Reviews overwhelmingly praise the convenient Asakusa location, spacious clean rooms, helpful staff, excellent breakfast and restaurants, and memorable Skytree or temple views. Families find it comfortable and welcoming, with many repeat guests. Recurring reservations include that some rooms lack the expected tower view, while some guests feel service and standards fall below five-star expectations.

We booked that hotel partly because there is a bar on the top floor with a beautiful view; on the first night we went there at 10 PM, but the bar was already closed; on the second day we went at 8 PM, but we were rather aggressively denied entry because there was a private party going on...
There is so much potential for this hotel but I felt they were not upfront about the conditions and restrictions until after I booked when They proceeded to send me emails about all the thing offered that were now not happening.
The only thing to criticize is that a hotel of that magnitude does not have a room prepared for people with disabilities; they only provide a chair for bathing, which is not suitable for a person in a wheelchair.

It’s still a really nice hotel but for the price you’re paying it would make sense for those small things to be updated as cheaper business hotels nearby are offering those things.
The hotel is the so dirty and upto 15th floor you can smell cigarettes in case the lift stops at one of those floors.
I am guessing that they were severely impacted by the pandemic, but I do not feel the price to value was accurate.

We had to just use the TV as a background noise flipping through the few channels they had available.
WOW, WOW, WOW and THANK YOU very much for a completely amazing stay at your hotel 🤩😊🙏
A one minute local call to book a restaurant from the fixed phone was 2 USD extra.

We would definitely return if in Tokyo again and will recommend it to friends and family.
Now, this was our second stay at the hotel, however, we won't be coming back again.
Could have found a better hotel after all the extra charge was taken into consideration.

It’s on the pricey side but worth the stay for the view & comfort.
Thank you for making the beginning and end to our adventure so relaxing.
In general, the hotel is far from the standards of a 4-star establishment.

What a wonderful hotel with great views, comfortable stay and great restaurants.
Other than that, it's all I can criticize about this exceptional hotel.
Overal, highly recomended if we choose to stay in Asakusa area.

It's a great hotel, but the prices are a tad high.
We stayed for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
I've yet to have a bad stay at this property.

Overall fine and a good location, just nothing special particularly.
We had a lovely stay, the hotel is fabulous.
This hotel is amazing - with a massive caveat.

Comfortable and accessible but could be better with services.
I was deceived! That's all I have to say.
We had to turned off and opened the windows

The food was delicious, thank you very much.
You have to pay for the swimming pool.
A hotel I would want to revisit repeatedly.

Rooms: What guests say
View Asakusa View Hotel728 relevant reviews
Rooms are repeatedly praised for cleanliness, comfort, generous space by Tokyo standards, quality bedding, and spectacular Tokyo Skytree or city views, especially from executive rooms on upper floors. Recurring drawbacks include dated furnishings, occasional musty smells, small rooms or bathrooms, limited luggage storage, and missing bedside outlets or in-room coffee facilities.

The room is old and dirty, the carpet was full of stains, the small sofa next to the window was the same, and the bedspreads were also very dirty and served as blankets....this is not worthy of a supposed 4 stars.
Additionally, on the night we stayed there, I felt scared because very strong winds were blowing outside, and the windows on the 14th floor rattled from the wind, with something creaking and grinding from all sides.
The view from our room was directly across the Skytree (only the top half is visible but its still was a treat to wake up to during sunrise or enjoy at night.

They gave us two cards and an extra paper card that you could leave on the little slot as soon as you open the door to keep the electricity running.
The room is oke size , bed is very comfortable, bed sheet is very crisp, love it, and we can see the nice scenery from the huge window.
After the hotel rooms were renovated, they are modern, clean and have a perfect view of the Asakusa temple, Tokyo Skytree or Asahi Beer hall (golden poop).

Cooling is through cold water and they turn the boilers on so it’s better to turn off the airflow at 8pm so you don’t get cooked.
At the front desk, I was told, 'It's a larger room than the one you reserved,' so I had high expectations, but it was just normal.
I upgraded to deluxe but the quality of the room was clearly worse than the standard room I stayed in before. The upgrade was pointless.

Every day from before 9 AM to after 3 PM, lots of cleaning trolleys in the hallway in front of and to the room.
And when I told the front desk that I had a reservation for a non-smoking room, they were able to change it for me.
I had paid a single supplement but was allocated a room which was so small that I had nowhere to put my luggage.

Water tap in the sink is tripping , temperature is hot, can not adjust , can’t sleep till 2am as too hot.
The view of the Sky Tree, because I had requested a room on that side, a slightly more spacious room, good bed
Big room as a Japanese hotel in big city, nicely designed, a lot of storage places and enough outlets for usb-c.

I have asked if the smoking room had a bad smell and the hotel informed me, not. However it was awful!!
When we stayed, we wanted our room temp to be about 66-68 for cool sleeping; however, hotel is set on heat.
The only Cons is the bathing area is too small and there is no room for hanging towels not storage.

You couldn't even wash your hands in the bathroom, only discreetly in the hotel room in front of other guests.
The bathroom was a bit small and the beds were hard for me.... but it didn't spoil my enjoyment.
We liked the spacious room and view over the Sky tree tower, very clean and good supplies of toiletries

The room was for four people, and it felt cramped, making it dangerous as I could trip over things.
I believe it was just an oversight during the room cleaning, but it made me feel very uncomfortable.
We had a wonderful stay at the Asakusa Hotel, our room faces the Tokyo Skytree, a beautiful view.

We were accidentally booked into a smoking room and the hotel was very accommodating to get us moved.
I booked a standard room, but the bathroom photo posted is different from reality. When I told the front desk, they said to talk to Booking because it was a reservation made through them. I did, but after about two hours of waiting, I couldn't get in touch with the hotel. Indeed, the bathroom was different from the photo, but Booking is just a platform that gets the information from the hotel, and since the photos and information are provided by the hotel, nothing ultimately changed.
I booked a triple room with a view of the Taipei 101, but the room's facilities are quite old. The sink and bathtub in the bathroom have slow water flow, and the sink is clogged. The dust cover of the hairdryer inlet is covered in dust, resulting in very little airflow, and the filter of the air purifier is also covered in dust.

Wow, when we returned to the room at eight in the evening, not only was the door left open, but the window was wide open as well, and it was still broken 🥲... In the end, we had to wait until almost nine for someone to come and fix it, and there was no other assistance provided...
There were stains in the bathtub, stains on the sofa, the wall was peeling, and I couldn't see the Tokyo Skytree properly (I don't think there was any indication that the lower floors wouldn't have a view). There was also no outlet next to the bed (even though it stated there would be one near the bed).
Next, we entered the room and saw that the staff had prepared a baby crib for our little one (I had inquired beforehand if the hotel could provide this). It wasn't just an ordinary playpen but a wooden crib, and they even set up a super comfortable mattress and towels. We're truly grateful for this!

Location: What guests say
View Asakusa View Hotel708 relevant reviews
The hotel is repeatedly praised for its excellent Asakusa location: steps from Senso-ji, shops, restaurants, supermarkets and attractions, with several stations nearby. Views of the temple, pagoda and Tokyo Skytree are a standout. Transit to Shinjuku and Shibuya can take time, and station access varies by line.

Very close to the metro, shopping, restaurants, a market, shrine and the Tokyo Skytree, but also much more relaxing than other areas in Tokyo so it was always great to come back at the end of the day.
Note also that there are multiple Asakusa stations so it is closer to the Tsukuba Express line and not all the metro lines which go to a station further away.
The city is known for its hectic pace and massive scale, and the Asakusa area -while busy- still has many streets and shops with a neighborhood feel to them.

Excellent area with numerous cafes and restaurants to suit every taste, also small shopping centers, a park for children, and a river nearby, perfect for a walk.
The location is brilliant - so close to all the sightseeing in Asakusa and not too far from the metro line (max 10 min walk).
This is a brilliant location with an amazing view onto Skytree Tower on one side and Mt Fuji on clear days on the other.

I didn’t realise how big Tokyo is so note that it can take a while to get to Shinjuku and Shibuya from here.
Location 2 minutes' walk from Senso-ji Temple - 8 minutes' walk from the Ginza Line subway that serves Ueno, Ginza, Shibuya, among others.
The hotel is in a very good location, walking only 5mins to Asakusa main travel point, and a lot restaurants nearby.

The highlight is that the view from the Tokyo Skytree is really amazing; the high floor views are definitely worth it.
This is a beautiful hotel and a fantastic location with an easy walk to all the attractions in the area.
The metro (Asakusa Line) is a 10-minute walk away, and restaurants, 7-Eleven, Lawson, etc. are just a stone's throw away!

It was easy to navigate around the city, with convenient access to the subways just a short walk away.
Gazing upon the iconic landmark from the comfort of one's room adds a touch of magic to the stay.
One downside is the Orange Ginza line station was a little bit farther walking than red Asakusa station.

Asakusa is the old center of Tokyo, but it is about forty minutes from Shibuya and Shinjuku.
Many restaurants and shopping options in the immediate vicinity, as well as subway stations within walking distance.
The nightlife is always bustling and we were able to catch the samba festival during the day.

Great location to visit the temple, with train station and a capibara cafe very near by.
Very convenient location when you want to see the Senso-ji Temple, Asakusa Shrine, Nakamise Shopping Street.
This was a really great location in terms of surrounding shops, restaurants and the local sights.

The window view is awesome! face Tokyo skytree and it is so stunning at night.
The Asakusa area is very crowded with tourists, too many people making the places unpleasant
The view of the Tokyo Skytree was right in front and the location was good.

Good location, but otherwise I would avoid, expensive & short staffed for the offer.
The location was perfect - the room was spacious and very clean - the breakfast buffet restaurant had a very nice view and the dishes offered were very good - a very good hotel for one night in Tokyo - the luggage storage was very convenient - the hotel offered us an upgrade for the room.
In Shinjuku or Shibuya, there are many people even at night, so it was okay to walk alone even late at night, but here the surroundings get dark with all the lights off around 9 or 10 PM, so it's a bit scary to walk aloneㅠㅠ

Save your money and get a better room at a cheaper hotel - with the $100-150 you will save you can take your entire family up the skytree for a better view and have money leftover not have to stay in this crappy hotel.
The street that the hotel is located on could be seen as not family friendly of a night time due to the multiple gentleman’s clubs but as long as you cross over the road and head towards the temple area, it’s fine.
Location: the hotel is 1.1 km from the Asakusa station accessible by several lines included in the tourist pass (and coming from Narita); the one at the foot of the hotel has the same name but is on an uninteresting line.

Staff: What guests say
View Asakusa View Hotel483 relevant reviews
Staff are consistently described as exceptionally friendly, professional, attentive, and helpful, with efficient luggage handling, airport transfers, early check-in, and personalized care. A standout account praises compassionate medical assistance and waived charges. Isolated concerns include rushed dinner service, limited English among some staff, centralized air-conditioning restrictions, and a denied request for buffet bread.

When we asked the staff if we can change to a non smoking room because of the bad smell, he told is that all the rooms were sold out while the online booking shows the non smoking room for the days we stay were on sale.
Even more considerate was her initiative to allow us to delay our checkout, understanding our chaotic emotions, and even showing compassion for our situation by waiving the compensation fee for dirty bed linens.
I waited for about 5 minutes and then after she had helped the other customer she came back and all she had to do was hand me my keys.

The manager would respond to my messages eventually but never answered my calls and sometimes took hours to respond when I needed help with a situation.
Luckily on the second day after waiting 30 minutes to check in again, we had a non Japanese employee who actually cared to do something.
We speak only some Japanese, but our experience was wonderful and the staff were able to communicate with us despite our limited Japanese.

Whether it's the luggage delivery or the 5 AM taxi to the airport, the staff is efficient, attentive, and very friendly
I had accidentally booked a smokers room and staff were able to switch me to a non-smokers room without issue.
We felt really warmly welcomed every time we stepped foot out of the room or back into the hotel.

Everything: the location, the room, the staff, the breakfast, the dinner at the French Restaurant, the launch services.
The staff member was very kind during the room assignment, and it left a lasting impression on me.
We wasted all the night dealing with the issue that was caused not due to our responsibility.

Therefore, I had to give up on staying during the fireworks festival, which is a pity.
The staff had to come and assist so why not pay at the front desk?
The staff is exceptionally efficient, friendly and polite and our stay was most enjoyable.

Such a higher end hotel, they way they treat my feedback was very disappointing.
We would especially like to highlight Ms. Kitamura, who assisted us upon arrival.
A rating to the staff at the reception desk, they are truly amazing.

The little touches such as the extensive toiletry kit only made it better.
All the staff were exceptional and took care of all our needs.
Clumsy, untrained and cleanliness not as good as we encountered throughout Japan.

However there are great convenience stores close by and next door.
Pool staff and bar staff were also very rude to foreigners.
Everyone is very kind and hard working on your staff.

The staff were excellent - very friendly, polite and efficient.
However, when I asked for corn soup with one hand, Mr. Tanaka quickly came over to serve it. At checkout, when I mentioned the bathroom issue, the female staff member at the front desk took responsibility and sincerely apologized for not being able to confirm it correctly at the hotel. Although I couldn't catch her name, I appreciate her response.
I booked a standard twin room, more than twenty square meters, without a view of the Skytree. He switched the concept and told me he had given me a Skytree view room, but did not inform me that the window was small, only 2*2, a square, and looking out to the left is a thick wall.

The staff was very agreable and although the hotel was very inflexible about early or late check in/out there is a really useful luggage locking room they allowed me to use up to very late the night I was leaving as my flight was at midnight and my check out at 12 noon.
Staff wasted time with constant bowing and holding open entrance doors (automatic doors!) and elevators, while the staff responsible for cleaning the rooms was too few and slow: by 4:00 PM the rooms were still not cleaned, and the corridors were filled with dirty sheets, like in a disorganized bazaar (see photo).
There are Chinese-speaking staff at the front desk, but when guests need Chinese services, the staff members asked mostly do not proactively suggest that a Chinese-speaking staff member take over, simply responding with 'no Chinese' and waiting for the guests to continue communicating in English or Japanese. This needs improvement.

Breakfast: What guests say
View Asakusa View Hotel337 relevant reviews
Breakfast is repeatedly praised as abundant, delicious, and exceptionally varied, combining Japanese, Asian, Western, American, vegetarian, and freshly prepared dishes, with 26th-floor views of Tokyo Skytree. Recurring drawbacks include a 9:30 AM closing time, high pricing, long queues, overcrowding and noise, occasional repetitive menus, and inconsistent quality.

The url they give you to confirm whether they’ll even let you in to breakfast said "We are unable to accept any additional guests at the moment" - that was the message from 7am - 9am (last entry is 930am) but when i went up to check at 915am it was practically empty so that was really frustrating.
For those who do not like to wake up early for the hotel breakfast, it is very convenient; you can sleep in a bit later, take the elevator down to the first floor to buy delicious bread and snacks, then take them back to the hotel to eat while enjoying the beautiful view.
The breakfast enjoyed the next morning in the 26th-floor sky restaurant featured a variety of exquisite and delicious dishes. The best part was being able to enjoy the food while admiring the view of Asakusa City and the magnificent Tokyo Skytree, making for a top-notch visual and culinary experience.

However, in this hotel and the other hotels I stayed at for 3 nights, it was hard to find raw seafood in the breakfast, and I wonder if that's the recent trend.
The beautiful view of the Skytree from the room as well as from the superb breakfast room, which is quite exceptional with a more than varied choice!
In addition to rooms, restaurant for breakfast is also located in higher floor with good view, that give me a good start in the morning.

The view of the Skytree from the 26th floor breakfast venue was great, and the quality and quantity of the breakfast menu were good.
Measures should be taken such as starting earlier, providing a non-buffet format for students, or informing guests about the crowding at check-in.
As well as the fantastic breakfast, with both Western and Japanese options that you can enjoy on the 26th floor.

After my wife placed her first omelet order at the egg station, the cook remembered exactly what she liked.
During breakfast at Musashi, even though there were available tables, the one I was shown to was the worst.
Everything: the location, the room, the staff, the breakfast, the dinner at the French Restaurant, the launch services.

The breakfast offers a variety of excellent dishes with a very nice view (located on the 26th floor).
The executive floor breakfast variety is not up to expectations (only yogurt, hard boiled eggs and croissant)
The breakfast is good but has little variety; if you stay many days, it's always the same.

I like the breakfast where the seating is so comfortable and the food is really good.
Breakfast was delicious, with a large enough selection to satisfy everyone in our family.
Even if you aren’t a big breakfast eater, it is worth doing the buffet.

The breakfast was world-class, people from most cultures can find 'their' breakfast here.
Breakfast was okay, but not very special regarding the croissants and breakfast pastries
The dinner hours are short, and we were always out too late.

The breakfast was delicious, and there were many options to choose from.
Breakfast unfortunately always overcrowded, queuing in the morning is no fun.
We got the breakfast buffet included in the price per night.

The breakfast buffet was okay but also very, very crowded.
Outstanding breakfast also with a great view over the city.
We had booked breakfast and that was very good.

Breakfast options had vegetarian breakfast options for Indians.
Breakfast was very good with lots of options.
Nice breakfast, good view of Asakusa and skytree

Facilities: What guests say
View Asakusa View Hotel217 relevant reviews
Facilities are often praised as clean, attractive, functional, and extensive, with striking rooftop views, varied buffet, lounges, gym, pool, laundry, and thoughtful amenities. However, pool access can be expensive or restricted, executive lounges may offer limited food, the gym is sparsely equipped, some facilities are dated or under renovation, and heating or air-conditioning controls can frustrate.

As for the club lounge wish it can be of a buffet treat for guest and indulge with free flow of drinks coffee snacks and it will be much better as they spent and upgraded to the club lounge shld have wider selectionfor buffet and lots of hotels provide this service around the world and guest can enjoy as well but pay extra esp for business chat etc.
It was a slightly chilly day. Even though I had turned on the heating, I was told that the air conditioning for the entire building operates automatically, so when I switched it on after the warmth of the day, it turned to cooling, and I became very cold.
The dining and bar facilities were either closed earlier than we expected or would not accept us because they were full - The Ice Bar - at about 2100 hrs on Saturday night and when we dined on two nights we could not order later than 2000 hrs.

The pool and fitness center have hours that are only useful for those staying more than one night (in the morning it is closed from 9 to 12, and if you check out, you cannot access the pool) and they cost about €20 per person.
Executive lounge. Very little was offered (minimal snacks) and you couldn't help yourself to snacks, as is usually the case in other lounges, but they were served to the table.
When my father, who has dementia, went out into the hallway, the elevator's security system (card key system) was able to prevent him from moving between floors.

Cafe on ground level was closed which was disappointing but could be due to Cover and Japan's tourism industry getting back on its feet.
The pool looks amazing but it was not free and the upcharge was not inexpensive if you just wanted a quick dip.
We appreciated the strong water pressure in the shower, and the A/C worked perfectly during our stay in April 2026.

I liked the fact that they had a gym, which was uncommon during my stays in other Tokyo hotels.
A lounge is basically to enjoy this moment of luxuries and pamper by the fine buffet as well.
The swimming pool is incredibly expensive even for hotel guests and the standard is from the 80s.

Bar closing times at 9pm. When we got there at 8.40pm we were asked to leave.
Quite clean for a hotel with a history (except one thing - see "didn't like").
The share areas look a bit tired, mainly because the carpets are very old.

No complimentary services like a lounge (no services for executive room guests either)
There’s no facilities that can be used as everything is on renovation.
Never experienced such a limit on hotel amenities before like this.

The hotel also had the laundry room in the 5th floor.
The new coin laundry was great and easy to use.
Didnt like the central heating. Could not adjust room temperature

Also the lounge is not worth the extra cost.
Everything was very clean and the lobby is beautiful.
They have a very handy self luggage storage system,

I felt that the cleaning was a bit insufficient.
There are many elevators, so it's not too crowded
Lots of amenities (which we did not use)

There is even a bakery and sweets shop.
I wish these things were more clear.
- Possibility to store luggage for free

Pool: What guests say
View Asakusa View Hotel100 relevant reviews
The 20m indoor pool is clean, relaxing, and unusual for central Tokyo, with towels, caps, and a spa bath. However, repeated complaints cite a substantial per-person fee, typically ¥3,000–3,300, advance reservations, limited hours, tattoo restrictions, and strict children’s access rules; some guests found it old or poorly maintained and booking information unclear.

However, when we went for a swim, we were told it costs 3300 yen per person to use. very expensive and misleading as no one told us it’s an extra cost even when we checked in and asked about the swimming pool hours.
The information was inaccurate, as we found shortly upon arrival that per gym and pool policy, only those with annual memberships can use the facilities (so pretty much only locals had access to these amenities; no foreign guests or tourists allowed)
There were a lot of families in the hotel and restricting access is a great shame, it's also not clear that that's the case - we had packed our swimming costumes and were very much looking forward to the pool.

We had been really looking forward to swimming with the amazing view, only to find out that we had to pay an extra charge of about $25 per person per day, and the pool had very limited hours.
The pool, which is well-highlighted on the booking site as part of the hotel's services, is accessible for a fee of 3300 yen per person per entry, it's unfortunate that hotel guests do not benefit from complimentary access.
The pool, which features in the hotel advertising, is not available to guests without a further payment of around $30,000JPY per day (not sure but I think it was limited to an hour or so a day).

When we arrived we found that children under 13 years old can only use the pool during July and August (and there was a Y3,300 charge per person to use the pool).
Pool (the hotel was chosen for this): 30,000 Y - 20€ - to access every time!!! So we did not go there and it is always empty (visible from our room).
Then on the last attempt, we were told our kids were too young. (7 and 5, so families beware if you are booking this hotel for kids to swim in)

After having a coffee in the lounge we tried again and asked if perhaps we go to the swimming pool while we waited for our room to be ready.
Please note that the pool is paid, the cost of admission for myself and a child is about $40. The pool is clean, they provide towels and caps.
The pool was old, poorly maintained, the windows were dirty (hard to see the view of the city!), it looked like a municipal pool built in the 80s.

Otherwise, there seems to be a pool, but there are no indications on how to get there or what the additional costs for its use might be.
3500 yen to swim for each hotel guess, booked because it had a pool 7000 yen for me and my daughter to have a swim
It would have been nice if use of the pool was cheaper, but we did enjoy relaxing in it after the long flight.

Pool available only for a fee and expensive: this is the first time this has happened to me anywhere in the world!
The pool operating signs were inconsistent in hrs so we missed on the 3 occasions after reading signs and asking staff.
Unfortunately we were not able to use the swimming pool due to our tattoos so that was a little disappointing.

The pool is not very modern, the entrance fee is expensive, and you have to wear swim caps.
Extremelly disappointed to discover that children aren't allowed in the pool - please rethink this policy.
The pool is not accessible to people with tattoos or to children from 6 PM.

The fact pool use was advertised was part of why we chose to stay there.
One of the only one with a lanes swimming pool in Tokyo downtown
They advertised a pool which we took because we were traveling with kids.

Didn't like the idea of paying extra to use the swimming pool.
You have to pay $35 each ,everyday to use the pool 😳
The pool and gym area were already closed at 9 PM.

Disappointing as the pool was the main reason we booked.
I chose the hotel mainly for the swimming pool.
The swimming pool costs extra and we were unaware

Check-in / Check-out: What guests say
View Asakusa View Hotel99 relevant reviews
Check-in is consistently strict at 3:00 PM; early access is often refused or charged even when rooms are ready, though luggage storage is a useful workaround. The noon checkout is repeatedly praised, and post-checkout baggage storage helps late departures. Checkout is usually quick via machines, but some guests prefer human assistance and report occasional billing or service confusion.

On the morning of our departure, my husband went to pick up a rental car very early, and we had to check out, but my husband was not allowed to park the car at the front door to load the luggage; instead, he had to go to the parking garage for half an hour to collect the luggage and check out.
There was no information in the form of a guest book in the room in English with practical information about the hotel. and the staff we checked in with could not speak English and therefore we did not receive any information about the hotel unless we asked ourselves!
The check in process overly complicated you check in with a person then you have to get the card by a machine, can't use tap and go have to use actual credit card and can't just charge the credit card on file used to reserve the booking.

Although the hotel was very inflexible about early or late check in/out there is a really useful luggage locking room they allowed me to use up to very late the night I was leaving as my flight was at midnight and my check out at 12 noon.
Checked in at three in the afternoon. The hotel said they would help carry our luggage to the room, but when we returned at eight in the evening, not only was the door 'unlocked', but it was also not even secured with a chain.
Even for that half hour, we had to pay parking fees, namely 1200 yen (7 euros). We don't find that very service-oriented considering we stayed for 2 nights, and we also think the price per night is overrated compared to the quality.

It is proper to charge full to the credit card if the guest fails to turn up. But why the advance charge, giving the guest no chance to pay by cash at the property and no chance to make any changes???
When I checked in, the front desk staff saw that I was traveling alone and asked if it was okay to just have one card to avoid losing one and having to pay for it; I agreed to this plan.
While I was still getting ready before checkout, the cleaning staff suddenly came in, possibly mistaking my room, which was a surprise... They apologized and closed the door, but... I wonder why they made that mistake...

- I was waiting in line for check-in. I'm not sure if the staff at the check-in counter was dealing with paperwork or was off-duty, but there was someone who kept looking down the whole time.
We reached before the check in time since we checked out early from disneyland hotel and we were given a trollery to carry the luggage into to the hotel lobby from the taxi drop off point.
Moreover, on the morning of checkout, we needed to leave the hotel very early and we were not allowed to have anything for breakfast, even though it had been paid for that morning as well.

I saw reviews that said check-in takes a while, so I lined up in front of the front desk a little before 3 PM, and by 5 minutes before, there was a long line.
The next day, after breakfast, the hallway was in the same state. It was very disappointing to see the condition of the hallway on the executive room floor.
We don't understand why the staff checking us in (verifying our passports, etc.) at the physical check-in counters could not just give us our room keys.

Just said an amount owed, I had to then convince him to provide a bill, that I would like to check, then will pay.
I was ready to give them my card information but they said $ would need to be sent to their bank account.
It was great that the checkout time was at noon, allowing me to spend my time leisurely this time.

When queried, the front desk said they could not reverse the charges as they were made by Booking.com.
Difficult to find the reception, little staff in the entrance area who could guide and receive us.
When we check in in the morning . We can leave our luggage in their cloackroom.

Since check-out was at 12:00, I was able to relax in my room until 10:30.
Went specifically to check for me when I asked about it at check in.
There was a long line for check-in. Some measures need to be taken.

Instead, they sent us to these digital check-in kiosks which were malfunctioning.
It might be better to check in while avoiding this time frame...
When we were doing check in.. so many guests running around.

We were able to leave our luggage and backpacks before check-in.
Reception check out was an issue with the night reception.
There is a self-checkout machine, making the payment process easy.

Restaurant: What guests say
View Asakusa View Hotel84 relevant reviews
Hotel dining is strongest for varied breakfasts, good buffet selection, bakeries, and higher-floor restaurants or bars with exceptional city and Skytree views. Repeated drawbacks include expensive or disappointing buffet meals, sometimes cold food, abrupt service, short opening hours, limited capacity, and closures or full bookings; guests may need nearby alternatives.

We arrived at 8:35 PM and the first thing they told us was that we were a bit late to order dinner. The man at the bar did not seem very happy that we were going to have dinner because the restaurant was rather empty and he looked like he wanted to go home.
I heard that the prices were high due to the New Year because they put more effort into the meals, but in return, there were no steak dishes and the dessert selection was poor, so it was not worth it at all.
On the day of the visit, they arranged a table where the Skytree was visible in front of us, and all six of us were able to enjoy our meal while watching the colors of the Skytree change.

You paid 3 or 4 times more for a beer than usually and in addition there’s is a cover charge as well, so you easily end up by 40€ for 2 people with just 2 beers.
The service was quite poor, zero interest, the quality of the dinner was nothing special, and to top it off, at 9:22 PM they were giving us the bill without us having asked for it.
I ventured into the lobby lounge one afternoon for a cappuccino and was astonished at the outrageous 1200 yen price (just about everywhere else in town the price is between 550 and 650 yen).

They do use the hotel for weddings so all restaurants may not be available which is a disappointment because we paid quite a bit for the room expecting to have access to those amenities.
We had dinner at the Chinese restaurant on the 27th floor, and since the customers were foreigners, we requested a table where they could see the Tokyo Skytree as well as possible.
It seems that the increase in traditional New Year dishes contributed to this, but there was nothing in the New Year dishes that I wanted to try.

I'd rather not be closer to the other people when I'm having my meals--remember COVID 19? And I belive I 'm also paying for the view.
Limited hours for the restaurants and lounge do not provide a lot of flexibility to eat at the hotel, but the neighborhood offers many alternatives.
The bar charges 2000-3000 JPY if you want to sit by the window (for a better view), I think it is ridiculous and unnecessary.

You can charge people who are not hotel guests and want to come to the bar, but charging your own guests extra? not cool...
The buffet restaurant was expensive given the food was cold, and the staff were not as friendly as in the rest of the hotel.
Also, the meat at the restaurant was quite cold and therefore tough, and the melon was not cut properly, making it difficult to eat.

However, the buffet dinner was very disappointing – food was cold and average, and £80 for two (with one beer) felt poor value.
However, there's a separate fee for the seats at the tables right by the window, just to be able to sit there.
The restaurant located on the 27th has a varied menu and dishes prepared by two complementary chefs (Japan / France).

Even though we were guests of the hotel - on top of drinks which were also a premium price.
Sky Bar on the top floor with a great view closes at 22:00, last order even at 21:00...
Reservation is recommended as there are few tables (extra charge if the table is closest to the window).

We wish we’d skipped it and had dinner out instead, for a fraction of the cost!
We didn’t use any of restaurants except to grab a sake after a day touristing.
In the bar, you have to pay extra for a table by the window.

The best part of this hotel is the restaurant with the buffet.
We would appreciate it if you could come up with good solutions.
Additionally, the bar actually closes at 9 PM in the evening.

The ground floor restaurant is affordable but very bad.
Pricing in the lobby lounge is too expensive
The restaurants on the floors are rather pricey.

Transport: What guests say

Airport access is a major strength: the limousine bus stops at the hotel entrance, especially convenient for Haneda. Narita service is limited, may not operate, and ticket purchasing can be difficult; there is no free shuttle. Metro access is generally convenient but ranges from next door to a 7–15-minute walk, while taxis can be expensive.

You can also purchase Airport limo bus tickets from Klook which is probably a better option but plan to spend an additional hour or so on the bus as it makes several stops along the way.
We took the Skyliner from Narita Airport to Ueno, and the hotel is quite a distance from Ueno Station, so we took a taxi, which cost about 1400 yen and took about 10 minutes
The hotel has a Limousine Bus service to the airport that goes to Haneda Airport five times a day, but only three times to Narita Airport, with the last bus being in the afternoon

We hire a private car for airport drop Off but the hotel staff don’t allow the car stop at the drop off , instead we have to drag the luggage to the road side.
The bonus for us is Asakusa View is also one of the location of the airport bus to pick up their pessanger so we can go back to airport right from our hotel.
I inquired at the front desk in advance to purchase tickets for the limousine bus to Narita Airport, but twice I was told to apply directly to the bus company.

I don't know if it's an issue with the bus company or the hotel, but I thought it would be better if it were easier to purchase limousine bus tickets.
The best part: almost the starting point of the 'limousine airport shuttle', you exit the lobby and board the bus if you have a flight to catch.
After an initial processing error during booking, the rate increased by about 5% when I rebooked (might be something unknown to the hotel)

4) Limousine bus for airports stops at the hotel, a convenient alternative to trains and the subway especially in case of heavy luggage
If you don't take the bus from the hotel to the airport, it takes some time to walk to the subway station.
The limousine bus to Narita Airport arrived on time, and we were able to send off the customers safely.

They don't offer a free shuttle to or from the airport so you will need to plan ahead.
We also found that the airport limousine has a pickup spot from this hotel which was very convenient.
There are no restaurants in the vicinity BUT the owner drove us to the restaurants of our choice.

It was very convenient for my 77-year-old mother to move between Ueno and the hotel by taxi.
The station right next to the hotel is the railway station so we haven't used it much.
Another plus is the bus stop to the airport right at the entrance to the hotel.

The limousine bus connected to the airports has a stop at this hotel, it's really convenient
Airport Limousine Bus stop at the front door to and from airports for ¥1,300 per person.
For overseas guests, finding the bus company and purchasing tickets is a bit of a task.

It was convenient that I could access the Tsukuba Express by going underground from the hotel.
Since there was a concierge desk, I thought they could be a bit more helpful.
A taxi is only called if you pay a calling fee of €5 etc. etc.

You can take the limousine bus directly to the airport from the hotel lobby.
The airport limo drop on/off at the hotel was also a great bonus.
The subway was right outside the hotel which we used and appreciated

It was alittle far from the train to Narita Airport.
No shuttle bus to Narita , only to Haneda
Near a couple of different metro stations.

Gym: What guests say
View Asakusa View Hotel22 relevant reviews
Guests consistently report that the gym is unavailable to regular hotel guests, restricted to club members, or requires an additional fee. When accessible, it is often described as tiny and poorly equipped, with reports of only a few machines, no weights, heat, and occasional closure for repairs; some found it in another building.

The information was inaccurate, as we found shortly upon arrival that per gym and pool policy, only those with annual memberships can use the facilities (so pretty much only locals had access to these amenities; no foreign guests or tourists allowed)
The only downside was that the gym and swimming pool on the fourth floor were under internal repairs until the end of February, so I couldn't use them.
A bit annoying that you don't have access to fitness - especially when you have jet lag and wake up very early.

For a hotel of this size in a city like Tokyo I was disappointed not to be able to use the gym.
To pay extra to use the pool and gym was a rort and should have been up front when we booked.
The gym and pool cannot be used unless you are a club member, not even for an extra fee.

4 machines, no towels, no water, and the air conditioning was not adjustable, it was really hot.
The gym is in another building and kind of ridiculous, don't count on much of a workout.
The gym can hardly be called that. 3 treadmills and a chest press. Not even weights.

The hotel has a gym, but bizarrely it’s not open to residents even when it’s empty.
The gym is not available to guests at all, but is a membership only facility.
The gym was to be honest sub-par - very small and limited in scope.

There was an additional fee for using the hotel fitness center or pool.
So-called fitness centre are 2 treadmills, a bike and one exercise machine.
Pool and fitness club only for members and not for hotel guests.

The pool and gym area were already closed at 9 PM.
No access to the fitness area (only for club members)
Access to gym and pool comes at an additional fee.

Not able to use gym & pool!!
The gym has only the name!
Couldnt use the gym at all.

No free on site gym
Lack of gym.

It was the first time I was forced to use pallet parking, so I struggled with parking and had to look for a place that was easier to park, which took time and significantly increased my fatigue.
2. Despite requesting to use Rakuten points and pay with Rakuten Pay, the payment for the parking lot was not smooth.
They even offered free 3 hour parking space for my rental car, which is rare in Tokyo.

The parking is adjacent to the hotel.
Have car park.
Parking is underground

If there was an outdoor bath with a view of Asakusa, I would be willing to choose a more expensive plan.
Regardless of their massage skills, being massaged by women who could be my grandmothers made me feel guilty.
I used the in-room massage service, but the massage therapists were elderly women.

Didn’t love that sauna not available to hotel guests
No onsen or spa.
