Al Meroz is repeatedly praised as a halal, Muslim-friendly family hotel with prayer facilities, halal food, friendly staff, cleanliness, comfortable rooms, and a quiet location. Recurring criticisms include an outdated property, inadequate maintenance or deep cleaning, poor Wi-Fi, limited Asian breakfast variety, occasionally cold food, and claims that service falls below five-star expectations.

At the buffet, some people took a lot and left it messy, moved bags off of reserved tables to sit down, and showed videos with sound to their children during meals, which was bad manners and unpleasant.
Their pricing is reasonable, so it would be great, if they adjust their rating on Google by either mentioning it as a 3-star hotel or improving the overall standards to justify it as a 5-star hotel.
The experience that all of us had during our stay in this hotel was truly amazing, brought a lot of good memories and really worth all the expenses that we spend for our accommodation here.

The hotel is entirely Islamic, from the staff to the upscale room system, including a prayer area, tranquility, cleanliness of the hotel, cleanliness of the surroundings, and modesty for Muslim families.
Overall, was just an amazing experience & we are already planning to stay there next time we come with our family. In Shaa Allah.
Truly for us this hotel was our top choice and will not hesitate to come again and repeat our stay.

The atmosphere is good, as a muslim, i love the ambience of this hotel very peaceful n calm.
We stayed 4 nights with family (4 rooms), and the experience was unacceptable from start to finish.
It was a fantastic experiance, and wuld highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city.

The hotel caters to Muslims because no alcohol or pork products but other religions are welcome.
This hotel is poorly managed, badly maintained, and far below the standard it claims.
However, their pricing is so good, this is something no one should complain about.

Overall it was a good experiance specially, If you are travelling with family
We were looking for a halal property and this was perfect for us.
On Google, this is listed as a 5-star hotel, but it isn't.

Love the luxurious feel when u step into the hotel and room.
Will come here again the next time we are in Bangkok.
This hotel is not 5 star hotel, its max 4 star.

Had a wonderful 5D4N stay at Al Meroz Hotel Bangkok.
I would stay again and would recommend it for friends.
Al Meroz Hotel is an excellent choice for Muslim travelers.

We Love the hotel and the staff are nice too.
The front entrance and the hotel lobby were really beautiful.
I love everything from the hospitality, cleanliness and breakfast.

This is certainly not a five-star hotel as advertised.
And there is an option for delivery from restaurants.
Hotel is good clean is not as expected

The hotel needs some love as its old.
Definitely will recommend for halal & family friendly
Very noble kind of hotel and ambience.

Rooms: What guests say
View Al Meroz Bangkok255 relevant reviews
Rooms are often described as spacious, comfortable, clean, and offering good views, but recurring complaints include poor cleanliness, musty smells, ants or other insects, clogged toilets, leaking or unsafe bathrooms, weak soundproofing, noisy or faulty air conditioning, outdated furnishings, and missing basic amenities. Several guests reported room changes and unresolved maintenance problems.

Room big but empty (no carpet, no hotel informations, weak internet, no design/pictures on the wall, small bathroom, old shower head, old used cupboards, weak TV channel signal, no iron).
Tv did’t work wright calling 2 times had to go to front deck no office space had to pay for copying and windows very dirty
Unfortunately, the rating is 5 stars, which it does not deserve based on what I saw of old furniture and dirty bedding

Cleanliness issue - I found a strand of hair on the bathtub when i entered the room - attached under photos
When we returned to our room, we were shocked to find the door left open and a watch missing.
Again room change and finally assigned room 1007. After a long flight this was really frustrating and unexpected

The room was spacious but upon closer inspection, some things were indeed outdated and not properly cleaned
I booked 3 rooms.. they only provided one pair of slippers on the first day only.
The shower head did not work properly, many a times due to low water pressure.

Rooms are Clean and for us we found good two connected room together for Kids.
And the last point is that the soundproofing of the rooms is weak.
Unfortunately, the showers were dirty and there were many hairs in the shower.

The wooden decorations in the rooms have ants (termites or wood ants).
The temperature in the room was just right (despite the non-perfect aircon)
No rails to hold on to and all about safety issues.

You can hear people next room talking & the Door sound
What I didn’t like were the in-room service and facilities.
We were upgraded to a deluxe room with city view.

Guest room and bathroom maintained to a spotless standard
The hotel it’s Hundreds of ants in our room
Terrible mold build-up in the bathrooms, reflecting poor upkeep.

Also, the dining tables in the breakfast area.
The room was full of ants and mosquitoes.
Unfortunately, there is still carpet in the room.

The sink needed fixing to drain water.
The rooms are too old and dusty, the carpet should be thrown away, the bed is uncomfortable, there is a smell of oldness, all the equipment is too old, the bathtubs where all the water drains straight through, the water pressure and especially the temperature of the water that changes every two seconds under the shower, the hygiene products are really cheap and for one person instead of 2.
Exploitation of employees and not giving us the same room until we argued with them, and they requested a deposit, and they sent us a message in the morning that if we left after 12 o'clock, half of the deposit would be deducted 😕

We resorted to having our shoes on in the room, and couldn't bring ourselves to sit on the carpet (when we needed to unpack / pac / etc) and had lay a towel on.
The cleanliness was lacking, and there were no plugs next to the bed, and there were no plugs by the bathroom or full-length mirror, making it inconvenient to prepare while checking my hair.
-"after checking in I was assigned room 706 but it was without power/electr8city. Room was changed to 811 but after entering the room, I was told it had assigned to another customer.

Staff: What guests say
View Al Meroz Bangkok253 relevant reviews
Most reviews describe staff as friendly, helpful, attentive, and welcoming, especially bell staff and named employees such as Giant, Apisit, Anuchit, Eddy, and Thapphisak. Several praise exceptional personal care and accessibility support. However, others report robotic or unfriendly reception, slow service, language and order errors, unexpected charges, room-allocation disputes, and a humiliating checkout accusation.

I arrived early, and was sitting right next to the reception, for 2,5 hours! Nobody came to me, asked me how I am, what am I doing there, if I’m waiting for someone/taxi or check in, offered any help, tea/cofee or even water. That’s not how stuff usually acts in good hotels.
I was also placed in a room on the same floor / hallway as the Australian futsal team who chose to do some loud team meeting / bonding session and play video games in their rooms with the doors open, shouting at each other from room to room.
Exploitation of employees and not giving us the same room until we argued with them, and they requested a deposit, and they sent us a message in the morning that if we left after 12 o'clock, half of the deposit would be deducted 😕

They even forced us to open all our bags for inspection in front of them – nothing was found, of course – but the entire process was humiliating and insulting.
When we arrived in the evening after a long dayout, there were none doormen or bellboy to help open the big door for us with small kids.
We acknowledged and really appreciate the warm welcome and excellent hospitality given by the overall staff led & given by Mr Apisit lamchaeroen.

The lobby staff and the doormen were all very friendly and super helpful with tips on places to go / eat.
We also experienced unhelpful male receptionist (19 December, around 9.15pm) when we asked for help to get us a taxi.
The service from the restaurant employee was bad, they made us pay because the room card was lost

Staffs were super helpful. they went beyond their expected duty and always looked for opportunities to help.
We found the door staff a little aggressive in trying to sell us the “tourist” activities.
Very helpful bellman that helps with recommending, booking and arranging with our plans in bangkok.

We asked help from the receptionist due to none of the bellboy to be around.
I stayed in many 5- star hotel in various countries but never experienced this.
Staff not friendly we asked for a Panadol table they told to go Pharmacy

They make you feel homey and always started conversation soon you bumped into them.
The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, making you feel welcome right away.
When we arrived, the telephones were faulty but front desk resolved this immediately.

Tq for the super nice service & treat us like a family.
I spoke with the Duty Manager and he apologised on that.
While the staff were great and made me feel welcome.

The staff are super attentive to us at all times
The staff Eddy was very nice, friendly & helpful.
Staff at the hotel are amazing, always helpful.

The staff were very friendly, apart from one.
Pleasant stay with attentive reception and restaurant staff
Very nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff.

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
The staff are all excellent and friendly.
Staff were friendly and helpful throughout.

Location: What guests say
View Al Meroz Bangkok209 relevant reviews
The location suits Muslim travelers, with nearby halal restaurants, mosques, and prayer facilities, plus metro access and convenient airport connections. However, it is consistently described as far from central Bangkok, shopping malls, nightlife, and major attractions; walking options are limited, taxis face heavy traffic, and some guests report highway noise and poor soundproofing.

The location is somewhat far from the vital centers... What makes it difficult is the significant time it takes to travel between the hotel and those centers... It is important for the hotel management to consider finding a solution to this issue.
As a muslim First Thing before coming to Thailand was to find Halal food so we found that it is Halal Hotel so we were relax in finding all Halal foods in this Hotel, Good Breakfast, Near to so many Halal Restaurants.
The hotel is somewhat far from the city center, but there is a train station about a five-minute walk from the hotel, and taxi prices are reasonable; if you use apps, it is much cheaper.

You might find the hotel (and maybe the area) suitable if your a Muslim but in terms of hotel amenities and logistics. It's average to poor.
You have to walk 8-10 minutes to the station, take a 15-minute ride, and transfer to another train to reach the city center.
It is far away from the center and other places like ICONSIASM , Asiatique market, the central mall and MBK.

Location a little bit far from central but easily overcome by easy public transport especially taxi is easily available.
Just felt it was a bit distant from the main central shopping district but it was worth it.
A bit far from the center, but right across from the hotel there is a bus stop.

The location is not the best, the view from the window is mostly highways or slums
Location is little away from the commercial areas, but transports are available all the time.
When the traffic was bad, it took hour to reach the hotel from the city.

It takes 20 minutes to get to the center from the station for 60 Baht.
I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming environment.
The road from the station to the hotel is quite an adventure on foot.

Price was fair but not exactly a great location for exploring the city.
These are not complaints about the hotel, but rather about the city.
Hotel size and how it was close to the metro 🚇

Location: Far from Arab Street, the Gulf Hotel is approximately located.
This place is great close to lots of halal options..
Reasonable price and the bult program will take you anywhere

Convenient location, nearby: 7/11, delicious cafe 'Sophia', sky train station.
Huge Mosque is across the road less than 5min
The location is far from vital and tourist areas.

Nice hotel, near the RailLink to the airport.
The location and size were very good.
The hotel location not far shopping centre

Just takes a little bit more time.
It is far from lively places
It was easy to get taxis.

Breakfast: What guests say
View Al Meroz Bangkok206 relevant reviews
Breakfast is frequently praised as tasty, varied, halal, and including Thai, international, fruit, bread, and vegetarian choices, with service from 6 a.m. However, many guests report repetitive menus, limited Western or Middle Eastern options, and insufficient variety for longer stays. Recurring complaints include crowded, chaotic service and occasionally cold food; one review reported a cockroach near fruit.

Hot dish selection could be more improved if the variety of hot dish can have other options rather than with chicken based menu items mostly - add more healthier options/ other or special menus each breakfast for those who stay 3 to 7 days longer.
It was not too bad for those who stay for short stays like 3days but for long term stays, it does get a little monotonous, great selection nevertheless but rather repetitive, only one or two items where changed up.
- At breakfast, I was told that the omelette was vegetarian, yet there were pieces of ham in it; surely it was not the server's bad intention, but shouldn't a halal hotel also be aware of other dietary preferences?

The breakfast, despite the large size of the buffet, does not generally suit the taste of Gulf guests in particular with respect to what they eat for breakfast (and this is not a criticism of the buffet).
The breakfast does not meet expectations; although it's halal, the Thai items have not changed even though I stayed for more than 11 days eating only eggs and fruits. I do not recommend their breakfast.
Additionally, it was unfortunate that breakfast ends exactly at 10:30 AM, which meant that after tiring days, for example from excursions, we did not have the chance to sleep in properly and still enjoy breakfast.

With a wide variety of fruits, thai food, drinks, desserts to choose from and pretty much anything you were craving, you could find.
The breakfast package for the trip, since we were leaving early in the morning for the airport, exceeded our expectations
Wasn’t much of a variety for breakfast, the options for breakfast were more so something you’d eat for dinner.

Breakfast buffet was okay - but the Bread and Butter Pudding at breakfast was an absolute winner!!!
I had a very unpleasant experience at this hotel, especially during breakfast at their restaurant.
Breakfast is limited and juices and fruits are not fresh; it's almost entirely pastries

Breakfast had allot of nothing - the buffet spanned wide however not much variety.
The breakfast was also great with a buffet that had something for everyone.
Last time i stayed, they had miso soup n other japanese foods.

We loved breakfast, plenty of options, a lot of food, good coffee
The breakfast is good but the same food is repeated every day.
(Book breakfast in advance, as it is more expensive at the hotel);

Halal breakfast was very convenient with many items to choose from.
Apart from the breakfast there is nothing good about this hotel.
Food: Varied and halal, but mostly Asian and repetitive, not Arabic.

Breakfast so-so, I have questions to the quality of food.
It was absolutely unacceptable and raised serious hygiene concerns.
The breakfast had a limited selection but was okay.

Breakfast at Diwan restaurant more variety for food
Hearty and varied breakfasts, all food is halal.
They should have more variety for breakfast.

The breakfast is varied, good, and halal
I greatly enjoyed the halal breakfast buffet.
Breakfast are almost the same everyday.

Facilities: What guests say
View Al Meroz Bangkok102 relevant reviews
Facilities are praised for the elegant, spacious lobby, clean rooms, comfortable beds, halal food, prayer room, gym, pool, and accessibility wheelchairs. Recurring drawbacks include only two slow elevators serving many floors, aging facilities needing renovation, inconsistent hot water, slow Wi-Fi, limited room amenities, and housekeeping failing to replenish towels, water, or toiletries.

- It should be clear from the hotel description, but here's another reminder: the hotel is well connected to BKK airport via the Airport Railway Link - it definitely takes 40-70 minutes by train to reach all typical destinations in the city.
The accommodation should inform that the swimming pool is closed for maintenance on the day of check-in, because we brought the kids specifically to use the pool after driving all day.
They even have wheelchairs for the elderly located at the lobby which was perfect for my parents and the hotel staff would wheel them from the lobby to their rooms.

I had to print my plane tickets. They charged me money for this. Exactly 10 baht per piece of paper. I expected they could do this as a service.
The entrance e door handle after our room 1504 were broken and to enter took us several times trying before finally getting able to open it
I requested ice, and there was a fee of 42 baht. This is the first time in my life I've seen this action in a hotel.

As a result, we had no additional towels, water, or amenities for the remainder of our stay beyond what we requested during our first hour.
Hotel guests are supposed to get a discount if they eat at the hotel, but I found out that they added 17% to the bill.
The hotel is tired, for a 5-star, it's at most a 4; a small pool for such a hotel, no sauna or hot tub.

And they are a bit stingy when it comes to providing water for the rooms, even though it's categorized as a 5-star hotel.
And when I refused to take the ice, they told me, 'Well, I printed the bill, you have to take it by force.'
Had an issue with laundry where my laundry was returned unwashed but the hotel sorted it out for me after I complained.

The equipment is old, and you can see signs of wear and tear everywhere; the carpet in the room looks really dirty.
Internet is slow, doesn't work in some areas of the hotel and is just all around not fit for purpose.
The only thing to comment was the showers facilities. it was not bad but could be better.

The pictures do not match reality at all; the hotel is old and needs renovation.
The prayer room is clean and spacious, and there is a place for ablution.
Only two elevators available to serve 15 floors, which may cause delays

Nice and fantastic Hotel with Muslim Culture and all facilities are accordingly.
The charges of the buffet, it expensive compared to other nearest hotels.
The rooms didn't have irons but can just ask the housekeeper.

It is not possible to change the temperature on the AC
Hotel management need to do more maintenance of the hotel.
The food and pool was night like the pictures.

Provided us a late check-in and late check-out.
The amenities in the room are few
Spaces and comfy with friendly staff

The TV was not working properly.
The price corresponds to the quality.
Prayer room is fantastic facility.

Restaurant: What guests say
View Al Meroz Bangkok63 relevant reviews
Halal food is the hotel’s most repeated advantage, with extensive breakfast and nearby halal restaurants, especially Sophia. Guests generally praise the food, though some report limited variety, high prices, no 24-hour dining, and inconsistent service, including a late room-service order left on the floor that resulted in no dinner.

The food is halal, so you don't have to worry when you go to hotels where the food isn't halal; it's exhausting to see that you can't eat from them. Also, the staff are very friendly and provide us with any assistance we need.
Manager of the restaurant was extremely mean, charged me 100 baths for using their microwave to warm up food for two minutes that was brought by a friend from outside.
The rooftop restaurant only exists in the words of the people at the reception and in the photos in the elevator, we never made it there in two days,

- In the country of Thailand, it is important for me that the food is halal. This is what I found at the "Al-Mirath" hotel. Halal and clean.
Right next to Sophia halal restaurant. The food was amazing esp the coconut cream cake. And many more halal restaurant options just around the hotel itself!
But yes when i shown my disappointment the incharge cancelled the price but i was not provided dinner as it was closed by then.

The hotel was a definite choice because it is halal-friendly, therefore we do not need to worry about breakfast and our other meals.
It features an Islamic character and halal food in the restaurant, and there is a prayer room for men and another for women.
Restaurant Manager also came upon to apologise on the hotel's behalf and offered a free complimentary breakfast for my family which I declined.

You have within walking distance of about two 7Eleven stores and one of the best restaurants serving halal Thai food (Sophia's restaurant)
It is not money, it is inappropriate allowing someone to forged my signature & billed me, I felt unease paying this bill.
Convenient for muslim guests to get food and have ease of mind knowing the beverages and food served are halal certified.

The halal certification is amazing! Being able to eat halal food without any worry is a big plus point.
There is a great halal restaurant named Sophia which had one of the best steaks I've ever eaten.
Room service is always on point, and they always provided us with an excellent choice of food options.

You can find a nice restaurant (Sophia) next to it serving halal local food at an affordable price.
The hotel offers a fully halal restaurant and an extensive halal breakfast buffet, which is very pleasant.
I ordered room service- menu : One Chicken fried rice and one egg at 9:50 pm.

The order came and to our shock it was kept on the floor without informing us.
In the surrounding area, the few restaurants closed at 8 PM, and almost all were Halal..
The hotel offers halal food options, which is great for guests who prioritize halal cuisine.

There is a really good halal restaurant nearby called Sophia just a few steps away.
Next to the restaurant, there are also a lot of other halal-friendly restaurants.
The food from the ala carte menu at Diwan restaurant was really good.

The food is halal, so you can eat without hesitation.
Overly Overpriced restaurant and cafe compared to thailand prices.
They also have a Halal Korean BBQ restaurant.

Stayed four days and sick of the food.
Halal food, staff, proximity to the airport
It’s food is only halal nothing else.

Pool: What guests say
View Al Meroz Bangkok52 relevant reviews
The rooftop pool on the 16th floor offers attractive city views, especially at night, and women-only morning hours are appreciated by some guests. However, it is repeatedly described as very small, with few loungers, odd or restrictive schedules, and family swimming often unavailable until after noon. Dirty or blurry glass and occasional cleanliness concerns also recur.

Suggest to add a family pool time along with femal and male, since i have 2 kids (2y/o boy and 10months baby girl), and i needed my husband to also join us for the swim - coulndt manage both at a time since they are so young.
This should have been a halal hotel, where women should have the pool to themselves until noon, unfortunately there were always men at the pool who wanted to take photos with their wives, etc...
The swimming pool had limited morning access due to family bookings, and it would be better if there were separate pool times for families and other guests.

The pool is a bit small for how large the hotel is; also, the glass that creates the 'infinite pool view' was a little blurry.
It is worth noting that they have a beautiful system where the pool is open for women only from 6 AM to 10 AM.
Make sure to visit the rooftop pool (I only found out about it when checking out of the hotel).

The glass on the rooftop pool was really dirty, I had hoped to enjoy the view from the pool.
The swimming pool on the 16th floor was a super attractive bonus and it made our kids really happy.
That the pool usage in the morning is primarily intended for Muslim women was not mentioned anywhere :-(

This is the only reason i felt so dissappointed, and might not revisit since my kids love pool.
The swimming pool for family were only after 12pm, which by then we are about to go out.
An extra plus is that the pool is exclusively accessible to women every day until 12 noon.

Nice rooftop infinity pool but not the greatest view as it's in somewhat of an industrial area.
But, we were requested to stop for our swim and the staff said "no family swim".
Then, why has the hotel build a kid pool if it is not for a family.

The pool is great but timetables for men, woman and families - which didn’t suit us.
There is only one outdoor pool not as advertised 2 pools, one indoor and outdoors.
There is time for females in the swimming pool and time for family and male

You can't access the pool in the morning, there are some women's hours until 12,
Small pool usable only during certain predetermined time slots with separation between women and men.
The pool was nice and had an option for ladies to swim every morning.

Women have access to the rooftop pool only from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
The pool and restaurant are on the 16th floor with an amazing view.
The pool is small and from morning until 12 is only for women.

The pool is tiny, literally just four sun loungers next to it.
Only ladies can use the pool from 7 AM till noon.
The view from the infinity pool was very nice.

Pool was not available, could be a little cleaner.
No family swim at a pool. So disappointed.
However, quite dissappoint for the pool part.

Check-in / Check-out: What guests say
View Al Meroz Bangkok47 relevant reviews
Check-in is often quick and friendly, with some guests receiving complimentary early access, but early check-in fees of 1,000–2,000 baht were repeatedly disputed. Checkout commonly involved waiting for room inspections, while guests also reported confusing communication, breakfast discrepancies, duplicate or incorrect charges, and inconsistent late-checkout arrangements.

Also we were not sure if the hotel do not had any storage room because we checked out from the room at 1pm and asked for our luggages to be stored in their storage room as we only going to the airport at 4pm.
We booked online for 4 nights for a total of 12,600 Thai Baht, which is an average of 3,150 Baht per night. Upon arrival, we added one more night at the reception and they charged us close to 8,000 Baht for the room.
I requested to extend for an hour after checkout time because my flight was at 11 PM, and it was strongly refused by the receptionist who speaks Arabic, even though I stayed with them for 6 days and they did not appreciate that.

Got a call from reception at 11:30am ask about would you like to stay more night or check out, I ask them back what time is check out, she said 1200 so what the reason to call???? Very annoying 😑 and unprofessional.
I requested early check-in, and the hotel responded that it depends on room availability. When we arrived, the rooms were available, but they asked me for 1000 baht per room, even though they didn’t mention this on the Booking site.
There was a miscommunication on late check out apparently it was subject to availability. At the time, I already booked midnight flight due to this & was a bit upset. They were very helpful & rectified it immediately.

However, when I called the front desk shortly afterward to request transportation, I was told the van was not available and that they could call a Grab for me — something I can easily arrange myself.
At checkout - the reception requests to wait for room inspection as in some small family guesthouse, even though we inform them that we are in a hurry for our flight.
The night before departure, I made the mistake of asking for a later (3 PM instead of 12 PM) check-out for an additional fee, as my child is sick.

I was asked to provide passports for each member of my family (usually I only have to provide mine upon check in) and they made copies of each.
We had to wait for check out while they checked our room which took a while, and our taxi was outside - unnecessary slow checkout process.
Arrived at the hotel after a very long flight from the Uk, checked in early and had to pay for early check in which was understandable.

Our door lock battery died in the middle of the night and had to have them fix it so we could get back into our room.
Upon check-in, staff informed us that the hotel offers van service and that we simply needed to notify them 30 minutes in advance.
Check-in was stressing and confusing, because 6 receptionists were standing there only for us, all of them talking to us.

We arrived too early for the actual check-in time, but they kindly gave us a room without any extra charge.
It's inconvenient that there's no sign to hang outside to inform the staff that the room doesn't need cleaning today!
Room was available and ready and i have to wait in the lobby to check in at 12 PM.

When we attempted to clarify, the reception pushed the blame to the booking platform instead - no apologies given.
If you haven't had dinner by 10 PM, you won't be able to have dinner anywhere nearby,
I do not recommend booking the hotel at the reception as it is prone to exploitation.

I did not contact the front desk about any of this when I was on site.
As if all guests were queuing up for check-in at 2 PM on the dot.
Kittkan Apisit helped me, and thanks to them for the assistance and modifying the reservation.

They asked me 2000 Thai Bhat at 10 AM morning as earlier check in.
I had specifically booked for breakfast included room rates through booking.com.
Only at exactly 2 PM was the booked room ready 🤷

But unexpectedly they charged us 1000B for early check in.
Room service for food till late night is not available.
On the day of arrival, we arrived at 10:45.

Transport: What guests say
View Al Meroz Bangkok35 relevant reviews
The hotel is near the Airport Rail Link, typically a 5–8 minute walk, and about 15–20 minutes from the airport by train or Grab. However, roads are congested, central attractions require taxis, and some guests found hotel transport expensive or problematic. Airport shuttle promises were repeatedly reported as unclear or unfulfilled.

One told me to take a taxi and NOT the metro train as I would indeed arrive at the destination quicker when I needed to go somewhere which was going to shut soon on my first night
When I booked the hotel 3 months before coming I told them to pick up me from the airport but they didn't answer at all, although I sent email many times.
I called a day tour taxi driver from the hotel, and he was commissioned and overcharged for the cost of renting a boat, lunch, and massage at the water market.

Perfect its a 5 minute walk from the trainline so taxi wasnt the only option for transport, when using a taxi the hotel was very helpful in arranging.
This was one of the main reasons we booked here and are very disappointed tbT we did not get what we were told we would when we booked.
A taxi concierge service would be helpful for some of the families, as we have to come down and wait in the lobby until a taxi comes.

They do not accept any foreign currency, only converting dollars, of course, less than what is on Arab street but by a small percentage.
The only thing is that it is not near bts or mrt, hence we had to take a Grab/ taxi to go central.
They gave me a remark that the transportation will be free from the airport to the accommodation but the hotel doesn't answer.

On our flight home we asked the counter in advance for the same thing and they said they didn’t have a shuttle.
The most convenient mode of transport to the hotel was by grab or taxi for my family relying on strollers.
Though there are hotels that charge in dollars, which is better for those holding a card with dollar currency.

Needed taxi the door man said Uber is cheaper got his friends crooks changed 3 times of taxi.
Pls do bring ur own adaptor to charge ur fone as it is 2 pin type.
We relied on the air port shuttle service that was advertised when I booked the room.

The nearby Airport Rail Link is quite a walk with uneven roads - not convenient.
It is also essential to introduce a delivery service from the hotel to various locations.
Fortunately the driver agreed to send us to our destination after agreeing to a fee.

Along the way, we realised the distance booked to our destination was very far away.
The distance to go see things, there is no public transport to take us around
I called in advance and was told someone would pick us up- no one came.

Bolt was booked by one of the concierge staff but the location was wrong.
8 minutes walk from the Airport Link, even with luggage the path is doable.
Distance from city centre (need to take ARL 3-4 stations till Phaia Thai station)

The traffic is heavy on the way to most of the famous malls
If you want to pay by card, they only charge in baht.
It would be good for the hotel to have a Shuttle service.

The taxi service at the hotel is a scam.
Imagine if we were told to alight.
Metro nearby, 8-10 minutes on foot

Gym: What guests say
View Al Meroz Bangkok12 relevant reviews
The gym meets basic needs and is suitable for running, but recurring complaints describe it as small, old, poorly maintained, and in need of upgrading. Guests reported defective equipment, only one working treadmill on some days, foul-smelling dirty dispenser water, smelly towels, and disruptive redecoration.

Also oy the last day when I went to the gym room, they doing some redecorated, that not good for me focus to doing gym!
Good for a run but some other stuff was so old it could not be used.
Fitness - old, malfunctioning machines, dirty drinking water in the dispenser, smelly towels.

On the second and third day, only one treadmill was working.
Gym facilities and equipments does meet the basic needs.
Some equipment in the gym is defective.

The gym location is just facing it.
Very bad smell from the dirty water.
I love the place, breakfast, staff, gym,

The gym was a bit old.
The gym was relatively small.
Gym needs to be upgraded.

The hotel has a gym.
Fitness room very poor
Good gym.

Nice gym

Thai massage is available for 300 baht (the same price is available on the street).
Thailand is popular with massage so there is nothing in hotel.
Good to have inhouse massage spa for both ladies and men.

Spa or jacuzzi.
