Jackson kept checking in to ask if we were hungry or thirsty and even helped to bring us food and water while we were walking around greeting guests.

The staff were able to provide a room for us to get changed and showered just before we left for the airport.

Housekeeping didn’t always clean the room but came quickly when requested.

But at carlton i just feel like i was being judged.

The rooms were spotless, spacious, and well-maintained.

The room was spacious, modern, and comfortably equipped.

The room was very damp, especially after showering, you can't air it out, which causes the moisture to build up, the air conditioner smelled bad, so you couldn't run it all the time.

Some areas had mould like black stains, some tiles were out of place, the shower water was inconsistent in temperature making showers an adventure, and there were tiny bugs/spiders coming from the drain in the mornings.

Perfect location next to Chinatown, where the good food courts are and 200 meter to the underground.

The location is great - it is next to shopping malls, food centre, bus stop, MRT, stores and a nice park.

Countless food options within 5mins walking distance, a full laundromat, and the MRT station.

Not the property's fault, but location seemed not well serviced by taxis.

Most importantly the food spread was good and based on Hong Kong food street style with a wide assortment of dim sum, pastries, dessert etc.

The restaurant staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. Empty plates were cleared very quickly.

I'm disappointed with the Chicken Bao, Siew Mai & Prawn dumplings as they are hard like stone and not nice in taste!!

Siting arrangements is too cramp as well.

Loved this hotel for its proximity to downtown sights, cleanliness.

The lobby is bright and airy, rooms are airy and well appointed, with all you could need.

We paid for Club level and it was closed for a conference. No club views which is a big reason we booked this.

The bathrooms are partially renovated; here and there, some work could be done.

Porridge spread had around 10 dishes - braised fatty pork, braised duck, bean curd puff, vegetables, prawn paste chicken, eggs, aside from the usual porridge salted condiments.

Breakfast was cold at times especially scrambled eggs bacon was good but ran out several times and more had to be asked for

Breakfast- and food offering in general - poor selection for vegetarians and the coffee from those terrible machines was awful.

Plus great amenities including swimming pool, gym and the beautiful view from the rooftop bar.

Went for a snack and some drinks at the rooftop bar one night and was disappointed with the quality here too for a ridiculous price - the fries were stale and were inedible.

the gym is very tiny, hot and with very outdated equipment

I couldn’t get the bathtub to hold water because the plug wouldn’t stay closed, and there was a rusty spot.

Booking.com stated that the caution deposit would be SGD 100 and would be refunded after check-out. However, at check-in, the front desk staff insisted on charging SGD 200, even after we showed the Booking.com message.

I was told to wait 30 minutes at check-in, but I was left waiting for an hour. Even though I was right in front of them, I was completely ignored.

We came/checked in 4 hrs early we were charged Sin $130 for immediate access to the room. I though it was excessive as our room rate was already in excess of Sin $300.

What we particularly appreciated was the provision of a room at the end of the day to use the shower before taking our flight.

The pool is not heated, so it is very cold compared to the outside air.

Pool area is not amazing - not lots of space to lie by the pool and loud noise of generator or something

The pool area was a little "tired" and needs someone constantly cleaning away the leaves from the adjacent building.

Pool and poolside food options were excellent and just what was needed after a long flight.

The gym is a storage room where two people training can bump into each other.

Unfortunately, the gym was really small, and equipment is insufficient and outdated, especially for a hotel like Carlton with a gym facility.

We made use of the pool and gym during our stay and they were very clean and well maintained.

For those who just want to use the treadmill or do cardio on indoor cycling - it's sufficient.

The transportation is very convenient, around 2 mins walk to the EW line.

MRT station is just 3 minute walk.

It’s about £15 taxi ride away from the airport / if you use “grab” taxi app, which is asias uber (and very good).

When it’s raining you have to wait for a taxi more than half an hour.
