Reviews are sharply mixed: many guests praise spotless, well-maintained rooms, a peaceful atmosphere, helpful staff, and comfortable long stays, with a pool, lounge, buffet, shop, pharmacy, and café on site. Recurring drawbacks include a location outside central Dubai, dated bathrooms, slow or abrupt service, hygiene concerns, and frequent claims that it falls below five-star standards.

I booked the place at the last minute, 3 days before, on New Year's Eve, all the 5-star hotels in Dubai were very, very expensive, and I was looking for a hotel at a reasonable price, first time in this hotel for half board, and I was pleasantly surprised.
The Hotel in general was lovely and befitting of 5 stars however it is not in the best location, and there were a few things that didn’t sit right.
If this were a 4star hotel, I would review it with five stars. However, it's a five star hotel and thus im going to hold it to higher standards.

This was my second stay at the hotel, and just like my previous visit, it was once again a very pleasant and comfortable experience.
We were only supposed to catch a connecting flight at Dubai airport when the troubles broke out and we were taken here.
I will say it's my favorite five star hotel apartment and hotel rooms all perfect service clean breakfast as well all good.

If you are only going to need a bed to sleep in book here. Otherwise for comfort n cleanliness, try elsewhere.
Good hotel, good services, reasonably priced, service was a little slow at times but overall good experience, would stay here again.
I don’t know how it’s a 5 star hotel as it is quite average and low quality in different means.

All things considered, this is a solid and reasonably priced option if you are comfortable staying outside central Dubai.
The hotel does not match the description, the staff were cold, and the handling of money was dishonest.
I read great reviews of this place and that’s why I booked here, not gonna go there again.

Thanks for everything, I will definitely return and recommend it to other friends for their trip to Dubai.
Special mention goes to Akansha who is effervescent and goes over and beyond to make your stay pleasant.
Thank you, Vintage, for being our home from home! We would love to visit you again.

My stay was extremely disappointing and did not meet any expectations of a 5-star hotel.
What was planned as a three-week business trip turned into an almost five weeks stay!
Overall experience here was nice, they take care of you to have a great experience.

You stay here at your own risk being there are many better options in Dubai.
Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I would surely choose this hotel again.
I can absolutely not recommend this place to anyone looking for quality or comfort.

This hotel was listed as a 5star but in American standards it was 3.5.
The hotel was nice, a little bit out dated, but mostly nice accommodations.
This is not a 5 star hotel experience facility nor customer service.

The stay was comfortable and perfectly suited for a business trip.
I am staying here for a long time.
Don’t come thinking there is a traditional bar.

The hotel was spotless and well maintained.
Thank you so much for your hospitality.
I really liked the new design.

Staff: What guests say

Staff are most often praised as friendly, caring, professional, and responsive, with repeated recognition for Neelum, Imane, Pratima, Ali, and housekeeping teams. Guests highlight warm reception, attentive breakfast service, and practical help. However, some report slow or poor service, unwelcoming reception, repeated towel requests, unresolved issues, and missing Platinum Elite benefits.

Another thank you to Saud and Gulu from Rayna tourism company (they have an area in the main lobby of the hotel) who helped with booking tickets for the attractions such as Global village, Miracle garden, and butterfly garden.
Marriott seems to take on old underperforming hotels and managers them, this will not work as we are expecting Marriott service level but the mentality of staff is not there. Just an awful experience.
I would like to specially mention Sushila, the housekeeping assistant, She was very helpful and friendly and was always attentive in keeping the room neat and tidy and was consistently helpful.

I would like to say special thanks to Ms Neelam Guest Relation Officer who is such a nice and solution provider person always smiling and polite towards guests
A special shout-out to Maybeen for taking such great care of us these past two weeks — thank you for making us feel so safe and supported!
At the reception there was Neelum, an exceptional, kind and professional person with whom we checked in very quickly and who was always available to us.

From the moment you walk in, they welcome you with genuine smiles, professionalism, and a positive attitude that instantly makes you feel comfortable and valued.
I am always happy to meet your friendly staff Brenda, Yu and Kalyani at the lobby lounge they are super stars and very helpful.
However, the junior level staff is courteous, but people at the senior level seems indifferent and do not pay attention to small little things.

Special thanks to Neelum, Claudyn, and Emane for their wonderful hospitality, and appreciation to the whole team for making my stay memorable.
I would like to special thanks to Neelum Guest Relation for the excellent customer service which I get every time from her.
The customer service would not pick up the phone overnight which is a big safety hazard in case someone had an emergency.

I would like to sincerely thank Fatima, Swapnil, and Chef Hasan for their kindness, helpfulness, and excellent service throughout my stay.
The house keeping takes the towels and forgets to replace them and sometimes wont even put soap/shampoo if you use it
Spoke to the duty manager Ahmed, no real solution came tru, as the other room offered was small and stinky.

All the staffs were so kind and nice except one reception staff whose name was Anila(?) or Anita Indian lady.
She was incredibly professional, friendly, and went out of her way to assist us with all our questions.
I had to carry everything myself, which was really difficult, especially as a woman handling heavy bags.

Reception was there at all hours to print out documents and assist with extending our stay.
They way he treated with me in regard of my luggage sort out was unbelievable.
We swopped family stories (he was about to go on home leave to Kerala).

Their dedication and friendly approach truly reflect the high standards of the hotel.
Truly the best receptionist team in Dubai at Grand Vintage Hotel Dubai!
I would like to special mention for Neelum from guest relations.

Concierge was also very good to work with and well organized
Could not assist a stranded guest during the night
The front desk staff were very welcoming and professional.

Had to call reception several times for new towels
The cleaning staff is also helpful and kind
Nice hotel with a very nice staff

Rooms: What guests say
View Vintage Grand Hotel Dubai37 relevant reviews
Apartments are frequently described as huge, spacious, comfortable, and well air-conditioned, with some guests praising daily housekeeping. However, repeated complaints mention dirty or musty-smelling rooms, dampness, mold, leaking showers, clogged sinks, broken fixtures, uncomfortable beds, dark dated interiors, road or lobby noise, and inconsistent cleaning, towels, replenishment, and room-service response.

The upkeep in terms of aesthetic and condition of the apartment needs to be looked at - the sofa in our room was ripped and old and felt a little grubby.
It did arrive later after a wait of about two hours, but it was old, unstable and on wheels, which was disappointing for a relatively new Marriott affiliated property.
Unfortunately, the first thing we noticed there was cleaning equipment left in plain sight near the toilet entrance on the mezzanine, which did not create a good first impression.

We had to ask for a bed to be put in our room for our daughter, despite the fact the room was booked for 3 people!
Room was excellent as I got an executive suite for the price of a standard double room, however the overall experience missed the X factor!
The apartment building lobby felt dated, closer to something from the 1990s, with small retail outlets selling miscellaneous items displayed on utilitarian metal shelving.

The room itself was dark and the colour of the furniture along with everything else in the apartment, didn't help the light.
Simple requests such as extra towels or general questions required multiple calls and some patience before reaching the right department.
Hassan kept our apartment clean, made up our beds with great bedlinen and kept us well supplied with bottled water.

The shower door couldn’t close properly so water would run outside the shower and make puddles on the bathroom floor.
The apartment itself was spacious and comfortable, with very effective air conditioning and plenty of room to move around.
Lalit, the housekeeping assistant, who was always attentive in keeping the room neat and tidy and was consistently helpful.

I could even reach the towels as they were at least 6 foot up the wall, maybe more.
We called for it to be repaired and after 3 calls they sent someone but it wasn’t fixed.
Our room was comfortable, clean, and well-appointed, providing the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring.

There wasn't a great view from the room but the space was plenty for a single user.
I had to ask twice to get the bed as well which didn’t aid my mood.
Our room had a carpet “wet” smell and the shower leaked water all over the floor.

I asked for a new room because no solution was offered and still was shut down.
The room is nice and clean however it's so noisy u can hear the lobby music
Housekeeping came everyday to make sure my room was clean and that I had fresh towels.

We had a kitchenette with no cooking utensils, pots, pans, etc.
The rooms weren't that clean and very limited items available.
The bathroom door was broken and water was leaking.

We had an apartment which was massive.
The Hotel provided us with beautiful suites.
Water pressure in shower was low…

The staff didn’t clean room daily.
Room service was effectively nonexistent.
Beds are super uncomfortable.

Facilities: What guests say

Facilities include a supermarket, 24-hour pharmacy, laundry, parking, pool, gym, sauna, steam room, restaurants, lounge and café. Guests often found the property clean, but facilities were dated; recurring complaints included insufficient towels and toiletries, delayed housekeeping, poorly equipped kitchens, limited dining, unclean dining areas and construction noise.

Only wish if they give us more than 1 towel per person per day... we had 4 people, 4 towels and that is it. We asked for more and they said no.
The kitchen was poorly stocked with equipment, had to go buy a mixing bowl for scrambling eggs and only 3 plates were provided with no way to clean them.
Overall, the place was clean and had many amenities that we utilized such as a big pool, two restaurants, lounge, cafe, pharmacy, and a store that had everything.

The pharmacy provided us with prompt advice, antibiotics and useful tips for contact lens wearers in the UAE - an eye bath!
The two towers were pretty much identical but one was an apartment and one was the actual hotel.
Brenda, Heidi and Su showed us where to find products in the well-stocked store inside the hotel.

No shed to stay when it’s hot it’s even hot if you sit at the lobby
We had WiFi the whole 7 days we were there, shower was nice, AC nice temperature.
Housekeeping staff cleaned well but look a long time to get to our room (5pm).

We will certainly be using this hotel again that will include the conference facilities.
Overall, very average, limited dining options, noisy construction is happening in the building.
We enjoyed the Al Mawal lounge where they served hookah(Shisha) and alcoholic drinks.

It has so many facilities like 24 hours pharmacy and room service.
Same few movies played repeat, after a week it got really old.
Universal outlet adapter provided did not fit a standard U.S. Laptop plug.

The facility is clean but too far from the center.
Place is clean, gym and sauna and steam is good
The engineering department arrived promptly to attend to matters.

The hotel has a supermarket, pharmacy, laundry services, parking.
Not enough towels provided and no face towels available.
They even brought us a new washing machine.

Lack of condiments for us as five guests
I was distressing and enjoying the amenities
Rooms cleaned but towels never replaced

The dining area is not clean.
Standard mini grocery store in hotel.
The facilities were outdated.

No shower gel everyday
Very neat and clean.
Toilet rolls low everyday.

Location: What guests say
View Vintage Grand Hotel Dubai16 relevant reviews
The hotel is roughly 25–30 km from central Dubai and 6–8 km from Jumeirah, with little to walk to and weak public-transport access. Highway 44 offers fast driving access, and complimentary shuttles help. The location suits guests with cars or taxis, but is inconvenient for sightseeing without them.

The hotel sits well outside central Dubai, roughly 25 to 30 km from the city and around 6 to 8 km from the Jumeirah area.
The hotel is located on Highway 44, so it was easy to get to all the main places very quickly (20 minutes).
Hotel's location is not that great as its away from all the tourist places and not near any major public transport.

It’s not a convenient place for public transportation but it did work well having a car or taking a cab
The location was not so convenient, but it was ok to take a taxi to go to those visiting spots.
One clear positive is the complimentary shuttle service to various locations, which is very useful given the hotel’s location.

If you are planning to visit Abu Dhabi or other areas it’s kinda closer.
The Location is good but not the best during the season (little crowded)
Very nice hotel all what you need is there pharmacies pool minimart restaurant

There was nothing much around the hotel like coffee shop, restaurants and etc.
The area around the hotel is under development and it not walkable.
Suiable for travellers with their own cars or taxi users.

Convenient for my work place of Dubai Sports city.
The main advantage of this hotel is the location.
It was close by a mall 14 min walk.

The location is not good … long drive
We would recommend this place for your stay.
We met people from Nigeria, London, Nepal.

Plus is it’s close to the highway.
Location is not great but ok.
Nothing to see.

Great location

We tried the restaurants we spent $100 almost and the food was not cooked properly we could'nt eat.
High-level dinner, and even free soft drinks, the New Year's dinner is no shame from chef restaurants.
Iftar buffet was delicious was many variety of food ouzi and shawrma was very good and sweet.

Vintage Grand Hotel cafe is an amazing place to sit down and do some work in privacy.
The Lobby Lounge Café is fantastic, offering a variety of coffees, teas, and a healthy menu.
The Fusion Restaurant offers an amazing spread—one of the best I’ve experienced—with delightful live stations.

Dinner buffet is very expensive and the food is very average not enough choices.
The food was great throughout my stay and everything tasted fresh and delicious.
The food was great throughout my stay and everything tasted fresh and delicious.

The lobby café has good sandwiches but below average drinks and coffee
The food is always amazing and they make exceptional frappes.
Food quality was very good, and service was quick.

Food and beverage are excellent with oustanding service.

The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a wide range of fresh and delicious options.
Breakfast was served in a large dining area with a broad selection.
Western items such as eggs, breads, croissants and toast were done well.

The food and the breakfast is not a quality
Buffet breakfast was the best offering for food.
Idlis were undercooked and parathas lacked authenticity.

Indian options were less consistent.
Overall, breakfast was still satisfactory.
The breakfast is really good.

Some problems with breakfast buffet,
Buffet wasn't very kid friendly.
Breakfast buffet is good.

Rich breakfast.

Overall, the place was clean and had many amenities that we utilized such as a big pool.
Thank you to the lifeguards for keeping the water and the surrounds in such good condition.
We booked this hotel through Booking.com because it claimed to have a swimming pool.

But when we arrived, there was no pool at all — complete false advertising.
The pool and spa are very relaxing, especially after a long day of sightseeing.
I saw but did not visit the pool and tennis court and basketball court.

The listing said there’s a swimming pool — there was none.
The pool and the gym were our refuge.
In reality, there was no pool.

Pool barely sees the sun.
Pool closed at 7pm
Cold swimming pool.

When we went to check in the front staff said the system had gone down and they were unable to check us in and it would take about 20 mins.
They never mentioned a deposit. At check-in we were charged 500 AED, gave $200 in cash, and got it back at a terrible exchange rate — we lost money.
Check in to the apartment hotel was a mission, only one computer working and staff overwhelmed. Took over 25 minutes with me doing an online check in.

My room was only check-in at 3pm but front desk Neelum she was the best, could get me a room early.
They took a $200 cash deposit, and upon check-out, said they would return it in dirhams.
Reception was there at all hours to print out documents and assist with extending our stay.

They gave it back using a low exchange rate of 3.5, so we lost money.
It started with the reception, and I even received an upgrade.
An hour later we insisted that they check us in manually.

Checked in and checked out was very swift and welcoming.

The other thing that grated was that they wouldn’t provide an airport shuttle more than 24hrs in advance, saying they didn’t have the manpower therefore we had to get a taxi.
I love the free shuttle services to the beach and malls.
The hotel also provides a convenient shuttle bus service.
