Thank you Avani Deira for providing me with an excellent experience for my visit to Dubai which will not be my last!

If we would ever get the chance to return to Dubai, Avani Deira Dubai Hotel will be our choice!!

It felt like you are at motel 6 not a hotel with 5 stars

I was shocked at the level of the hotel in comparison to the expectation.

This this the 1st hotel gave me piece of cake as a VVIP Plus.

I really loved the hotel, I missed it the minute I left.

Overal it's always a great experience and good value for your money

Beer is 50 dirhams which is expensive considering the area.

In general, the hotel was overrated on Expedia review.

The employees in the onsite restaurant...are honestly the most friendly and consistently hospitable employees I have come across in a dining establishment ever

Bryan our dedicated room person was great, nothing was too much trouble and he was very thorough in cleaning the room.

Going the extra mile to ensure it was easy for us to stay there with our one year-old son.

A special word of praise for Head Concierge Nisath nothing was ever too much trouble for him

Julie in the restaurant was also very helpful and looked after my husband and I - thanks!

Not everyone is fasting, and you have been lame to provide the basics to your guests.

After a long argument for about half an hour with the hotel staff about this issue.

They provided the milk for us every time we dined without even having to ask

The staff, pointed out where I could get what I wanted, with out any fuss.

Amazing people to the reception to the room service to the you doorman

All staff are very friendly and make you feel at home and welcomed.

All of our interactions with room service and housekeeping were wonderful as well

Anything we didn't have or worked, they corrected or fixed the issue IMMEDIATELY!

They were extremely friendly and went the extra mile to accommodate us.

A highly dedicated customer friendly brother in whom I’m well pleased.

The staff was amazing so awesome with such a cherish people.

After complaining to Manager he changed for us to another room

The staff was GREAT!

Room smelled like smoke although it should have been non- smoker room in addition to old furniture and broken wardrobe.

Lots of water on the bathroom floor after a shower as the shower screens did not have good seals

The room was also very good and always clean when we returned from our outings.

When my why was taking shower .... there was 2 men walking in our room

As for room cleanliness, the room they gave me was supposed to be smoking-free.

I had a smoking room, and I could smell the smoke from previous occupants.

Even turned off AC for 2 days, the room was still very cold

As per photos on website the room were look very specious & clean.

Room was not clean properly & bathroom exhaust is not working at all

Didn’t like the way they clean the room and touched my clothes etc

The room was very quiet can't even tell there's heavy traffic outside.

But no access to windows or fresh air once in the room

The Hotel gave them same room they just gave it to us

Finally a terrible view from the window facing a building under construction.

Lights didn’t work in our room and the toilet handled was broken

The air conditioning was too much and it couldn’t turn off.

The room was really comfy and relaxing, I definitely recommend it.

We found out next morning the of our room not working

Beside that staff are very nice and room was big.

However, the smell of beddings was all tobacco.

Lovely spacious room, very clean and quiet.

The rooms were clean and modern.

Even the engineer visited the room.

But it was opposite to this.

A gem located conveniently in old town Dubai away from noise and any sense of danger so much so that we felt comfortable walking the streets daily after our excursions

Bring ear plugs - being near the airport there is a lot of plane noise, but it’s tolerable.

Otherwise it was a pleasant stay at a nice place in close proximity to the airport.

But the area and the client not what I would want to be around.

Metro nearby and lots of grocery stores and some good restaurants.

I'd definitely recommend the hotel if Deira is your desired location.

My husband did say that the breakfast could be better, low fat milk and a better choice of cereal.

Just didn't like the new restaurant breakfast they serve less for food compared to the previous restaurant

We had the fortune of eating in the restaurant daily for breakfast

Restaurant staff harassed my husband and asked him to pay for the breakfast while he was still eating like he was going to run out without paying

My husband was harassed by restaurant employees asking him to pay for his breakfast in the middle of his meal.

But to me it was a tad bit expensive, but I guess that the price is on par for Dubai.

We had the fortune of eating in the restaurant daily for breakfast

I liked the buffet they offered for lunch and dinner

As was the food.

The food was great.

Public areas (corridors) and particulary reception on some of the days I stayed (!) all smell of cigarette smoke.

It’s most uninviting for non-smokers and guests from countries where this isn’t the norm.

Suggestion - if you allow smoking in rooms, perhaps just designate 1 floor.

I was shocked you can even smoke at the pool.

No 110V outlets (1 in wsh didn’t work)

Parking is in the basement, quite and Free.

All drains needed plugs removed manually

Dirty facility.

I felt uncomfortable and I had to give up using the pool for the rest of the stay.

The only problem was the pool was cold, there was an issue with the heating system.

I didn’t like the fact that people were gathering just to smoke around the pool side.

I thought the airport shuttle was expensive also but was convenient for the early morning hour I needed to be at the airport.

Very close to metro train for transport to shopping malls ect as location of hotel not walking distance to popular sites.

We had all our excursions leaving from the hotel via shuttle so no work on our part and very convenient!!!

After a long argument for about half an hour with the hotel staff about this issue, I found out that they are making this big fuss only to charge me AED 120 ($32) more.

I was so tired but the hotel refused to give me the room and wanted me to wait til 3 PM!

At check-in, I have arrived at the hotel at 6 AM from an 8 hours flight from Shanghai.

AT checking in, I was told the tourist tax is AED 20 per night, contradicting Expedia's confirmation.

Reason being, the tax is based on number of stars and Avani is a 5* hotel.

They needed time to fix it but It was my time to check out.

At checkout, the hotel refused to give me a checkout balance statement!

Check in was easy.
