Rooms: What guests say

513 relevant reviews

Rooms are commonly described as clean, spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully Disney- or Marvel-themed, with large beds, bathtubs, and convenient charging ports. Some family rooms fit four, though others feel small or require booking two rooms. Recurring drawbacks include thin walls and hard beds; guests also note limited storage, no room service, and no complimentary bottled water. A few report pests or bathroom drainage and safety issues.

See the evidence
The rooms were spacious, modern, and thoughtfully designed. Small details such as the universal charging ports were especially convenient for international travelers.
There was one problem, which prevented me from a good night's sleep one night. Unfortunately the sound proofing of the rooms are bad, and how our neighbors were talking all night until 2 am could be heard very loud, and I couldn't sleep at all.
The room was a bit too small for four people. The two beds were small for two adults, and the mattress was quite hard.
There seemed to be bugs or some other pest in the room. My children and I received numerous bites during our two-night stay. This was extremely uncomfortable and disappointing, and it significantly affected our overall experience.

Location: What guests say

431 relevant reviews

The main draw is easy, quick access to Hong Kong Disneyland, making the hotel convenient for park-focused stays; guests also praise the peaceful waterfront and grounds. The secluded location is far from central Hong Kong and offers few nearby restaurants, shops, supermarkets, or pharmacies, so budget meals and late-night snacks can be difficult to find.

See the evidence
Access to the parks is very easy and quick, which helps a lot after a tiring day at the park. The area behind the hotel, along the waterfront, is beautiful!
There are no convenience stores or other restaurants nearby (except the hotel’s).
While your handy to Disneyland you are not within walking distance of any non-Disney restaurant's. There is a small Seven eleven within walking distance, but doesn't offer meal options.
Unlike many Disney hotels, guests do not get the benefit of entering the park early. Also, because it is far from the city,

Staff: What guests say

450 relevant reviews

Guests most often describe staff as friendly, courteous, and helpful, with standout service including quickly recovering a child’s lost cap and thoughtful birthday gifts. Character appearances and photo opportunities were memorable for families. Service was not consistent: some guests reported unhelpful reception or luggage assistance, communication difficulties, and alleged discriminatory treatment based on language or race.

See the evidence
On the day we visited Disneyland, my son lost his cap somewhere (we couldn’t figure out where), and we only noticed just before checking out of the hotel. When we checked out, we spoke to the staff and described what it looked like. They told us to wait a little, and within 15 minutes they had found it!
The highlight for our kids was the characters who showed up to take pictures and say hello to everyone.
Upon arrival we had 3 suitcases, a stroller and 2 sleeping toddlers with not one to help unload the bags.
the staff discriminated people who speak mandarin.

Facilities: What guests say

410 relevant reviews

Guests repeatedly praised the clean, well-maintained facilities, distinctive Disney theming, gardens and outdoor play areas, and plentiful children’s activities. Exterior renovations often obscured the façade and photo opportunities, though many reported little disruption. Recurring drawbacks include no convenience store, limited or paid amenities such as toothbrushes, and occasional complaints about uneven paths or an overpowering foyer smell.

See the evidence
Facilities and activities for kids are great
The hotel is very clean and facilities are well maintained.
Was not told upon book they were doing renovations so it was very disappointing to turn up to the hotel with scaffolding everywhere and the hotel completely covered.
There are no convenience stores or vending machines inside the hotel.

Restaurant: What guests say

370 relevant reviews

Dining is repeatedly described as expensive, with limited choices and few casual, quick-service, or late-night options; restaurants may close before late arrivals can eat, and room service is generally unavailable. The buffet offers variety but is costly, and vegetarian and halal choices can be sparse. Some guests praise the food and themed experiences at Ink & Plate and The Archivist.

See the evidence
The complete lack of casual and/or quick service dining options was a no for us.
The food options after a long flight were unavailable because both restaurants were closed.
If you're a pure vegetarian, look elsewhere: there was no proper vegetarian food, and the few options were repetitive or disappointing.
The Archivist was beautifully decorated with Marvel-themed décor, and the food was delicious.

Transport: What guests say

318 relevant reviews

Free shuttles to Disneyland are the standout convenience, usually running every 10–15 minutes and taking about 5–10 minutes; some run late into the night. Services also connect to the MTR and other resort hotels. Guests noted there is no airport shuttle, so airport trips require a taxi or other transport.

See the evidence
The free shuttle to the Disneyland entrance was great, and operated every 10-15 minutes.
We were traveling as a family with children aged 4 and 7, so we went back and forth between the park and hotel quite a bit, sometimes because we’d forgotten something in the room or needed to return to the hotel. Each time, the bus arrived within five minutes, and we never had to wait long!
The shuttle bus runs every 15 minutes to the metro station, which is also where the entrance to Disney Park is.
We would also like to suggest that the Disney resort consider offering an airport shuttle service, as it would make travel much easier and eliminate the need to rely on local taxis.

Breakfast: What guests say

186 relevant reviews

Breakfast at Ink & Plate offers a broad range of Western, Chinese, and Hong Kong-style dishes, with Disney character photo opportunities that many families enjoy. However, it is frequently described as expensive, especially for families and children, and may cost extra even when guests expect it to be included. Reviews also mention busy service, inconsistent food quality, and limited child-friendly choices.

See the evidence
The breakfast is unreasonable especially the price for the kids, I paid so much since I have four kids and they just ate too little for $235 for all of us family just for a breakfast🥴
The breakfast buffet was very good, but the website advertises something that isn’t real: breakfast with Mickey and his friends, with photos as they come around to the tables and interact with the little ones. That’s false. They offer a good-quality conventional buffet, but you have to queue for a photo with a Disney character, and that’s it.
The breakfast offers a wide variety of Western, Chinese, and Hong Kong-style dishes. There are plenty of choices, and you can take photos and interact with Disney characters while dining.
I didn’t like an unpleasant situation I had at breakfast… I was happily eating when, out of nowhere, a cast member came to the table to charge me for breakfast before I had even finished.

Pool: What guests say

157 relevant reviews

Guests often praise the pool as a relaxing, family-friendly break, especially the slide and free towels, swim rings, and life vests; lifeguards help parents feel safe. It is open until 10 p.m. when available. However, repeated reports describe closures or maintenance, and some find it small, awkward to reach through the lobby, or lacking convenient food and drink service.

See the evidence
After our second day in the park, we decided to cool off in the hotel pool which was awesome and just what we needed. Rubber rings and life jackets are available for free to borrow as well as towels, and there were three lifeguards on duty so it felt very safe for the little ones. My husband braved the water slide too and we all enjoyed the jacuzzi.
The pool is big enough and open till 10 pm so can swim after sunset.
They were doing maintenance on the pool. (Worse is that they closed ALL the main pools of the 3 hotels), leaving only 1 (inside) pool available, which was small.
No pool bar for drinks/snacks. Had to walk through the lobby soaking wet to get a drink

Check-in / Check-out: What guests say

104 relevant reviews

Many guests describe check-in and check-out as quick and smooth, and luggage storage before check-in or after checkout is a useful perk. Early check-in is inconsistent, with the 3 p.m. rule enforced and occasional long queues or delays. Some guests report unclear deposit requirements or slow refunds, while others praise helpful staff and convenient late-hour check-in.

See the evidence
They informed us that they would contact us as soon as the room was ready since we had requested early check-in. We arrived at 5am and had notified them in advance, especially as we were traveling with a toddler who needed rest. However, we ended up checking in at the official time of 3pm without receiving any prior update. It was only at 3:30pm—after we had already checked in—that we received the email saying the room was ready.
Long queue at check-in, it'd be great adding extra check-in staff on high occupancy day.
Also at check in you have to deposit $3000 HKD what you will not get back in the promised 7 days after check out. We check out on April 24 and today is 10 May the deposit hasn’t release yet…..
We were able to still store our luggage for the day after checking out while we were at the theme park.
