We are going back in December and we probably will not go anywhere else in dubai and that is a huge statement but if you go you will know why,it's not how big or posh or fabulous a hotel is it's all down to the staff and this hotel and ajoining hotel intercontinental have got the kindest, helpful most professional staff we have ever had.

I always choose to stay at Crowne Plaza Festival City, as it is a truly comfortable hotel and one I consistently return to. My children love it, and it always feels welcoming and easy for our family.

This was our first visit to Dubia and overall the experience was nothing short of fantastic... Our hotel, the Crown Plaza in Festival City exceeded our expectations in everyway.

Well done each and everyone of you you are a credit to your managers and once again thank you so much for the best holiday and fantastic memories

As such cost was a big factor and baring in mind how much we paid , maybe we were not expecting “top notch “ at this hotel.

Never in all the hotels I have stayed in and I have stayed nearly all over the world have we ever had staff and chef,s that have been so welcoming and kind.Firstly our now very good friend Glaida she went above and beyond for us and made our holiday 1 of best we have ever had (I am nearly crying thinking how much we miss her).She looked after us with her staff of course every day and did her job perfectly thank you all so much.(see you in December we can't wait).

We met Thushara just 1 of the many pool boys and life gaurds he immediately showed us to our loungers with lovely towels and cold water.We are sorry but didn't get everyone's name who assisted us around the pool area but every single 1 of them were very kind and we loved to speak to them and find out where they were from and about all the different cultures so well done to all who worked around the pool areas you do your jobs excellent thank you all so much.

Always the service is first class. I would like to mention in particular Joana, Emelyn & Bhawna who greet me every morning at the breakfast desk with a smile & take great care to ensure I am looked after. Also Arun on the front desk how is always very helpful & courteous. Finally to all of the waiters in the Belgian bar for their exceptional service & making me feel very welcome.

But the waiters (male and female) make it Special. Also i would Like to say that the housekeeping is doing a Great Job too, Special thanks to Mister Rihan, he has been very Patient with us. The Concierge, the Ines that Carry our suitcases, everyone is Doing a Really Really good Job, please let your staff know that they are Great.

Really the staff throughout the Crowne Plaza was superb in every regard….from the efficient front desk staff that made check-in/check-out very smooth to housecleaning that always took great care of the room to the Zaytoun restaurant staff who’s friendly nature and service and delicious food always made the morning breakfasts and evening Iftar’s a highlight of the day.

Superb team at reception Miss LAMISS is outstanding,top notchnev!!! never saw someone so devoted to customer's,huge thanks !!! Also Josh was superb, excellent service-wow! and special thanks to Mc and Nelson amazing team work, reception team made my stay fantastic!! Appreciation for the breakfast team at the Zaytoun restaurant as well, in particular Emelyn, for taking care of us every single morning and the cleaning agent servicing the 8th floor for ensuring we had uninterrupted supply of water and greeting us with a big smile every single morning :-)

Outstanding service from well motivated and managed staff who make for a very cheerful and pleasant stay. Nothing seems too much trouble for example mentioned to Atta Haida of the house keeping team would welcome a pod coffee machine in room which duly arrived within 24 hours.

The location of the hotel is fantastic. Being situated in Festival City gave us a more local and relaxed feel compared to some of the busier tourist areas, while still offering easy access to everything we needed. The direct connection and short walk to Dubai Festival City Mall was incredibly convenient, making shopping, dining, and entertainment effortless.

Location puts much readily at hand with Festival Mall having a 3 minute internal walk direct connection. No need to waste time with taxis. The Promnade offers excellent range of eating out opportunities again in great settings. And, of course one has the nightly laser fountain display as colorful boats take people on nightly dining cruises.

The Crown Plaza is next to the Festival Mall which is a grest base for visiting Dubia with easy links to all that Dubia has to offer. The Mall has a vast array of shops and restuarants and even has a floor dedicated to childrens entertainment so a great base for families.

The hotel has direct access to the mall which always has a nice more local buzzy feel to it with plenty of cafes, restaurants and large food court if you weren’t eating in the hotels. Great choice of shops and large supermarkets and entertainment options on your door step.

This time I stayed in Crown Plaza Dubai festival city which is located in a quite and peaceful place with having such a great view on a creek side which make me more satisfied to be staying in a place like this

The pop up Marsa Boulivard in front of the hotel beside the waterfront added to the holiday weekend atmosphere, all the boats lit up at night , the light displays on buildings and the firework display at Al Seef too

There’s a nice walkway with a view & festival city mall was easy to walk around. It’s not as big as the other malls but it’s convenient to its hotel proximity. It has a view.

In its category, this is a fine hotel for families and excellent to take a few days en route to another destination as its location near the airport is handy.

The staff here were very pleasant and went out of their way to show us where to watch a firework display outside the hotel one night at Festival Bay.

View from my room was looking across the Dubai Creek towards the Mohammed bin Rashid Library and downtown Dubai so a view I never got tired of seeing.

The hotel’s location is excellent — directly connected to the Festival City Mall and offering easy access to great shopping, dining, and beautiful views over the creek.

The Modash Splash park which is there for the Summer is excellent for younger children, maybe from toddlers up to age 10 and is very reasonably priced.

And then a walk to Creek metro station. It would be better if the green metro line was connected all the way to this part of Dubai.

I travelled for business and I found it extremely easy to arrange meetings with my contacts, travel around and find time to relax and enjoy the city.

And I had no idea there was a mall connected to the property until I got there which served us many purposes and of course convenience.

The good thing about this hotel is that it is connected to the Festival Mall. You just walk in and enjoy shopping and eat lots food.

The Crowne Plaza location attached to the Festival City Mall was also very convenient and gave many great options for shopping, restaurants and coffee cafe’s.

This was my third time visit to dubai and every time when I come here it’s tremendously pass on if it’s adventurous or my staying.

The hotel is conveniently located next to the Dubai Festival City Mall with plenty of restaurants to eat from, including Al Beiruti which we loved.

The hotel is however a long ride to the Dubai Marina but it was convenient for use because not so far from the American Hospital.

I would not put anyone of staying here as its very convenient for Festival City mall if you want to eat out or go shopping.

Cannot recommend this hotel enough as a perfect setting, walking distance undercover to the shopping mall and all its amazing shops and restaurants

Finally, Dubia is a fabulous place, very clean, friendly, safe and breathtaking but the best thing about Dubia is the people.....

The location is good - close to DXB and close enough to the business district and the Burj.

This was our 3rd visit as we love the location and being beside the Festival city Mall.

Attached inside a walking distance is a big mall ( shops , cafes and restaurants ).

Ideal location attached to the DFC mall providing lots of shopping and dining options.

The location is great—right next to the mall and close to the airport.

The room was generally fine but the bathroom could do with some maintenance. The sink and bath tube drains were often clogged. There were not enough electricity socks, none next to the bed nor around the room for the iron table. I could not use the iron during my entire stay because of that. One sock next to the desk is certainly not enough for one person, let alone two.

The one serious negative was that when I asked about an accessible room (I am disabled and find it difficult and dangerous to climb into the bath to use the shower) I was made aware that they only had separate showers in the premier or suites room options which I cannot afford

Booked a standard room but the one we were given seemed bigger than before and had great views. Don’t know if we got a slightly better room. The room was not musty as was our last stay so I was very happy. Everything just worked for us and felt very comfortable.

The most annoying thing was the smoking smell in the corridor when turning left outside the 8th floor elevator. It was unclear to us whether it was the next door guest or the staff but it constantly had a strong smoking smell.

I recently had surgery and have difficulty walking, and his kindness made a real difference to my experience. He assisted me to my room with genuine care, patience, and respect, making sure I was comfortable every step of the way.

On the subject of our room I must express our thanks to the hotel reception team Indi and Icael and the hotel managers for the unbeliavable upgrade to one of the best suites in the hotel.

Disappointed with the waterfront view from the 7th floor due to building works which we were not advised which seemingly created a lot of dust and dirt covering the windows so our view was in secured.

One person reviewed that the furniture is dated but that seems petty as they most likely did not like the deep brown color. The rooms are of a good comfortable size and well designed.

Our room was exceptional, spacious with sumptuous bedding. Lovely toiletries and very handy amenities which we very much appreciated as, due to flight delays, we didn’t get to the room until 3am.

The cleanliness and friendliness of yr stay is excellent/ we especially are fascinated of the drinking water in bottles in the rooms from the forum NORDAQ / so eco friendly !!!/

2- water pressure at the toilet needs to be fixed as it’s low and toilet siphon needs to either fixed or changed ! Most of times very difficult to operate

Rooms are very nice and well equipped. Only downside is that they are a bit small. Very little room to move around once the extra bed is put in.

Room was very nice and clean. You can choose between the 3 types of people they have. The view is very beautiful of the city.

The housekeeping team ensured our room was spotless at all times and the welcoming gifts of fruit and chocolates were very kind.

So we stayed here for a total of 3 weeks off an on. the rooms are clean and modern, and surprisingly spacious.

My sister was recovering from a surgery at the DuBai American Hospital and I wanted to treat her to some relaxing time.

Mostly very quiet — but if you have a noisy neighbor they can be heard through the connecting door only

However, would recommend soundproofing of some kind around the connecting doors as screaming could be heard from an adjacent room.

Only thing I could suggest as an improvement is to have a bigger refrigerator and trash can in the restrooms.

The spacious corner office with large windows offered breathtaking views of the city, perfectly blending business and leisure.

Stayed for two nights as part of 9 night holiday in Dubai, in a creek view room.

It didn’t put my money back in my pocket, but it was a sweet spot to land.

My daughter’s mattress on the extra bed was too hard and they changed it immediately.

One point to criticize is only the poor water pressure of the shower ..//

The waterfront view was lovely, the bed was comfortable, and cleanliness was excellent.

We were told by Crowne that breakfast would be available for the first two mornings at the Intercontinental Hotel next door. What wasn’t made clear was that the room actually came with breakfast for three and not just for two. Something was destined to go wrong and it did! We paid for one additional breakfast on the first day of our five day stay at Crowne. We notified management of the issue the next morning.

We had an included breakfast and would wholeheartedly recommend this. Despite the hotel being exceptionally busy thanks to events and the Dubai Rugby 7’s teams staying, the choice and quality of breakfast was wonderful. Despite it probably being a pop up offer to the usual breakfast room, you really wouldn’t notice, extensive choice of Arabic, Indian, Asian and English hot choices as well as a wide choice of cold options.

This was a really feet experience specially thanks to the breakfast staff. They were not only friendly but the service was impeccable. I especially would like to acknowledge Winnifred, Wint, Eme, and Mahmoud for their service and making the experience more enjoyable during breakfast.

The only slight negative is that breakfast options are not as extensive as other hotels, I have stayed in, when in Dubai.

The staff in all the restuarants were excellent with the ladies and staff at the breakfast venue particulary attentive and kind.

The diversity of food and quality of the food is unlike anything I’ve ever seen before for a breakfast buffet.

The next day after a very good sleep we went for breakfast the choice was fantastic and very tasty.

Breakfast is good. Maybe not the best but plenty to choose from and a big hit with the children.

Your kind gesture in arranging a birthday cake at breakfast made our daughter feel really very special.

Excellent breakfast with outside seating overlooking the canal is a wonderful setting to start the day.

Breakfast at the Zaytoun restaurant was good and with a large variety to choose from.

We were on a halfboard deal at the Crown Plaza and managed to eat in all five restuarants on the site including the ones in the sister hotel the Intercontinental which is linked to the Crown Plaza. All the resturants were great with plenty of choices.

We also made friends with the chefs they were all very nice and so professional. Chef Ali also has become our friend and looked after us he was the best fun and we laughed everyday with him we also miss him so much.

The buffet dining experience was another highlight of our stay. The food was high-end, beautifully presented, and offered an excellent variety, with high-quality ingredients and flavours that exceeded expectations for a buffet. Each meal felt well thought out and consistently delicious.

And with half board there is also a very good dinner buffet in the evening. It’s possible to switch dinner for lunch. On Thursdays and Fridays there is even an Arabic buffet that you can choose instead of the international one.

The food (Indian)was the best we had had in any in restaurant at home top class.As was the Asian, fish,sushi,soups absolutely everything so a huge thank you to everyone in restaurant Anise including bar staff who made the most refreshing drinks.

Dinner, location etc. Special shout out to the dinner at Anees. Amazing food and variety. It was a great blend of global cuisines. Everyone could relish the dinner as it caters to each individuals taste bud.

And Dinner in the Anise buffet restaurant in the intercontinental hotel adjoining the hotel. Dinner had a wide choice and water and coffee is given if on half board which I like.

And the food was superb. We had a half board option and it represented fantastic value. I can strongly recommend the Anise world buffet which is in the hotel next door.

The food in the restaurants was also very good, with a great variety and quality. The buffet, in particular, was excellent — fresh, flavorful, and well presented.

And the Zaytoun restaurant staff who’s friendly nature and service and delicious food always made the morning breakfasts and evening Iftar’s a highlight of the day.

Did try Belgian Cafe too but were not impressed as it was far too smoky and drinks were a bit pricey considering it was Happy Hour.

Ivan, Evelyn , Raj, Paran and Wint all became daily friends of ours. Mahmoud was so kind and Anish also made us feel at home.

The food options were amazing, we can highly recommend the dine around option so you can try all of the restaurants in the hotel.

At night you can go downstairs & enjoy a meal or outdoor seating with a big flat screen tv. It’s nice & relaxing.

And the dinner buffet at Anise is simply Michelin star-worthy. After eight days, we still couldn’t get enough of the incredible flavors.

We however mostly had dinner at the Intercontinental's Anise restaurant which was varied enough in terms of meals except for the desserts.

And the price of Stella in the Belgian cafe... whoever has set those prices needs to take a long look at themselves

The best bar i have visited in festival city Belgian beer cafe has good beers and food especially the Belgian burger

We dined at Pierre TT at Intercontinental DFC for the first time on our last night -- fantastic (refer separate review).

The food in Anise changed every day and was delicious the sweets where exquisite and to die for.

The moment you walk in, they greet you with a smile, and they fulfill all your request.

The food was absolutely delicious, offering a wide variety of flavours that satisfied every craving.

Lots of options of places to eat at the hotel as well as the mall.

And all the people that work at the restaurant are so accommodating, cheerful, and professional!!

However, buffet dinner at the Anise restaurant is out of this world.

So many restaurants in the hotel and the mall.

From the restaurant

The bad side is that it has a sewer smell that goes in and off. Staff have managed to clean, but then comes back unexpectedly. An engineering mess.

Moreover, the hotel's preparedness for such events was evident, which included well-maintained facilities that could withstand the harsh conditions without compromising comfort.

Had never visited at this time of year before and loved all the hotel Christmas trees , flower displays and decorations.

Also, your travel power adapter may NOT be compatible to their outlets and the outlets are in obscure areas if compatible.

We are greatful for the service in helping our luggage safe and for the exact weight allowed in the flight.

Their proactive measures and efficient handling of the situation minimized disruptions and maintained a calm atmosphere throughout the hotel.

Only negative was we were promised a plug to charge our phones which never arrived.

The hotel's amenities and services were top-notch, catering to both business and leisure needs.

The property has all the services available for both leisure or business stays.

The hotel has very efficient lifts symbolic of all that goes on.

Pool is good, unfortunately the Intercontinental pool is closed at present or it would have been even better. Plenty water available and lots of loungers . Life guards do a fantastic job at this pool, especially Bijilab who is very friendly and quickly finds out kids swimming capabilities. Lots of non swimmers in the pool without parents and Lifeguards are always alert and looking out for them.

Pool of the Interconti. At the pool, Bijaya, Thushara, Timothy, Ruchan as well as Marc (Poolbar) went above and beyond to make our and our children’s time top.

The two hotels share a large pool deck area with several pool options. Love this and the views over the creek.

There were different sizes of swimming pools spread out which overlooks the water & city landscape.

My 4 year old granddaughter loved the little pool and spent hours in there.

Although it was cold outside but they kept the pool warm throughout.

Ypu can trust them when you swim closed to the club .

To reach the centre of Dubia I would recommend the lovely trip across the Creek by the local taxi boats. A five minute trip on these small boats takes you across to the Creek Metro Green Line station which links up with Red line stations allowing you to reach all the main areas of the attractions that Dubia hads to offer.

I was upset up on arrival because of the private taxi company at the airport told me that Crowne Plaza didn’t have a shuttle service & price gauged us for a grip for a 5 minute ride. Please call them & verify first before giving into the pressure.

This visit we used the boats in front of the hotel to visit the Creek harbour area and Al Jaddaf. The hotel does have a shuttle to one terminal at the airport at certain times too which would link you to the metro to explore further afield.

Great proximity to the airport (you don’t hear the aircraft) which is an added bonus because my flight to leave Dubai is always early morning and it’s just a few mins to travel.

As we arrived very late we were grateful that the hotel is only a short hop from the airport, making it a perfect choice for a short layover.

And note too that the “free 10k surrounding area shuttle” no longer operates though taxis arrive soon after a request, which the hotel staff facilitates.

One bit of advice on the Metro...pay the extra for the Gold coaches, less crowded and nice leather seats...

10 minutes from the airport, arranging the transfer through the hotel is highly recommended, £40 each way.

But the hotel's shuttle goes every day to Kite Beach if you want to go there.

Just take a taxi & you’re on your way to explore the highlights of Dubai💫

The taxi ride is short from the airport though a shuttle is available from T1.

Festival City itself is served by a small boat to and from Creek harbour

We arrived late evening off the emirates flight from manchester uk.

We chose this hotel because it was close to the airport.

Good thing this hotel is very near by airpot

Also, hotel is within 10 minutes drive to airport.

Be aware the shuttle works only for T1.

At the departure the support with extra time in the room until flight time reached was the extra mile offered by the hotel management through Mr. Anmol.

Yet, our Check Out was delayed and flight almost missed on account of management’s inefficiency to refund the 145 AED in a timely manner.

Giving us a check in a few hours earlier and a couple of hours later at check out which made our visit better.

As an IHG membre i couldnot delay check out beyond 2 pm, despit it was low season.

Special mention to Kael (Front Desk) who checked us in, an excellent employee.

Arrived early which didn’t seem to matter as we were checked in immediately.
