Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort Reviews: Everything Guests Say

There are plenty of luxury hotels in Dubai with wonderful sea views and great service that nobody needs to waste quality time with these issues.

We understand the complications with COVID 19 but in reality the hotel is not functioning at a standard that should be open to the public.

What started off as a relaxing break has become an utter pain and we won't be recommending a stay here to anyone.

There are a lot of older people and families- not really a spot for young couples, but it is gorgeous nonetheless.

The food is amazing and the breakfast buffet is phenomenal with everything you could ever think of as an option.

We actually paid to sit on the beach which we could of done at the public beach for free.

We do find it a little bit tired, however still clean and service is great.

This resort was clean & I would highly recommend this resort for cleanliness & service.

Resort was very clean all restaurants we used were spotless and food was lovely.

The service was another level and the Security and Care was just amazing.

Excellent property with good food selections and easy access to other Palm resorts.

No towels, no pool we really paid a lot of money for nothing.

This property was above and far beyond anything I could have expected.

We would love to thank them for making our stay very comfortable.

The hotel is both family friendly and suitable for couples or individuals.

The resort is beautiful and our swim up room was amazing.

Everything about this hotel was just perfect from start to finish.

Anantara the Palm Jemirah is heaven on earth

One of the best resorts.

Overall the stay was good.

The beach staff were great.

We have had to chase Anantara several times as their staff don't both to update, offered no decent explanation for why our money can be taken but not returned and don't seem that bothered.

Very bad customer service, very bad rude Arabic staff his name is Ameer egyption senior guy from the front desk, along with a very racist guy called Abdul from Marocco.

Every member of staff who took care of us in room , at breakfast or at the Mekong Restaurant were attentive & extremely accommodating.

I would like to address a special thank you and appreciation to Iana, the front desk manager, who was very cooperative and helpful,

The service during the stay was great but it was all ultimately ruined when the hotel failed to return our deposit for incidentals.

What was incredible, the staff gave us an upgrade for a special offer for the water villa as it was our anniversary

The only drawback is they have taken to bluntly asking for good reviews (as this disturbing trend continues a la Black Mirror).

Theirs one other person he helped us with our bags upon arrival and departure, I can’t remember his name another amazing person!!

Staff are all very friendly, thanks to Ibraham the receptionist who offered a room for us as early as 7am!

The service was amazing and BoBo made us feel so welcome and took great care of us during our stay.

The staff couldn't be more welcoming and would assist in everything to make my stay as relaxing as possible.

The staff is always available to drive you to and from your room in the little golf cars.

It took me few calls and long waiting to get simple things done like delivering luggage and so.

After hanging clean my room for more than 4 hours as well they didn’t clean the room.

The staff is very helpful and they seem to have been trained to chat with every guest.

Staff tend to be a little too enthusiastic on occasions but that’s better than the alternative.

After the initial hiccup they really made up for it and we had a great time.

Jaime at the front desk gave me great tips to enjoy the facilities at it's best!

We would specifically like to mention Ms. Merina at check-in and throughout our stay.

Whenever we asked for water they always provided late and less than asked.

She was of great assistance and maintained an infectious smile when greeting us.

Predesh? gave excellent serviced to us and made us enjoy it more.

The hotel is amazing, we booked the delux room with lagoon access but unfortunately there was it windy and little rain and the lagoon was not warm for a swim so it was a waste , we should have booked a normal room instead.

The view of the fishes in the floor window was amazing, but the storm on our second night was a bit scary watching the sea splash up under the villa through that window.

Room service, cleaning, towels or replacements every time they knocked one of us were in the shower or getting dressed ready for the evening meal so had to keep declining.

It wasn't private as people were in the sea looking in right outside our balcony room and when we looked outside the bath window so wasn't very private!

We loved taking advantage of walking off our balcony into the lagoon whether it was early morning, late night, or at any point during the day.

Your own patio with steps into the pool, and a platform in front of your patio where you can sit and enjoy a beverage.

They gave us a family room instead, which was really good and our son enjoyed having his own room and tent.

The lavatory is huge and has an optional wall that opens to the room and view of the lagoon.

I have booked the rooms that have direct access to the lagoons and there were very noisy neighbors.

The room service takes a bit, but they now give you delivery times which helps with the wait.

As per the hotel the housekeeping staff spent 30 minutes in the room whilst we were away.

The bed is very comfortable, and the blackout curtains are a must for those who sleep late.

We spent three nights in a kingsize bed room with extra bed for our 5 year old.

The entire establishment was clean and well maintained both in the room and on the grounds.

The air conditioning in the room is very loud but works well, take ear plugs.

There is ample closet space, a nice coffee maker, glassware, and a wine opener/bottle opener.

We stayed overlooking the lagoon and it was noisy with screaming kids at 9pm.

However, rooms are outdated and lack some tech perks or anything of that sort.

However the villas were amazing and i suggest to book villas at the lagoon.

The food is good for in-room dining, and they don't gouge like some hotels.

If you look for ok room with reasonable budget then residence is good.

Lagoon room was very nice, size, design & , feeling of real vacation.

If you want a real treat, then get the Premier Lagoon Access room.

The mini-bar fridge is VERY small so don't count on it for refrigeration.

You have direct and semi-private access to the 24-hour swimming pool (lagoon).

I visited it twice and i will do again when ever i visit Dubai, it is that good.

Also the vegan burger at Australian restaurant was a surprise! It was one of the best i had!

Unfortunate that Bushmen's was closed but The Beach house was excellent with food and service.

The restaurants were good but the highlight of my trip was the Asian restaurant.

The Bushman is good to great food and chill (not a DJ) live entertainment.

Plus points were the Mekong restaurant very nice meal and very good service.

I would highly recommend the Pomelo salad (was recommended by the waiter).

Crescendo restaurant metr'd performance needs to be addressed big time!

We had dinner at Bushman's and it was fantastic.

Afternoon tea is also great at the Lotus lounge.

Cocktails at Bushman's were great as well.

Wouldn't recommend the villa stays - very expensive considering the state of the outside (covered in bird faeces, pool needs a daily clean to ensure that all the foliage, berries, bird droppings etc. are cleared out).

I went a night before booking to check the hotel and see the facilities they never mentioned the beach is closed for maintenance.

I would come back the hotel because of the excellent facilities including dining options.

The blue night light installed at the lagoon is a problem that we faced.

The lagoon night light should be changed to normal pool white light.

Not fancy but has all amenities of five star hotel.

The big problem starts later when I asked for my money back the hotel said to ask from the agency hotel.com that said that the hotel doesn't want to refund the money because it was not refundable.

The first excuse was that their network was not working and that the money would be returned by the end of the evening and that their staff would update us in a few hours.

Our room was not ready at check-in, however after some discussion they gave us a family room instead.

Right from the start we were directed to different gate for checkin.. main lobby didn’t receive us.

I asked for a different room but they do not have room for all the stay.

We had to wait almost 1 hour to get into the room.

When we went to the beach houses ( coffee shop) the view when we looked outside was that of the back side of an air cooler.

The area of the resort is one of the best place to have some nice rest.

Would have expected the management to pay need to the aesthetics.

The layout of the property, is cozy, nice and walkable.

The place is pretty green for Dubai - good.

At the weekends we struggle to find seats at the pool and beach area it was very busy.

As a compensation / service recovery I was offered 50% off on the full price if we went for a spa again.

The shower was not working so had to walk up to the spa reception to seek help.

The Spa was super nice, very nice therapists (Thi & Indian ladies both were so good).

Post the therapy we were asked to promptly vacate as they had a couple waiting.

Spa was very limited with such huge space for spa nothing much to offer.

It was a joke as they were anyways running a promotional offer for everyone.

The spa in Anantara is wonderful with great service and environment.

We should have been rushed post the spa.

I chose not to visit the spa again.

Preventive Maintenance should have been in place.

They sent the engineers to fix.

I recommend Turkish hamam experience.

Went to the steam room.

The whole experience was ruined.

Took a signature spa.

Therapy was overall average.

No attendant.
