We knew that staying there which made us decide to just relax at the property most of time and just really make the most of it.

I would definitely return and recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet getaway and especially if you want to truly rest and relax.

I chose to stay- in just to enjoy the place instead of going for a drive for all the good food in Ipoh.

Ok stay, being a returning customer for past 5-6 years, there’s nothing much to look forward to, perhaps the new management.

Overall a good place to stay, but a lot more care and attention is required for a 5-star hotel.

Great place to chill for the weekend, resort n room were clean, staff polite n helpful, breakfast rather good.

I am pleased to say that my stay has been excellent and has surpassed all my expectations.

New management is a bit rigid on certain aspects, didn’t feel as 'welcoming' as previous years.

The property management are very strict which implies unnecessary rules, which potentially spoils the vacation mode.

I would say this reminded me of a budget hotel, definitely not 5-star as advertised.

Im sure any 2 star hotel in ipoh would have been a better stay.

The hotel clearly had a shortage of staff working at the breakfast buffet.

You can enjoy a relaxing vacation in a very calm and quiet environment.

Other than that everything was below expectations for what I paid for.

The hotel needs to pay more close attention to the finer details.

The unit we stayed came with coffee machine, fridge and microwave.

Ran out of hot water in the shower in the first night and thought it wasn't much of an issue as there was a second shower/bathroom to use (it was a 2 bedroom suite for the 4 of us), however there was a major drainage issue which flooded the shower and bathroom space in a matter of minutes.

The apartment is spacious and fully equipped in terms of amenities and tools, and what makes it stand out more is the presence of a water cooler with hot water in addition to the kettle and coffee machine.

The room was spacious enough to fit all 5 adults and 2 kids, the bed was comfortable, the fridge was good with some titbits, and the view is majestic!

Called reception the next morning and they sent someone to attend to it during the day, though retrying the shower that night the drainage issue still persisted.

It is an apartment right? people who book apartments require it to have a semblance of a residence, otherwise they will book a hotel.

Suggested few of the suite must have ramp on the door step, guess with wheel chair able to arrange to stay in.

We don’t have internet connection at one time for about 2 hours, so we can’t finish up our online work on time.

We left that shower room as-is and used the working shower room instead fortunately the hot water didn't run out again.

The design of the apartment, nice design, spacious, big window, floor-to-ceiling glass doors to view the beautiful landscape surrounding the resort.

The flat above was very noisy, despite reporting it to reception, the noise continued all day and into the early night.

Air Conditioning in the room was not cold and unable to adjust anything from the panel ( temperature, fan speed, etc...)

Poorly maintained, rooms were not cleaned with tissues under the bed, lots of dust around and toilets were full of grout.

The size of the rooms (we took the 2+1 bedroom. Excellent for anything above 3 guests to 5/6 guests!

Tiles seems have stain, sofa is torn, and no astro, neflix or cable TV to watch (very limited channels).

If we knew theres only 2 unit of the same type at 1 floor, we would choose different unit.

There’s a junior playroom at Ground Floor. Adequate to keep the kids occupied, but could be improved further.

Bathroom floor was constantly wet as water spilled over from the shower since there was no door.

I was initially assigned to a two bedroom unit instead of a 2+1 bedroom unit..

The suites were spacious and had a balcony that overlooked the lake and mountains.

The room was big with two bed room of the almost top floor.

The cleanliness was not good, especially the bathrooms, the apartment was with dust.

Because our main priority is to stay close to each other.

The floors in the kitchen and bathrooms were not very clean.

Didn't make a complaint because the one outside is usable.

The rooms are very old and run down.

The room is clean with snacks n drinks.

Unit is clean spacious and well maintained

Toilet paper dispenser is placed Behind you.

Snacks can also be requested for refill.

This made the stay very unpleasant!

One of your foreigner security guard was very rude - chasing to move my car away while I was waiting for my ailing mother to embark the car at the entrance after we checked out, even after I told him about my ailing mother. So rude!

A big thank you to Mr Kesavan at the front desk who very kindly offered to check us into a single unit (with close, amazing view of the limestone), instead of two separate units booking.com offered!

The staff is not helpful when we request to clear and wipe the tables from the previous occupants so we had to put the dirty plates aside ourselves before we could have our breakfast.

The receptionist was unhelpful because I forgot my card in the room and couldn't enter, and it took her a long time to give me a card, and she is short.

When I requested for clarification, the staff explained that it was an error and very quickly arranged for a swift transfer to the correct unit (with a better view).

Raymond & Arif found my left behind Apple Airpod in the suite and sent them back to me back home in Singapore after a week!

There was a member of the staff (I believe his name was Miguel) who was extremely helpful and welcoming, but he was the only one.

For a 5 star resort I would expect some more attention from the staff, a simple good morning was already a bridge too far.

Waited at the lobby for almost half an hour for the room without proper explanation with a grumpy 2-year-old at 5pm.

Although the staff later managed to sit us together, it was still a hassle having to wait until we are seated.

We were told that we were not allowed to sit there and expected to move food and children to another area.

Staff directions were not so clear (took sometime to find tower B, the lift, activation of scanning of access card).

However, everytime we go at 7am for the 3 days we are there, the food and cutlery were not ready.

I should also mention that the reception staff were very attentive and resolved a problem in the room very satisfactorily.

Housekeeping continued to provide towels everyday even when we didn't request extra as encouraged by their eco program.

Simply the staff will not say "No" to you, which I highly appreciate in the hospitality business.

Hamad at check in and Miguel from Malacca at Cuisines Restaurant deserve special shout out.

But subsequent guests were allowed to sit in the area that we first sat.

The staff who were at the reception desk when we checked in were terrible.

The staff were so friendly and clear in their explanation of the hotel facilities.

Cleaner are lazy..showing face if asked to focused on certain area to clean.

The staffs at the reception counter were NOT friendly and helpful at all.

I had to ask 3 times for the staff to replenish the food.

I complained but after waiting for 1 hour, I just left the place.

He suggested we pay a bit more to enjoy 3-room vs 2.5-room comfort.

The reception staff is outstanding, especially sister Kiranjjit Kaur

It totally make me nervous and uncomfortable, he even take 4 knife on the table but he was only one sitting on table... It was a bad experience for me, after that I just stop enjoy my breakfast and direct go for check out...

However, when we arrived, we were asked to have breakfast at a place that look like a temporary set up behind Cuisines restaurant, the floor was not even and there were mosquitos.

Breakfast choices - coffee - only one choice - black coffee, and food was average and too much carbs and not much choices with vegetables or salads.

I was charged RM48 per pax to add on breakfast for my kids which I'm still sore about because it was such a waste of money.

Breakfast was good (someone please tell the chef not to put tomato in Ipoh Hor Fun soup base, weird ingredient for a local delicacy).

Breakfast was not even held at the restaurant but at a tent BEHIND the building, unacceptable for the price I paid for.

We were encouraged by the reception to take the 7am slot for breakfast as it was the less crowded slot.

The breakfast price for adults of RM48 is a little bit pricey compared to the selection of food provided.

We were given a slot 7:00 till 8:30 for breakfast but the egg counter only opens 15 minutes later.

We wised up the next day and just bought some pastries and had it in our hotel.

When i having breakfast with my family, a mental issue people without outfits always staring at us.

If you are not prepared to do breakfast at 7am, then don’t offer it at that time.

The breakfast spread was good but the taste could be improved and some dishes were not replenished.

Breakfast was not up to par especially when seated at the outside seating under the tent.

But unfortunately we were charged for the KIDS breakfast. Only the 5 Adults had breakfast coupon.

We were told to have our breakfast at Cuisines restaurant which is facing the lake.

It took the hotel around 10 minutes to ensure all the food are served.

Coffee was like brown water (and we are in the land of white coffee!).

Good breakfast food but too many people and need to que to get table.

Tables were not cleaned for new arriving guests, food was mediocre and slow.

B/f - insufficient quantity, esp for those in the 2nd session. Horrible experience

For a #1 rated restaurant on trip advisor, the food was bad.

Buffet breakfast spread need to improve a lot in taste and variety.

Breakfast is what you would see in a budget hotel.

Needs more selection/variety for breakfast, especially at the salad bar.

Exceptional view but no upgrades/aging rooms e.g. noisy aircond, slow heater, non-hd non-smart TV. Only come here for the impeccable view, nature, zen vibe.

The place was breathtaking with a wonderful view of nature and is one of the most beautiful hotels in terms of nature.

Location a bit far from city but since I had a driver throughout trip, was not much of an issue.

The reason given for poor connectivity was because of the weather and located near to mountains.

I also love how we can walk / jog around the lake and the sports facilities.

The hotel is in peaceful Tambun, but still close to the city center and tourist spots

The room that we chose are facing the breathtaking hill scenery of Ipoh.

Despite this, the apartments are great, the facilities and location are really good.

Not the most accessible area. You will do we with a car.

The view was good

Lots of facilities such as archery and fish feet spa were not running, maybe due to staffing issue but we were looking forward to them.

The lighting in one of the bathrooms, in the shower area, was low, and the toilet seat, may God honor you, was somewhat small.

The tent outside was covered in moss and algae, really unsightly not worthy of the 5 star label this resort claims to be.

Both showers in the suite have minor leakage; little stains on the bed sheets, and on the pantry floor.

First look at the building n lobby doesn't impress me as it doesn't look like 5 star hotel.

There was mildew all over the bathroom and the bathroom doors were creaking, requiring some upkeep.

The cleanliness of the resort need to improve. The floor and bathroom are dirty. Cursory housekeeping.

Beautiful, well maintained with a variety of plants and helpful signs explaining their name and history.

The gym was spacious, the jacuzzi heated and comfortable, and the bunnies and pony so cute!

They are washing the pool during the operation hour which caused inconvenience to us.

No archery no possibilities to play badminton or tennis as they didn’t have materials

The house was impeccably clean and all the facilities were in perfect working order.

But you could see stain on the wall, shower curtain, dust at corner etc.

The hotel grounds, views, landscape, facilities (swimming pool & gym) are always excellent.

The resort could arrange for more activities given that the location isnt fantastic.

The shower doors leaked a little, so bathroom floors got wet after shower.

Maybe next time they can add a pool table, carrom board, dart board.

When it rained, we could not use the outdoor facilities nor wifi.

The place is clean but not feeling luxurious compared to the price.

Most of the facility no longer avail.... like archery flying fox.

Could have better maintenance of shower curtains and toilets cleaned thoroughly.

The towels in the kitchen reeked and needed to be cleaned.

There were many pretty spots to just sit down and meditate.

Also enjoyed watching the ducks swimming in pairs around the lake

More cutleries , plates and bowls will b much appreciated

We enjoyed the games (badminton, ping pong, gyms).

Probably need to upgrade the infrastructure and facilities.

They offer healthy complimentary ginger drink!

The place is perfect for relaxation.

Toilets esp had musty smell.

It's a shame as it would have been nice to dip in the pool with the magnificent view and lights at night after a long day of sightseeing Ipoh.

Another thing that I really dislike is there's a group of photographers taking picture of sexy models posing around the swimming pool on Sunday morning of our stay.

Pool times are advertised as being open between 7am and 10pm, however the pools were closed by 8pm each night after speaking to one of the staff.

The Pool and the jacuzzi beds built into the pool with the view of the lake and the limestone hills was fantastic

I need to go and buy all 3 of my daughters and wife proper swimming attire that cost close to rm700.

Swimming pool was getting cleaned during the opening hours preventing people from using a portion of it

Around the pool, you can walk through the huge garden (fenced) while being in contact with nature.

We didn't get a chance to use the pool as it was a single day stay.

The pool is beautiful and the view of the lake against the limestone is gorgeous.

Pool was great. 5 pools. facing the mountains. very relaxing exactly what we needed.

And was informed that pool cleaning will be done for more than 2 hours.

What we liked the most was definitely the pool and the surroundings.

Pool - The pool is large and has a Jacuzzi in it.

Additional info on pool: operates till 8pm instead of 10pm as advertised.

By right it shouldn’t be under maintenance during hotel guests enjoying time.

There is also a huge dinosaur for taking some good pictures.

The food at the restaurant was very bad : not variety, sambal was tasteless, mee goreng and koeyteow goreng was tasteless, very hard to get the drink from the big jug thingy, because the glass doesn’t fit.

In the end my husband got quite annoyed and asked where our food was and it was brought out immediately, which meant that it must have just been sitting there.

The quality of the food is not bad although for me I don’t understand all the 5 star ratings for the restaurant although maybe COVID had a big impact.

We think that the waitress who took our order clocked off and forgot to put the order through to the kitchen, as everyone else wasn't waiting that long.

The food was so bad :( even the fried chicken i ate this morning taste like almost stale and a bit smelly obviously not a fresh chicken.

The whole experience was marred by the fact that we watched as family after family got served while we waited nearly 90 minutes for our dinner.

Food choices is not up to standard, taste is awful, food replenishment is very slow, entire restaurant is filled with flies and awful smell.

The staff asked us to go to the area upstairs when clearly they saw us with a disabled person in wheelchair.

I really felt like I was tricked with the free buffet and end up paying more than I should.

The restaurant has a lovely outside seating area near the pool and a good selection of local dishes.

We decided to eat at the hotel's restaurant as it boasted being the best in Ipoh.

Everyone was SO VERY DISAPPOINTED by the very low standard of the Christmas Dinner Buffet!

With a nearly empty restaurant it takes long to order and to bring the drinks/foods.

Banana boat took 30 min for serving at night when there is very minimal occupancy.

Even people who came after us got their food and were eating it.

We were given 2 free buffet dinner on the eve of Christmas.

Only a few varieties, and the taste is also not that good.

The food offered at the Cuisine were average despite being nominated #1.

The restaurant and breakfast is quite simple without a lot of choices.

The food was just not worth close to what was charged.

Even something as basic as coffee tasted like diluted brown water.

There are alot of foods but the taste was so bad.

The food in the restaurant is average and again no service.

The proposed area is not disabled friendly with stairs.

The food was not up to the expected level.

The restaurant itself was serving delicious variety of food.

We certainly did not eat there the second night.

Try the laksas for dinner too!

Before check in I request from property to decorate my room because I stay to celebrate my anniversary but property didn't answer my inquiries.

I have urgent things to do n have to be back to check out before 12pm else my deposit rm300 will be charged.

I would like to check out at 6.30am and there is no receptionist available n was being told to come back 7am.

The solution is actually very simple, get a coin and turn the lock around (fingernail doesnt work :p )

The check-in was a bit slow and those people queue behind, got to check in earlier.

Called the reception but it took very long for the technician to arrive.

I just stop enjoy my breakfast and direct go for check out...

One issue might be the bathroom - that is locked upon arrival.

If this is 5 star hotel..your receptionist should be available 24 hours.

Have RM300 deposit upon check in and not informing earlier in booking.

You know how everyone wants to use the bathroom upon arrival!

Luckily there's 2 bathrooms and only one is locked.

Twice access card issue happened to both our units.

Checked in at 530pm, but room was not ready.

Electricity tripped when we checked in to the room.

It is super easy to check in.

What if those have early flights??...

Should have a proper system.
