Reviews repeatedly praise Artyzen’s distinctive modern design, lush greenery, spacious comfortable rooms, cleanliness, friendly service, rooftop pool, and quiet yet convenient Orchard location. Many call it a standout boutique hotel and plan to return. Recurring reservations include high prices, service and rules falling short of luxury expectations, and mold reported by some guests.

I chose Artyzen because of it's design styling and helpful website, which won over somewhere with a better view of the South China Sea (although Artyzen's view from the pool deck is also fabulous).
Many hotels in Singapore are luxurious what is different is that Artyzen has a sense of its own style with attentive staff; superb rooms that are well furnished and a fantastic rooftop pool.
We had one night (21st Feb) and almost two full days in Singapore on our way to our holiday in NZ so decided to treat ourselves to a special hotel.

Everything has been thought out to the smallest detail, there has been no compromise on quality, even the hairdryer is a Dyson, and the robes and towels are top quality.
We were returning to Singapore for one final night at the end of our trip and switched hotels to book the Artyzen for one last night before we leave.
It has make an impression on us if ever in the near future we would like to stay in the vicinity, I’m assured that we will in good hands.

Overall we would definitely come back to this and recommend to anyone who’s looking for a hotel that makes sure you are taken care of.
Very well-kept, always clean. Nothing is left to chance, from the elevator to the plants present, to the finishes of the doors or walls.
If you're feeling tired of the usual 5-star hotels, staying at the characterful Artyzen Singapore is a great option.

Went to two other 5-star hotels after this for business and both were dull and soulless by comparison.
A superb elite hotel surrounded by lush greenery, eclectic amenities and superior design and architecture; brander toiletries
Stayed three nights as a perfect ending to 7 weeks in Thailand and Bali before flying home.

Honestly, the pictures on Booking.com are not even close to how stunning this property is.
A cold drink at the roof top bar after a long day was just perfect.
Lovely hotel design and staff, but mold is a problem in this hotel.

Extremely comfortable rooms and good service as would be expected for the price.
The design of the hotel, the rooms, and the common areas is amazing.
A modern and comfortable gem of a hotel just off orchard road

I was sorry to leave the Artyzen, and will definitely be back.
AMAZING hotel - best one we stayed in Singapore for sure.
The freshness is strong, and the artistic atmosphere is rich.

The experience turned out to be not very luxurious.
Good hotel but could do so much better
Whoever designed the hotel did an amazing job!

The room is spacious with ~5m ceilings.
Great roof top pool and cocktail selection.
The interior design was unique and interesting.

Super comfortable hotel with wonderful views
One of my best staycation ever.
The Artyzen Singapore is simply amazing.

Rooms: What guests say
View Artyzen Singapore111 relevant reviews
Rooms are repeatedly praised for spaciousness, striking heritage-inspired design, high ceilings, comfortable beds, balconies, views, and thoughtful amenities such as Dyson hairdryers and quality toiletries. However, some guests reported dust, mold odors, unclean towels, missed cleaning or replenishment, unreliable hot water, limited clothing storage, and occasional maintenance or technology problems.

One evening we left our room around 8pm and return around 9:30pm to find turndown service had been done which annoyed me as I left my suitcase open and unlocked so anyone could have gone through my clothes and bag while they were in the room (regardless if nothing was missing).
The rooms are clean and fresh, they are cleaned every day, there is a wonderful view of the city, it is quite quiet, they provide bottled water for free, as much as you ask for.
I find many hotels rooms can be bland and boring.. not the Artyzen ..it’s warm welcoming & friendly staff greeted us in a beautifully scented lobby that looked on t..

No hot water when we tried the shower again in the evening, and again by the time the technicians came up 15 minutes later hot water was somehow available
We’d booked a Premier Balcony King as I wanted a higher floor and I had requested an open view as didn’t want to look directly in to other buildings.
Room’s furnishing was fantastic, room felt very luxurious, and the quality of the in-room amenities were great, though we had a couple of issues - see below.

Both TVs were not connected to the hotel infotainment system when we checked in (no hotel info or menus, and no TV channels were hooked up)
No hot water when we tried the shower in the afternoon; by the time the technicians came up 15 minutes later hot water had somehow returned
There isn’t much of a view to begin with, but it’s odd to have the daybeds placed facing only plants that blocked the entire outdoor scene.

So beautifully decorated, with a huge incredibly comfy bed (and wonderful pillows) lots of mirrors so lots of light and a beautiful bathroom.
Very modern set up in the room with control for everything : curtain, blinds, good music speaker, diysons hairdryer... beautiful shower.
It would be helpful if this was made clear before booking by describing the Terrace rooms as with 'adjoining terraces'.

My daughter's room had an issue with the air-conditioner not working one night, however it was fixed promptly
Toilet bowl was creaking a lot and the lid slams shut very loudly whenever it’s closed.
And the towels were not clean and I smelled a terrible odor from them.

Only one bathrobe and that must have been meant for a tall man.
The bathroom is well appointed with ample towels, a bath and separate shower.
When the hotel cleaned my room they did not replace the sheets.

The room was cleaned regularly, allowing me to spend my time comfortably.
The cleaning was not done the second day in my room.
I did find a couple ants crawling around on the counter

Flushing system wasn’t great - it got stuck on flush once.
I loved the Dyson hairdryer too, such a great touch!
Beautifully decorated rooms, comfortable bed, bathtub to relax and unwind.

The room with the double high ceiling were magnificent.
This was for both the shower and bath tub.
The rooms were exceptionally clean and very beautiful.

Great interior and rooms with enormous high ceilings
The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-decorated.
Very well furnished room, clean and spacious.

Staff: What guests say
View Artyzen Singapore88 relevant reviews
Staff are most often described as friendly, welcoming, attentive, and willing to resolve problems, with repeated praise for Rachel, Carmen, and other named team members. However, service can feel below five-star standards, with inconsistent front-desk communication, absent doormen, rooftop attentiveness and plate-clearing issues, turn-down omissions, and unexplained security charges.

The receptionist asked me to pay for two nights even though I had already paid through the Booking program, but he kept delaying and wanted me to pay the amount again since it was not clear to him that I had paid in the system, which delayed my entry into the room.
Special mention must go to the young porter who was there on both our days, he was willing to help with anything and offered to arrange the free limousine service to take us to the Botanical Gardens when we were asking him for walking directions.. that was a definite treat!
For a luxury positioned hotel charging higher than average prices, the service was inconsistent, some of the staff felt like they were just following the SOPs and perhaps they were nervous but it felt like there was a lack of welcoming spirit esp with the front desk.

Everyone that we encountered was lovely but I would like to give special mention to Ly & Rachael at the front desk and Steve , the driver for the courtesy car.. we enjoyed many conversations with him.
A special mention to the gesture made by the hotel or shift manager who extended a 100 SGD credit to make up for a minor, out of control hiccup, I didn’t even ask for compensation.
The staff were great, we had an issue with the room on the first day and the staff acted quickly to resolve the issue for us and move us to another room which was perfect.

The hotel charged my credit card several hundred usd as security for items ordered during the stay without explaining other options (ie a lesser amount or simply paying for ordered items as you go).
As we walk across, we could hear the hotel staff raising their voices to speak to each other pretty rudely, which made us wonder if we booked a 5-star hotel or a 3-star one.
It's strange that there was no doorman to assist with luggage at check-in time of 3 pm but a couple of doormen hanging around the next day in the morning.

What really stood out was her genuine effort to go the extra mile — she even offered to upgrade our room and thoughtfully asked for our preference regarding the balcony.
Special thanks to Duty Manager Carmen, café staff Jess, Nina, and Yvonne, the rooftop bartender, and Mr. Philip — all of whom deliver outstanding service with genuine warmth.
I did not feel welcomed by the front desk staff — there was little acknowledgment or hospitality, which set a disappointing tone for the stay.

It’s hard to put into words how incredible this property truly is. From the staff to the pool and everything about it!
The reception area is a bit underwhelming, it looked like a back entrance but was actually the main one.
I would probably give it an 8 (largely earned by the staff) if it was a 4-star hotel.

May she continue to prosper in her role and rise to even greater heights in her career.
Staff were all super friendly and genuinely wanted to help make the stay as enjoyable as possible.
The staff was friendly, but we had to carry our own luggage during both check-in and check-out.

Everyone we met at the Artyzen were friendly and helpful and couldn’t do enough for us.
Rachel at the front desk was always willing to go that extra step in helping.
However, Carmen, the guest service manager, reached out to me to understand my concerns.

Saagar was really a cool guy with a good energy also extremely helpful.
Rachel is not only professional, but also warm, friendly, and attentive.
They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable.

She made sure we got everything that we need.
Very accommodating staff, courtesy car for short trips.
He helped make our stay very special.

Service was good in that respect.
The staff was friendly and attentive.
Need to improve staff services

Location: What guests say
View Artyzen Singapore69 relevant reviews
Excellent, central location just off Orchard Road, with shops, restaurants, MRT access, Botanical Gardens, and Dempsey Hill within walking distance. Guests particularly value the quiet, green residential setting and views. The main recurring drawback is nearby construction, audible during the day and sometimes from early morning despite closed windows; some find it slightly removed from central Orchard.

The hotel is located in an upscale residential area, just off Orchard Road, convenient to shopping and transportation but protected from the hustle of the busier parts of the city.
Location was good - it was near the shopping belt and many other malls, and yet away from the noise and bustle of the main road.
It’s definitely an oasis of calm and beauty.. it’s in the best location and we will definitely stay again if we ever return to Singapore!

The hotel is a little further away from the main areas, which we didn't mind as it was quiet and grabbing a taxi was easy.
Except that, there’s a construction site right beside the hotel, even the windows are all closed, you can still hear the noise from early morning.
Nowhere else in Singapore will you get a view like that that looks over the botanical gardens and the greenery of the north.

There were a couple of construction sites around the vicinity, so it could get a little noisy when you open the balcony window.
I chose the Artyzen mainly because of the location and the fact that it is within walking distance of the Botanical Gardens.
If you are looking for tranquility and luxury after bustling days in the Orchard Rd area this is the place to book!

The location did not meet our expectations 100%, next time we would rather stay at a hotel near the Marina.
Amazing hotel in the centre of Singapore, great for staycation holiday or for a quick jump in singapore while working.
Would have been nice to have the rooftop restaurant indoors as Singapore is super hot from sunrise to sunset.

At night there is no problem, but during the day, despite the excellent windows, it is unmistakably audible.
The convenient location - close to the bustle of Orchard Road and local MRT yet green and peaceful.
Perfect place to stay in the middle of town easy access to the shops and transportation ..

Location can be a hit or miss if you are not planning to walk a lot.
Perfect location wonderful staff clean amazing food in the restaurant which could go to your room
It is surrounded by lovely gardens and its indoor-outdoor restaurant takes advantage of the setting.

It's a bit of a walk since it's slightly away from the center of Orchard.
Great off-street access for arrival and departure and easy walk to Orchard Rd shopping.
Good location, near many restaurants, shops and a short walk to the metro station.

Right on Orchard Street, everything close by, walking distance to the Botanical Gardens.
Good location close to Orchard Road, the Botanical, Gardens, and Dempsey Hill.
Location was excellent 5 mins walk to Orchard road.

Great location: Walkable to the major shopping malls.
It was modern in an ideal location.
It's very noisy due to construction nearby!

Lovely peaceful hotel close location to Orchard
Great location to explore the city.
Good location of the hotel.

Pool: What guests say
View Artyzen Singapore65 relevant reviews
The rooftop infinity pool is the standout feature, praised for spectacular city views, sunsets, a glass-bottom section, and a relaxed pool bar open into the evening. It is often quiet and well-staffed, but the pool is relatively small, loungers are limited and lack cushions or shade, service can be slow, and it may not suit young children.

Only minor things - rooftop pool and bar is excellent to relax, but as such the sunbeds are limited in number so you may be waiting a while for one to free up.
The rooftop pool can be quite nice when it’s very hot and they do keep it open until 10pm (with bar service going until 9pm).
If you are looking for a hotel to spend a few hours beside the pool and not get sunburnt then this is not for you.

We loved the swimming pool and the jacuzzi, and the see through Perspex floor at one end of the pool was quite the talking point.
The crowning jewel of this hotel is the rooftop infinity pool adjacent to a bar, great for lunch or an afternoon or evening drink.
The pool design considers the spaciousness of the rooftop, featuring some transparent views at the bottom of the pool, making it unique and exciting.

The decor is sumptuous, art deco style, the sunset on the rooftop of the pool, very comfortable bedding, and kindness of the staff
It is a small pool with very limited poolside area but the biggest shortcoming is the lack of shade in the afternoon.
The rooftop pool is amazing - especially the last two meters which allow for a view all the way down.

The roof top infinity pool with an amazing view was a very pleasant spot to spend the afternoons.
Watch the sunset while having dinner next to the rooftop pool and bar area with such magnificent views.
The pool area also incredible with views across Singapore and was often quiet / noone else there.

Another highlight is the view from the roof top is amazing while swimmin in the pool.
The roof top pool view was great and was not blocked by other tall buildings.
The pool is stunning and very pleasant. Ideal in the late evening when night falls.

Wow what a sight greeted us when we arrived on the roof - absolutely stunning!
The rooftop pool with a quirky difference (you have to go to experience!) is divine.
The hotel pool was not large, and there was noise due to ongoing construction nearby.

The pool is located on the 20th floor, making it very suitable for Singapore's geography.
The rooftop pool and bar with city views create a chic and relaxed atmosphere.
If you have small children then the pool and surrounds are definitely not suitable.

It could be good to do a breakfast buffet by the pool area.
Glass bottom in the roof top pool is a brilliant feature.
The pool are on the rood maximises this too.

The pool was very nice and calm.
Lovely views from the infinity pool
Rooftop infinity pool was simply amazing.

The rooftop pool was amazing!!
The pool was amazing.
Pool is good

Breakfast: What guests say
View Artyzen Singapore40 relevant reviews
Breakfast feedback is mixed: guests praise the coffee, healthy food, inventive dishes and generous quality, but recurring complaints cite a small breakfast area, no buffet, limited à la carte choices—especially for vegans and non-egg eaters—and prices or package inclusions that are unclear or expensive.

A document with available options to hand to guests on arrival at the delightful ground floor breakfast room / bar / coffee venue would have been helpful.
Breakfast options felt very limited, especially for vegans or plant-based Easters, so we skipped it and felt it was the right thing to do.
Breakfast is a bit expensive and there is a lack of clarity from the staff about the prices, which caused some confusion.

Breakfast was excellent and very generous - be sure to include it with your room as it would be quite pricy otherwise.
There was only a la carte available in a small area by the reception that had a line on weekends.
Menu tries to be too sophisticated in its descriptions as opposed to the simple eatability of the food.

Breakfast has no buffet. Just a few random pieces of fruit and some juices on a table display.
More breakfast options including vegetarian ones and a complimentary fruit basket would have been nice in the room.
Breakfast is a complete disappointment! Only a la carte! For such a hotel, this is not serious!

It was difficult to understand the various dining packages being offered for breakfast and their prices.
Guests are often disappointed with the à la carte breakfast, as they expect a buffet-style offering.
Two of which are "Eggs how you like them" and "toast with butter" - truly pathetic.

Also For the price that we are paying, why only one main for Breakfast?
What’s the point of having a wide menu but guest can only pick one?
Breakfast choice was rather limited and to our Western European tastes not that appealing.

If possible, I recommend to get the breakfast when you book the room.
Additionally, the menu has very limited options, which further impacts the overall experience.
Both breakfast and the rooftop bar and the ambiance therein were excellent.

Breakfast was a good choice of healthy and cooked food to order.
Room service menu was limited when it came to snacks/basic continental options
Tomorrow starts the day with a delicious à la carte breakfast

Using the buffet of fruits and basic bread costs additional money
Also rather expensive for something we were not that keen on.
You can’t just have a coffee and a croissant for example.

They are also a slight bit stingy with the breakfast
Breakfast was really good & all the staff were excellent.
After 10.30am the restaurant only offers lunch choices.

Did not have the breakfast in the hotel.
Toast with avocado gets old Every morning.
The breakfast falls short of expectations

Facilities: What guests say
View Artyzen Singapore38 relevant reviews
Guests repeatedly praised the striking architecture, thoughtful interiors, greenery, cleanliness, friendly staff, rooftop pool, and city views. Recurring drawbacks included slow or malfunctioning lifts, construction noise, small crowded pool, delayed hot water, and slow room dining or laundry. Families may find the limited breakfast selection and compact spaces unsuitable.

I would have liked milk to be included in the mini bar as we enjoy it with our tea /coffee instead I paid $6 for a glass of it to keep in my room.
The outlook from the roof-top pool deck / terrace which opened up different vistas and showed a different Singapore below in this quieter part of the central city.
They take 200 singapore dollars per Day so if youre staying for multiple days make sure you have plenty of cash on hand for them to hold.

Finally, there is a lack of a 'large lounge' area to relax in, or we didn't see it and no one pointed it out to us.
It’s a boutique hotel I don’t really recommend for kids the breakfast area is small and the variety of food selection is very limited.
Roof top bar and pool service very slow, considering when there were only a hand full of people at the pool at the time.

Evening turn down service although enhances the mood it felt a bit creepy cause it was never at the same time in the evening.
The hotel spray out the aroma too strong it cause my daughter sneeze..my friend said that he smell the dead mouse in the elevator.
The decor - especially the brightly coloured glass panel on the inside of the lift showing shop houses and depicting early Singapore life.

The large bathtub in the bathroom is great, but be sure to fill it with plenty of hot water in advance.
Every detail in this hotel has been thoughtfully considered — from the dustbins to the curtains, doors, and bathroom fittings.
There is some sticky thing on floor at the first night but i didnt complain because i chk in late.

The lift is closed for service.. im not really sure if it because of the smell or maintenance.
Two of the three lifts we’re working so sometimes you needed to wait but that’s it really.
The attention to design and functionality in every corner elevates the overall experience and justifies the price.

There are generous green spaces throughout the hotel making you feel like you're in a vertical jungle.
I step on it again at the second night.. so i think they didnt clean it properly.
Some very minor details on housekeeping (forgot to bring new body soap, cotton buds,… when empty)

Also, the bar at the pool felt a bit basic but served decent drinks and cocktails.
Need to take lift to high level each time and need to wait for the lift
I also felt it closed very early for a rooftop bar, potentially missing a trick.

The open spaces and natural light throughout the property made it feel warm and welcoming.
Also the swimming area is so small and always busy no we’re to stay.
I also appreciate the creatively designed elevator; it adds a unique and memorable touch.

The cleanliness of the hotel & rooms and the staff were friendly.
Great facilities and the food in the restaurant was very tasty.
Almost missed my flight due to no hot water,

Card in the lift did not work well
Happened couple of times not only once!
Beautiful, eclectic hotel with outdoor gardens.

Restaurant: What guests say
View Artyzen Singapore28 relevant reviews
Food is repeatedly praised as delicious, excellent, and sometimes good value, with made-to-order buffet breakfast a standout. However, dining and drinks are considered expensive, choices can be limited—especially for vegan and allergy needs—and service or availability is inconsistent, including restaurant capacity issues, slow drinks, closures, and early rooftop ordering cutoffs.

It also felt like the front of house was just turning us away because we were querying about vegan options on the a la carte menu and he didn’t really feel like checking what those were with the kitchen.
That said, the food itself was very nice but the drink service took an age (as it comes from the bar downstairs, in the hotel lobby, which felt a bit weird).
When going to the restaurant (Quenino) to book for a Saturday evening slot at around 3:30pm, we were told there were no spaces as it was pretty full.

Rooftop supposed to close kitchen and drinks a 9h30pm and at 9h15 pm they tell us that can’t take any more order.
However, when we looked online they had plenty of availability and we ended up dining in a half-empty restaurant that very evening.
The breakfast stands out — it’s buffet-style, but each item is made to order and served fresh like à la carte.

After one meal there you were scratching for variety, the beer list was vanishingly small and the wine list uninspiring.
$12 for a coffee is ridiculous, particularly when there are great cafes like Merci Marcel just around the corner.
The food in the downstairs cafe is incredible with the best fish and chips we have ever had.

We did not tried any food options as the choices were limited and wasn’t to our liking.
The food within the hotel offers a wide variety and we ate at all three offerings.
The in room dining, rooftop bar and lobby restaurant seems to be offering from similar menu.

I wish we had got to experience the restaurant while there & the wellness program.
The restaurant can't accommodate all the hotel guests! You have to wait for a table!
The hotel might want to look into the menu and pricings of room service.

The restaurant food is so good and the people are so welcoming and nice.
The food and drink offering outside the high end restaurant was less than exceptional.
When i visited, it looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a while.

In room dining is ok but not amazing for a 5 star.
The flatbread snacks simply made no real sense as a food offering.
It’s a smart approach that enhances quality and reduces food waste.

Amazing food in the restaurant which could go to your room
The hotel shld consider offering more choices for vegan and allergy.
There is also a floor where the restaurant space is.

Dining in the cafe was excellent and worth the money;
The food/drink in the hotel was a little expensive.
Fantastic all day restaurant with a top noch cocktail.

There are plenty of options around the hotel
Quality of the food is excellent.
Good food in restaurant and room.service.

Check-in / Check-out: What guests say
View Artyzen Singapore16 relevant reviews
Check-in was frequently delayed, with guests waiting from 30 minutes to over two hours and rooms sometimes unready after the stated 3pm check-in. The lobby could be cramped and congested, service was often unwelcoming, and information about Wi-Fi, benefits, breakfast, cocktails, or shuttles was inconsistently provided. Late checkout extensions were limited.

We arrived early at around 9am so knew the room wouldn’t be ready, but were welcomed in by the lovely staff, checked in and then headed up to the pool until our room was ready.
I checked in at 6PM and my room was not ready yet: it can happen but, still, for the price you pay, you expect the property to have these type of issues under control.
My only concern would be I could see the lobby/cafe area got very congested at times, not sure why they didn't serve breakfast outside (we would have taken it if offered).

There was a queue to check in at 3pm with many unhappy faces at the lobby, and a lack of waiting area (everyone was cramped at a small spot).
A member of staff brought our room key up to us at about 11.30 which was fab as it meant we got in to our room really early!
Next, we were asked to wait for a room as they were still preparing at 3pm and was directed to the cafe for a complimentary drink.

We had to wait over two hours for our room (but were invited to wait in the bar area and offered a complimentary drink).
Considering the warm weather the other hotel I stayed at in Singapore offer a room to freshen up in for late check outs
As an I prefer member, they can only push for late check out till 1230pm.. a mere 30mins extra??

When the room was finally ready, we weren't informed but rather, we had to check in with the reception.
Upon checking in we were told that breakfast was not included in our booking when it clearly was.
I wasn't informed of the WiFi password at check-in so had to call guest services for it.

Also i wished they informed us about the free cocktail and free shuttle service when checking in.
I was given an upgrade but as my room wasn't ready, complimentary drinks were given.
No reliable hot water for shower and tv/speakers were not hooked up upon check in

30 minutes at 8h30 pm to get the room while nobody was waiting.
Based on our many luxury hotel experiences, it should be at least 4pm-6pm.
We weren't allowed to extend our checkout despite a late check in.

3pm was the stated check in and 12pm was the checkout.
The check in experience wasn’t pleasant, hospitality was almost non existent.
The check-in process was a major let down.

Upon arrival have to carry your luggage
Not very welcoming at the front desk
This was rectified promptly the following day.

And after much persistence till 2pm.
Not quick reply to request
Check-in lasted until 15:30.

High deposit requested

The gym is also pretty new and clean but lacks 1 or 2 fundamental machines which could have made it feel complete (ie. Fly machine — not the seated hybrid).
The 24/7 gym is very pleasant and equipped with everything needed.
Also one if the best hotel gyms ive used.

The room, gym, and overall amenities were fantastic.
Gym in the hotel, robes provided.
The gym is super modern.

The gym was awesome.
The gym was excellent.
Plus a gym.

After my morning cold shower I had to get a taxi at 6.15am everyday to other 5 star hotels nearby so I could get a proper breakfast.
They also offer a free car service for any location that’s 1.5 miles away from the hotel.
Hopefully they will have a car seat option soon so families could enjoy this benefit too.

The hotel had their own Taxi that would take you included with your room excellent….
But they don’t take kids below 1.35m as there is no child seat provided.
The hotel provides courtesy car to drop you off at nearby places.

Car shuttle service (Mercedes S class) around the immediate area
Mercedes takes you to the train station to venture around.
The taxi drivers don’t seem to take note of it.

The bump coming into the property.

Level 5 wellness area: beautifully landscaped.
Fitness, and spa treatment area;
Definitely the spa
