The hotel occupies four conserved shophouses dating to 1936, originally home to Chye Hua Seng Wee Kee, a remittance office serving the Chinese diaspora.

The property combines a four-shophouse Heritage Wing with a contemporary five-storey Urban Wing.

WOHA reimagined the property through a contemporary interpretation of 1930s Chinese Art Deco.

The Urban Wing features an aluminium art facade incorporating excerpts from original remittance letters, while Chinese characters on the conserved facade reference remittance destinations.

The rooftop infinity pool and lounge is reserved for hotel guests and has been described as Singapore’s first exposed stainless-steel pool.

The elevated rooftop pool provides skyline views over Singapore, including views towards Marina Bay.

The 30-square-metre Urban Luxe room offers views of the city and bay.

The Heritage 2-Bedroom Suite spans 55 square metres within the historically inflected Heritage Wing.
