To my knowledge, this hotel is a five-star establishment, and its staff should treat customers, especially Arabs, courteously. In general, the staff’s treatment is extremely poor, and I do not recommend this hotel for Arab families.
My partner and I recently had the pleasure of staying at EQ Hotel Kuala Lumpur, and I am compelled to share the extraordinary experience we enjoyed during our time there.
The only thing I’d like to mention is - as this is a top 5 star hotel in KL, the cleanliness was not up to the standards.

However, during our visit the experience was not quite what we expected from a hotel positioned as one of Kuala Lumpur’s leading luxury properties.
To use a baseball analogy, it was definitely three strikes and you’re out when it came to my 3 night stay at EQ.
We only had three days in KL this time, but EQ made every one of them memorable. We will definitely be back.

The hotel basically offers every service, but the internal communication fails when it comes to organizing these services smoothly for the guest.
I do not recommend staying there, especially for Arab families, due to the poor treatment by everyone except the security guards.
I highly recommend EQ Hotel for anyone visiting Kuala Lumpur, especially business travelers looking for a comfortable and convenient retreat.

Came to celbrate my husband’s birthday and the whole team from EQ made it easy and memorable for us.
We are unimpressed with the way the hotel handled the situation as it did not meet 5 star standards.
The EQ Kuala Lumpur will always be my home away from home the next time I’m in town!!

All in all, it was the perfect retirement gift for my mum and a truly memorable stay.
With pleasure, I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the excellent stay at your hotel.
Fabulous hotel in a great location with top quality staff making sure it all works well.

I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and
It was 1 of maybe 3 best hotels ive stayed at in my entire life.
We have had a very traumatic year and really needed a rest and relaxing time.

I assume this is because I was dressed casually when asking in the morning (?)
I didn’t like that I stayed only for 1 night. Should have stayed longer. LOL
Otherwise, we were completely satisfied, and the value for money was also extremely good.

This will become my go to hotel whenever I find myself in Kuala Lumpur!
We had a wonderful time and would be happy to return here again.
I felt so pampered during my stay and wished we could stay longer!

Stay in a very high-quality hotel with five-star service and an exceptional rooftop
This was our eighth trip to Kuala Lumpur, so we’ve had the opportunity to experience quite a few hotels across the city. Having stayed at many different properties, I can honestly say that EQ is now one of our favourites and one of the best hotels we’ve experienced in KL.
Twas’ is an Amazing Staycation. !! Actually it was my wedding staycation. Right after my wedding day. I had no idea of going Kuala Lumpur. That very night on 13th I made my booking. Without looking at the reviews and whatsoever I made it to EQ in the morning.

If you are still thinking about booking it, don’t! It is well worth it for the cost which considering the level of standard provided, it is quite reasonable when you compare it to similar hotels in other big cities around the world. And we have travelled a lot!
We will definitely return to EQ again and again, and we highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an exceptional experience in Kuala Lumpur. Whether you want to relax, indulge in great service, or simply enjoy a luxurious stay, EQ Hotel will surpass your expectations.
(2) Furthermore, if you are an Amex ("American Express", esp. platinum) holder, and you have access to Hotel Collection, this hotel is part of that, and as of right now, you can get a $150 F&B/laundry credit if you have a stay of 2+ nights.

We also had a very unpleasant altercation with a large family group - adults and older teenagers, which was not dealt with in a way that satisfied us particularly as my 75 year old husband was sworn at in the most foul language and we were continued to be mocked and made fun of even after the manager had come up and spoken to them.
Exceptional Service and Staff The staff at EQ Hotel truly made my stay pleasant. Their service was consistently excellent, but I must give a special mention to the Front Desk team, especially Mr. Aliff and Mr. Joel. They were both incredibly professional, welcoming, and efficient, making
Special shout out to Aslina and Azrul who looked after us so well – every request was met with a smile and with ease. Thank you both and to your staff, keep up the good work! We'll be back!

They sent us a bellboy to supposedly help with the move but felt ridiculed that he request us to give him all the keycards of the current room for him to complete his task of the night.
But what set this stay apart for me was the staff. Every single person we interacted with was warm, friendly, and incredibly accommodating. They made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived.
And the staff provided clear information on the stay. Every time that we see a hotel staff, they never failed to greet us even if we were not making eye contact.

Everything about this hotel is simply outstanding. The level of service provided is exceptional—every staff member we encountered was warm, professional, and genuinely dedicated to making our stay memorable.
The staff at this hotel are absolutely amazing! Very accommodating and super nice. They make you feel like "your wish is my command" in a very humble way.
Her dedication to ensuring that our family had a memorable experience did not go unnoticed and played a significant role in making our stay so enjoyable.

After that he mentioned that we can just simply bring the keycards downstairs, if we do not pass it to him right now(it was almost midnight).
We are very satisfied with the services provided by Anas, the manager of the Sabayon restaurant. He is a professional who met all our expectations.
The team at EQ Hotel not only met but exceeded our expectations, creating a personalized and thoughtful environment that made our stay truly memorable.

Our thanks especially to Anna in the Manager of Club Lounge and Aslina (Director of Guest Services) particularly for their kindness and attention.
And most of all the kind and hospitable staff throughout. They are obviously very well trained but deliver service from the heart.
Each and every member of the hotel knows exactly how to naturally make a guest feel that they are cared for.

Pleasant and friendly staffs yet very helpful. They even helped me to find my wallet and call me to collect, thanks!
Only until my partner and I BOTH reiterated our concerns , then the employee goes to talk to the inconsiderate guest.
Another staff member, a tall young Indian man, was also very helpful and helped carry my luggage to the room.

Stopped by the reception at 130am and was greeted warmly by dinesh, farra , ihhwan, said and fazli !
The only reason i am angry about this hotel is this one staff at reception. Her name was Hazira.
The staff were super attentive and knew us by name even though it was just a short stay.

All staff were friendly and always happy and willing to help and was always greeted with a smile.
I stayed in EQ for two months and have been amazed by the hospitality from day 1.
They went above and beyond to make us feel special throughout our stay, and it truly showed.

And the friendly and pleasant staff were always ever ready to assist the guests with their queries.
3: They could do a better job with the concierge service. The hours seemed limited compared to other nice hotels (Shangri-la) and there is only 1 guy it seems... though I was never sure who was the concierge because no one was ever at the desk, they just kind of mill about. The one time we asked for a service, which was a specific request of taking a short day trip we were told there was no flexibility in the outing and we'd be taken to places we didn't want to go. Maybe we didn't make it clear enough... but not all tourists are the same so they should do a better job of listening to the customer and trying to work with what they are interested in.
The next day, they approached me and asked how I liked their hotel. I said that I was left with a bad impression because of their actions; your transfer booking confirmation states that if I cancel less than 24 hours in advance, I will be charged a 100% fee. But what is your responsibility toward the customer? For example, why did you not provide any bonus—a complimentary room upgrade or breakfast? That was when I heard an apology from them for the first time.

A very special thank you to Azid, Virthiha, Syafiq and Yumiko. Every one of them made us feel genuinely welcomed and valued throughout our stay. What stood out was that their hospitality never felt like they were simply doing their job or providing “customer service”. It genuinely felt as though they wanted to be there, wanted to look after us and took real pleasure in making sure we were enjoying ourselves.
Never once did a staff member show anything less than a beaming smile and a warm greeting, instantly when I was greeted out of my transport I was met by a lovely girl, turned out beautifully and engaged with fantastic information; not limited to perfect sunset times for the pool, and dining recommendations. This continued with every other staff member in my 3 night stay from concierges to fitness centre staff.
Shoel was kind to meet all the expectations till decorated my room when we were out for some day trip and when we were back, the room was decorated with welcome drinks and fruits, and also Anna was very attentive of my arrival back to the hotel, she greeted us at the room, holding a bouquet as a token of our wedding. Anna was such a great sport.

I don't regret splurging for the Premier club king because the view KL Towers you’ll see them lit up whilst lying in your bed, also enjoying stunning city views from the other windows and also Merdeka 118 tower view :) The room was equipped with all the amenities you'd expect in such a room and I enjoyed the turn down service which 'freshened' up the room especially if you'd spent some time in it after housekeeping did their run.
3. Money disappeared from my husband's bedside table. It was not a large amount, and we noticed it was missing just before leaving, so there was no time to investigate, but it left an unpleasant impression. (We should have put everything in the safe.)
And the price they charged for an extra bed. We were 2 adults and a child aged 11, so if you book for 3 people, you may expect that, for that price, there will also be 3 sleeping places

Hotel room service is wonderful, almost everything was replaced after every room service e.g towels, bath robes, toiletries etc. and a plus point is that everything on the minibar is FOC and is replaced everyday.
* They did offer to change rooms again on the 4th night but we had given up by then and didn’t want to go through the hassle of packing up everything again.
Only negative feedback would be that the (admittedly, great) shower, because of a poor door seal (in both rooms we booked) did have a propensity to flood the bathroom!

* We were on the 45th floor but somehow there was a bug in the bathroom. That was the only time they came to clean everything properly.
Lastly, the design of the lighting switches is not very intuitive, and it may take some time for guests to understand how to operate them.
The room was very nice, modern and a very comfortable bed though the bathroom is quite small - the smallest of the 3 hotels.

The shower hose in the shower booth was a little short, so I couldn't spray the water directly onto my buttocks or feet.
The concierge did not explain about the room as he wanted it to be a surprise and again a big wow factor.
It is not possible to charge any expenses to the room without a deposit, but this is standard practice in Malaysia.

I cannot flaw this hotel. We stayed 4 nights in one of the twin tower view rooms (worth the upgrade!).
Huge king bed also looking at twin towers, quality bedding and large bath looking at the KL tower. Electric blinds!
Also, Ashik, my room attendant was ever ready to make sure my room is set up perfect each day!

Housekeeping keeps the rooms neat and tidy and snacks and room mini bar got replenished every single day.
It is uncomfortable to shower in the shower cabin, and the drain from the rooms above is loud.
From our room, we had a superb view, with the Petronas Towers right in front of us.

But I guess you have to pay extra to have the better view on the other side.
The "little extras" in the room, like a hairbrush and shaving foam, were a nice touch.
Room is big and comfortable. Big plus was room facing quiet side - not loud traffic!

The pillows are synthetic and poor quality. Sometimes only scalding-hot water came out of the tap.
The room was always clean, and we had a great view of the Twin Towers.
I booked 2 rooms for me and my family before our trip to Genting highland.

As expected, the view from the room was of another high-rise façade with construction work.
We stayed in the Deluxe King Twin Tower with stunning view of the Twin Towers and KL. The rooms are clean and no road noise can be heard, they are also very well appointed and thought out, spacious including ample cupboard and drawers. Nice touch on the soft closing bathroom and toilet doors, butler stand, local made toiletries, complimentary mini bar with local snacks. Beds and pillows were super comfortable. Rooms were made up promptly every day, along with the restock of the mini bar and water.
We had a Premier King Infinity Room — this room offers a 180-degree panoramic view of the city (including the Petronas Towers and KL Tower) and is equipped with every amenity and convenience to make your stay in this fantastic hotel as luxurious as possible. The minibar was complimentary and replenished fresh for us every day. The bed was extremely comfortable and positioned so that you did not even have to leave it to see the most important sights.

I had a pleasant stay at EQ's deluxe twin room. The room was spacious and felt cool upon arrival. Little touches like the controllable blackout blinds being situated near the bed, along with night lights and most of the light switches showed that the hotel prioritised guest experience. The bathtub and rainshower was also a delight to use. The highlight for me was the bed - it was the most comfortable bed I've slept on.
I left a sign on the thermostat " please do not touch". I told the reception to make a note. I spoke to the housekeeping manager. i even waited for the housekeeping and told him personally please don't put the AC on. But each and they kept touching it. The room was always freezing when we would come back to the room which made it difficult to sleep.
The only little things I would mention, is some of the bathroom taps etc may need updating. The shower hose on the bath is quite short which makes it difficult to wash your hair, and the button mechanism to get the shower on didn’t work properly, nor did the bath plug. The air conditioning was also a little bit noisy.

The hotel is directly in the city center and you can watch Fontaine show in KCCL park while you have drink at the lounge, the view is perfect whole day from both side of the building .
It’s perfectly located in the heart of KL, easy to access the many shopping malls, the Petronas twin towers and only a 10 minute grab ride to Chinatown.
The hotel's location, the breakfast, and the rooftop pool. The hotel is accessible by public transport and just a short walk from Jalan Alor Food Street.

Overall it is a beautiful hotel in a very good location and we would love to go back one day, highly recommend!
The very central location and the view of the Petronas Towers: it is worth choosing a room that offers it!
Waking up to the panoramic view of the iconic Petronas Twin Towers was a highlight—breathtaking both day and night.

EQ is strategically located in the Golden Triangle, in close proximity to many dining & shopping options.
Location in the new KL, close to the Petronas Towers, Bukit Bintang, etc. The subway is nearby.
The EQ Kuala Lumpur should be everyone’s choice when looking for luxury accommodations in Kuala Lumpur.

Location is pretty good with Petronas Towers and Pavilion mall only about 10 minute walk.
The hotel is close to Arab Street and the Pavilion, at most a ten-minute walk.
Rooftop bar has a great view and guests can walk in without a reservation.

In the middle of the city center right next to Petronas - awesome location.
Location right in centre so accessible. Walked to most things within 1 km
And every day reccomend activities like what you should visit and see

EQ hotel is set in a good location to get around KL.
And enjoyed the spectacular view of the city at night .
This is the best hotel I have stay in Kuala Lumpur.

Happy hour was a welcomed end to a day’s sightseeing.
We just get back from Christmas getaway in Kuala Lumpur.
Make sure your bag has some room for shopping.

Excellent location as a base for exploring the city.
Stunning views of the city from Sky51 lounge
Location not bad. Can walk to most places.

Beautiful modern hotel in the centre of KL
5: This is only about the location of the hotel. Very little is really walkable from this location if you aren't a fan of waking 20+ minutes in extreme heat. I would definitely pick a location outside the City Center next time. Somewhere with a bit more character.
I tried to find something can be disliked, but I could not, except one thing, the location is in the middle between the pavilion mall and the twin tower, so that you need about 15 minutes walking to reach any of them.

It is not on the same street, but it is close by. I had a child and a stroller with me, so the distance to Arab Street or the restaurants was tiring for me with the stroller and the children.
The food market street is relatively close and easy to access with public transit, but if you just want have a quick snack or enjoy local food, it requires some effort and walking in KL is not very enjoyable experience.
A beautiful location, away from the hustle and bustle of Arab Street, yet close to it and to Pavilion Mall—about a ten-minute walk. It is also not far from the Petronas Twin Towers, which you can reach on foot.

One major issue was the complete lack of seating or relaxation areas in the lobby or entrance. For a hotel with so much open space, it’s surprising, and frankly uncomfortable, that there was nowhere to sit or unwind upon entry or to jut sit and relax. A few well, placed lounge areas would go a long way in improving the guest experience.
There is a lot to like about the hotel. The property itself is modern, stylish and very well maintained, and the staff throughout the hotel were consistently friendly, professional and welcoming. Service was undoubtedly one of the strongest aspects of the stay and the team deserve recognition for their efforts.
Unfortunately, there was also a false fire alarm at around 1am on one night, which continued for approximately 20 minutes and disrupted our sleep. While safety must always come first and these situations can happen at any hotel, it nevertheless affected our overall impression of the stay.

The Club Lounge itself was fantastic, with a great selection of afternoon snacks, evening canapés and drinks. It became somewhere we genuinely enjoyed spending time rather than simply somewhere to grab a quick bite or drink.
Come on : how many places in the world still serving coffee and tea with warm cups? And moreover they even ensure the perfect temperature for each type of tea!
Gave us our room key without telling us about the hotel facilities like dining, gym, pool and where they located, what time breakfast is, where it was.

What dsappointed us most was the fact that part of hotel Infrastructure was private. The Lobby Bar was shot because of a privat event.
It took at least 10 to 15 mins for the lifts as almost every floor is waiting to get on or off!
But what really made our stay special was the Club Lounge and, most importantly, the wonderful team who looked after us.

Highly recommend to book a club room to enjoy the modern club lounge with spectacular views of the city all around.
Unfortunately, we couldn't visit the bar upstairs because my daughter isn't 21, but we certainly won't make it back sometime.
The TV did not have Netflix or a subtitles function for the movie channel. The TV programme options were limited.

But they lock the toilet at 10 pm signalling that they do not want to have you around anymore.
The attention to detail throughout the hotel was evident, from the spotless bathroom to the well-kept facilities.
They do not even clean the sink, so they did not notice it was completely clogged.

The cleanliness of the hotel is remarkable, with every space maintained to the highest standards.
You have to leave an extra deposit to have services charged to your room.
The large lobby, which is not very welcoming for an establishment of this standard

In house guests could visit Sky51 without restriction which was a nice touch
We stayed here for 3 nights, extremely happy about the facilities and services!
The minibar was constantly restocked, which helped us when we went exploring.

You cannot get a bottle or wine opener from the hotel
-Hotel Cleanliness: Excellent and meticulous cleaning in all common areas.
The hotel itself is well-maintained, and everything is aesthetically pleasing.

The service is top-notch! The rooftop bar is also wow!
The Bottega Lounge with afternoon tea was an experience.
Part of the hotel building is dedicated to business

The hotel foyer is so grand and opulent.
The ambience and chic design of the hotel.
The hotel cleaning service was well appreciated.

The breakfast is definitely not at the level of a 5 stars hotel. Yes, at 10 am it is crowded. However, the space is small. Some tables are in the hotel lobby. Many food missing and even after 10 minutes not filled up. Tables and ambiance not really welcoming. Worst the egg station. For such a big hotel only 1 cook with two pans. To accelerate the long waiting (the queue was blocking other guests grabbing their food) they did not use the stations and cooks just in the back.
Out of all our hotels we were expecting this Club lounge to be the best in regard to food and refreshments however, it doesn't come close to the Shangri La 200 meters up the road, where we had stayed the previous 6 nights. The canapes were repetitive and underwhelming. The same small cheese and sweet (2) selection, the rather tasteless cold small offerings and a few warm at best, hot offerings. No bubbles on offer at all. Breakfast there was similar - no real variety.
Though the breakfast spread is good, the pastry items were average and lacked the fine quality expected from a 5-star hotel. Plus, EQ would do well to add some more live stations. The Indian dishes were confined to roti and curry and dal. It would be more helpful if they had proper Indian breakfast items such as idli, wada, parathas and dosas etc.

Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was a highlight of our stay. The buffet offered an impressive variety of choices, including traditional Malaysian dishes, fresh local fruits, eggs cooked to order, and some of the most delicious roti we’ve ever had—made fresh right in front of us while we waited. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.
The breakfast was terrible. There were 2 dining rooms and we weee put in the inferior one both days. Being told the main was full even though we saw certain people being put in the best one. Very disappointing.
Breakfast had good spread - was impressed with promotion of local dishes - staff dressed in traditional costume to serve Nasi Lemak, live station for Roti Canai and teh tarik was available.

In many 5-star hotels around the world, breakfast is provided in the room for guests who leave early in the morning before the restaurant opens for breakfast.
Serving breakfast and afternoon tea, it's the perfect place to start the day or unwind after a busy day of sightseeing or shopping.
Breakfast was good variety of local and international , chef Krishnan going around talking to the guests like old friends !

The daily buffet breakfast was incredible with a wide variety of foods available to cater to almost every background.
They also have a very good breakfast spread. The fruits were fresh and the Tea Tarik was enjoyable.
At breakfast we would have appreciated to have more healthy cereals like muesli and gluten-free food

The breakfast was outstanding with a wide range of different cuisines and freshly cooked food.
There were vegan options and soy milk, fresh fruits, rice, vegetables & veg. dahl.
The choice of fruit at breakfast was poor and there was little variety

The breakfast was slightly below the standard of the rest of the hotel.
Staff completely ignores you and are not taking orders unless you insist.
The breakfast is varied and the products are of very good quality.

I would have wished for more fruit than just melon and pineapple.
The breakfast was fantastic, offering a wide variety of delicious options.
And a very decent breakfast spread in the main restaurant.

Breakfast is nice and large but minimal options for vegetarians.
Crowdy and nozy, a bit too much at the breakfast
You will not go without at the buffet breakfast.

Better selection for breakfast, esp with more fruit needed.
The breakfast had a delicious variety of options.
Excellent breakfasts, with a huge variety of dishes

And breakfast had lots of choice .
What time breakfast is, where it was.
The buffet catered to various palette.

4: This one would be nearly impossible to change... but I wish they had an indoor pool in addition to the outdoor. We didn't get to test it because it was raining and the pool was closed. So a warmer indoor pool would be great! But alas, that would be hard to put into a building after the fact.
On several occasions there were young children using areas reserved for older guests, while others were running around the pool, jumping into the water and playing between loungers. Families are of course welcome, but guests seeking a quieter and more relaxing environment may find the atmosphere different from what they expect.
The fault was directly as a result of one of the family members diving into the pool right where we sat ( by the way, signs saying quite clearly that no diving was allowed) and drenching us, our books and belongings with water then laughing at us.

The pools on the 29th floor, with a view of the TV tower, are wonderful. We especially liked the heated pool with a Jacuzzi. After a day of walking around the city, relaxing in the pool while watching the sunset was just perfect.
The loungers at the pool are without a doubt the most uncomfortable I have ever used, the bars protrude through and feel like a torture device! It put you off wanting to use the pool, please invest in some new loungers!
There are few shaded spots around the pool area, and unfortunately there were far too many screaming children. The large pool was actually supposed to be for guests aged 14 and over only, but unfortunately this rule was not observed.

I had visions of eating satay and drinking gin and tonics by the pool but when I asked for a g and t I was told the beverage menu only consisted of water, soft drink and canned beer.
Pool area would have benefitted from bar/outside service area as there is nowhere to have a drink and snack outside during the day time and additional sunbeds.
So I was appalled to find a very very noisy Malay family disrupting the sauna with their children running around and screaming in the vicinity.

When we went to the pool, we couldn't find any staff, and it was a little crowded, so we came back later.
The bar on the top floor was exceptional, and the pool area with sauna and steam room was very relaxing.
Pool closed during our stay which we understand is necessary but nothing offered to make up for this disappointment.

Service around the pool was not up to the same standard as the rest of the hotel.
The pool was so good and relaxing, and also a great spot to take tremendous pictures.
The other day it was too full so better go back to the room.

The pool is lovely for an afternoon swim and doesn’t get too busy
The pool on the 29th floor was very nice though quite shallow.
Sadly, the pool was closed our entire stay, but that is temporary.

The facilities are impressive, particularly the pool area and wellness facilities.
Shld try the top notch infinity pool and the vitality pool!
The swimming pool was very nice, with the same outstanding view.

The pool itself was incredible, the hydro pool was perfect
The hot tub with warm water was also pleasant.
We also enjoyed the amazing infinity pool, health pool

Food and drink options at the pool were limited.
The views from the sky bar and the pool
The pool on the 29th floor is superb

Jacuzzi and panoramic pool on the 29th floor
The pool and its view is just stunning
Rooftop pool was great, especially the jacuzzi.

There is nowhere in the hotel to eat European food with children. Children under 12 are not allowed in the upstairs restaurants. At Nipah, only local food was available for dinner at the buffet, although European food had been advertised; not a single European dish was available during the dinner buffet, and à la carte service was not offered during Ramadan.
At the Japanese restaurant, there was an unfriendly woman who did not greet us and reluctantly approached when called. She showed us the menu with an annoyed expression, and when we decided to stay, she said my husband could not remain, although he was wearing formal shorts, a shirt, and loafers—an entirely acceptable smart-casual outfit. It was +32°C outside, guys. Ridiculous.
The food offering there though was very 2nd rate. We ordered 2 caesar salads only to be told there was only 1 so we decided to share it. Well it comes in a pre packed cardboard box with a few bits of lettuce , chopped up chicken, soggy croutons, cheese shavings and a tub of dressing with disposable cutlery!

• Blue (the rooftop bar) offers breathtaking views of Kuala Lumpur and an excellent atmosphere. A special thank you to Dedi, Iqbal, Boy, and Lyn for their great service and hospitality. A special thank you to David, the manager of Sky51 and Blue, who ensured that every moment we spent there was perfect.
1. The Sky Bar focuses mainly on drinks; the selection of finger food is very limited and not tasty. We expected to have dinner, but the menu cannot be viewed anywhere in advance, and a table must be booked ahead of time.
We had planned our itinerary around the hotel. We wanted to try 1 hotel restaurant/cafe per day and also visit the Sky bar every other night since we wanted a relaxing end to our Asia trip for our 30th birthday.

Afternoon tea and evening cocktails. The food was creative and well prepared, with a lovely mix of local and Western flavours (though a few more local tea-time favourites would have been nice - a small nitpick).
Not to be able to have a drink at midnight upon arrival at rooftop bar (as we had a table booked at 23pm but plane delay...) since the bar closes at ...1am!
They also informed us that the restaurant on the 51 st floor, which is not age restricted , is not available for us on that day and all other days.

The roof top bar has a great vibe and we didn’t have an issue in booking a table for a couple of drinks on one of the evenings.
We accepted this and the lady at the desk said that she would inform us if this situation changed whilst we were in the bar.
The food at the restaurants were okay, but not as good as expected for the quality of the hotel and the prices.

And I also had one dinner in the 1st floor Japanese restaurant, and then one lunch in the 51st floor restaurant.
Also, the champagne glasses provided were not dry and had water droplets on them, as shown in the attached photo.
I have ordered wine by the glass at the lounge bar and it came already poured and was acidic.

Also used the level 51 bar which was blooming gorgeous and the drinks and view were amazing
To enable access to highest 51st floor families with children to experience this dining in the sky.
Downstairs cafe could not get a coffee order right no matter what - so much confusion

BUT it is 24 hours and always comes within 30-40 minutes so that’s a plus!
The Nipah restaurant on the ground floor served delicious satay, again with attentive staff.
I was actively discouraged from going to the bar or restaurant when I’d enquire.

Cocktailbar service sky51 was better in the past (speed of order was too slow).
The buffet restaurant was wonderful and the whole family enjoyed all the food.
Good food but chicken rendang that came with the nasi lemak was salty.

His response was abrupt and unhelpful reinforcing the need for a reservation.
The food in the blue sky bar was less than favourable unfortunately.
Also the top deck restaurant & cocktail bar were like a dream

Restaurant: The hotel's restaurant service was not used on this trip.
The food is great and delicious, but it isn’t cheap either.
The views from the rooftop bar and restaurant are SPECTACULAR.

I made the reservation through Booking.com, and the amount was charged. When I went there and completed the check-in, I went up to the assigned room. Ten minutes later, a receptionist named Suma came and asked to charge me an additional ten thousand ringgit, claiming that the first amount had not been charged. I told her that the amount had been charged to the card, but she refused and said I had to either pay or leave. I paid the amount because of the circumstances of traveling, exhaustion, and fatigue.
For work reasons I had to extend my stay by two days and after I went to the reception two days before the deadline, the guy advised me to book for the next two days needed in booking and I proceeded to make the reservation and together with him we chose the same room as the one I already stay in but on returning to the hotel my keys didn't work and the room still had to be cleaned.
Since my first booking with Anna for 2 nights, I wanted to surprise my wife since she was really comfortable and happy enjoying and her inner child came out, I met Anna and Krishen again at club lounge, to ask for an extension night and they gave me a very good deal which is surprisingly gave me an extension of another night..

I requested check-in at 12 noon, but despite available vacant rooms, they did not give me a room and offered either to wait until 3 p.m. or take a room 1.5 times more expensive—the most expensive one available. I had to pay so that I wouldn’t have to sit around like an orphan in a five-star hotel.
Meanwhile the system is not working optimally, he joked with me that the system also sore throat like me lol. Hahaha just a small joke but he really brightened up my sick day😄And he would able to get the check-in session done in just 2 minutes while the system is down.
On the day of departure, we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel after checking out, and when we came to pick it up, we could still use the shower and changing rooms in the gym—very convenient when you want to freshen up before a long flight!

First before arriving in Kuala Lumpur I made a call to ensure my booking for the EQUATOR CLUB ROOMS AND SUITES with the Club Lounge Access was received and confirmed by EQ team, and I was connected to Miss Anna, she was the superhero of my whole stay.
I am not sure whether it is a standard practice to serve guests with a welcome drink as I observed that others who checked in were given whereas nothing was offered to us even though we were sitting at the lobby waiting for the room to be ready.
We needed to check in before 1pm to do our prayer so we could go to kamapchi at 1.30 and spa at 2.30pm. The staff keep repeating check in is at 3pm eventho i told him to check with housekeepimg. Luckily someone intervened and gave us the room.

Once the staff realised we had booked Club Lounge access, we were quickly escorted up to Level 50, where we were welcomed with a refreshing drink and a cold towel. Within around five minutes, we had been checked in and were on our way to our room.
Mr. Krishen was there every day to patiently troubleshoot issues when we needed help, check in on me everyday all the way till I checked out, even assisting me with my luggage on the last day - something he really didn't need to do.
The guest experience office took notice of my concerns (I wish not to say what it was) and apologize for their shortcoming. They also helped me to secure and return an item which I left after I checked out.

Most notably, we arrived at the hotel early in the morning. The hotel was full and early check-in was not possible, but the staff made all the necessary arrangements, and we did not notice how the 8 hours passed.
My parents and I especially appreciated how he kept in touch with us all the way through to when we checked in, staying on even though his shift was over to make sure everything went ok on arrival.
We were a group of 12. When we arrived on the evening of 2/18 to check in, one of our elders is not feeling well. So I asked Hazira to check in the elder's room first,

I would like to thank the reception staff during check-in for choosing a room for me on the highest floor, the 39th floor, where you can partially see the Petronas Twin Towers.
They put on a show— they took my phone to take a screenshot of the number that had called me. I upgraded my room to the highest category, Infinity.
Upon arrival, we were escorted to the 50th floor for private check-in at the Equator Club Lounge, which immediately set the tone for a relaxed stay.

From the moment we arrived until the day we checked out, every member of the team made us feel genuinely welcomed and valued.
From the moment the booking was made up to the second we checked out, it felt that we were seen as guests.
After checking out of EQ Hotel on June 16, 2024, I left two dresses behind due to my own negligence.

We arrived before check in time - our flight landed early morning -, just only to drop our luggage.
We arrived directly to level 50 and my wife and I was greeted like a mass guest.
But never managed to get to the level of immaculate cleanliness as day of check in.

I had no choice but to pay more to upgrade the room to check in.
They said only from 11pm so I thought lets give it a try though.
On the day of our departure, they also offered us a late check-out

The other coupke checking in next to us had a full breifing.
And then only the reception offered us a change of room
Personalised check in on floor 50 with amazing views.

Gym staff insisted I wear shoes at the gym for safety reasons which I can appreciate, however, there were small children and grandmas allowed through the gym like a playground. So there is real no safety being enforced to families in the gym but actual gym goers were being punished unfairly.
Were all super clean and relaxing. there is a trainer at the gym, kai, which hosts free workout sessions than anyone can join in regardless of skill level, he even adapted the workout to my husband who has a prosthetic leg.
The best hotel gym ever and it’s not even just a hotel gym; it’s a proper 24-hour commercial gym that even has Stairmaster, rowers, a squat rack, smith machine, etc

Gave us our room key without telling us about the hotel facilities like dining, gym, pool and where they located, what time breakfast is, where it was.
We used the gym changing facilities on floor 29 on our last day to shower and freshen up before a late flight and these were superb.
I used the amazing gym they had and special thanks for Ben who was there every day with a bottle of water and towel for me.

One of the standout aspects of EQ is the gym—equipped with top-of-the-line Technogym machines, it’s well-maintained, spacious, and perfect for keeping up with fitness routines.
It seemed to me the noise of an indoor cycle, even though the 7x24 hours gym is 3 levels below my room.
I wanted to use both the pool and the gym, but I didn’t have time to, which made me sad.

Additionally, having a 24-hour gym available was a great convenience, allowing me to maintain my fitness routine even while traveling.
The gym is among the best we have seen in a hotel with machines, free weights, several treadmills, etc.
Everything was excellent, but we especially enjoyed the rooftop pool and gym to relax after visiting the city.

The gym was amazing! Many machines of excellent quality, a very large space divided in 2 areas.
It also had one of the best equipped gyms I've seen in a hotel in a while.
The changing rooms in the gym have the sauna and steam room which close at 10PM.

The facilities such as the gym and infinity pool is really great, gym is opened 24hrs.
Again, little touches like having infused water, apples, towels and wet wipes at the gym
Gym has a good variety of equipment and nice changing rooms with other facilities too.

Gym: One of the best equipped gyms I have ever seen in a hotel.
Gym was very good - one of the best hotel gyms we've used.
Also, hotel gyms are rarely good, but this one was excellent.

The gym/fitness area was also pretty good for a hotel.
The gym and the two pools are also fantastic.
The gym was also very well equipped.

Best - Gym and pool facilities
Good gym, which my wife used.
It is available 24 hours.

Gym is well equipped.
The superbly equipped gym.
And the gym.

Spa staff were better at massage than facial. Amd they were no one to guide us through the usage of the steam bath etc (no timer). No one waited for us after the facial. My friends were looking for me and i was waiting for them for tea. The manager took a break. We wanted to know if there was package we could sign up.
It was only pure luck that I was still in my swimming bikini when I came out of the Spa Shower, and was then greeted by a stampede of a Muslim family PLUS their UNDERAGED CHILDREN staring and giving me looks.
Deep tissue massage was a bit disappointing, it should have been way more stronger. Even when I asked for more pressure, I felt like my muscles weren’t worked through properly.

The spa was relaxing and stress free to book, although a little on the pricy side, their services are marvellous and they offer a wide range of massages and baths.
It had a warm spa pool which was lovely but could get crowed and was very popular with small children so we chose not to use it.
In my last visit in December '22 , adult guests used the sauna , some even in nude as one would usually be in a sauna.

The prices inside the hotel are very high. The massage prices are expensive, so I had to go outside, where it was much cheaper.
The ladies spa facilities include a steam bath, Himalayan salt sauna and a relaxing rainforest shower experience which is free for guest to use.
Yesterday morning around 940am, the staff in spa room asked us to get out immediately because it was not the time

The unexpected monsoon shower and saunas (though I didn't get a chance to use it) was clean, comfortable and luxurious.
The swimming pool and spa, being non-chlorinated, didn't leave my skin and hair with the nasty residue it usually leaves.
Never forget the spa team who made us felt welcomed and surprised too! Thanks to our masseuse Sha & Ailyn!

Be sure to check out the Salt Sauna, Steam Room and Monsoon Shower experience in the locker room!
We tried the SPA and it was good, the staff were pleasant and the facility was well done.
They have a separate sauna and steam rooms for males and females, so it's pointless for couples.

There is a changing room with sauna, monsoon shower & steam room which are simply awesome!
And the Sanctum Spa is absolutely worth a visit — wonderfully relaxing and beautifully run.
We had a deep tissue massage which is one of the best I’ve ever had.

The pool and thermal spa area was another area where the experience fell short.
Do yourself a favour and book the equator club for some extra pampering !
Spa experience was just perfect, they thought about all little details for customer comfort.

We particularly enjoyed the spa, with a sauna, steam room, and rain shower.
And, the Himalayan Salt Sauna is not to be missed.
It was hard to book the spa.

The pool and sauna are wonderful.
And spa with awesome views.
The spa is amazing.

And sauna was exceptional.
And spa facilities.
And spa facilities

It did appear they have almost no elderly guests, and maybe we are just bad at timing things, but you never know if the ride will be there in 2 minutes or 10 before you click to order it (and even then traffic makes it more unpredictable) so it would be great to have a place to sit.
They said they would arrange an airport transfer for 50% of the price, i.e. 190 local coins. In the end, an old Toyota—not a Mercedes—arrived for me in the morning, at twice the price of a Grab ride (at least Grab’s Toyota would be new). Apparently, they do not have any good cars at all.
2) We had booked an airport transfer in a Mercedes E-Class for 360 local rupees. When we arrived, no one met us. I called the number and was told, “Go straight ahead; they are waiting for you.” Five minutes later, they called back and said the hotel had canceled our transfer.

The overall car traffic didn't disturb us, but during the night there seemed to be some sort of drag racing going on and extremely loud cars and motorbikes revved their engines in the middle of the night and woke us up.
The food market street is relatively close and easy to access with public transit, but if you just want have a quick snack or enjoy local food, it requires some effort and walking in KL is not very enjoyable experience.
I had some very difficult challenges with my air. Asia Flight and Concierge spent no less than four different occasions helping me to sort this out and they were absolutely amazing. Couldn’t have been more helpful.

On arrival at the hotel, we had to load our heavy suitcases to the lobby from the road not the main entrance! That’s because of security for the summit guest!
However, be warned, KL as a city has not the most useful public transportation and although this hotel is near a monorail stop, we only found it useful once.
They also arranged a transfer seamlessly to the airport and I had to change it a couple of times and they were more than reasonable about this.

When I was leaving to airport they instructed taxi to go to wrong terminal so I had to take airport shuffle bus to get to right terminal.
Traffic around the hotel can be quite congested at peak times so if you go somewhere by car factor some extra time in peak hour.
A special thank you to Syazrey for helping us get our taxis and the Grab app sorted during our stay at EQ Kuala Lumpur.

If i had to complain it was the fact the hotel dont book taxi for you, thats the only bad thing i can say.
And, with my walking disability, it was infuriating (and downright dangerous) for me to navigate the family masses to get a machine coffee.
I would advise getting the grab app which is like uber. Taxis are very cheap, but I never paid less than 5.00 English.

If you do not like walking or have children with you, this distance will be very tiring for you despite being short.
And because of that there are zero places to sit in the lobby while waiting for a taxi or Grab/Uber.
Had to drag our own suitcases into hotel from main road as entrance was cut off for conference vip only.

We wanted a transfer to our next destination, but the quoted price was five times higher than the competitors’ prices.
They helped my family call a car to the airport and even helped us load the luggage into the car!
I think it is a good place if you plan to get around by Grab and spend time indoors.

Naim at the door was great in helping me sort a Grab and get me to China Town
Possibility to get smaller banknotes (MYR) at the reception, this was helpful to pay taxi and so on.
Prior to our arrival, Sarvin, the Concierge, had arranged for us transport to and from the airport.

The hotel is also well connected, with both the metro and monorail in the immediate vicinity.
We were also helped when we were looking for early morning transportation to airport.
WE HAD TRAVELLED VERY LIGHT AFTER BEING I THAILAND FOR 3 WEEKS PRIOR.

Monorail is out front, we didn’t use as we caught Grab everywhere.
The main roads can be quite congested during busy periods on weekends.
We were walking from the monorail along the walkway

One of the foreign security guards told me that i could use my TnG card to scan into the parking lot even when i told him i was the hotel guest there. Could have used a parking ticket then to waive it from the counter.
But apart fr saying that it's their policy to allocate one car per room for free parking, he was not able to tell me if and where it was intimated to the guests.
We had to show our bank statement, so it was embarrassing, but the receptionist who I complained to the following day was so embarrassed and arranged a fruit delivery .

At the entrance to the hotel, a heavyset man pointed at me, telling me to leave the parking area and move onto the roadway. I felt absolutely awful.
Could have been handled better by preparing available surface lot instead of adminstrative hassle dealing with security guard, concierge, duty manager.
Vehicle height of 2.07m could not pass through 2.1m height limiter at basement despite prior reassurances.

Parking lot is included and parking lot area very bright, with guard and clean.
Already asked, called, emailed concierge to verify prior to arrival.
Parking is free if you’re a guest.

And valet were very friendly
Coordination for parking was horrendous.
Facilities, parking stopgap measures.

And parking ticket.
Parking at basement
