To keep the analysis focused on meaningful feedback, we left out 2,057 reviews that contained little or no specific information.

This was my second time here, and it’s somewhere I’d like to visit again! Thank you for my son’s birthday cake and all the wonderful surprises!
This was our second time staying at this property, This time we brought along friends that were going on the same cruise as us.
Because we booked through Booking, we did not receive various upgrades. There was a much cheaper deal on their website than on Booking.

The Fairmont is a very luxurious hotel, we had an amazing time there but they have 2 issues they need to fix!
It truly felt like a home away from home. Highly recommended for families looking for comfort, convenience and a great location 👍🏼
In comparison to the price , its way massively overpriced. Among all Fairmont branches worldwide , this was the worst .

They are probably a key reason why we would consider coming back, even if we didn't fully appreciate our room setup.
We were happy with the overall stay although we probably wouldn't stay longer than a couple of days in the future.
All in all, I had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend The Fairmont to anyone wanting somewhere special to stay.

For us, it was the ultimate oasis of well-being, and we would choose it again if we return to Singapore.
Very pleasant, luxury stay with Gold lounge access. Great to wind down after a European holiday.
Our stay at Fairmont Singapore was nothing short of outstanding from start to finish.

If we come to Singapore again, we would 100% visit this hotel again.
The Fairmont was an excellent choice when travelling with two small children.
Honestly one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had in Singapore.

I can't fault it. Loved this hotel. Would stay there again.
Would definitely recommend this hotel to stay at in Singapore
Overall we couldn’t fault our stay, absolutely loved it

Excellent location and facilities; lacked acceptable customer service
Very nice hotel with a very high standard.
No complaints. Very satisfied with the stay.

Everything you need in a beautiful hotel
Everything was perfect! See you again soon!
Pleasant stay, would visit back in future.

It was a great stay overall
There was absolutely nothing to criticize
Overall, the accommodation experience was good.

The whole Fairmont experience was exceptional.
Lovely stay in a great hotel
I would stay here again.

While the room set up was good and we appreciated being in one of the more newly renovated rooms, we felt that more attention was given to style vs substance. There wasn't very much space for us to put our bags / hang up clothes, for example. Shelves were used for decorative vases. There wasn't a proper door for the shower, which was so awkwardly located that it was easy for water to spill over into the main sink area. There was only one proper functioning outlet (under the TV) - the bedside console featured only 2 USB outlets so we couldn't charge our phones next to the bed (incompatible with USB C and we needed more than one dock). All of these meant that we probably wouldn't choose this hotel for longer stays with our family.
We are a family of four. I booked the room because it was described as 'two double beds', thinking two people on each bed would sleep... but when we entered the room, I couldn't believe my eyes. Beds were quite small. Definitely two people wouldn't be able to sleep on it. Luckily there was a roller bed arranged, so I decided to sleep on it and let my daughters sleep together on the 'double bed' as their bodies were smaller than adults. Against my hope, they couldn't sleep, being on the edges, they were screaming, shouting and crying.
Couch uncomfortable. Table was wrong. Either couch and coffee table or table and chairs. Also needs a large luggage pedestal under and beside TV for a large suitcase so it does not have to be open on ground. You should try negotiating 2 carry on baggage plus two big checked bags for 2 people. Very hard. Really try it yourself.

We upgraded, on their recommendation, to a room which was bigger and had nicer view (both of which were true and appreciated) but as a family of 4 the suggestion that the bed is a sofabed was not accurate- far to short for anyone including children to sleep on. Trundler beds were supplied instead and worked well.
The door on my room was missing the extra security lock/bar. Travelling alone I do prefer that there is a chain or lock apart from the one on the actual door handle lock. Looked like it had been removed but never replaced. The second lock on the door handle sometimes did not engage properly.
You can't change the thermostat lower than 21C and when you get out of the room the AC turns off and yoh have to restart it and wait for a while for the room too cool off. Singapore is to hot to have to deal with waiting for the room too cool off?!

The minibar was another issue - a tiny rack at the bottom was all we were allowed for personal use, and if we had to move anything else, it would have been electronically recorded and charged to our room.
The room—especially the view—was perfect. The room was a very good size and absolutely clean! Everything I expected was there. The bed and sofa were comfortable! The bathroom was very modern and extremely clean.
As we were staying as a group of four, we requested connecting rooms several months in advance and received a positive response, but the request was not reflected.

At check in, the reception team attended to all my requests with ease including upgrading my room to a Salon Suite on the 26th floor.
There are too few closets for clothing. Even though we had a very large room, we were unable to unpack our suitcases.
Waken by another doorbells sounds and banging of doors at 11 plus at night , to reply it was next door.

Room was great but aircon did not go below 20o. With the duvet, it was very hot at night.
You are not provided enough space to get your own drinks / food that you want to store.
I stayed twice in one month, first on the 10th floor and then on the 21st...

The size of the room for a family of 4 was fantastic including the bathroom.
The size of the room, and best of all the water pressure in the shower!!
Very comfortable bed, large room, good sized shower. Slippers provided were very comfortable.

Pillow in the room were a bit too soft for my liking
Bed was comfy and in room amenities were what you would need.
Room was very comfortable, great turn down service in the evening.

The rooms need modernising with USB-C chargers and more powerpoints.
Great to have your own balcony with an incredible view.
It feels like they selected design and aesthetics over functionality.

The rooms have a view and are very comfortable.
Very clean. Good choice of shampoo, body cream brand.
The room was well furbished, with a great taste.

The room was spacious, well thought out and comfortable.
Good view from balcony, room clean and comfy
The zip tap in the room didn't work.

The location is simply unbeatable. With direct access to the MRT, getting around Singapore is effortless, even with kids. On top of that, several major shopping malls and dining options are just a short walk away via the covered overpass, making it incredibly convenient regardless of the weather. Everything you need is literally at your doorstep.
The hotel is connected to a large shopping mall, which has both TWG and Bacha Coffee, as well as Din Tai Fung, a restaurant the children were accustomed to eating at, so it was a great help when we were tired.
It was very convenient to get to the metro. However, we only figured out on the fourth day that there was direct access inside to the metro and the neighboring hotel. Perhaps this could be signposted more clearly.

Also, I was able to take care of all my souvenir shopping (Bacha, Bee Cheng Hiang, etc.) and other shopping at once at the mall connected to the hotel, and the connection to the hotel was convenient.
The hotel being connected to Raffles City and being able to walk through this for shopping, food and access to the MRT was convenient and great to seek cooling when it’s hot/humid outside.
Very central, with a highly central location, directly connected to Raffles City shopping mall and City Hall MRT station, and just a few minutes’ walk from Boat Quay and Clarke Quay.

The location was fantastic, joined to a mall with a great food court for the kids, a short walk to the train network and the perfect base to explore from.
The location is absolutely perfect! We could walk to almost everything – Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay, restaurants, shops, and MRT stations were all within easy walking distance.
The location was perfect for what we wanted; it had easy access to retail; it sits on top of a three story mall and you can access other malls.

It was near Singapore’s national Museum and an easy reach of little India and little China; it also made accessing the gardens in the Bay Area very easy.
The location is absolutely amazing, minutes away from major attractions, restaurants & easy to get around, which made our trip with family so convenient and stress free.
Excellent location—the hotel has direct access to a shopping center with many shops and cafés. For those who enjoy walking, the attractions are within walking distance.

Location could not be better. Right in from of Marina and main amenities. Mall and metro were at walking distance indoor.
Great location, as it’s above a shopping centre access the to the food and shopping is a breeze.
The hotel is very convenient for the city and moving around, as I knew when I booked.

The hotel was close to shops and there was restaurants everywhere. Walking distance to all attractions.
The hotel is connected to a shopping center, and a nice one too.
But for convenience and access to the city it works very well.

Perfect central location with everything within walking distance – highly recommended!
A magnificent view of the marina from the windows 👍.
To the location—close to everything, including the metro station nearby

With amazing views of Marina Bay & the light shows
The location and view from our balcony was exceptional.
It is somewhat more expensive, but this is Singapore.

This was a terrific hotel in a great location.
If you love Singapore you will love Fairmont!
Singapore is our favourite place to visit

Great location to visit the city
The multilevel shopping center below it…
Close to everything. Walking distance

My daughter turned 5 on this trip and the exceptional housekeeping lady left us with a handwritten note wishing my daughter a happy birthday, and a fairmont little cuddly toy, Thank you Shwe Sin for making our stay that much more special. Thank you for your hard work and passion and the smiles you brought to every interaction with our children. Thank you!!
From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed. Every interaction was warm, professional, and attentive including a birthday cake for my wife’s birthday. The team consistently went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Their friendliness and eye for detail truly set this hotel apart.
The Team in the Gold Lounge were amazing! We were made to feel at home and their attention to detail was incredible. Thank you to manager Sam, June, James, Simon, Hamza, Jeremiah, Jess, Auntie Nancy and Sally.

Special mention about the Concierge who went out of his way to help me find medical facilities and arrange taxis for me after I badly damaged my finger while opening the balcony door in my room.
The young man and woman at the front desk were incredibly kind. I only understand a few English words, but they took the time to explain things carefully using a translation app without acting annoyed.
I used the concierge email to ask them to print me out my concert ticket and it was done and delivered to my room within about 10 minutes late at night which was greatly appreciated.

Hotel would not comp a one night refund, despite numerous requests to do the same . Another hotel nearby empowers their employees to make customer service decisions that guarantees a guest’s requests if reasonable.
1) Email and app messages: addressed me as "Mr. Norfaizah". You shd know if the name has a Bte means female. Do you just assume that all bookings will be done by a man?
She kept trying to explain that we could pay even more money just to move “slightly higher,” even though we had already paid a very expensive rate for this supposedly “larger” room category.

When I asked if there was a small cake available for my daughter’s birthday, they graciously sent one to our room as a complimentary gesture — we were so touched.
Even the staff at the main entrance who helped with our luggage and arranged taxis made every interaction feel heartfelt and left us feeling uplifted each time we passed by.
Everything was wonderful! The staff were very friendly and available throughout the entire stay. Many thanks to the lounge manager, Syak, and her team: Jess, Alan, Maya, and June.

I truly felt that every staff member genuinely took joy in delighting their guests. From the reception to the bell staff, everyone was warm and attentive.
Nevertheless, the staff did their best and assigned us connecting rooms on site, but we prefer higher floors, so we simply
The staff were great in providing a car to take us to another local hotel to use their pool.

We were always served in a friendly and courteous manner, whether at breakfast or during happy hour.
I felt that the staff were friendlier than at the hotel I had stayed at previously.
I have raised complaint with the hotel but did not get any response

All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was a bother.
We were not made aware of this at any stage.
The staff are always polite & happy to help

The service was perfect, both personal and friendly.
And they were very kind to do so.
The staff are very polite and attentive.

Staff was very helpful and warm .
Staff perfectly attentive to all our requests.
And fabulous staff nothing was a problem

The Anti-Dote bar staff were very friendly.
Poor customer service especially at restaurants
Thank you for looking after me.

I asked where I could find ice for drinks, and they said, “We’ll bring it to your room!” I waited, but it never came……… I asked again the next day, but it still didn’t come. It was already around the time the supermarket was closing, so I pressed them once more, and it finally arrived an hour later (・_・; A different staff member from the front desk brought it, but I really wish they had handled that properly… Such a shame.
We were a little disappointed because we traveled with two children, and the reception informed us that the lion soft toy is only provided for travel agency bookings.
The property was connected to a shopping center and all the dining options available as a mini "Hawking Center" in the mall's basement levels.

Since our return flight was at night, we were able to use the shower in the hospitality room, which was very helpful.
We did not realise until the next day when all our drinks were warm and our protein shakes went bad,
The facilities of the hotel sometimes had an unpleasant smell and I recommend use a little bit of air fresheners.

Neither of these are major issues and definitely wouldn't stop us from staying here again but just be aware.
It was very impressive that there was a space where we could relax comfortably even after checking out,
We were also offered the hospitality lounge since we had a late flight, which was excellent (showers etc.).

Perhaps because of that, the two items I had requested had not arrived by the next day,
They had all a few additional items like high chair, steriliser for our kids' stuff. Amazing!
We booked a room with lounge access, which proved to be very advantageous and special.

Liked the sustainable features the hotel provided ice cold water or hot water as needed.
The hotel was not kid friendly. There was no areas for children to amuse themselves.
Very quick turnaround for the problem we had with our sink stopper and AC.

Classier interior than Swissotel, but lower down so the view is not as good.
The overall environment was very nice and comfortable, and the scenery was also excellent.
A high chair, cot and step were very promptly arranged for our kids.

Unfortunately, the bar in the lobby was permanently closed for a private event
Tap water is always giving hot water although the heater is off .
(the lounge was very nice and the service there really efficient and caring)

The lounge is too small for such a 5 star hotel.
A hotel of this calibre could have a kids’ area.
Paying extra for gold lounge access was worth it.

The elevator always arrives after a few seconds!
The club lounge and staff were excellent.
Location and facilities outside the actual hotel.

It is modern and recently renovated
Location and facilities are very good.
Facilities and staff are excellent.

Getting a cup of tea during breakfast was really difficult; I had to ask at least twice and one morning three times, and it took 5-10 minutes to arrive. A system needs to be implemented to provide hot drinks.
The Prego restaurant offers an excellent buffet breakfast. It is often crowded, and queues are the norm during peak hours, although the staff are very efficient and the waiting time is relatively short.
The breakfast is amazing they have two restaurants for breakfast, the Asian market for halal food ( which I highly recommend) as well as the international buffet which was nice as well.

Breakfast at “Prego” (one of the restaurants) was wonderfully varied: fresh egg dishes (show cooking), fresh fruit, various types of muesli, freshly squeezed orange juice, gluten-free dishes, and various coffee specialties.
Breakfast—brilliant. Everything was delicious and fresh. An incredible selection, including soups, pasta, pierogi, etc. There were also plenty of vegetables and fruit, which is not often encountered.
The service at the breakfast was too slow. 20 Minute wait to get the dishes removed or another cup of coffee is way too long.

The Asian Market Café, the hotel’s other breakfast option, did not meet the hotel’s five-star standard, with the space and decor appearing old and tired.
My table was cleared twice because I was away from my seat for just 2 minutes and the staff thought I was finished.
There are 2 breakfast buffets, the first being Prego (Italian themed restaurant in the ground floor) and the second being Asian Market Cafe.

We were charged for breakfast again even we paid on Booking.com and our rooms were each for 2 adults including breakfast.
Breakfast was excellent with variety of options and the extra touches like separate plates & cutlery for children was very nice.
We had a very early flight, and the restaurant staff prepared breakfast boxes for us to take with us.

Whilst there are certain foods offered at each, the standard hotel breakfast buffet foods are found at both.
The service at breakfast was too fast; the staff could take things a little more slowly here.
We were always served in a friendly and courteous manner, whether at breakfast or during happy hour.

Breakfast was fantastic. The choice of two breakfast choices was great. One western. One Asian. Great variety
Two restaurants are open for breakfast, offering a very good selection, so you definitely won't go hungry.
It was good, needs a lot more seats though. Selection of food available was fantastic.

There was also a great deal of choice at breakfast, and everything was delicious.
An excellent breakfast is served in the club lounge in the morning,
Breakfast was awesome and staff did all required to make it brilliant.

Breakfast was amazing, good food, lots of options and a great ambiance.
The breakfast was very good; there was something to eat for everyone.
A choice of 3 restaurants for breakfast, with a huge selection.

Breakfast at Prego was good - decent selection but quite busy.
Very friendly staff and an extensive breakfast
Excellent breakfast in the Gold lounge.

They prepared breakfast for me.
Very tasty and varied breakfast.
Breakfast spread was superb

Pool/bar staff were abit of a disappointment . They could brush up on there customer service skill and pay abit more attentiin to the cleaniness around the pool taking into account this was a 5 star hotel.
ALSO THE MAIN SWIMMING POOL WAS CLOSED BECAUSE THEY WERE BUILDING A NEW POOL THE ONLY POOL THAT WAS AVAILABLE WAS A BABIES POOL WHICH ONLY ANKLE DEEP
The pool area was exactly what we needed - it was relaxing & fun, plenty of places to sit either in the sun or shade

Unfortunately, the pool was closed for renovation; only the knee-deep children's pool was open. Naturally, the vacationers with their children almost overcrowded the pool.
With a pool that was perfect for children under 8 and a larger pool for the older kids and grown ups.
2- The Swimming pool temperature is really cold , needs a few degrees top up ( even with solar heating ).

This is not a hotel to book if you want a chilled out stay sitting around a pool
Not a huge deal breaker - the kids pool was fantastic and enough to get us through.
Just happens to be the timing of it but the main pool was shut due to works.

Pool was very busy when we visited and not very appealing, but it was a weekend.
They offered an alternative hotels pool which was too small and had hardly any beds.
Pool was great, especially for our youngest, and plenty of varied seating areas around it.

The pool area on the Saturday afternoon was far too busy and crowded.
It seems that the hotel sells days / memberships tickets to the pool
The pool area didn’t get much sun. It was often in the shade

We did not use the pool, which seemed a little small and crowded.
AS THIS POOL REPLACEMENT WOULD OF BEEN PLANNED MONTHS BEFORE OUR BOOKING
Pool was so nice especially good that they had a child's pool.

Pool prices for simple drinks such as a Coke are unacceptable
The main pool Was having a revamp and out of order.
Not the same been told we could use another hotels pool

Big pools with lots of lounges to relax and cool off.
The pool area is great and has good opening hours.
The swimming pool was closed for extensive building work.

Happy hour at the pool bar was amazing 🤩.
Great pool area with plenty of lounge chairs.
Pool facilities & pool bar was very enjoyable.

Staff service and pool was excellent !
Disappointed the pool was not available
Pool is quite small and packed.

Since we arrived in the morning, we asked for an early check-in. Although no room was available at the time, they said they would email us as soon as one was ready, and we were able to check in at 1:30 p.m., which was a great help.
We found out at check-in that connecting rooms were not possible with the same room type (two king rooms), and that we should have booked a combination of a king room and a room with two double beds.
Immediately after check-in, one of the room key cards would not unlock either the elevator security system or the room door, so we had to get assistance at the front desk.

When we came back around 7 PM, exhausted, we discovered that the receptionist had actually meant 3 PM the NEXT DAY because of her poor English communication.
The check in was smooth and they have given us the room right away though we arrived quite earlier than the standard check-in time without any charge
At check in, the reception team attended to all my requests with ease including upgrading my room to a Salon Suite on the 26th floor.

I asked not to be put near lifts and was put right behind them despite the check-in person lying to me.
The moment we entered the room, we immediately went back downstairs to request a change because the situation was unacceptable.
The situation became even more ridiculous because we were told another room would be ready for us at 3 PM.

Before my arrival, I had requested a specific room—and to my surprise, I was given exactly that room at check-in!
The staff upgraded us to the next category and were kind to accept our request for a late checkout.
It was very impressive that there was a space where we could relax comfortably even after checking out,

Staff very helpful and everything explained well on arrival and late check out arranged fit a nominal fee
I was a little disappointed that my request to be on the 21st floor could not be accommodated,
Everything went perfectly well from the beginning (nice and efficient people at the reception) to the end

But the self check in took away the warmth of a personal welcome and felt too automated.
Hello! We are all Singaporeans! And when we check in, still asked for passport! Please wake up!
We left the hotel for half the day specifically to give them time to prepare it.

Had to wait a while in queue to check in. Reception counters frequently had long queues.
Delivery of birthday cake at check out date at 1151am when check out is 1200.
Such as late check-out and, above all, notifying us when the room is ready.

When I told them that I would be checking out early in the morning,
And the arrival procedure was not as smooth as it should have been.
Although it’s quite busy in the lobby the staff checked us in quickly

Warm welcome checking in, was told about everything we needed to know
THEY SAID THEY UPGRADE WAS CANCELLED 10 DAYS BEFORE CHECK IN
Great stopover made easier by late check out and staff attentive

Check in was poorly managed and they mixed up our reservations.
They arranged an early check-in as a room was available.
Check-in and interactions with the staff were excellent.

The only criticism is that the barista coffee at Prego was not nice. The milk wasn't frothed properly, and the coffee was either very watery or tasted like warm milk.
And in the evening there is a variety of drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and a light dinner. Over several days, the selection changed, and everything was very tasty.
We particularly enjoyed the tapas bar on the ground floor , the staff here were very friendly and happy to advise on wines and cocktails .

The exquisite food and drinks, and would like to thank you once again for the wonderful stay at the Fairmont Hotel Singapore!
We ordered room service a couple of times and the food was very good too with lots of options.
May I politely suggest you buy commercial toasters for restaurant in place of the household toasters you use.

(to access the restaurant), which was a bit annoying though it was not more than 10-15 minutes.
Great hotel, great stay. The only downside is that all the restaurants close before 9 p.m.
Special thanks to Amy and Jaya in the restaurant. Senior waitresses were super, as well!

We all really disappointed about the stay, did not like the food at all.
The other two hotels connected to it that opened up their restaurants and bars…
The coffee in the restaurants. The auto machines in restaurants not so great.

We especially liked the food and drink there, it was so good.
As the restaurant was always very busy, it was a little hectic.
The hotel food was a bit pricey but good.

The room dinning service was excellent
Asian Market is over-rated. Nothing special.
Restaurants offered variety of food

Of the restaurants' available hours
Food was really disappointed.
Skai restaurant was exceptional

Food choices lovely

On top of City Hall MRT but we didn't find that super useful for where we wanted to go (Gardens by the Bay, Kampong Glam). However buses nearby and places very close with a taxi so cost about ~$10 to catch a taxi somewhere.
The MRT subway system station was also directly accessible with a station through the shopping center basement which we utilized during the trip.
I was there to swim in the masters world championships and it made access to the competition venue very easy for me.

On our stay there we found that it was very easy to get around as it sits on top of the metro.
Direct connection to the MRT—this made all the sights very easy to reach on foot or by train.
And you could access city hall MRT through there without having to set foot outside.

Communication for our luggage pickup at 3:45AM in the morning could have been better.
The location is ideal, directly in the hotel by metro from Changi Airport,
Had travel difficulties getting to Singapore through no fault of our own.

But free taxi to go to another hotel to use the pool
2) Sent me messages asking me to bring passport and flight details.
When there was a traffic jam, the Grab fare increased considerably.

The taxis were packed because of F1, but it was fun!
Ordered a taxi and luggage for departure at reception. Neither happened.
Easy to get to by metro from the airport.

Even worse that we arrived in a hotel car
Easy connections by MRT to the whole island
Plus own arrangements for transport

The Willow Day Spa was a wonderful experience with very helpful staff, and a great massage and time to relax and enjoy some tea.
And we didn’t use it but the spa and sauna were split into genders and for only 18 and above.
It was disappointing that there wasn’t an option for families.

The spa is amazing and very warm
And spa.
Steam room

The gym was probably one of the best hotel gyms I have had the pleasure to work out in. I loved it.
The Gym has space for more equipment.
Pool and gym in perfect condition.

Very well equipped gym.
Best hotel gym
