Rooms: What guests say

106 relevant reviews

Rooms are repeatedly praised as spacious, clean, comfortable, and suitable for families, with attractive views, strong Wi-Fi, comfortable beds, and well-equipped suites. Recurring drawbacks include outdated or poorly cleaned bathrooms, weak or lukewarm hot-water pressure, insufficient towels and missing in-room items, occasional noisy air-conditioning, maintenance issues, and some dated furnishings.

See the evidence
The room felt grounded and quiet with the cool tile floors, thick walls that made it almost completely soundproof, and wide bay windows that opened toward the sunset over Manila Bay.
The hot water is not working properly, the shower partition is not big enough (only half) resulting water from the shower are splashing all over.
The room was spacious but dusty (couch and headboard triggered my rhinitis) and the place overall felt old and a bit creepy. Bathroom fixtures were dirty and clogged, definitely not 5-star standard.
The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with complete amenities like a bathrobes, minibar, and a cozy seating area.

Staff: What guests say

103 relevant reviews

Reviews overwhelmingly praise the staff as warm, friendly, attentive, professional, and accommodating, with Filipino hospitality repeatedly highlighted across front desk, bell, housekeeping, security, and restaurant teams. Guests specifically commend Adeline, Christine, Hazuki, Paolo, and others for personalized help, upgrades, early check-in, and memorable service, though isolated comments mention poor communication or a less-warm reception.

See the evidence
The staff were exceptionally warm, professional, and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile.
A very special mention to Miss Adeline from guest services who went above and beyond to make sure that our stay at Vivere was memorable.
In particular was the fast action of Dannielle of the Frontdesk to upgrade one of our room reservations as the original room had some issues. In addition, she gave us an early check in, a pleasant surprise for us seniors.
They epitomise Filipino hospitality and are a credit to themselves and the hotel.

Overall: What guests say

60 relevant reviews

Vivere is repeatedly praised for clean, comfortable rooms, a cozy Filipino-inspired boutique atmosphere, attentive service, good dining, Laguna views, and a convenient Alabang location near a mall. Families and couples often describe relaxing repeat stays and good off-peak value. Some guests dispute the 5-star rating, citing dated condition and poor value at full price.

See the evidence
I love the boutique feel, where it is elevated without being flashy and the Filipino textiles, that gives the space earthy and cultural character.
Good ambiance, nice view, attentive staff. perfect for reunions. The Nest, The Sanctuary and rooms are clean. Chef John Lee is commendable.
Great location as it’s a short walk away from the mall.
The hotel bills itself as a 5-star, but, is not. 3.5 to 4 is more their speed.

Location: What guests say

68 relevant reviews

Vivere is repeatedly praised for its central, safe, accessible Alabang location, directly across from Festival Mall and within walking distance of shops, restaurants, groceries, and entertainment. ATC is roughly 2.5 km or a five-minute drive. Skyway access is convenient, though a music festival across the road caused disruptive noise for one stay.

See the evidence
Festival Supermall is just across the street, making it easy to grab coffee, shop, or simply stroll around without needing to drive.
Centrally located in the heart of Alabang, you can literally reach the Alabang town center and Festival Mall on foot, which is super convenient.
It is also easily accessed on the Skyway to and from the Airport.
there was a 2 day music festival across the road from the hotel; this was noisy with to many people in the general area detracting for our stay

Breakfast: What guests say

48 relevant reviews

Breakfast is often praised as tasty, well prepared, and varied, with Filipino and Western choices, made-to-order omelets, and memorable rooftop or 31st-floor views. However, recurring complaints cite limited or repetitive selections, queues and crowded seating, high pricing, extra charges for iced coffee or hot chocolate, occasional stale fruit, and uncovered food exposed to flies.

See the evidence
Breakfast buffet on top floor looked amazing and the food was great!
The food was buffet style with a good amount of Filipino and Western options.
A few areas for improvement: the breakfast buffet can get crowded due to limited seating, food choices were somewhat limited, and the dining area can become quite warm once the sun is up.
The breakfast buffet on the roof top is plagued by full sized flies, there are no screens for the food.

Restaurant: What guests say

35 relevant reviews

The Nest rooftop restaurant is the standout: guests repeatedly praise its spectacular Laguna and nighttime views, romantic ambiance, music, and generally excellent food, making it popular for celebrations. Breakfast quality is praised by some but criticized by others as limited or below standard. Reservations may be essential, with reports of inconsistent availability and disappointing staff handling; few nearby options open late.

See the evidence
The Nest is a fantastic restaurant with stunning views of Laguna.
Food is world class but the top floor restaurant is spectacular no matter which part of day!
I do wish I would have known that to eat at the roof top restaurant, required a reservation many days in advance.
The breakfast buffet focused more on quality than quantity, with favorites like the congee and crispy danggit.

25 relevant reviews

Many guests report fast, smooth check-in and check-out with friendly staff and occasional early or late checkout flexibility. Recurring negatives include rooms not being ready, waits of 20–40 minutes, slow reception, poor communication, missing keys or towels, and unexpected full-night charges for early check-in.

See the evidence
The check in procedure is so slow we have to wait for 40 minutes because the room is not yet ready
We arrived around 3:15pm but the room was made available around 4pm.
however it was almost 4pm when i called the Front desk to follow uo and she told me that other room is ready and they will just send the keys in the room. i waited for 20mins still no keys.
we got in very early in the morning and opted to pay for the early check-in which was a FULL night's stay.

Pool: What guests say

16 relevant reviews

The rooftop pool on the fourth floor is generally refreshing and rarely crowded, with reservations sometimes providing private use. However, it is repeatedly described as small with limited loungers, and some guests found it old or disappointing. Availability can be a serious concern, including closures for events, maintenance, or entire stays.

See the evidence
The pool was a pleasant surprise as it never felt crowded, making it easy to relax.
Pool and gym needed to be booked but this never caused any issues and usually meant you had the pool or gym to yourself for your allotted time.
it's small with limited lounge chairs, but, very refreshing.
THE POOL WAS CLOSE THROUGHOUT MY 10 DAYS I WAS THERE WHICH TO ME WAS VERY DISAPPOINTING AND I WAS NEVER TOLD BEFORE HAND
