Guests most often praise the friendly, exceptional staff, cleanliness, comfortable rooms, peaceful atmosphere, facilities, breakfast, and central location for sightseeing and KLCC. Many say they would return. Some felt the hotel did not meet five-star expectations; other reported drawbacks include air-conditioning limitations, a busy visit, limited flexibility, high prices, and a charge for an accidentally broken water bottle.

Overall, this was a memorable stay at a truly lovely hotel. Officially, I think this hotel is rated 5* and in my opinion, it fully earns every star awarded to its name. If you're staying in Kuala Lumpur, I would highly recommend staying at the Crowne Plaza, even if it isn't the cheapest in the area!
7. The last point is very important: don’t book early. The earlier you book, the more expensive it is—they’re just taking advantage of Chinese guests. There was no welcome fruit or anything like that. If you book early, they won’t let you cancel. They’re just trying to rip off as many people as they can.
7. The last point is very important: absolutely do not book early. The earlier you book, the more expensive it is. They’re just scamming Chinese people. There was none of the promised welcome fruit or anything else. If you book early, they won’t let you cancel. They really just fleece whoever they can.

Unfortunately, I was charged 5 MR for breaking glass water bottle unintentionally. Even though the amount is negligible, however I didn’t like how such five stars hotel treats the customers! With such cheap management call definitely I would never ever think to stay at such cheap hotel.
For KL standards, value for money falls a bit short since in KL much more luxurious hotels than this one may cost equally.
My suggestion is to offer water and pure juice ( not the juice with sugar that we appeared to have received).

We had an amazing stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel in KLCC.
As it was a new hotel, the property is still in good condition. Well managed and maintained.
We had to stay at this hotel instead. Once inside, it is very nice and tidy.

Clean and spacious 5* hotel, but not walkable to all the key attractions in KL
As I said earlier this was the best hotel I’ve been in .
Reasonable price / quality. I would recommend the hotel and visit again.

One of the best hotels we have stayed at, with high-quality amenities
To be honest everything was great just pillows can be better.
This hotel is truly exceptional with its warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Looking forward to staying here again on our next trip!
Next whenever I visit will prefer staying at Crowne Plaza.
Our two-day stay at the Crowne Plaza was wonderful.

Relaxing stay with a very accommodating and supporting staff!
Overall, the hotel leaves nothing to be desired.
The cheapest hotel I have ever dealt with.

My home away from home, lovely people,
Everything in this hotel was just excellent.
New hotel in the heart of KL

Top hotel in a prime location!
A very positive experience staying here!
I think everything was in order.

Not really a good choice..
I have nothing to complain.
You will love this hotel

Staff: What guests say
View Crowne Plaza Kuala Lumpur City Centre by IHG211 relevant reviews
Staff are repeatedly praised as friendly, welcoming, professional, and attentive, with several guests highlighting helpful service in the lounge, at reception, and throughout the hotel. Individual staff members are credited with thoughtful assistance, including recovering a guest’s lost backpack and arranging a birthday room decoration. A few reports mention service shortcomings, such as a long wait while staff searched for a reservation and inexperienced front-desk handling.

I specifically would like to thank Ameen and Irfan for their assistance to me. I forgot my backpack in the taxi I rode from the airport. This contained very essential personal stuff such as my credit cards, my house keys, my car keys among others. At once they asked me for my taxi receipt and from there they were able to contact the taxi company and eventually the driver. While waiting, they gave me feedback every now and then as to the driver's whereabouts until I finally got my backpack back. That was a very scary experience for me but the helpfulness of Ameen and Irfan had me assured that I would be well taken cared of. And indeed I was. In the 4 days that I stayed in the hotel, if we meet, they would start a very jovial conversation with me starting my day right. I hope there would be more of them in this world. May they and their families be blessed.
For example when I need help to add some extra baggage on my flight from Kuala Lumpur to Penang with Air Asia , I really don’t know how to contact them so I call the Operator of the Hotel to connect me to Air Asia then Miss EANN is on duty that day and she asked me whether I need any help ? Of course I say Yes , since I am not good on computer how to go about to add that extra baggage then she manage to help me to solve all my problem and did it all with patient and smile always .
After waiting for more than a month and both private and public notifications regarding this mishap, it looks like they finally made a refund. For that, I say: thanks. Still, it could have been done a little sooner and without the need to make noise about it. There was absolutely no communication (even here, my reply seemed to be ignored - perhaps it wasn't, but I simply don't know), nor did someone say "sorry".

The reception staff are exploitative. On the first day, they asked me for a large amount as a room deposit. I refused, and they fined me 450 ringgit for a little dirt on the sheet, which is completely normal. I refused, and the employee started shouting. I think she has a mental health problem.
I really appreciated that my request made earlier was meet. I would also like to appreciate Mohamed at the front desk that attended to me. He was kind and patient, jovial and answered all my questions.
Despite that, the doorman are stellar and the front desk staff were kind, just lacking in experience behind the computer which seems to be about half the job.

It was really wonderful; we received a marvelous welcome, and the staff always have a kind word to say and take such good care of you!
The staff’s kindness and helpfulness are simply incredible. I don’t have the words. I was deeply touched by so much kindness and sincerity.
The hotel service was next level. The staff are so friendly and polite. They couldn’t do enough for you.

Due to this i was expecting at least an excellent service from the staff but was not ok.
Very very helpful and was one of the good choice we made despite the disaster with our flight.
And all staff were excellent. Duty manager Aina went out of her way to help us.

Whether it was assistance with directions or recommendations for exploring Kuala Lumpur, their service was exceptional.
I like when you need help almost for anything if they know they will help .
So I’d say maybe increase the personnel when you know you’re running at capacity

We had a crying baby and did not put any effort to help.
The staff were so lovely and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble.
As the morning manager came to know my wife was unwell

Some improvements on the service side to be 5 stars
The last minute booking is taken care of with care.
Manager on duty, Jon, made our stay really pleasant

The staff who made our stay even better
Extremely friendly, courteous and helpful staff. Especially Ryan.
The staff are kind, cheerful, and attentive.

A big thank-you to the evening-shift waitress
Reservation team aren't cooperative with residents
Staff were very polite and professional.

As well as stunning staff
And staff were very friendly.
The staff were very friendly.

Rooms: What guests say
View Crowne Plaza Kuala Lumpur City Centre by IHG174 relevant reviews
Rooms are often described as spacious, comfortable, modern, and well furnished, with soft bedding, large bathrooms, and attractive city or tower views; soundproofing also earns praise. However, cleanliness is inconsistent: several guests report stained sheets and towels, dirty bathrooms, or mildew and smoke smells. Air conditioning can be noisy or hard to regulate, and some guests note limited amenities or delayed housekeeping.

Aircon in room impossible to set up for the right temperature. Needs to be fixed. Also And a bit loud when is on. Soundproof is not done well. Somehow through the window frame you can hear people next door so when hotel gets busy this can get annoying for guests as they hear each other. So be aware of this.
That one could not place the suitcase on luggage rack if one had to hang one’s trousers in the open closet. Lack of towel hangers in bathroom. (But this seems to be so in most hotels). The bathrobes are too heavy for a hot climate. The plug to boil hot water is difficult to access .No paper to write on
The room was fine, but here too the minibar was empty, there were no snacks, just a kettle, a few Nescafé sticks and tea bags, two bottles of water, no writing paper or pencil… everything is done on the cheap…. I expected much better from an establishment that claims to be five-star..

The room was cleaned every day, and the bed linen was changed daily as well. Everything in the room is new, from the pillows to the towels. There is an iron and an ironing board. The bathroom is clean and tidy. It has everything you need and even more.
The room cleaning was a little strange :) They emptied one trash can, but the other one was still full, just as before. They didn’t replace the water, even though we’d run out, and they didn’t leave any toilet paper :) We managed, of course, but were surprised)))
Only the rooms on one side have views, and they're really good, especially from higher up. The soundproofing is just OK, but in the range of Southeast Asian standards. The rooms have everything you need and look very upscale for a Crowne Plaza.

It was very clean and the room was beautifully furnished – everything i had hoped for a luxurious weekend staycation. the room was absolutely gorgeous, lovely bathroom and i especially enjoyed the rounded couch and coffee table where we could have our takeaway.
Housekeeping door sign did not light up, housekeeping missed my room on one of the days, electricity for power sockets went out on one of the days, room air conditioning didn’t seem to respond when I changed the temperature / fan speed,
Rooms are new and very nicely decorated and furnished. Actually, might be one of the most functional rooms I've stayed in. The lights and sockets are exactly in the places where they should be, the desk and chair are very confortable.

Faisal: dang, what a hero, always knows my routine, make up room prior gym session and I am back to the hotel for a quick shower and head to the board meeting in Malaysian office, my room is very pulchritudinous.
The bed was fantastic. Everything is new and very clean. Lovely bed linen, lovely thick white towels, water, coffee, and tea. The bathroom had everything you need. I felt very comfortable.
I visited five hotels, then returned to Crowne Plaza because of the huge difference in the quality of the rooms, furniture, and bathrooms. A truly luxurious room.

Towels, bed sheets, pillow cases all come with dirts. I am not sure if it is blood or colors of other things.
1. The room wasn’t cleaned properly. When I first went in, there was used toothpaste left behind by the previous guest.
Very clean and comfortable beds. The room was very spacious, large TV, good interior design, and large bathroom space.

Whenever the room gets cleaned and towels get changed, the new cases come with dots as well.
The rooms do not have a view of the towers, and the glass is not reflective.
Space was nice, room was beautiful, but cleanliness was very disappointing and not comfortable.

Room could have been a little bigger but they were very modern and clean
Bad air conditioning, groups of repairmen in my room trying to fix it.
The room is superb and the facilities inside are great and new.

The room was clean and comfortable, with a really nice view.
For a five-star hotel, the room should be cleaned every day.
Clean room. Lovely bathroom with bath and good shower. Soft sheets.

Our spacious room offered stunning city views, including the twin towers.
Nothing except that the air conditioning could have been cooler.
A clean and tidy room, with a nice view :)

My room did not have much of a view
The rooms are spacious and you feel very comfortable,
The bed was wonderful. Impeccable sheets and towels.

Location: What guests say
View Crowne Plaza Kuala Lumpur City Centre by IHG141 relevant reviews
The hotel is centrally located in KLCC, typically a 5–15-minute walk from the Petronas Towers and Suria Mall, with nearby restaurants, cafés, shops, and attractions. Some guests report construction, uneven or sun-exposed sidewalks, traffic and occasional motorcycle noise; others note limited nearby shops or public transport, and one mentions a poor construction-site view.

The hotel is a 15-minute walk from the Petronas Towers and KLCC, tucked between an Ibis and residential towers, with the highway and vacant lots on one side, and construction sites converted into parking lots and a very busy road on the other. Makeshift sidewalks are fully exposed to the sun, and there are no shops nearby, unlike other hotels in the same category, which are in a lively, pleasant, green neighborhood and the same distance from the towers..
And location is great, a few restaurants, marts and spas around. the location is great, yet not walkable for everyone I would presume as you have to cross a larger road and not all sidewalk towards KLCC are fixed/in good shape. It didnt bother us too much (mid 30s couple) but this might be a point for others.
The location was also good as the hotel is close to KLCC station on the Kelana-Jaya MRT Line, as well as the Petronas Twin Towers (a must see!) and lots of places to eat. The location also felt quite safe and secure.

It was in close proximity to KLCC i.e. Suria and the petronas towers, however it was not close to public transport or any other restaurants around the area. Bukit bintang, chinatown etc were all a decent distance away.
Location. There are few very small groceries nearby. If you need any proper food or supermarket, you have to walk 10/15 mins to Petronas always. Not a big problem but wasn't expected at all.
The hotel is located a walking distance away from the twin towers and have food areas nearby that are usually open for dinner onwards. There are also several malls in the twin tower area.

The hotel’s location is good. It’s a 10-minute walk, and the Petronas Towers are right in front of you. There’s a delicious restaurant nearby, as well as a grocery store and Starbucks.
The hotel is located in KLCC, a 5-minute walk from the Petronas Towers. The hop-on hop-off buses stop there. Restaurants, shopping malls, other attractions—lots of things are in the immediate vicinity.
The hotel’s location in relation to the centre of Kuala Lumpur was excellent. A ten-minute walk to the Petronas Twin Towers and the shopping malls. Excellent restaurants right near the hotel.

There is a Suria mall close by which has an extensive choice of food of all types of cuisines. Also some of the best Brands for clothing and other items.
A 9 min walk to the Petronas Towers and Suria Mall. Location is manageable. Some choices of small restaurants nearby the hotel and few 24 hour convenient stores walking distance.
I’m also positive that they will work through these issues in time for their big opening in Feb, and eventually one of the choice hotels in the area.

One of the best locations you can get in Kuala Lumpur as it's close to KLCC and Hot spots in the city
The hotel is perfectly located, making it very convenient to explore the city’s main attractions, shopping areas, and dining spots.
The location is perfect, right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, with easy access to everything.

And of course to mention the proximity to the Petronas Towers and Suria Mall.
The location is also very good, within walking distance to the Petronas tower.
10 minute walk to nearest attraction the Petronas towers and the Mrt.

I hated that the area OUTSIDE this beautiful hotel was dirty.
It was an oasis of peace in a busy bustling city.
The road leading to the hotel very uneven under foot

The hotel is only a 5/10min walk from Petronas towers.
In a decent location few minutes away from KLCC.
With a perfect location near the Petronas Towers

And the view from top was stunning.
The only good thing is the location.
Location wise, it's not the greatest

And central to KLCC area.
The best of Kuala Lumpur.
Along with the location.

Breakfast: What guests say
View Crowne Plaza Kuala Lumpur City Centre by IHG138 relevant reviews
Breakfast is repeatedly praised for its generous, varied buffet, mixing Malaysian and other Southeast Asian dishes with Western options. Guests highlight fresh omelettes, roti and other cooking stations, daily-changing dishes, and good quality. Recurring complaints include weak or unreliable machine coffee; a few report cold cooked food, limited fruit, or a disappointing spread.

Breakfast was very busy and the western options were limited; we had it on the first day but didn't go back for the second and third morning. I expected better in terms of choice and quality. The bacon is fake, chicken sausage and both were not replenished so i waited a long time for not very nice food. The egg station was busy as a member of staff was standing there with around 10 orders from other tables. I ended up just having toast and fruit.
Do we could go right ahead and have arrival drinks and snacks. The club room staff were fantastic, remembering how we liked our drinks Breakfast was superb, amazing choice If I had to find a negative it would be the cooked breakfast was chicken sausage and bacon. It was not the warmest which was a shame. However there were so many other choices
The hotel breakfast is exceptional! I am impressed by the high quality of the food. Although the variety of options is not extensive, it's evident that each dish is prepared fresh and with great attention to detail. The ingredients are top-notch, and you can really taste the difference in every bite. This breakfast truly enhances the overall experience of staying at the hotel.

Being very picky in the scheme of things but I wish they had a bit more of a fruit selection at breakfast, one morning there were banana’s the next morning there was not and would be nice to have berries as well. The coffee from the machine was also not great.
At breakfast I was pleasantly surprised that some things change every day and there's always something new to look forward to. Maybe one thing that could be improved is the coffee from the machines, for me it could be more flavourful coffee beans and more frothy milk foam.
The breakfast was pretty good; everything was tasty, everyone was very welcoming, and there was no hustle and bustle or queues. You can try something interesting. The only thing was that the coffee was bad, but that’s a minor detail.

Amazing breakfast with rotating varieties and several service stations including roti, egg and noodle stations. You can also adapt the style of breakfast you want to basically any sort of breakfast. You can eat really healthily if you like.
The breakfast buffet selection wasvery good , but I think it would be better if tea/coffee was served to you by a server as the machines were not working well the day we were there.
Breakfast buffet was very tasty and plentiful. Specialty coffees, various types of bread, pastries, sweet spreads, fresh fruit, and hot Asian dishes, changing daily. There was nothing they didn’t have!

We didnt try the breakfast in the lounge as the breakfast downstairs was vast with everything you could think of. We definitely are missing the freshly made omelettes.
Good breakfast. There was plenty of everything here. I would have liked a little more European food. You could order most things. Really good pancakes and waffles 😄
The breakfast was amazing, would highly recommend. It's a buffet and the items are changed from day to day, we liked everything we tried while there.

And the tea was the best English breakfast tea we have had in 2 months around SE Asia so that was a nice find.
And what can I say about breakfast: pancakes and waffles made to order, fresh fruit juice, very good pastries…
Breakfast is good with a wide spread of food selections that’s the most important thing for me!

The breakfast was amazing with lots of different variety and some changes every day.
4. Breakfast costs RM 88 per person, and it’s really not worth it.
Breakfast less than acceptable (stone cold and rolls that were so

Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of dish choices...
Breakfast was first class. Great choice, super quality. Perfect.
And the breakfast is exceptionally delicious with a variety.

Breakfast was always the highlight for us.
The Malaysian rice with coconut was excellent.
The breakfast buffet is good and variety.

The breakfast with freshly made omelette
They said they didn’t have it
The breakfasts were tasty and varied.

Breakfast coffee could be better.
Breakfasts to suit every taste.
Breakfast buffet was adequate.

Facilities: What guests say
View Crowne Plaza Kuala Lumpur City Centre by IHG66 relevant reviews
Guests repeatedly described the hotel and its facilities as exceptionally clean, modern, fresh, and well maintained. The club lounge was often praised, and guests liked the rooftop terrace and bar views. Complaints included unpleasant odors on some floors, slow or poorly ventilated elevators, fire-alarm testing at night, limited equipment, and pricey drinks and minibar items.

In the working space there are no pin plugs to the EU. In the room it was possible to charge a laptop with an EU plug but in working space you can't work, have to buy an adapter or work for half a day and go back to your room. Additionally before dinner it is very crowded and noisy because everyone is waiting in the working space area.
And there was no cooling in the elevators which made the room stuffy especially when returning to the room already very hot and uncomfortable from the outside weather conditions and elevator rides were uncomfortable with no cooling or ventilation in them.
There was also a small black device in the hallway which appeared to be something designed to clean the air which indicates staff knows about the smell and still sent me to that floor.

The room, like the rest of the hotel, was immaculately clean, so full credit goes to the housekeeping team for keeping the place tidy.
Had a panic moment when I couldn't open the sliding door lock at the men's wash room on L.13 near the office suite.
- Impossible to sleep because the fire alarm goes off at 6 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. several nights in a row.

I would suggest checking air conditioning system & vents of every room especially those that have not been used, please.
The lobby, bar, and concierge share a small hall whose ambient fragrance strongly reminded me of hair-removal cream,
It's a brand new hotel that you can still feel - everything is super fresh, new and clean.

We were also alerted the night before on the hotel’s plan to test fire alarm the next morning.
Several days of fire safety tests with the alarm, but oh well, it’s not a big deal.
Did not want to use the hotel’s wifi, so connection was a bit slow at times.

While waiting for our room to be ready, spent a good time at hotel club lounge
They take safety seriously too. There was always someone including security in front of the hotel.
I wish I were able to do their Sunday brunch which looked amazing!

The equipment is missing many things. You have to ask extra for them.
The air conditioning in the lobby and dining area was much too cold.
Everything was super modern, from the stylish interiors to the state-of-the-art facilities.

Designed to be relaxing, all you need is inside the hotel!!
Excellent facilities, Extremely well presented and clean everywhere in the hotel.
(although a small rooftop bar would be a nice addition).

Amenities are available anytime I want to use them.
The facilities are average as any other hotel.
As was the rest of the hotel.

No welcome drink on arrival.
In the club lounge
And wifi works fine.

And great facilities.
Very modern amenities
Club lounge

Pool: What guests say
View Crowne Plaza Kuala Lumpur City Centre by IHG65 relevant reviews
The rooftop infinity pool, mainly on the 33rd floor, is a standout for its striking city views, including a glass walkway and appealing evening swims. Guests often describe it as clean, quiet and relaxing, though some find it small or occasionally crowded, with too few loungers. It closes early (reports range from 7 to 10 p.m.), has no food or drink service, and can be cold or windy.

The facilities made this hotel a really enjoyable place to stay, as it featured an infinity pool on the 33rd floor and a gym. I would highly recommend visiting the pool between 21:00 - 22:00 (when it closes) as not only is it quieter at that time, but swimming beneath the evening sky makes for a more atmospheric swim!
At times, traditional Chinese music was playing constantly at a high volume. Even by the pool, it was impossible to relax because the speakers were right next to the sun loungers.
And even after that, until it was time to leave for the airport at 10:30 p.m., we could use the hotel facilities, such as the pool.

What I’ll remember is the rooftop swimming pool. Part of the floor is made of glass. You have to be comfortable looking down into the depths.
Pool on 33rd floor has a good view but I can get very windy and you almost want to leave. Cold water in pool and jacuzzi.
And the pool was lovely too, could do with a few more beds at certain times but not really a problem.

The pool was nice and private, which gave you a very good view of KL, which was stunning at night!
The pool area had no atmosphere and nowhere to get food or drinks (at least obviously if you can)
Maybe one, but its okay. Due to raining, the swimming pool is closed for safety reason. But its fine.

The pool is relaxing and has a good view, just know that there is no service there (no F&B).
The rooftop pool offered stunning city views, but it could get a little crowded at times.
Management asked twice to advise bathers in pool who were in using underwear to refrain.

The amenities, including the pool and gym, were top-notch – everything felt fresh and well-maintained.
The pool is on the 33rd floor and has a glass walkway for taking photos.
At guests’ request, the hotel offered an alternative place to swim at another hotel.

Pool temp was a little chilly and a tad shallow but hardly a problem
The pool is also very nice, located more or less on the top floor
The rooftop pool was closed for renovations from February 19 to March 5.

Nice rooftop pool though air conditioning system on the roof was very loud.
The rooftop pool was beautiful with an amazing view of the city.
The swimming pool area needs more attention. It was untidy and unattended.

The pool is also worth visiting for a dip and a relax.
As well the pool area with big sized pool and jacuzzi.
We therefore sadly didn’t have the opportunity to use the pool

A few too few sun loungers by the pool
The swimming pool is only open until 7 p.m.
And enjoyed the infinity pool at the terrace.

And the rooftop pool was very good.
A lovely pool with a beautiful view.
Nice pool on the 33rd floor

Restaurant: What guests say
View Crowne Plaza Kuala Lumpur City Centre by IHG54 relevant reviews
Many guests praise the food as delicious, varied and high quality, especially dinner, the seafood buffet, Merchant and club-lounge canapés. However, experiences are inconsistent: some report mediocre set or half-board dinners, cold buffet dishes, greasy lunch and very slow restaurant service. Le Midi’s kitchen closed before its advertised midnight closing, and room-service choices and ordering were also criticized.

We had dinner at the Le Medi restaurant. It was an absolute failure. No one had anything under control. Our mussels were cold and very small. They were reheated, but were still cold, with no dip, salt or pepper
At the Le Midi restaurant, they close at 12 a.m., but we went at 11:00 p.m. and couldn't eat anything because the kitchen was already closed. I think that information should be made clear from the start.
Only criticism Sunday buffet lunch at le MIDI. Fish had been frozen but full of water ( disappointing) - most of the other food should have been served warm but was cold.

I thought the food served of an evening was of the same exacting standard and in some cases, we actually preferred eating at the hotel than eating out!
The service from merchant restaurant is so slow,we ordered food ,and only us in the restaurant,it takes almost 45 min to get.but thank god the food was superb!
App on TV could be better. Not so convenient to order food through QR, the web site isn't working well and had no photos of meals.

Dining at the hotel's restaurant was a delightful experience. The variety of dishes offered was impressive, catering to both local and international tastes.
The breakfast area (Merchants) and the club lounge are both nicely designed, with enough space for all the people and a good spread.
Arrived to be told they did not serve alcohol as they have no alcohol licence!! Also the restaurant isn't open until March!!

They were very keen on ensuring that our tables were reserved as we had a particular time for our meals.
There is no good variety of options in the room service menu and the restaurants can be better.
Also they were trying to charge me RM 1740 extra as food bill which we didn't order.

And we'd suggest adding a few more snack options to make it even better for families.
And to top it all off, the selection and quality of food was perfect, reasonably priced.
Food variety need little improvement to be more international and specifically suite people from Mediterranean side

We had dinner there 3 evenings and we can say food there is pretty good taste.
We tried the hotel promotion set jom dulang at Merchant and it was very good.
- Too many gnats in the room service kitchen; the food they send contains gnats.

And from 1730-1930 free drinks and canapés. The food during the cocktails was amazing,
We enjoyed the club lounge in the evening and food and beverages were great.
I disappointed renounced to the discount as I had to rash to the airport!!

We also had lunch at Rhymba lobby lounge and Ain is very friendly.
A la carte lunch was very uninspiring and not particularly well cooked (greasy)
Above all the food is very wide variety thag is also tasty .

Unfortunately the restaurants on the 33rd floor was not ready for opening yet.
My wife had food poisoning from another restaurant in town.
However ordering food through the hotel app was straightforward

And dinner were varied and delicious.
The merchant restaurant food is delicious,
The food service is excellent.

Check-in / Check-out: What guests say
View Crowne Plaza Kuala Lumpur City Centre by IHG50 relevant reviews
Check-in and check-out were often described as smooth and polite, with some guests receiving early room access or complimentary late check-out. However, several reported long waits at reception, even without a crowd. Billing concerns included duplicate card holds, unexpected food charges, and deposits whose release was delayed.

Another problem I faced is double marking of my credit card for the accommodation payment. Staff at reception earmarked my credit card for the entire amount plus RM 400 extra for 4 nights stay. I told him to charge me, but he didn't do that. He earmarked. At the checkout time I was surprised when they were charging me again for the entire amount. It's double marking your card limit which is totally unnecessary as on the first instance I told him to charge. Now a big amount is stuck in my card which is yet to be released. I don't know when its going to be released back to my card.
Once I left the property I was told that my deposit would be returned, because the extras were paid separately, as listed on the invoice that I received. Instead, they finalised the (up until then) pending transaction a few days later, even though the person at the desk said it would be canceled to return my money.
Checking in is a nightmare; you really have to wait, and you can't just walk in and book a room because there were still 10 people waiting ahead of you. We could only proceed after booking online.

2. Privacy concerns. The fact that hotel staff came to check on the snacks & drinks in the fridge while guest still in the room before check out time is a little inconvenient, although with permission.
5. The front desk staff treat people differently depending on who they are. They can speak Chinese but wouldn’t do so, even when I asked. Then, when I checked out, they suddenly spoke Chinese.
The whole period im stuck at front desk doing check in, I could see front desk it’s like chicken & duck communicating with China patrons doing check in & out..

If you book through booking.com, be ready that they will only let u check in at 3pm even when you indicated or requested for early check in upon booking .
As we came when it opened, the staffs needed more time to prepare or check the rooms so a few people were waiting. Moving forward, waiting time can be reduced.
Most problematic was their billing system. At the checkout time, I found totally unnecessary food bills added which should not be the case as those were within our package.

The check-in experience was very efficient, with the member of staff allowing us to access our room THREE HOURS before we were due to check in (wow!).
At exactly 12noon we got a call from the reception, not for us to check out but to ask if we would like a late check out
Faisal at the front desk was instantly thoughtful of our late arrival and automatically gave us a late check out time which helped a lot

At my checkout, the discount was not applied as the front desk had not the feedback from the restaurants and need to check further.
At the time of my check in the hotel was relative new, and i was upgraded on arrival due to IHG status.
Despite advance payments, the full trip cost was placed on hold on the credit card again as a security deposit upon arrival

She really show us a very welcome come upon checking in with her big sweet smile on her face.
We were staying in a club room and our check in formalities were completed in the club lounge
I asked for late checkout (being Platinum member i am entitled to) and didn't go as planned.

At the check-in the hotel informed I have 20% of discount for food ordered a la card.
We escorted to the room after checked in by Noradila which make the arrival experience very special.
To the hotel at 0030 hrs to find that they had on sold our hotel room.

There were some confusions at the check out but they were quick enough to fix it.
From beginning I have requested an early check-in but they told it depends on availability,
On our departure day, we were allowed to keep using our room until 3:00 p.m.

Treated me with tough punishment rules despite of extension of nights .
The experience from checking in to checking out was amazing.
Check in me upon arrival - Ms Rose.

When something went wrong with our booking.
Easy check in and check out.
And early check-in was available too.

Gym: What guests say

Guests often found the gym clean and well equipped, with one praising its 24-hour access. The fitness center is on the 33rd floor, with a magnificent view, fresh citrus water, and towels. Some guests felt it was small, with limited equipment, or below expectations for the property.

Faisal: dang, what a hero, always knows my routine, make up room prior gym session and I am back to the hotel for a quick shower and head to the board meeting in Malaysian office, my room is very pulchritudinous.
The fitness center is on the top floor (33rd) and, in addition to a magnificent view, offers a good selection of equipment. Small towels and fresh citrus water were available there free of charge.
Gym was ok, but a little small - besides, for such an esteemed property, the expectations would have been to have at least Technogym equipment for the facility.

There is even a lovely, clean gym with a great view.
The pool and gym are relaxing and not crowded at all.
The gym was a bit small n less equipments

Transport: What guests say
View Crowne Plaza Kuala Lumpur City Centre by IHG15 relevant reviews
Traffic around the hotel can be very heavy at all hours. Guests found Grab easy to use for getting around, but the hotel does not arrange airport taxis; one guest was quoted RM300 for an early-morning ride and paid RM74 using Grab. Metro access was described both as convenient and as quite far away.

They asked a driver outside and he priced the taxi journey at 300ringgit. This was obscene considering I paid 68 ringgit to get there. They said it was due to being before 6am. So, I recommend downloading the grab app, and ordering a taxi yourself. Grab cost me 74 ringgit.
It would've been nice to have a complimentary (or otherwise) airport shuttle that they help coordinate - we had to take a grab to the hotel.
Nothing about the hotel I disliked. When I asked about a taxi to the airport though they said they don’t arrange such. Which is fine.

Use public transport the trains are quick clean and fairly easy to find your way around
Traffic is really bad in that area at all hours of the day and night,
We were originally booked to stay at a hotel across from the crown, we got.

Download their Grab which is our Uber services and helped us every trip.
Our mobile reception were very poor, had to rely 100% on hotel wifi.
And a metro station so could get anywhere in KL with ease.

However, you could definitely get a grab to any location very easily.
But getting a taxi is easy so not a big issue
We arrived late night almost morning because our flight got cancelled.

Just be prepared to factor that in to your plans.
To arrange a trip to Melacca the next day.
Distance and proximity to public transport.

Quite far from the nearest metro
Easy access with GRAB taxis

Basement carpark dusty & narrow, but quite common in Malaysia to drive through such tight-space & narrow carpark.
Hotel parking is free for guest but the lighting in the parking is a bit dim.
1. Small car park with tight turn and narrow parking space.

And parking is free in the short term
Free parking.
Free parking,

Parking FOC.

Lack of additional amenities eg. spa, a place for relax
No faults other than no sauna, steam room
There was also no spa in the hotel

No sauna.
