Guests often describe Diamond Hotel as luxurious, comfortable, well located in Manila Bay, and supported by excellent service, with several saying they would return. Opinions on value vary: some find it exceptional, while others consider it expensive. Recurring drawbacks include dated furnishings, a busy atmosphere, and service or basic amenities falling short of five-star expectations.

1. The Price - It's a bit overpriced for an old hotel the rate is almost similar to Okada,Sofitel, Solair, etc.that will give a better experience. If they want to survive for the next 10 years, they need to make some upgrades
1. Warmth was missing 2. Personal touches for tourists coming from other countries could have added to the experience 3. Very expensive 4. Lack of festivity inspite of festival time 5. Coldness in the air
And wastes your time, putting indirect pressure on you to accept what they have available. They know you are exhausted from traveling, so you will agree to what they offer.

A hospitality concept our hotels in North America should take inspiration from... Everything is designed with us in mind, and the services are consistently maintained to an impeccable standard.
The hotel also don’t have an option for private formal dining and unnecessarily strict security checks that it seemed like it’s an airport or embassy rather than a hotel.

Honestly, still can't go wrong here though, but it's the only thing that could be slightly improved based on my experiences of the 5 star hotels in Manilla.
To think that this is a five star hotel the basic amenities are not up to the standard of whatbit should be expected.
Because the building is old, it wasn’t especially comfortable, but the staff were very helpful and the accommodation was worth the price.

This level of service is not what I would expect from a hotel that claims to be a five-star establishment.
The hotel is 30 years old, but they do spend to keep it refreshed as much as is possible.
Need to bring my favorite Diamond Hotel ; as 2019 ; when I stayed prior Pandamic

Honestly nothing. It wasn't worth the cost - both the rooms, resto, and services.
As many times as I stayed in this property, seemed to be degraded.
Everything else, though, was even better. Excellent customer service at this hotel!

It seems that the value for money is not that good.
Most of everything was great I enjoyed my stay there.
Not much has changed since our last visit in 2006.

It was not at all as advertised cleanliness wise,
It's our 4th time stay in this hotel
You get your money's worth in your stay.

A decent hotel to get over jetlag
I was very happy with my stay.
A bit fancy of a place

The hotel is relatively nice.
We will definitely go back.
Good hotel in Manila Bay

Stayed for over a week.
Very good g ch comfortable
Overall, great ambiance and service.

Staff: What guests say
View Diamond Hotel Philippines157 relevant reviews
Staff are most often praised as friendly, helpful, attentive, and quick to resolve problems, with several guests highlighting thoughtful personal service. Experiences are uneven: some report rude or untrained staff, slow and inattentive restaurant service, and poor communication. One guest said housekeeping returned used towels instead of replacing them; others describe discriminatory or insulting treatment.

One unfortunate incident was when I was in a nearby mall, I was approached by one of the ‘bell staff’ of the hotel who was quite upfront that he knows me as a guest. After a short talk, he mentioned that it was his child’s birthday and would I give him some money to buy something for his child. Uncomfortable with this request, I declined and moved away but he kept following me until I had to duck into an outlet to avoid him. I reported this to the duty manager when I returned to the hotel.
2. On my 1st night at the hotel, I went out at midnight wearing a skirt and i think one of the elevator guards mistook me for a prostitute. He asked if i was a visitor and i said no but still insisted to validate my identity at the reception area. He didnt do that to anyone else in the lobby. Just to me. I didnt reprimand him since my grab car was at the entrance. It was a lil insulting tho
I counted 10 STAFF. All floating around, without a clue how to treat the GUESTS. Appalling service.!!! The all need propped training. !! I watched a guest spill a whole beer over himself. NOT 1 STAFF MEMBER REACTED . !! But that’s what you get when you pay your staff peanuts. monkeys. !!

The staff, from who are at the door entrance too the staff on 27th floor bar, too the staff at the pool, 10/10. Amazing kind friendly welcoming everytime they see you.. they make it their business too come say hello, and ask how you're day is,and do you need anything, top class staff all round
1. The hotel attendants in the entrance were not that helpful and attentive. I was holding a lot of things coming in and i had to open the door by myself. Someone ran to help me but i was already inside. Mind you, there are few of them there.
I took my concern to hotel manager and got a rude attitude. Manager (Andi) offered a discount at the lounge. Placating with a discount is not what I was looking for. And I didn't appreciate the response: "What do you want, sir", with a disrespectful smirk on her face.

I stayed for four nights, but housekeeping was forgotten on the fourth day. That is an unbelievable oversight for a luxury hotel. However, it was a mistake by one staff member, and I do not consider it reflective of the hotel as a whole.
The girl at reception looked us up & down. Then in a very, very sarcastic tone, SAID TO MY WIFE: you know there’s a strict dress code, if you wish to eat in the buffet of our lounge bar. So rude.
The staff tried their best but they were definitely overwhelmed and could not deliver! The intention and spirit to serve was there but at some point apologies did not help me to get the service I expected.

The staff was very nice and respectful but not in an aggressive way. They are there close by to help you in case you need help, at the same time not too close, which was perfect!
& tell all your staff, to at least to pretend to care about your guests. !!! A VERY, VERY, VERY, DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER. !!! YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS APPALLING. !!!
I called the maintenance personnel arranged by the front desk and could not find the reason, and insisted on closing the door for inspection.

It is always the hotel staff who make you feel welcome; so THANK YOU all for your outstanding service and exceptional friendliness!
When one of the staff, who I intended to forget the name, didn't provide us our coffee and hot choco.
The housekeeping service is ridiculous: they don’t replace the used towels, but put the used ones back.

After 45 minutes Room service turned up wanting to clean the room. At 915pm what a joke.
Most memorable person there was the restaurant manager who was himself clearing tables during busy times.
After waiting for almost an hour with that noise they could have acted quickly.

Everybody was very nice and helpful to me, both the staff and the cleaners.
Staff went above and beyond to help with any questions and problems that arise.
Customer Service is a vital part of the business, I hope they improve it.

The staff are very attentive; in short, I’m very happy with my choice.
It's important to mention that staff was generally very friendly and professional.
Generally staff tried to assist but I believe they were understaffed.

This leads to a pointless discussion and more deception,
The restaurant staff were kind and always smiling.
Staff is superb, specially the front desk personnel.

The staffs were all attentive and kind
I complained to the management about it.
The staff was nice and helpful.

Rooms: What guests say
View Diamond Hotel Philippines143 relevant reviews
Rooms are often described as spacious, clean, quiet, and comfortable, with especially good beds and some attractive views. However, many feel dated, and guests report older carpeting and bathrooms, inconvenient tub showers, slow or difficult-to-adjust hot water, and occasional maintenance problems. Isolated complaints include construction noise, dust, and cockroaches.

The rooms were ok, nothing exceptional. Self-acclaimed 5-star hotel however, the room amenities were under par. They didn’t have complete sets of towels, the bathrobes were so worn out that would make you wonder why they even bothered. The bathroom counter was so bare, not even a hint of class. TV remote was generic, couldn’t find a channel I want to watch. No hotel guide inside the room. The bed quality was good.
Two full baths with walls and floors of rose colored marble. Each bath with a large shower and the one adjoining the bedroom a tub also. A large screen TV in both the living room and bedroom. Plenty of closet space in the entry hall and bedroom to store luggage out of sight. A full size office work desk and chair.
We stayed on the 24th floor, and it was very noisy from the wind or the elevators, which were right next to our room. In the middle of the night, our air conditioning dropped to 19 degrees, so we woke up feeling a little cold. In general, it’s difficult to get the air conditioning to work properly.

The aircon is not working properly to start with, I asked them to fix it and it took almost 48 hours to reach the set temperature, the fridge is not working, the room is too dark even when I wanted to read something in the evening. The toilet curtain is not hygienic has to be remove
It seemed overpriced considering that there is no exhaust in our room especially in the toilet area (room 702), the room and the hotel are already old (but still charming) with amenities that are still not adapting to the modern accomodation nowadays like the hot and cold wand in the shower.
My room was not cleaned properly, (u will always find crumbs from a night before on ur carpet), and counters stays dusty. In terms of comfort in ur room, good luck putting ur room AC fan speed to medium, the noise is more like a rusty truck running in ur room.

One other thing I wasn’t too fond of was the carpeting, which covers most of the hallways and the room. While it may add a cozy touch that some guests might appreciate, I personally found it a bit inconvenient when moving certain types of luggage, especially those with small wheels.
On the second day after our tour, when we came back to the room at about 8pm,I was quite shocked to see that the room was not cleaned. The coffee cups were not washed, the bed was partially made, the water bottles were not replenished.
My current request is to offer an 80% discount on my first night's room rate, while keeping the price unchanged for the remaining three days. This is compensation for my personal safety and for the delay in my first stay without water.

Although the room was spacious and comfortable it was extremely poorly lit. The room was still dark with the curtains open. There were limited power sockets to use. The dressing table area again was very badly lit.
From September 16th to September 20th, in room 2315, BOOKING order number 5828386618, on the first night when I entered, there was no water in the faucet.
I’m not sure whether the issue was with the hot water or the faucet mechanism, but it took a long time to adjust the shower.

Water faucets in the bathroom sink didn’t work very well, you would turn one on and nothing would come out until 5 minutes later
Room is old, power point is behind the bed side table, need extension cord on side bed in order to charge equipment.
The water pressure in the shower was very high and a little difficult to set the right temperature of the water.

The rooms have carpet, which probably isn’t wet-cleaned very often. Unfortunately, I couldn’t sleep there without an FFP2 mask.
The room was okay, however there was an issue with the shower head which made showering very difficult.
There was no option to cast my phone to the TV which is a personal preference.

The room is clean and spacious. Bed is very comfortable. Room service was also great.
The view from the my room was lovely and how clean everything was.
Beautifully maintained very clean quiet rooms, quality fixtures and brilliant housekeeping staff.

The rooms were nice and clean and the beds were comfortable.
An earthquake shook me out of bed on the 17th floor
Room was adequate enough with space. Water pressure was excellent.

Superb room cleaning, toiltries smells really good, good view
The housekeeper made our room so neat and tidy.
Somewhat dated rooms, showering in a bathtub

And rooms are in need of upgrade.
The room is spacious and comfy.
It was clean, quiet(mostly) and comfortable,

Breakfast: What guests say
View Diamond Hotel Philippines111 relevant reviews
Breakfast is often praised for its extensive, varied selection, fresh fruit, live cooking, and tasty dishes, including Filipino and international options. However, experiences are inconsistent: recurring complaints include crowds, long queues and slow service, plus occasional cold or slowly replenished food and dirty tables or cutlery. Some guests found the quality or selection disappointing for the price and hotel standard.

The breakfast buffet charges about 25 dollars per head for an experience where you get 1 square of table napkin, and you have to ask for everything (water in glass) with a 5-minute wait. The food quality and range of choices are poor and leave a lot wanting. If you compared all this to one of the breakfast buffets in Manila (Medley at Okada), which charges 30 dollars per head, you would understand that the diamond hotel breakfast buffet is charging at least twice more than it should.
I inquired with the hotel restaurant how much breakfast was. I was told it was 1400p. I decided to eat breakfast nearby for under 400p for the first 2 days. I went back to the hotel restaurant and then I was told I had complimentary breakfast. Wait a minute, I was told I had to pay. Well it turns out for the first 2 days I skipped eating in the hotel to save money.
The other thing what I didn't like at all is: when I went for the breakfast, the lady at front desk stopped me because I was wearing flip flops and she give me a ugly overshoes, which is normal, but then I see many more local people in the brekfast area with same flip flops and they bin told nothing.

The breakfast buffet was ok in terms of options, however we had to wait over 20 minutes to be seated. The food that was supposed to be hot was cold or lukewarm. The staff replacing food wore face masks but had the masks pulled under their chins. I even found hair in multiple food options.
Buffet was disappointing. Dishes were not abundant and lacking. It took some time to replenish dishes. Not a very creative delicious choice of breakfast. Not good enough! It looks like it really did not want to feed the hotel guests.
Had breakfast 2 mornings. Same juices. Would be nice to add different drinks like buco juice or ice tea, w/ calamansi juice or show some Pinoy pride drinks) The chicken tocino was kind of chewy that morning.

The breakfast is very good. Although the selection may not be as extensive as in some other 5-star hotels, I still consider it among the best. The hot chocolate, in particular, was excellent.
The breakfast is very poor for a 5 star hotel . The most of the food is cold, the bread at least 2 days old, no cold cuts, English breakfast tea not available,
The tables in the breakfast restaurant are hardly ever cleaned, and the chairs are dirty. One morning, they didn’t even set out clean cutlery; mine was still used by the previous guest.

The organization of breakfast is overwhelmed by the number of guests wanting to eat at the same time. Waiting 30 minutes to have breakfast is unacceptable for a hotel in this category.
Breakfast was not ready at 6:00am on the 25 floor, we waited 30 minutes and left. this was on the 15th of April 2026. However it was much the next day.
Disappointed with breakfast buffet which offered less dishes we enjoyed in the past. Looked for Philippine dried fish (danggit) or smoked fish (bangus) - none. No bibingka or Filipino rice/cassava cakes.

The buffet breakfast was a big disappointment. No green veggies other than the lettuce for salads. No cheeses, no cold cuts, only a couple of desserts, not much choice in general.
The only downside, is that the breakfast (even though a solid 9!), does get beaten by other hotels who manage to score the almost impossible 10 sorta speak.
The dining area seems a little bit congested especially during breakfast. Tables are so close to each other lacking almost some privacy when eating a meal.

2 Breakfast was good with a vast array of dishes, however the staff need to be a little more attentive to the requests of the guests.
Firstly the breakfast is very poor not much choices, fruits has only 3 choices banana melon and fruit cocktail that you can buy from the supermarket.
Included breakfast at the Diamond club lounge only with no option to have it at the main buffet unlike other hotel's club options.

Very bad breakfast (eggs and 5-6 types of food, no cheese, a breakfast valid for a hotel of 2 -3 stars.
What I am disappointed about is their breakfast buffet. The food was stale and not kid friendly at all.
If you can’t get fried eggs right, there is little or no hope for everything else.

Breakfast time too crowded and the food selection not 5 star it is 3 star
Breakfast options for vegans are limited, and the porridge was not tasty (watery).
Food (Breakfast) - Nice selection of items all of good quality.

Breakfast for a European was very poor with limited choices
Also, food selection in the buffet was not that many.
But the service for the buffet was the worst

The breakfast buffet is plentiful and delicious.
They also have good breakfast meals
The breakfast is very good.

Location: What guests say
View Diamond Hotel Philippines107 relevant reviews
Many guests found the hotel convenient for Robinsons Mall, restaurants, Manila Bay, and sights such as Intramuros and Rizal Park; some highlighted harbour views and walkable sightseeing. Others found nearby attractions less accessible than expected, described the surrounding area as intimidating or unappealing, and reported heavy traffic noise.

It is conveniently located for sightseeing around the city and visiting various attractions and facilities, such as historical landmarks, the aquarium, the zoo, the MRT, shopping malls, and long-established restaurants. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and delicious. The beach is also right below, making it nice for a morning stroll. I had heard there was an unsafe area nearby, but I walked there twice after 8 p.m. and nothing happened; it felt safe.
If i had known that i would have went to Robinsons mall which is 5 minutes away. The neighbourhood is mental, very busy with lots of traffic, but that is basically Manila in general. I will be back but will probably stay in makati as there is much more going on.
The location is simply awful!!! There is nothing worthwhile within walking distance nearby. (Especially not in the evening.) Even to Rizal Park or Intramuros (we chose this hotel because of its proximity), you’re better off taking a Grab or a tricycle.

Location of Diamond Hotel in Roxas is great if you have business around the area but it's a ride away to other shopping malls in the area. Also not to far to the airport.
Across from the “Sunset Beach”, views of the harbour and - if you are able - walking distance to Intramurous, the Fort, Rizal Park and museums. We did a 12km loop on foot.
On a future visit to the Philippines we will not bother to spend time in Manila, as it is a huge city without much of interest to the tourist

I like the location as I can walk to everything I need and do not have to get stuck in Manila traffic when needing to go out and about.
It is relatively close to intramuros and Rizal Park and has a nice sea view. On the other, backside the area looks a bit doggy.
The location is ok, but immediately behind the hotel is loads of sex massage parlors. It felt like a speedy backpacker area.

The touts hassled me a bit but I was a solo male traveller so they probably had me in their sights.
The visible security measures, and the reception's advice about walking in the city made it seem edgier than it was.
I like the location of the hotel, located quite centrally to all the sights and sounds of Manila.

We shopped at the nearby Robinsons shopping center and went to Jollibee, where we enjoyed the chicken.
We ended up on a floor of guests who were more than inconsiderate, noise level was unacceptable.
The location is ideal not right in the middle of everything but close enough to walk.

Lots of just as nice places to eat in Manila at a fraction of the cost
Nice to walk around local area for hair cut, local food and bars etc.
The location was accessible to all the places we need to go.

Next time I go to Manila I plan to stay there again.
The location was near the establishments we needed to go to.
And not really quite (street, other customers and lifts etc)

But for solo tourists, it may feel bit intimidating.
And had a great view over the city
Well located, close to the city center

In a good location in Manila.
If you are ever in Manila-
The location is great too!

Right in the city center
In a convenient location
Pretty good location.

Facilities: What guests say
View Diamond Hotel Philippines83 relevant reviews
Guests often praised the hotel’s cleanliness, attractive marble-filled lobby, and strong security, though the building and décor were described as dated and in need of renovation. Elevator upgrades caused recurring waits and confusion. Musty, unventilated corridor carpets bothered some guests, including one with asthma; Wi-Fi quality also drew mixed reviews.

The elevator system could be optimized. Compared to places like the Shangri-La or Grand Hyatt, it’s less intuitive. For example, you have to press the call buttons on both sides, instead of just one up or down button that calls the nearest available elevator. As a result, it’s common for people to press both sides, unsure which elevator will arrive first. This often leads to confusion and inefficiency.
But waiting time for the elevator wasn't good at all. If you lucky you get elevator after 5min and then it will stop at almost every floor, mostly used by the staff personnel. I asked one of the stuff members why they didn't use elevator for stuff designated, he told me that is to far to walk.
There were six elevators, but they were not connected to one another, so you had to press multiple buttons to call one. As a result, guests often pressed several buttons, and the elevators frequently stopped on floors where no one was waiting.

Dress code may be a tad inconvenient for some Westerners. Even though my flip flops were high quality with diamontes on them, I had to change and I only had sneakers which did not go with my outfit for Xmas eve.
And not an issue for me but for security, your card will only work on the floor you’re at. If you have friends in another floor, they have to let you in. I love that safety feature personally.
To start with, the facility smell weird, the hallway going to ur room smells bad… like really bad. Not vented and no AC, imagine a humid hallway with thick dirty carpets 😩

Meanwhile, the clinic on the fifth floor offered me an excellent diagnosis and medication advice, which allowed me to recover and successfully return to my country that same evening.
Bar was closed two nights in a row as well due to special events which i think would be nice if they let the guests inform.
There were 6 elevators in two banks of 3, so you never had to wait for more than a few seconds for the lift.

Also - the carpet in the hallway of the floor where my room was located smelt musty and kind of aggravated my asthma
The outdoor building needs to be clean & painted new, inner area are needed to be decorated & need to add something new.
Also the who’s upgrade to the tv system, so I did not get a chance to watch tv over my 4 days stay.

Many floors, so despite the number of elevators, there can be a bit of a wait to go up and down.
We have book executive with free Lounge access but we were not allowed to visit the lounge more than once.
The elevator going from the main lobby to the 7th floor was super fast as well as quiet.

Great safety and health precautions monitoring people who enter the hotel for fever amid the current health situation.
Could not access many parts of the hotel during our stay due to events booking out facilities.
The elevators that were a bit shaky, though I can see repairs and upgrades are ongoing.

Security was one of my biggest concerns and they provided night level security for their guest
I think vacuuming them everyday would be a great option as some inc us have allergies.
Their elevators need some upgrading too as you need to press all up/down buttons around.

The checks at the entrance each time you had to enter the building
The lobby is like as if always chaotic..too crowded and quite disturbing
Security, beauty, cleanliness, and working order of air conditioning, WiFi, and water.

I was able to use the Wi-Fi without any problems.
Everything about this place is exceptional ! From the amenities,
Bar on 27th floor offering nice views and live entertainment.

Carpet with unpleasant smell along the corridor.
, the hallway smelt musty .
The property's level of security

Restaurant: What guests say
View Diamond Hotel Philippines60 relevant reviews
Dining reviews are mixed: several praise delicious food and buffets with excellent quality, variety, and changing stations, while others report mediocre or cold meals, limited selections, and poor room-service food. High prices recur, especially for buffets and hotel restaurants. Slow or unreliable service—including forgotten orders and long delivery waits—is also reported.

Ordering from room service was a nightmare. no one answers, or they call you much after you order to let you know they don’t have the dish requested. I was on a business trip and had to sleep late at night as my dinner took ages to arrive.
2. The Food - My wife just told me "The chefs are having a bad day at the kitchen" The tocino is dried as hell. The vibes of the dinner location is great however, the food doesn't match. Most of the food Don't taste good.
The food at Yurakuen. The meat was very fatty and overcooked, with so much grease that it was unpleasantly greasy. The sake was far too expensive. The salmon sashimi smelled fishy and was unpleasant.

Bar service (the waitress didn't even know what a gin and tonic was). Everyone has to learn, but a waiter should at least know what they are being asked for.
The pizza in the bar menu said tomatoes, onions and green peppers and we expected those toppings. Unfortunately the waiter said that stuff was in the sauce.
We were properly dressed & tried going to the rooftop bar but was turned away because they said they were full even if they were clearly not.

The only draw back if I was to pick at something it would be more western style food on the menu in the one restaurant
Also, the lunch buffet is not worth it for 3k for each pax as they have minimal meal options as compared to other hotels.
Dress code at the restaurants. The Japanese restaurant in the hotel where we ate was below par, with poor food and weak service.

There is also a halal restaurant that serves good food, especially meat kabsa and Bukhari rice. It is called Al Qaiser Restaurant.
We ate once for the lunchtime buffet which was almost 6500 php for 2 people which i thought was way too expensive.
We then did not go back and the 5 days after was cold food dry food nasty tasting room service food.

The buffet had so many stations to choose from and the selection changed each day. Food was delicious and excellent quality.
We enjoyed eating at both the Japanese restaurant for our anniversary and also at the Lobby Diner for the next morning.
Seafood buffet in the evening was not very good. Meals were medium warm, seafood selection rather limited, dessert selection limited

Cornice restaurant overpriced, the food and choice very average, arrived late only left overs , cold and service slow
I understand cultural considerations but would have loved to have more halal options due to my religious dietary requirements.
The dinner at Yurakuen was an experience to remember for my little daughters and the food was great!

It took me 30 MINS TO GET MY DRINK ORDER. Absolutely disgusting in A 5 STAR HOTEL.
We went to the club for breakfast the next time; it was much more pleasant there.
Some of the food at the house was really great. Dinner was always good—occasionally fantastic!

We were able to eat dishes prepared right in front of us by the chef.
Lobby cafe charged $10 for a small single cup of coffee and a stale pastry.
They also have delicious room delivery meals - wonton soup, hainanese chicken and burger.

And enjoy very good complimentary cocktails and small dishes in the late afternoon.
Food was amazing however the cakes were very dry and hard to eat.
The bar 27 on the 27th floor with live music is perfect,

The food in the lounge room is simple and lacks variety.
Dinning is very nice services and the food excellent
And has an excellent restaurant in hotel also.

Check-in / Check-out: What guests say
View Diamond Hotel Philippines33 relevant reviews
Check-in and checkout were often described as quick, easy, and courteous; guests also appreciated luggage storage, room upgrades, and early check-in or late checkout when available. Recurring frustrations included upgrade pressure, unanswered requests, extra charges, and delays: one guest waited an hour for a room key, while another was charged nearly $100 for early check-in.

When i was checking in,I got in the queue and was waiting patiently for my turn to check in. Then there was this lady who, out of nowhere, cut in front of me to check in and the front desk clerk entertained her. When i attempted to get the attention of the front desk clerk to tell her that the lady infront of me cut me off, the front desk attendant told me to wait as she has to finish checking the lady in first.
I specified asked for early check in and it wasn’t available, but somehow the diamond club ViP was available right away with extra payment. i ended up paying almost $100 extra just for early check in due to my flight arriving earlier
As I argued that I didn’t pay less for for booking 1 adult and a child and with hotel.com booking a child is up to 17 yo then it’s not my fault. They agreed not to charge me extra

However, no one get back to me. Then I tried to request for an early check-in in, then again no get back at me. The last one is the late check-out, again no one replied.
There were six of us staying in three rooms, so we were provided with connecting rooms at check-in, but the connecting door was locked and we couldn’t use them as connecting rooms.
They wanted the money immediately even though my credit card was valid. It took an hour before we got the room key, even though they knew what time we were arriving.

They also said there was no need to change rooms and that I wouldn't be able to return to my room until 11 pm, which was too late.
They could have also anticipated at checkin that there will be construction noises at that part of the hotel and avoided putting us in the room.
Everything was great except during check in they wanted to charge me extra although my booking was for 2 people and breakfast is free for 2.

The initial receptionist when we arrived was unfriendly and immediately asked us to upgrade our room despite us paying for the King room in advance.
At check out I was handed a bill for consuming beverages etc. From our suite That weren't even there to start with.?
At check-in, they tried to persuade us to book a room upgrade, even though we had already not chosen standard rooms.

However, this was done in a friendly manner, but I still felt that trying three times was too much.
Although it was before check-in, they stored our luggage so we could go sightseeing around the city.
I ended up checking out despite losing the $1500 I prepaid for the 6 day stay

When we checked into the hotel, our bags was not sent up to the room.
The receptionists who assisted our check in and check out gave an excellent service.
Initially booked for 1 night stay then decided to extend for another day.

The only explanation I received was that the booking could not be canceled,
From the moment I arrived, to the time that I checked out,
Check-in staff was welcoming, friendly, accommodating, and upgraded us for our anniversary.

We tried to cancel our reservation but the hotel wouldn’t .
Early check-in and late check-out were greatly appreciated and hugely helpful.
Check in and check out were very fast and smooth.

The check in staff basically clocked us for wearing thongs.
I encountered some issues during the check-in process,
The check-in procedures were easy and fast.

Courteous service from check-in to check out.
Preferred check-in on the 25th floor.
If we came downstairs it’s valid.

Pool: What guests say
View Diamond Hotel Philippines30 relevant reviews
Guests often praised the pool as clean, attractive, and enjoyable, though reports on cleanliness were mixed. It can become crowded with families and children, and several guests found it very shallow—about 3 to 3.5 feet. Access was confusing, with one report of hazardous stairs; pool-bar service and worn loungers also drew complaints.

It would be nice if the pool was heated. The access to the pool through the backdoor stairs is quite dangerous for the kids. The smoking area near the poolside is quite uncomfortable for those enjoying the pool.
And the pool is only 3.5 feet deep I like a pool that is bigger and has an area at least 8 to 10 feet deep and a slide would be nice..
Bikini Thongs are also not allowed at the pool, so if you're looking to get rid of your tan lines, this place isn't for you.

It was a hassle to have to go to the bar counter each time I wanted to order a drink from the pool bar.
The pool is not appealing at all and is usually overcrowded with families with children. (The photos on the website are not realistic.)
Unfortunately, we only stayed one night, but I’ve stayed at the hotel before and used their pool as well.

I saw the janitor sweeping floor water from the side of the pool into the pool (disgusting)
It has a superb sky bar, with music and quality services, swimming pool ok.
Over looking the Manila Bay as well as the pool was the best!

Unless you take two flights of stairs using entry on level 2.
It was difficult to find the way to the pool and gym.
Pool's lounge chairs were old and worn out, stains on the cushions.

We didn’t get a chance to swim due to other engagements.
The children enjoyed the swimming pool, despite really busy periods.
Only negatives are the swimming pool is only 3’ deep

Being able to use the pool even after check-out

Transport: What guests say
View Diamond Hotel Philippines16 relevant reviews
The hotel is close to the airport and bus terminals, and some guests valued its airport transfer, taxi driver, and help hailing rides. However, arranging transfers or taxis was sometimes difficult or unresponsive, and one guest found hotel-booked transport 4–5 times more expensive than using an app; the airport is about a 30-minute taxi ride away.

Hotel markups on additional services - I understand profit has to be made. But sourcing my own transport via a reputable app was 4-5 times cheaper each time, than booking via the transport desk. Which is a shame.
The main and only entrance of the hotel screen both security and vaccination card. you need to bring your vaccination card to enter the premises if not they will not let you get inside
I needed a taxi for a meeting, but after waiting 20 minutes, I got a Grab myself because the hotel apparently couldn’t manage it.

And can also help hail a taxi if you’re having trouble booking a Grab ride.
Arranging the transfer from the airport to the hotel was cumbersome and didn't work out.
They also have a designated taxi driver for the hotel which came in handy alot

They helped carry our luggage from the moment our taxi arrived at the entrance.
Failed to help book shuttle multiple times, no response via messaging.
Conveniently located close to the airport & bus terminals

And it took ages to go up and down.
And able to transfer her to medical hospital.
Comes with one way free airport transfer

30 min taxi drive to the airport.
And the availability of shuttle service.
And leaving the Grab car,

CLose to the airport

Having booked a massage it was a big surprise to enter a freezing cold room. The staff did all they could but it should be a given that a massage room should be warm and relaxing.
The spar did not work- was on 2 week’s renovation- of which I was not mad aware hiring my booking process.
Received an awful electrical shock from a spa, left me feeling unwell and sleepless for 24 hours

And separate saunas and hot tubs for men and women.
And also the massage at the Spa.
Suana & steam bath were functional.

The sauna was out of order
Massage services available
N sauna.

The gym can definitely use an upgrade. You can barely move inside because it's so small.
There is a gym, though it is small and has somewhat old equipment.
The fitness center is a little small for a hotel of this size.

Gym facilities were disappointing in comparison to the grandeur of the hotel.
Poor gym facilities and men’s section not open.
The hotel has a small gym,

Gym is good enough.
And a gym
And gym

Parking is terrible. Not enough space. No need for the security x-ray machine in the garage. Somebody with bad intent can just bring it to the front door and do the same.
Heat load is extreme in the car park, not good for health, almost passed out when i came down the stairwell. Too hot.
There were no elevators connecting the parking space to the lobby.

Parking could have been better
Should bring back ballet parking.
The parking,
