Reviews overwhelmingly praise the modern, spotless hotel, comfortable rooms, exceptional staff, large breakfast, and spectacular Chao Phraya River and city views, especially from the rooftop bar and infinity pool. Guests value the mall connection and complimentary boat crossings. One serious complaint cites extra charges despite confirmed payment, while another dislikes the crowd.

The overall atmosphere is quite different from Anantara, but on this trip, I used both Avani and Anantara. If I were to choose, I think Anantara would feel more comfortable with more activities and sights, even if it were just for a couple.
It's my first international trip but it was a good experience seriously its good decision of lupin to find best property like avani and antara great experience.
Bit on the mid range price but you are living in comfort and with peace of mind away from the hustle and bustle of life.

I'm afraid we will not return as it is on the dearer side and feel we can get better value elsewhere.
Perhaps the location, but with the shuttle and options at both hotels as well as the mall... it doesn't matter.
The amenities are fantastic, the staff is great... Can't think of a single thing to say that isn't positive.

We were not given a refund because our confirmation did not specifically say the executive lounge was included.
Big bonus All top! Was so great I booked it again on my return. Will stay again
I would not stay here again, there are many more options in the same price range.

Thank you to Mr. Arm and the entire team for making our babymoon so memorable.
If I go on a trip to Asia, I would always book their hotel again.
We had an excellent stay! Everything was perfect and we truly enjoyed every moment.

Superb 5-star stay; if I could I would give it 6 or 7 stars.
I strongly recommend taking the Manohra Dining Cruise for a romantic dinner experience.
It also hits a really good price point for what you get.

High quality hotel at competitive price in great location with amazing views
Nice hotel if you want to enjoy the view and the hotel.
If I ever come back to Bangkok i'll return for sure.

However, we would probably look at different options in the future.
The hotel has a panoramic view of the Chao Phraya River.
This is a treat and dreamy journey end to end.

One of the most beautiful and cleanest hotels in Bangkok.
Everything went well during our stay, from arrival to departure.
Nice view and everything was good looking and enjoyable.

Overall, it was a very pleasant and memorable stay.
We complained to the manager, he was very understanding but said he could not offer us a refund, eventually he gave us a complimentary dinner, which went a small way towards compensation but only after a lot of discussion and upset.
The hotel is very nice, the food is very tasty, the staff is very friendly, it has many good details, worthy of being a 5-star hotel and a very good price for everything it offers

We had such a great stay at AVANI+ Riverside Bangkok — the hotel strikes the perfect balance between relaxed and refined, and the views over the Chao Phraya River are stunning, especially at sunset.
It's the second time I've stayed at this hotel in the past 2 months and I'm telling you this is only hotel or brand I'll be staying at every time I come to Thailand.
Everything was wonderful - the hotel is very clean, the staff is polite and very helpful - we asked for extra towels and there was no problem, we received them in 5 minutes.

Rooms: What guests say
View Avani Plus Riverside Bangkok Hotel496 relevant reviews
Rooms are repeatedly praised as spacious, clean, comfortable, quiet, well-equipped, and exceptionally well-maintained, with highly sought-after river and skyline views, especially at night; complimentary upgrades to suites are a recurring highlight. Reported drawbacks include musty or sewer smells, occasional dust and stains, noisy interconnecting doors, limited storage, a faulty bathroom door, and inconsistent bed allocation.

They made the effort to observe the request for a twin room as it was my sons birthday - they even decorated the room and left a birthday cake on arrival for no extra charge.
If it helps - we were there for our honeymoon and they left a beautiful cake in our room that said Happy Honeymoon - just the perfect touch!
The lovely large panoramic window in our room was full of condensation in the morning (on the outside), which meant we couldn't enjoy the sunrise.

We loved our spacious room with a panoramic view of the river and both rainfall and hand-held shower heads with fabulously hot water.
Everything starting with the room view wasn’t like what we booking the view was a concrete floor and part of the river.
The pillow was like a magic cloud. When my head hit the pillow it just sank into a marshmallow of heaven.

The bed was so big at the expense of room space and bed side unit / sockets on one side
The view from our room was one of the best city views we have ever seen, it was amazing.
A bit too little closet space in the room, everything open and too few options to hang things.

Privacy Concerns: We paid a premium rate for our room, expecting quality service befitting your hotel brand.
The hotel signals luxury but the rooms are boring and what you find in three star hotels.
24 hour room service was provided so we could eat and drink and get some sleep.

Many important details, such as a toothbrush and body moisturizer, we loved and we will return!
The luxurious room and spectacular sunrise and river views are additional bonus not available elsewhere!
Beautiful, modern, and spacious room with a great view of the river and the city.

Really top-notch, we had a room on the 24th floor with a magnificent view.
The room is spacious and comfortable with a very nice view of the river.
We spent 5 nights and we could not hang and store our clothes properly.

We were given a room with a locked door into an adjoining room.
In actual fact this hotel was stunning from ground floor to top floor.
The rooms are comfortable and spacious, all with a view of the river.

Noisy stay, interconnecting room doors mean you can hear the neighbouring room.
This time our bed wasn’t comfortable and was too soft and saggy.
The super beautiful view, the comfortable bed, the great, very plentiful breakfast..!!!

Everything was thoughtfully designed to make the stay relaxing and enjoyable.
First time, the suite room is next to the temple which might feel contrast if you want to do any activities like drinking or other entertainings since once you look down you will see the temple which keep ancient culture and conservative.
The only thing is to improve the cleaning service in the rooms, they do a good job but leave dirty dishes, the iron is left outside, in short, they do not organize the room well, they just clean it

They need to fix the work desk lamp that wasn't working/checked as well as the rain shower that was spraying all over the place probably due to clogging but it was a small issue not a big one.
Between the wonderful view and the bed, it becomes very difficult to choose, but I believe the view manages to win, although the bed is huge and very comfortable; our best sleep on the trip was on it!
Upon arrival, we were assigned a room that had all the windows fogged up/dirty and you couldn't see anything (the appeal of the place is the glass-walled rooms where you can see the city's skyline and the river).

Staff: What guests say
View Avani Plus Riverside Bangkok Hotel466 relevant reviews
Staff are overwhelmingly described as friendly, welcoming, professional, attentive, and eager to help, often providing fast service and thoughtful gestures. Concierge and housekeeping receive particular praise, with staff assisting transfers, reservations, lost items, and celebrations. Isolated complaints mention an unwelcoming reception, alleged room upselling, and understaffing causing chaos.

At night around 10pm, while we were watching TV with NORMAL volume of sound, the staff called the room and said there was a complaint that our TV was too loud.
On our last day we realized how the concierge has a WIDE variety of excursions and trips that are excellent and are arranged by the hotel.
Although we had already checked out a day ago, the team successfully took care of our lost phone while we were on our way!

I was told that if I wanted a room with a double bed, I would have to pay an extra €100.
We were upgraded to a room and they prepared a surprise for us in the room for our wedding anniversary.
During our check-in, we were offered a welcoming drink and checked in by the very friendly and efficient Sugar.

The team consistently went above and beyond with small but meaningful gestures that made anyone feel truly welcomed.
During check-in, the staff saw the ID and noticed it was a birthday (we hadn't made any requests).
This is hands down the best hotel we have ever stayed at, and will definitely visit again.

She provided the best room service I have seen on all my trips over the years.
They made me laugh, feel special, and start my day in the best way possible
My interactions with the housekeeper Ket made my stay feel all the more valuable.

I want to thank Noon/housekeeping who made our stay special and our room perfect.
Pls give my regards to Best, really the best concierge and most helpful staff.
A huge shoutout to Ms. Pare once again for her generosity and warmth.

The woman responsible for check-in was impatient and did not clarify all doubts.
Also, Mr ICE had assisted us to solve our departure transfer issue.
The staff does its best to make our stay comfortable and unforgettable.

Despite the insistence we had to show to get the correct information…
Staff friendly, organized everything according to our requests - Thank you!
You can feel the care and attention to guest experience everywhere.

We had to ring when needed each time, which was annoying.
The concierge Best saved our trip with his excellent assistance
Attentive and helpful staff (room upkeep, concierge, restaurants, ferry team)

The staff at the hotel are extremely kind and helpful!
The concierge were brilliant, and after we arrived with no luggage (this had been delayed in Amsterdam), they immediately took the details and chased it up for us, which really put our minds at ease and helped us enjoy the little time we had in Bangkok.
I would like to thank Avani staff from the bottom of my heart for being so patient, kind and helpful throughout the whole time to help me with the lost item, safekeeping it from the driver until we could pick up up.

I had the pleasure of meeting Pare during my stay this was my second visit at Avani+ and she did remember me from the moment i arrive she greeted me warmly and all the staff has been helpful Concierge was helpful
The customer service was terrible and the music was awful until late, making it impossible to sleep even with earplugs; the staff did absolutely nothing except give us a "so sorry," pat us on the back, and that was it.
A lot of the staff sometimes (especially at the rooftop) miss the mark on providing top-notch service and can be overwhelmed by the high foot traffic and do not appear to be very experienced or service oriented.

Location: What guests say
View Avani Plus Riverside Bangkok Hotel421 relevant reviews
Riverside location delivers exceptional Chao Phraya and skyline views, a peaceful setting, and convenient access to Riverside Plaza’s shops, dining, and supermarket. Complimentary boats connect with Sathorn BTS and Iconsiam, though service can be infrequent. The hotel is outside central Bangkok, isolated and generally not walkable, with limited nearby restaurants and green space.

The location was good for us - especially due to shuttle services from the river - a nice way to travel to Icon Siam and across to the other side to be able to use the metro services.
Beautiful Location even though it is not in the city center you can reach it quickly by the included boat shuttle which made the whole stay and getting-around much more enjoyable.
Great location thanks to a free boat shuttle that comfortably takes you to the center and to sights every half hour without having to struggle through the streets.

If a night time river view and the charm of hopping on and off a boat is your thing then it will be perfect for you.
Perhaps the location: a nice neighborhood but a bit far from the main attractions, and since Bangkok is very large, the transfers were slightly long.
Check in was on the 11th floor and turns out there is even the entrance to a shopping centre on the third floor.

The Riverside experience is different from the Sukhumvit experience, where you have many malls, shopping, restaurants, and bars within walking distance.
We had a room with a river view and city (skyline), 20th floor, room 2020….. a dream for us 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻.
The location is okay as they have a shuttle boat across the river to catch the ferry if needed.

Location is across the river from the downtown so it is time-consuming to get downtown especially with traffic.
There’s free river boats going to the Saphan Taksin station as well as the Iconsiam shopping center.
Location, safety and connecting point inside the city and the river good as no other, staff amazing

Anyway, it's nice to spend time shopping or dining after checkout before heading to the airport.
One is right in the middle of life but also very calm and can relax.
You can easily hop on a boat to get to the temples, shopping and more!

Such a great perk, especially on hotter days when you want to stay cool.
Otherwise, the hotel is rather away from the center, but offers a shuttle boat.
Across Asiatique the riverfront and about 7 mins on cab to Icon Siam.

The boat available to reach the Night Market or IconSiam is very convenient
The location is difficult to access if you plan to travel around bangkok.
Great location, great services provided, staff were fabulous, all round perfect stay.

The location was ideal for us and travelling around Bangkok was easy.
Another big plus is the direct access to Riverside Plaza Bangkok.
On top of a mall safe cash eat in the mall.

Its a nice view but far away from the city center.
- Be careful, the free boat with the other hotel of the same group just across does not go to Asiatique as we were told at the pier, but rather to a place far away where you can take a boat to Asiatique (which comes every 30 minutes, also free). So instead of a boat that crosses the river in 5 minutes, it takes an hour to get there.
For those going to the Grand Palace, it doesn't help much, as it drops off at another pier, on the opposite side of the river, and the boat that will take you to the Grand Palace takes a long time.

He proceeded to show me a map of areas in Bangkok that we were going to check out, described the temples we were planing on visiting, and told us what to wear and who to avoid when over there.
The sister hotel the Anatara was across the road via a covered walkway and we were able to sit in the grounds of it surrounded by plants and trees on our way to and from the boats.
If you are a solo traveler or a couple who enjoys stunning high-rise views and a welcoming, serene space to retreat to after a night out in Bangkok, the Avani+ should be your absolute first choice.

Breakfast: What guests say
View Avani Plus Riverside Bangkok Hotel379 relevant reviews
Breakfast is overwhelmingly praised for its extensive, varied, high-quality buffet, international choices, fresh juices, and attentive staff, with views sometimes enhancing the experience. Recurring drawbacks include crowding, tight seating, slow or disorganized egg service, an empty coffee machine, and occasional reports of cold or stale food; breakfast may not be included for all guests.

We were also surprised that breakfast did not open until 6.30 and as a city hotel with quite a few guests leaving for early flights we felt an early riser breakfast could be offered.
The breakfast buffet is unbeatable... one of the best I have ever seen, with a great variety of food and chefs who cook for you right there on the spot!!
The breakfast is quite good (especially the egg dishes and desserts), but there wasn't anything among the main dishes that was very tasty, so it feels lacking by 2%.

Buffet items were not very warm and many items were same each day (could have more rotation) but did accommodate many ethnicities in breakfast food.
We have at the breakfast an assistant who take care my wife, like she is a part of the own family.
Breakfast had limited options for Muslims (mejorty options had pork)! While it says its halal food ingredient at the restaurant reception.

So instead we went for the cooked buffet eggs and various other buffet items but this was all stone cold.
You cannot make a proper English breakfast or really any balanced breakfast at all, unless you want noodles and meat.
During breakfast, everything was very crowded and the coffee machine was often empty again because there was only one.

The breakfast buffet was excellent, offering a generous selection of dishes that catered to guests from different nationalities.
The breakfast at skyline is lovely with all the lights streaming in, the food is good too.
During four days, I did not see any fresh vegetables — no tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, nothing.

I paid for breakfast included, but at check-in I was told breakfast was not included
Most of the time, she doesn’t — so you end up chasing her around.
Breakfast is also very good and a great way to start the day.

There was true honey, i saw only in 2 hotels in my life.
The breakfast buffet is wonderful and caters to any taste and whim.
They put on a little show at breakfast for my birthday!

The breakfast was one of the best we have ever had.
The food buffet was clean, varied, and of excellent quality.
Great breakfast, not continental but well "5 continents" very complete!!!!

Breakfast is the best we've experienced in any hotel.
Breakfast selection was excellent and had choices for everyone.
Never any fruit or decent coffee or any variety.

The breakfast was the best buffet we’ve ever had!
I honestly don’t know who would enjoy it.
Extraordinary breakfast buffet with everything your heart desires!

The chairs in the breakfast room are dirty.
For this, Anantara is a better choice.
The breakfast is delicious and very varied.

Pool: What guests say
View Avani Plus Riverside Bangkok Hotel343 relevant reviews
The rooftop infinity pool on the 25th/26th floor is the hotel’s standout feature, offering exceptional city and river views, a bar, and memorable sunsets. Repeated drawbacks include a small, crowded area with too few loungers or umbrellas, early afternoon shade, cold water, loud music, early closing, high prices, and occasional cleanliness problems.

All apparently had not seen the last months how dirty the outer rim of the infinity pool was, the place where you place your arms on the infinity rim, but also if you look over it tot the bottom, and the glass protection wall, like in manyhotels was super dirty.
After i noticed the outer rim of the infinity pool was disgustingly dirty, i told it to the life guard, who told it to a caretakes who came, who told it to the head of department who came and a then manager who came.
One evening we, as hotel guests, wanted to go up to the pool at 7:45 PM to take pictures, but we were told that a private party was taking place and it was only accessible to reserved private guests, which is weak.

The rooftop pool was amazing with incredible views overlooking the river as well-only wish it was open later to enjoy as it’s almost too hot to enjoy in the mid day blazing sun.
Finally, we loved the pool but couldn't comfortably use the rooftop space one day as there was a wedding there (loads of people and very noisy).
The loud music in the swimming pool adjacent to the bar...difficult to chill out as it felt you were in a nightclub from 9am onwards.

On the second and last day of our stay, unfortunately, the rooftop pool was closed without prior notice due to a private event.
The pool area is a bit small, the sun disappeared in the afternoon, but overall not much to complain about
The hotel's rooftop pool is simply wonderful!! It is designed as an infinity pool and is beautifully designed.

Attracts the “instagram” crowd so wasn’t at all welcoming to those who specifically want to swim.
The cocktails by the pool were also amazing and made the day even more enjoyable
Great rooftop pool and an amazing bar with a fantastic view on the 26th floor.

The rooftop pool is nice and clean, sunny there until about 3 PM (January).
A rooftop pool on the 26th floor, which gives stunning views of the city.
The infinity pool on the rooftop is simply amazing, with a breathtaking view.

The roof top pool is stunning and gives amazing sun rise photo opportunities.
We were refused to bring a bottle of water to the pool.
Swimming pool is good for photo but very difficult to actually swim.

The amazing rooftop pool, the view from the rooms is breathtaking
Pool was awesome with panoramic views of the city and river.
It turns out that the pool was privatized the following evening.

The view from the 26th floor with the pool is amazing.
The infinity pool is not too big but very beautiful.
Pool surroundings very dirty - doesn't make sense this way

The rooftop pool created unforgettable moments, especially during sunset.
We also enjoyed the pool on the 26th floor.
Rooftop pool, bar & restaurant on the 26th floor

The rooftop pool, bar and restaurant are amazing.
The infinity pool on the roof is spectacular.
Roof top pool and bar look very stylish.

Facilities: What guests say
View Avani Plus Riverside Bangkok Hotel191 relevant reviews
Facilities are generally excellent, clean, and well maintained, with a connected shopping mall, shops and restaurants, rooftop bars offering standout views and nightlife, plus a pool and gym. Guests also value access to Anantara facilities and the shuttle boat. Recurring drawbacks include expensive drinks and laundry, hot corridors, occasional odors, and poor Wi-Fi.

Only thing I would say that drinks were super expensive and we would have hung out at the pool bar a lot more and drank a lot more if the drink prices were not sky high.
The sink is very uncomfortable to use because the mixer is positioned in such a way that the water flows almost over the edge of the sink instead of the center as it normally should.
They want Thb 5000 to sit near the edge but we sat at the bar - no additional cost - opposite the DJ and enjoyed really excellent cocktails, music and service.

Super-clean everywhere and the possibility (for a small fee if you want to lay at the pool) to experience also the facilities & vibes of the sister hotel Anantara next door.
They are fixed in one position (no ability to move with the direction of the sun, and no ability to adjust the recline. You're just in this weird semi recumbent position.
The gym was so small without option they put a schedule for classes but it’s Anantara hotel schedule not theirs, everything we aske for the say go to Anantara.

The hotel price is for a five-star level, but the facilities are really not that great, it can only be considered a three-star hotel.
+ shopping center in building, bought a cap against sun and there even is a italian wine shop on second floor
Since the rooms are very small, the air conditioning blows directly against the window and then back onto the beds.

The small shopping plaza in the hotel complex was a bonus with a seven eleven and food outlets.
The prices also at the rooftop were very expensive, $10 for a bottle of San pelligrino water.
That was very uncomfortable, and we ended up sleeping without air conditioning on the second night.

We went on a private tour to the floating and train market that was excellent.
We could also use their facilities and restaurants and charge to our hotel room.
They have a river boat for guests as well that make travelling so easy.

The prices for drinks and food were extremely high, but that was no surprise.
We have stayed in less luxurious accommodations that provided slippers, but not here.
Water pressure in toilet and sink was too strong which was bit annoying.

They also host events for the festive season, Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
The Avani hotel is a comfortable hotel with clean rooms and facilities.
Electrifying ambience at SIN sky roof bar, the DJ and her playlist

On occasions we waited almost 5 minutes for a lift to arrive.
The rooftop bar is beautiful (pricey!) and the atmosphere is great.
The rooftop bar was great. The pool and restaurant too.

Would not recommend to use it unless very urgent.
Great upstairs restaurant with great view and infinity pool!!
The pool chairs were really uncomfortable and inadequate.

Exceptional facilities and outstanding staff and service.
Visit the bar on the 42nd floor!
Very good room facilities and cleanliness.

Restaurant: What guests say
View Avani Plus Riverside Bangkok Hotel165 relevant reviews
Guests frequently praise the excellent food, attentive service, Skyline buffets, and SEEN’s rooftop views and atmosphere. Dining and cocktails are repeatedly described as expensive, with small portions and occasional slow service. Loud music at SEEN can disrupt dinner, vegetarian and Thai options are limited, and breakfast coffee is often criticized.

It was very expensive to have any food or drinks at the hotel, two Singha stubby beers by the pool cost $32 AUD (660 THB) which made it hard to justify chilling at the hotel, better off eating and drinking out elsewhere.
Restaurant SEEN: Cocktails are tasty, but served in far too small glasses ( miniature style compared to a usual size in an exclusive European bar ( while prices are Singapore/Swiss-style) and in a lot of luxury ressort in Thailand)
When I mentioned that such things do not happen at the Tower Club at Lebua, Banyan Tree bar, he told me that it is more expensive there, which completely surprised us that a bar manager would say that.

Floating down the river on a beautifully restored rice barge while enjoying a full Thai tasting menu was such a romantic way to see the city lights — totally recommend it for a special night out.
They brought me the Coca-Cola in a carafe and completely flat, as I was showing him and saying that the Coca-Cola had probably been sitting in the fridge for a long time and lost its fizz.
Food was served cold when l asked if they had a microwave so l could get it warmed up they took it off me and just got me a fresh one which was again cold

We tried to explain that he was ill from the pollution but they wouldn't allow us to bring a small bottle of water in - so we went to the Anantara instead for dinner.
When we called the bar manager, he told us that they could put less ice, but that we would then have less in the glass, as this is how it is ordered and designed.
Everything would have been perfect if the very expensive restaurant had served slightly larger portions... with a bill of €240 for 4, without wine... (we are in Thailand!), we left still hungry.

After sitting for an hour with 3 vacant tables we asked again and were told we could have one but only if we spent over 5000Tbt 🤷♂️.
In my opinion, the food options at the hotel and the shopping centre are not great, but at least there are a few options.
Who comes up with the idea of having a DJ in a place where people are dining, playing loud techno music?

The prices for cocktails and food are too high, considering more luxury hotels have cheaper menu options in surrounding areas.
I did find the drinks very expensive to buy compared to the whole other two weeks of our trip.
The teppanyaki show was so much fun — our chef was super entertaining, and the food was amazing.

Next to the pool, there is a restaurant bar, which also has a wonderful view of the river.
Dinning at long bar . Really good vibe good food , fair price and really nice staff
Drinks are very expensive for Thailand, plus there is an added charge similar to an Italian coperto.

At the rooftop bar we had a cocktail each and one water and our bill was 2000B.
Service at Seen Restaurant was amazing as well as the food being out of this world.
The restaurant was extremely expensive, minimum consumption when sitting by the window on the rooftop terrace.

The sky bar that we were looking forward to with our friends completely disappointed us.
The food on the roof of the hotel is not special, unfortunately not 😋
- Good level restaurant (though quite expensive for Bangkok but it is good)

Excellent service and relaxing atmosphere with a good view over the river.
The rooftop restaurant is worth it even though it's a bit expensive.
Drinks and food are pricey there but it was an experience.

Food not as incredible as on the islands but quite acceptable.
Highlights are the pool and rooftop restaurant and bar Seen/Sin
The meals and wines were good but both very expensive!

Transport: What guests say
View Avani Plus Riverside Bangkok Hotel158 relevant reviews
The complimentary river shuttle is the standout transport benefit, linking the hotel or nearby Anantara with Sathorn Pier, BTS connections and IconSiam, often punctually every 30–60 minutes. It offers scenic, traffic-free sightseeing, but the hotel is distant from BTS and central areas, taxis can be difficult or expensive, and schedules or pier directions may confuse guests.

Major plus was the free ferry which would bring you either to the over the top IconSiam mall or across the river to the Central Pier, where you can catch other ferries and long boats up and down the river to all the sights or connect to the BTS/ MRT Skyline train.
Could not use the stairs or staff elevator when elevators were full, but this happened just 2 times when too many people from GLA Conference were trying to use elevators at the same time.
My wife and I decided to venture out on our own and used the trains and subways easily which was a fraction of the cost of the recommended taxis by the concierge boys.

The hotel's own shuttle boat runs every 30 minutes throughout the day between the hotel and the boat stops Icon Siam and Sathorn, where you can transfer to public boats or the Skytrain
The boat shuttle to Sathorn Pier is a hit, you just have to pay close attention to the departure times, otherwise sometimes you wait relatively long for the next boat to come.
It is also worth mentioning that as guests you get a complimentary boat service from the neighbouring Anantara Hotel to both Sathorn and Iconsiam piers running every 30 or 60 minutes.

The hotel also offered to book a taxi to the airport, but at 2000 THB, it was around four times the price of a regular taxi, so we politely declined.
Taxi driver at the Siam Paragon didnt want to take us back to our motel as it was too far and wanted 500 BTH extra to take us home
Shuttle boats confusing to get back to the hotel getting told to go to one pier then told to go to the same one you have just left.

The hotel has is that they offer a small boat service that takes you across to the Iconsiam shopping mall every hour, round trip, very convenient and scenic.
I would probably not recommend this hotel to someone primarily interested in experiencing Bangkok's night life because getting back to the hotel is too arduous without the ferry.
Perhaps they thought foreigners would get lost using the trains and subways but they are much easier, cleaner and more modern than the NYC subways and trains.

We loved visiting the sister hotel nearby (Anatara)—it’s stunning, and you can catch a riverboat shuttle from there for a scenic ride across the river.
The only difficulty we had was with a Brazilian agency that didn't want to pick us up at the hotel due to its location.
We particularly appreciated the convenient access to the city via the complimentary boat service to Sathorn Pier, One Bangkok, and IconSiam.

We had to take a grab to the other side and that took a long time due to Bangkok's traffic.
That it was a bit inconvenient / time-consuming to get back and forth between the city and the hotel
It was so much better accessing the sites by the river rather than being stuck in traffic.

Getting there by train is a bit difficult, so it's best to come with a Grab.
You can use the Anantara boat shuttle to get to ICONSIAM and other river destinations.
Loved having the little shuttle boat to take us up and down the river.

Finally, the hotel's boat shuttle available is really the best feature of the hotel!
Free boat shuttle very practical for getting to Iconsiam and the center of Bangkok.
Shuttle service on the river that connects Sathorn Bridge or the Iconsiam shopping center.

The link to the Anantara hotel and complimentary shuttle boat was really useful.
The free boat was excellent and takes you to a variety of places.
The free shuttle boat to the city is very pleasant and works great!

The little boat to get to the metro is convenient and free.
Complimentary shuttle service is available from the pier which operates daily.
Little bit to far from airport, should have stayed longer.

Check-in / Check-out: What guests say
View Avani Plus Riverside Bangkok Hotel73 relevant reviews
Check-in is often smooth, quick, and professional, with staff frequently accommodating early or late requests and sometimes offering welcome drinks or upgrades. Recurring concerns include 20–30-minute queues, delayed luggage, costly or undisclosed early check-in fees, substantial deposits, and refunds taking 7–30 days; occasional communication and room-type disputes were also reported.

We were also asked to put 2,000 THB as a deposit which I gave my credit card to them, the deposit is fine but what is weird is that when checking out, I asked staff if they were not gonna void the transaction, they said the amount of deposit will be auto refunded within 7-14 days.
The luggage service held our suitcases for 30 minutes, so I would recommend just taking them with you directly; upon departure, everyone was also in the lobby with their luggage, so we didn't quite understand that... We also arrived at 8 PM, so it should actually have gone quicker with the luggage.
I was with him before 2 o'clock; they stumbled a bit and thanked me. I said, and the insurance, they said it will be void after 12 and you will have to pay 200 😜. There is a grace period until 3 🧐.

We ended up paying for early check in which seemed expensive but we arrived at 10am after a very long flight so I’d have paid anything for a shower and bed before 2pm as it allowed us to enjoy the afternoon refreshed.
Upon our arrival, the hotel staff asked us for the card used to make the payment and charged us about 150 euros as a deposit for any expenses we might incur at the bar, notifying us after they had done it.
When I was leaving, they called in the morning asking if I would complete or check out. I said check out, and they said okay, the important thing is to be at the reception before 3.

I left the hotel 8 days ago and the deposit has not been refound yet, I called the hotel and they told me that need up to 21 days to have back the deposit.
Since our flight was very late in the evening, we were allowed to spend a few more hours in the hotel; and even use the hotel pool, although we had already checked out!
The second night we went to the Bar, signed the bill, but was stopped at the elevator by a staff member who apologized and explained that we couldn’t sign but had to pay.

For an early check-in of only 4 hours (after a 10-hour flight we couldn't wait until 3 PM), they charged us half of what we would have paid for a full day.
I arrived four hours before check-in and paid an early check-in fee of four thousand baht for two rooms, noting that most hotels have flexibility for early check-in without additional fees
You have to leave a deposit for each night (this is common in larger hotels) the easiest way to pay this is by credit card, you can’t use a debit card.

Just to mention something that wasn't perfect, after check-in, we were going with our luggage to the elevator, but we were told that hotel staff would take it up for us.
The issue was the delay in receiving them in the rooms, which blocked us for almost an hour, preventing us from enjoying the pool since we arrived in the afternoon.
Everything came with an extra charge. Despite it being our second time there, we didn't get any extras. We had to pay for an early check-in with a baby.

When checking in, we were informed that we were 'upgraded' to the panorama river view room which was a bit confused as it already was what I've booked.
I paid the price of half an extra night because I requested early check-in at 10 AM .. the staff showed no cooperation and consider that exploitation
The way it was communicated — especially the staff’s tone and facial expressions — made me feel as though I was not understanding something very basic.

Special thanks and five stars to Miss Pare for making sure our check-in was seamless and smooth, hassle free along with a lovely welcome drink!
The only thing that I found a bit annoying, which is by no means a deal breaker...the check in and check out took long.
We were supposed to deposit a fee of 11,000 baht upon arrival, although 2,500 baht was indicated at the time of booking.

At the hotel i descovered that need a deposit of about 6000 baht, no information on booking about that deposit.
When we checked in and saw the room we went straight downstairs to speak to the lady behind reception
If we left after breakfast and got back at 3-4 pm, it happened the room was not cleaned.

No welcome drink upon checked in, no inroom Amenity on arrival, no slippers, not worth 7000+/night
From the reservation process to the check out, I was pampered by enthusiastic service.
To be quoted a silly amount of money to check in which was disappointing

Been told by the hotel that it could take up to 1 month.
After checking out, we could leave our luggage and use the pool.
Immediately after we had lunch and signed the bill to the room.

Gym: What guests say
View Avani Plus Riverside Bangkok Hotel22 relevant reviews
The gym is repeatedly praised as good, well-equipped, and sometimes open 24 hours, with a river view and continued access after checkout. Recurring drawbacks are its small size, limited weight machines, overcrowding in the morning, aging equipment, and empty towel or disinfectant supplies.

Nice that we could still use the gym and pool for the rest of the day after checking out.
The gym equipment is very old, and the gym needs to be renovated in a better way.
In the morning, it was barely useable because of how over crowded the facility was.

Gym is pretty good you feel like you’re running towards the river on the treadmill.
The gym is small, and has a very limited number of weights machines.
And they have a spa, gym and other restaurants and coffee shops.

Gym could be bigger for the size of the hotel
The gym was good and was 24 hours.
The gym could be checked more often.

Towels and disinfectant etc. were always empty.
The gym had good equipment

Good gym
Good gym.

The spa across from the hotel was also quite good, I only found out about it by wLking across from the hotel and through a nice big garden area.
This is a very nice hotel and adjacent to Anantara, with shared services such as spa and wellness.
The spa is located in the second resort in front of the hotel

Be prepared to pay normal EU prices for spa, drinks and food.
And they have a spa, gym and other restaurants and coffee shops.
They should maybe promote the spa services more to hotel guests.

The spa is in a beautiful setting and worth experiencing.
Spa very nice so professional and quality.
I got a great pedicure there.

I really love their wellness program.
The spa treatment felt great.
To the spa
