An Ocean-Inspired Destination on Palm Jumeirah’s Outer Crescent
A landmark resort built around marine leisure
The property is conceived as an integrated destination rather than a conventional city hotel, combining ocean-inspired interiors with beach, pools, dining, nightlife programming, Aquaventure links and aquarium-related facilities. Its architectural presence on Palm Jumeirah’s outer crescent defines the resort’s identity.
Redesigned spaces across East and West Towers
Accommodation is distributed between East and West Towers, with contemporary finishes and a redesign programme shaping the current interiors. The large-scale layout supports the resort’s combination of marine-themed accommodation, entertainment and waterfront recreation.
Underwater Suites and Family Accommodation Across Two Towers
Underwater Suites with marine-life views
The signature Underwater Suites are defined by views into marine life, creating an accommodation setting directly connected to the resort’s aquatic identity. Suite guests receive complimentary access to the resort’s beach and pools.
Family rooms and connecting-room possibilities
The accommodation mix includes family-oriented rooms, with connecting-room possibilities referenced in hotel-selling channels. Some room categories also provide patios or terraces, extending the private accommodation space outdoors.
A Palm Jumeirah Dining Collection from Lebanon to Japan
A wide-ranging restaurant and bar portfolio
Named venues include Saffron, Hakkasan, Shawafel, Bread Street Kitchen & Bar, Seafire Steakhouse and Bar, Asia Republic, White Beach, Nobu, The Burger Joint, The Shore, The Edge, Ossiano, Kaleidoscope, Wavehouse Restaurant & Bar and Ayamna. The property is also listed with additional bars or lounges and a coffee shop or café, depending on venue classification.
Lebanese, vegan and marine-themed dining concepts
Ayamna serves Lebanese cuisine, while The Edge offers a vegan menu. Ossiano and Nobu provide distinctive special-occasion dining settings within the resort’s broader collection of restaurants, bars and event-linked dining experiences.
Private Beach Zones, Family Pools and Sunset Hours
Multiple pool formats for different uses
The resort is consistently described as having two main outdoor pools and a children’s pool. Current listings also identify a zero-entry pool and an infinity pool, creating separate formats for family use, general swimming and scenic leisure.
Palm Pool, Family Pool and private beach areas
Published pool-and-beach zones include Palm Pool, Family Pool, Palm Beach and IC Private Beach. The resort provides private beach access and private cabanas through its Pool & Beach experience, extending the outdoor programme beyond the pools.
Daily swimming from morning until sunset
The resort’s pools are open daily from 8:00am until sunset. The combination of pool zones, beach access, cabanas and waterpark-linked recreation makes the outdoor offering a central part of the property’s destination format.
AWAKEN Spa, Early Fitness and Full-Day Recreation
Treatments, hydrotherapy and thermal facilities
AWAKEN Spa operates from 9:00am to 9:00pm and provides massage, body treatments, facials, hydrotherapy, manicures and pedicures, sauna, steam-room access and hot tub or Jacuzzi facilities.
Fitness Center open from early morning
The Fitness Center operates from 6:00am to 9:00pm, providing an extended daily window for training alongside the resort’s treatment, hydrotherapy and relaxation facilities.
Bowling, snorkeling and children’s leisure spaces
Beyond wellness, the resort provides a bowling alley, snorkeling, a game room, a playground, a children’s pool and free waterpark access. Babysitting is available for a surcharge, adding a practical family service to the leisure infrastructure.
Palm Jumeirah’s Secluded Crescent and Dubai Waterfront Reach
A resort setting on Dubai’s man-made island district
The property is located on Palm Jumeirah, one of Dubai’s best-known man-made island districts, and sits on the outer crescent rather than within a dense urban block. The setting provides sea views, beach access and a controlled resort environment.
Separated from the city core but connected by road
The outer-crescent location creates a sense of separation from central Dubai while keeping the city’s major destinations reachable by road. The resort is part of Palm Jumeirah’s broader leisure landscape of waterfront hotels, dining, shopping and resort infrastructure.

We analysed 20,000 reviews and found 5,682 containing specific, useful feedback about Atlantis, The Palm. The feedback is organised by topic so you can quickly see what guests say about the property.
Overall: What guests say
3,255 relevant reviewsReviews overwhelmingly describe Atlantis The Palm as a beautiful, exceptionally clean and well-maintained luxury resort with friendly, attentive service, comfortable rooms, varied food, and strong family facilities. Complimentary access to Aquaventure and the aquarium is repeatedly praised. Recurring drawbacks are high prices, occasional crowding, the immense size, and its relatively older age.
See the evidence
The staff, the room, the meals, the cleanliness, and of course the access to the park and the aquarium: everything was perfect.
The service was exceptional, the rooms were spotless, and access to the waterpark and aquarium was fantastic.
Iconic hotel with over-the-top prices
Experience hotel but there is room for improvement regarding crowding.See all reviews about overall
Staff: What guests say
3,087 relevant reviewsStaff are overwhelmingly praised as friendly, attentive, professional, and exceptionally helpful across reception, housekeeping, restaurants, concierge, and facilities. Guests repeatedly mention thoughtful details, fast responses, and personal recognition. However, some report inconsistent service, insufficient training, waterpark and call-center shortcomings, long waits, and isolated serious handling failures.
See the evidence
and above all the staff, wonderful treatment in every aspect, from those who clean the rooms and the details they have, the suede for the glasses... all the staff who greet you at the exit of the elevators in the lobby, the attention and professionalism in the breakfast area, at happy sunset, by the pool, the detail of the ice creams... Each and every one of them made us feel incredibly well, thank you very much.
Excellent housekeeping staff, cleaned and organized our rooms three times a day.
Some staff were nice and some were not, especially the ones from the waterpark.
Service from the staff. The employee who attended us at the check-in reception was quite inattentive. We had to ask for our service after more than 40 minutes of waiting.See all reviews about staff
Rooms: What guests say
2,130 relevant reviewsRooms are repeatedly described as spacious, clean, comfortable, and well serviced, often with excellent sea, pool, or Palm views; housekeeping may visit twice daily. Recurring drawbacks include poor soundproofing, occasional mould or sewage smells, uncomfortable or undersized beds, outdated televisions and bathrooms, and reported hot-water or air-conditioning failures.
See the evidence
Our room was spacious, spotless, beautifully presented and equipped with everything we needed.
Lack of proper room insulation, very noisy, woke up in the early mornings when doors in the next rooms opened and closed, it sounded like my door was being opened
The rooms are outdated, the bathroom is combined with the toilet, and after taking a shower, water accumulates all over the toilet area, making it inconvenient and unsafe (slippery).
At 1:48 AM in the middle of the night, our air conditioner malfunctioned, forcing us to pack all our belongings and relocate with young children.See all reviews about rooms
Facilities: What guests say
1,769 relevant reviewsAquaventure Waterpark, The Lost Chambers Aquarium, pools, private beach, and family activities are repeatedly praised, with clean, well-maintained facilities and easy access. However, renovations and closures affected pools, beach areas, restaurants, and other amenities; guests also reported limited evening dining, inconsistent opening-time information, paid aquapark lockers, and aging décor.
See the evidence
The water park was also amazing, with great facilities and lots of fun for both kids and adults.
Access to the sea, the aquarium that the children loved, the water park—it's all there.
Booking never mentioned that the hotel was under renovation. Half of the services couldn't be used.
Dining experiences were very limited in the evening at the resort.See all reviews about facilities
Restaurant: What guests say
1,192 relevant reviewsReviews repeatedly praise the food’s taste, variety, vegetarian options, and standout restaurants such as Nobu, Gordon Ramsay, En Fuego, and Wavehouse. Recurring drawbacks include very high restaurant and beverage prices, restaurants closing early or being unavailable without notice, limited dining choices, overcrowded buffets, long queues, and inconsistent service or quality.
See the evidence
The food is delicious and varied.
The food is extremely expensive for no reason, and the alcoholic drinks were unfortunately terrible in all the restaurants except the Arabian terrace.
The only complaint we have is that being that this was considered “off season” the hotels restaurants were not all open and the ones that were open would close early at 830pm, however the hotel was fully booked.
the dinner buffet's service was extremely inefficient; it was embarrasing to stand in long queues waiting for the food to be made available, that after we had made a reservation in advance.See all reviews about restaurant
Breakfast: What guests say
1,361 relevant reviewsBreakfast is repeatedly praised for exceptional variety, freshness, abundance, and quality, with standout touches including fresh juices, champagne, cocktails, dim sum, eggs, and salmon. However, Saffron can be severely crowded, with queues of 10–30 minutes, difficult seating, and slow omelet or coffee service. Breakfast is also considered expensive when not included.
See the evidence
I have never had a better breakfast. It was absolutely perfect!!!
A special mention goes to the breakfast — the selection is excellent, and the champagne adds a lovely touch of luxury.
Breakfast buffet in any of the restaurants from 9am is chaotic, often 20 to 30 in the queue to get a table.
It was not comfortable to wait 30 minutes just to order an omelet... Instead, they could change the omelet ordering system to allow for table orders...See all reviews about breakfast
Check-in / Check-out: What guests say
861 relevant reviewsThe most repeated issue is very slow, crowded check-in and check-out, often taking 30–120 minutes and attributed to understaffing or a slow system. Some rooms were not ready until 4–5 PM. Guests also reported delayed deposits and luggage, while individual staff sometimes provided helpful upgrades, early check-in, or clear assistance.
See the evidence
Check in and check out were ridiculously long.
You need to queue up for 30 min standing at the checkin like at the airport in economy class.
Given the cost of this stay I expect to be able to check in at 3pm and have both rooms ready, in our case we gave them an additional hour and they are still not ready.
I had an issue with them not returning the deposit they deducted at check in. It took them 3 weeks to respond to my email, with issue not fully resolved.See all reviews about check-in / check-out
Location: What guests say
1,110 relevant reviewsThe Palm Jumeirah location is repeatedly praised for its striking views, private beach, aquarium, Aquaventure water park, and family-friendly activities. However, the resort feels isolated, often requiring taxis, with high prices and limited nearby venues. Guests also reported crowding, facility closures, muddy or restricted beach areas, construction, helicopters, and late-night traffic noise.
See the evidence
Atlantis is always wonderful with the family, having pools, restaurants and the water park so close together
Because the hotel is located at the top of Palm Island, you need a taxi for almost everywhere.
The park is just vast, and you need to know how to navigate it and take transportation between areas
Hotel suffers badly from noise pollution building works across from beach helicopter rides every 5-10 minutes landing and taking off and from midnight it’s like formula one race with Ferraris and Lamborghinis racing up and down road until 3am.See all reviews about location
Pool: What guests say
1,091 relevant reviewsFree access to the huge Aquaventure waterpark and aquarium is a major family draw, with varied attractions. However, repeated reports mention pools and slides closed for maintenance, sometimes the main pool or most pools, causing crowding and long queues. Guests also note limited shade, late opening, cold or dirty water, and early closures.
See the evidence
The water park is amazing, huge, and suitable for all ages, with an enormous variety of facilities, restaurants, and attractions.
The majority of the pools in the park, as well as many water attractions, were not accessible, which significantly reduced the quality of our experience.
Opening at 9:30am is way too late as it gets too hot and toddler areas have zero shade.
Unfortunately, all the pools were closed except for the family one, which was very crowded.See all reviews about pool
Transport: What guests say
142 relevant reviewsFree buggy and shuttle services to Aquaventure, the beach, Atlantis Royal, and the aquarium are convenient, especially with children, but waits can be long in the heat. The resort is remote, requiring taxis, Uber, or monorail for most outings; traffic and costly or pressured transfers are recurring concerns. Pre-arrival communication and luggage or car retrieval can also be slow.
See the evidence
The transfer from the beach to the park is super convenient and free, the best.
However, we had to wait long time for buggy ride to park and back to hotel.
It’s too far from everything else there is to do in Dubai so you need to catch taxis everywhere.
Along with the booking, I sent a request to the hotel about a transfer. I received a response to the request only after checking in, and the response was that I should order at least 48 hours in advance.See all reviews about transport
Spa: What guests say
47 relevant reviewsSpa access is frequently excluded from the stay and can be expensive, particularly for sauna, jacuzzi, or hammam use; facilities receive mixed reviews, with some calling them spacious and excellent and others finding them small or disappointing. Treatments and massages are often praised, while service, pricing discrepancies, and an unresolved refund are reported.
See the evidence
Spa facilities like sauna and jacuzzi are not included in the hotel booking, you have to pay to use them
very disappointed as they said using the sauna has a 280 dirham charge which is so disappointing for a five stars hotel not to have a sauna
The spa was very nice, the massage impeccable.
I booked and paid for 4 spa visits, then canceled them with one day's notice, unfortunately I have not received a refund to this day.See all reviews about spa
Gym: What guests say
33 relevant reviewsThe gym receives mixed feedback: some guests praise its modern, extensive equipment, views, staff, and aqua aerobics, while others find it small, crowded, and lacking equipment. It closes at 9 PM rather than operating 24/7; sauna, steam-room, and spa access may cost extra, and guests under 18 may be refused entry.
See the evidence
Access to the fitness center, sauna, and steam room required additional charges, which was disappointing for a luxury resort of this level.
Gym is small and very crowded. Not enough equipment even dumbbells.
The gym was great, new machines, so much equipment, lemon water provided.
Had an absolute blast at aqua aerobics today with the main man happy Patrick, the energy was electric and would recommend everyone staying at the Atlantis or visiting to try out an aqua aerobic session was great fun and inviting.See all reviews about gym
Parking: What guests say
21 relevant reviewsFree valet parking is widely praised as professional and convenient, with some guests calling it a highlight. However, the service can be very busy, crowded, and slow, with waits of 20–30 minutes. Cars may sit in the sun, self-parking is unavailable, and isolated reports mention a scratch and a near-flat tire.
See the evidence
The valet parking is terrible 😞, they take 20-30 min to bring your car, and you have to wait in the hot weather with your family until they bring your car
The valet parking service is free and contributes greatly to the experience.
the parking area always crowded.
Valet parking - my car had scratch unfortunately it was noticed only when I reached back home in abudhabi on following day morning.See all reviews about parking
