I would recommend it but the being locked out of my room after a being in extremely hot weather and not getting to relax was off putting.

By far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Budget chains would put this so called 5 star hotel to shame.

For a renowned Hotel brand, I was shocked and appauled at the level of service at this particular venue.

Nevertheless the property, room, facilities, food is top notch and kudo’s to the front office team as well.

Its a 5 stars hotel but because whay happen i gave him rate 5 out of 10

The hotel is nice and clean but too many issues for me to ever stay here again.

I would most definitely recommend this hotel and will stay at this place again, and hopefully soon!

It was a disappointing stay and for the money we paid it was fundamentally wrong .

I have stayed at this hotel number of times but never I had this problem

But I have not been refunded yet....may need to contest with card company.

This is a nice property but I had several issues during my stay.

The last thing we wanted was to spend anymore time in the hotel!

We’ve contacted the hotel directly to request a refund for the first night

They even surprised me with a birthday cake which was a wonderful treat.

Never again, you do not deserve to be called a 5* hotel.

It was first stay at the hotel and enjoyed my stay.

Hidden charges for everything, many extras and deposits to be paid.

Hotel is nice, but very disappointed by the level of service.

Will never choose Fairmont,,,, not worth even half what paid

The hotel is currently not a 5 star.

And this was not disclosed in the website.

But otherwise all things were good.

Total waste of money and time

I found the hotel great.

I would highly recommend this.

The Fairmont Hotel was awesome.

Despite me tioning it the first time, it was not fixed until i was locked out and had to wait outside for security to come and fix it and it took more than half an hour and i had to go down to reception multiple time just for them to send someone.

Really bad service, arrived at midnight but room was not ready, suitcase took 1h to the room, really worst service ever in the breakfast area, after complaining about several issues nobody apologized or came back to me!

I went down to reception and all staff acted as if no bags existed, and couldn’t recall one hour previously us handing over our baggage slip.

Very bad room service, for a simple request of towels or hair dryer I had to call 3 times and talk to manager before getting anything

Had to rind reception to get them to stop, reception didn't seem that interested in my problem but sent up a security guard eventually.

We were then asked to rummage through the racks at the door and in the bag for our cases - they weren’t there.

Poor communication from the start, over booked so had to be moved when I arrived, they could have informed me before I arrived.

Having then called the reception a further 3 times, I had to locate housekeeping myself to ask for this to take place.

All the staff were great especially Ankit &Zafar. Ankit was able to accommodate my request and able to address it.

The manager did try and explain what had happened but the poor communication continued right up to me checking out.

Baggage did not get sent to my room for over 2 hours, despite numerous calls to the reception desk.

Staff was not organized, did not reply on our requests and acted in a very bad manner to us.

The staff are extremely polite and helpful to which they really do their best to cater for your needs.

Thanks to the front desk staff, valet parking staff and breakfast restaurant staff.. there were all friendly and helpful.

The staff is very friendly although a receptionist lied to me about how noisy my room would be

Thanks for the concirage manager who turned my below average experience into something of a miracle.

Initially i was dismissed and told "its working" until i found someone who actually helped me.

I had to call twice and waited which threw me off schedule and delayed me significantly.

45 minutes later, no bags so I called reception who said they were on their way.

At 6.30pm our bags turned up after the Manager had located them in “long storage”.

We were given our room key, and told our bags would be carried up.

I appreciated that so much. Wonderful service and staff were so friendly and generous.

Staff are really polite and no job is too big.

Staff generallly friendly and helpful, especially front door and concierge.

But LOVE THE PEOPLE, management,the whole staff is top notch!

The front desk attendant are very helpful and friendship.

Accept the reception staff was more than unbehavied

Slightly understaffed at reception

First night we didn’t have any hot water so I had to take a cold shower, no one followed up until I called the second time the next day.

2 hours later, still no bags, my fiancée is at this point crying in reception thinking our bags are lost which had our newly bought wedding rings in them!

Bathroom had a foul odor of sewage ask to change room or fix issue they claimed it was fixed but the smell never went away

In addition, housekeeping did not complete their service, again despite, leaving the service room sign on for over 4 hours and no action taken.

On the second day the hot water didn’t work again and it took a very long time for any one to come fix if.

For starters how do you leave guests without any towels in the room? The bed sheets were never changed during our stay (6 nights).

Having given prior notice, Fairmont did an amazing job by preparing my room early so that we could rest properly after a long flight.

Absolutely amazing stay. Breathtaking view from room, very comfortable size, bedding and linen.. only one small issue , bath tub is too high

After cleaning the room they did not replace the clean mugs and I would have to wait a long time when requesting items.

And 2 days into my trip I got covid and had to isolate for 10days although I didn’t leave hotel premises.

Usually stay up on the gold floors and utilize the room but this trip due to covid was not open.

The coffee maker malfunctioned and the coffee pods were basically exploding each time I tried to use it.

Let’s also talk about how the key card for my room stopped working and they asked me why?

Beautiful view from the room and the blackout curtains allowed us to have a peaceful sleep at night.

Rooms recently refurbished so for a property from the early 2000s, it feels fresh and modern inside!

Scales and hair dryer not working, no space for toletries in the bathroom, water pressure low,

Initially cups were uncleaned and a bottle of water was opened when we entered the room.

Not sure, but I received a complimentary service of a bowl of fruits as room service.

I booked a suite. The view was very disappointing of the internal roof tops.

I got a free upgrade to the suite because we were celebrating a birthday

It was my birthday and my fiancée and I arrived at 1pm.

Rooms are not appropriately described for everyone to understand the offerings.

Washing sink water overflow, bed cabinets are stinky, bugs in bathroom

The one bedroom suite was very spacious, very nice, Superclean.

You can evenn arrange civid 19 testing in your room.

Very spacious considering this was a one bed room.

Room was well appointed, clean with great views.

The rooms took ages to be cleaned

And the hotel rooms are amazing

The rooms are nice

If you weren’t woken up by the sound of the construction work, you could sleep to the blaring music coming from the hotel’s restaurant/ club.

Drilling during conference calls and hammering and making lots of noise at 23:15 at night when I was trying to sleep.

But best to book those well in advance of your stay as they dont have special spaces for hotel guests.

This was not the time to do it - World Cup was on so lots of guests busy hotel

There is a small marjet around the cirner and plenty of restaurants and fast foid places in walking distance.

Very loud music noise from somewhere (they said it’s from the disco club in attached hotel - Conrad)

There are much nicer hotels in the area I’ve stayed in before for the same money.

Some hotel guests make lots of noise but this can be outside of hotel control.

Not to mention the bars within the hotel being the point of questionable transactions

But the location was awesome close to most of what we needed.

Great for families and for folks who like to explore Downtown Dubai.

Will not be utilising this brand at this location again.

Very close to the metro line and few stores around.

And the museum of the future also in walking distance.

Next to metro station and World trade center.

Fantastic location for World Trade Centre, the Metro

Busy property on Shk Zayed Road. Great location.

Great location with access to public transport.

Fantastic location but so slow elevator system.

This was an annual break to Dubai

The location was central close to everything

And the hotel is centrally located.

Hotel location was fantastic.

I started measuring my wait times after the first day and spent almost 35 mins waiting for elevators on day 2. They need more to deal with the flow of people!

No hand sinitizer are available inside and you need to share cutlery with others guests to serve yourself on buffet.

No compensation for the fact we had no clothing to change to use any of the facilities!

I had hotel maintenance spend the last day of my visit doing work.

Had to spend 200AED to be in a bar to watch the football

The barber shop is friendly, sports bar is not too noisy

Internet is not very fast my North American standards.

- lifts were not working all the time

Many other people complaining at reception every day

Not much available hands sanitizer inside the hotel.

But OMG the elevator system is slow!

Clothes given for iron came very late.

The hotel is going through construction

And the facilities are excellent.

Lots of clubs/bars etc onsite

The property was very ckean

I feel the breakfast offering has slipped since the last time I was there. There did not appear to be as good a selection of fresh fruit and break food options

The breakfast are ok but they are not taking too much actions to avoid and protect against Covid.

I booked with breakfast included, but the hotel told me it was not included.

Only challenge was the breakfast, not equipped for hotel when its busy for events.

They also didn’t know what decaf coffee was in the breakfast area.

Breakfast buffet is average in very small seating area.

I cancelled the last 4 days of breakfast

But the breakfast was the same everyday.

Awesome breakfast with variety of different food.

I call to ask about restaurant they said their were 12 restaurants and all were booked I could not make a reservation I was told only the lobby could be walk in and dine, but later found out that was not true, found an Italian restaurant there with not one guest and I didn’t need reservations not sure what that was about Also there’s not 12 restaurants, was a bit disappointed.

GM should involve in how f&b is handling customer asks whether they maintain accor and fairmont standard or not.

The restaurants are not so good as all of them permits smoke inside, really disgusting.

To compensate we were asked if we wanted a free meal..

And decent dining options in hotel and nearby.

Lots of options, bars, restaurants under one roof

And the food is good

Bar not nice,

Another member of staff tried to check us in again and charge us for local taxes - we provided the receipt, handed over our baggage card and explained we just needed our room key.

Surprisingly they changed my room to my requested choice of smoking room even when they didnt have any at checkin, so quickly, before I laid my hat in the smoking room.

They also tried to get me to pay the tourist tax twice! They clearly can’t even update their system to note who has paid and who has not.

Crowded people and the reception workers was all the day is 2 only so it was a nightmare to check in

Our room wasn’t quite ready so we agreed to leave our bags and come back for the keys later.

My wife and 2 year old arrived in the early hours of the morning well before check-in.

Arrived back at the hotel at 4pm and asked for our room key.

Passports were scanned and local taxes paid at this point

Outrageous. We were not abke to check in until 7pm.

Checked in on Friday 11th March.

The guys in the front who gets you taxi were awesome very friendly and helpful!

Suggestions to the hotel to have a screen that displays flight information at DXB!

Getting a taxi was no problem at all either

And next to the Metro for easy transport.

With the monorail less than 3 minutes away

Very limited public Taxi service …
