    We booked a room for an adult couple and a child; we requested an additional bed for the child, but they were not willing to provide it and let him sleep on a couch that is one meter long.

    The hotel is exceptionally central for shopping, opposite Platinum and near Pratunam, Big C, CentralWorld and other malls within walking distance. However, surrounding roadworks, heavy traffic and construction noise repeatedly cause difficult taxi journeys, inconvenient walking and sleep disruption; the area can also feel empty late at night and is farther from historic attractions.

    The hotel is in a great location, opposite the Platinum Center and just a few meters from the Pratunam Market.
    The MBK shopping center is also within walking distance in 15 minutes via the sky walk (or by the hotel's free tuk tuk that departs at set times).
    If you take a taxi to go to the hotel, a journey that should take ten minutes takes 55 minutes.

    The front desk staff cannot do enough for you, holding bags if you have checked out, hailing taxis and tuktuks and negotiating for you.
    we did encounter one small issue with a strange smell in the corridor and our room, but the staff resolved it within minutes and moved us to a nicer room, which we loved.
    Room service was not up to the mark. Day 2, face towels were not provided. Day 3, hand towels went missing.
    Very difficult to explain to the staff they don’t understand what you are trying to say.

    the breakfast buffet was world class and had everything you could imagine , this was included with my hotel price and the variety was enormous.
    On the second day, we - and others - were sent to breakfast without reason from the 4th floor (great room and breakfast) to the 3rd floor (smaller room, not as nicely furnished, etc.).

    The lift system is not set up for high volume traffic. Doors close before guests can get in when it's crowded.
    Very clean and well kept.
    The shower and toilet in the room are really small and cramped. It's not fun to shower like this or sit on the toilet.
    And the hotel laundry is a scam; washing and ironing a dress costs 57 riyals, and a towel under the dress costs 13 riyals, and trousers cost 28 riyals—it's outrageous.

    The pool was cold, there were very few sun loungers, and overall very little sun (the sun only arrived around 2 PM in a small part of the pool area).
    The pool area on the 8th floor is luxurious, a spacious pool, there is a hot jacuzzi inside the changing rooms area.
    Unfortunately, there were no free sun loungers at any time of the day, even though there was enough space.
    Pool area needs upgrading, definitely not in line with the Amari level of quality.

    Getting a taxi is cheaper than a tuk tuk but if it takes just 15mins to drive it’ll take an hour to get there in taxi.
    There is a free hotel tuk tuk that has set drop-off points, remember to book a timeslot in advance.
    only thing I can think off is a confusing cab drop-off/pick-up with both a 'basement lobby' and 'ground floor lobby' and it was unclear when cars were routed to each.

    Also the gym attendant wasn't maintaining the place well that there were no more towels at 8am after workout.

    The spa was out of this world with one of the best massages I’ve had.
    I paid 4200 baht for an hour massage for me and my wife. And the quality of the massage was useless.
    Steam room had no water hose to wash off the seats which were full of bits of scrubbed skin.
    Massage appointments are always full.
