The fact that the hotel's messaging system via Booking.com was hacked. As soon as the reservation was made, and with every exchange with the hotel via Booking.com, a WhatsApp message arrived asking for your credit card number to confirm the reservation. If you provide it, your card will be used to make cryptocurrency purchases.
There were many shortcomings, but since we were out most of the time, they were generally within an acceptable range. The price remained unchanged, so I think it was a good deal.

The hotel tower is more expensive, and the apartment tower is cheaper. Keep in mind that on Booking.com, “Residence” is written next to the apartments.
I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Kuala Lumpur and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.
For us, this was a one-night stopover while passing through, but above all we wanted a comfortable night's sleep.

It was more expensive than an apartment-style accommodation, but considering the service and peace of mind, we were satisfied.
We loved our stay here because everything was perfect for our us, in fact exceeded our expectations.
It was noisy compared to the hotel rooms, too crowded, but probably due to the long weekend.

For a good price. We booked it very last minute but was still a good price.
Great space but not luxe. Adequate but more can be done to enhance the comfort level.
Shown 5 star in booking.com but in reality it is only 2 star hotel !!!

A hotel that lived up to my expectations for a five-star hotel at this price.
No smart TV for a 4-star hotel :(, only local TV, which I don't understand.
Very disappointed with the overall experience. Could have gotten something better at the same price.

It is definitely not a 5-star hotel. The photos are beautifully taken for advertising.
Overall, a very disappointing stay and definitely not an experience I would repeat.
Wasn’t as clean as you would expect a 5 star hotel.

The hotel is the best we stayed in Kuala Lumpur.
Comfortable stay with excellent service and a great location.
Lovely lovely short stay and will be back

Awesome stay! I would stay here again!!!
It was good experience to stay there.
For sure I strongly recommend it.

Very disappointed with the overall experience.
It was a wonderful family trip.
Dorsett Hotel has two towers.

Hello hotel, but be careful
Modest and not worth repeating
I have fond memories

The location is the best, the cleanless hotel, comfortable and close within walking distance to the main shopping center the Pavilion mall and the main busy street which bukit Bintang. The attraction places close if used grabs taxis.
The location is a plus. It is less than a five-minute walk to Pavilion Mall. It’s a shame that a hotel right across from the Ritz is so run-down.
It’s very close to the nice Arab Street. When you leave the hotel, turn right; the entire route is through the Al-Ras area to Arab Street.

Location is great - 5 mins walk to the metro and monorail, 3 min walk to Pavilion mall and a 15 min walk to Petronas towers.
The “Bila Bila” convenient store located next to the hotel is also a plus point to get snacks and refreshments after a long day of exploration.
It’s within walking distance of Arab Street and Pavilion, but it can be a little difficult if you have children or older people with you.

The location is excellent—just a short walk to Pavilion, Bukit Bintang, and many great cafés and restaurants, making it very convenient to explore the city.
It’s within walking distance of Arab Street and Pavilion, but it’s a bit difficult if you have children or older people with you.
Location is brilliant and very easy for Grab, Coaches and cars to access whilst also being close to the MRT and monorail.

Location was perfectly placed between the major shopping complex of TRX and PAVILION… 10 minutes walk from front and back.
The hotel’s location is fantastic. It’s situated in a great area, making it very easy to get around and explore.
Far too much noise all night long, etc. … truly unacceptable; I had to go down to the front desk.

There was major construction work happening opposite the apartment building with major construction, banging and cement mixing every night.
There was a smell around the area, I think it came from the construction site of the Pavilion Square.
The hotel is close to the Pavillion mall and relatively close to Jalan Alor food street and the train.

The hotel’s location was amazing and close to everything, just a few minutes walk from the city center.
Constant, very loud construction noise (several buildings under construction nearby); the stay was not restful.
The location is very good and convenient, and Grab rides are easy to find.

Location is good and within walking distance to the main attraction in Bukit bintang.
In front of it are the new market, the gardens, and laundries.
The car noises around the area at night is quite disturbing

The location is perfect to go to all the mall
Location is very good. Near so many malls and shops.
Location is good, shopping malls are within walking distance.

Its location and proximity to destinations were excellent.
Good location close to the city center.
Good location with nearby food outlets.

Location - close to shopping malls
Construction next door was noisy.
The location is great.

We had a baby bed + an additional single bed standing in the middle of the dining/living area which we actually did not ask for or need. I understand that the bed might not be possible to store somewhere, but a foldable baby bed could be put somewhere else for convenience and more space. Also in the bedrooms you have a queen bed + additional single bed very close to each other, so it feels very crowded in the rooms with so many extra beds etc. Again, I understand that this is great for big groups, but it feels very crowded if not needed. Also not recommended for disabled as you have to crawl out of your beds then.
The shower holder was unstable, so the showerhead would not point in the desired direction. The water pressure was also mediocre. There was a bathtub, but the plug would not close properly, so it was impossible to fill it with hot water. There was very little toilet paper for a five-night stay. The holder was also wobbly, making it seem as though the paper might fall. Only four bath towels were provided for the shower. There were no face towels or any other amenities at all. Water from the shower overflowed toward the sink, leaving the area in front of the sink soaking wet.

I booked a 2 bed residence. It had a strong smell of sewage. Room was poorly cleaned. No TVs, no towels for hand, 2 blue bath towels which was the strangest thing I ever saw in a supposedly 5 star hotel. My experience was very unpleasant.. I had kids with me, room had to be changed due to the foul smell.
The entrance is spacious, and the living and dining areas are large too. It was not cramped at all even with two large suitcases open. There are two showers and two toilets, which was fine for our family of four. Being able to do laundry and dry clothes in the room was helpful, as it meant we could pack less!
2. A critical need to relook the bathroom design Master bed room - simply add a gap closure at bottom of the glass door to present water from sipping thru the gaps on the floor when showering Guest bathroom - as there is no block, the floor is wet up to toilet bowl area. Really a safety risk

Room furnishing is old and outdated. Upon entering, had a weird smell that lasted for about 2 days before it dissipated. Washer dryer couldn't dry clothes as the drying function doesn't seems to heat up after 2.5hrs. Also no clothes rack to hang clothes to air dry. Toilet floor was a bit sticky and no slippers provided.

For the upgraded mini suite I was put in, it would be nicer if the counter top on the left of the entry door (just below the mirror) is decorated with an artificial pot of flowers to add life to the room.
I booked a suite room (room + living area) it was very old and didn’t even have a spoon to make a coffee. The room looked very old and not taken care of.
The shower tap at times has to be held for the shower to work otherwise mixer falls out of position. Hot water in the basin lukewarm, not hot.

The sofa was dirty, and the marble flooring was somehow not well cleaned. The toilet was okay. The TV was outdated too; it couldn't connect to Netflix.
Cleanliness and maintenance of the unit can be a lot better. Bathroom especially, really not up to hotel standard by a long shot to be honest.
The soundproofing or lack thereof was very disturbing. We were on a very high floor, and could hear neighbors upstairs dragging furniture well into the night.

The room needs to be upgraded, cigarette burns in the sitting chairs, ripped and frayed towels provided in the bathrooms, no hand towels provided.
The hotel tower is more expensive, and the apartment tower is cheaper. Keep in mind that Booking.com says “Residence” next to the apartments.
Of course, the hotel is cleaner, has carpeted floors, and soundproof windows, unlike the apartments in all three of those respects.

The bed and pillow were comfy, so that's fine. The hotel room was in better condition compared to the residences.
Our 2 bedroom at the residence was great with all we need including a mini kitchen, and washing machine.
Oh and as a parent with small kids, clean drinking water available in room is an A+

Some furniture a little outdated but honestly not too much of a big deal for us.
Limited utensils if you were going to self cater but did not affect us.
Lovely air-conditioned apartment (residence) with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a washing machine.

They didn’t do any room service the room didn’t have a towels.
Small details such as: no bottle of water, no tissues provided
- Didn't get the room I booked and paid for.

The bedding was a bit soft and not much support.
Spacious, clean, good value for money and good location
The blankets not clean and not good smell

Every time I call the reception, they keep cancelling my call , I have to keep calling for more than 10 consecutive times then only they give up and they pick up the phone because they see that there is no point of cancelling my call, it is very annoying.
I told the employee at the door that he did not respond and I am still waiting, she give the execuse that this because the time of the open buffet is about to end!! It was as if I am asking them for food!! She finally refilled the fruit dish!!
They seemed to be short staffed. Counter staff seemed mechanical in terms of service. Concierge staff are pleasant. One staff though - mr. magenthiran who provided good reception and service equaling that of a 5 star hotel!

The owner denied the water problems until I brought up previous reviews from people complaining about the same issues. She ultimately provided a small refund upon my insistence.
The recieption staff are all really very supportive, I really appreciated the managment team who works behind the seen for the guest comfort. Thank you very much.

I raised the topic with the owner and we were brought towels ( didn´t get a sorry or cleaning), but hopefully it was sorted once we left.
I called but nobody answered, then we had to put a towel on the floor to soak the water. This was a very unpleasant and unexpected thing.
Compared with apartment-style accommodations owned by individuals, this hotel provided more reliable service at the front desk and elsewhere, and daily cleaning made our stay comfortable.

I went on a birthday trip and they gave me a piece of cake and some snacks as a gift with balloons
The manager was kind, understanding who utilised my previous points to upgrade me in the same room I stayed previously.
We paid about 2,500 yen for cleaning once, but the towels they had apparently used for cleaning were left behind.

The owner denied the water problems until I brought up previous reviews from people complaining about the same issues.
Maybe the staff who have showed us the room could have waited outside instead of entering the room.
Fantastic location, friendly staff, breakfast was lovely (huge selection to choose from) and pool has amazing views.

The staff were so incredibly helpful, with no request being too hard or too much trouble.
They claimed to be busy but this is not ab excuse for a hospitality provider.
I want to credit the staff for being very kind and welcoming throughout our visit.

They claimed to be busy but this is not ab excuse for a hospitality provider.
We also had to request bath towels which they they organised without any issue
The staff , some of them were good, some of them were not nice

The staff were extremely rude, and their attitude was cold and unprofessional.
The person in charge of cleaning is very helpful and efficient.
And no response from the host—too bad about this deplorable behavior.

When I complained they change it but without view.
Security at the bottom helpful and friendly.
The staff are friendly and helpful

Staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Very friendly and welcoming staff.
The housekeeping service needs improvement,

Also, the breakfast choices need to be more diverse. We could not enjoy the breakfast as the dishes were strange to us, and it was difficult to know what to eat.
When i asked the waiter refill the fruit dish, he took the dish and I remained wating for him, but it turned out that he did mot go to refill.
I asked the staff to refill the cube rice (nasi impit) because the peanut sauce still a lot, and spicy fried chicken also finished but nasi lemak still a lot!

Breakfast could have done better by topping up food. (eg: stated chilli prawn but no more prawns by 9+am. Breakfast is till 10.30am) but breakfast was good.
Breakfast buffet had an extensive variety on offer however it did not have as much variety of my preferred foods as I would have liked.
Breakfast was so-so. We were expecting it to be great so we could overlook the rest. So, it definitely needs improvement.

My siblings had constant diarrhea and vomiting after eating the food at the hotel breakfast (a few minutes later).
The breakfast was good compared with other hotels I stayed at in Penang and Kuala Lumpur; it was wonderful.
Fantastic location, friendly staff, breakfast was lovely (huge selection to choose from) and pool has amazing views.

Breakfast doesn't have a lot of selections but is enough for the beginning of the day.
The slight changes on the food variety for the breakfast since my last stay.
There are a lot of people at breakfast, which is good but nothing special.

There is a breakfast buffet, although it is more like an evening buffet.
Breakfast was nothing special. No condiments to add for egg on order.
The breakfast was almost the same every day with 1-2 dishes different.

Breakfast was great with a huge variety to choose from
The breakfast was more East Asian in style than continental.
Wish there were more variety and options for breakfast buffet.

The breakfast is good and has a reasonable variety.
Need to improve on the food taste and variety
The Breakfast was good, A variety of options available.

Lack of food means ur team dosent prepare well
The breakfast is decent, with a reasonable variety.
The breakfast is nice, also with vegetarian choice.

And a great breakfast buffet though very busy
The excellent and very generous breakfast.
The quality and taste was average.

The breakfast was very disappointing.
And great breakfast
Good breakfast

Not long waiting times for elevator ( big topic in this area as in some buildings you wait up to 15 min)
The internet did not work for the entirety of my stay. the issue was never resolved. This was a major inconvenience.
We paid about 2,500 yen once to have the room cleaned, but the towels apparently used for cleaning were left behind.

Facilities were old and some not very clean... in particular our hairdryer was so dusty and unusable.
The welcome drinks in the hotel lobby are not refilled for customers who just arrived after 2pm.
The lobby looks a bit rundown for a 5 Star rated hotel. The lighting is not enticing.

The elevator needs maintenance, especially the mechanism, as it makes noises when going up and down.
Kudos for the eco-friendly initiatives: no plastic water bottles, and the option to forgo room cleaning.
Didn't use any of the facilities like the pool so can't comment on that.

The dumpster to throw away your trash is at the back of the hotel.
The dumpster to throw away your trash is at the back of the hotel.
Their friendly attitude was much appreciated, even if the maintenance issues weren't solved.

The hotel is clean, and the surroundings can help calm your mind 👍🏼
The TV channels most if them were off due to subscription expiry..
As people specifically book the hotel for certain facilities

Security and number of guard on the ground floor
Has all my needs like the washer/dryer and microwave.
On the top most floor provides great view

Big shared space with full kitchen and laundry.
The Wi-Fi was not to that level.
A convenience store at level one.

Facilities are not upto the standard
The water dispenser didn’t look clean.
Cleanliness was up to standard

Hygiene could have been better,
Clean the place and area
The property was not clean.

Internal decor is good
Clean and quiet
The facilities, including

There was a lack of sunbeds around the pool and when requesting more were told not possible, guests had to sit on floor around the pool
The rooftop pool was clean, and there was also a small play area for children, so we enjoyed it.
The rooftop pool was clean, and there was a small play area for children, so we enjoyed it.

Property have two pools in two different buildings but I didn't see anyone monitoring the pools for emergencies.
Fantastic location, friendly staff, breakfast was lovely (huge selection to choose from) and pool has amazing views.
There was a large rooftop pool with a view in our building, and the children were delighted!

We did not even go to the pool at the hotel; it did not look as interesting.
It was also not mentioned that you don’t get access to the infinity pool
And the two swimming pools

Rooftop Pool an added bonus.
With rooftop infinity pool
The pool was amazing.

Location of outdoor pool
The swimming pool
Swimming pool lovely

Like the pool
- Infinity pool
And swimming pool.

Nice pool

Car park is super tight and difficult to maneuvre due to small entrance and 90 degree turn basement to find parking lots. Big car such as Vellfire will find it difficult going in and out.
Visitor carpark is limited on a first come first serve basis. Have to park at opposite open carpark for RM10 if visitor carpark is full.
Visitor carpark is limited on a first come first serve basis. Have to park at opposite open carpark for RM10 if visitor carpark is full.

The parking is narrow, with limited space. If you bring a large car, pray hard that it does not scrape against the walls.
Had to park at the public carpark opposite the apartment when its full.
First time encounter a service apartment dont provide carpark access fully.

Nothing but the Parking could be complimentary. It would help.
The parking space was quite limited and a bit tight.
Carpark access based on first come first serve basis.

There was no valet parking service either
1. Limited car park
Less secure to me.

With limited parking

3) The Door at side entrance at the Hotel Lobby should be opened as an alternative for “already checked in” Guest entrance and exit to Pavillion to ease the congestion of the front entrance
And we want checkout late , because our flight is in night but they gave us 01:30 and we told them our flight is night , but I fortunately no body care
Check in staff was not the most helpful, not clear with instructions like where breakfast is and time of breakfast.

* Hotel Front entrance strictly for Guest “check in and check out” with luggage and those waiting for Grab Rides
Check in was not smooth and I went to the resident security entrance
No assistance on check in with getting our bags to our room.

Abit hazard during check in ...since i am alone
Able to get late check out.
Easy check in and out

- Early check in
Who made check-in
Check in

Charged 3x from booking.com and called for claim back the money, too many protocol. Submitted whatever they're requested but haven't received any refund or return from them. Don't want use this apps anymore.
Also, it would be good if there were traffic lights or pedestrian crossings right outside the hotel. A bit hard to cross the busy roads esp since many roadworks around
After every trip, take a taxi from the expressway to the hotel; before it, there is a station with a McDonald’s.

2) Hotel Front pathway way is very narrow for guest entrance and exit and waiting for Grab rides
Free shuttle at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. to Chinatown/Central Market.
Out of KL location is easily accessible through Grab Rides .

Traffic noise ( racing motorbikes, sirens all night long) etc.
The internet doesn’t work most of the time…
Also Monorail was very close, 5-10 minutes walk.

Except for the internet

Mainly the gym wasn't to expectations at all..
Gym was too small and closed early.
Gym equipment was also in poor condition.

And gym, were great.
Plus gym
And gym.

And gym
