Crowne Plaza Dubai Marina by IHG Reviews: Everything Guests Say

We had such a fantastic time at the Crowne Plaza Dubai marina. It caters well for families and we would give it top marks for customer satisfaction.

Its a nice hotel but missing the normal grandeur you would expect from a 5* hotel in Dubai. At best it should be a 4* hotel.

I would highly recommend staying at this property and will love to stay here again on a future trip to Dubai.

We enjoyed our week long stay here and definitely would recommend staying in this hotel and area.

Having stayed at very expensive hotels in Dubai before and going for a more budget option.

This hotel turned out every bit as good as all of the reviews I read beforehand.

I'd like to thank the staff on the reception desk for a great welcome and quickly trying to rectify the booking cost discrepancy. We would like to offer a huge thank you to Hom. He took a proactive effort to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Hom hailed cabs, gave advice on the best way to get to our sight seeing locations and generally welcomed us every day with a huge smile and offer of help.

But when we reached none of the preferences given in advance were taken care of (all rooms on the same floor etc.) plus the lady at the reception "Monalisa" was not helpful (borderline rude) until she realised that I am also an IHG member.

The most memorable part of our stay was the customer service. We have travelled a lot and stayed in many hotels. Staff here were some of the best we've interacted with.

In our great help was a receptionist mr. Swaraj who helped us a lot with changing our room and provided us an extra bed.

A big shout out to Nahid for looking after our room so well. He was an absolute pleasure to deal with.

Everyone was helpful, polite and extremely friendly. Anything we required it was done there and then without any hesitation.

Great hotel with friendly and caring stuff. Joanna at the front desk was very helpful and accommodating. Thank you!

Staff is helpful and ready all the time. I want to thank Shiran for his kindness and prompt services.

And the manager Thilina was very helpful and went out of his way to give us training advice.

The manager at dinner time and breakfast staff (particularly Daniel) we're also role models of fantastic service.

The concierge was helpful when booking desert safari and the front desk are always welcoming.

The hotel is in a great location, right by the marina and its mall. But on the side away from the worst of the traffic, so much easier to get in and out of.

It is also in close proximity to Jumeriah Beach. There is a mall next door in walking distance, restaurants by the marina right outside the hotel, and overall a great location & property.

The view of the marina and Pier 7 was just wow- especially at night! Overall i would give this 10/10 for location to be near Dubai Marina

The location on the marina is fantastic, with a short walk to the marina mall, mini kids playgrounds and a nicer say 15 minute walk to JBR.

The location of the hotel is great, because it is on the Marina and is a 1 minute walk in the Marina to the Marina Mall.

It was close to the Metro, and the tram with easy access to the center of Dubai as well as the beach and Palm Jumeirah.

Plus is the location and easy access to the Marina Promenade, which is brilliant if you fancy a late night walk around the Marina.

The hotel is a 7 min walk from the beach and 2 min walk from the marina mall.

The weather was extremely hot

And in a great location.

And vicinity to Marina.

My only down side was my own expectations of getting upgraded. We payed more for a view on the Marina and we’re put in the corner sweet without a balcony.

However there was no power point for a hair dryer in the bathroom, which was was slightly annoying, only a power point for a shaver.

Premier room was good with a desk for a business traveller which isnt needed for a tourist visit so takes a lot of space.

I was taken aback that the hotel put an amazing cake and balloons into my room on my birthday.

We booked 4 rooms for a family get together for 27 nights in total

- high floor but great view of Marina Bay and I got it.

Even our room with “poor views” of the marina was perfectly fine.

Fridge in the room is not so great, never really got cold.

Our room was on the 10th floor and it was amazing.

Our room was clean and spacious and the bathroom was fantastic.

She plainly refused to offer all rooms on the same floor

My room was on 24th floor with amazing view to Marina.

But front desk wanted another 1000 AED more for balcony.

We had the Marina view suite and it was beautiful.

The food was nice and there was an array of choice at both breakfast and dinner time. There was also a nice sweet treat display for children every morning which was nice.

Breakfast is good, lots of options and great timings (available till 11am) but based on my experience of multiple other hotels in Dubai, I would probably only give 3/4* to the breakfast.

Every day at breakfast we was looked after by Ahmar who was probably one of the best member of staff there.

As we would come from breakfast we found ourselves looking around for Hom.

And the breakfast buffet was among the best i have been to.

Lunch/dinner were ordered from the half board menu and the selections were great and the food was the quality of a high class restaurant in the US.

We were ery glad we took the dinner option as the food was erygood and we were able to eat outside looking at the Marina.

The manager at dinner time and breakfast staff (particularly Daniel) we're also role models of fantastic service.

Even the Thai restaurant in the Laing were all just amazing.

And room service was awesome in preparation and flavours.

And the food at the Thai restaurant was delicious.

I also did enjoy the quality of the food

And the hotel was warm throughout the building. The elevators were very warm as well. Increase the air conditioning.

The lobby is a bit small, which doesn't give the grandiose Dubai feel.

We had club lounge included and it was fabulous

We did not go for the pool, but if you bring kids I would say this is the only down side.

Only downside was pool didn’t get a lot of sun - but we still enjoyed relaxing around the pool.

Will definitely be back for a winter trip as the only downside is no pool
