    Riverside location opposite Wat Arun is the standout: guests praise the views, gardens and unusual peace in the heart of Bangkok. Wat Pho, the Grand Palace and other Old Town sights are walkable, with a metro station and boat pier nearby. A recurring caveat is that the area can be quiet in the evening; riverboat noise and relatively high prices are also mentioned.

    The location is unique, right on the river (with Wat Arun directly opposite and the boat traffic in view) as well as optimally situated between the Grand Palace and Wat Pho; the Sanam Chai metro station is also very convenient!
    Excellent location. Close to the Palace and several temples. Near the metro and the water tram station. Within walking distance to the flower market and essentially Chinatown. An excellent place for city outings. The place is a hidden green oasis in the middle of the city.
    The general feeling was one of a resort in the countryside rather than in the middle of Bangkok a short walk from the Grand Palace and a Metro station.
    You should be aware though that this part of Bangkok is dead in the evening.

    The large apartment with a pool view where we stayed is generously designed in traditional Thai wooden construction and has its own terrace with very nice loungers.
    The River View Suite was especially wonderful and spacious.
    Whilst the lamps and lighting fixtures were very attractive at times the lighting was too dim to read or to look for items etc.
    the bathroom was in need of updating as the sink and bath were cracked which made it feel grubby.

    Breakfast is served to order on a purpose built covered restaurant pier over the river which has a stunning view of the fort and the temples across the river.
    I looked forward to breakfast each of the 3 mornings seated at my beautifully appointed private table for one facing Wat Arun each morning and dining on customized breakfast food options.
    The servings are generous, choices plenty and all was presented well, fresh and very tasty.
