      The rooms are extremely spacious, comfortable, and very well equipped, with all the practical facilities needed for a longer stay while still retaining the feel and comfort of a luxury hotel.
      The hotel is very poorly soundproofed on the street side; for apartments on the other sides, I don't know. We were on the 12th floor and felt like we were sleeping on the sidewalk in front of the hotel, having very light sleep, earplugs are a must.
      Be careful not to book a room with a view of the lobby. The room I was given was really strange. The windows faced into the lobby.
      The bedding is comfortable but the pillows are as thick as a Moroccan pouf, nothing better to wake up with your neck at a right angle, quite surprising for a 5-star establishment.

      The staff were so friendly and welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you.
      The concierge Mr. V has been amazing with us, he helped us booking taxis and great places to visit.
      The staff also wrote a happy birthday card for my little niece and gave flowers to my mother in law for the Mother’s day when they were visiting.
      Staff are not trained to resolve customer issues or even try to understand.

      The hotel’s strongest advantage is its location directly beside St. Louis BTS, with easy access to Siam, Silom, the river, Mahanakhon Tower, shopping, restaurants, street food, supermarkets, and ferries. However, South Sathorn is a busy main-road setting: some rooms experience traffic noise, while the immediate neighborhood can feel quiet, less lively, and limited for dining.

      Ascott Sathorn Bangkok is located on South Sathorn Road, making it easily accessible as it's just a few steps from BTS Saint Louis station.
      One BTS station is only about 100 metres away, and another BTS station, together with an MRT station, is about 500 metres away. This makes it very easy to travel around Bangkok.
      The location is 5 min to Mahanakhon Tower, right by BTS St. Luis
      It is located right in front of BTS and the main road, but outside noise is not soundproof, so it can get a bit noisy at night.

      The fact that I have returned several times probably says a lot: for a longer stay in Bangkok, I find the hotel exceptionally comfortable, convenient, and pleasant.
      Spacious and clean with lots of amenities, making it convenient for families with elderly and children.
      The property is a little dated in terms of decor style but it is very well maintained and comfortable so don’t let this put you off.
      Great location for all areas of interest. Easy reach of Temples, Shopping, Restaurants, Roof top bars. Staff very helpful and home from home feel.

      The breakfast buffet location is pretty, but the price is quite high for a limited selection.
      Breakfast on level 7th was cosy and not crowded which makes the experience a very enjoyable one in addition to the great spread of food choices.
      Breakfast is close to terrible (na basic products available nevertheless you are at 7 or at 10). Price is 500 baht so expectations were high. Please see the photos.
      But you have to order omelets, different types of eggs, and bacon. It took over half an hour for it to arrive both days we were there.

      The pool is the biggest advantage of this hotel.
      The pool on the 7th floor was excellent, and the sunset between the buildings was lovely.
      Another thing to improve is the floor around the pool. The tiles used are extremely slippery and it is really dangerous.
      Nice pool area but serious lack of enough sun loungers, which makes it difficult to enjoy.

      The gym was the biggest, most well-equipped gym I have ever seen in a hotel.
      It felt like an exclusive celebrity gym, not at all crowded, a whole floor of the hotel with views and loads of new and interesting equipment.
      Gym lovers not book, the gym is temporarily closed and replaced by a small space that you get nothing out of.
      At 400 baht per locker per day it is a NEW (and unnecessary) expense guests should be aware of BEFORE they travel.

      The restaurant attached to the hotel for lunch and dinner is great - a pub style restaurant with both western and Thai food.
      Restaurant right next to the building- clean with great food, we went back for our dinner during our stay.
      Dinner by the pool would have been great if the food had been served warm and prepared according to the guest's wishes.
      The restaurant at the 7th floor is in need of upkeep, ie there were stains on the chairs.

      It takes two weeks to get your deposit of 1000 baht back when you used your CC for it.
      It took me 45 minutes to check in and I was the only person there.
      Our room was ready for Check-In even a little before our scheduled arrival time (2 p.m), so we were able to check-in about 30 to 45 minutes earlier, with no fee.
      I requested a late checkout, and they said until 2 PM was free, and after that, I paid an amount roughly equal to a full day's rate.

      The hotel’s strongest transport advantage is its immediate proximity to the BTS/Skytrain, making it very convenient for sightseeing and avoiding traffic. Taxis and Grab can be delayed or struggle to find the hotel during peak hours. Several guests found hotel-arranged airport transfers expensive or unreliable and preferred booking Grab independently.

      The BTS Station is just in front of the hotel.
      But, traffic in this area was terrible. So, taking taxi / Grab was very challenging, especially in the morning and evening.
      The company that picks you up from the airport make you wait for 20 mins so it's much quicker to get a Grab yourself.
      Taxi and Tuk -Tuk drivers do not know the hotel location.
