A Tropical Airport-Resort Concept

Rainforest cues within Terminal 3
Opened in 2008 as Singapore Changi Airport’s flagship airport hotel, the property was conceived as an airport resort combining transit convenience with tropical landscape references. Its public areas continue that identity through natural textures, landscaped spaces and garden-like meeting environments.
Canopies, tree-trunk walls and oval rooms
The rainforest design language extends into the event areas through twinkling canopy effects, sun-dappled carpeting, tree-trunk walls and oval-shaped function rooms. The ballroom is described as rainforest-themed, while six additional function rooms use nature-inspired detailing.
575 Rooms with Club-Lounge Access

A substantial airport accommodation base
The hotel has 575 guest rooms and is positioned as a resort-style accommodation option within the airport precinct rather than solely as a short-transit room product. Current descriptions also identify a club lounge offering among the property’s facilities.
Round-the-clock dining in the room
In-room dining is available 24 hours, adding an all-hours food option for passengers arriving or departing outside conventional restaurant schedules.
Italian All-Day Dining from Morning to Midnight

Allora’s Italian restaurant and bar
Allora Ristorante & Bar is the current on-site dining venue, combining Italian all-day dining with bar service. Its offering includes handcrafted pizzas, artisanal pastas, cocktails and wines, with service from 6:00 am to midnight daily.
Breakfast through late evening
Breakfast runs from 6:00 am to 10:30 am. Hotel materials specify bar service from 11:00 am to midnight, while one brochure gives a 9:30 pm last food order.
Earlier dining venues
The launch-era dining portfolio included Azur, a club lounge, Lobby Lounge, Bar ’75 and Imperial Treasure, alongside the broader original restaurant programme.
A 540-Square-Metre Pool Above the Airport Landscape

Landscaped mini-islands and Jacuzzi corners
The single outdoor pool measures 540 square metres and was designed with landscaped mini-islands and Jacuzzi corners, giving the airport property a resort-style outdoor focus.
Control Tower and Jewel outlooks
The pool is open daily from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm and looks towards the iconic Changi Control Tower and Jewel Changi Airport.
Airport-Linked Fitness and Rainforest Event Spaces

Extended-hours fitness centre
The property’s current wellness offer centres on a fully equipped fitness centre. Hotel descriptions advertise 24-hour access, while one brochure specifies operating hours of 6:30 am to 10:30 pm.
Seven-room MICE infrastructure
The hotel provides 978 square metres of meeting space across seven rooms, including Chengal Ballroom and nature-inspired function rooms. Event materials cite latest-technology audiovisual support, complimentary Wi-Fi, a dedicated point of contact and a two-hour response guarantee through the Meeting Success Program.
Large-format events with Green Mark status
The pillar-less ballroom can hold 30 tables or 360 people in theatre format. Named event spaces include Chengal 1, Chengal 2, Garcinia, Meranti Boardroom, Hopea, Kempas, Alstonia and Camellia Ballroom. The hotel is identified as BCA Green Mark Gold certified.
Terminal 3 Access with Jewel Five Minutes Away

Inside Singapore’s international gateway
The hotel sits within Singapore Changi Airport’s Terminal 3 precinct, making the airport itself its immediate setting. The surrounding Changi district is defined by international transport connectivity rather than a residential, nightlife or conventional city-centre environment.
Direct link to Jewel Changi Airport
Jewel Changi Airport is connected by a link bridge from the hotel’s Level 2 entrance. The walk takes about five minutes according to hotel materials, while Jewel’s own guidance gives an approximate five- to ten-minute walk from Terminal 3.
A transit base with mixed-use access
The Terminal 3 position combines direct airport access with a nearby mixed-use retail and attraction destination at Jewel, which is the defining geographic feature of the property’s location.

Guest reviews
We analysed 11,082 reviews and found 2,862 containing specific, useful feedback about Crowne Plaza Changi Airport by IHG. The feedback is organised by topic so you can quickly see what guests say about the property.
Overall: What guests say
2,012 relevant reviewsA calm, well-maintained, comfortable hotel directly connected to Changi Airport, especially convenient for transit stays and early flights; the Skytrain to Terminal 2 is outside, and guests often praise the service and thoughtful amenities. It is frequently described as expensive, and some report disappointing check-in, room-allocation, or noise issues.
See the evidence
Because it is directly connected to the airport, I was able to check in with plenty of time before my early-morning flight. The Skytrain to Terminal 2 is right outside, so getting there was easy.
We slept soundly knowing we wouldn’t be late for our flight and could start our summer family holiday relaxed and stress-free.
The hotel itself exceptional every minor detail thought of for the traveller
We stayed for one night after three week family trip around Indonesia. This was our tenth hotel/accomodation and the most expensive (due to location), however was also the only hotel which did not accomodate our request to have rooms beside each other.See all reviews about overall
Rooms: What guests say
2,113 relevant reviewsRooms are generally spacious, clean, quiet, and well equipped, with especially comfortable beds; runway views and family-themed rooms are notable highlights. Some guests report damp or mouldy smells, noisy air-conditioning or plumbing, and bathroom taps that splash water. A few rooms were small or uncomfortable for three guests, with extra beds sometimes costing more.
See the evidence
The rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable, with very comfortable beds, ensuring we had a great night's sleep before our long flight.
Unfortunately the room we had smelt very strongly of mould/damp the bedding was also a little wet feeling.
Unable to sleep as very bad water hammer every time someone near us turned on a tap, constantly woke us up all night. Air conditioners was very loud even on low fan.
We paid a decent amount of money for our room, which was meant to be for 3 adults (parents with 17 year old son), however the room was a bit disappointing, not spacious with a simple extra bed squeezed in.See all reviews about rooms
Location: What guests say
2,125 relevant reviewsThe hotel’s standout advantage is its direct location at Changi Terminal 3, making it especially convenient for layovers, early flights, and overnight stays. Jewel and airport dining are within walking distance, and the MRT is about 10 minutes away. Note that access requires clearing immigration, other terminals may be less straightforward, and corridors can mean a long walk with luggage.
See the evidence
The location is perfect within Changi. If you fly out of terminal 3, you could literally be at your gate in under 30 minutes.
Excellent location. Easy to access from Terminal 3 and you just walk in from the departures floor at Changi. You must clear immigration to do this, but this is no problem in Singapore and there is no wait.
Getting to the downtown part of the city is also easy as the MRT station is a short 10 minute walk from the hotel. Jewel is just across the street although it is quite a trek from terminal 3 using the skywalk.
Turns out if you are leaving from any other terminal than terminal 3 the location of the Crowne Plaza isn’t as straightforward as you think.See all reviews about location
Staff: What guests say
1,374 relevant reviewsStaff are repeatedly described as friendly, helpful, attentive, and efficient, with named reception and lounge employees praised for warm service, upgrades, and going out of their way to assist. Specific gestures included wheelchair help for a guest with a disability and birthday surprises. Some guests reported poor communication, slow service, misgendering, and a disputed late-checkout issue.
See the evidence
I liked that the concierges on 21st at checkout at 6pm were compassionate, helpful and they provided me with a wheelchair up to the airport check-in and they seeing my disability, took me off the front desk queue and helped me checkout as I was struggling to stand.
The team in the Club lounge, Raymond and Wendy were exceptional. Thank you for your warmth and kindness!
Special mention to Samantha at check-in. Because of her kindness and smile, we were incredibly upgraded to a family suite. It was such a wonderful Father's Day gift and made our stay even better.
I asked to speak to management , and got told she already had , when I pushed again and said no I can’t accept this , the manager eventually came over and read my booking . Com messages and gave in when he saw the confirmation of late check out . I got some half apologies . But after a 13 hour flight this is not the experience you expect from a quality hotel. Was very disappointed.See all reviews about staff
Breakfast: What guests say
791 relevant reviewsBreakfast is most often praised for its generous, varied buffet, with international dishes and fresh options; several guests call it excellent or among the best they have had. It often starts early, around 5:30–6:00 a.m. Some find it expensive, and recurring drawbacks include cold food, occasional quality issues, and a crowded breakfast room.
See the evidence
The breakfast is the best we have experienced. I have celiac, they have not one but TWO gluten free stations, in addition to countless other gluten free options (fruit, eggs, veggies etc). They have noodle stations, pastries, Indian, Chinese, fruits and vegetables, all made fresh. We stayed for two nights and they do rotate their hot food options.
The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of high-quality options.
Breakfast isn’t cheap, but it’s very varied, and most importantly, it starts at 5:30 a.m.
Breakfast room was to small and busy to handle the number of guest,See all reviews about breakfast
Transport: What guests say
734 relevant reviewsThe hotel’s direct connection to Terminal 3 and nearby Skytrain make it convenient for layovers, early flights, and transfers to other terminals; many guests could walk there with luggage. However, signage can be unclear, and reaching the hotel requires passing immigration and customs rather than staying in the transit area. Before 5 a.m., terminal connections may be difficult because trains are not running.
See the evidence
The hotel is directly connected to the airport, and the shuttle train is right nearby, making it very convenient to get to any terminal. I think staying here is definitely the right choice for an early-morning flight.
When we originally booked online it said that it was in the airport terminal. While this is true, the missing disclaimer is you have to go through immigration and customs and enter the country of Singapore to access the hotel - it is not in the transit area of the airport, but is part of the terminal building.
After we had collected our luggage at the airport, it wasn’t clear on how to get from terminal 1 to the hotel. Better signage on catching the sky train would assist.
It is very difficult to get to the terminals from the hotel before 5 am as the trains don't start earlier and you can't use a trolley through the Jewel which is the only other way to transfer between terminals and the hotel. This really needs to be fixed.See all reviews about transport
Facilities: What guests say
712 relevant reviewsGuests frequently praised the hotel’s beautiful design, gardens, cleanliness, and extensive facilities. The Club Lounge was a recurring highlight, and post-checkout showers, luggage storage, and access to facilities were especially useful for airport stopovers. Some noted warm, unairconditioned hallways and lifts, slow elevators, occasional cleanliness concerns, and a dated feel; one guest reported a strong damp smell in the Jewel Wing.
See the evidence
The hotel is large and very beautiful, with tasteful décor, and the pool is fantastic.
The Club Lounge was a perfect place to chill out
Really appreciated the luggage storage and shower facility
There is clearly a damp problem.. I’m not sure about the other sections of the hotel but the jewel wing the hallways smelt very bad too of mould/damp! It was very strong and air conditioning didn’t help to aerate the smell either.See all reviews about facilities
Check-in / Check-out: What guests say
646 relevant reviewsCheck-in experiences vary: many guests describe a quick, easy process, while others report slow, crowded or confusing queues and booking discrepancies. Early check-in and late checkout are sometimes available, often for an extra charge; guests valued the flexibility, but one pre-agreed late checkout was not honored at arrival.
See the evidence
Check in and out can be very crowded, but the staff always tries to help keep things quick.
Unfortunately, we had a very unfortunate event at check in - roughly six months in advance I had arranged to pay for a late check out and this was confirmed via the booking. Com messenger. When we checked in and I asked about the late check out , staff advised that they couldn’t offer this as the hotel was at capacity due to the Disney cruise.
Check-in and check-out were quick and efficient.
Cost over £120 just for early check-in, ie to check in 7 hours earlier than normal timeSee all reviews about check-in / check-out
Pool: What guests say
629 relevant reviewsGuests often praised the beautiful, large outdoor pool as a refreshing place to relax between flights, with views of planes taking off; some found it clean and well maintained. A recurring complaint was too few loungers, sometimes with empty seats marked reserved. Other notes mention shallow water, poolside noise, occasional fuel smells, and slow service.
See the evidence
Insufficient seating around pool area due to keeping reserved seating for higher-paying customers. The seats were all empty but “reserved”.
The swimming pool, which is huge, was super shallow, rather designed for children to splash in it.
The pool was beautiful and we did some night swimming and that was a wonderful experience. You get to see the planes taking off.
Smell of air fuel at pool, but you have to expect it.See all reviews about pool
Restaurant: What guests say
510 relevant reviewsDining reviews are mixed: Allora is praised for its pizza, pasta, and tasty food, while other guests found meals bland, average, or overpriced. Slow, understaffed service and delays were recurring complaints. Late-night options and room-service hours can be limited, though some guests reported quick, good room-service meals.
See the evidence
Allora restaurant at the hotel well worth a visit, fantastic pizza & pasta!
restaurant was busy, understaffed and extremely slow, food decent but value again questionable based on service. In hindsight wish we had just gone back to the airport for some fast food. Wasted hours sitting around.
Room service ended at 2230, it would have been nice to be able to have non-airport food when arrived in late and left in morning
The restaurant was disappointing, the food lacked any flavour and was overpriced.See all reviews about restaurant
Gym: What guests say
63 relevant reviewsThe gym is often praised as well equipped for hotel workouts, with modern equipment and 24-hour access reported. Some guests found it small or crowded, and it may lack specialist equipment such as a power rack or Smith machine. One report noted it got warm without fans; cleanliness and availability concerns were occasional.
See the evidence
Good gym with modern equipment and open 24 hours
The gym is too small ! Crowded when I wanted to use it both on arrival and following morning .
There was also a fitness gym (with limited equipment; it was unmanned and had no power rack or Smith machine), so it was possible to get in a light workout without any problem.
The gym is well equipped for Holliday needs, it does not have any fans though so it gets warm quickSee all reviews about gym
