Reviews overwhelmingly praise Anantara Siam as a tranquil, resort-like five-star oasis in central Bangkok, citing classic Thai design, a beautiful lobby, pool, koi pond, strong dining, convenient location, and exceptionally warm service. Rooms and bathrooms improved after renovations, but ongoing construction caused disruptive noise, dust, smells, and reduced pool serenity for some guests.

It was my 4th time at Antara. Great place. I have always rated it “excellent “, but this time I am afraid their housekeeping was not at its best
The lush tropical landscaping further enhances the resort-like atmosphere, making it easy to forget you're in the heart of one of Asia's most vibrant cities.
The hotel strikes the perfect balance between classic Thai elegance and modern comfort, creating a peaceful oasis in the heart of bustling Bangkok.

Easy walk to shopping and dinning; train stops right outside of hotel making it an easy short hop to MBK shopping mall.
Home to Anan and Tara, the hotel's charming resident duck mascots, it perfectly reflects the tranquillity found throughout the property.
All in all though highly recommend, nice that a long standing hotel is still holding its own. Well done.

There is a bad smell in the hallways and also in the room, the smell of old furniture.
It is like an oasis away from the busy roads and up and down of the streets.
Please don’t spend your money and stay there service 0 and rooms 0 nothing like the pictures.

We have stayed at the Anantara Siam several times now over the space of 10+ years.
Celebrating the festive season with my family at Anantara Siam was truly worthwhile and unforgettable.
My every year chosen hotel Everything was perfect, the staff are amazing and perfect location

I have nothing but good things to say about the Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel.
Overall, it was an almost perfect stay, save for the missing welcome amenity.
The property itself is absolutely stunning but the staff and rooms were incredible.

Came at a time during renovations but can’t blame anyone for that
This hotel is so luxurious yet keeps an element of traditional Thai.
I am very satified on stay hotel, also for the forum attending.

But sad to say, our stay here was not as grand.
Our children had a great time in the kids' club!
Anantara Siam is a perfect example of comfortability and joy

It is expensive but it is a real luxury experience
At this point, we have no desire to return.
This hotel is an incredible price for the value.

The Anantara Siam is a true five star hotel.
There was a dress code to access the lounge and dining which I was little surprised however given the condition of the hotel I can understand that they might not want people wear flip flops to enter the lounge lol as lots business meetings are happening.
We loved staying here, can highly recommend it and will not ever stay anywhere else if and when we visit Bangkok again. We are very grateful to every single member of the hotel for so amazingly creating an awesome and memorable experience for us.

Overall this is truly what you would expect a five star hotel should offer, unlike the other hotels I stayed for the rest of the journey which cost the same if not more yet aren’t as good as this hotel.
Only downside would be the new year eve performance, loud music lasted pass mid night and families with young kids wouldn’t enjoy it very much, but again it was new year eve so it’s understandable.
My time in the hotel was so enjoyable that while the purpose of my visit was to see the sites of Bangkok, I found, on occasion, it hard to leave the hotel, to do so!

Staff: What guests say

Staff are consistently described as warm, friendly, attentive, professional, and eager to help, with outstanding service across reception, lounges, restaurants, housekeeping, spa, and concierge. Personalized assistance, upgrades, translation help, late check-out arrangements, and help for special meals are specifically praised. One guest suggested clearer check-in orientation.

Naret Purswani (Tony), Senior Catering & Events Manger, took special care of us by being very flexible with our requests, always remaining professional, and going the extra mile to make sure our event was everything we wanted it to be.
The staff are amazing, especially the Concierge staff (callout to Sprite, Jam and Mike) who always had a smile and helped us out on many occasions during our stay.
Many thanks to K.Nok and her team at the Lobby lounge, together with K.Meen, K.Bam and K.Thian (Spa Therapist) at Anantara Spa for their outstanding service.

Staff were pleasant, smiled a lot and made us feel welcome and it's nice returning to smiles and cheerful staff after a day out.
The staff at Anantara were an absolute highlight - always smiling and going above and beyond to ensure my stay was wonderful.
Noticed a couple of staff member's who didn't seem too eager to serve us, but reacted completely differently towards other guests.

The staff was extremely helpful with suggestions on the easiest way to get to the sites via the transportation system.
It's clear that the staff take pride in their work — their warm hospitality really made our stay memorable.
From their smiles and morning greetings, to their smiles that extended into the evening with a "goodnight" greeting.

Hard to find a person like this across the hotels that I have stayed in many countries.
When we asked for more "turndown drink", we were told that they only serve it at 6pm.
She was attentive, proactive, and consistently went above and beyond to make sure we were happy.

The remarkable level of personal attention and grace from the hotel staff (while not being intrusive)
Have to mention the frontline team too, who stationed at the main doors greeting guests.
A warm thank you to the Kasara Lounge team for their consistently attentive care,

The service was outstanding from the moment we arrived until we checked out.
They went out of their way to ensure we felt welcomed and comfortable.
The spa receptionist is also very nice and friendly, especially Khun Meen.

Bangkok Anantara made our Christmas holiday one to forget, would never return
Really appreciated and he is truly the gem of Anantara Siam.
Both managers were well aware that this was a recurring problem.

The staff went above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay.
The location, the Staff over all its a good hotel
Staff and service were top notch, so friendly and helpful!

My warm welcome from Mr. Torsten and Khun Narisa
This post would be incomplete if I did not mention POOM from the linen room - POOM bent over backwards to ensure that an urgent alternation that I need to a garment was done and to my complete and full satisfaction in less than a few hour.
Special mention goes to Kim Siah for his vast knowledge of really good food joints and his help in securing reservations. Very patient and bubbly , a service truly from the heart. Kudos to him for a making our stay wonderful and exceedingly pleasant.

As ever, the staff complete the wonderful ambience of the hotel as a whole - this time we were particularly looked after by Kate, Mind & Lyn in the Kasara lounge, and also Kae & her capable team at the main breakfast buffet.
Check in was a little cursory - maybe because I looked like something the cat had drug in after a 13 hour flight- non the less, I was not informed of amenities that would have made my stay more enjoyable.
I had no idea that this hotel would as welcoming as it is, n I must say it’s akin to a second home - thanks for extending to me all the comforts i could ask for as your guest

Rooms: What guests say
View Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel191 relevant reviews
Rooms are repeatedly praised as spacious, clean, comfortable, well-maintained, and equipped with excellent beds, bathrooms, and amenities. Newly renovated rooms are especially elegant, with features such as Japanese toilets and Dyson hairdryers. However, some rooms remain dated, with occasional poor views, weak sound insulation, renovation-related noise, pests, or air-conditioning problems.

We were put in a room with hammer drills going on while we were trying to sleep and then moved to another room only to be woken by someone vacuuming in the corridor at midnight.
The bed was extremely comfortable, the well stocked bathroom and roomy shower in addition to attentive and timely response from staff to requests contributed to a feeling of being pampered and well taken care of.
The one day we complained about this and they then sent someone who just changed the towels and threw them in bathroom but left room service old food etc all on floor inside room.

The bathrooms showed age with cracking grout in the bathtub and mirrors with rusting spots, and the toilet did not have the electronic bidets common throughout 3-5 star hotels in SE Asia.
Bed is too springy and our view is looking at the plants service area, really not nice with the kind of money we paid for.
We were delighted with a complimentary room upgrade as part of the Unforgettable Journey experience, which made our stay feel extra special.

Went for the club room, which came with a load of extras , afternoon tea, drinks for a couple of hours.
Out of 2 room, one smelled very bad (humidity and mold) they had a machine to treat the air inside
We came back from an evening out to find our bed had been turned down and slippers laid out.

Room not clean badly stained carpet and not enough provisions for the number of guests in the room
He asked us to collect all our luggages and move to the lower room at 1 midnight !!!
The rooms were nice but the age of the hotel is very much showing in the rooms.

There was a welcome note, fruit basket and a chocolate bar awaiting in the room too.
The price is an absolute bargain for such a large room (even at entry level).
I think the soft furnishing and carpets can do with a little bit of steaming.

From the comfort of the rooms to the warm hospitality, everything was beyond expectations.
Everything from the room, hospitality was perfect from check in to check out
I booked the hotel as it states beds n NOT one rolling bed.

The luggage was already in the room after the check-in was completed.
Bed is super comfy. very clean. 2x house keeping everyday. nice smell.
The room is big and clean with the basic essential toiletries.

And the bed - the best I've slept on so far!
La chambre a mal vieilli dommage par rapport au reste.
The ironing boards need to be replaced. They were bad.

The toilets are a bit dated and require renovation.
The room - spacious, elegantly decorated with Thai elements.
The wifi not good and disconnected a day

The hotel itself is beautiful with large rooms.
The room itself was gorgeous and spotless.
Well designed room and tastefully decorated interior.

Location: What guests say
View Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel180 relevant reviews
The hotel is exceptionally central, with the BTS about two minutes away and major malls, restaurants, attractions, and Lumpini Park walkable. Guests repeatedly describe it as peaceful despite Bangkok’s bustle, with a safe, convenient setting. However, reported late-night events and undisclosed pool closure and renovation noise may affect some stays.

So overall, with an extensive amount of stay in Thailand and on other good and cheaper hotel, i can say that you better book somewhere else and just come to visit the place and take a drink.
It is located very close to a BTS station and very convenient to go out, although you can walk to Erawan Phum for just 5 min and Central World shopping mall as well.
Location was okay, about 10 minutes walk to four face Buddha but needed to take BTS 2 stations to go MBK or about 25 minutes walk to platinum mall and CentralWorld.

Being within easy walking distance of the BTS Skytrain made it incredibly convenient to explore Bangkok's attractions, shopping and restaurants while still returning to the calm atmosphere of the hotel.
The city’s infamous traffic is not much improved with fewer tourists so the convenience of the excellent skytrain system in getting around is what makes the Anantara a great choice.
I have stayed in many hotels surrounding this place for 2 decades and after visiting riverside last year I thought it would be a great option.

It’s ok but too noisy, I can hear the next room, and when the housekeeper cleans the nearby rooms, I hear the noise and can’t sleep.
To make matters worse, the hotel failed to disclose that the pool would be closed during our stay, and that renovations would cause significant noise.
The hotel is walkable to most places, yet a quiet heaven (from the noise and crowd of the city) as soon as you step in.

Just minutes walk to Central world and easy access to the local Platinum mall, you wont run out of things to do.
The vague booking.com notice was not enough to make us aware — we would have stayed elsewhere if fully informed.
Comfortable but took a day to understand the layout and how close we were to the malls, etc.

The hotel’s location right next to a BTS station made it very easy to get around Bangkok.
It's also in a great location lose to a big shopping centre with plenty of food.
Perfect location near to restaurants, lovely shops and also Lumpini Park. All a walk away.

Outside the hotel, the area is very noisy, with heavy traffic and significant air pollution.
Located in central Bangkok close to shopping and feeling safe strolling around the city.
Fantastic locations - easy to walk around to sights and rail also very close.

Very convenient location, only walking distance from great shopping and BTS (elevated train).
Also only a 30 minute drive (with NO TRAFFIC) of the BKK hotel.
Excellent location - close proximity to the major shopping malls / restaurants

The hotel's location is incredibly convenient for accessing shopping malls and attractions.
There are often late-night events or parties that may cause disturbances.
It was great having the sky train so close as well.

The location is convenient, close to restaurants and public transport.
The location is convenient for the malls and the airport.
A wonderful short stay at the heart of Bangkok

Close to shopping, restaurant ts and tourist attractions
Will not choose this hotel again in Bangkok.
I was drawn to the convenient location.

Breakfast: What guests say
View Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel152 relevant reviews
Breakfast is repeatedly praised for exceptional variety, fresh Thai and international dishes, quality, and attractive settings such as the colonial dining room, gardens, and ponds. Recurring criticisms include limited or repetitive selections during longer stays, cold food, queues, slow coffee service, bland hot chocolate, and too few vegetarian or vegan choices.

I felt that service during breakfast was quite bad, I requested coffee, but only after asking for 2nd time, they brought coffee, and I was already finishing my meal, it happened two days in a row.
It’s great because you can order anything, but you have to order it, so you can’t grab your own cup of coffee and have to wait for sometimes very busy staff to order and bring it.
Good breakfast buffet, although a lot of Chinese stay at the hotel., so if you're not used to lots of shouting and bad table manners at 6.30am then go somewhere else fir breakfast.

While the food at breakfast was passable, having to move between 3 different areas is a problem and with no explanation of the menu on the table.
If breakfast area is very busy with lots of people - sometimes they forgot to give your orders ie tea or coffee or al a crate menu
The breakfast selection was the best I have ever had in any hotel in terms of the range of choice and the quality of the food.

When we went to pick up food for a second time the staff remove all our food on the table despite our belonging were still here.
When we went to pick up food for a second time the staff remove all our food on the table despite our belonging were still here.
The breakfast has an excellent selection of quality product, however, the food could be warmer and it does seem at times more organisation is required.

On our last day, they also surprised us again during breakfast with a “Happy Farewell” pancake, which was such a sweet and unexpected gesture.
Had breakfast and evening cocktail at Kasara Lounge the next day and it was nice trying local wine during evening cocktail.
Breakfast spread is delectable and I like the fact that there is a separate menu for ordering (all inclusive)

On one of the days we came down for breakfast and it was the worst experience ever.
Very good breakfast variety for everyone and best is that chicken and beef were halal.
I often come here to enjoy breakfast, and it’s always a great experience.

Our guests were very impressed with the food, drinks, staff, and ambiance.
The breakfast selection is excellent with a wide variety of choices.
Wonderful breakfast with lots of selections and high quality of foods.

Needed a few more days so sample the entire selection.
The chef at the egg station was not so great.
Breakfast outside by the ponds is a particular highlight.

Breakfast was incredible one of best... quality & variety!
It is western oriented and, of course also Thai/Japanese.
The restaurants as well as the breakfast were extraordinary!

The food has gone downhill, breakfast is cold.
Hotel buffet breakfast was not worth the price.
From the checking in to the breakfast,

Breakfast area has a pond with fishes.
One of the best breakfast spreads.
The breakfast had a good selection.

Facilities: What guests say
View Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel87 relevant reviews
Facilities are widely praised, especially the large newly renovated pool, elegant lobby, gardens, breakfast area, gym and spacious public spaces. However, extensive renovation repeatedly caused paint or chemical odors, dust, construction activity, lift problems and closures of the pool, gym or lounge; some guests also found areas dated, tired or poorly maintained.

The hotel did everything to make sure you were enjoying your time- they were there to answer questions about the city and give recommendations, as well as ensure you had everything in house to make sure your stay at the hotel was smooth and comfortable.
It was inadvertently the perfect time to visit, as the best public spaces - the lobby, pool, gym, Parichart Court breakfast area, and Kasara Lounge - were able to be enjoyed with no crowds of guests!
Facility condition is old, construction work ongoing inside the hotel, workers everywhere in the colidoors, the rooms are old, and either the hotel or booking.com highlighted that construction work is happening at the hotel

I have been frequenting the property over the past 20 years and always admired the distinctive flower decor in the lobby - copied from the past history of the Peninsula Hotel.
We stayed 2 weeks at this hotel, initially one week and after travelling around for a few days, we decided to come back and stay at the same hotel in Bangkok.
Once we visit the hotel he was under renovation, the pool and the gym was closed and they give us the option to use it at other hotel next door.

While the upgrades are necessary, it would be far better for the hotel to temporarily close for a full refurbishment rather than compromising the guest experience with these fumes.
Unfortunately, both the Kasara Lounge and the swimming pool were closed for refurbishment during my visit, which meant I couldn’t fully enjoy the hotel’s facilities this time.
The interior decoration style has not changed in the hotel’s 40 years history and the dark wood panelling especially at the front reception area needs an update.

Hotel under renovation until the end of this year, so no pool / gym facilities for the time being though can use the st regis instead.
The hotel is in rehabilitation and it was not indicated when we booked that there is no swimming pool and gym ant the premises.
I’ve already booked another stay for February next year and look forward to enjoying the full range of facilities once refurbishments are complete.

Our room was on the 2nd floor, conveniently close to the Kids’ Club and within easy walking distance to the swimming pool.
The smell of this avalanche of flowers was so strong that enjoying a light meal in the lobby was out of question.
The pool bar boys are there for your every need, be it drinks, superb cocktails, food or just a few coffees.

I love how serene and calm the lobby atmosphere always feels—it never fails to give me a sense of peace.
Thankfully, aside from a slight paint smell, it was not noisy at all and did not affect our stay.
The hotel is going through a large scale renovation till Dec 2025, no one bothered to tell us.

Since the main doors to the rooms are not terribly well isolated, this is a little problem.
Facilities have come into years, plus there is quite some noise because of surrounding construction sites.
On arrival, one of the lift was not working and they were clueless about it.

2. Lift don’t work, we had to take the stairs up and down
On this occasion we were shocked at the monstruous flower displays.
Fantastic 5 star hotel with excellent location, staff, facilities and services.

Hotel was full with fresh flower, it’s really feeling comfortable
Get told of the pool & lounge renovations.
The amenities, the service, the availability of staff.

Solvent smell very pronounced in public area.
The facilities, location, breakfast and the staff.
The mini bar stock is good.

Restaurant: What guests say
View Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel63 relevant reviews
Dining is a clear highlight: many onsite restaurants offer high-quality food, variety, and strong service; guests especially praise Shintaro, Biscotti, Guilty, Madison, and Sunday brunch. However, brunch is also criticized as overpriced, with lukewarm or overcooked dishes, smaller seafood, lower-quality drinks, and fewer desserts. Some find dining pricey, with declining lounge and café quality.

This was not the case when I was last here spring 2023, but I didn’t mind much since last year I dressed up for dinner and they happily sat me down in the main room, this time I checked in quite late didn’t have time to freshen up and change into anything dressy before rushing in for food so my guess is instead of they just needed to keep it nice and dressy for the main dining area.
The overall food quality is high, and the renowned Sunday Brunch continues to be among the finest in Bangkok, offering an impressive selection of premium seafood and classic luxury staples.
As for our stay, we also enjoyed walking down the stairs to the lobby instead of using the elevator, simply to admire the beautiful mural paintings by Tan Kudt.

The modern Thai style restaurant inside the hotel seems to have rounded people my kind into one corner of the room, leaving the main area mostly for European guests.
Need to be mindful of labeling the food - carelessness leads to allergic reactions and also of one is vegetarian, the food should indeed be marked accordingly.
Then, on December 24, we joined the Christmas Eve Dinner, where the Lobby was transformed into an impressive buffet line featuring a wide variety of dishes.

The in-house restaurants are on the pricey side, but that's to be expected in a 5 star hotel, however many other options in the vicinity.
During our stay, we had Japanese dinner at Shintaro, where the ambiance and service were excellent, and the food and ingredient quality were outstanding.
Had booked the set lunch for the next day at Guilty (one of the restaurant in the hotel) and it was an excellent choice.

Although Thailand has very clear and strict tobacco laws prohibiting smoking in bars, clubs, restaurants and hotels, Anantara Siam permits smoking in the bar.
The restaurants and bars, were refurbished a few years ago and generally have live music which is nice but nothing memorable.
Would say I love the FB outlets as so many choices and of course top restaurants is inside the hotel.

Hotel also provides a wide array of F&B if you prefer to stay in the comforts that this hotel provides.
Each menu came from different outlets within the hotel, and every dish was delicious, made with very high-quality ingredients.
We liked Biscotti food and service excellent, restaurant also cosy so much nicer than Madison where it was cold

In a hotel like Anantra and the prices, the size of the dishes were very disappointing.
This was thanks to Chef Guiseppe, manager Snooky, sommelier Kai, Whan and Mameaw in particular.
Bft at the cafe food was bad as compared to before 1 year ago

The restaurants and bars were also very friendly with great cuisine and bar service.
Pre-dinner cocktails and canapés at the Kasara Lounge were a particular favourite.
Never again this greedy mediocre expensive Brunch of Siam Anantara Bangkok.

The club lounge afternoon tea and the happy hours are great.
Choice and presentation very good (as opposed to other days).
Cooked Foie Gras and Lobster last year served cold.

I enjoyed... the food from the Spice Market restaurant.
The restaurant Guilty is exceptional, especially the cannabis shots.
Definitely go to Guilty Mexican restaurant fabulous!

Very good italian restaurant at Anantara Siam
Stupid molesting Life Jazz Music again.
Super food and beverage outlets.

Pool: What guests say
View Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel50 relevant reviews
Guests repeatedly praise the large, beautiful, usually uncrowded pool as a relaxing Bangkok oasis, with attentive attendants, loungers, towels, ice water, bar service, and even complimentary neck massages. However, renovations sometimes closed it, requiring inconvenient use of the neighboring hotel’s pool; other reviews mention shade, aging facilities, afternoon construction noise, limited deck chairs, and no children’s pool.

I had seen that renovation had been ongoing at the pool and gym and must say it all looks super - that said not sure who made the decision to change this to an exclusive club - not sure how guests fair but 250 k THB for an annual membership ? I just don’t see it - good for those that can afford it (wish I could)
We were there when the pool was closed for renovations, staff kindly arranged us to use the Regis pool next door, but practically this was not very convenient as you had to be dressed and walk there, and then change before and after in the Regis toilets at pool.
Although the pool was closed and the hotel was undergoing several renovations this summer, they also provided the use of the pool in the hotel next door and ensured no renovation would take place during our celebration.

We appreciated the gesture but we would have much preferred to use the hotel pool it’s just nicer and if it’s renovated I’m sure it will be lovely.
The pool is under renovation, so there is noise and if you want a pool, you have to go to the hotel next door.
The pool is not on the sunny side of the hotel or maybe i was in a bad luck of sunshine.

We especially enjoyed the complimentary neck massage by the pool - a lovely touch we had never experienced before.
The gym and pool were wonderful (except construction sounds in the afternoon at the pool - but no biggie)
The newly reopened pool, with its the red umbrellas and black & white tiles, is totally stunning

The pool staff were attentive, found us loungers, laid out our towels and provided ice water constantly.
It could be considered to redo the pool at some point, as it seems quite old.
The pool area is very relaxing and spacious to spend "holiday" time in the sun.

In fact, could have added more deck chairs for guests as it’s always filled up.
Nice pool area for a mid-day break from the heat and hassle of the city.
With the calm oasis of the pool to relax by after exploring the city.

There was also a swimming pool, which I didn’t use, but it looked nice.
Could have updated with a bigger pool with all those concrete space around it.
Loved the pool area - a true oasis in the heart of Bangkok.

The gym and pool facilities were old fashioned and neglected for that level
I used it every day - even just for a quick dip.
Foremost the new swimming pool area are superb and very well designed.

The new handles at the pool get super hot during sunny days.
We were allowed to use the beautiful pool of the adjacent hotel.
But the hotel managed us to swim in St.Regis, which is ok.

Pool needs a refurb however not very inviting (too shaded & mouldy)
Great outdoor pool to unwind after busy days in Bangkok.
The pool area had been redone and is beautiful.

Large pool and a variety of restaurants.
Design is not always a success.
The pool and area around lovely.

Check-in / Check-out: What guests say
View Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel44 relevant reviews
Check-in and check-out are usually fast, smooth, and friendly, with some successful early arrivals and late-checkout assistance. However, experiences are inconsistent: guests report waits from 30 minutes to 3 hours, delayed room readiness, rude or unhelpful staff, denied late checkout, and disputes over upgrades, credits, or extra-bed charges.

Then we politely asked for a late check out since our flight was 1 am that day as we’re “vip gold Expedia members they disregarded that and said no the latest they can do is 1 pm.
Out of 2 room, one smelled very bad (humidity and mold) they had a machine to treat the air inside, and we had to call 7 times to get someone to check the room (1h).
Better cleaning because when i checked in the big table was FULL of small ants walking all around it, so i called house keeping & they cleaned the table all over again

When we first checked in the staff were super rude initially we checked in pretty late but they kept us waiting for so long and told us to wait on the side.
The duty manager offered his apologies and apparently got a team together to go thru the room in case it was misplaced but it was not found.
The lady in the frontdesk told me that the max she can give free of charge is 2 pm then if i need to 4 pm.

Elle also kindly helped arrange a late check-out for us, which we really appreciated as it allowed us to enjoy our final day without rushing.
Check-out was quick and smooth, with the staff member being professional, friendly, and always smiling (Compliments to Khun Nueng - who checked out of us).
And lastly during checkout when I wanted to pay using my GHA credits, ur staff insists I can because I book through a third party.

I come to check in at around 14.10, but i need to wait till around 15.15 to be able to entering my room
Check in was a little cursory - maybe because I looked like something the cat had drug in after a 13 hour flight.
The room was ready by 3pm, and the receptionist saw us sitting at the lobby, but she did not bothered to inform us.

Unable to upgrade our room (I paid upfront 3 months ago and you knew I was arriving at midnight) due to occupancy.
It was too late to ask to went to our room, not escorted(not sure what else you have to do at midnight).
I was then surprised by the way her manager treated me as he said he cant give me any late check out.

This wasn't offered to us - which after 90 mins stuck in a taxi in a traffic jam, would have been appreciated.
Thank you to Jenny on the front desk who helped us with an early check in after arriving very early from London.
We stayed 3 nights arriving late by hotel car from overseas to be greeted at check-in by an incompetent staff member.

I arrived early, around 11 a.m., and was warmly assisted by Khun Koong with an early check-in, a much appreciated gesture.
When i said i am really disappointed and i was not expecting this he just left me and went away.
There should have been no need to call the manager and the lady at the counter should know these rules.

From the check in until the check out we had nothing but excellent encounters with all the team members.
After check-out, we enjoyed A White Christmas Afternoon Tea at the Lobby Lounge, which was beautifully presented and delicious.
When we came to pick up our bags hoping to freshen up a bit before heading to the airport.

It was also afternoon tea-time but I couldn't indulge as I had a dinner appointment on that day.
Surprisingly the check in lady said there was no extra bed but insisted on charging for it
For helping us on the last day during our check-out by making everything easy for us.

I told her to check with her manager if he can do this for me.
Everything from the room, hospitality was perfect from check in to check out
Tan handled my check-in smoothly and was warm and personable throughout.

Gym: What guests say

The gym is repeatedly praised as excellent, very well equipped, comfortable, and among the best hotel gyms reviewers have used, with notable equipment and a squash court. Recent renovations improved it, though some found facilities old or neglected, requested equipment upgrades, and criticized the 250,000 THB annual membership fee for exclusive access.

I had seen that renovation had been ongoing at the pool and gym and must say it all looks super - that said not sure who made the decision to change this to an exclusive club - not sure how guests fair but 250 k THB for an annual membership ? I just don’t see it - good for those that can afford it (wish I could)
The best public spaces - the lobby, pool, gym, Parichart Court breakfast area, and Kasara Lounge - were able to be enjoyed with no crowds of guests!
It would be above and beyond if the gym equipment could be refreshed and upgraded to upkeep with the trend.

The gym and pool were wonderful (except construction sounds in the afternoon at the pool - but no biggie)
The gym is one of the best hotel gyms I have ever been able to have access to.
There is also the best gym facilities I have ever had in a hotel.

The gym and pool facilities were old fashioned and neglected for that level
However was offered the St Regis gym which was a nice touch
The recently updated gym and pool areas are excellent,

Gym membership fees off the charts !
Great equipment and even a squash court.
We enjoyed the gym very much

Gym is very well equipped.
The gym is very good
Fantastic pool and gym facilities.

Comfortable spaces to focus.

Spa: What guests say

The Anantara Spa is frequently described as wonderful, relaxing, clean, and convenient, with praised staff including Khun Thian and Khun Meen. Experiences are mixed: some massages and facials were poor, one caused back pain, and service felt rushed despite a THB9,000 charge for two. Reservations are highly recommended, and it closes at 8 PM.

The spa service not so good....rushing us to change clothes faster after we finished the spa which costs THB9000 for two persons....and no nice snacks and drinks to serve after the spa
The spa was pricey, and the massage didn't meet my expectations, but it was clean and convenient, so I still recommend it.
So instead, we used a spa toilet not too far from our room, which was also blocked most of the time.

I visited with my family (2 elders) and had such a lovely time enjoying... the spa.
The spa inside the hotel was truly amazing, offering a relaxing experience after exploring the city.
My mother had 90 minutes of Stress & Release massage at Anantara Spa.

My mother loved Anantara Spa because of Khun Thian and Khun Meen.
I visited the Anantara Spa and had a wonderfully relaxing experience.
My mother had 120 minutes Aromatherapy Massage at Anantara Spa.

I did massage and facial but unfortunately was not good.
The spa and staff there was great as well.
Advanced reservation is highly recommended for Anantara Spa.

Out of 2 massages, one was poor quality.
Out of 2 massages, one was poor quality.

I had back pain from the massage.

We had a 3 1/2 hour transfer from Hua Hin back to the airport which was cheaper than the 50 minutes from airport to Anantara.
Only gripe is that while airport pickup is convenient for a speedy exit, it is wildly overpriced - THB2800 vs 500 for taxi.
The metro was near just 2 minutes walk and just one stop to the siam area where all the malls are.

Should have shuttle to central world (because i bring baby, and Bangkok temperature is very hot)
You have every option of transportation directly at the hotel, from limousine service to skytrain.
The hotel could consider installing a taxi calling sign at the hotel driveway entrance.

Plus it was less than a 5 minute walk from a SkyTrain station.
Transfer from the airport more expensive when looking at other providers.
I waited too long to get a taxi at the hotel.

Had a hotel mercedes pick us up from suvarnabhumi airport.
There is a bts station next to the hotel.
Perhaps hotel could consider a more reasonable option.

The reception staff can always find a taxi.
