In my personal opinion, the hotel exploits Gulf nationals; I saw a Gulf national at the reception arguing with them over another reason because they look for any excuse to take extra money from you at check-out.
To explain in a nutshell. I have been coming to Manila for over 14 years and never found the need to stay in any other hotel.
I love the food the drinks the staff the location but most of all I love the kindness and hospitality that everyone showed

It was ok but probably falls just short of being in the catering of a great place to stay in Manilla
The hotel was as expected. Comfortable with good service apart from the breakfast buffet where the staff seemed slightly disorganised.
There was some noise some nights (usually music) this did not bother me and it was certainly not loud.

Unfortunately, for such a large hotel, there are only 3 elevators, resulting in longer waiting times at times.
Spacious room, rooftop swimming pool, great restaurant for dinner and breakfast, the fitness center, and the spa.
Everything was available, friendly staff, clean and hygienic, beautiful rooftop bar where you can swim and eat.

I don’t need a sentence to sum up my stay I just need one word. Amazing!!!!!!!
Great hotel, just need to get the ppl to make the roof a better meeting place.
So yes, this hotel is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and we look forward to staying here again!

It was outstanding definitely my hotel to stay when I come back to the Philippines
I will be staying here also when I visit the Philippines next year 🙏❤️
The bed is very nice and the room is spacious, perfect for resting peacefully.

Very good for a short luxury stay at an affordable price in Manila.
Well i come here very often because it’s a great place to stay!
Absolutely will come to this hotel if visit Manila next time... highly recommend.

Very good location and beautiful views from the room and from rooftop restaurant.
Location, room, food, staff, the easy communication and support from the employees.
Perfect as a stopover: nice food, good rest, recuperate and then continue

Excellent hotel, would book again next time when we’re in the area.
Amazing hotel, very clean and very polite and nice staff working here
Overall, a daily welcoming high quality stay inviting family to return

Highly recommend it for any length of stay when in Manila
Whenever I go to Manila, I always choose this hotel; the value for money is unbeatable, everything is very good, the rooftop restaurant right next to the pool, the comfortable and well-equipped rooms, the restaurant of good quality, all at reasonable prices, not to mention the friendly and attentive staff.
A very good and very clean hotel about 35 minutes from the airport, its location is safe and there are various services nearby including a grocery store, pharmacy, and restaurants. The breakfast is excellent, diverse, and very delicious. Overall, I highly recommend it.

Everything was perfect, the hotel accommodated our requests (a room on a high floor with a city view, a table reservation at the rooftop restaurant), and the very helpful and friendly receptionist Mica catered to all our needs.
I have tried to list most of the things I liked about this hotel though overall it was one of the most comfortable hotels I have ever stayed at with some of the best service.
It is a well presented hotel with everything you need in a handy position to the entertainment and dining/bar area as well as not far from Glorietta mall, airport etc.

At check-out, the same mistake happened; they tried to wrongly charge an extra amount for the first night, but when I showed them the receipt, he apologized and said I only had to pay for cleaning the mattress as it had dirty stains.
At check-in, the receptionist made a mistake, and I hope it was an error, as he tried to charge me more than the required amount, but I stopped him and he apologized for the mistake.
By day 2 he remembered what my coffee preferences etc were and he seemed really happy to fetch my omlette and coffees (each day with a different design on the top).

The receptive staff were amazing, great contact before and during my stay and they helped arrange a quiet room for me as I hadn't slept much prior to arrival.
A particular female staff member at the Firefly Cafe who was at the front on Friday night (1 August) showed racism towards us and did not talk politely.
Special mention to Leila at reception, she was lovely and helped me a few times when I needed to store my bags before checking out etc...

Though it was due to a neighboring guest's vomit filled room which the staff was only able to clean after the pinoy guest checked out.
The staff was PERFECT ! Especially Darius! he helped us a lot when we arrived at 10PM and made us feel at home.
Some of the waiting staff assigned at the entry of firefly are not trained to say “Thank you for coming” to any guests.

Cleanliness of the place you can see the crews and the employee are really working to show the good of the place.
I needed to extend my reservation by one day because of my flight, and they were able to resolve that issue.
Staff promised to deliver the key after a brief inspection but failed to follow through until we complained at 3:50 PM.

Special mention to Kris (front desk), Ivan (bell boy), and the other bell boy/concierge — you know who you are!
All the staff are incredibly friendly (Athena at the reception was very helpful in every way and extremely courteous).
Many staff in the not very busy restaurant joking with each other while I was left waiting for service

But the bell guys working the door are right there to help so not really a big issue.
‘Welcome home your room was prepared by…’ with the person’s name’ I thought it was a sweet touch.
We want to say special thanks to Aly in reception for her super friendly and professional approach.

Joseph & Gwen at reception, Jordan at the pool and Rex the outstanding doorman were all excellent.
These individuals made our day by going above and beyond their responsibilities and made our stay comfortable.
Lastly, the extreme kindness of all the staff. Thank you for your welcome and your smiles.

The kindness of these people is unique; they are very helpful and assist wherever they can.
Out of all those exceptional people we remeber a few names Henry, Paul, Ian and Mark.
It didn't feel nice - and as an Australian we are not accustomed to tipping.

It was nice that one of the staff on the reception greets us by name.
-When I arrived, I asked for a late checkout (6 PM) and they said okay. I asked if I had to pay the extra fee immediately, and they told me no, it would be accounted for at checkout. As a result, the next morning, they called me to leave the room by 11 AM... I should mention that I had asked for a late checkout, and no one was aware of it... I had to go downstairs to pay...
Restaurant manager is very poor had irgernise a special night because of weather cancelled the night and never took the time to call book guess so they could orgernise a new venue I was devastated and his approach was to hide behind his staff on a scale of 1 to 10 and I have travelled all round the world he is I minus 10

Staff at the reception not sympathetic about the situation were dealing as a stranded passenger for nearly 2 weeks ( due to conflict in Middle East) and wanted a big request to have late check out and possibly pay the amount by the hours we stay but she (Steph) suggested we should book another night and that is costly for us.
When I asked him for a report and a receipt for the requested amount and its reason, he refused and brought his manager, and they tried to take the money without giving me any receipt. When I insisted on getting a paper explaining the reason for the amount, they refused and said they would cover it.
The staff was very friendly and pleasant at all times, especially Jess, who gave us information on how to get around the area and always attended us with a smile, as well as the rest of the hotel staff who, without a doubt, make you feel at home.

I had paid for a room with a window thinking it would be one I could watch the city and surrounding from BUT it was only about a metre wide stuck in a corner of the room overlooking other buildings.
Very large, comfortable rooms, great view from the higher floors, very clean, varied breakfasts, decent location, very friendly staff, everything you need in the room: coffee/tea set, water, slippers, ironing set, refrigerator
In the bathroom, there was a marble top to the rim of the bathtub that was uncomfortable when taking a bath and made the shower space a little tight.

The shower in the bath tub was mounted in the wrong place and it was a challenge to not get the bathroom floor wet when using it.
My only complaint was the lack of tea and coffee making facilities in my room but I did have the cheap room so probably my fault.
The rooms had a strong smell of perfume/cleaning utilities (tried 2 rooms on different floors). I didn't like it but got used to it quickly.

They have a card stating they have other mattresses if you are not satisfied with your current one, the first time I saw it.
The bed was too hard for my liking, which was quickly fixed by bringing in a matrass topper (pillow menu in the room).
The bathroom sink counter space was large enough for couples on vacation with ample shelf space and also included a hair dryer.

The water in the shower is very nice and very warm, plus it has a huge deep bathtub perfect for 2!
I myself also got a new room because of poor water pressure and a television that did not work properly.
On top of that, when we checked in, they upgraded our room and gave us an extra king size bed.

The Mirror in the bathroom is extruded enough that you will have a hard time using the Faucet/ sink.
Loves my room on the 28th floor (the view was amazing) and the rooftop terrace and swimming pool there.
I think i was in a midrange room but it was too small to have a sitting area.

I did see the rooms on the opposite side, and they were bigger with plenty of natural light.
I got a room with literally no view - looking straight at the wall of the adjacent building
This time around the shower had only a curtain instead of a door and water splashed outside.

The room so clean smells so good the bathroom so nice big and the room big too.
Very nice rooms with a great view, especially from the rooftop terrace with a wonderful pool.
It would go away after a few hours but the smell of smoke would still return.

Room didn’t get cleaned till 4pm even though I had my room get cleaned sign on.
Everything is beautiful and the most important thing in the bathroom is the bidet 😜👍🌹
For the best experience, book the deluxe room with a view—it's definitely worth the extra.

Rooms very clean, if you want something brought by housekeeping, you get it very quickly.
The aircon was particularly weak at first and I was not understood at all by maintenance when I asked them to sort it out and asked if they could provide me a fan (which, to be fair, once they finally understood and pointlessly played around with the crappy aircon, they did provide).
Sometimes has slow leakage of water from water tap at water basin of toilet: I left the hotel at 12 noon and come back at 10pm, the towel and my skincare items on the table top of water basin are soaked with water

The staff are very bad, the furniture is old, and the wood is decayed. I attached photos for clarification, and the wardrobe for clothes has a terrible smell and I couldn't put anything in it, and the beds make noises with every movement.
The bed is really comfortable and they even offered me a room with a bath tub or a walk in shower for me to choose from so I managed to have a relaxing bath before I left which was a nice surprise!
When you are in the room, your feet can easily bump into the legs of the bed as its design makes it protrude outward, so it's better to walk around the room while wearing slippers to avoid injuring your foot.

- The location is really great: many bars and clubs nearby. Suitable for partying with friends or going out for drinks as a couple. In my opinion, less suitable for families.
It is very central, very close to the Power Palm mall, Greenbelt, and others; and it is very close to the many nightlife venues in the area.
Across the road there is a 7/11 convenience store and only a few steps away the night entertainment with many bars, bubs and some restaurants.

There's a smell on the streets near the hotel, but after walking for about 5 minutes towards the center, the smell is gone.
Once I got to know Manila I found my fav area was BGC because of the selection of shopping and restaurants.
Spent the last days of our vacation in the Philippines here to explore Manila and recover before the trip home.

Not a good location for families post 7 pm due to the neighouring bars.( Saftey wise yes, just bad vibes).
Location was also very good and close to airport and malls (but it is near a red light district)
It is on a busy street corner but taxis can pull up outside steps leading to the lobby.

Great location near lots of restaurants, only a 20-30 minute drive from the airport depending on the traffic.
Hotel was very clean and we had a pleasant stay as it’s near lots of dining options.
Location was very busy outside on a main road but it was silent on the 28th floor.

There was quite a bit of traffic noise later at night and early in the morning.
The hotel is located in a convenient area, close to many shops, restaurants, and nightlife spots.
The location, cleanliness, size of the room, and the breakfast buffet which was just amazing.

Location is great, it is accessible to malls, food stores, foreign exchange store, and banks.
It is also very close to lots of shopping areas with an Amazing view!
Far from the historic center, but the truth is, there isn't much to see.

The location is good, the rooms are comfortable, and the staff is very polite.
The lifts are the slowest lifts I have ever experienced in my travels.
There is a supermarket and a few bars and restaurants in walking distance.

The hotel is well situated in an area with excellent restaurants and cafes.
The location is super central and only 30 minutes from the airport.
The location is rather busy and loud, even on the 19th floor.

Many restaurants in the area, in addition to supermarket and money exchange.
To be honest, we chose this hotel because it was in Makati and this area was recommended for staying in Manila, but I think it is a few streets away from the quiet zone since we saw nightclubs nearby and a bit of a sketchy atmosphere.
Next to one of the busiest intersection in Makati region, always have traffic jams; busy and noisy road even after midnight, I was awakened several times by the noises of horn and car engine in the middle of the night —> poor noise proof

I find it simply terrible; the hotel is just in the wrong spot. The whole area is just a horror; if you love nightlife, you're at the right corner, but unfortunately, it's not suitable for people with families and children.
Great rate and location as I always use this hotel when I am traveling as I fly in from overseas and need one night’s stay before traveling to another island early next morning.
The location is great but slightly further away from the main square mile of historic manila, which was what we wanted to experience - this was more personal preference than an actual issue.

The air conditioning in the rooms installed directly above the bed is uncomfortable, and there is no air conditioning outside the rooms and in the lobby: you have to walk in the heat up the stairs (for example, to the 25th floor) or wait in the heat for the elevator.
Because I don't need to swipe the elevator card to go to the 32nd and 7th floors, Every time you go upstairs or downstairs, wait at least 5-10 minutes before you can take the elevator.
With 32 floors and with a restaurant on the 32 floor that is full of people, the elevator is full of people and don't even stop in the middle floors.

Yet cities will continue to insist on believing that 'development' means verticality which it doesn't, it just pollutes the skyline and makes it look like any other metropolis.
We had to wait a long time for the elevators since many people who were not staying at the hotel were going up to the terrace.
The lift situation, only three lifts this meant you waited on average 10 minutes for a lift and were always full of people.

Most times it was easier to just take the first available one(up or down) and ride it until you reach your floor.
It would be nice also to have a desk for tours in the hotel to help clients to organize their tours.
Elevators are painfully slow, to the point really where they should just shut down the hotel and install new ones.

The rooftop offers the opportunity to enjoy the view of the city with a great restaurant and the pool.
The facilities were complete and you could ask enhancements with housekeeping (more pillows, additional water bottles) and they complied.
Everyone is normally going to the 32nd floor as that is where the restaurant and pool areas are.

All facilities were nearby, so it wasn't necessary for us to leave the hotel in bad weather.
Perhaps the hotel needs to advertise that these facilities are seasonal and not open in poor weather.
My only negative is that when it is busy the lifts are a little bit slow.

Elevator is slow, often it took 10 minutes to get an elevator. This is not normal.
Only one elevator worked which took a very long time to go up or down.
The elevator is slow, and not enough given the number of floors in the hotel.

The corridors are much too dark. They need to be illuminated much, much brighter.
The plot is quite small which is understandable as Manila is very densely populated
I saw a line of people waiting almost every day to use the elevator.

Elevators that are too slow or not numerous enough for a 30-story building
Huge and old hotel, long lines for only 3 elevators that take forever.
The hotel itself is comfortable, with a nice rooftop terrace and rooftop pool.

I just didn’t like the elevator it takes a while to get around.
- weak water pressure problem occurred and then yellow dirty water came from sink after calling receptionist she said open the water until it become clean but it wouldn’t until next day because a problem occurred in water pump and engineering team in hotel couldn’t fix it quickly . The water can’t be used for washing at all.
There are only 3 lifts which can take a minute or two to arrive and then frequently stop along the way, this can be frustrating if you are in a rush but it isn't too bad once you accept it.

I think one elevator went out of service at least two days a week or if there is an event they will dedicate one elevator to that event which makes going in an out a 10-15 minute wait both ways.
Their elevator capacity is so low that it drives you crazy! It is a very big building and way too few lifts. You have to wait several minutes everytime you want to move around and the lift is always packed.
Only 3 elevators for this high rise tower hotel. so you always wait a long time for one of the elevators to come to your floor as they stop to all the others. too bad you don't have more elevators

The only negative thing is, that they had no bananas for breakfast and that it is a tad bit pricey, but if you want to feel like you're rich and be pampered, this is for you!
I would like to see the Gluten Free and other symbols used in the breakfast labelling at the 7th floor breakfast menu, especially in relation to cooked dishes.
I had to ask the waitress to bring some food otherwise I didn't have eat a single thing…. For a 5* hotel this is unacceptable.

The breakfast is quite expensive if it's not included in your room but the options are vast and the coffee is good.
The breakfast was very complete and offered a wide variety of all types of food, both sweet and savory.
When I select the location it said breakfast was included, but after paying the breakfast was no long included.

I didn't appreciate having to get up from my breakfast table every day to get my own drinks.
But the food selection this time is not as good as our previous stays in the hotel.
Observed foreigners seem to only get egg and bacon and maybe watermelon fruit, ate then left.

Gluten allergy is dangerous and therefore very important to cover these allergies comprehensively and thoroughly.
Food and drinks would have been the most expensive we paid in whole Philippines trip.
Breakfast buffet was a bit overpriced for what it was (food was still good).

The breakfast is excellent, there is a very large selection and everything is delicious.
SENSACIONAL breakfast, honestly I wish I could live there and eat that everyday.
This is a country saturated with mango and pineapple, which wasn't the case.

The breakfast was a king's breakfast with a wide selection of specialties.
I never tried their breakfast but it was a very popular spot.
Very varied breakfast although very crowded (the hotel is very busy).

The largest selection I have encountered in Filipino hotels so far.
You are much better just ordering breakfast from a local restaurant.
The breakfast menu was very extensive and also very delicious.

You could even choose the type of coffee you wanted.
Breakfast was ok but the coffee refill was not consistent.
I was pleased with the coffee service during breakfast.

Breakfast that we didn't have time to check out.
The only thing I didn't like was that we had breakfast included, the stay was for 19 days, and one day we couldn't use it; the next day we asked if it was possible for them to bring it to the room, and they said yes.
Wife ordered the continental breakfast and because they didn’t have any croissants they gave her 4 slices of white bread cut in half one hot dog and a spoonful of scrambled egg which was cold.

When I returned I asked if a friend could have breakfast with me since I had paid for 2 nights including breakfast and did not use them, and they told me quite bluntly NO!
Everything for breakfast was cold, watched a cook bring French toast out. I followed and got some, yup cold. Like cold from the kitchen- I am sure they are doing the best they can
At breakfast, I burned my hand on the hot food station because there was no sign. But thanks to me, a sign was created so that no one else would get burned.

Swimming pool should close later, currently it's 22:00 but they actually get you out at 21:50, too bad because it's the best time to enjoy it without noisy kids around.
The rooftop is a real bonus; superb pool with a view of the city (not heated, so a bit chilly except in the very small jacuzzi).
Seems to be a small point, but the pool and jacuzzi very difficult to enter and exit for older people - like me!

However, the water smelled a lot like chlorine, and I got styes in my eyes after swimming on the first day.
Pool which is their main attraction or quality, was out of service, with no previous notice regarding about it.
There is a pool on the top floor, the view at sunset and at night is beautiful.

The rooftop pool was packed with 30 or more kids which was not relaxing at all.
The pool and jacuzzi on the rooftop is Amazing and right beside an awesome restaurant!!
Pool was packed and couldnt get chairs for the 4 days i was there.

Also their swimming Pool on the same floor was good for a relaxing swim.
The rest of the rooftop terrace is dominated by the expensive hotel restaurant
The glass both in the room and in the pool are very dirty

Terrace on the top floor with very good views and a swimming pool.
The rooftop pool with a restaurant is a great spot to relax.
Poll had a funny smell, needs to be cleaned more often.

The view from the rooftop swimming pool is stunning (it is)
Never used the pool, but the rooftop bar is great.
Had lunch by the pool too which was very nice.

The pool was very pleasant in the early evening.
Beautiful rooftop bar and pool on the 32nd floor.
But the Hotel it self and swimmingpool is nice…

Nice pool with sun loungers and bath towels.
Possibility to enjoy the pool before the flight.
It is not worth paying for the views

The location, pool and the breakfast were great.
The pool was full of children (which wasn't a problem in itself) but it became one when the kids jumped into the jacuzzi where one tries to relax and they start screaming, jumping, and hitting you with their arms and legs, and no one does anything.
The rooftop pool that looked very inviting for a relaxing night swim on the website was actually right at the entrance of the very busy rooftop bar/restaurant with no barrier for a little quiet and privacy.

The rooftop pool is great, but they don't follow the supposed rules 100%, although they claimed to prohibit drinks in glass cups or inside the pool and to use it with regular clothes (not swimsuits).
Some people smoke or vape around the swimming pool area, which is forbidden (there are signs) but not enforced, it should be because I really don't want to smell smoke when relaxing in the pool.
The pool and hot tub were nice but keep in mind that there are no changing rooms, so if you want to get changed, you'll have to go to the bathroom which isn't far.

I asked first but the waiter never came back so I presume they are cooking still her chicken, 20 minutes gone and we all finished eating my daughter still hungry so I asked again second time so we wait another 20 minutes to cook her dinner.
While the crew is very friendly i think service is pretty slow and they should make sure all items on the menu are available since some items were not available 2 days in a row.
Weirdest dinning experience as well.. they would bring food over but put it on the other side of the table ?! like not where we were seated ???

While we didn't use it on this stay, we thoroughly enjoyed using the rooftop restaurant and bar (same level as pool) during our last stay.
We had dinner at the rooftop on the last night of our stay and it took F O R E V E R !
Restaurant staff 32nd floor very busy / slow but that is to be expected at peak times so not a big deal.

Rooftop bar/ restaurant is nice but not suitable for talking to eachother because of loud music and singing in the evening.
In the restaurant on the top floor, we ordered several items from the menu and they were not available.
Firefly roof bar/resto is a nice place to chill, with a reasonably good quality of food on offer.

In the end, the dishes were the most disappointing part of our entire trip to the Philippines.
The rooftop restaurant has amazing views but the quality of the cocktails they serve was just disappointing.
The food on the roof deck was ok- over priced for what it was I thought.

I would like to see more gluten free dishes available on the rooftop Firefly restaurant.
The restaurant on the roof is the only reason to stay here in my opinion.
Now the steak it was the toughest piece of meat I have ever eaten.

It is very popular so you have to wait until a table is available.
Room, breakfast, fitness center, spa, front desk and bell hops, 32nd floor restaurant.
We stayed for New Year’s Eve because of firefly being a rooftop bar/restuarant.

We dinned there a couple of times, on these occasions it wasn’t busy.
Rooftop restaurant with open air and excellent menu choices is a plus
One of the salads I order had croutons that didn’t taste fresh.

The restaurant didn't meet our expectations, too expensive and not so good.
There is a nice rooftop restaurant/bar, with a pool to enjoy.
The food selection could be better, especially if you're not adventurous.

I thought the restaurant on the 32 floor was excessively expensive.
The restaurant on the roof had no wine in stock. When we offered to get something ourselves, we were told that we would have to pay a corkage fee that was higher than the bottle itself. Eventually, after a lot of discussion, we didn't have to pay it, but by then the kids were really hungry.
Additionally, the rooftop restaurant has an outdated menu, which even the waitresses do not know - a dish ordered twice turns out to be unavailable only in the kitchen; very poor waitstaff service - in an empty restaurant, it takes 20 minutes to receive the menu, and then the same amount of time for the bill.

Food in the restaurant was not good below average service was very slow ordered a bottle of beer with our order but had to wait nearly twenty minutes to received the bottle of beer my wife’s drink was a cocktail maybe why it took so long
The restaurant on the 32nd floor does not meet expectations; the service is terrible, the food quality is very low, and the cleanliness of the tables and the service in general is quite poor, which is not what you would expect from a 5-star hotel.
Also, although the breakfast restaurant is luxurious and the food is excellent and diverse, the smell of food and cooking strongly clings to your clothes, so I recommend not going to the restaurant in your going-out clothes; you can wear a regular T-shirt.

Terrible welcome. our rooms were not ready upon arrival (check-in time was at 2 PM and we arrived at 3 PM). they kept saying to wait 20 minutes and in the end, we had to wait 2 hours before we could enter the room.
They canceled my room, because there were some smelling mistakes in my surname, in THE booking app IT was confirmed, so we came after 12 am at night and they give us terrible hotel, with no excuses, just they cancel IT.
They told me it would take 20 minutes to have the room ready, but after an hour and a half when I asked them about it, they seemed to have forgotten about it entirely and asked me for another 20 minutes.

Any service you want to request while you are in the room, you must call the reception and they will connect you to the required department, and during peak times, the reception does not respond to you due to high workload.
I didnt get the room i booked straight way they tried to put me in a double bed room instead off the room I booked after talking to reception they said they didnt have any off my room available.
Back to the front Desk and ask them to find out when the transport would be there, only to find out it was canceled by the driver and they did not bother to even check or notify me.

Despite this, the hotel proceeded to call our room AND send a member of staff to our room asking us if we were checking out at midday - their internal communications need improvement in this regard.
And they would not refund me the difference in pricing as they saying it was the same price but after going back and fourth they got me into my room a booked.
We arrive right on 2pm, check in time and got the key to one room after about 10 minutes of the front desk typing away on the computer.

This is my second time in this hotel, the first time I had a good experience when I check In but this second time was not good.
After about another 10 minutes we asked if there was a problem and were told they were still waiting for the room to be cleaned.
Then, they tried to offer us a different room because of the long wait, but they didn’t ask if we were okay with that.

Very difficult to get a late checkout (even just for 2 - 3 hours) if, for example, the flight leaves in the evening.
And when I came to check out, the same problem occurred; I waited an hour for them to come take the bags..
When I got annoyed, naturally, my room was suddenly ready and they said that they had simply forgotten to check it.

In the elevators, depending on the time, they would come down full from the rooftop and you couldn't get on.
Dee and Cyden were great host to arrange for an early check in for us despite our early arrival.
The room was not ready on arrival at 2pm. Had to wait nearly two hours for the key.

To wait for 10 to 15 minutes for our room from a long travel was not right..
All other guests who arrived later were either lucky or didn’t have to wait at all.
Let's start with the fact that I warned the hotel in advance about a late check-in.

I followed up 3 times, the receptionist kept on telling us room's not ready yet.
Being allowed a late check out for 6pm 🕕 at an additional 2,000 php.
It's not that they are slow, but too many people use them, I believe.

I felt management could have done better to assist me with a request.
We had a late check out as we didn’t fly until 7pm
After about another 10 minutes we were told to have a seat.

Call and I am told same thing: "we cannot guarantee... " .
Gave us rooms and when checking in changed us to different ones!
Check-in was also about 30 minutes later than the time listed.

Also just make it a 24h gym since there is no staff around and you have to use your keycard to access it.
The gym is well equipped, with clean towels, a water fountain, and a beautiful view of the city.
The gym was okay ... as usual, the equipment could do with a bit more maintenance.

It had a very good gym, one of the best I've seen in a hotel.
The gym was convenient as well as the spa for a massage before traveling.
Very large and comfortable rooms, with good services available (gym, buffet, bar, pool...)

Room, breakfast, fitness center, spa, front desk and bell hops, 32nd floor restaurant.
In fact, there is a water fountain available in front of the elevator.
This is trivial, but some other hotels I have visited were more modern.

It has a large and quite well-equipped gym, as well as a spa.
The gym and spa facilities were great especially before traveling long haul.
The gym and the spa aren't the best but they're quite good

Everything is amazing, pool, gym, bar and very good value for money.
The gymnasium is roomy with enough equipment for a good workout.
Gym is mediocre enough equipment to get a half decent workout.

However, I did use the gym, which was very spacious.
Fantastic hotel with a great gym and massage facilities.
Sadly, I didn't have opportunity to use the gym.

The gym had everyone I needed which was great
The gym could use 1 or 2 more machines.
Gym had no aircon so it was very hot.

The gym was large, but hygiene was somewhat questionable.
And the gym is essential for me!!
The gym looks like 1990.

The gym is functional.
The gym is ok
The well-equipped fitness room

A fitness center.

Only gripe we had with this hotel was we booked a van with reception to drop us to the airport at 9.30am and when we went down we waited 30 mins and then told us there was a problem with the van and they ended up booking 2 grab cars for us.
There is a easy to access front door if you are taking a cab and they can park and front and load and unload and they staff will bring your bags in for check in and also to your room if you wish.
The only concern each time is the wait for the elevators. 3 elevators for 32 floors, especially the pool and restaurant on the top floor is a little inconvenience, but cannot be helped. the signs about busy times is helpful.

Also Taxi's getting confused between city garden hotel and city garden grand hotel, I suggest to change the name to something else such as Grand Graden Hotel or City Grand Hotel .....
Only downside I can think of is that when you get dropped off at the hotel there is no ramp to get your luggage up to the front door only steps.
Lucky we wanted to leave a lot earlier to go airport just in case of any hiccups like this, if we didn't we would of been late going to the airport.

The elevator you waiting such a long time, it took use 40 minutes to go from the 10th floor were our rooms where to the 32 floor were the restaurant was.
During my first stay, I asked the hotel for support for a transfer to Clark airport, unfortunately, they could not assist me and I had to proceed on my own.
They have a grab taxi counter at the front desk but allow around 20min for the taxi to actually turn up - i didnt and was almost a little late.

The elevator. It took me about 20 minutes to go up and down from the reception to the pool, enough time to even make some friends.
We took a long time to catch the elevator as the building has 32 floors and 3 elevators, and you waste a lot of time waiting.
Gave them the name and number plate with also the taxi docket the gave me, waiting to see if they have found it or not.

Our train broke down and made us miss our flight connection, so we arrived at the hotel the next day (13 hours of flight)
I was told that requests must be made a certain number of hours in advance, but I was completely within the time frame.
Getting to the room was much more difficult due to the 3 available elevators that were very busy, leading to long wait times.

Small issue with booking which seems to have only charged half of the amount while I thought I had paid the full price...
We were quoted 500 pesos (which corresponds to the normal rate by Grab) but the taxi actually asked us for 1000 pesos.
It's great that they sorted out a grab for us but ideally we wanted to travel together as a family not separately.

A painful experience that resulted in there being no one to collect me at the airport despite being pre booked and paid.
Selected pay later (booking.com) as I had cash I wanted to use up but hotel still took the payment prior to arrival.
To avoid contact with local transport providers, I recommend booking an airport transfer from the hotel in advance for incoming guests.

The elevators take a very long time to arrive despite having 3 constantly on the go.
The wait for the elevators can be very long, 32 floors with too few elevators.
No dedicated hotel driveway, getting in and out is rather cumbersome, especially with luggage.

A bit confusing for grab to have another hotel same name catty corner.
The htel quoted 1300 pesos while we got Grab for 500 pesos.
We used Grab taxi for almost half of the price instead.

Richelle even showed me how to use Grab for my trips.
It took 30 minutes to get to the ground floor.
The reception could not arrange transport to the airport.

Also, we wanted to shower after the massage. No one explained where the showers were located, no fresh towels were provided, and the shampoo container in the shower was nearly empty. It would have been nice if everything was prepared or available after the massage so that the guest feels comfortable and can relax for a moment without having to think about how to organize a towel :(
- Unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed with the spa. The massage was rather lacking care and the staff was not attentive. They didn't ask about any injuries or how strong we wanted the massage; they just started right away as if they wanted to get it over with quickly.
The massage room for one person is austere, really ugly... a very small room without decoration, without light, not even a candle, nothing on the walls, two hangers to hang your things... it really doesn't make you want to lie down.

We had to go down to the reception to pay by card, the masseuse lady tough gestures, and at the end nothing is proposed as water or tea.
I had a great massage from Cherish at my Hotel room & a again Cherish gave me a hot stone massage at the La Famosa Spa.
No availability of SPA during day-time on arrival and next day, fully booked ==> why advertising this as providing service but not having enough masseuses?

The spa it’s self is not very fancy, it has simple rooms but the treatment was worth it and the pricing is very reasonable.
We could use the spa at tur 9th floor to take a quick shower and change, although we checked out early morning!
The highlight for me was the fantastic hot tub on the roof, offering a stunning view and a perfect place to relax.

...had massage at the spa which was very good, allowing us to shower after to remove the oils and freshen up.
The spa staff gave good massages, but were quite grumpy, which meant we went somewhere else for our next massage.
The massages were heavenly, I didn't get their names but I was very relaxed by the end of it all.

The massages were heavenly, I didn't get their names but I was very relaxed by the end of it all.
Shower sucks, the shower head is terrible and at many times during the day there is no hot water.
I wish the spa had a reception desk away from the massage rooms to allow for a quiet session

One feels like they are bothering them more than anything else, as if they didn't want to work.
We had a nice massage and they even stay open til 9pm or come to your room anytime.
The spa is also excellent - Anna was particularly good at breaking up the tightness in my hamstrings.

We also used the spa facilities - very easy to book and really enjoyed our treatments.
They could also have offered us something to drink (water or tea) after the massage.
Spa had good service but didn't feel like a proper spa in a five star.

Tip, if you take up any of the treatments make sure you have cash.
Room, breakfast, fitness center, spa, front desk and bell hops, 32nd floor restaurant.
I actually have 4 sessions room service & 1 in their spa room.

And the ladies at the massage spa were not pleasant.
I can recommend to try their full aromatic spa.
The massage at the spa was also excellent.

I hope the other rooms are better.
I recommend a visit to the spa!
The spa massage was very nice.

My only nitpick would be the parking - the ramp going up/down was kind of difficult to navigate but we were fairly warned by the security at the parking entrance.
I recently had the displeasure of experiencing the parking facilities at City Garden Grand Hotel and I must say, it was a thoroughly disappointing and frustrating experience.
They drive your car to the underground parking and then bring the car up to the front of the hotel when you leave or need it.

The parking situation was horrendous there was no signage to direct you how to exit and the parking garage was so steep and narrow.
The rump to get up to the car park is too narrow and the space provided is just enough to park your car.
Need to give yourself time to get in and out of the carpark specially if your car is an SUV's or a Van.

Parking was pretty good - just an extra hurdle of getting the hotel staff to stamp your parking slip every time you left.
May first stay in this hotel back in 2019 the motorcycle parking is inside the bldg. Parking. But now is it outside.
I thought the room I booked would have a bath, however it might have been subject to availability still.

They have a parking inside though it's hard to maneuver due to extremely tight curve and narrow spaces.
The elevators are really slow - not enough elevators for many people that need to use them.
During our stays we decided to leave the car in the carpark and grab a taxi instead.

Our helmet will bring instead of lock in the motorcycle (might wet due to rain). Kinda Hussle.
Parking at premises is hard - 3 point turns to go up 3 levels 6 times.
But this minor issue doesn't take away from an overall great stay at City Garden Grand.

Parking, the ceiling too low for the suv but they had alternative parking but not roofing
Inside bldg parking is only for a car not for motorcycle said guard on duty.
This is only applicable if you have a car - parking is terrible.

Hospitality wise, parking is a bit stiff but they offered valet service.
Not much space to park when you get off to check in
Parking in the hotel was for free, even with valet service.

The hotel's parking situation left a lot to be desired.
The multi-storey car park is a bit of a challenge!
Inside bldg parking is only for car. Not for motorcycle

No charge for that but I tipped them well.
Was looking forward to a relaxing dip but alas.
Open parking for a motorcycle is feel like discrimination.

Parking is not newbie friendly.
Valet parking was excellent.
