Overall: What guests say

Reviews are sharply mixed: guests praise the accessible location, affordable rates, quiet atmosphere, and comfortable family stays, with some eager to return. Recurring complaints describe tired, outdated rooms and furniture, maintenance and cleanliness problems, disengaged service, and a poor dining experience; many say the property falls short of its five-star rating. One guest reported a hot, unairconditioned common area, and others reported duplicate charges and an unresolved refund.

Everything else. Terrible maintenance, not enough staff, noise, and the water went off three times (once as planned and twice because of an “emergency.” It shouldn’t even have four stars. It was a five-star hotel at least 20 years ago.
Overall, I feel this was once a great hotel... maybe 10 years ago, but it is in need of a refresh and greater attention to detail from staff to be worthy of a 5-star rating.
I travel extensively for business and have stayed at many hotels across Dubai. Based on that experience, I would not consider this a five-star property. It feels much closer to a three-star hotel.

The hotel suffers from significant service issues, staff who appear disengaged and unhappy—particularly in the restaurant—inconsistent housekeeping, outdated rooms, and a very poor dining experience.
This is not normal in a hotel with this reputation and also it is 5 star hotel not 3 or 4 star.
I advice for not choose this hotel and recommend to reduce the level of it to be 3 or 2+.

Overall just okay for one time stay and short term. Can't be regular until they fix issues mentioned
The hotel’s standard is not worthy of a 5-star hotel and is not worth the price.
A wonderful experience, and I will stay at the hotel again when I come back.

I’ve been staying at this hotel for about 15 years. It has gradually gone downhill.
An efficient well-placed hotel that served its purpose for my three-day stop-off in Dubai.
Overall, the hotel falls short in terms of cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service.

The hotel itself is dated and does not deserve the 5 star rating.
It’s was average doesn’t feel we are staying in five star hotels
One of the most wonderful and comfortable hotels. I will visit again.

Only there for 2 nights. very disappointing as everything was fine
Hotel gives dates feeling. not a new building or new style.
Generally it’s so convenient and comfortable, the location is accessible.

Later they guaranteed me to charge me the money back.
Setting a low bar for a 5 start hotel right?
But that was ok since we only stayed 1 night.

We never expect such things in 5- star hotel
I liked the ambiance of the hitel in general
I was charged two times for one night.

Expecting much more from a five star hotel.
We can not recommend this hotel at all.
- I would consider it 3.5 star property.

A suitable place to rest and relax
Excellent value for money! I recommend it!
We enjoyed our stay at Crowne Plaza.

Rooms: What guests say
View Crowne Plaza Dubai Deira by IHG321 relevant reviews
The most repeated complaints concern weak or broken air conditioning, sometimes leaving rooms uncomfortably hot despite repair attempts, and inconsistent cleaning. Guests also report worn furnishings and bathroom problems, including poor water pressure, broken fittings, and unclean toilets. Others describe rooms as spacious, clean, and comfortable, with some praising the beds and housekeeping.

However, the hotel management is very poor, and the room cleaning is extremely bad. The sheets and covers are not changed, the bathroom and towels are not clean, and soap and shampoo are not provided in the bathroom despite repeated requests and informing the hotel management. This did not happen only to me; while sitting in reception, I noticed complaints from a large number of guests. They do not care about room cleanliness or make it a priority.
Since this hotel was graded as 4.5 or 5 star we are expecting that it will be most likely better than other hotels which we stayed before. Shower room smelled pee,and we found cockroaches in the living area. Furnitures are also bit old even the sofa chairs.
L guess my room was given to someone else who l assume refused to take the room because it was somehow smelling. This is because the welcome note in my room was addressed to some Mr ...... yet l am Miss.

Even our non smoking room. bathroom fittings was pretty worn and walls dirty. the WC seat has ugly stains on it and the flush was broken. the bath towels was clean but didn’t serve the purpose!
The hotel is comfortable, carpeted with luxurious carpets, has plenty of drawers in the rooms, and the rooms are very spacious. The hotel is quiet; you can't hear any noise while sleeping.
The room wouldn't get cleaned even after asking 3 times and ehen it got cleaned they put a dirty sheet on the bed instead of a fresh one.

And before handing a room to someone they have to make sure everything looks good. In the washroom the wasn’t any soap or shampoo at all
Very bad, booking .com cheated me. They give not good room. No pool view , no city view, no sona in bathroom. Ac not working
First, the water in the bathroom was extremely hot when showering. I tried several times to adjust the temperature, but to no avail.

The room we stayed in had a very odd, lingering smell. the rooms were not cleaned and when cleaned, not done properly.
The room was not properly cleaned or well maintained, and the bathroom fittings were old and in need of replacement.
My friend, Mr. Bader initially was checked in room 603. However all power sockets were not working in the room.

The hotel was empty they gave me the last room in the floor imaging passing 20 empty rooms
My family and I liked the size of the room well we stayed in a Junior Suite.
Nt well maintained rooms , noise comes from next rooms , linens blankets towels all v old

1) the room was run down with aircond dripping and flooding the toilet at Room 415
On the first night, we were uncomfortable because the room next door was extremely noisy,
Begging for extra comforter requested 7-8 ppl but they didnot brough it on time

The Room is advertised on booking.com having a sauna but this is not true!
The bathroom needed maintenance, and there was a water leak in the bathroom
The channels do not come in clearly despite the television being replaced

So many problem bath doors no good ac no good working
Towel and washroom sliper wer not available bedsheet smelled like voumit
The refrigerator does not cool even though it was replaced

Extremely Very dirty! Mold in fridge and bathroom tubs edges
The room-cleaning service was so disappointing—or rather, infuriating. When I checked in on the first day, the bathroom amenities were all there. But after the room was cleaned the next morning, the non-slip bath mat was missing, and no toilet paper had been replenished. I called to ask for them, but the housekeeping department only brought toilet paper in the end. I didn’t get back to the room until nearly midnight on the third day, and the bath mat and toilet paper were still missing. Early the next morning, I went downstairs to complain to the department manager in person. When I returned to the room that evening, there was toilet paper, but still no bath mat. When I asked housekeeping about it, they actually told me to use a bath towel instead. I was so alarmed that I didn’t even dare use the bath towels. I stayed for six days in total, and apart from the first day, every time I went into the bathroom my feet got wet, and I was afraid of slipping.
Second my husband got sick on our first night and i called housekeeping to bring new linen i didn’t mind changing it however the duvet had a dry blood stain and the mattress protector had a dry urine stain. They changed it the next day but this was after 3 calls to housekeeping and talking to front desk. The bathroom has mold everywhere. The shower control faceplate was loose housekeeping guy came and just banged it to the wall he did not care we were there. I called the housekeeping to come and clean the dust in the wardrobe there were stains on the wall by the coffee station. I believe this room was not occupied for a long time or there is something wrong with the cleaning standards.

The AC thermostat seemed to be rigged, and the AC was not working properly. We changed 2 rooms 255 and 205, and both had cooling issues. The technicians came and checked and said they were perfectly fine and the room would be cooler with time, but we could not sleep properly due to the room not cooler enough. They offered us to change our room on the 2nd day again to club 604, but it was not worth changing with 2 kids and luggage to a smaller room and almost no space for extra bed.
First, we asked for a twin bed room, they made us wait for the key card. When we finally go to our room, it wasn't even twin bed. We asked to be transfered to a different room with a twin bed,and the AC was not even working well, they tried to fixed and told us to just wait it out. But when we came back late night our room doesn't even feel cold.
The water pressure in the shower is poor. It takes a long time to wash off the soapy water. The water pressure in the toilet bowl is even worse. I had a room on the 5th floor, but I heard a noise coming from the restaurant on the ground floor. The insulation between the rooms is very bad. Television and TV programs are not viewable due to poor signal quality.

Staff: What guests say
View Crowne Plaza Dubai Deira by IHG321 relevant reviews
Staff experiences were sharply mixed. Receptionists—especially Alisha, along with Hana, Ayman and others—were repeatedly praised for being warm, professional and helpful. However, guests also reported understaffing, slow or unresolved requests, indifferent concierge or luggage assistance, and inconsistent housekeeping. One guest said an employee opened their occupied room with a master key.

I have already addressed to the buffett supervisors but wasn't able to get the manager. There is one staff at Breakfast- who I won't name just out of respect for his future career and learns something out of this,, who is downright rude and don't understand how to operate in a hospitality industry. He needs to be educated by managerial staff and I had let the supervisor know of the exact episode that had occured immediately, but I continued to see this person at the counter taking orders. In this episode his collegaues also advised him that he's being rude to guests and his voice is up , but he continued and asked them to just mind thier jobs, right when I was there, like he owns this place. Not like the guests are coming here for free lunch !
My thanks go to Brother Malak, the night-shift receptionist. He was very polite, respectful, and helpful, and his manner was excellent. His name is Malak 😉. The handling employee, I think his name was Hamdi, was Syrian and very courteous. Please excuse me; I’m not good at remembering names. I had a problem with my reservation: the morning employee, who I think was Indian, wouldn’t let me extend my stay under the hotel booking made by the whole group. He wasn’t cooperative. I told him I wanted to speak to the manager. Then a very kind Asian female employee intervened and asked me to wait a little. After that, she spoke with the manager and arranged a booking for me for another day. I don’t remember her name, but I think it was Rous.
An incident occurred when we left the hotel and came back. I was surprised to find that the room key card, which controls the lights, was missing. When I asked why, how, and who had taken the card, they said they did not know—perhaps the cleaner had taken it—and that I could come downstairs or they could send me another card. I did not like that response.

Called reception for complaining about the AC, the guy was rude he said i cannot hear you and cancelled the call, he didnt care to call back The next time i called again he cut the call the third time some lady staff attended the call and addressed the issue.
The staff misguided us and Said in our system it only showed that the booking was of only 2 people but we booked it for 4 the at the time said that I will do you a favour you should thank me
The staff at reception are so not professional and welcoming. The staff and their supervisor are the same. Pushing you around from counter to counter. They lack basic decency of addressing the customers in a good manner.

A staff came immediately and plugged it and said all good. So we thought it's working and put in some drinks. After 3 hours, we checked and those were still warm.
I kept asking the staff to get it cleaned. Nobody did anything about it. I asked for an extra towel and a pillow, but they didn't provide
Nice staff and fantastic stay especially from Salah and Rona , Really appreciate the good services that made my family happy, thanks again salah and rona

All the hotel staff were cooperative, provided excellent service, and fulfilled all the guests’ requests. Many thanks to all of them without exception.
The stuff are very kind and soft specially Mr Malak and Zain i would thanks them for their customer care and professionality
And they arranged our tour it was excellent he took care of us always checking if we got what we deserved.

I asked for extra towels, a blanket, a pillow, and a bathrobe, but they only brought them several hours later.
Management should take this national characteristic into account when assigning rooms and place them separately from guests from other countries.
The maintenance guys checked and said it is normal and many times it was completely off in the shower.

Many thanks also to the very slim security guard at the swimming pool, who is very kind to children.
I want to be thankful to Alisha receptionist for this excellent service which she had provided for me
I honestly don't understand: management responds to almost every negative review but has done nothing for many years.

Some of the stuff are very unfriendly they are only happy if you are paying for something.
We got a call at 10pm in the night for something we informed them about before.
You can face with a nice staff from reception, I want to thank Alisha for

Which is very surprising that the staff told me that it got booked somewhere else
Some employees are unresponsive, especially regarding the problem of the air conditioner’s loud noise.
And you had to approach multiple staff just to have the sauna access.

The staff handling luggage at reception are neglectful and not focused at all.
On call some time no response. need to go reception for any reason.
All the staff were excellent in their welcome, service, and hospitality. 💐💐💐💐💐

Excellent service by staff for our meals, at pool at room service.
Tara Baha Dur was excellent with the cleaning of the room.
Excellent staff especially Ibrahim for his excellence in fulfilling special requests,

Location: What guests say
View Crowne Plaza Dubai Deira by IHG170 relevant reviews
Guests often praised the convenient Deira location: the metro, malls, shops, restaurants, and supermarkets are within walking distance, and the airport is about 10 minutes away. However, the area can feel crowded, tourist attractions may take 30 minutes or more by car, and some guests reported loud nightclub music late at night.

The hotel is located between two stations on the Green Line, at roughly equal distances from both. There are many hypermarkets nearby, both grocery stores—including 24-hour ones—and general merchandise stores. Many things are cheaper than back home. For example, we bought cucumbers for 1.99 dirhams, tomatoes for 2.99, green peppers for 2.99, yellow and red peppers for 3.99, mandarins for 2.99, dragon fruit for 5.99, and local chocolate-covered almonds in dates for 10 dirhams per bag, weighing between 100 and 500 grams, as well as coffee caramels, and so on. Everything is tasty and natural. There is also a wide range of general merchandise to suit every taste and budget, including winter clothes. A tip for finding these stores: on the maps at all the metro stations, your location is marked with a red circle, and shopping centers are shown in purple. Visit them and you’ll be happy.
The location was not too bad, there were beaches nearby (around 15 minute taxi ride) and a metro station where the metro had stops at most tourist attraction. But if you want to take a taxi and drive, there is a bit of traffic usually so it takes a while to go the usual tourist attractions (30 mins+).
It is an old hotel which is in the old town area. We moved to this hotel from downtown area (super modern) as it is closer to the airport. This gave us a very different view of Dubai, which we also enjoyed.

The location is fantastic—you can reach the metro within a 1-minute walk, and Al Ghurair mall and Reef Mall are just a short stroll away.
The location is good for transport links, but in a very run down location- every evening you will find leaflets for call-girls on the footpath!!!
We only stayed one night and chose it because it was close to the airport, as we had to catch a very early flight.

The hotel is not far away from the metro station, it's about 5 minutes walking, and there is a lot of restaurants.
It is very well located, with a small shopping center nearby and a metro station, so it is easy to get around.
A six-lane road and a railway line right outside the entrance, and it is also under the flight path for DXB.

The metro is nearby. There are inexpensive shops a few hundred meters away (Gift Land, 1–15 dirham shopping center).
In the evening, women and men meet in the hotel sports bar before going to meet in the rooms.
The location of the hotel is very convenient as it was close to many restaurants and other facilities.

Location : The loaction was perfect. Around 15 to 20 mins walking distance from the metro station.
The location is close to amenities and shops, and not too far from Jumeirah Beach.
The hotel is in a very bad location, in an old and crowded area.

The location is Deira which is far off the main attractions in Dubai.
The location, because it is close to the metro and supermarket
The location is great, with easy access to marts and restaurants,

The location is perfect if you have flight next day,
Far from crowded areas, and in a good location.
The hotel is in a great location, and

I like the location of the property
Area around the hotel is not great.
The location was quite far away.

The hotel’s location is excellent
And the location is excellent!
Location not that great

The neighborhood is poor.
Only the location.
Location is okay.

Breakfast: What guests say
View Crowne Plaza Dubai Deira by IHG144 relevant reviews
Breakfast is often praised for its generous, varied buffet, including fruit, Indian dishes, live dosa, omelets, and options across cuisines. However, quality and variety are inconsistent: several guests report repetitive or bland food and fewer Western choices. Recurring complaints include chaotic service, unclean or unavailable tables and utensils, slow refills, and long waits for eggs.

Breakfast from 6:30 to 10:30 was varied: fruit—sliced watermelon, melon, and pineapple; whole apples; bananas; various kinds of cheese; nuts: cashews, walnuts, and almonds; seeds; dried fruit: prunes, raisins, dried apricots, and more. At least five chefs prepare pancakes and omelets in front of you. There is a variety of sliced meats and vegetables, side dishes such as potatoes, rice, beans, and cabbage, assorted pastries, and delicious natural soft drinks. Everything was available throughout breakfast, and if something ran out when there were many guests, it would reappear shortly afterward.
Hashbrown and vada which was microwaved. It was very hard. Bakery items was almost same and never change. Every day 1 type of cake only was there. If we go early breakfast, there is no white bread at all. The white bread will come only after 8am. Usually, every hotel will have apple juice for breakfast. But Crown Plaza don't have apple juice at all. Not a single day had the apple juice.
Breakfast time is ridiculous.. You can imagine having children play area in the same place and at the same time that people are having breakfast. Plates are ridiculously cold and old. The food is repetitive and not of good quality. You have to beg for tables to be clean, and this takes ages before you can get a clean seat at breakfast time. Pay for half board at your own peril.

Breakfast: It was heaven, literally! Many options were available like Western, indian and so on. Plus, the fruits were cherry on top. They have an unlimited buffet, and even if you go late, you won't be missing out anything. So I absolutely recommend adding breakfast. 5 out of 5.
Breakfast was plenty but very disorganized, 5 days on 9 the coffee machine were not working, and must of the times was no cups in the omelette station was always busy by the time that the omelette got to my table the coffee or tea was cold
On the first day, the breakfast buffet was overflowing with food; there was everything because the chain’s general managers were visiting. The rest of the days, it was all empty, nothing was replenished, and half the things from the first day were missing.

However, the breakfast quality has gone down from past. The Indian food with like of very standard taste. The Crowne plaza at Sheikh Zayed road had a lot to offer on the breakfast, However, the same is no more with Crowne plaza.
My wife and my kid went to hunt down a cup for tea(which was nowhere to be found) and came back to find that the waiter had given one chair to another table. The coffee machine was leaking all over the place..
The breakfast, which used to be the best thing about the hotel, has declined significantly in quality. The pastries are not fresh and there is very little of them. They have practically removed the cheeses, the salmon, the ham... quite poor.

2+breakfast staff was unprepared , was difficult to find tabel and when you find there is no spoon or one day there is no glass and he give me dirty water glass , every body was running and no chaos
And for the breakfast re-filling of the food was very late even though we asked the staff again we will have a wait or leave the place this was highlighted to the staff and F&B manager Shiva.
- we stayed their 7 days and during all days, breakfast menu’s was same. menu selection was very poor. Only limited option for vegetarians. in snacks, all day you get roast potatoes and tomatoes.

Breakfast buffet is same everyday , I know most hotels have that, but a little variation over the course of days would make it even better although breakfast food quality was great
Breakfast service is very poorly managed. Tables are not cleaned, and basic utensils such as forks and knives are often missing.
The breakfast was very nice. We stayed 11 nights and didn't get bored. Had a very nice variety.

The breakfast is ok if you are arab or indian, need more variety for western guest.
We also had to pay extra for the breakfasts which was exceptionally good.
I also felt the breakfast was repetitive and just above mediocre.

The breakfast and dining facilities on site were very good.
The buffet was very nice. Highly recommend the breakfast.
Special shout to Milan and Crystal at breakfast.

Breakfast no same service bad service less worker
The breakfast was good, a variety of choices.
What was very good was the breakfast

Plates in the breakfast hall were dirty.
The breakfast service was very chaotic.
Breakfast was quiet but v busy.

I liked the breakfast only
And breakfast was great.
Breakfast is also good.

Facilities: What guests say
View Crowne Plaza Dubai Deira by IHG129 relevant reviews
Guests often describe the hotel as old and in need of renovation; some encountered construction dust and poor cleaning. Weak air conditioning, heat in common areas, and food or unpleasant corridor smells recur. Access is awkward: there is no lift from basement parking to the ground floor, requiring guests to carry luggage up stairs. Positives include a spacious lobby and a quiet, clean environment.

There are function rooms, and every day there is loud music and crowds gathering at the entrance. There are crowds at reception, including people of Indian nationality, and music can be heard up to the third floor. I hope they will organize things. I may have read comments about the same problem, but the hotel management has not addressed it.
The smells in the corridors are very bad. There are unpleasant odors, and there is no good air freshener. Of course, these odors may be coming from guests’ rooms, but it is very important to install air fresheners in the hotel corridors between the rooms, or, if they are already there, to increase their use.
Air Condition in building switched off. They claimed maintenance but it was far too selective. All restaurants and foyers off, rooms on at minimal. A hotel that size has a huge amount of totally separate Air Conditions, the chances of that combination not working or being serviced, impossible!

3. First time I have seen a hotel has the shortage of toilet paper. 1.5 days without toilet paper and or tissue. I was not sure what was expected for guests to do. 4. We reveived 1 towl for 4 people.
After parking there is no elevator to the ground floor you have to carry your luggage and walk up the stairs after that 1 more escalator for the lobby (its not in the ground floor)
What makes a guest stay memorable is the staff not the facilities. You can have an old building with great staff or you can have a good building with bad staff.

This place is not worth visiting because it does not provide satisfactory services for visitors. I also do not recommend it because it does not offer all the services described.
This place is not worth visiting because it does not provide satisfactory services for visitors. I also do not recommend it because it does not offer all the services described.
Lot of items needed to be got on demand like toiletries. Entrance to reception isn't too attractive for a 5 star hotel. Especially considering the size of the hotel.

There is a very curious person at the main entrance. His stares are very strange; he stares at people a lot and is very noticeable. He is Egyptian.
The hotel didn’t clean the room or make the beds. We had to ask them to clean, and then they might do it—and even that wasn’t certain,

Due no elevator was not available at the basement to takes us to the room, we need to claim the stairs to go the reception.
Wifi sucked, no option for a Whatsapp video or audio calls, however surfing online in various websites was perfectly fine.
The property is very old, with outdated and worn furniture that has clearly exceeded its useful life.

Coffee machine need to be upgrade. After several serve the machine doesn't work and some leak.
The hotel is confusing, with its elevators, and there is no elevator from the parking area.
Crazy notice while call dialed from room using hotel telephone. phones are not maintained adequately.

At 10 in the morning, the fire alarm went off, and it was terrifying.
The cleanliness is not wow for a 5-star hotel, but it is acceptable.
They were always at the ground level and lobby, but not noisy.

Some minor building works however will make the hotel even better
The air conditioning in the hotel’s facilities is bad.
The architecture of it is different its nice unusual.

There is also a prayer room in the hotel.
The smell in the corridors was absolutely disgusting.
The amenities were less than average .

The public facilities are not working well
No water pressure for a shower.
Serene environment inside the hotel.

Check-in / Check-out: What guests say
View Crowne Plaza Dubai Deira by IHG91 relevant reviews
Check-in experiences are mixed, but repeated reports describe long waits and rooms not being ready: delays range from about an hour to nearly two hours, with one guest waiting until 8:30 p.m. after arriving at 3 p.m. Some guests report quick check-in or staff arranging early check-in; late checkout may be granted, sometimes for an extra charge.

Before check-in, the hotel canceled my reservation because there were no funds on my card, even though payment was due upon arrival. I was surprised to find that it had been canceled the day before I arrived, even though Booking.com allows check-in from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., and I arrived at around 9 p.m. According to them, the reservation was canceled because it was unconfirmed and they needed the rooms. The worst part is that I had to book a new room at a price 600 Saudi riyals higher than my previous booking. So why cancel the reservation and offer new bookings at a higher price?
Not being overcharged and then having to chase for a refund for a month after I have got back with numerous emails and messages to the hotel and booking.com. I was told on arrival there was an issue with payment with one of the rooms and I needed to pay again and the original payment would be refunded. Before checking out I informed the desk that no refund had been processed and they told me it was a mistake and would process my refunds. Still over a month and a half later I am chasing to get my money repaid via booking.com and the hotel.
The problems were handled very poorly! We were given a room that smelled of smoke and ultimately had to spend one night in it, even though after checking in that afternoon we were promised that we would definitely get another room that same day. We were told to go sightseeing and that it would be ready by the time we got back. It wasn’t, despite our requests... The next morning, when we asked again, they were going to tell us to wait until the afternoon again, but after I insisted more firmly, we got a room almost immediately.

Honestly, they treated me very well. I was supposed to check in at 12 noon, but due to a change in circumstances, my arrival time changed and I arrived at 6 a.m. To be fair, the manager who was there did not hesitate to let me in and told me to rest.
Since I was checking out that day, I told the hotel manager. They simply replied, “I'm sorry,” as if it were completely to be expected. That made me feel even worse, because it seemed they knew about the problem but had assigned me the room anyway.
The check in time is at 3 pm (too late as most of the hotels check in time is at 2 pm), and then we were only given the room key cards by 3:30 pm as the rooms aren't ready yet.

At checkout time, I couldn't retrieve my belongings from the room because my key card stopped working 10 minutes before checkout. This delayed my departure slightly while I waited for someone to come and take the luggage.
I requested an early check-in as I landed a bit early (around 10 AM), and though I was charged half a day’s price, I didn’t mind as my child needed to rest after the flight.
We paid for four people—not cheaply—and when we checked in, we were told that a 12-year-old pays as an adult. But I entered the children’s ages, so it must have charged us the adult rate...

I like that we have a chance to gat room a little bit before then check in time 3pm, as receptionist Alisha said that room is available she has provided to us room earlier
Second, we booked for two days: a standard room for the first day and a suite for the second. We were not checked into the suite until late, around 7 or 8 p.m.
We checked in on the 30th of December 2023. We were checked in late after 830pm when we arrived at the hotel at 3pm. There were no rooms ready to check into.

To begin with, the staff were late preparing the room even though I had booked 8 hours in advance. I waited half an hour for the room to be ready.
I arrived at the hotel at 8 p.m. with a confirmed reservation. The employee told me they had no vacant rooms at the moment and to wait until midnight.
We still didn't have our room and it was difficult, we didn't have anywhere to go. I had asked for an early check in but this was not possible.

I waited more than two hours in the hotel lobby for the room to be made available, but that did not happen... After becoming very upset about this situation...
Late checkout was a little too expensive. AED 250—equivalent to 50% of one night including breakfast—and that was only for 6 hours, from 12 am to 6 pm.
I was offered to come back the following day after checking in to be given an upgrade due to the inconvenience but was never offered the upgrade.

When I was leaving the hotel and returning the keycards, the front desk advised that I did not have any bills but this was not the case.
5. Was informed that they had not collected the full amount when I checked in and was asked to pay close to 300 aed during check out.
The check in staff could have been more friendly. We had delays in check in and were made to wait around an hour without being asked for...

-I’ve called reception at around 10pm, a night before our check out, the male staff who I’ve talked to was not accommodating at all.
Originally when booking was made, we requested for two rooms next to one another. But during check in that request was not met.
My check out time was 12:00 pm, and the hotel staff switched off my room lights at 10:30 am.

When wanted to check out we waited half an hour for them to take our luggagge.
Front counter always has only 1 or 2 staff checking the guests in.
When I asked when my luggage will be delivered to my room.

The wait and the lack of staff to check guests in.
Only they allow me the late checkout at 4:00 pm.
Will be happy to get a refund

Pool: What guests say
View Crowne Plaza Dubai Deira by IHG71 relevant reviews
Guests often praised the warm, clean pool and sunny rooftop setting, with children enjoying the separate pool. However, the shallow section can be crowded, the children’s area is small, and some guests reported worn or damaged loungers, dirty pool surfaces, and missing towels. One guest found the pool closed for maintenance.

The pool is heated, with a depth of 60 cm for children and 1.2 m to 2.5 m for adults. It is clean and on the sunny side of the hotel, on the fourth floor; the fifth and sixth floors shelter it from the wind. We got more of a tan in one week than we managed to get at home all summer.
The pool size is big however, they should have made the 4-5 feet pool area bigger rather than the 7-8 feet area as the 4-5 feet is the average height for most people so it was swamped by crowd, and no one is in the 7-8 feet area of the pool. You can barely swim in the 4-5 feet area.
The swimming pools hot tub didn't have good enough hot water ,my kids and family wanted to.gave a good time in hot jacuzzi after a tiring day but no hot water and there was no staff at the Pool in the evening to listen tomorrow request .

All the sun loungers by the pool are damaged; there are no cushions (like the ones in the pictures)! The towels are worn out too. An annoying argument with the pool attendant if you want a second towel.
The swimming pool was clean and it's quite deep, so if you are a non swimmer like me, avoid swimming! Plus, you have to bring your own swimsuit for swimming. I would give 3.5 out of 5.
I wasn’t a fan of the window cleaners around the pool during the day - especially the fact you have to move out of your sun bed so they could clean the windows.

We love the swimming pool because there is kids pool which is good for Us because we have 4 yrs old son and 9 yrs old daughter they enjoy both 🥰
For that reason, pool side was very noisy with the nearby take-off flight path from DXB, although I don't mind that personally. Pool loungers were comfortable but in short supply.
The pool areas were nice couple of broken chairs the water looks clean but the walls, steps and bottom Is very dirty, not enough towels

On the 2 days stay, there was no available towel at the pool. As per the pool attendant all the towels are at the laundry
There is also a lovely rooftop swimming pool, although unfortunately it is by a bar. The prevalence of alcohol is generally saddening in five-star hotels.
The pool area was equally underwhelming. The sunbeds and mattresses were old, worn out, and torn, giving the entire area a neglected appearance.

They keep the swimming pool with warm water open until late evening, which make sense for tourists that are busy during the day.
The children were very happy about the pool, especially since the swimming pool is 2.5 m deep. Great for diving.
Many thanks also to the very slim security guard at the swimming pool, who is very kind to children.

I could not use the swimming pool as they told me is under maintenance and not operational.
The pool is very small, poor, unclean, and crowded, and it doesn’t look like the photos.
Swimming pool and jacuzzi were warm and pleasant, and helped us relax after an intensive day.

The pool is very good as compared to most pools of hotels in Dubai.
The pool wasn't great; it was small and not very well laid out.
The pool needs renovation and the section for kids is very tiny.

And needed matress for lounges around pool they were very uncomfortable .
I liked the pool; everything was clean, and the water was heated.
Swimming pool is packed with people who were training for swimming,

We like the swimming pool it's enjoyable.🙂
Great pool, swimming pool depth 2.5 m.
Just Pool was good at Roof

Great pool area on 4th floor
I like the pool ,
Pool wad perfect and clean.

Restaurant: What guests say
View Crowne Plaza Dubai Deira by IHG65 relevant reviews
Food reviews are mixed: many guests praise Spice Island, the Italian restaurant, and meals overall, while others describe half-board dinners as limited or poor and report Spice Island closed during renovations. Room-service quality and ordering are inconsistent. Guests also mention limited vegetarian and vegan choices, high meal prices, and occasional service or cutlery problems.

All our 3 rooms were half board, when we went to have dinner the staff over there told us that only one room had dinner, but he adressed the issue in few minutes, we had three kids with us we asked the lady staff there could we sit with our kids while he is checking about our dinner without any respect she told us to wait there till the dinner is confirmed with the management and we stood there.
Second, when I entered the bar to order a light meal, the Moroccan waitress approached me rudely and asked, “Do you want shisha?” without welcoming me or greeting me properly. On the contrary, she had an earpiece in her ear and could hear nothing but herself. Her Filipino colleague, however, was very professional and polite, and apologized for the meal being late, even though it was not late. This was on 18/6/2026 at around five in the evening.
Maybe a little mix up on the days at the bar with some international performance like before. At least two night on a week could be good to have a small band playing other kind of music. Arabic music is very nice and the performers were very good. But to stay one week and be seeing same dancers and more or less same music not so good. But enjoyed all of it.

I suggest that the hotel offer voucher packages for guests staying several days, as part of special deals. This could encourage guests to buy food there, bringing economic benefits, and save us from having to look for other restaurants in the area—especially those of us who are not Asian, since there are many restaurants in the area serving Asian communities. For example, deals on pizza, burgers, and so on...
Since I spent most of my time in the room, I frequently ordered in-room dining, but unfortunately, the food quality was disappointing. I would rate it one star, as the dishes were either overly salty or excessively oily, even something as simple as an egg. I hope the catering improves to match the hotel's high standards in the future.
We tried to pay several times, but my wife wasn't allowed to. When it was time to leave, we waited for 30 minutes to pay, but no one was there. It was added to the room later, but the service was poor.

As for the restaurant, the food is bad and the restaurant is old. The hotel tried to make it up to us by providing dinner, but unfortunately it was ten times worse than breakfast: five dishes, none of which were edible.
2) we reserved the room with half board were usually we take dinner in Spice land restaurant, we were shocked that the restaurant was closed due to renovation and the alternative restaurant was poor !!
While booking the stay, Booking.com gave us 20% discount on food & drinks but when we arrived they said that offer is not available and booking.com gave you wrong information, very bad service miscommunication

If you're considering booking half board, I would advise against it. The weekday dinner offering was extremely basic, with very limited choice and quality that did not reflect a five-star hotel.
I like the Compliment Lunch that they gave us during the check-in, because there was delay for half hour for the room, they compliment us with a free lunch buffet.
If you’re crazy about chicken, this isn’t the place for you—there is none here at all. Though I was corrected: sliced chicken sausage is served every day.

The valentine dinner was not good, one set menu and it had seafood. I do not eat seafood so I wasted money and time
As we were exosted, later at night, the two of us ordered room service, grill for two, but it was more for 3.
Crowne plaza hotel , classed as a 5 star hotel has 2 restaurants and a bar with very nice food.

The Italian restaurant on site, though not part of the hotel were superb in both the food and staff attitude.
3) called room service many times but was difficult to order. Had to go down to bring food up.
There is a bar nearby where you can order drinks and food from the restaurant, and smoke a hookah.

The bar was reasonably priced with a good Happy Hour offer and the Italian restaurant food was good.
Many tables didnt have full set of cutlery sets and even after asking them not proper action
As I didn’t get vegetarian food in lounge, there must be some good vegetarian food to serve

The food was not special compared with the accommodation rates paid and the prices of the meals
The restaurant is spacious and can accommodate everyone. The organization and variety of food are excellent.
The food and refreshments are excellent, but I would like to see more vegan options.

Dinner was cold and not fresh and boring and MUSIC WAS TOO LOUD
So I was to go to the restaurant as the lounge.
The food is wonderful and I would surely come back.

And the food in the club lounge is superb.
Restaurant food and room service food was lovely
And evening meal and snacks very good.

Transport: What guests say
View Crowne Plaza Dubai Deira by IHG43 relevant reviews
The hotel is close to the airport, often convenient for late arrivals or early flights, and has nearby metro and bus links. Guests also report easy taxi access, though others found taxis difficult to get and traffic heavy. Parking has no elevator to the lobby, so luggage must be carried up stairs; entry may require calling security.

Call a government taxi at reception—the flag-fall fare is 5 dirhams, and the rest is on the meter. For example, we paid 28 dirhams to the airport. If you like Uber, you’ll ride in a Lexus for 2.3 times the price.
There is no elevator from the parking area to the hotel, requiring guests to use stairs. This is extremely inconvenient if you have luggage or a sleeping child
Entering the parking there is no security for the entrance you have to contact the security to open the gate after explaing why you want to enter

Another major inconvenience was the lack of elevator access from the car park to the lobby, which meant guests had to carry their luggage up themselves.
So, make sure you drop your luggage off at the ground level main entrance to avoid any inconvenience.
Bus stop is within few meters which can be taken for metro though that is also walkable.

Only after a few days we found out we can get the hotel to pre-book a taxi.
It is very close and quick to reach after arriving at the airport late at night.
Close to the airport, with traffic jams, and quick pickup and return of the car.

The luggage didn't arrive. I had to go and get it myself after 30 minutes.
Lastly, the hotel is quite close to the airport which was also a plus.
U can take taxi easily to visit all city. Metro station is also naer.

This hotel is truly a transportation hub, making it perfect for budget travelers.
It has good public transport links, both with the Metro and the Bus
We had an early flight and arrived at 5.30am at the hotel

Close to the airport (but in an area with very bad traffic).
Good Value for Money! Green Line metro is at your doorstep
Easy access to Metro and quick taxi ride to airport

I arrived close to midnight because of my late flight
Quite difficult to get a taxi at the beginning too
Hard to get taxis and metro long distance ..

And my cab stopped at front of the hotel
Easy to access by public transport and or taxi.
I was charged on my return for the transfer.

It was also easy to get a taxi
Short distance to the metro station (600 m).
The convenient road access is a saving grace.

Bus service and taxis available outside hotel.
Even-though it was closer to the airport,
It’s not far from the airport.

Parking: What guests say
View Crowne Plaza Dubai Deira by IHG21 relevant reviews
Parking is generally available, with guests mentioning plentiful or free spaces and convenient, sometimes excellent valet service. However, valet may stop at midnight, and several guests report no elevator between basement parking and the hotel, leaving stairs as the only route. The parking area can also be confusing to navigate; one guest reported flooding.

— The parking area has no elevator to the reception or rooms, only stairs. This is bad because some guests are elderly or injured, making it difficult to go up and down.
The parking area needs a map to find it, and you have to use stairs with no elevator.
The hotel is confusing, with its elevators, and there is no elevator from the parking area.

Valet parking stops at 12:00 AM. After that, guests must park on their own.
There is no valet parking you have to park your car
Parking ( no elevator to use from basement parking )

We face difficulties while parking the car at the hotel
And they have a good basement parking for their guests.
There is also a car park and good parking service.

There is no Lift going to the basement parking.
Found the valet parking highly convenient
In the hotel parking lot.

And plenty of parking.
Parking at the hotel,
No Valet Parking.

Parking was good
Second: the parking
Valet parking service

Valet parking: Excellent.
Flooded parking lot
Free parking

Spa: What guests say
View Crowne Plaza Dubai Deira by IHG14 relevant reviews
Spa experiences were inconsistent: several guests reported the sauna, steam room, or jacuzzi were broken, closed, or unavailable despite being advertised, while others found the sauna clean and easy to use and praised the Thai massage. Check facility availability before booking.

There was no access to steam roomnor jacuzzi for me that was advertised on the website.
But the jaccuzi and the sauna didn't work when I stayed here.
Some facilities need maintenance, including the steam room and sauna

And sauna was clean and easy to use
The sauna in the pool area was broken,
The sauna is in the wellness spa.

Steam, and sauna were really good
The wellness center is indescribable.
No steam bath facilities,

Jacuzzi and sauna closed.
Jacuzzi was under maintenance
With saunas and hamam.

Excellent Thai massage.
Hot tub
Sauna!

Swimming pool and gym : I can't comment about the gym as it was closed due to some reconstruction.
The gym is a room with old equipment…
Gym was a little to hot is all

And gym equipments were at my satisfaction.
Fabulous 24 hr fitness gyms.
And gym are ok.

And gym.
