Guests repeatedly praise WEIL Hotel for clean, spacious, comfortable rooms, professional attentive service, strong value, and convenient direct access to Ipoh Parade near the old town. Rooftop pool/bar, unlimited water, complimentary supper, and thoughtful birthday setups stand out. Recurring reservations include an older feel, poor insulation, a non-working TV, and doubts about true five-star quality.

Lousy ironing board, banquet chair as working table chair, no sofa, no standing / floor lamp, cheap thin hotel slipper, dirty bedside lamp shade, small gym, serves margerin (buttercup is not a real butter) in breakfast buffet) 👎👎👎
I really dont like your hotel only provide the local tv channel.. even not a smart tv.. as a 4star hotel, you should have international channel for customer..
They give us RM50 voucher daily, but this can only be used if we charge to the room, and it cannot be used for in-room dinning.

It was a meaningful and satisfying stay for my family, creating wonderful memories we will always cherish and hope to experience again.
Complimentery supper (simple but nice gesture). Have never been to another hotel that offers supper. Keep up the good work Weil!!
Just an older house, everything was fine so far, although partly with a bit more noticeable signs of wear

The "wet room" shower/tub combo area is simply dangerous and ensures that the room always smells musty.
Very nice hotel with good quality amenities in a great location connected to Ipoh Parade
For me price is not a problem as long as we receive the best experience.

Great facilities, comfortable room and professional staff, good location right next to large mall
Again we have to thank Mr Alex many regards will see you again.
My third time staying at WEIL Hotel - still good like previous trips.

This was my second visit, but unfortunately it will be my last.
The price is on the high side at this small town
A very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend to friends.

Penang/KL level of pricing but not KL/Penang level of quality.
Definitely will come back again in the near future.
An excellent hotel with a convenient city centre location.

Large and equipped room, spacious bathroom with amenities.
Shower was great and had no plumbing issue.
Good. Will come again if going Ipoh.

Nothing to shout about at Weil stay.
The night room service is delicious.
I'll stay somewhere else next time.

The pool area is very quiet.
Everything was great during our stay.
Loved everything about this property.

The fact they use Haarn
Overall,it was a good stay.
Comfortable, Clean and Good Location

Rooms: What guests say
View WEIL Hotel Ipoh540 relevant reviews
Rooms were repeatedly described as spacious, clean, quiet, comfortable, and well equipped, with highly praised beds, bathrooms, bathtubs, air conditioning, filtered drinking-water taps, replenished refreshments, and quality toiletries. Recurring drawbacks included unpleasant, unclean hallway carpeting, occasional outdated design, limited storage, small windows, hard mattresses, bathtub slip risks, and isolated maintenance or noise issues.

It's nice to have extra bath towels and hand towel, the ginger smell hand soap is pleasant too, the three bottles of body wash, hair shampoo and conditioner smells nice too, not dry to the skin.
I was given the farthest room and it is quite an inconvenience as I traveled with my elderly parent (75 yo father)- something I should consider requesting prior to my check in.
It's definitely superb for young couples or married couples kind of hotel, not for the singles that shares a room coz of the LARGE look through Glass Bath wall.

Also I noticed the rim around the tub sink hole was quite dirty but housekeeping cleaned it immediately when I requested for that to be cleaned.
The very dark room (tiny window), yet reserved 6 months earlier specifying the wish for a room with a view on a high floor.
We requested for extra room pillows and was told it was RM5 per pillow to which we agreed but the pillows never arrived.

The room that was booked for me, good impression upon entering, walkway to the hotel level n to the level is clean.
The guest next door was quite noisy at night, which disturbed our sleep as my husband and I are light sleepers.
Even at the minimum, the aircon was not cooling down the room and it was rather hot in the room.

However it was a good stay and we will definitely choose Weil Hotel again when we visit Ipoh again.
My boys like the bathroom because the bathtub is very nice and l like the body wash and shampoo.
For a 5 star hotel, I’d expect more toiletries provided in the room instead of asking for it.

It is very comfortable, great bed linen and probably the best pillows we've experienced in many hotel stays.
We were on the comfort floor so we had access to a lounge for drinks and snacks.
The toilet is clean and the bath tub is the main reason why i book the room.

Room itself was clean and well maintained, a good size and a nice view of the city.
Room was comfortable with good amenities- the filtered water source and effort for sustainability was appreciated.
Love the best is the nice fragrance in the room, cupboard and shower gel and shampoo.

Rooms are not well sound proofed and we were kept awake by the noisy neighbours.
It is the only thing that’s stopping me from coming back to this hotel again.
The room was quite okay but the furniture was a bit outdated and worn out,

Room furniture is old , room slipper so thin and cannot slip in it .
I have space to iron my dress and store my luggage at a corner.
The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was well-maintained.

My room was at the corner and very noisy with the sound of Aircond.
I had to use the shower head to spray water to flush out remnant soap and hair from the corner and it’s not a good experience as the amount of remnant soap that was stuck at the corner washed out and coated the whole shower floor with sticky and oily slick.
The major big + is the Huge Glass window that have enough sunlight for the room and the night view, the downside is when outside is having thunderstorm and very Windy, the glass panels will have creaking sounds from time to time randomly.

I don’t like that it is not soundproof as mentioned in the description and i had expected the room attendant to change my sheets because we ate cake and make a little bit of a mess on the sheets but they didn’t.
For the price I paid, also the fact that this is a 5 star hotel, I hardly slept at all cos the room we stayed in, had loud pipes banging sound just above the ceiling at the entrance of the room door.
Misses was our room's vertical blinds in the windows (that had come off-track so we could not enjoy the views), lack of wardrobe space and no small dining table for in-room meals, though the room definitely has space for it.

Location: What guests say

Location is repeatedly praised for direct access to Ipoh Parade mall, with abundant shopping, dining, food-hall and services. The hotel is central and convenient for transport, old town, night markets, KTM and airport. However, some guests found the neighborhood unattractive or isolated, with damaged sidewalks, heavy traffic and limited walkability, making taxis useful.

Maybe we went to the wrong areas or were there on the wrong night but couldn't see that Ipoh had anything going for it other than a decent halfway point between KL and Langkawi
The hotel is well located and allows for easy movement, with the help of taxis or Grab, to the wonderful rock temples in the area.
We were happy that there is a convenient store therein like Watsons which we could purchase what is required for emergency needs.

Close enough to walk to the old town but due to the heat we got a taxi, only 5 ringgits.
There’s not much around the hotel and the walk into town is a bit dicey along a main road.
Good location, near to the airport and there is a mall besides the hotel which is an advantage.

- We have been located at the concept floor, which has the chance to visit the concept lounge.
A little isolated from town it was a fair way to walk to reach the town/city centre.
It was very nice place, and connected to the mall makes it convenient to find food.

It is directly connected to a shopping mall and has a supermarket, which is convenient.
A very convenience to the shopping area by walking distance to the mall; Ipoh Parade
Being next to the mall also meant convenience in terms of food and groceries.

Getting to Weil was easy, as I have stayed at this hotel many times.
We loved the location which is next to a mall which is handy.
It is located in the new town but very close by taxi.

There is a direct access to the nearby shopping mall, Ipoh Parade.
The location is good as it is linked to the shopping mall
Restful stay with every convenience close to the heart of Ipoh.

Great location with the convenience with mall just attached to it
It is accessible to restaurants, eateries, historical places and shopping areas.
The location & is next to a large shopping centre

I enjoyed the stay n will return if visiting Ipoh
In the heart of city area, many local shopping nearby.
The interior design, cleanliness and comfort, location is very convenient.

Connected to the mall, which is open until 10pm.
The hotel is very conveniently located next to a mall (there is a corridor in the hotel that links directly to the mall without needing to head out the hotel - great when weather is poorly outdoors).
I was looking for a hotel near the old town, it was advertised as being 4 minutes from Concubine St, where as it is a not particularly pleasant 25 minute walk from there.

Unfortunately, the hotel is very remote; it is 2 km to the old town, but fortunately, we have the GRAB app and quickly reached the tourist information for the equivalent of two euros.
The property is right next to Ipoh Parade (very useful and convenient) and within easy walking distance to the “Dessert Street” where one can find dinner among the many stores there.
The hotel only standout feature is its strategic location, with direct access to Ipoh Parade and being centrally situated in the city, making it convenient for getting around.

Breakfast: What guests say
View WEIL Hotel Ipoh370 relevant reviews
Breakfast is frequently praised for its extensive, tasty variety across Chinese, Malaysian, Japanese, Western, and local Ipoh dishes, with some calling it a highlight. However, the restaurant is often overcrowded, with long queues and insufficient seating. Recurring criticisms include repetitive menus, average or dry food, and limited Western, sweet, fruit, and cheese options.

My son was 5 year old and v had to pay rm28 for his buffet on the second day, he hardly ate anything...I think it's a waste, need to pay for very young children. Pls improve on this .tq
We had to get up early each morning to obtain all that we enjoyed as fruit, some hot food and other food items were in short supply later.
Queue for breakfast buffet access was so huge, I returned to my room and ordered room service which arrived quickly and was very good.

Of course the fact that Ipoh is a food haven and there is plenty of good food out there didn't help.
Having some of the hot food served openly outside was not a great idea with the heat and humidity.
Bf spread is v good but I did wish I could opt out to go for local bf.

The highlight was definitely the breakfast buffet with a great variety of local Malaysian and Western options.
2nd day ,another staff inform me children need to pay and charge me 2 children bill.
The breakfast was nice with a very good selection of European, Asian and healthy juices/fruits.

For the price of the room the breakfast choices were just normal nothing fancy.
The breakfast was the same for 3 days - good to have some variety.
One would have thought that the hotel would step up in this department.

No one told us until the last breakfast after we almost finished.
The breakfast buffet is outstanding with great western and traditional options available.
The queue for breakfast can get long because of the limited space.

Too busy, and sometimes a long wait to get a table.
Breakfast is ok but not much variation since few years ago.
Buffet breakfast had a good selection and variety of food.

Breakfast is OK, but good to have some changes daily.
Crowded breakfast area-go early to beat the queue for breakfast.
The stay includes buffet breakfast and even supper too

But breakfast was poor - less than average taste.
During one breakfast the porridge wasn't warm enough.
Having said that, it wasn't very exciting anyway.

The breakfast buffet was amazing as well.
The staffs show us a place with only Bench Chair; and she said fit for 6 person; I insist on the 10 seats table with High back chair; the staff come; the supervisor come; and the manager come.....what is the problem....I just want a peaceful breakfast; it is really spoiled my mood.....
The morning breakfast of my 2 day stay the variety was the same, the staff did not have courtesy to informed us that they were about to clean up for breakfast and they should at least do the last call for breakfast.

The morning breakfast of my 2 day stay the variety was the same, the staff did not have courtesy to informed us that they were about to clean up for breakfast and they should at least do the last call for breakfast.
Hygiene/COVID prevention were apparently very low on the hotel's priority list: while guests were made to use plastic gloves at the buffet, mask wearing was not enforced, and we watched several people cough their way around (and over) the breakfast buffet.
We often book club rooms to have breakfast peacefully in the lounge without crowds, have tea and cookies in the afternoon, and enjoy small snacks and complimentary beer, wine, cocktails, and long drinks in the late afternoon/evening.

Staff: What guests say
View WEIL Hotel Ipoh312 relevant reviews
Staff feedback is mostly positive: guests repeatedly describe teams across reception, housekeeping, security, breakfast, and concierge as friendly, helpful, warm, and efficient, with frequent praise for luggage assistance and personalized service. However, service is inconsistent: some report unwelcoming or unhelpful reception, slow issue resolution, a room-assignment error without apology, and housekeeping not completing tasks.

All staff from those who cleaned the rooms, to the reception, the doorman and staff at the restaurant went out of the way to assist (helping to resolve a parking problem, storing our luggage, finding a suitable table for our party of 5, delaying the cleaning of our rooms at our request).
The attitude of the staff need to be improved or more training needed! no smile when dealing with customer and sometime it really spoil the guest mood. not really helpful as well.
Lucky the manager saw us and told us to get seat while my husband wait for her to void and print out receipt for him to sign.

Front office team was friendly and kind as they managed to keep everyone on the same floor even they are running full house
The service level was also disappointing—staff were not as friendly or attentive as you would expect from a 5-star hotel establishment.
Even though there are several staff members, they don't take any action when they see customers lined up at check-in.

Surprised at the lack of proper filing system and digital data retention for a 5-star hotel like Weil.
Ashwin from the Roof Bar is a star - he was not only efficient but welcoming and attentive.
Kudos to the security for always opening the door and helping us out with the luggage.

Also the staff are not friendly… got different information between the receptionist and the banquet staff
Staff attitude.. i was requesting for sunny side up during breakfast at the egg station.
The hospitality of the staff did not match the high image of the hotel.

Manoah knows/recognises his hotel guests making it extremely easy to communicate with him.
The young female chinese chef asked me to take the fried eggs instead.
Staff at concierge desk n coffee house were very friendly and helpful.

Excellent staff especially front of house and doormen, also housekeeping were brilliant!
He explained everything in great details with warm smile and hospitality.
Casper was very accommodating while Haresan was knowledgeable of the area.

After a series of arguments, i asked for a refund.
The front desk does not provide local map for visitors.
The staff was all professional, friendly, helpful and happy.

This is very unusual for this level of hotel.
Front desk staff never smiled and were unwelcoming
I did voice my displeasure at the situation.

Satis(check In counter) was very helpful, very efficient.
Had an interesting conversation with the housekeeping staff when I called to ask for some wine glasses - he told me they were very busy and would likely take a very long time to send them up .. I had to ask if it would be more than half hour and he said yes. However, the glasses came up shortly afterwards. Guess it was to manage our expectations.
In addition, I remember checking the box where I wanted to request for invoice upon check out during the booking process, but the staff mentioned, that I need to request from Booking.com, and the staff basically did not issue any invoice or receipt to me.

The staffs show us a place with only Bench Chair; and she said fit for 6 person; I insist on the 10 seats table with High back chair; the staff come; the supervisor come; and the manager come.....what is the problem....
The hotel gave us a lot of trouble with getting a refund for the already paid days... it felt like they cheated us and forcing us to stay despite the price is significantly higher than other hotels in Ipoh.
Regrettably, the front desk manager, Satiskumar (whose name I specifically requested), displayed a poor attitude and arrogantly directed me to drive up the ramp despite the chaos, which could easily have led to an hour-long delay.

Facilities: What guests say
View WEIL Hotel Ipoh186 relevant reviews
Strong facilities include direct access to a large shopping mall, restaurants, rooftop infinity pool, gym, breakfast, free parking, and late-night porridge and soy milk. Recurring drawbacks are slow lifts, crowds, inconsistent Wi-Fi, occasional housekeeping delays, aging or poorly maintained equipment, slippery bathrooms, and limited rooftop or gym availability.

I don’t understand why you all locked the ground floor toilet, i was travelled by driving and was urgently need to go toilet for pee and only found out it was locked and i have to ask the restaurant worker to open for me, worse case is, it was afternoon, and nobody there and i have to walk to ipoh parade to find a toilet.
Unfortunately, things got worse from then on because the following morning, the water was coming out brown with sediments which appear to be a whole hotel issue due to some pipework being done nearby by the water authorities.
It would be nice if the hotel will have a lounge or quiet area for reading or meetings at the lobby or 1st floor for guests to relax or enjoy a drink or cocktail.

The main lobby had seats, but it is on a platform which you need to take a couple of steps to get to, it’s not convenient if you have someone who has accessibility needs.
The hotel bar is closed on Sundays, but even when it is open, it is quite 'sad': I particularly advise against ordering alcoholic cocktails because they are not able to prepare them properly.
Things are getting old and probably some maintenance work is needed; safe does not seem to be working and I do not feel safe leaving my things in the safe.

The filtered water tap in the bathroom was a God send with the water issue (explained in the section below) I experienced for 50% of my stay.
Furniture arrangement at lobby waiting area next to restaurant needs to be improved, very narrow circular space and it is tough to get in & out.
The rooftop bar could be better as when we went up, we could not really explore due to staff setting up tables and chairs.

Ive requested a simple deco dor our anniversary and the provide it for free with a slice of cake balloons some swan towel.
The hotel rents out event rooms, and on our last day, there was a very loud party in one of those rooms.
U have to go through the shopping mall car park and continue till you see the designated hotel car park area.

The hotel is large and gets very busy when waves of people check in/out or go down for breakfast.
I was impressed by the cleanliness of the hotel, which was maintained to a high standard throughout my stay.
The food had run out just before 6pm, no clean wine glasses and quality of wine was poor.

The building and the facilities always well-maintained would make the hotel's reputation keeping a high level.
Basin water tap - just a bit touch the water flow is large. Water wasting.
Upgraded to floor 12 with free buffet in the evening and drinks till 11pm

The air conditioning even when set at a low speed was quite loud.
The pool was of a good size but the cleanliness can be improved.
The hotel has access to the parking deck of the parking garage.

The bathroom door is very heavy and difficult to open and close.
Some of the facilities were closed, including the roof top garden.
The safety box or the shower facility must be well-maintained.

I also like that it has a coworking space.
Free parking, EV charging, friendly staff, good hygiene overall.
Doesn't feel luxurious for price paid, unlike hotel chains.

The bar was a bit dark and cold.
Amenities is complete with swimming pool, and gym.
These faults were reported to the duty manager.

Pool: What guests say
View WEIL Hotel Ipoh132 relevant reviews
The rooftop infinity pool is repeatedly praised for its city and sunset views, cleanliness, relaxing atmosphere, late hours, and adjacent bar. However, it is small, has limited or worn loungers, little shade, and occasional cleanliness concerns. Several guests were disappointed by unannounced renovation closures, while others reported cold water and delayed opening or towel service.

The ladders leading into the pool were wobbly and some stairs were missing the rubber gripping. This should be addressed to reduce the chance of slipping, especially since there are no other steps into the pool
The highlight was the rooftop restaurant by the pool - we didn't go swimming, but in the evening you could sit there beautifully, look over the city, and enjoy a cold beer or cocktails
The pool is associated with a bar on the terrace, and the music was far too loud, especially since the people who frequent it have their own music playing from their phones.

I arrived at the pool on two days of my stay at 7:15am and there is still no staff at the pool to provide towels.
When I requested for additional towels as I knew the pool will not open on time, the guest services wanted to charge me RM10.
I explained my situation and she still insisted on the charge so I did not get more towels which I needed for my swim.

During our stay we didn’t use the rooftop swimming pool as it seemd to be mainly occupied by youths playing ball games.
Not enough space for us to go swim and didn't feel comfortable getting into the pool with so many people during evening.
...and this is also thanks to an infinity pool with a very well-equipped lounge area overlooking a quality rooftop bar service.

The roof top pool has amazing views, pool is a nice temperature perfect for cooling off after a days touring.
Rooftop pool was great, would be even better if the bar opened for snacks and drinks at lunch time.
That nobody felt an obligation to inform me and two associates that they had no pool due to renovation.

No pool available and I booked this hotel specifically for it as it’s on the roof with a view.
We used the rooftop swimming pool which was good fun and offered a great view of the city.
The path from the elevator to the pool could be designed to be a bit more appealing.

The pool was clean, relaxing, and well maintained, making it perfect for both adults and families.
Special thing is the Pool and Bar on Top of hotel with view over Ipoh.
Nice pool with an appealing outdoor area (seating, dining options, and drink service)

Easy access to a great swimming pool on the top with bar service.
The pool water is cool in spite of the weather, well done.
The rooftop pool area has wonderful views, great to watch the sunset.

Pool felt less privacy with Access to staffs & bar visitors
Kindly please provide swimming pool special for kids with playground.
There’s also a rooftop bar next to the pool.

We booked without knowing swimming pool is not available.
Very disappointed with the services at the pool.
Pool area was very nice and relaxing.

Great pool and view from the roof.
The swimming pool was very good.
Very nice for swimming and relaxing.

Check-in / Check-out: What guests say
View WEIL Hotel Ipoh112 relevant reviews
Check-in and checkout are often described as fast and smooth, with helpful staff, early check-in, upgrades, luggage storage, and flexible extensions. However, recurring complaints include long queues, 40-minute or later check-ins because rooms were unavailable, lengthy checkout, unclear or duplicated deposits, room-type mismatches, key-card problems, and late notice of power maintenance.

The check in receptionist or the check in counter; they are so slow.....I booked 3 rooms; there was no other customer at the counter; He passed to her; the she passed to another him.....the process took 15 min.....either the check in system is not up to date; or the staffs are slow.....just imagine; if a bus arrive for check in; I bet 1 hour more for check in.....
The room for me was supposed to be ready earlier, but your staff kept insisting not ready, customer late check out, room service not done, and intended to “upgrade” my stay to a better and more expensive room than mine, the brewster room which is the summer bliss which actually priced the same and nothing much difference.
On 2nd day, she ignored one of our guest request to replace key card as it was not working, she just continued to look at her computer and did not even look up to acknowledge the person in front of her.

The check in is at 15, no matter if the room is already prepared, so be ready to wait in line for some time, or do the formalities as soon as arrive and later just collect the key at concierge.
Upon check in, your staff has shown lack of competency, unable to provide excellent service, slow in response and need me, as the customer to teach back your own staff on how to speed up my check in.
On my first time, I had to get off again with my luggage when I discovered my card key could not give me access to my room floor despite a fellow guest trying to help me out.

When asked to print out a tax invoice receipt, staff said not able to because I paid online, so the receipt I need to ask the booking.com to issue me the receipt what on earth is that?
When we asked if there was anywhere else in the hotel where we could get a drink and a beer we were then directed to the restaurant, where we were informed they don’t sell alcohol.
I dont expect super sympathy from anyone but at least ask the bellboy to help with my 6 pieces of luggage while i rush to the pharmacy before i faint from an emergency reaction geeze.

- After checked out & validated the carpark, cannot stay any longer even if I want to take a quick lunch at the hotel or the mall, because the parking ticket will be in 15-min.
They need to do something about how They Handle guest upon check in And check out, coz its seem likes they dont hv enough staff to Handle it even this not weekend but on weekdays
Next morning, when I was checking out, I told the Indian girl reception ..... you all have to close this room and get maintainance to check the pipe banging sound.

On top of that, upon check out, wanted to hand me back one key card that belongs to your hotel, saying that the card doesn’t belong to the hotel.
I don't believe reception desk staff requested that I place a MYR 250 as deposit even though I wanted to make full payment upon check-in.
We were advised by the concierge to go to the roof top bar where we could get a cool drink in comfortable surroundings.

The reception was also very accommodating to allow us extra time for check out in relation to our 3 rooms.
We dragged our luggage back to reception, who merely gave us another room without any apology at all.
I booked and paid for a king size bed premier room but was told it’s fully taken.

Both time i had experienced trouble to access out when i inserted the validated parking coupon.
So the luggage was brought in on a trolley and we went off for lunch.
The reception just said ..... oh sorry then proceeded to do my check out.

Before we ask they already give us 2 keys, wifi and connecting rooms.
I reported this to reception so hopefully they have investigated and cleaned up.
The help button was not clear due to the loud blower noise.

Hotel long queue at reception and too slow process checking in.
Stay only if the hotel can guranteed check by 3 pm
Took her a few minutes to understand what I mean.

My room key is not function after did my check-in.
Exceptional rating, from the first check in till check out.
Excuse given was that our room is not ready.

Parking: What guests say
View WEIL Hotel Ipoh64 relevant reviews
Complimentary, covered parking is shared with Ipoh Parade Mall, typically on Levels 4–5, with direct hotel access and RM30/day valet parking. Recurring complaints include confusing signage, long peak-hour ramps, limited spaces, repeated ticket validation or unreadable-ticket failures, and dark, worn areas. Sharp or steep exits and speed bumps may trouble larger or lowered cars.

Better read a bit from previous guests' experiences about the parking space to get yourself prepared and smoothen the process (you need to drive up to level 4 and drive to hotel parking which is on your right)- acceptable when you have already expected it.
The parking ticket machines at the 4th level are annoying, I've stayed there for four nights, and I am stucked behind the barrier almost every day because my tickets were not readable, even though I had validated my tickets every time before exiting.
The car parking tickets are quite confusing. We got the first ticket before we started climbing up the ramp. After we reaching the podium, there r two zones and there is another ticket booth to enter the hotel guest zone.

We didn’t even park it at a car parking place just guided by the security to park opposite the lobby at the side of the entrance road but we were still charge for 30 Ringgit.
The hotel shares the car park with the mall, just follow the signs through the mall car park until you reach the designated hotel parking area at Level 4 and 5.
What we do not like is the hotel carpark was closed a few times and we had to get around to the mall carpark to get to level 4 hotel carpark.

The hotel gives free parking to guests which is fantastic, but once the Concierge at the lobby issues the free exit pass, you need to leave the carpark within 15 minutes.
It’s located on the 4th floor of Ipoh Parade, and at peak times, it’s nearly impossible to reach because cars line up along the winding path leading to the 4th floor.
I managed to find a parking space and unload my luggage from the car without having to walk too far to take the elevator down to the hotel lobby.

Parking : quiet okay & a bit hassle when you encounter with invalid/unreadable ticket. you have to park your car, valid it again @ concierge/hotel lobby. Wasting my time.
Carpark at level 4 is a bit hassle because have to ramp up and down every time we went out and have to validate parking ticket.
We were not able to exit the mall carpark with the special ticket issued by the concierge, resulting in us being stuck at the exit.

Parking was a bit inconvenient but we were only there for 2 nights so we left it there until we left, everywhere is walkable
The Car parking has to be better defined so that guest can know where to place their car for ease of unloading the luggages.
There is bump at the top of the ramp that cause our cars to scrape the undercarrige when exiting from B3 to B4.

Also car park walls , at least for the hotel section need to be well painted and not looking like very worn out.
Most disappointing part was the parking area, there's water leaking from the ceiling and most of the area was dusty and wet.
The access to the hotel carpark and Ipoh Parade merge into the same carpark ramp even though they have separate entrances.

We are a bit confuse how to exit from the carpark as the route design not really car-friendly.
Staff at the hotel concierge is also unclear about the parking system and gave us incorrect information.
Parking lots too high up, need to validate parking tickets and change lifts to rooms.

Hotel parking at level 4, taking longer time to go up to level 4.
Require to make a few adjustments before can exit the car park.
Limited car park lots especially it clash with an event/ function

The assist button on the ticket machine is totally not function.
Also your parking on level b5 is dirty and unsafe.
During peak hours, quite difficult to get a parking.

One card for one floor and not friendly parking
Parking is a dizzying spiral up and down.
Must wait for sometime for a lot.

The Chinese restaurant is repeatedly praised for delicious Cantonese dishes, especially duck, with friendly staff. Guests also highlight rooftop views, quality food, generous breakfasts, and complimentary late-night supper. Recurring concerns include inconsistent restaurant opening hours, unavailable advertised dim sum, slow service, lukewarm buffet food, limited alcohol, and an occasionally empty or poorly managed dining atmosphere.

I popped in to the mall next to Weil, headed straight for a non-descript eating joint with a hole-in-the-wall ambience, and had what still feels like the best Assam Laksa I have ever had.
The highlight was the rooftop restaurant by the pool - we didn't go swimming, but in the evening you could sit there beautifully, look over the city, and enjoy a cold beer or cocktails
Many would just opt to eat out and I would suggest you to do so, unless u are like me and was just too exhausted from working the entire day.

Glad that I decided to try their Chinese restaurant after hearing positive review about their food (staff there is friendly and food eg Duck and Fried Rice are good)
There is also no staff. Just briefly serving food, placing drinks, and eventually someone comes and takes the beer from the cabinet and the wine, and that's it.
My wife had food poisoning for most of her trip because she ate the salad in the restaurant buffet which was probably washed with the contaminated water.

In room dining food was acceptable (I ordered mainly from the Asian cuisine menu) and hotel food charges were reasonable for hotel rates.
The Chinese restaurant, Yuk Sou Hin, is also worth visiting as their food is delicious and the staff are friendly and helpful.
Only downside is hotel Chinese restaurant said they stopped serving dim sum 6 years ago, but this is still advertised as available.

Was looking forward to the Gastrobar, which was indicated to open at 4pm - 1pm, but was told it opens at 6pm.
In the evening at 11pm, guests gathered to enjoy a free supper of porridge, green bean soup and soya bean milk.
Other than that, was also disappointed with the Chinese restaurant, which promoted it had dim sum, but it didn’t have any.

The Lounge was poor with minimal snacks, warm beer topped up in fridge only after happy hour disgusting wine, no cocktails.
Also dined at the rooftop top bar overlooking ipoh, great food and drinks and spectacular views of ipoh at night.
Dissapointed and surprised that the Chinese restaurant (supposedly quite well known) located in the Hotel is not open on Tuesday.

If you want to eat well, though, I suggest trying the Chinese restaurant inside the hotel: it is really excellent.
The alcoholic beverages offered were just beer, white wine, and red wine, though you couldn't really call the wine wine.
I ate in the chinese restaurant in the hotel for dinner - delicious, great selection of dishes, especially the duck!

No beer or wine available unless a bottle bought in the Chinese restaurant and then only one wine option.
There is a good reason no one uses their restaurant but I do not think they can grasp it.
Another time we used the bar we wanted to order some food but was told the kitchen was closed.

There was only one bar which wasn't open on a Sunday when we wanted a drink to relax.
The Cantonese restaurant served very good dishes and their smoked duck with lychee was superb!
In the night they also offer on the house supper from 11pm to Midnight.

We had dinner at the Chinese restaurant in the hotel.
Best to go out to a bar like Durbar.
We were the only prople in the restaurant.

Best smoke duck at the hotel Chinese restaurant.
This area under utilised do to the music.
After 40 minutes we had to complain.

Gym: What guests say
View WEIL Hotel Ipoh21 relevant reviews
Gym feedback is predominantly negative: guests describe a small, carpeted meeting room with very limited equipment, too few benches, no mirrors, and sometimes poor maintenance. The room may be uncomfortably cold, though access is free and one guest enjoyed views of the Titiwangsa Range; a few reviews call it well equipped.

Gym facilities is terrible , it is not a proper gym room and located in a seminar room with limited gym set .
The only letdown I would say is the gym which has cardio equipment and some free weights, but no machines for workouts
The 'gym' is a good example since its made up of a few machines in an old meeting room with carpeted floor.

Gym location was weird, on the same floor as function halls, and was at a corner, with not much to offer.
The gymnasium is not very suitable and should not be carpeted except for the limited window space
Another disappointing point is the gym is lacking of equipments that a 5-star hotel should have.

Also, larger towels would be great as well as disinfection spray/liquid to clean up after exercising.
I enjoyed the gym's view especially from the treadmill as it is overseeing the Titiwangsa Range.
It is actually a meeting room converted by putting a few workout benches and machines.

This is probably the first ever hotel gym I ever stayed without a mirror.
The air conditioning is blowing very cold air and the room is extremely cold.
Need a couple more workout benches in the gym, one is not enough.

The hotel has everything to keep guests happy - a well equipped gym.
And to adjust the temperature they told they need help from technicians.
Kind of depressing to say the least in 2026.

The makeshift gym had bad equipments with missing bolts.
Guess how I notice? Not a single mirror inside.
People who frequent gyms know how important mirror is.

The gym could benefit from some yoga/gym mats.
The gym is perfect place to get sick.
I think the gym facilities can be improved.

The gym equipment is very limited.
Gym does not have enough equipment
Nice gym and swimming pool.

The Gym was under Reno.
The gym was uncomfortably small.
Gym available for free.

The gym is ridulous.
Gym is grossly inadequate.
Who is never came.

Transport: What guests say
View WEIL Hotel Ipoh16 relevant reviews
Grab taxis are consistently described as fast, available, and reasonably priced, with attractions 10–15 minutes away and the airport about 15 minutes. The hotel offers no shuttle or managed taxi service, though free parking in the interconnected Ipoh Parade mall is convenient. Morning and afternoon traffic can slow departures, and one valet-parking request was mishandled.

Going anywhere from the hotel was a breeze as Grab taxis were always available, arrived swiftly, and were reasonably priced.
They don’t offer transportation which was very weird for a 5* hotel but we had grab so it was ok!
I said at least help me now but the manager was so arragont and told the staff just say no.

I chose valet which was the best choice as the parking in the mall was not convenient at night.
Taking a cab to places of interest took about 10 to 15 minutes which is pretty fast.
Due to a delayed flight, no train tickets available from KL, the only option was a bus.

Maybe offer paid shuttle service a few times a day to old town and shopping area.
Later when I reached the hotel they said they never got the request from booking.com.
Traffic jam usually in the morning and afternoon, when you go out from the hotel.

With the rental car or Grab you can quickly get to the city center.
I received a message confirming and stating the price for valet parking per day.
I think this hotel is quite popular so have to book early.

When I showed them the message they said its not from them.
Hotel was easy to find and we used the free car parking.
I stated I needed valet parking when I booked on booking.com.

We took a Grab from the bus station to the hotel.
The hotel is located about 15 minutes from the airport.
I asked how did booking.com know ur rate per day.

Furthermore, the establishment does not manage taxi service for customers.
Although no bus, grab is very easy and fast.
Accessibility; the hotel is interconnected to ipoh parade.

But they get booked up really fast.
Sent us to the tourist information center
Parking within ipoh parade and its FREE.

Never got an answer.
Lousy management team really.
