Opened in May 1971 and identified as Japan’s first skyscraper hotel, the property helped establish Nishi-Shinjuku as a modern business district.

The original tower rose approximately 170 metres above ground and was described for a period as Tokyo’s tallest building.

Restaurants and lounges are arranged across the 2nd, 3rd and 7th floors, creating a large multi-level dining collection within the towers.

The Sky Pool occupies the 7th floor and operates seasonally rather than throughout the year.

The hotel has 32 banquet rooms, comprising 3 large, 8 medium and 21 small rooms, plus one chapel.

Business-events listings identify a further 20 meeting rooms alongside the main banquet inventory.

Premier Grand guests can reserve complimentary meeting-room use for up to two hours.

The dining portfolio includes Teppan-yaki Yamanami, Tempura Shun, Sushi Kyubey, Japanese cuisine Kagari and Soba Fumotoya.

The walk from Shinjuku Station’s West Exit through the underground passageway toward the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building takes about five minutes.
