Guests commonly praise the hotel’s cleanliness, comfortable rooms, friendly staff, convenient Bangsar location, and value for business trips, with many willing to return or recommend it. Recurring concerns include inconsistent service, limited reception coverage, slow responses, poor breakfast and executive-lounge food, loud elevator sounds, and confusion from the Pullman-to-Wyndham rebranding.

The bells announcing the elevator are quite loud (thankfully I did not have a room nearby) and there is music that plays, the same music all day, as the lift moves but not when it stops.
Was pullman hotel when checked says WYNDHAM GRAND HOTEL my ticket had said pullman hotel updating on this hotel is not done a proper way was shocked when got dropped of after 13hr flight
The property presents itself as a sophisticated business hotel in cosmopolitan Bangsar, and while certain aspects genuinely impressed, several critical shortcomings made me question whether this hotel truly deserves its star rating.

Until the dining experience is elevated to match the quality of its rooms, I would say it feels less like a Wyndham Grand and more like a Days Inn with comfortable pillows.
Other small issues like people not at their post or taking a long time to answer the phone or not filling the liquids in the bathroom also hold it back.
So all in all we were happy but do recommend the management to switch to a 24/7 reception - this is at the end a 5 stars hotel.

The stay was outstanding and notably value for money in term of strategy location, prevent from traffic jam in the city, not far away from kl centre.
While the Wyndham Grand Bangsar excels in providing a physically comfortable and superb room, it fails spectacularly in its food and beverage department, at least at breakfast.
Staying in a few places around KL I felt as if the other hotel/apartments found on booking websites far out weighed the 5 star Wyndham Hotel.

You’re told what you’ll have: 2 x ¼ sliced mayonnaise & lettuce sandwiches, some microwaved fried rice & warm salad in small glasses.
Yes the hotel gave a grand entrance on arrival and made you feel like King Charles for a brief moment but that’s it.
We sincerely hope that necessary steps will be taken to rectify these issues and prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.

My stay at Wyndham Grand Bangsar left me with decidedly mixed feelings about what "Grand" really means in a five-star context.
Overall, our stay was pleasant thanks to the front office and manager Ms Lyn and the front office staff Mr Eilham.
We will surely recommend Wyndham Grand Bangsar to my friends, family and colleagues based on the exceptional service I experienced.

Regrettably, our experience has been tarnished, and we are compelled to warn others against expecting quality service at your hotel.
The exceptional room might warrant a premium, but the abysmal food quality is more befitting of a budget brand.
Value to money and it is very close to my client place hence convenient for me to stay here.

All-in-all this hotel could be a good, quality business hotel with a bit discipline and a few tweeks.
We expected a pleasant and secure stay but were met with a complete lack of professionalism and accountability.
Having been a frequent guest for over 10 years I can highly recommend staying at this hotel

The "Grand" in its name implies a certain standard of all-around excellence, which it does not meet.
This is a hotel with potential but a few hangups and a need for better general management.
This experience has left us deeply dissatisfied and concerned about the hotel's security protocols and guest management.

Overall, ok for solo business travel just for a place to sleep.
Please take note Bangsar South Pulman has been rebranded to Wyndham.
This was my 1st time in a 5 star hotel.

Overall, i am satisfied with my stay at Pullman Bangsar.
It's one of the best hotel I stayed in KL.
I won’t book this hotel or this chain again.

Rooms: What guests say
View Wyndham Grand Bangsar Kuala Lumpur39 relevant reviews
Rooms are repeatedly described as spacious, clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with notably good beds, bathtubs, views, and toiletries. However, recurring complaints concern weak or lukewarm shower pressure, aging or faulty fixtures and electronics, dust and inadequate housekeeping, limited TV options, and occasional misleading room descriptions or serious check-in errors.

The bed was a centerpiece of comfort, but the real star was the square pillow – its firm support was genuinely remarkable and contributed to one of the best nights of sleep I've had in a hotel.
The rooms are as expected however only ½ the TV channels are able to viewed, some don’t have any sound & where sound is available the volume is limited to 30% of the available sound.
The room bathroom design should not have any roller blind to cover the glass as need to cover up full wall not suitable for family staycation plus the bathroom glass door got no locking set.

The bathtub drain stopper was spoil and again i need to called up the reception twice and what they informed me was need one and half hour to repair.
The room ambience light not very bright even bedsite lamp not functioning, sofa area standing lamp also out of bulp....a bit dusty & oily on glass working table.
She then said it’s grand deluxe and I booked deluxe and in order to get the amenities that I want I will have to top up extra RM70.

The rooms were nice and came with a bath and a window with a little view but what you pay for really doesn’t justify the cost.
To our utter dismay, we discovered an ironing board beside the bed, clothes and towels strewn across the bed, and even cosmetics left in the toilet.
It was too weak for a decent shower, unacceptable for a 5 * hotel (see photos - tap turned on to the max water flow).

Upon arriving at the room (Room 2021, to the best of our recollection), we were shocked to find the room already occupied by another guest.
The pillows and the bedsheet of the room are smelly, it seem like housekeeping didnt change from previous customer or the linen didnt wash properly.
Paid for room upgrade, however the room condition was not excellence, seems like no one check the room before the room key is issued.

We tried our luck requesting it ,and thankfully, the manager, Ms Lyn, was extremely helpful in arranging a nice connecting room for us.
Quit embarrassing for TV channel with oldskool lcd tv without any netflix at least proper local channel with clear view....how sad it is....
Bed is really comfort moreover toilet provide bath tube that i not really use it but this time i had try it.

The room itself was exceptional—spacious, clean, and equipped with one of the most comfortable beds I've encountered in any hotel.
Nevertheless, the hotel is clean, you get a cosy feeling in the room and the cleaners did a great job.
Our coffee/water area was so messy with a huge pile of so many drink sachets that we did not need.

For the room basic rate its unacceptable to have only drinking water (RO) rather than real mineral water eg.spritzer.
We stayed in Room 2708, Which was a GRAND SUITE, so this review is based on that;
For those prioritizing sleep quality and in-room comfort, the Wyndham Grand Bangsar delivers exceptionally well.

My unopened bottle of drinks was missing after housekeeping, but I have no proof whatsoever.
The bed is good though they have these oversized pillows that are useless.
The highlight of the stay was, without a doubt, the hotel room.

(Pullman Bangsar got rooms with a GREAT VIEW TO THE STREET).
Housekeeping NEEDS IMPROVEMENT because the standard was unfortunately really poor.
Room was clean however housekeeping wasn't up to standard.

The room is clean and comes with bathtub.
The room is definitely worth the price.
Spacious and clean, with good amenities.

Staff: What guests say
View Wyndham Grand Bangsar Kuala Lumpur34 relevant reviews
Staff are repeatedly described as friendly, helpful, welcoming, and attentive, with praise for reception, concierge, luggage assistance, upgrades, and named employees including Serena, Melinda, Shereen, Imran, Jazmine, and Zia. However, service is inconsistent: guests report unfriendly restaurant or café staff, communication difficulties, billing issues, understaffing, and dismissive handling of serious concerns.

Hopefully Pullman could just give a call to guest staying in the hotel to remind guest of checking out in the future instead of asking a housekeeping personnel to ring the doorbell at 10am.
When she said back she then said it’s grand deluxe and I booked deluxe and in order to get the amenities that I want I will have to top up extra RM70.
A housekeeping personnel was ringing my doorbell at 10am telling me to go home as he received an order from the hotel officer which serve to remind me to check out.

The lobby cafe is very bad, and the Host named Vina was the rudest staff I encountered in a hotel I don’t know how she ended working there.
As the housekeeping personnel was unable to converse in good english, I felt a little offended when he said the sentence of asking me to go home.
After calling up the receptionist, I was first told that for the window and bathtub as per the picture I am suppose to make a request.

I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional service my family received during their recent stay at your esteemed property.
It is disheartening to realize that the gravity of our situation was not appropriately acknowledged, and we were left feeling unimportant and neglected.
Friendly staff that cared for all our needs with a smile and made us feel at home and well taken care of.

To our dismay, the staff's response was far from reassuring, and we were merely offered breakfast as compensation for this distressing ordeal.
She said she had spoken to staff Aina and she said I will have to pay RM 70 for grand deluxe.
This hotel feels like they are working on a very stringent budget due to lack of staffs looking after the guests.

I need to called up the reception twice and what they informed me was need one and half hour to repair.
However the service provided does exceed slightly to other hotels in regard to dining, cleanliness and attending to personal needs.
Staff was not able to assist with query on my Accor ALL membership although this is a member hotel.

Rushing to the reception to seek an explanation, we approached the same staff member who had initially served us.
They received great care and attention during their stay and it made them feel welcomed and cared for.
We find it difficult to accept such a lackadaisical explanation, especially when our privacy and security were compromised.

The front office staff , Mr Eilham who checked us in were also very friendly and helpful.
Once again thank you for your effort in creating a memorable stay for my wife and daughter.
And once there it was 5 stars service - helped to get the luggage to the room.

The manager, Ms Lyn, was extremely helpful in arranging a nice connecting room for us.
Additionally, please address the dismissive attitude of your staff towards guests' genuine concerns.
Melinda on reception and young reception girls were very welcoming and friendly.

A staff quickly approached us and assisted us with our bags.
Reception counters and lobby staff were very courteous and polite.
Extremely friendly n helpful reception n conceige staff.

When she got back to me.
Lack of that welcoming vibe.
Consistently delivering great service

Location: What guests say
View Wyndham Grand Bangsar Kuala Lumpur20 relevant reviews
The hotel suits business travelers near Menara Telekom, Universiti Malaya, Bangsar, or Mid Valley, with Kerinchi LRT roughly 5–10 minutes away and malls a short drive. However, the area is not pedestrian-friendly, has few restaurants, shops, or convenience stores, and most sightseeing usually requires Grab, taxis, or multiple train changes.

The hotel is adjacent to Menara Telekom, which is great if that's where your business is, but otherwise, you'll need to rely on Grab or taxis for most outings.
The immediate surroundings are fairly barren in terms of dining options, and crossing the busy roads without proper pedestrian infrastructure can be genuinely hazardous.
There is a metro station not to far away, but you have to change line several times to get to Kuala Lumpurs different locations.

There is a mall nearby but it is not easy to access and the weather makes it too hot to walk to the mall.
Location of the hotel is away from any shops or convenience stores and restaurants which made it very inconvenience for us guests.
You're positioned between Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya, which sounds convenient but in practice means you're not truly close to anything.

Mid Valley Megamall is a 5-minute drive, which is decent for shopping, but forget about strolling to nearby restaurants or cafes.
Eventhough it is about an hours drive from the Airport, once you get to the hotel everything else is walking distance.
The hotel is close to Universiti Malaya, but not much else except for a shopping mall and two restaurants.

It is a lot of traffic and you have to pay attention if you try to cross the streets.
Located in an area with tight and untidy urban developments, not easy to navigate on foot, surroundings not pedestrian-friendly.
If you are a vegan like us there is hardly any option of food will be available to us.

Must try hotel if you want to stay a little bit far from the center of Kuala Lumpur.
The location is far from the airport and intimidating to try and get anywhere from by foot.
It was a small taxi ride to the mall which was very convenient for grabbing food.

Kerinchi LRT station is about a 10-minute walk away—manageable but not exactly at your doorstep.
Trains are the easiest access and cost wise cheaper to get through to any place.
If you are in this area of KL for business though, it is suitable.

Great hotel to stay at as it is ideally located near Mid valley mall.
Opposite KL Gateway Mall (can walk, just across an intersection)
Near GSC Mid Valley Megamall (5 mins with taxi)

It is situated little bit far from tourist places
Great hotel that is ideally located in the city
The location sits in an awkward middle ground.

Close by to the upmarket area of Bangsar.
Nice ambiance nice location accessible to all..
Location is alright, linked to a LRT.

However, not so many convenience stores nearby.
The location is not the best.
Good location

Breakfast: What guests say
View Wyndham Grand Bangsar Kuala Lumpur19 relevant reviews
Breakfast feedback is mixed: some guests praise the broad buffet selection, fruits, European, Chinese and Japanese items, and egg station, while recurring complaints cite limited variety, bland or poorly prepared food, undercooked items, weak Malaysian and Indian vegetarian choices, slow replenishment, and noisy dining conditions. The RM55 breakfast was considered poor value by several guests.

Very limited variety of food at breakfast buffet and ventilation in the buffet restaurant was only so-so, you prolly smell like food after eating as there’s cooking station inside the restaurant
Upon learning that the head chef has been with the hotel for two years, it's difficult to understand how such fundamental errors in a Malaysian hotel's breakfast offering could persist.
The lontong was tasteless; the rice cakes (nasi impit) were watery and lacked any texture, as if they had been merely soaked in plain water.

The only palatable item was the plain porridge, but its quality came from standard canned condiments rather than any culinary skill in the kitchen.
Perhaps most shockingly, the roti canai, despite being made at a live station, had the hard, chewy consistency of a pre-made frozen product.
The accompanying vegetables and gravy were devoid of seasoning, missing the fundamental saltiness and flavour that makes the dish what it is.

The chee cheong fun was clearly a frozen product that hadn't even been steamed properly, resulting in a clumpy, unpleasant texture.
No need to to put fish in everthing as it restricts the choice for vegetarians, so we could not eat them.
The breakfast, lunch and dinners provided were quite bad, with undercooked prata and pasta that was still hard and uncooked.

I found a small variety that was not satisfactory however Melinda helped resolve this issue and did a great job.
We had our breakfast around 9:00 a.m., but almost all the food trays were empty and not refilled promptly.
Dosai string hoppers etc not up to standard no sambol or chutney and sambar not up to standard.

Not much choices for indian vegetarians as they have put fish, in the curries and seeni sambols.
The breakfast venue is filled with a group of tourists who are shouting and rude.
There are More dishes for you to choice and the breastfast is not longer boring.

I hope the breakfast experience can be improved in terms of service and food replenishment.
For buffet breakfast quit variety of choice but lack of taste & food presentation plating....
It is insulting to have this level of breakfast in a supposed 5-star hotel.

Unfortunately, the pleasantness of the night was completely erased by the morning's breakfast buffet.
It is what you could get for RM 15 in a Day's inn.
Didnt have a chance to try out the restaurant to comment on food.

As someone looking forward to classic Malaysian breakfast staples, the disappointment was profound.
Great selection of buffet items - at breakfast with an outstanding lunch selection.
The breastfast was absolutely great and had improved alot from previous.

Oatmeal on breakfast buffet needs to at least warm
The breakfast, cost RM55, is just horrible.
An incredible number of choices for breakfast

One issue regarding the breakfast buffet.
But other food items good.
Limited options for breakfast

Check-in / Check-out: What guests say
View Wyndham Grand Bangsar Kuala Lumpur8 relevant reviews
Check-in and checkout were often described as smooth and efficient, with no deposit required. However, late-arrival communication was unreliable, including unanswered calls, while a mistaken late-checkout fee remained unpaid a month later. A serious privacy incident involved staff opening an occupied room after mismanaging the two-night reservation.

Also, even though I clearly confirmed to the front desk staff upon check-in that I was staying "two nights," at the end of the first night stay, the staff opened the room door and rudely asked me "When will you check out?”.
The overall experience was marred by very slow service from all the staff members, noise issues that made peaceful rest challenging, and a guest demographic that transformed common areas into chaotic spaces during peak hours.
The check-in date was my birthday and I noted in my reservation comments that it was a "birthday stay", but never once during check-in or during my stay did the staff mention my birthday.

Then the male staff left without saying any single apologies for opening the door without my permission or for not properly managing my reservation info.
Check in was a bit stressful, because itnwas written they accept check in only until 22:30 and we were expecting to arrive at 0:00h.
After some discussion the hotel admitted that they made a mistake with the fee but a month later I still got no refund.

I informed the staff that I had told at the reception when checking-in that I would be staying two nights.
But when finally they did pick up the phone, they confirmed they will wait for us.
Such a breach of privacy and security is gravely distressing and should never be taken lightly.

Was charged a late checkout fee even though I checked out at 7:00am.
It was also problematic that they were not answering the phone when calling...
Check out was also a smooth process.

Check in was efficient.
NO DEPOSIT when check-in.
Check-in was smooth.

Very good Gym with a full range of weights, workout stations, and Cardio machines perfect for a full on workout!
The lounge is a bit sad, with a large buffet area but no food served.
TEh swimming pool is pretty big and nice too.

Reception area is nice and large.
Cleaning was not very good.
Large hotel, providing conference facilities.

Great location and facilities
Excellent facilities.

The pool is not huge but big enough for about 6-7 adults at a time.
Pool area is bold & bored plus too sticky & dirty pool floor!
Overall, the swimming pool is quite small comparative to other Hotel in KL.

Pool area was beautiful and spotless.
Shame I only used it once.
Jacuzzi "pool" cold water

Quality of the food, speed of the service and sometimes lack of the basics service skills was not even close to what you would expect from Wyndham.
By the time I finished my main course at 1.30pm, there was no more desserts such as the nonya cakes n etc.
As a just one example, bolognese sauce was made mainly of cartilage, instead of meat.

Additionally, I was disappointed that the food was not regularly refilled, affecting the overall experience.
Stop replenishing desserts at 1pm even though buffet is supposed to end only at 2.30pm.
Unfortunately there is not any other place for dinner in walking distance.

I found the buffet too pricey for the limited food selection available.
But all restaurants in overall were really really bad. 1/10.
Could not find any “signature dish” during the dinner.

Restaurant is clean and very friendly and helpful staff.
Only disappointment was the lunch buffet.
Bar restaurant atmosphere very good.

Food was good too.
Avoid dining there

Although it was stated in their website that they offer a free shuttle service 2x daily to Mid Valley Megamall, but upon check in when we inquired, we were told that service is no longer provided, however they have failed to update us upon booking.
Taxi must be taken for a 10-15mins drive to a shopping centre like Mid Valley or NU Sentral.
However, driver was picking up call while driving which may be inappropriate due to safety reason.

Hotel provided free shuttle service to mid valley mall which is great!
Not many amenities that are walking distance from the hotel.
GPS also doesn’t show exactly where to enter to hotel.

No signboard to guide us to the premise.
