Repeated strengths are a clean, modern, relatively spacious hotel with quiet rooms, friendly attentive staff, excellent housekeeping, and a highly convenient Ginza location near shopping, transport, convenience stores, and the fish market. Breakfast and AC Kitchen are well regarded. Some guests find it pricey, while others criticize limited services, undisclosed policies, and unclear four- versus five-star positioning.

I point this out because they took the time to go through the different amenities and benefits during my stay; I usually have to initiate these questions, so I appreciate them being the first to bring it up.
You sell yourself as I five star hotel on booking.com and it’s written that you are 4 star on google maps- as a well known company how could it be possible?
This is essentially a self-service hotel with no bellboy assistance and no in-room dining, yet it is priced as a full-service property.

Marriott should ether correct the hotel and take care of it OR change the name and star gradation as soon as possible.
We really enjoyed our experience for staying at AC Holrel and sure we will come back again if possible to reserved 14th
Every evening the hotel offers small treats such as sweets, or little bags of lavender dried flowers, this is so special

The one thing is the hotel could have more restaurants information and offer to make reservations, especially for 1st time visitors.
Overall, the hotel is grossly overpriced for the extremely limited services provided and does not deliver value for the cost.
We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights and have nothing but positive things to say about our experience.

I hope the owner can consider to install some hooks/hanger in the toilet to hang the clothes while showering.
Looking at lt now staying with you for almost a week- I would really come back for breakfast only.
We were able to walk to the shopping areas, convenience stores, transportation stops, and the fish market, very convenient.

This is very much a no-frills hotel done right — clean, modern, efficient, and comfortable, without unnecessary fuss.
Thank you for making our holiday memorable and hope to stay at another AC Marriott in the future.
I love Tokyo and I understood that for this price and excellent location the service will be wow.

This is a great hotel, relatively spacious for Tokyo with clean, newish hardware and spotless cleaning.
My family and I enjoyed our five night stay in two rooms with the AC Hotel.
I was here for just one night, but I would love to stay here again.

Important hotel policies were not disclosed at the time of booking, which felt misleading.
I was quickly greeted by the front desk and recognized for my hotel status.
The location cannot be beat - a small city block away from Ginza 6.

Upon entering the hotel, you’re welcomed to a very modern and sleek lobby.
Overall: perfect room, amazing location, great nearby amenities, and outstanding service.
Price is a bit on the high side but worth it.

For our purpose, it was a great place to stay.
The hotel was beautiful, modern and very clean.
The hotel exceeded our expectations.

Repeatedly praised as an excellent, central Ginza base: near shopping streets, malls, restaurants, convenience stores, and several metro stations. Guests describe it as quiet despite the central setting, with taxis readily available outside. Haneda access is especially convenient, while Tokyo Station can be less practical by metro when carrying luggage.

I chose this hotel because of connecting rooms and have requested and communicated with the hotel many times even follow their guidance in choosing which type of rooms that are connected.
On the other hand, for Haneda airport, this hotel is perfect, only one block away to the station that connects directly to Haneda airport: 30 minutes ride, perfect.
VEry nice place, well located, if you want to be in Ginza for shopping, close to Tokyo station if you are walking, but not with suitcases.

We did hire a private driver for the day in Tokyo, which I think was better than cabs to all the places we wanted to go.
Easy access from Haneda airport to hotel only cost less than 500 yen and stop at higashi ginza and walk to hotel less than 5 mins.
Cab fare from the hotel to Tokyo Station is anywhere from 1200 to 1800 yen, and cabs are always available in front of the hotel.

Imperial Palace is also within walking distance, but the Kikyo-mon gate is on the other side, so a cab is not unreasonable in the summer.
It sits right off the main shopping street in Ginza, so you are just a stone’s throw from excellent shopping, dining, and transport.
Location: Very close, maybe 10-15 minute walk, to the main shopping areas in Ginza, and only a 15 minute walk to Tsukiji Market.

Yet, despite being so central, the hotel itself feels relatively quiet and calm, without crowds of tourists thronging the road right outside.
Fantastic location (just around the corner from the subway line and a couple minutes walk to the core of Ginza shopping, etc.,)
We chose this hotel because of its location in Ginza and because it would provide easy access to trains to Haneda airport.

There is lots of great shopping and dining in the area, and there are different train routes less than 10 minutes away.
Metro connection with Tokyo station is not good, we took UBER since with metro connection, walking was too much with suitcases.
Location is absolutely great as its in the heart of Ginza street and nearby 2 train stations within 3-5min walking distance.

Also very quick and easy to get an uber or taxi directly out the front of the hotel.
Essentials like Lawson, tax-free pharmacies, and Don Quijote were all within walking distance—everything we needed was right there.
This hotel is situated in a wonderful area for exploring the Ginza neighbourhood and beyond.

Elegant new hotel in a fabulous location - just a few minutes from the metro.
Location is closed to restaurants and shopping centre, and easy to get taxi.
There is a Lawsons at the next corner, which was very convenient.

There are a lot of restaurants and shops around the area.
The location is perfect with many restaurants around the area.
I only liked that it is well located.

All the flagship stores and boutiques are around.
Perfect place if you want to explore Ginza.
Location is good at heart of Ginza;

The location is perfect, at Ginza
Location is great, very near subway
Quiet although face main street.

Rooms: What guests say
View AC Hotel by Marriott Tokyo Ginza83 relevant reviews
Room feedback is mixed: many guests praise clean, modern, quiet, comfortable rooms and beds, with thoughtful amenities such as four daily water bottles, Nespresso machines, and abundant charging ports. Others find rooms small or poorly planned for luggage, with limited storage/hooks. The open bathroom/sink layout reduces privacy and ventilation; occasional odors, inconsistent housekeeping, and low-floor road noise are reported.

You do have to pay extra for the bigger room and hindsight we should have looked at the regular rooms while there so we would know when we get back, but we had two big suitcases, our backpacks, and 'stuff we buy', so...it was probably worth it to pay for the bigger rooms and honestly, it was still a bit tight for the room.
But to save money - and I can see it’s just saving money thing, not an eco saving planet thing- saving money on staff not to take care of the room every day- it’s a three star place.
I know this is very standard in Japan, but out of the 3 other hotels that I stayed during my trip, this was the most comprehensive amenities that were already in the room and regularly restocked.

The only odd layout was that the sink was in the same area as the bed, where you need to slide the closet door if you wanted a little more privacy in the bathroom area.
I was very impressed with the amenities - 4 complimentary water bottles in the room, fully stocked Nespresso machine, electric water kettle, toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, shaving cream, brush, cottons swabs, qtips, slippers and pajamas.
This might be the "AC" brand norm? but there is NO storage and NO hooks ( particularly problematic when they want you to reuse towels and only provide service after 3 days).

A decent sized room for Japan, fantastic location (just around the corner from the subway line and a couple minutes walk to the core of Ginza shopping, etc.,) and impeccably clean.
The only downside of the overall hotels in Japan is the room size, it is not big enough to open your suitcase but we enjoyed our stay overall.
A wall tv faces the bed, and theres a small nook area leaning against the window where you can sit, along with a small table and chair.

I had read about a lot of hotel rooms in Tokyo having hard beds, which I can't sleep on, so I was happy for that.
The room was modern, spotless, and thoughtfully equipped, with charging ports everywhere (bedside, desk, even near the sink), which made the stay incredibly convenient.
We received two very nice sunny rooms with city view, which allows morning sunshine coming through to the room, we enjoy it very much!

On the contrary, I found the water pressure and temperature of the shower excellent, making it a very enjoyable experience.
There is a separate area for the shower and toilet, however no enclosed private dressing area which is awkward.
We reserved a room with a view since he loves watching cars, and it was absolutely worth it.

The closet space wasn’t that big, so we mainly used the nook and shelves to place items.
The second room we were offered had a less strong smell that dissipated after airing it out.
Its great to return to this beautiful room every night after a long day of sightseeing.

We stayed for 5 nights but were given a level 3 room that faced the road.
And there is ONE small trash/recycle bin that is now overflowing after almost 3 days.
Our room was quite dark and looked into the wall of the building next door.

Beds were very comfortable, the rooms includes 4 free bottle of water every day.
Small room with no privacy between the bathroom and the sleeping area.
Hotel seems to be new as everything is in top notch condition.

Housekeeping does a stellar job in tidying up the rooms.
Rooms are cleaned daily if you need it to be.
The room was surprisingly quiet considering the busy location.

No double glazing on the windows facing the road.
Many times the room smelled a little strange.
New hotel, everything is brand new and clean.

Staff: What guests say
View AC Hotel by Marriott Tokyo Ginza70 relevant reviews
Most reviews describe friendly, welcoming, professional staff, with front-desk teams often accommodating taxis, reservations, early check-in, luggage, and room requests. Service was inconsistent, including rude or unhelpful individuals, ineffective or absent concierge support, limited English, and occasional housekeeping/privacy problems. Some Marriott members reported status-related treatment concerns and disputed late-checkout handling.

When I checked in with my 4 big suitcases he said we don’t have a concierge and turned his back on me to go back and check in waiting customer leaving me standing in the lobby with no help of getting my suitcases to my room and no instructions on where the lifts were or any assistance what so ever
I asked for help to book taxi to airport given I had an early flight, hotel staff Keisure-san said he can book but the fee is not by meter and he quoted a fee that is double the usual taxi fee to airport.
Finally, one of the channels which offered English audio was not working, but when I called hotel staff to tell them, they offered no help or their English seemed unable to explain how they can help.

Very respectable staff and they prepared all my check in procedures at the time I informed them I will arrive to speed up the check in process which is very welcoming after a long trip
Another star off for the housekeeping employee that rang the doorbell this morning at 10am and opened the door to come in before I had a chance to cross the room (In my underwear).
No concierge so when I emailed asking for help with restaurant reservations before arrival I received a response that they did not have a concierge and could not assist me with recommendations / bookings

Upon arrival this evening, we realized that she hadn't come in at all - I was hoping for new towels or at the very least to have the trash and recyclables emptied.
He really pushed me to upgrade saying this room is ready now and has high floor like you requested and nice view, or you wait a few hours and look at buildings
In the evening I went down to smoke, and the man at the bar judged me for coming down with flip-flops to the hotel. That was an unpleasant feeling.

The hospitality that we experienced in Japan was so lovely and beyond, that it was disappointing checking into the AC, and not having excellent customer service and hospitality.
I think it would have been better if the hotel staff had just offered me another room as it did put a dampener on the stay.
He placed me in a room at the far end of the corridor, which was far from the standard I would expect as a Marriott member.

When I requested a paid upgrade, he not only ignored my request but also treated me with indifference, assigning us to a rather uncomfortable room.
It was infuriating to overhear YUZI's colleague informing other guests that late check-outs were complimentary, while for me, it suddenly became subject to a charge.
At check-in, I communicated in English, and although the staff’s English proficiency was not perfect, they made a commendable effort to convey information clearly.

I found it unusual that they would not just give an elite member better treatment regardless of who they had booked through
Arranged and confirmed by book.com staff, months ahead to arrival for connecting rooms and this was not available on checking in.
Unfortunately, his attitude and service were far from the warm and professional standards that Marriott hotels are renowned for.

I hope the management remind the team to have consistency in the service approach among the staff.
Staff so smiley and upbeat made me feel so welcome and even happier to be there!
Other dealings I had with ladies on reception on departure were very nice and helpful

Shu-san really made sure that I was taken care of in every way.
The staff were incredibly kind, respectful, and attentive, especially with our son.
The staff I encountered during my stay were generally very polite.

There were no one to help with the luggage
Incredible dedicated staff for a wonderful hotel experience
The staff were also very nice and professional.

Non of your staff speak good English.
Concierge is helpful to get a taxi.
Staff was very attentive and friendly.

Breakfast: What guests say
View AC Hotel by Marriott Tokyo Ginza46 relevant reviews
Breakfast is generally praised for tasty Western and Japanese choices, early 6:30am service, omelette stations, allergy labeling, and complimentary grab-and-go coffee, croissants, and bananas. However, several guests found the buffet repetitive, limited, unimpressive, or overpriced; breakfast areas can be crowded, and takeaway provisions for early departures may be inadequate.

They told me they would packed bento meals to go, but the fact they only packed a couple of the night before bread and a yoghurt and a pack of apple juice, no hot drink was given or at least offered.
They do have grab and go which I believe is complimentary, and that would have been nice to know, although perhaps they could have told my husband as things get 'lost in translation'.
We had breakfast as a non-room guest and upon arrival we were told that the only seating available for us was over the counter despite there being many empty tables available.

The welcome gift only allowed me to choose breakfast for one day, which was slightly different from other Marriott properties where breakfast is provided for all nights of the stay.
It was only after we insisted on getting a table and that we shouldn't be treated as a "second-class" guests that she agreed to offer us a table.
Buffet Breakfast: My partner and I woke up very early on the first day, and quickly realized that many places do not open until 10am or later.

We paid for daily breakfast but because we needed to checked out early morning before the restaurant was opened, we requested to have breakfast to go.
The breakfast has very limited western options, and all the breads are kept in a seperate area so we didnt find them until last day.
Overall rating is dropped due to the breakfast which is not what you would expect from a five star hotel at that high price point.

We were advised that these tables were "reserved" for hotel in-room guests and that the venue will be busy later in the morning.
Luckily, the hotel started breakfast at 6:30am and we were VERY impressed with both the Western and Japanese options that were available.
Hotel offers complimentary coffee, croissants and bananas in the morning for those who do not have breakfast included to their stays.

The restaurant breakfast was excellent with many choices of both Asian and Western breakfast staples and a changing variety each day.
I do not advise to book rooms with breakfast and just opt to explore what Ginza street has to offer.
While the selection wasn’t extensive, there were still plenty of options, and the offerings catered well to international tastes.

And we also love the grab and go breakfast, the treats and lavender bags, they were all very thoughtful!
The breakfast was busy and crowded, and the staff had a hard time keeping food available as a result.
Hotel breakfast was ard 5,000 yen per adult and there were 4 of us, given child meal food.

We had breakfast included which was very good and convenient considering most places don't open until 11am.
Breakfast was excellent, offering both Western and Japanese options, and even our 3-year-old had plenty of choices.
There are so many choices that you won’t be disappointed paying the premium price for it.

The breakfast is a bit on the lighter side esp compared to the Courtyard next door.
I personally think it was the most food options I ever encountered on the hotel breakfast.
We loved the daily breakfast at the hotel - wonderful offerings for a Western style breakfast.

Before this, we were in other hotels and really struggled with food for our child.
Very thoughtful of them to offer free coffee and pastries in the morning.
This Aloft is better than most because it serves a proper breakfast.

The breakfast catered to both Eastern and Western tastes.
Free coffee and croissants are served in the morning.
It's very nice to relax here with children.

Facilities: What guests say
View AC Hotel by Marriott Tokyo Ginza30 relevant reviews
The modern, clean property has spacious rooms, comfortable beds, generous amenities, free water, quick quiet elevators, and a guest rooftop with ample seating. However, lower-floor rooms may face a wall, the gym is small and poorly monitored, and there are no guest laundry facilities, concierge, bell, or meal room service. Housekeeping ends at 4 p.m., and rooftop access may be unreliable.

I could not access anything up on the roof terrace - both doors were locked, so although this is advertised as available to guests, I could not figure out how to enjoy the roof terrace.
We got buckets of ice every evening at the bar and ice was still in in there the next morning, it had melted some but not all of it.
Check out gym - no one takes care of it, no one in spot to check how clean it is and how up to date it is.

They replenish the water very well, if you run out of the day's supply you can ask for more and a robot brings it to you.
They had a kettle for hot water and tea (coffee, although we don't drink it), water, lots of toiletries, and umbrellas at the door for use.
A very serious incident was handled by sending the head of staff to our room who wanted us to explain what happened and apologized.

The lobby is very small, there is no place to sit in the evening, just something at the bar, excellent hotel for sleeping only.
This hotel is located in the middle of two other Marriott properties giving you the option to take advantage of the other hotel amenities.
Electronic plug point! I'm from Malaysia and staying in this hotel I do not need to carry international plug which is wonderful!

Elevators are quick, very little waiting and weirdly quiet so not a big deal having a room by them.
We finally found an open suitcase with some of the items inside on the floor, not even folded.
They sent me to a "nearby" laundromat that ended up being about 1.5 miles away and not convenient.

There is an area in the lobby where you can rest and stay while waiting to check in.
Hotel is clean, nice, welcoming, coffee and croissant in the lobby every morning is a nice touch
They didnt have a proper Bell Service to help with the luggages to bring to the room.

The rooms are very large, although up to the tenth floor they literally face a wall.
The lounge was great because... we found the lounge a good place to rest and work.
We had problems during our stay that were not managed as they should have been.

The hotel has a laundry service, but it is not available from Saturday to Monday.
I cut my foot on the shower door and they didn't even have disinfectant.
The property has a rooftop that’s thankfully open to all guests, regardless of age.

Unfortunately there were no washer/dryers for guest use, unlike most other hotels in Tokyo.
Do not have proper drop off area. Having difficulty to drop luggage when arrival;
The structure is very beautiful, it meets the standards of a 5-star Marriott.

It was nice, fancy looking, breakfast was good, nice looking bar.
We paid extra for upgrades that were not worth it.
The hotel itself is nothing special, however.

Housekeeping is available till 4pm everyday!
Free water was very nice.
No room service for meals.

I requested for high floor when I booked 3 months ago but Staff said hotel was fully booked when I checked in and put me on 3/F.
Certainly not the omotenashi I was expecting based on previous visits, even though the gentleman who checked me in seemed to be a senior staff member.
They prepared all my check in procedures at the time I informed them I will arrive to speed up the check in process

That’s a rarity in JP as most will make you wait untill the official check in time even if the room is ready!
They wanted to charge half a day's fee for trying to check in a couple of hours early.
In fact, a question on upgrade seemed to be somewhat dismissively swatted away with a half smirk.

Did not offer Bonvoy check-in and miles, saying 'you booked through booking.com that's why' . Embarassing
When we checking in the men served with some attitude which made a not pleasant hospitality.
During my check-in process, I encountered an individual named YUZI at the front desk.

However to my dissapointment, the connecting rooms were not available upon check in.
When we asked for a late checkout as we had a late flight.
But this time a bit let down by the check in experience.

No recognition of Bonvoy elite status either through greeting or upgrade.
Even let me check in a few hrs early.

Restaurant: What guests say
View AC Hotel by Marriott Tokyo Ginza9 relevant reviews
The restaurant receives praise for tasty, well-prepared food and a broad local and international selection, but dinner choices can be limited. The main recurring issue is very early closing, typically 8:30–9:30 PM, with strict admission cutoffs. Guests also report no room service, occasional slow dinner service, and insufficient salad or vegetable options.

It is so early and at that day when I was waiting to go the hotel to eat , I took the news from the reception that the restaurant is closed.
This is very typical of Japan, but considering it is an international chain, we thought it would be managed like in all other parts of the world.
The restaurant and buffet hours are not western (they close very early - the last dinner order is at 9:30 PM) and are adhered to obsessively.

The dinner food choices at the in-hotel restaurant are limited to Spanish tapas, and typical Spanish dishes, which are tasty and well-prepared.
Felt service at dinner was particular slow when I only one of the only handful of patrons dining there that evening.
The restaurants and bar closes very early 8.30pm and there is no room service.

The restaurant should have at least a salad option for dinner, and more vegetables.
We arrived at 9:35 PM and they didn't let us in.
Very good and wide choice of local food and international.

The bar downstairs and restaurant were just perfect.
It messed up my whole day .
The cook was very caring

There is no room service.
Good food at the restaurant.
The restaurant with limited food.

The restaurant close @21:00
Great taste
