With such a high price charging for a power adapter at the reception is not the level of a 5-star hotel, where guests should be provided with complete comfort for such an amount.

·Modern facilities: The maintenance of both public spaces and in-room amenities is excellent. Even the bathroom is spotless and free of any mold, and the toilet features the latest TOTO bidet model.

Super comfortable bed, lovely shower and nice quality amenities (only shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion and hand wash in an effort to cut down on single use plastic waste).

If you don't mind the room being a bit small and care more about the variety of breakfast or cleanliness details, I personally think this is a hotel worth considering.

Hotels in Hong Kong have been lacking in cleanliness lately, so I discovered this new place while looking for somewhere other than the usual hotels, and I like it.

·Excellent location: It is on the A11 route of the airport bus line, and it's a 10-minute walk to catch the MRT, city buses, or the Ding Ding tram.

We have been here twice now and have enjoyed the luxurious rooms, great breakfast, good fitness area, and dining in the restaurant in the evening is really recommended.

Rooms are a tad bit small (but can be expected given how central the hotel is, and also at this price range its a good value).

The price vs. space/equipment cost performance is not top-notch for me; considering the location and design sense, I think it’s slightly on the high side.

Its location is excellent, especially if you’re attending events at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre — everything is within easy reach.

Location is great - walking distance to wanchai station, many restaurant nearby which make it easy to grab something to eat.

Even though my friend doesn't mind, I hope next time when the hotel sees a guest celebrating a birthday,

The design is beautiful – lots of wood and high-quality materials create a warm and cozy atmosphere.

The hotel communicated that the invoice should be issued by Booking.com, but that was not true.

Filbert took excellent care of us and was so friendly – thank you very much!

Feels like a retreat in the middle of bustling Wan Chai.

The staff were friendly and attentive.

Overall quite good, but the room is too small. A larger suitcase obstructs movement, and controlling the room lighting is difficult to understand, especially the light above the mirror, which takes a long time to figure out. Additionally, the curtains cannot be controlled independently, and choosing to only open part of them is quite unsatisfactory. Moreover, the view from outside can see into the room, which compromises personal space. It would be much better if there were one-way glass.

Pictures can be very deceiving, it's small and tight and I apparently got the next level up in room offerings, but larky and the reason why I give them three stars, my bathroom has a muggy smell and there's already a small pool of water as if someone just had a shower and left the shower dripping.

We had a city view in a square room, and the curtains cannot be moved independently, i.e. ALL the curtains went up and down, which meant the room sometimes felt like you're in a windowless room when you wanted to cut some light out (because you had no choice of cutting some or ALL the light).

Could do with some extra hooks in the toilet stall, esp since the "smart" toilet kept automatically raising the toilet seat cover which meant if i were changing in there, I had to leave my clothes on the floor as my clothes would slide off the toilet seat cover.

The room I booked was pretty small, as I was on my own this wasn’t really an issue but I had 2x 25kg suitcases with me which took up the already limited space.

My corner room had a thin wall, as the family next door had a small toddler who made noise in the mornings, so hearing guests was not pleasant.

Superior city view was our favourite, as it had an entry area with a little writing table where we could place our luggage and purchases.

Rooms size is a tad small, but the designers made sure all the necessary comfort and thoughtful elements were incorporated to the room.

This panoramic view of the city, illuminated by the gentle glow of lights in the evening, is a sight to cherish.

The room was quite small for big luggage but we knew in advance so adapted for a short stay.

Bed, pillows and duvet were comfortable — we slept well during our stay and didn't encounter any noise disturbance.

For the price, we were expecting a bit more space, but that was good for a short trip.

For those accustomed to Western proportions, the quarters feel restrictive; it is a beautiful, albeit cramped, sanctuary.

There are larger rooms with a proper workspace, but they cost at least €50 more per night.

There are full floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides, and you can see the view of Victoria Harbour.

There were some design niggles to the room which reduced it from a 10/10 to 8/10.

In-room tea kit for guests helped to enjoy the elegance and serenity of tea rituals.

Room was super clean and even though it was small, it had everything you need.

The rooms may be small, but they are very comfortable, well-designed, and nicely maintained.

Rooms are small and are lacking a smart solution to open a big suitcase.

The room mix Japanese tatami and modernity, perfectly confortable although a little small.

The interior design is great, and the room is very tidy and clean.

The cleaners were also very lovely and provided excellent room cleaning services.

Tiny nitpick but one part of the shower drain didn't seem clean.

The Japanese-style aesthetics are flawless, yet the physical constraints are undeniable.

The room is cozy, well cleaned and the bed is comfortable.

It reminds me of the Arlo Nomad Hotel in New York.

Room a bit small, there was no proper changing room.

If you are claustrophobic this might not be for you.

The switches in the bathroom you couldn't find easily.

Had various issues during my stay with the housekeeping staff not paying attention to detail, they never cleaned the floors for example during my whole stay, and I had to reach out to them every day for little things, like replacing the bin liners in the cosmetic bins - replenishing handwash, damaging the tissue box, replacing mugs... so more training required - especially as this hotel is supposed to be a 5*

I lost my printed invoice from the hotel and when i called the hotel to send to my email just one day after i checked out, the hotel did not even bother to respond or send any email, even after the operator mentioned that they will resend the invoice to my email address - I guess this is what to expect from HK service.

- The staff are professional in their work and have a warm and friendly attitude; especially Vincent and Chilly at the front desk on the third floor, who were super nice and helped us upgrade our room when possible. The kids loved it.

We asked the reception to order us a taxi, he did so and 5min later said the taxi is waiting. Well, when we went downstairs there was no taxi waiting and we had to get one ourselves)

Initially they claimed I haven’t paid anything and they wanted to charge the full amount again, even though I paid the full amount + deposit when I checked in.

Filbert and Justin and Lucia they are all very nice and friendly to go extra miles to make sure I am happy during my stay.

Second night the bin wasn’t lined and small hand towels not replaced (though larger face towels were provided) nor used amenities in drawer replenished.

I want to shout Chilly and Cooper for going out of your way and making a really great trip and stay

My wife wants me to add that Filbert and Christine were the most fantastic reception team (Chrinstine is the manager).

$300-$400 HKD taxi fare from airport to/from this hotel. (although expect to direct taxi drivers to AKI as this hotel is very new, they won't know this location off by heart)

It is surrounded by 'red light' establishments and I was harassed by individuals in the doorways of neighbouring establishments as soon as I stepped outside The Brighton, for food.

AKI is a nicely decorated and tasteful boutique hotel and located 5 minutes walk from the Wan Chai MTR station and the Hong Kong Conversation and Exhibition Centre.

MOST IMPORTANTLY - location, very Central, red taxi's available to order and hail 24/7 : walking distance to Exhibition Hall station / short walk to MTR Wanchai station.

Great location with many F&B options around the area, and it is also within walking distance to Wan Chai station, Causeway Bay and Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

It takes about a 10-minute walk from the nearest station, so if you have a suitcase, moving around while dragging it might not be very convenient.

The location is extremely convenient, right in the core area of Wanchai, it's a quick walk to Lee Tung Street, Star Street Precinct, and Causeway Bay.

Nice location that is easy to get to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, especially if carry lots of things on the arrival day.

Moreover, it was only a 7 to 8-minute walk from Wan Chai Station, and I didn't have any trouble moving around with my luggage.

The vibrant city life is just around the corner and the accessibility to local attractions, shopping centers, and food markets is truly remarkable.

- The location is super convenient, close to Wan Chai, Causeway Bay, and the convention center, making it easy to get anywhere.

Great location - very close to Wan Chai MTR and also the bus stop of one of the AirPort Express bus (A11).

Only problem is that you have to walk around 10minutes to the MTR, so when there’s severe weather it is not convenient.

The hotel is in Wan Chai, which is conveniently located, but there are many shops downstairs, which are very noisy.

The hotel was located in a busier area of Wan Chai but hidden away at the same time.

Additionally, the hotel is located within proximity to two subway/bus stations/stops and multiple highly rated eateries!

It was not in central area, but good to feel the locals a bit more.

The hotel is located on a quiet street and you can't hear the street noise.

Perfectly positioned for high-frequency travelers who need immediate access to the urban core.

Location was smack in middle of Wanchai, close to shops and offices.

The hotel is a serene space in such a bustling city.

I ordered a matcha latte, the barista took out the matcha, a man came up, scolded the barista, and said they don't have matcha and there are a lot of people in line, go wait.

To prospective guests - apart from the items on the breakfast menu, apparently there were also free fruit and fried noodles available but you'd have to ask for those!

Had the eggs benedict first day stay and the eggs were completely undercooked - as I say, aesthetics great but when you look closer it's not done properly.

Breakfast system very strange and complicated, need to give order of eggs than have to wait between 20 to 30 min to get it

During the breakfast guests can choose 1 main dish from the menu and take fruits, vegetables, cheese, bakery, cereals, seeds from buffet.

The breakfast quality/number of available food reduced a lot compared to few years ago, there is almost nothing in the buffet

Coffee at breakfast was only good on the first day, which is lower than my expectations for hotels at this standard.

Breakfast: taste could be improved (eg. miso glazed salmon did not taste of miso or any marinade; pancakes felt slightly pre-made)

But it was good that Japanese elements were incorporated into the breakfast menu which made for a coherent Japanese experience

Breakfast was especially good with great Egg Benedict and the buffet of fresh fruit really made it soo healthy.

It was a fine breakfast if it was included, but I wouldn't pay for it a second time.

For the price I expected breakfast and it was not included it could have been a plus

We didn't feel the price (not included in our room rate) reflected the quality of the breakfast.

Breakfast was just right for me, not too much since I don't eat much in the morning.

Tried the salmon and rice option - the miso soup was so salty I couldn't finish

Directly across from the hotel is a nice traditional breakfast place that you should try.

There is a Huasa ice room right across from the hotel, no worries about breakfast.

Breakfast was another highlight: diverse, high-quality, and a great way to start the day.

I was happy to be able to have my favorite eggs benedict every morning.

The very pointy edges of the bedframe is the only space for you to put your luggage down and I've had many bruises on my legs walking into - this needs to be re-designed for health & safety reasons

The hotel is small -- maybe 10 rooms per floor and the hotel is also not very tall -- maybe 25 stories.

There isn't much to the place but the bar at the top of the hotel is worth a trip up to see.

The complimentary genmaicha was not merely a ready-made tea bag but was loose leaf, which did make a difference to the experience

Toto Japanese toilet is available (which has a dryer function too), which is commonplace in Japanese hotels but a rarity in HK

Clean, comfortable, lobby area with workspace, space for cars to pick up and drop off guests, reception and hotel staff pleasant

In contrast to bigger hotels where you spend too long waiting for elevator, or in the elevator stopping every floor...

Gym - nice views across harbour from the machines, towels and water available, clean, wasn't busy when we used it.

But the co-working / lounge area by the lobby was a nice calming place to sit and chat or work.

I would have loved for the room to be provided with a safe deposit box for convenience and mental comfort.

Also both of us experienced water leaking out of the shower slightly during use which made the vanity area damp.

Inconvenient movement through the elevators to get from the street to the room, lack of restroom at the reception

AND TO GO DOWN TO THE STREET YOU HAVE TO CHANGE ELEVATOR ON THE SECOND OR THIRD FLOOR

Really calm vibe in the hotel, and a nice lobby area with comfortable seats and work areas.

Spotted some mould growth on the shower door seal strips — housekeeping can and should fix this.

A co-working area with extensive desk and chairs is located on 3rd floor which opens 24h.

And with three elevators, you NEVER have to wait long for an elevator.

One elevator was heavily airconditioned (too much), the other one not at all.

Very nice bar on the top floor - good ambience, interesting cocktail menu.

Beautiful room design, delicious breakfasts, great view from the window, very comfortable bed.

The room, although beautiful, is already starting to subject to wear and tear.

The lobby and elevators were also clean, making for a very comfortable stay.

There were also other amenities which are not found frequently in other hotels

The Tatami room is well-designed to make the best use of its space

Great amenities: For instance, toiletries from The White Company are available

There are built-in outlets and USB ports for comfortable work.

The third floor is nice for relaxing, having meetings.

I love the Japandi aesthetic of the hotel.

It has a minimal style to it.

Would be perfect if a better glass of pinot noir can be offered, tho it wasn’t bad for the price but would prefer something more excited.

Uncle Ming’s whiskey bar on the 25th floor with it’s beautiful interior and view of the city was a great place to hang out before bedtime.

Spent a lovely evening at Tangram, casual atmosphere, subtle yet sophisticated set menu, remind me of the taste of country side in France.

Don’t miss the fabulous view from the Whiskey bar on the top floor, or their fabulous bartenders making unique and delicious cocktails!

Their restaurant is beautiful, and their excellent service to me and everyone else made me love Hong Kong Hotel so much.

I must say it worths the money and I am sure we will come back with friends or family again!

Tangram restaurant at AKI is a lovely open style restaurant and it provides delicious and value for money cuisine!

The elevated French bistro-style food is refined and full of flavor — the mussels and steak frites are standouts.

If u come here u must try their new menu, especially their KASUMI FIZZ, it is very good.

If you are not staying at AKI, it's still worth your while to have lunch or dinner there!

Whiskey bar in the 25th floor also serves an interesting variety of cocktails with a great view.

For a dinner I advise to try a set menu for 2 (or 4) people.

Had the set lunch, trying all the signature dishes - generous portions and excellent quality.

Service is warm and attentive, and the restaurant itself is really nice with Japanese-Nordic aesthetic.

Filbert assisted us with a restaurant reservation for our WCPCCS conference celebration.

A big shout out to the chef for crafting such memorable dishes.

Enjoy the dinner and service in this hotel, especially Michelle and Vincent.

We had dinner in the hotel restaurant too and it was excellent.

First impressions make lasting impressions, first, there is no bell service at arrival, I had to haul my luggage into the building, the welcome service was lacking, I noticed after the fact that guests were coordinated with welcome tea and drinks, not offered to me.

We were hoping for a late check-out without an extra charge, paying half the price we paid for one night seems a bit excessive, especially considering that the time between check-in and check-out is never 24 hours.

I requested early check in of the day one week before my stay and I got noticed only on that day morning that there is option to guarantee my early check in on a fixed fee.

We arrived in Hong Kong on an early morning flight and headed to the hotel. We intended to store our luggage, but since the room was ready, we were able to check in right away.

But if he could be more friendly like smile or relax with his tone, that could made my good impressions of arrival after I had a long day.

At check-in, the hotel placed a deposit of HKD 1,567.50 on my credit card, and they informed me that it would be released after check-out.

Barely checked in here and less than impressed, honestly if I could get a refund I would and head back to real 5 star service.

We requested a slightly later check out time and they were kind enough to grant this with no extra cost - thank you.

The house keeping staff knocks the door when it is not yet the check out time. Feeling it is not that flexible.

They didn’t informed me about having to pay a deposit, but from a 1500hkd deposit he just asked for 1000hkd.

In order to avoid any confusion, i asked to draft an email with the detailed information on the process.

Once more as far as my check in experience has been, this is NOT a 5 star hotel.

I found it unfortunate that there was no one to welcome us on the ground floor upon arrival.

Worth to mention excellent checkin service by Mr. Filbert Wong, who make the entire experience even better.

Christol checked me in with a warm smile and recommended the different hotel facilities and places nearby.

I was really grateful that I could leave my many bags in my room and go sightseeing.

According to the hotel, the release request was sent to its merchant bank on June 22.

The experience with the gentleman at the reception desk when I checked in could be better.

I arrived late at night...1AM he was professional all right, every conversation we had was fair.

We have to manage our luggage ourselves to the reception which is one floor above.

I have to ask him twice before he answered me, and very impatient.

My check in procedure takes so long time, but no compensation is given.

The checking in was the smoothest one I’ve had in years.

I paid the full amount + deposit when I checked in.

He also asked, if I need help with luggage.

The reply speed of the hotel is slow.

The way the elevators were separated, you can’t call that a gym it’s got nothing in it

There is a good gymnasium with overlooking panoramic city views of Wan Chai and partial harbour views.

The have a nice, but small, bar on the top floor along with a fair gym.

The gym is really simple with weights only up to 8kg and a couple cardio machines.

Gym is super small ( 2 people at same time makes it hard to breathing

You can find there fitness machines, exercise bicycles, free weights, treadmills, towels and water.

I didn't use the gym -- it looked very basic from the pictures.

There is a whiskey bar on the 25th floor, next to the gym.

There are plenty of gyms surrounding the hotel, i used anytime fitness.

The gym is symbolic - didn’t even have a pull-up bar.

But it does have a gorgeous view of Hong Kong.

Bonus having a gym and whiskey bar too.

Others: A gym with an invincible view.

It opens 24-hour for in-house guest.

Gym experience was pleasant.

I asked them to order me taxi for the next day, but when I went at the reception the taxi wasn't waiting for us, so they started to look for taxi in that moment.

Finally the concierge called Uber without asking me and told me that the price will be approx. 100HKD for 7-8km, but the driver asked me for 276HKD which is fraud.

Concierge is very helpful and will call a cab from the main road for hotel guests.

Main lobby on the third floor, to call a taxi they went out into the street.

Close to bus/metro to central and other parts of the city.

We have a very bad experience with taxi ordered by hotel.

We almost missed the train because of them.
