The room was clean, spacious, and well‑equipped.

I stayed three night and the room was not clean a single day.

Bedsheets were dirty and had hair/stains from previous occupant.

My first room was not sound proof as i could hear noises throughout the day from the room next door, so i requested for a room change.

The staff truly stood out. From the concierge to reception and housekeeping, everyone was friendly, attentive, and exceeded expectations.

Marlina handled the situation with great professionalism, patience, and efficiency.

Even though there were many guests during Ramadan, the staff remained friendly, patient, and very helpful.

When we checked out, we were told to pay for parking anyway. After we complained, it turned out they had never entered our plate number into the system. Even though it was clearly their mistake, they refused to refund the parking fee.

Location was good as it was close to the JB Sentral Station and the Johor Checkpoint- was super convenient for us coming from Singapore.

The location is very convenient with easy access via Zenith and within walking distance to Komtar JBCC and City Square.

While the Hotel was located in the heart of the activity in JB, the access to the place because of construction around the area was a little difficult.

Noise level of vehicles and motorists honking ramming engines at night lasts a few hours even though we were at 18th floor.

Repeated this hotel many times but never regrets due to hotel rooms, bed sheets and toilets is super clean.

We had an overall pleasant stay at Amari Hotel, especially in terms of comfort, service, and location.

Great Hotel Overall but Check-In Experience Needs Improvement

This hotel is definitely not a 5star hotel.

Breakfast spread was excellent with a wide array of different foods from various parts of the world.

Breakfast was another highlight with a wide spread of options and consistently good quality.

The breakfast buffet bread and pastries are all stale and not freshly prepared.

We stayed for 3 nights but saw the same food more of the times.

Despite the stated 3pm check-in time, only one of our two booked rooms was ready. The second room was only available around 5pm, which disrupted our planned itinerary.

Waited for 1.5 hours from 3.10 pm to 4.35 pm to get our room as we were told by the reception staff that our room had not been inspected. We were asked to sit around at the lobby.

At checkout, they tried to charge me again, even though it was already paid when I checked in two weeks ago. It took a quarter of an hour to sort it out.

Check in/our counter is at level 6 instead of level 1 - a bit difficult to find.

Facilities in the hotel was more than expected , especially where there is a kid's corner for the kids to relax and watch cartoon with a large screen, a games room where adults and children can play together, even a small drinks corner to welcome guests.

We enjoyed playing pool and table soccer at the games room (at Level 6).

The gym was minimal.

Lifts are slow and no indication at lobby which can be frustrating.

The therapist was professional, attentive, and well-skilled, making sure the pressure was just right and checking in throughout the session. The massage helped release a lot of tension, and I left feeling refreshed and recharged.

The package included a scrub, a 90 mins massage and lastly, a facial treatment. Ambience was good, very relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed the session.

The place was clean, private, and very comfortable. Syazwana and Diana were incredibly professional, attentive to every detail, and made the entire session feel personalized and relaxing.

The spa was disappointing and not worth the money.

The spread of food was truly impressive—so much variety, beautifully presented, and most importantly, absolutely delicious.

Most of our food came only after more than 1 hour of waiting. For the first hour, not even our drinks (the simplest order - a coke) were served.

Restaurant got 50% of our order wrong

Fried oyster omelette by a chinese guy was excellent with wok hei so is the grilled fresh oysters nicely done by guy chef. Grilled Beef was hard and tasteless.

The pool is too small and closes at 7pm.

The water remains cold even in the afternoons, which makes it less enjoyable for swimming.

Additionally, there were noticeable small debris and dirt in the pool each time I visited — including during a return stay a few months later — suggesting that the cleaning may not be consistent.

Pool Access rooms are so convenient for kids and hijabs sister.

Was charged carpark fees of RM10 per night because the stay was booked via booking.com. if stay was booked direct with Amari, carpark is free.

The carpark ticketing system was terrible, not user friendly for driving guests. While exiting the property you have to stop at the exit barrier and go down to the carpark management office, pass them the ticket and get them to open up the exit barrier which could ended up about 5 minutes.

Fast forward to trying to get a replacement ticket and was hit by a 200RM replacement fee for a parking ticket. The hotel and carpark are not transparent about this fee, as it does not state such a fee at the gantry, nor do the staff tell you upfront about the importance of this piece of paper.

Love the fact that the carpark is safe.

An accident occurred and despite 2 complaints, no action was taken. I have sustained an injury from the incident.

I didnt like that the gym is not 24 hours.

I was stuck for 2 hours in the evening of 1 Feb trying to get back to the hotel since the road in front of the hotel was closed, for some unknown reason.

The way to link to the hotel... Quite a walk and a bit inconvenient for tourist carrying big luggage

Difficult to get grab (road facing komtar) due to the jam and grabdrivers dont want to take us.

Excellent access to JB Sentral.
