Overall: What guests say
View Alila Bangsar Kuala Lumpur – A Hyatt Brand244 relevant reviews
Guests repeatedly praise Alila Bangsar’s modern, highly Instagrammable design, cleanliness, comfortable quiet rooms, friendly service, pool, and Kuala Lumpur views. Value is often considered strong, with direct train access and complimentary transport noted. Recurring drawbacks include awkward two-lift access, limited surrounding activities, operational quirks, and experiences falling short of five-star standards, including poor service and an inedible welcome fruit platter.

The hotel was new and the interiors were aligned with what a hyatt Alila property would offer.. well thought of offerings and the services bieng Amazing, the staffs were really good specially Mr. Dulhan at the concierge with his ever assistive and supportive attitude ..
My husband have to go down to the reception - tell the whole situation and agreed upon a mutual decision that a change of room will be provided.
For a short business trip this hotel might fit you, for us in our holiday it didn't meet up our expectations.

Overall, it’s a highly recommended place to stay, and I would definitely choose to return again in the future.
Super modern. Great design. Especially the pool and the view from there of Kuala Lumpur. Simply great.
90% of the hotel is amazing the 10% that I didn’t like is the dirty shower walls

Just like any other hotels by Hyatt, what else to complain about? They're always been great.
But it was a little tired in places... Coat hooks coming out the wall etc.
Alila never disappoints… our second time here in consecutive years… definitely one for KL.

It has given a perception of a true hospital and ambient place to stay.
It was our 2nd time staying at Alila and it did not disappoint!
We felt very comfortable in the hotel and would book it again.

Short but fine stay, Alila hotel was up to the standard expected.
Have stayed here many times and it is a trustworthy hotel.
Hôtel is extremely well designed with a high level of aesthetics.

It could be a bit pricey for a longer stay.
I am quite picky with good interior deco and feel.
Always an amazing experience when staying at Alila Bangsar.

Less crowd and away from the bustling shopping belt.
It was really great for a one night stay.
One of the most Instagrammable hotel in KL

This is (probably?) the lowest priced Alila location.
Great 5-star modern hotel at an affordable price.
The place is very clean and very comfortable.

Overall a good stay, would come back!
Compared to the hotel's welcome video, which clearly showcases the brand's spirit on launch, there has been some significant changes, key of which is the rooftop bar which was closed during Covid and no longer open to both staff and guests - which is a loss of a fantastic view and selling point.
Top notch design, tranquil for a city hotel, highly accessible by the LRT (light rail transit). Amazing hotel if you are here for business, but also for leisure if you are seeking a posh and quiet place within the city.

Our 2 big problems with this hotel was the lack of smart TV (you can order room service via the TV, but you can't use streaming services even with your own login) and very intermittent WiFi around the room.
The interior design is so chique and posh, you also get complimentary snack and drinks on every level, amazing price with spacious bedroom and nice view overlooking KL city centre, amazing breakfast with Western and Malaysian food options.
Overall, I would definitely consider coming back, given the price, the friendliness of the staff, the F&B outlets and offerings in the neighborhood, as well as the quieter location/smaller size of the hotel, for a more relaxing/intimate stay.

Rooms: What guests say
View Alila Bangsar Kuala Lumpur – A Hyatt Brand415 relevant reviews
Rooms are repeatedly described as exceptionally spacious, clean, modern, and comfortable, often with excellent city or Bangsar views, large bathrooms, strong rain showers, and occasional balconies or sitting areas. Recurring drawbacks include noisy air-conditioning or neighboring rooms, one dirty bathroom and cigarette smell, softer bedding, no bathtub, and limited television options.

The shower walls are mouldy and they need to be cleaned better especially with white tiles there is mould growing in the walls they need to scrub the shower walls better to make it clean for a 5 star hotel this mould is not acceptable
The biggest inconvenience is the lift, we had to take one up to the 41st floor, cross the lobby and take another lift down to our room and the lifts are sooo slow.
The washing basin and shower box were full of hair, and the shower box had mold all over the wall tiles and the water pipe, it was really disgusting.

When we mentioned that the room doesn’t match the specifications of our booking, we were told that this is the only option they have in site.
My bed was converted from the sofa bed which surprisingly still comfortable although it was slightly short perhaps was meant for children to sleep.
I mentioned it on the reception but they just unswered that they are 'very sorry' and did not do anything about it.

The room is very spacious and clean, exceeding expectations (especially for the very large bathroom equipped with all the necessary comforts).
The property is very dusty and it has a smell like no one has stayed for a long time .
Two lift rides to get to ground floor from rooms but no big issue when everything else so good

2) stiffer pillows - but the pillows were so comfortable, just wished they were a tiny bit stiffer.
Room is spacious and sheets are very clean and the scent of the hotel + room is amazing
The room curtains and the toilet sliding door in my room malfunctioned, both failing to close properly.

TV programs are boring, please comes with YOUTUBE / NETFLIX ( a smarter SMART TV please)
The five star quality and standards on the rooms and service as well as the food.
A spacious room with a large bathroom that can be closed off with sliding doors.

Only thing that could have made it even better is the smell of the room.
The room's design is very comfortable, with good privacy and a nice city view.
The room was excellent, with a wonderful view, spacious bathroom and a great vibe.

Upon returning to the room two hours later the balcony door was still locked.
Room and toilet was spacious, view was nice, the bed was extremely comfortable.
Loved the view of Genting Highlands and Merdeka 118 from our hotel room.

The rooms are on the 35th to 39th floor; so a splendid view
I also appreciated having a separate "living room" with a nice view.
The room is big enough and i love each of the subarea.

The room was spacious and had higher ceiling than normal hotel rooms.
Generally, the rooms were well maintained and clean enough - however, some areas of the room were overlooked (vent above the shower area had collected dust, and the wall in the common bathroom area where the bathrobes were hung had water marks that have not been wiped down, fridge needed cleaning and the clothes cupboard had a musty smell too).
While there is usb type A charging port beside the bed, most cables now are type C, and no wall.socket available beside the bed. There is one on the right side of the bed but very tight clearance from.the bedside table, hence I.could.nof plug my charger and travel adsptor on it.

1)Wished there was a portable makeup mirror. The yellow lighting on the bathroom mirror creates shadows that are not conducive for wearing makeup. If the room had a portable makeup mirror that I can take to the full length mirror that would’ve been perfect
The design of the room is very modern which I absolutely adore, just that none of the bathroom doors can be locked and there is a gap in the door that's facing the bed which is not the best design I guess.
At first, I didn't know what to make of the Alila. However, after a few nights, I really started to appreciate how private it is. Being on the 41st floor, tucked away in Bangar, it's exactly what I needed. Privacy!!!

Staff: What guests say
View Alila Bangsar Kuala Lumpur – A Hyatt Brand263 relevant reviews
Staff are most often described as friendly, helpful, attentive, polite, and warmly welcoming, with several guests praising responsive front-desk and breakfast teams. However, service quality is inconsistent: limited English caused communication difficulties and slow request fulfillment, housekeeping was occasionally delayed, and one promised birthday cake and card were not provided. The hotel also lacked expected luggage assistance.

Most importantly, the staff does not seem sufficiently trained and/or experienced (for example: our laundry (which would have had to be returned the same day) was only returned a day later and after we called for this ourself - the in-room dining plan was apparently not available for each room, but that only became clear after a long explanation at the reception - it appeared that there had been a mistake with the number of breakfast, but instead of simply charging the missing breakfasts to our rooms, they asked us to contact Booking first to change our booking - …).
Staff - very poor unlike other 4 / 5* hotels in KL whilst courteous didn't provide an helpful experience... Waited 30 mins to check in as only one member of staff at the desk.. No explanation of facilities and had to press a button to get room made up!
I called the day i had left and informed them that I had left my laundry bag there, they took my contact details and didn't contact me back, so i went there today to ask in person.

We came across a reception staff, probable Aziz or Asif, such a friendly guy helped us out of the way, who helped in booking a suitable vehicle to the Airport in very early morning.
Not here. The staff ( young gentleman )who explained things to me, for my check in on 3 December about 6pm, he seemed really happy to be there.
The concierge / bell boy can be hard to be found at the Ground Level, need more information to direct guest to the lobby.

On several occasions I had to be redirected at reception because the person I was speaking to could not understand me.
Nevertheless, the warm and attentive service we received from the staff more than made up for any inconvenience we experienced.
So did the welcoming party at botanico for bfast ! Happy staff means management are doing things right !

Was just one incident where we ordered some drinks and it took much much longer than needed.
He gave the vibe of actually wanting us to have a good and relaxed time here.
The staff are very good, especially the Reception staff who were very friendly and helpful.

Customer service (including most of the waiters at botanica) was not up to scratch.
Thank you so much Ms Noratiquah Norhaji for replying to my reservation inquiry.
You’re not sure the one who knock the door is staff or outsiders.

Not the type of service you'd expect in a 4 star hotel.
I had expected much from a hotel named after the famed Alila.
We was greeted with warm smiles and a refreshing welcome drink.

The frontdesk staff Shafi went the extra mile to help us.
They were exceptional with the requests I had during my stay.
Counter guy, Arsad, Lvl 41, cheerful approachable menace and likeable person.

The receptionist, the room cleanliness I felt terrible this time.
Staff were good and accommodated request for late check out.
The reception helped us with flight tickets and taxi bookings.

The warm welcome made me feel right at home.
Excellent location, helpful staff & overall very positive experience.
The manager even came to verify this with us.

The service was top notch in that area.
Checking in and out was smooth and quick.
Staff are professional, well spoken and efficient.

Location: What guests say
View Alila Bangsar Kuala Lumpur – A Hyatt Brand239 relevant reviews
The hotel is peaceful, elevated, and well connected via a covered walkway to Bangsar LRT, one stop from KL Sentral, with strong city and sunset views. However, it is effectively in Brickfields rather than Bangsar, with little immediately walkable dining or shopping, less appealing surroundings, and frequent reliance on trains or cars.

Location-wise while it is situated close to the KL Sentral transportation hub, and from the car park, there is a direct link to the Bangsar MRT, it takes 2 lift changes (i.e. a total of 3 different lifts) to go from carpark to room, and the building is unfortunately located on a cul-de-sac of sorts in the area, making driving somewhat tedious.
The neighborhood is also more interesting than it lets on, with Brickfields and all its Indian stores/restaurants a short walk away, as well as some pretty decent Western options (a pizzeria, oyster bar, café, and acclaimed cocktail bar among others) on a block across the street.
The entrance requires a bridge and a walk up to get to the other side of the street and then you have to go up to the 41st floor to then go back down to your room on either the 35th or 40th floor.

Due to its connection via a sky bridge to the Metro, you can easily get into the city and you immediately feel like you're in the center of Kuala Lumpur.
It is one stop from the main station, KL Sentral, and basically the rest of the metropolitan area from there, and a couple stops away from KLCC.
Didn’t quite like the location, it is very central but as it is with Malaysia, it’s not pleasant to walk around, cars are necessary.

Easily accessible by train if you're taking the ERL from the airport to Sentral as the hotel is connected to the Bangsar station.
Truly an urban resort, convenient and great way to escape the city hassle but still within reach of a city life.
It's a quiet area and not much around but using grab or if you hire a car, it's quite convenient.

We also loved how close the MRT station was you can get to the city center in about 15mins.
My only complaint is that the hotel itself is difficult to get to if you want to walk around.
The hotel has a great location for access in to KL, with a bridge link to Bangsar station.

If you're planning to explore KL properly, you'll be dependent on Grab or the LRT for everything.
The area gives off a somewhat dodgy, low-end vibe with very narrow roads, which can be off-putting.
The location may not be the absolute best for those who may want to walk around.

The location, the cleanest of the room and the design of the property is very nice.
I requested a bellboy for luggage assistance, but waited nearly 25 minutes before someone came.
The place is also closer to Brickfields, easier to go and get Indian food.

The location was great, literally right next to the Bank Rakyat Bangsar train station.
Its convenient in terms of location for transport and all of my activities.
Terrific hotel situated on the train line and walking distance to little India.

Good location, central to places I have to go during the week
Located on top of est. building, very good view of KL City.
Location wasn’t linked to or within walking distance to a mall.

From here 1 stop to KL Sentra or Midvalley Mega mall.
The location is in Little India and the surroundings look shabby.
The neighbourhood around the hotel feels very rough and unsafe.

Great location with Bangsar LRT station right next to it.
The location is so closr to the train station
Situated in a good spot with many local eateries.

Facilities: What guests say
View Alila Bangsar Kuala Lumpur – A Hyatt Brand188 relevant reviews
Complimentary coffee, tea, drinks, and snacks on every floor are a standout convenience. Guests consistently praise the stylish, photogenic design, cleanliness, maintenance, and city views. Recurring drawbacks include slow, hot, and complicated elevator transfers, a cold pool, and a small, limited gym; some bars were closed and the rooftop balcony lacks weather protection.

The only part which I think the hotel requires to improve would be the water, I am a bit skeptical with the glass bottle whether it was cleaned properly or how would you guarantee no one careful tearing the secure sticker on the water bottle and added something into it.
Parking is not complimentary, it cost 19rm a day (multiple entry) however we are okay with the cost as the parking facilities was great- very clean, very well lit and convenient as well cause you can park on the premium floor (first floor upon entry).
To order any food or drinks, you have to call the hotel’s customer service using a phone that’s only available at the pool bar, which is quite inconvenient—especially since it requires walking all the way there, and the call often doesn’t connect.

There was a coffee machine in front of the elevator, so I could have free coffee, and there were simple snacks like potato chips and banana chips nearby, which was great.
I was fortunate to have an Anytime Fitness nearby at the train station, which was a much better option and only a five-minute walk away.
First time under our two weeks in Malaysia hotel offer a ironboard for Tall non Asian so it was enjoyment to do some iron.

The views from both the pool deck and the workout room were exceptional, offering a peaceful, scenic backdrop to our stay.
In an ideal world one would like to get a lift straight to the floor you are staying on.
It is very slow and you need to change few lifts to get to the room from carpark.

Very smart hotel, well maintained and a great view of the city from the pool area
Cleaning the room needs to be 100% down to clearing the disposable things in the room.
Love the environment friendly approach, by replacing plastic bottles water to refillable sealed glass bottles.

Lobby on level 41, but service and room more then makes up for this.
Bar: Very quiet, I was literally the only person there during my visit.
Same as everyone else mentioned, the lift situation needs some getting used to.

They have free coffee and cookies at every guest floor, its so convenient
The hotel has plenty of common breakout areas for us to relax.
It is hard to switch channels or even on off the TV.

Coffee tea machine with snacks at every lift lobby was really delightful!
The water runs cold, especially in the mornings, so be prepared.
The showers are starting to show signs of wear and tear.

Not so crowded, so it’s a perfect escape from city hustle
The hotel is in very good condition and well maintained.
The hotel is clean and I like it’s minimalist design.

Drinks and snack pantry on every floor is great.
The maintenence and design of the spaces are nice
Additionally, the lifts were slow, with long waits.

The entrance is a bit difficult to find.
The complimentary coffee/tea and snacks are yummy!
Coffee and snack bar near lift exit.

Breakfast: What guests say
View Alila Bangsar Kuala Lumpur – A Hyatt Brand149 relevant reviews
Breakfast is usually praised for quality, varied Malaysian and international choices, fresh à la carte dishes, and friendly service. Recurring drawbacks are a limited buffet or menu for a five-star hotel, occasional forgotten or extra-charge items, and the ground-floor location requiring a long trip; takeaway quality and availability are inconsistent.

I am not a fussy eater so I liked the breakfast a lot, however if you are fussy you will struggle. This is a very traditional breakfast for Malaysia, lots of curry, pho etc. egg station was lovely though
English comprehension and general language skills is really important so you can answer for instance, if the fish & chips are breaded or battered - these are basic/important for a cosmopolitan hotel food outlet.
For the 5-star class breakfast menu, in my opinion, it is still limited, but the taste is still very good especially local snack such as cekodok pisang , i really love.

But still would be nice to get abit more variety and options for food, but don't do it and miss out on quality, which alot of other hotels sadly do.
After Covid the Alila has changed the former breakfast from buffet and a la carte breakfast in the top floor to only a la carte in the basement restaurant.
The dining room were unhelpful they wouldn’t let us sit a table near a window even though we remained the only persons in the restaurant for the entire meal.

Had to pay for a coffee (unless having drip coffee) and felt that shouldn't happen since I already paid for a breakfast cost for each day of stay.
Restaurant only have one coffee machine which takes 1 or 2 minutes to make a cup of coffee n you can imagine if you are in the queue.
Front office declined and instead suggested I pay for breakfast to go, which was the first time I have ever encountered that at a 5-star hotel.

If you are okay with limited choices of food I guess their breakfast is good enough with freshly blended orange juice and extremely fresh vege
Breakfast is 10/10 with a lot of variety and options, and the breakfast area is very nice and the food is delicious.
Really enjoyed the breakfast and we ordered all the on the made to order menu, and they did not disappoint.

As we came during Ramadan, breakfast (sahur) was sent to the room and the food options were really delicious.
Breakfast in ground floor with different types (Wester-Malay-Chinese)-with great service - only strange loud music in the morning.
The take-away breakfast was not so good, dry croissants with nothing else, no butter or jam.

During breakfast, Izatul always carries a warm, genuine smile that instantly makes you feel welcome.
The breakfast at Botanica was very good and the staff was helpful and kind
Breakfast did not include enough healthy options with lots of unhealthy cereals available.

Another disappointing aspect was the breakfast policy on my departure day.
Some items at breakfast are charged despite already paying for breakfast
The Morning breakfast was great with multiple dishes to choose from.

In order to reach breakfast it’s necessary to take two lifts.
Would be nice to have more breakfast options in the menu.
Really easy to take the train into the city 👌

The daily breakfast had a great choice of international foods.
Tea drinker will need to ask the waiter for it.
Breakfast was excellent and the coffee was very good.

Breakfast was good, but could do with bigger variety.
The buffet breakfast could be a lot better.
I like the style so it wont alot.

Pool: What guests say
View Alila Bangsar Kuala Lumpur – A Hyatt Brand98 relevant reviews
Guests repeatedly praise the clean, stylish infinity or saltwater pool for exceptional Kuala Lumpur skyline views, peaceful lounging, and occasional near-private swims. It is generally small and sometimes unsuitable for swimming or young children, with frequently cold water. Recurring drawbacks include a closed or unattended pool bar, slow drink service, slippery flooring, and occasional crowding or noise.

However, there were many children who made a lot of noise and splashed water everywhere by the pool the entire time we were there - there were no times where, for example, only adults had access.
The pool bar isn't open; you call the front desk and can order from the few options that are offered - only one type of beer and wine for alcoholic drinks.
The pool and gym were in maintenance during our stay, however from my memory from our 1st stay, the pool is very instagram-worthy with heaps of sun-beds.

While waiting for the elevators to the rooms, you can look down on the 40th floor pool, which is a nice size for laps or relaxing.
One thing lacking would be the poolside bar which is closed, and there is no food/drinks for us to order while enjoying ourselves in that area.
The pool hours seem irregular since we were informed that it was open until 10 PM, but one evening it closed at 8 PM instead.

Also no one on the pool bar, it was a self-service via a telephone, would be good to have someone there serving drinks
The pool was quite cold, maybe 21 - 23 degrees, fine for swimming, but far too cold to relax in the pool.
The 40th floor pool was gorgeous and located within a nearly enclosed roof, ensuring lots of shade during the brutally hot afternoons.

The pool and the gym were great and both had a full view on the city centre that was nearby (by car).
I get to enjoy the saltwater pool almost entirely at certain times, lounge at the sun loungers, just write and reflect there.
We used the pool on the 9th floor which was accessible via a different set of lifts which was a bit inconvenient.

Having waitstaff actively engaging with guests around the pool—taking orders and offering refreshments—would create a much more lively and inviting atmosphere.
Swimming pool was occupied by a big group of men who took most of the space, with loud music and smoking.
Surprisingly, the swimming pool was exceptionally clean, and the water was refreshingly cold, which made our swim all the more enjoyable.

The pool is not big, not safe (Sharpe edge, steps inside water that is difficult to see and may trip.
Plus, it wasn’t crowded, so it was very peaceful for the kids to enjoy the pool by themselves.
Pool on the 50th floor was spa like with comfortable beds and a great array of fauna.

The swimming pool was located such that it was outdoors but shielded by the property itself.
Unfortunately the pool is not suitable for smaller kids as there were no kids pool.
The swimming pool is not that big but the environment and view is great.

They are having renovations to the hotel so the rooftop pool was closed.
Especially the pool and the view from there of Kuala Lumpur.
It was a great stay with instagrammable swimming pool and lobby

We were able to use the pool all afternoon.
Beautiful pool but the water is a bit cold.
Consider mending the bar to its fullest potential.

Guest will spend at the poolside too.
The renovation is on the 41 floor.
Pool area lovely and clean also.

Check-in / Check-out: What guests say
View Alila Bangsar Kuala Lumpur – A Hyatt Brand58 relevant reviews
Check-in and check-out are usually quick, smooth, and occasionally flexible with early arrival or late departure. The recurring drawback is access: reception is on the 41st floor, requiring multiple elevator changes to reach rooms. Some guests reported rooms unavailable until late afternoon, long waits, weak arrival information, and occasional parking or billing issues.

If you drive, you have to park your car at M1, then take lift up to G and then from G go to level 41. After that you will take another lift to move to your room that’s located in between 35th-39th floor. Altogether, 4 lift you have to change.
I have told the reception I am feeling unwell and can he pass the room card to me first I can go take a rest first and my husband will check in with him but he just ask me for waiting.
While arriving from the LRT link bridge, one need to travel to the ground floor (Hoping the lift is working), then have to ask to realised that one have to use another lift to get to 41st floor (actual lobby).

Payment issues here (we were double-charged 5 years ago and almost didn't come back) - this time a policy of ignoring booking.com card reservations and insisting on security payments up front by credit rather than debit card.
For example, if you park at floor m1, you need to take lift until Floor G, then transfer to another lift until floor 41st, after that another transfer to your room which i feel abit annoying.
The reception is on the 41st floor, and the guest rooms are only on the 35th to 40th floors, so you need to go to the 41st floor and transfer to another elevator to go down.

Reached hotel at 5.30pm after 9 hours on the road due to long jam at Malaysia immigration n was told one of our rooms is not ready, have to wait 45 min to get it prepared.
The check in can be better managed, was given a wrong door card, when reflected front desk did a great job on resolving the issue and extended late check for us due to this mistake.
The only inconvenience was that in order to get to your rooms, you always need to head up to the lobby (41 floor), and then head down to your rooms.

The reception is on the 41st floor.. You need to take one elevator to reach the 41st floor and then take another elevator to the floor with your room
When we came to the hotel to check in around 4:30pm, we were told that the room was not ready because the hotel was fully booked the night before.
You have to change lifts just to get from the station entrance to the main hotel lobby, and then you take a third lift to your room floor.

I had vomit all the way from Bentong to your hotel but when arrive just told me waiting there and really long wait for check in.
We were also not given much information at check in regarding breakfasts, shuttles, breakfast in the room etc so missed out a couple of things.
We also really appreciated the hotel’s flexibility with a late check-out, which gave us extra time to enjoy the space and avoid feeling rushed.

Late check in because the room has not yet been cleaned so we need to wait for 30 minutes untill allowed to enter room
The check in is not easy as the lobby is at Lev 41 and need to change lift to get to the room.
G floor no concierge. If you were dropped off to G floor, expect no one to help you carry your bags/luggage up.

It’s a bit of a hassle to switch from the main elevator to the secondary elevator to get to your room.
Despite checking in just after midnight, room service was available and absolutely delicious, saving us from going to bed hungry.
For example, when we requested assistance from a bellboy, it took more than half an hour for them to arrive.

The lobby is located at 41st floor, need to transfer 3 times lift to access to your room.
Check in took hours and the rooms not ready even though it was already late in the afternoon.
We arrived early and were actually able to check in around 2.5 hours early which was lovely

I asked to give me room on any floor but was told the hotel is full.
Annoying: you always need to get to 41th floor and then down to your room.
Of course then you have to use another lift to get to the rooms...

By the time I ordered & received my food, it was already approaching 2am!
At check in we were told that the restaurant stayed open till ten.
Signage to reach the check in lobby needs to be more prominent.

Restaurant: What guests say
View Alila Bangsar Kuala Lumpur – A Hyatt Brand57 relevant reviews
Dining is a major strength, especially Botanica & Co and the French restaurant Entier, praised for tasty, modern food, varied breakfast specialties, desserts, and attentive service. However, breakfast and Western choices can be limited, some dishes were greasy or salty, orders were delayed, restaurants filled up, and Entier had early kitchen closure and a strict under-six child policy.

The food selection was pretty varied for a smaller space, with an egg station, Western section, pastries, a noodle and congee station, and the standout for me, Malaysian and Indian specialties.
When we went in to the restaurant at 9.05 they told us the kitchens had closed at 9, and they would not serve us any food or drink.
The restaurants are constantly fully with no allocations to hotel guests (as the restaurants are not managed by the hotel I was told).

The staff Regie in the restaurant of breakfast catering is very dedicated to the hotel and provides a good image to the hotel.
The restaurant on the 41st floor has the most amazing view and the meal I had there was just out of this world.
Had dinner at Entiere one night and quite good - very tasty but rushed through as told that Kitchen shutting at 9pm.

I ordered fish n chips and woah did it feel like I was just drinking oil. Never had anything this greasy before.
I happened to pass by Alila Bangsar during a short break and decided to stop in for a coffee and cake.
Keep up the great work — I’m already looking forward to my next visit and discovering more of your delicious treats.

Dress code due to our footwear was not allowed - disappointed as we specially booked this hotel to enjoy fine dining.
It’s clear they’ve made a great investment in their dessert team, and it shows in both the creativity and quality.
The "pho" we had said it came with lightly cooked beef slices but bruh... ours was chewy, grey and overcooked.

The breakfast options were also rather limited and the quality of the individual items could have been better for sure.
A bar to sit and have a drink would have been nice as the immediate neighbourhood didn’t offer anything.
There was an amazing restaurant in the same building I thought we'd be getting food from their kitchen but....

In the bar, the gin and tonic was served with tonic from a can. Doesn't fit the ambiance.
I ordered the Alila Signature Cake — a delightful Orange Chocolate Mousse — paired with an iced latte.
F&B from the Botanico (paretner on groudn floor): meh (e.g. plain rice for nasi lemak instead of...lemak rice).

Restaurant staff need to be more careful, they left a slippery area unattended and my uncle fell down.
Atika treats guests like VIPs at the restaurant, adding a personal greeting touch that truly stands out.
Guess their pastry department is putting a lot of effort to craft all these exquisite desserts... 😍

On the same floor is Entier, a French restaurant that is managed independently of the hotel.
One of the highlights of our stay was the dining experience at the hotel's restaurant.
The second one which serve french cusine has a child policy.

And the Bo & Co restaurant on the ground floor.
Very nice cakes there!!! Must visit and try them.
Michelin 2024 french restaurant which I heard is fantastic.

The restaurant downstairs Botanica is also very good.
Breakfast was not very extensive by Western standards.
Nice food and beverage at Botanica Co+.

Parking: What guests say
View Alila Bangsar Kuala Lumpur – A Hyatt Brand45 relevant reviews
Parking is generally not complimentary, with reported charges ranging from RM5 per entry/hour to about RM18–20 for 24-hour or multiple-entry validation. Recurring complaints concern confusing, narrow ramps, unusual driving directions, limited spaces, and three elevator changes to reach rooms. Some guests found it clean, well-lit, and convenient, while one reported overcharging and an unresolved refund.

Parking is not complimentary, it cost 19rm a day (multiple entry) however we are okay with the cost as the parking facilities was great- very clean, very well lit and convenient as well cause you can park on the premium floor (first floor upon entry).
Additionally, we first checked in and decided to head back out and we were charged RM10 for 2 hours parking when we only stayed less than an hour to change and leave (total spent RM46 on just parking for virtually a few hours).
I believe the arrows and directional markings for the way up should be reviewed and made more visible, as they can be easily missed or obstructed, which may cause confusion for first-time guests.

There is no complimentary parking - although a flat fee is charged per day for multiple entries, and can be validated with a Touch and Go card.
In addition, the parking fee was very expensive, and I was overcharged more than RM100 for less than 24 hours, even after adding an extension.
When entered the hotel parking, the driving direction is opposite of our usual drive way, it caused the blind spot area when I turned.

The parking was a bit difficult as you need to go thru 3 different lifts to get to your car from your room
Parking design is weird, a bit hassle to get from the car park to the hotel room but understandable after staff explain.
The hotel allows you to park for just RM 5 per exit and the car park is clean, well lit and nice!

I have yet to receive a refund from Alila, and the communication from the team regarding this matter has been lacking.
The only inconvenience was having to validate our parking card (Tap n Go) at the hotel reception each time we left.
For Guest, rm5 per day (must validate at the reception level 41 before you leave every time - otherwise, it’s rm5/hour)

After parking, we had to change elevators three times just to reach the room, which is unacceptable for a hotel.
The only part that I find out is the way to the parking area, it is quite complicated and confused.
If you use the parking, you have to through 3 different elevators to get to your car every time.

Parking a bit small & needs to pay with flat rate, remember to verify your T&G before exit.
However, after I parked my car and arrived at the lobby, the interior of the hotel surprised me.
Driving around the parking area is difficult because have to keep to the right instead of the left.

Parking design is weird, a bit hassle to get from the car park to the hotel room.
This added inconvenience only worsened our experience and left us questioning the value provided by your hotel.
Upon arrival, you'll need to park your car and proceed to the reception on the 41st floor.

Told to park in front of a giant sign that said 'park at your own risk'.
Created quite some inconvenience having to get a new ticket to exit the parking every day.
Parking was RM20 for unlimited entries, would’ve been better if it was a lower rate.

The way to the parking is opposite from other hotels in Malaysia
No motorbike parking for hotel patrons either which doesn’t make sense.
The inconvenience of the lift and the price of parking

Paying for parking when price of the room is expansive.
Car park fees is required if you drive there.
Unfortunately, this resulted in a minor accident.

Transport: What guests say
View Alila Bangsar Kuala Lumpur – A Hyatt Brand44 relevant reviews
The hotel is directly linked by a sheltered bridge to Bangsar LRT, with KL Sentral one stop away and easy airport access. Free shuttles to nearby destinations are useful but availability and waiting times vary. Reaching rooms from parking or the LRT often requires three lifts, causing delays and confusion; parking is unclear and increasingly expensive.

Getting to the hotel is also very convenient, whether by taxi, which is relatively inexpensive, or via the metro, since Alila is connected by bridge to the train station.
Easy to access from Sentral, where the airport train arrives, then one stop to Bangsar on the red line, easy to use the trains to most places from Sentral.
To get to rooms from ground floor lobby, you have to take a lift up to reception on 41st floor, then another lift to your floor for room

Have to take lift from carpark to lobby, then take lift again to level 41 for checkin lobby , then go to another lift go for hotel rooooommmmmm.
Getting to the room from the parking area required taking three different lifts, which was actually quite inconvenient and annoying. (Approximately, 20mins ish depending on the crowd)
And from car park to room - lift down to ground floor lobby, and another lift to reception 41st floor, and another lift to your room floor

It's inconvenient as we have to take 3 lifts to go from carpark to ground floor, then to lobby and a final lift to the rooms.
This is something that you want to take into the account since you might be coming in and out of the car parks a few times.
That said, I guess that's just the cost to be high up enough to have a spectacular view but still have easy access to transport.

Even if their equivalent of Uber (Grab) was very affordable, being unable to reach a desired destination by foot took away from the experience.
The complimentary chauffer service really helped alot in getting around, to Mid-valley or KL Sentral nearby if you dont feel like taking the LRT.
Just across the sky bridge from bangsar LRT station as well, super easy to get to from the airport with the KLIA ekspres.

They also do provide free chauffeur services to 3 nearby malls in Bangsar, but its subject to availability as it's a sedan vehicle.
I asked for a taxi from reception and they booked me one that 1) wasn't metered 2) cash only 3) had no change.
A little tedious to get to the hotel (3 lift rides if from the LRT). Extremely congested during peak hours if driving.

Taking two elevators to get to the room can take a while, even if generally they are always available straight away.
A one-way car booking was quoted RM150 (GRAB at a surcharge rate was only RM 40) for a 5.5 KM trip.
The "transits" that I have to go thru each time to access to my room, to lobby, to car park

An external laundry service (Jara) is only 3 minutes away, and the hotel is directly connected to the MRT overpass.
There's a bridge walk that connects the hotel to the metro station across the road, which is super convenient.
LRT station which in interconnected to the hotel only one travel station to reach KL central and Nu Central.

The hotel is linked to the Bangsar LRT station making it super convenient to get around the city.
Was told to pick up my stored luggage at ground floor but was still at reception 41st floor.
I was very disappointed with this part of the service and when ordering a taxi, expected a taxi.

The hassle of transferring between lifts from the carpark to the reception and the rooms.
It made me feel as if the person on the desk called a friend....
Hotel shuttle appear to be local taxi with fair bit of waiting time.

Parking is a bit confusing and I couldn't find information from website.
Parking rate has also changed and is more expensive now.
The walkway directly to the train station was convenient.

Gym: What guests say
View Alila Bangsar Kuala Lumpur – A Hyatt Brand18 relevant reviews
The gym is generally clean, well maintained, and appreciated for its city views, often alongside the pool. Equipment is widely described as basic, with cardio machines, benches, free weights up to about 25 kg, and few strength machines; several guests wanted more equipment. It was closed for renovation during some stays.

The gym is quite poorly equipped, free weights up to 25kg and two machines: one for the lower back and one for the biceps - unfortunately no multipress, cable tower, or anything that would allow proper strength training.
The pool and the gym were great and both had a full view on the city centre that was nearby (by car).
There is also a gym that has a cardio equipment (treadmill, elliptical, bike and rowing) and a decent selection of weights/machines.

The gym and swimming pool is excellent especially the swimming pool with the beautiful and ecstatic view.
We love the pool and gym as well as the hot drink facilities with snacks.
The gym was a bit sad...treadmills, ellipticals, and a couple of benches with some dumbbells.

Almost another typical hotel gym with more cardio machines and some free weights.
The gym is also one of my favorite features of this hotel.
Just some free weights (highest is 25 i think) and some machines.

Unfortunately the pool and gym were under renovation when I was there.
The gym and swimming pool was closed during my stay,
From the pool to the gym are beautifully designed.

Used the gym and satisfied with the equipments.
Nobody here does a pull day I guess.
Gym was clean with great view.

Well maintain gym although basic.
Gym wasn’t particularly well equipped.
There is a small gym.

Gym could be better though.
Definitely could use more machines.
Gym is good enuf,

Nice gym and pool
