Sentiment analysis
| Category | Score | Guest Sentiment |
|---|---|---|
| Cleanliness | 1 | Multiple reviews report poor housekeeping: bed linen not changed, dirt on duvet and sheets, garbage on the floor and dust on windowsills in one stay; a few reviews note very clean rooms but overall cleanliness is mixed-to-negative with several serious lapses. |
| Service | 1 | Consistently praised: many reviewers call staff friendly, smiley, helpful and accommodating (reception, breakfast staff, general hospitality). Some maintenance responses were slow or inadequate, but overall staff manner and hospitality are strong across reviews. |
| Location | 1 | Standard quality for this hotel tier (no explicit comments about location in the reviews). |
| Room Quality | 1 | Mixed: positives include comfy beds, good pillows and attractive ‘Old British’ styled rooms; negatives include dark walls/poor lighting, small rooms, limited facilities, poor shower heating, clogged drains, weak air-conditioning and some cheap-feeling fittings. |
| Amenities | 1 | Notable omissions and failures: lack of basic bathroom supplies (no hand soap, no bathrobe, inadequate tissues/towels), limited parking, face-scanning check-in criticized, and inconsistent maintenance of AC/vents. |
| Value for Money | 1 | Several guests expected a higher (4–5 star) standard and were disappointed by cleanliness, drainage and amenity issues; others found the stay acceptable. Overall perception tilts below expected value for the stated star level. |
| Food and Beverage | 1 | Mixed but skewed positive: some buffet issues (poor quality, rotten fruit) reported on one day, but a la carte and freshly cooked items received praise; multiple mentions of standout culinary experience with an excellent chef and good breakfast items (pancake, fresh juice). |
| Overall Experience | 1 | Varied stays: several guests had great experiences (noting staff and chef), while at least one stay was seriously below expected 5-star standards due to cleanliness and maintenance failures. Net experience is slightly positive thanks to strong service and some excellent F&B moments despite operational problems. |

See the evidence
The room was clean, spacious, and well maintained.
The comfy bed and pillows, furnishing, ambience, air condition was super cold (love this) hi tech toilet (Japanese-inspired I guess), facial recognition system to enter the room, etc.
The room was not mad up until quite late in the afternoon.
The sound insulation in the room is extremely poor! I was already awakened by the hotel's music around 8:00 in the morning. The sounds of people in the hallway and doors closing in other rooms were very clear.See all reviews about rooms

34 relevant reviewsGuests repeatedly praise D’Kelly Hotel’s spotless, new, stylish design, luxurious ambience, friendly service, comfort, and value. Distinctive technology includes facial recognition, touch-controlled rooms, and an intelligent toilet with seat warmer. Breakfast, pastries, facilities, and rooftop pool are well regarded. See the evidence
Everything felt modern and high-tech even the lift, room access, air-conditioning, and lights were controlled by face recognition or touch screen.
The location is quite far from everything. No restaurant nearby. You definitely need a car.
It is incomplete hotel (not fully open) and the water heater is not working properly.

See the evidence
Everyone from reception to the restaurant and pool staff greeted you with a smile and engaged with you in a warm, natural way, never making it feel forced.
A very new hotel with really friendly staff who also remembered our names very quickly!
We requested a hotel maintenance staff to come to fix it, he came and just adjusted the aircon temperature up to 25°C.

The booking website stated that breakfast would be a buffet, but when we arrived, it was actually à la carte.
Breakfast should've improvements as this is my second stay in 3 month's - same old menu and lack of variety in food
The breakfast area was pleasant, but clearer food labelling would be appreciated — salad dressings had no tags, and the yogurt was blueberry despite being labelled as strawberry. Some bread loaves were also unlabelled.
The quality of the food was poor with the exception of the pancake. The fruit was not fresh, some tangerines were rotten as big black spots could be seen.See all reviews about breakfast
