A calm, well-maintained, comfortable hotel directly connected to Changi Airport, especially convenient for transit stays and early flights; the Skytrain to Terminal 2 is outside, and guests often praise the service and thoughtful amenities. It is frequently described as expensive, and some report disappointing check-in, room-allocation, or noise issues.

This review is only for people like me who expect that this number one hotel practices diversity and inclusion. I feel they don't. My request to Crown Plaza if you want to have specific group of people in your hotel. Let us know. But you keep getting business from people who have different backgrounds and culture, but you have different service standards for them. This is not acceptable at all.
We find this hotel option with readily available late check-out a real bonus on any visit to Singapore and also if we are passing through Singapore to other destinations, we will generally do a Crowne Plaza overnight stay and fly on at a reasonable time the next day.
We recently held our two-day regional business meeting at Crowne Plaza Changi Airport under the Full Day Meeting Package, and we would like to express our sincere appreciation to the team for the excellent support throughout the event.

Unlike some airport hotels - such as the Sofitel at London Heathrow T5 - they actually provide a value add experience rather than just trade on location. (Sofitel - you could learn from this!!)
We stayed one night from Sunday 21/06 to Monday 22/06 at the Crowne Plaza® Changi Airport because we had an early morning flight and were traveling with kids and my bike.
I don't really have a problem with this hotel, but it has been voted world's best airport hotel multiple times and I slightly wonder why. Nothing wrong with it.

PPL who working - those the most important and main symbol ,face of the place ,who are creating the atmosphere and memories 🤗🫂🎶thank you ,all for terrific job!
I think the price charged is not worth the property standards, considering I payed as much as for a huge suite in a 5 star plus hotel
The hotel is undergoing renovations, so some amenities are unavailable. They should lower the price accordingly, and even without the renovations, the price is unjustified.

The Crown Plaza Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. After a long-haul flight, this was exactly what I needed for recovery and comfort.
We stayed at Crowne plaza in Changi airport for a few days, to relax before our connecting flight and had a lovely time.
But we were also surprised by being offered a plastic cup of water as a welcome gesture in a 5 star hotel.

We enjoyed our stay and love the lengths that you go to in order to cater for flight times with either early
I am disappointed with this hotel. This is so called world’s number one hotel. I am surprised how the ratings works.
I’ve stayed in crown for most of my travel to sg and it certainly used to be way desirable and comfortable.

We will definitely book this hotel again on future stopovers in Singapore both as a restful oasis between long flights
There was nothing I didn't like about the place, it was everything I needed for the purpose of my stay.
It is the priciest option at Changi Airport but definitely worth the price in terms of comfort and service.

Confused to say the least and very disappointed in this hotel which I held in such high regard .
Bearing in mind most people would use this as a stop over they could have supplied some useful toiletries.
We would definitely stay again for a longer period of time, though this was just a stop over visit.

While each of these issues may seem minor in isolation, collectively they detracted significantly from the overall experience.
As per our stay on the 12th May it was once again a fantastic stay overnight between flights.
The property itself was just next to airport but none noise to be heard, very comfortable and beautiful.

The cost, but I paid for convenience of being close to the airport for my next flight.
No explanation of the higher bill and the additional fees. Since these are set by law, I find the hotel's quoted rate misleading; in my case, it was around €48 more per night. That’s a nice way to undercut other honest hotels. Once the guest is there, they can make excuses about statutory taxes… That’s not the right way to do things. We’ve experienced it differently in Singapore, too: the quoted rate matched the final amount to the dollar, including all fees.
Finding a hotel you love is great, but finding one you want to return to four times is rare, Four stays with Crown Plaza Changi Airport and it is still our absolute go-to. We have stayed here for our family holidays and they never fail to impress. All I can say is this was our fourth visit and we had great experience staying there similar to our previous three visits.

We stayed one night after three week family trip around Indonesia. This was our tenth hotel/accomodation and the most expensive (due to location), however was also the only hotel which did not accomodate our request to have rooms beside each other. This was unexpected given it is a big hotel, so with a little more customer focus and planning they really could and should have managed this.
Yet they have my card details and would basically take out any amount - I was also told there is nothing to pay, and the whole amount of my deposit has been refunded back into my account. this was not the case I got a big, massive bill and still waiting for a Tax Invoice/Receipt I have been RIPPED OFF.
Do not get me wrong. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoy your hotel which is why we stayed with you again a year later and will stay with you next time we pass through Singapore. This is the only reason I gave you the lowest score for cleanliness. Otherwise your hotel gets a high score for cleanliness.

Location: What guests say
View Crowne Plaza Changi Airport by IHG2,125 relevant reviews
The hotel’s standout advantage is its direct location at Changi Terminal 3, making it especially convenient for layovers, early flights, and overnight stays. Jewel and airport dining are within walking distance, and the MRT is about 10 minutes away. Note that access requires clearing immigration, other terminals may be less straightforward, and corridors can mean a long walk with luggage.

This is a great place to stay for a short stopover in Singapore. It is in country but still at the airport, with a MRT station to pop into town and have a good look around. Also close to the Jewel, a sight at the airport. MRT to center is about 50 min ride each way.
The location is very accessible to the transit area. You will have a very relaxing ambiance after a long travel, and it is a good place to explore Singapore in a short period of time. Right next to Jewel, we were able to witness the spectacular light show.
Hotel is located right at Changi Airport, perfect for travellers before/after a flight or local staycation, though I wouldn’t have think tourist would pick this hotel given the location is a distance from the city and most of the sightseeing areas.

We were on our way from one side of the world to the other and decided to stay the night to break up the journey. Couldn't have asked for a better location for a 1 night stay (or more).
For a visit to Singapore, I’d recommend a hotel in the city centre. In my opinion, the journey between the airport and the city is too long (20–25 minutes) to book it as a city-break hotel.
This is a great option for breaking up a trip from Europe to Australia. It is ultra convenient - located right at the airport but also next to the huge Jewel shopping mall.

The location is convenient for taking your time to explore the airport’s various facilities, especially Jewel. I also think it’s a good choice if you have an early flight the next day.
Connected straight to the terminal and the Jewel (aka an indoor rainforest that puts most city centres to shame), you can literally go from baggage claim to bliss in minutes.
And just cannot stop raving about the location of the hotel itself. Our departure was fromT3, we just walked out of the hotel into T3 which was just superb.

I loved that the hotel was right on the property of the amazing Changi airport. Very easy to get to and in a good location for airport attractions.
When you have a long layover or just need a quick one night stay at the airport this hotel is perfectly located right next to Terminal 3.
If you’ve got an overnight or long transit in Singapore, don’t think twice. Stay here, stretch out, and let the airport chaos fade into background noise.

It’s quite a hike from the main reception/ hotel area to the rooms in the Jewel Wing when you do it multiple times in 24 hours
The hotel is near the jewel which is nice and there are plenty of things to do in the area while waiting for your flight
The location of this hotel, just a short walk from baggage claim is ideal as a starting point in Singapore after a late-night flight arrival.

If your transiting or staying in Singapore its a brilliant hotel to stay in as Changi Airport is a playground for everyone to enjoy.
It was easy to walk from the airport, to the hotel, to the attached mall to buy some essentials and get a good meal.
The hotel is very convenient located in Terminal 3 but also easily accessible by the skytrain, if you are arriving from another terminal.

Located directly in Terminal 3 of the airport, but outside the security checkpoints. Very quiet, great view, good beds, delicious breakfast, good bar.
Ignorantly did not realise airport operates 24/7 unlike Heathrow, so plane noise at night is not insignificant and people arriving/departing all night.
Many drivers we used during our stay in Singapore told us travellers want to stay there but the rate pushes them away.

This hotel is in a brilliant location for transit between flights whilst making the most of everything Changi has to offer.
Next to the jewel shopping centre which is way overpriced (£95 for a Fred Perry polo??)but nice for a walk around.
Great location next to T3 at Changi and Jewel shopping mall. Great for quick trips to Singapore, which suits us fine.

A very well- located and well run airport hotel for the long distance traveller to take a break in t
Having flown from Seattle to Seoul to Singapore, arriving exhausted after midnight, we needed some convenient accommodations for the night before relocating in the city of Singapore. Indeed, the Crowne Plaza is conveniently located on airport grounds and connected to Terminal 3. Even better, you can walk through two enclosed pedestrian bridges from the second floor of the Crowne Plaza while following the signs to Jewel in Terminal 1, the gem of Changi Airport. It's accessible without ever going outside by taking the bridge to Terminal 3, making an immediate right, and taking another bridge to one of the upper floors of Jewel.
We stayed at this hotel for two nights after a long flight from LHR and to do some shopping at the Jewel before moving into the city. The good points are the location. Changi airport has so many shops and has the Jewel shopping centre in the middle with the vortex water fall in the middle. That is worth a look in itself and there are multiple levels of shops. This location makes you a part of that. There is a walkway from your hotel into the Jewel or you can take the 2 minute sky train.

We were in the Jewel wing, which is isolated from the main hotel and discouraged us from leaving the room to dine, etc. The convenience of being in the airport was offset by the distance from the main building. Given the additional cost paid for this convenience, it was disappointing to find ourselves so far away. In hindsight, we would have preferred a taxi ride to the city and stayed overnight in a city centre hotel.
Location is a key thing for me. The 'Jewel' part of the airport is literally minutes walk away for plenty of dining and shopping options. There's also a more casual basement area for economical prices. If you've got time and inclination, 'hub and spoke' is about 10 minutes walk away and you can do a free 2 hour bike ride. And my work area at Expo is about 4 minutes away.
There isn't anything we didn't like, however if you need a completely quiet room at night, be mindful that this hotel is literally within the airport, so very early in the morning, you will hear the planes taking off and it is quite loud. It didn't bother us (we have a toddler, and we were jet-lagged), but it may affect others choosing to stay at the airport.

Rooms: What guests say
View Crowne Plaza Changi Airport by IHG2,113 relevant reviews
Rooms are generally spacious, clean, quiet, and well equipped, with especially comfortable beds; runway views and family-themed rooms are notable highlights. Some guests report damp or mouldy smells, noisy air-conditioning or plumbing, and bathroom taps that splash water. A few rooms were small or uncomfortable for three guests, with extra beds sometimes costing more.

The alarm close was set 1 hour behind time !!! This is VERY bad for an airport hotel. When my alarm on my phone went off I looked at the clock on bedside table and it wasn’t the time my alarm was meant to go off. Coming off a flight and having a short sleep I was disoriented and ended up falling back to sleep for a short period which meant a very stressful quick get up to get to the check in on time. Things like the time on clocks in airport hotels should certainly be checked when the room is turned down
Room 317, cleanliness in the bathroom behind the front sink stonecover., apparently never cleaned. While using the toilet at night, I took torch just to avoid switching the bathroom lights and waking up my husband. Accidentally saw behind the sink frontal stone cover from the side, which is open, and it's awful dirty there. The glass cabin bathroom wall is fancy, but never dark in.this room, we ended up walking without lights on.
However, the most frustrating aspect of our stay revolved around the bed arrangement. Despite booking a room for two adults and a child, we were initially provided with a baby cot that was impractical for our almost 4-year-old. Upon requesting a proper bed, we were met with resistance and told it was a last-minute request, with an additional charge of $60 for an extra bed.

We will never stay in the jewel section again. The need to continually close the blinds when we used the toilet or bathroom was annoying this created complete blackout in the entire room so you needed to put on lights and coulnot enjoy the view or even natural light. This is a serious design flaw and very annoying.
Room is of decent size by local standard, comes with a sofa and work station with a comfy bed. Some rooms overlooking the runway are great for plane spotting though be prepared to hear jet blasting away every other minute. Not particularly loud but definitely can be heard, especially if a 777/380 comes by.
The shower stall had a small gap at the bottom which made water leak all over the flower and completely dampened the foot towel used to step out of the shower to avoid slipping on the wet tile. If there was a seal to avoid this, the bathroom would have been perfect.

Room is a little old and could use with some updating/repair. Placement of bodywash/shampoo are undesirable. I understand that the hotel was probably trying to stop their guest from taking the huge bottles of products but bolting it to the wall certainly make it less desirable and borderline tacky.
Speaking of the rooms, they were nothing short of luxurious. The attention to detail in the decor, furnishings, and amenities truly made me feel like a valued guest. The room was immaculately clean and well-maintained, offering a serene and peaceful atmosphere that helped me unwind and recharge.
The room was outstanding- we got upgraded to a room with a fabulous bathroom- spacious lovely bath and a unique glass wall to the main room onto which the floral wall pattern was continued. This could be closed with a bind. Lots of nice touches.

The room was very good with a comfortable bed, lovely bathroom and the night lights in the base of the bedside tables were a very rare but much appreciated inclusion (especially when not familiar with the layout of the dark room at night).
The windows may be soundproof, but unfortunately the door isn’t. So earplugs are a good idea. The air conditioning also had quite a bit of trouble dealing with the outdoor temperatures. Otherwise, the room was a little worn, especially the bathroom.
The runway-view room did not disappoint! First of all, we were delighted to find it extremely spacious and well laid out. The runway view was completely unobstructed (we were on the 6th floor and could see all the landings).

The room provided a perfect night's sleep with an incredibly comfortable bed and impressive sound insulation. Despite being located at the airport, I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was - no aircraft noise disrupted my rest.
The room rates are extremely high and beyond what we can afford! We paid €350.00 per night, including breakfast for two! They used to have the Club Lounge, at least, and the room was almost €100 cheaper then.
The room toilet sitting cubicle no water spray and if someone doing big or small bussiness to wash up need to cross to shower place to wash up. Having water spray nearcthe cubicle is for hygiene purpose.

Then we had an overnight flight. We kept the room for the whole next day. The management decided that they did not want the room cleaned. Until i insisted rather strongly. Then they did it.
The room was a good size and had everything I needed for an overnight layover. My bag was lost in transit so it was convenient to have toothbrushes and toiletries available in the room.
The room was very quiet for being by the airport. We could not hear the planes when we were inside the room, but outside, you could hear them. The bed and bathroom were comfortable.

The bed was comfortable. Everything was clean. There's a great desk and a comfortable chair in the room, making it suitable for work. The Wi-Fi is good. There is plenty of closet space.
If you are a smoker get a room on the 3rd floor where the pool is as the smoking area is just at the end of the hall next to the elevator.
However, once I saw the room (which was definitely not accessible) and called the help desk, they reiterated that there was no other room since they gave the room we booked away.

There was no bottled mineral water in the room, so I had to drink water from the built-in purifier, and I felt uneasy about whether it was properly maintained and cleaned.
After he left the temp did not improve, in fact the thermostat showed it got a bit warmer if anything. So terrible sleep after spending $500 plus for the room.
Only there for one night and places in a room with 2 lift rides and a fair walk away with an average view of the street below and paid premium

Our room faced the runway so very noisy at night, I should have mentioned it as I had booked a garden view room which is away from the runway.
When we arrived we were given room 512. My understanding is most rooms of the standard we had booked were similar in that the bathroom/toilet is basically a glass box so you can full view from the adjacent bed and tv area. But who in there right mind wants to watch your partner on the toilet? At 11pm we retire to bed however we are receiving bright lights from the two outside windows on the bathroom external wall, which opens out into the open landing outside our room! We could not sleep. So I point this out to reception and they give us another room on the 8th floor, which was identical, i.e. the same problem! I go back down to reception and their response was some guests like the room set up.
Confusing trying to find our room though. We had to take the lift to the second floor, swipe into the Jewel area, then walk what felt like miles with our cases and then get the lift at the end up to the 10th floor. It's not signposted and it should be. We got lost so we had to retrace our steps back to reception and get escorted to our room! Room was nice, a little small for us with our luggage and the only natural light is from the bathroom wall so if you are using the bathroom you have to close the blinds which blocks out the natural light. Fine for us as we were just there for around 8 hours to sleep before the next long haul flight.

There was some mouldy / dirt residue under the sliding door close to the mini fridge, and the place overall wasn't that clean. The TV is damaged, two big white spots on the front and some black smudges on top. It also explained how to use HDMI, but there was no HDMI cable exposed anywhere. The drain flap seemed to be damage on the bath, and only let very little water out at a time. There's a body wash dispenser next to the bath that seems to contain liquid, but pressing the button didn't change anything. The light switches for the reading lights above the bed were wired the wrong way around, so I had to flip to the other side to switch the light above me off.
Although we had booked a room with a double bed, we were given twin beds. Since it was too far to walk back to reception in the middle of the night, we accepted them. The next morning, we were told that a double bed was no longer available and that we had been given an upgrade. However, we did not notice any upgrade, and our room had been booked as non-refundable. That is, we would have had to pay for it even if we had not arrived. So I would have expected them to hold the double bed for us, even if we arrived late.
The bed was incredibly comfortable, pillows were plush, duvet was soft and mattress felt like a cloud! One of the best nights sleep we’ve had on our 5 week trip. The room was a great size, enough room for 4 suitcases. Telly was easy to operate (some places it can be complicated!). The bathroom was incredible, electronic blinds, large bath, all toiletries complimentary. Shower had good power to it and was huge in size so you feel clean coming out of it. The shampoo, conditioner and body wash were beautiful smelling (not overpowering, but enough to make you feel pampered when using). Towels were soft.

Staff: What guests say
View Crowne Plaza Changi Airport by IHG1,374 relevant reviews
Staff are repeatedly described as friendly, helpful, attentive, and efficient, with named reception and lounge employees praised for warm service, upgrades, and going out of their way to assist. Specific gestures included wheelchair help for a guest with a disability and birthday surprises. Some guests reported poor communication, slow service, misgendering, and a disputed late-checkout issue.

When asking questions via booking.com when making the booking the resultant response was very poor as if a low quality AI based system was responding to our queries which they interpreted incorrectly and the response time in some instances was up to 3 days . When the responses arrived they were not in plan english but obviously used local colloquial language An example in response to a cost query was $140++ . I had no idea what this meant and till today can only guess what it meant.
Everyone in this hotel is very kind and professional, including the engineering team who went to check our room when we had an issue. Was also very impressed with the housekeeping team. Their respectful nature and meticulous attention to detail, including the charming touch of tidying my children's toys and arranging them on top of their beds every day, did not go unnoticed.
Thomson (sales catering manager) guided us from start to finish for our banquet package with expertise and grace - ensuring we had everything considered and ready for our big day. He took care of our blind spots so that we had exactly what we needed - nothing more, nothing less (no upselling!).

I like the customer service at the counter, the lady whom served me is great. Welcome me with a smile and check with me if I need an room upgrade since the room I booked may not be able to fit in an additional bed for my kid.
We must also give a big thanks to Serene at reception who helped us resolve a little booking hiccup we had. She was very friendly and did her best to help us out, despite the limitations in what she could do from her side.
Our family were welcome by the staff from helping the unloading the stuff from the car till entering the room, they handle the tasks with excellent and professional skills and knowledge. Mr Raymond applied his excellent skills to meet our required needs

I was asked to sit in the bar!!! Like a lepper… or a solo traveller taking up value space! I’d paid the price for two people, which is acceptable, but be treated as a lesser client is very unpleasant!!
When I expressed my disappointment at what it took to change the reservation, he not only understood and was helpful, but went above and beyond what I could have expected in trying to make me happy.
I thought if there were maybe 2 or 3 staff checking in the group and 1 member of staff checking in the non group members in the long cue that it would be fairer.

Raymond, Jasmine and Ameline (apologies for spelling incorrectly!) always make me feel so welcome at the lounge. Their warmth and consistently high standards of care are so very much appreciated. Thank you.
I appreciated that the housekeeping/contact center/front desk/concierge staff through dedication, professional efforts helped search and recover my left behind accessory to have it returned back to me. Thanks for the effort.
Waking us up in the middle of the night to pay the bar bill, even though we had been offered the option of putting it on the room bill

Amber on the front desk was amazing and helped us with the best advice and tailored our stay to better suit us without being asked; showed great initiative.
Came back to complain and good thing they returned back the first payment paid upon pre-checked- in but the 100SGD for the hotel deposit haven't return yet.
I reported the issue at check out and didn't even receive an apology, the staff member just noting that they would inform management of the issue.

From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. The staff at reception and in the Club Lounge were exceptionally attentive, professional, and genuinely kind.
Staff were excellent - I forgot my tablet in the room and they contacted me promptly to arrange return (wonderful - thank you again!),
Staff were friendly and helpful for the short time we were there. We also had help with our luggage to and from the room.

These guys are something else, they have the absolute best service and it’s almost embarrassing as they want to do everything for you.
Being a regular there, I expected at least a pleasant service from them & always get disappointed with the poor service eventually.
It seemed the promise of lowering the temp for the whole floor was just a ploy to make some tip money?

This review is for the main players we delt with though each and every one of the staff are wonderful.
We were travelling as a family and I’d single out the helpfulness of the staff. Everyone went above and beyond.
The staff were all super helpful. I requested for extra pillow and towel and it was delivered to me immediately.

The kind and dedicated staff helped and guided my elderly in-laws, who were traveling alone, to their connecting flights.
One of the lady’s that was at reception was very very rude and did not want to help me at all !!! First thing she said to me when I asked if I could book a room was sorry I can’t help you or book a room for you and you must book the room online and once that’s complete I can check you in at 9am or 10am . I said that’s not a problem at all I can do that, once I did that and showed her that I booked it she said “that’s great you booked it” I can’t check you in before 12pm. I understand there is hotel rules and policy’s but this lady’s focus is not customer service at alll !!!!!! She must go she was rude and arrogant and if she doesn’t like her job go find another one.
However, there is an incident of other guests utilising my assigned room pool-side verandah chairs and were quickly highlighted to the front desk, which then had assigned security staff to assist in handling the incident. To my disappointment, the affected security staff not only had no information of Room 326 guests, and after approaching China Nationals guests for verification in which they had claimed that affected room were his, only to be stopped by my wife claiming that the affected room were ours, the security staff only then simply walk away.

We had a plane to catch so was told the hotel will contact their finance office asap and give me a update via email. I had to follow this up days later as I got no update to then find out it would take 10-13 business days for a refund. This was over the Newyears period so with the public holidays and weekends I did not get a refund until end of Jan. It was a significant amount too so this really affected our travels going forward.
While quietly working on my laptop alone on a sofa in a hallway that leads to the hotel and is rarely used by anyone, an older man approached me and abruptly asked, “Are you a guest?” I explained politely that I had stayed the previous night and had just checked out. However, he immediately told me, “If you’ve checked out, leave. Don’t use this area,” in a tone that felt as though he were shooing away a beggar or a fly.
I asked to speak to management , and got told she already had , when I pushed again and said no I can’t accept this , the manager eventually came over and read my booking . Com messages and gave in when he saw the confirmation of late check out . I got some half apologies . But after a 13 hour flight this is not the experience you expect from a quality hotel. Was very disappointed.

Breakfast: What guests say
View Crowne Plaza Changi Airport by IHG791 relevant reviews
Breakfast is most often praised for its generous, varied buffet, with international dishes and fresh options; several guests call it excellent or among the best they have had. It often starts early, around 5:30–6:00 a.m. Some find it expensive, and recurring drawbacks include cold food, occasional quality issues, and a crowded breakfast room.

Unfortunately our flight was too early to enjoy the buffet breakfast that was included in our booking so was offered a takeaway breakfast. Sounds great in theory but it was woeful and extremely disappointing in reality. A stale sandwich (dumped) along with the undrinkable coffee, a tiny muffin and a fruit box which consisted of melon, melon and melon. Do better because the buffet looked great.
Having stayed previously and enjoyed an amazing breakfast (probably one of the best in the world!) it was very disappointing that, on this stay, breakfast had to be pre-ordered the night before and was then delivered to the room. This meant there was much less choice.
There was a lovely man that came and helped me when I came back around 11am he was wearing glasses he got me my room ready within half an hour and got me into the free breakfast buffet !!

Breakfast was included and what they offered at 5.30am was just out of this world. Such a high standard and so much to offer with variety of Asia, European and everything else.
🥐 The breakfast buffet? A full-on event. Delicious food, endless choice, and the kind of coffee that makes you forget you slept three hours on a plane.
2. No official halal options in breakfast buffet. Its in the airport, would be nice to offer some even if whole restaurant is not halal

And the morning buffet was one for the ages. You'll want to cancel your flight and stay longer just to keep eating.
. Only there was no salt n pepper or raw sugar n only one tea bag for English breakfast tea
Best breakfast ever, very high-quality food n only charge for minimal. Served honey from honey comb. Great morning, breakfast

The buffet breakfast at the hotel is extremely expensive by Singapore standards so we ordered a la carte.
We were offered Breakfast specials at $25.00pp. Very impressed with the variety, from western to eastern cuisine.
We didn't try the breakfast due to our flight time, but would love to next time.

Breakfast isn’t cheap, but it’s very varied, and most importantly, it starts at 5:30 a.m.
The breakfast as a bit ordinary, I had expected more variety based on the price
Generous buffet breakfast included in our rate - mix of western and Asian options

I can’t say how the breakfast was because I didn’t eat it, but
The buffet breakfast in substantial and tasty and worth including in booking fee.
I had to pay extra on site for breakfast for the third person.

The breakfast offered a good variety of food and was very tasty.
The breakfast could have been better, it was quite crowded and disorganized.
Breakfast was very average and a bit stingy for the price.

Breakfast also left absolutely nothing to be desired—truly, absolutely nothing. PERFECT!
The main breakfast restaurant, Azur, does serve Chinese food at night,
Breakfast was excellent, so much choice and very good quality.

Is it possible to have "salted butter" as an option.
We were tired, so we ordered in-room dining instead of going to the restaurant (which was a shame since we’d paid in advance). When I ordered through the chat, it said it would be ready in 30–60 minutes. It arrived in about 60 minutes. The price felt high, as you’d expect in Singapore, but the portions were generous, so it didn’t feel too overpriced. I ordered cut fruit for my three-year-old daughter and requested, “She has allergies, so please give us only strawberries, apples, and bananas.” They prepared it exactly as requested. ※Please note that the character limit in the special requests field is very low!
The breakfast buffet had a lot of variety to appeal to many ethnic groups. I would have liked to see more emphasis on fresh food in each category. I would have liked to have the option of a la carte breakfast cooked fresh. I did order an omelette however it was fresh but lacked technical expertise. I understand the ease of a buffet for catering large numbers of people however I would like to see more fresh options available and prepared with more precision. For me it is about quality as opposed to quantity.

The breakfast was nice and with enough choices, BUT the service team at the breakfast area served us to a table with a wet sofa chair. Luckily, the senior waiter (a polite uncle) stopped my daughter from sitting on it. I was a bit disappointed when the young waiter told us to sit at the same table on the DRY seats, even though there were many non-occupied tables. We rejected the offer and had chosen our own table.
We went for a breakfast early at 5:30 approximately. We approached the reception that set up for the breakfast. But, forget about greetings, there were no guidance or advice about the breakfast arrangements. We explored everything ourselves. I thought they are number one so they do it in different style. But no, this kind of behaviour is for specific group of people. Otherwise, there is a special treatment for special people. You know what I mean.
Breakfast sucks! Variety limited for the price to pay. Noodles were plain. Name card on cold meat were wrongly placed. We have to make our own coffee is not service at all! Some of the hot food appeared dried up. We were at breakfast at 7am. Comparing buffet breakfast we had in India, India served better breakfast to say the least. We were vacationing in India before transiting to Singapore.

The hotel’s direct connection to Terminal 3 and nearby Skytrain make it convenient for layovers, early flights, and transfers to other terminals; many guests could walk there with luggage. However, signage can be unclear, and reaching the hotel requires passing immigration and customs rather than staying in the transit area. Before 5 a.m., terminal connections may be difficult because trains are not running.

Booked a room for a night to stay over for a long layover. Arrived at terminal 3 (where it says the hotel is) only to have to leave the terminal via sky train and go through a declaration process and immigration. Wish I knew this ahead of time.
Our flight out was at 0835 so we went through to the departures area from the 2nd floor, checked our baggage and walked back to have breakfast. Then to our room to collect our carry-on and back to departures;
We stayed for 1 night on a stopover from Brisbane - Singapore - Barcelona. We landed in Terminal 1 and were able to walk to the hotel with our suitcases, so that was perfect.

We stay overnight during transit, very convenient when you have an early flight (Hotel located next to terminal 3 and it takes only 15 mins by sky train back to terminal 1)
Unlike the transit hotels you do need to go through customs to reach the hotel and go through security again when you depart, but the process was very efficient.
After 20 plus hours of travel it was nice to be able to step off the plane, have a short walk and check into the hotel.

Be sure that you know prior to staying that the property is landside so you need to clear immigration and have the landing card prepared.
We arrived at a time of crisis as we had been unable to take our onward flight and so were stuck at the airport.
Next time, I’d rather take a taxi to see the airport and spend an extra night at one of the really good hotels.

We arrive after midnight and left around 7 am to catch a flight, so we had little time to enjoy he room.
Wifi on work laptop really hard to connect, but IT supplier to hotel was very professional and helped fix issue swiftly.
Arriving in Singapore from Australia at the T3 terminal the location of the hotel was a short 5 minute walk.

Would suggest booking direct if you’re transferring as you can get a day rate that’s not offered with booking.com
And this was the second time I have stayed here when I had a layover on Changi airport.
Arriving about 11 pm, tired from incoming flight, hoping for quick sleep before early outgoing flight next morning.

After an 8 hour flight, touching down just before 9pm, we were in the hotel by 9.30 !!
Able to check our bags in so we could explore the city before our room was ready.
I had an 11 hour layover and really did not have the option to stay anywhere else.

The hotel is an integral part of the airport and very handy for a stop over
We had to book two rooms, which is expensive for one night at the airport.
It's hard to get to this hotel from the airport. Hard to believe but true.

Would I stay again on a connection likely, as its convenience and not nice.
As you can get from the airport directly to the hotel via Terminal 3.
Location from airport, this look a lot of stress out of a long trip

You do need to go through customs to access hotel but very simple.
The downside is that arriving at Terminal 4 after midnight means there will be limited bus service to Terminals 1-3, the only way to get to the Crowne Plaza using the airport's transportation system. The train doesn't navigate to Terminal 4. It was going to be over an hour wait for the next airport bus, so we simply used the Grab App (similar to Uber in the U.S.) and called a driver to take us to the Crowne Plaza. That's your best bet in the early morning hours.
Upon arrival at Singapore it was easy to connect to the hotel - Terminal 3 is connected to Terminal 1 via Skytrain in the Public Area. Exit to public area and take the Skytrain. Alight at Terminal 3 Departure, walk straight through to the hotel. It was great being able to get off the plane and have a short walk to be able to reach your hotel and relax.

When we originally booked online it said that it was in the airport terminal. While this is true, the missing disclaimer is you have to go through immigration and customs and enter the country of Singapore to access the hotel - it is not in the transit area of the airport, but is part of the terminal building.
We did not realise at the time of the reservation on Booking.com that we had to take a shuttle and rail to get us to our terminal. We travel on business class and had 4 x 30 kg of bags. At our age of over 70, it was a little challenging to step on the coach.
To get to the hotel, you have to leave the transit area, and after that you’re only allowed to re-enter once. So it’s either a city tour or taking your luggage to the hotel...🙃😉. The city tour was worth it, so the luggage stayed in the airport’s baggage room for the overnight stop...

Facilities: What guests say
View Crowne Plaza Changi Airport by IHG712 relevant reviews
Guests frequently praised the hotel’s beautiful design, gardens, cleanliness, and extensive facilities. The Club Lounge was a recurring highlight, and post-checkout showers, luggage storage, and access to facilities were especially useful for airport stopovers. Some noted warm, unairconditioned hallways and lifts, slow elevators, occasional cleanliness concerns, and a dated feel; one guest reported a strong damp smell in the Jewel Wing.

We didn't like that the reception is located on the ground floor and not on the terminal floor. The lift was not well sign posted, so you are faced with the prospect of taking the stairs or the escalator - both difficult with heavy cases.
You can pay for use regardless of your room type, and we enjoyed fruit and cold drinks after checking and then cocktails and a nice hot food and snack selection in the evening.
There was a certain amount of disruption due to renovation works being started but despite this the staff worked hard to make our stay as smooth as possible.

The lighting of all the public areas of the hotel are very dim, coming from the airport you feel like getting into a night club.
But I suspect there are staffing problems as well (not confined to SGP btw). I hope it is re-instated before our next visit.
However not being able to get a cold drink be it water or anything else for that matter is not acceptable.

Convenient for late arrival having a fridge in reception with drinks and sandwiches you could buy 24 hours a day.
The Club Lounge was like a little quiet area to snack on fresh food, coffee, tea or cocktails 😊
The standout was the Club Lounge and ‘Raymond’ who made sure we had everything we could wish for.

You can take the luggage cart into the lobby and all the way to your room, if necessary.
The water station in the hallway also didn't have water, so we stayed thirsty till morning.
There was no World Cup channel, apparently the hotel did not pay for a subscription.

The hotel is HUGE so I had a room waaaaayyyyy on the other "wing" (building)...
Regular checks on room facilities and mattresses should be conducted to avoid such inconveniences.
The air conditioning is exceptional here compared to other hotels located in hot climates

It has a “labyrinth-like” layout, with open corridors decorated with lots of plants.
TV was a bit short on channels and some channels did not work.
It’s got a very cavernous feel… especially walking to the Jewel section.

It was very dark when I exited the lifts on level 9
Pool looked inviting but schedule didnt permit use of the facilities
The new renovation of the bar and restaurant is beautifully done

Found the mood lighting of reception and communal areas very dark.
If you stay, make sure you get the lounge access.
Hallways on room floor are way too dark at night

For a very short stay the facilities were very good.
Late at night, I ordered ice and a bath chair. Orders are placed through the chat on your phone (there’s no phone service). I think it took about 15 minutes. Different staff members brought each item separately. ※This is common overseas: staff each have their own roles. If you ask the person who brought the ice, “What about the bath chair?” they’ll say, “My job is to bring the ice. I don’t know. Someone else should be coming.” It’s different from Japan.
My first experience with a 5-star hotel that I need to request for room cleaning. If you did not request for cleaning then there will be no cleaning done in your room regardless how many days you are staying in the hotel. There wasn’t even a signage or note indicated that I need to request for room cleaning. This is so disappointing to know if from a 5-star hotel, thot they stated cleanliness and comfort is the best from the hotel.

I wish I had been informed about maintenance earlier. I'd made my booking months in advance and while I was given the option of a refund or to back out, I didn't have the time to make a new booking so I stayed. Also due to maintenance I was unable to use the normal fitness centre.
Should have more than one bank installed with the layout of the hotel wings. It rained very heavily and the walkways on our floor were slippery and close to dnagerous - also the stairs were effectivley unusable due the rain - nto good design in a city where heavy rain is common.
We thought the 3rd floor was really too dimly lit to be safe for seniors and anyone with less good night vision - probably fine in the day time, but a bit concerning in the evening especially with the abundance of mini water pools dotted along the walkway to the rooms.

Check-in / Check-out: What guests say
View Crowne Plaza Changi Airport by IHG646 relevant reviews
Check-in experiences vary: many guests describe a quick, easy process, while others report slow, crowded or confusing queues and booking discrepancies. Early check-in and late checkout are sometimes available, often for an extra charge; guests valued the flexibility, but one pre-agreed late checkout was not honored at arrival.

We had requested a late check out as our flight the next day was an evening flight but was told on arrival that due to high occupancy this was not available. When queried we were told that if staying over a weekend, it was highly unlikely that a late check out would be available as weekends were their busiest periods. I asked if I could pay for a late check out and was unsuccessful.
Then I told him if he could call the airport assistance team when I would checkout, as the wheelchair attendant said the hotel should call them, the receptionist asked me to call them myself as the hotel has no connection with the airport service, and why I hadn't collected their phone number as I was dropped off.
It’s the small things. Simple and efficient check in. Usually you spend most of your time awkwardly waiting for the clerk to tap away for what seems like an eternity before being able to finally get your hands on your room key. This was super quick no fuss.

From the check-in procedures conducted by Ms Zyan, I was delighted that she had took her time to read the requests and specially assigned my room to be on the 3rd floor with easy access to the designated smoking area.
When I made the booking I stated my arrival time. The hotel should have told me up front about additional charges rather than trying to stiff a tired traveller at 4am after a long flight.
- Hotel took a $SGD 100 deposit which was excessive as I checked in at 10 pm & had to leave hotel at 5:30 am to catch my flight which was ridiculous

We originally booked 3 rooms and cancelled one via booking.com. The hotel made a mistake and cancelled 2 of our rooms which we found out when we tried to check in.
I was able to leave a couple of pieces of luggage with the concierge and pick it up a week later when I checked in again the second time.
Website says after 10 pm is late check in, so I had emailed a day before advising details of incoming flight and late arrival. Check in was smooth.

We were charged extra when checking into the hotel, and we were told this charge would be refunded after we checked out; it was a deposit.
Queues during check-in and check-outs. We had done the self check-in but our rooms were not ready so we were left kind of floating.
We were entitled to drinks at the Lobby lounge as per the reception staff however when we went down, the counter staff denied us.

He tried to explained details of the room booking process but in a such unprofessional & inappropriate manner which is not acceptable.
While check-in was a little clunky, Dema resolved the late checkout situation that wasn't showing up on the digital check-in process.
They provided us the opportunity for early check in after mid morning, after a very long flights landing that morning.

We arrived at 4pm and was told there was a problem with our room and they would find another.
The waiting time at check in. I arrived at 8 pm, there was a long queue and only to
Staff were able to allocate our room early for us which helped us immensely for a 7am landing.

We were allowed into our room from 9 a.m. and were able to use the pool until then.
Arrived about midnight and had to wait in line about 15 minutes to check in as busy.
We used the pool area after we checked out while we were waiting for our flight.

We were able to pay extra for a late check out to match our flight.
Was able to check in early without additional charges which we were very grateful for
Upon checkout they nearly double charged me, and I showed proof I already paid.

We landed at 7 in the morning and were at check-in by 8 a.m.
Upon checking in, there was a queue so we used the “express self check in”. It was a bit of a pain but got to the end (where our $518 AUD room was charged) and it got to the make a key part. Except there were no blank keys for us to use so my partner had to queue up to the front desk to let her know. Instead of just handing us the blank keys, she said to just leave it and she will finish it. Because that self checkout was left in limbo, she said our original card charge (which was now $640 AUD) wouldn’t get charged and she’s have to take another $640 to book the room. My banking app showed it as pending and I said we weren’t doing that (over $1200 now on hold for 1 night?!) Even after showing her the transaction from our bank she was telling us we’d have to pay again and we couldn’t cancel. After a long wait, she checked something out back and said the transaction did go through on their end. (Good thing we didn’t have another payment!)
I arrived early to Singapore and went to the hotel to try and see if I can get a room for a few hours.

The kiosk checkin we attempted to use didn't work very well. It didn't explain that there was a holding fee on the room in addition to the room cost. As well as it said we'd put a key on the reader and had got one room key but by the time we found them we hadn't even put anything on there so it was a bit odd that it said we'd got our first key correctly when we hadn't. We went to the staff and they checked us in the rest of the way and clarified we had breakfast included and where it was, as well as providing the missing key card for the room.
I expected the hard copy of the receipt though, the female reception did not give it to me either and just kept telling me the deposit which will be back. I signed my email address upon checkin and received their reward program’s information only but still does not receive the invoice/ receipt which I have paid at the hotel on the email at all. Tried to request it in person, I was in a hurry to find out the way to go to the terminal 2 so that I did not want to ask for it either. I got the conformation upon my arrival.

Pool: What guests say
View Crowne Plaza Changi Airport by IHG629 relevant reviews
Guests often praised the beautiful, large outdoor pool as a refreshing place to relax between flights, with views of planes taking off; some found it clean and well maintained. A recurring complaint was too few loungers, sometimes with empty seats marked reserved. Other notes mention shallow water, poolside noise, occasional fuel smells, and slow service.

A problem of concern was the boardwalk around the pool at approx1500. The boardwalk is wooden but it is far too hot to stand on without footwear. If there are warning signs they need to be larger and more obvious. Consequently when daughter and her children (who swim like fish thanks to their parents) tried to WALK from the lounge chairs to the water they had to run lest they burned their feet. It is NOT safe to run at any pool.
We spent the day visiting downtown Singapore. When we returned, after checking out of our room that morning and leaving our luggage at reception, they offered us the chance to use the pool and take a shower.
The green shade of the swimming pool in its nook far beneath us. We didn’t have time to swim ourselves but I enjoyed watching other people swim.

One of the highlights was the beautiful, clean, and large pool, perfect for a refreshing early morning swim before heading into the city.
The pool was in sections. They should’ve had one big pool and a section where it was a bit more deeper.
It boasts with a view and if you need to relax, go for a swim in the fantastic pool!

Absolutely love the pool area. As a swimmer and plane spotter, combining the two is just heaven.
The pool area is beautiful and if it wasn’t raining we would’ve used it for hours.
A very beautiful outdoor pool that is delightful after several hours on a plane.

The pool looked very nice, but unfortunately there was no time for a swim.
And pool looked great just didn't get time to get in it unfortunately
It was raining and we couldn’t use the swimming pool as originally planned.

It's a shame we didn't have time to enjoy the lovely pool
This was great for us. The pool was lovely as well.
The room service / pool bar / restaurant is very expensive.

The pool could have slightly better lighting at night time.
The pool, unfortunately being outdoors had wafts of engine oil.
Added bonus the pool was clean and well maintained.

The pool invites you to relax and cool off,
Not a lot of seating around the pool
And pool is great after a long flight

The pool was fantastic! My son loved it.
Particularly liked being able to use pool
Pool was a welcome place to relax.

They allowed us to use their pool
Secondly, there are signs telling the pool users to shower before entering the water. Nobody at the pool did as most just ran into the water. My daughter ran (not wanting to) the shower area which had a slate floor and it was even hotter than the wooden boardwalk. She had to jump into the water to escape the burning and consequently did not shower. She told me her feet hurt for an hour afterwards.
Just a small tiny bit of feedback for an incredible hotel. Pool is like ice. Just crazy cold. What a let down. You don’t book a place like this for a swim but to not even be able to have it as an option for our little one (and us) was such a shame and took a shine off an otherwise brilliant place to stay while in between worlds.

We could see the pool, but because the building is U-shaped, we could also see the rooms opposite ours. They were far away, so I don’t think either side could see inside the other’s room, but I wondered what a five-star hotel was doing with this kind of layout... I think it’s fine if you don’t mind.
It was difficult to order drinks at the pool; the app doesn't work very well. When we finally got our drinks, peanuts or some other chips would have been a nice touch, as they are at many hotels, especially given the price..... The pool lights go off after 6:30 p.m.—certainly a problem, but no one monitors it.
The pool area is lovely although as 3 sides of the pool are taken up by pool room seating ( fully reserved) on the sunny afternoon we arrived there was absolutely nowhere to sit. This was better early the next morning but as overcast the pool was not busy.

Restaurant: What guests say
View Crowne Plaza Changi Airport by IHG510 relevant reviews
Dining reviews are mixed: Allora is praised for its pizza, pasta, and tasty food, while other guests found meals bland, average, or overpriced. Slow, understaffed service and delays were recurring complaints. Late-night options and room-service hours can be limited, though some guests reported quick, good room-service meals.

We enjoyed the Happy Hour before heading to dinner in Terminal 3 (lovely bar staff!) - you can eat in the airport terminal (outside of immigration) if looking for Asian food (as the hotel restaurant is Italian - menu sounded good but not what we were wanting).
We went to the restaurant and had hoped for a nice meal but felt the restaurant was no different from options available at the adjoining Jewel centre, plus there was no one there so we left
The restaurant does not live up to the hotel’s standards. We had dinner there, but the table and the area underneath it were dirty and were only cleaned after I asked.

We wandered around Jewel the night before departure, looking for dinner, and ended up back at the hotel - not great food but no crowds & no lines.
11.30 at night, after 13 hours flight ... nothing open for food/drink For a hotel servicing travellers thru airport room service should be much more available....
I am sure other guests would like this option also, hopefully on my next visit the option will be on the drinks menu.

For an airport hotel with passengers coming in at all hours, the hours and services for food and toiletries were slim.
Buffet dinner was excellent for special Singapore National Day price of SG$60pp inclusive of all fees/taxes. Normally SG$120 + taxes/fees.
However the high quality of foods makes this walking a pleasure .Continental foods are available in the hotel lobby.

Also the ambience of the dining areas and Christmas decorations gave the place a polished and luxury feel.
And the Room service was phenomenal. I got the fried rice plate with chicken and fried egg.
The lounge was really good, it served breakfast and evening food and drink (5.30 - 7.30).

And free evening drinks and food were all perfect, with a wide variety on offer
The food that we ordered from the pool took a long time to come
Woke up just in time for a wonderful dinner at the Hotels Italian resturant.

Additionally, a glass of milk cost $8 AUD, which felt a little excessive.
Food was very poor - they need a Singaporean chef - and pricey.
The club access has some solid options for food and drink choices.

Room service was very slow for food service and poor value.
Wonderful restaurant area. They had a live band when we arrived.
The restaurant's last dinner service is too early, at 9:30 p.m.

The dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant were fantastic.
Italian restaurant adjoining the hotel serving good pasta and pizzas,
The hotel also had good restaurant options to eat.

Pricing on restaurant menu doesn’t include service and tax
Do not like having to pay for services meals with my credit card it ended up costing and extra 30aud for are meals due to the conversion rate would be nice to be given the option of cash or card was not told at the time of ordering that it was card only had we had know this we would not have got are meals their it is something we will have to look at before we think about staying their again
Did not like the restaurant being next to reception and felt more like a restaurant inside airport and not really attached to the hotel. Had an evening meal at the restaurant and was seated in an area across from main restaurant which did not feel special and more like an eat and go area. We had Calzones and were very disappointed as the filling had not taste at all and was very expensive for what we received.

The level of service in the lobby restaurant was slow. After being shown to our table, we had to wait a long time for the staff to take our order. We would have like to have a drink first, but the attendants seemed unconcerned about us. Eventually we were given some menus, but not the Asian food menu, which we had to ask for. The drinks and food finally arrived and everything else was ok after that.
There was a long wait for our aperitifs, and two of the drinks were wrong. There were four of us at the table, and one person was served their dish and had to wait quite a while before the other three were served, so their food was lukewarm. It’s a shame because the place is high-end, and so is the food, but the service leaves a lot to be desired.
There were a couple of issues, though, despite the overall positive experience. It wasn’t easy to order food. The QR code never worked so you had to phone to order - but when you called, the line was either engaged or involved a long wait to speak to someone who could take your order. When the food arrived, however, it was excellent.

Gym: What guests say
View Crowne Plaza Changi Airport by IHG63 relevant reviews
The gym is often praised as well equipped for hotel workouts, with modern equipment and 24-hour access reported. Some guests found it small or crowded, and it may lack specialist equipment such as a power rack or Smith machine. One report noted it got warm without fans; cleanliness and availability concerns were occasional.

I did use the gym and it had all the necessary equipment. The only negative of the gym was that the music was quite loud the day I was there and I couldn't figured out how to lower the volume.
There was also a fitness gym (with limited equipment; it was unmanned and had no power rack or Smith machine), so it was possible to get in a light workout without any problem.
The smell of chloride in the gym on the night of our arrival. Was difficult to use the gym because of that.

The gym is well equipped for Holliday needs, it does not have any fans though so it gets warm quick
The gym is too small ! Crowded when I wanted to use it both on arrival and following morning .
Gym is small, but decently equipped. It seems to be rarely used and I often have it to myself.

-Gym is definetly above average for a hotel gym. Managed to squeeze in a few real decent workouts.
And commented an air conditioning problem at the alleys that was immediately addressed by the maintenance staff.
The pool and gym areas were poorly maintained and not very clean during our stay.

Facilities: great gym that had machines adaptable for almost every exercise you need.
And gym, not of big size but again gets the job done.
Nice gym facilities. Not tht many people goes there in the morning.

The gym is very well equipped, perfect for a good workout.
And we were able to "work out" early in the morning
The gym is all you need whilst on the go.

Gym is also a reasonable size and well kitted out.
Sometimes this is the only option for exercise when travelling.
The gym is smallish but ok for my needs.

The gym has limited equipment to train our self.
Good gym with modern equipment and open 24 hours
Gym more set up for men than women.

And fitness room are available at all times.
The gym is nice and lots of equipment.
And I used their 24 hour gym twice.

I was able to use the gym
The gym is well equipped also.
There is a fitness center

And a gym.
Gym are great
A fitness

When we went to checkout, we were lucky there was another guest asking about carpark too. We overheard there was discounted parking voucher guests could buy for 36h ($27).
If you happen to be driving, parking coupon is not provided as the parking space belongs to the airport, so all parking are directly billed by the airport.
But its a pity that we were not able to get car park coupon as the parking is not under the hotel itself.

Also don't like the fact that there is no complimentary parking.
That overlooked the entrance to the parking garage.
No complimentary parking for those who drive though.

Just not over an active driveway. :-)

I didn't know you had a spa service ? is there in room massage service as well? it would be nice to have a massage after long flight.
Also there was no advice (prior to booking) that there were no spa facilities available.
Perhaps hot and cold tubs and a sauna would improve the experience?

As were the lack of alternative wellness/spa options.
The only thing missing is a sauna
And availability was very limited.

Great facilities with spa
Bath was great
