Highly convenient for early flights, with friendly staff, clean facilities, comfortable rooms, and strong service frequently praised. However, major ongoing renovations have caused temporary reception and breakfast areas and replaced the airport bridge with a shuttle. Reviews also cite dated areas, high prices, inconsistent service, and occasional dissatisfaction with breakfast.

I attended a three-day meeting and saw many teams from various departments of the Ministry of Public Health using the services here. It is well-suited for operations under a government budget.
The hotel is very outdated, everything need to be updated especially the plugs and lights, they should have USB ports so it’s compatible to new devices.
Moreover, the rooms are dirty; we still had traces from the previous occupants in the room, which shouldn't happen even in an older hotel

Wanted a couple of days rest before starting my holiday after a really hard travel and it was just what I needed.
5 stars all the way around and for the price I could not have picked a better place to stay.
The only suggestion I have is to upgrade the TV to a smart TV, which would be much appreciated.

I have known the hotel for decades; it used to be THE airport hotel at the old airport.
We did not expect much from a hotel next to the airport, we were very pleasantly surprised.
However, for one night - for the airport you can't beat it and I would use again.

There were some nuances, but the hotel is being renovated precisely because of these small issues.
Comfortable, and if I get the chance next time, I would definitely use the service again.
The hotel building is a bit old and worn but these are not big complaints.

They helped with the suitcases to the room and back. Everything was prompt and friendly.
It was a pretty good accommodation experience, and I will come back next time.
Stay January 18, 2023 = Perfect - Stay February 17, 2023 not as good!

Everything in the hotel was great the staff and hotel itself very convenient.
This was our second stay here and we would definitely come back again.
The service is reliable, friendly, and exactly what a tired family needs.

The hotel is getting a bit tired - could use a reno
All in all, I would come back here for an overnight stay.
But all of this is temporary and done with great care.

The air conditioning could also be a bit tricky to adjust.
An exceptional hotel for a short stay close to the airport
The quality/price ratio is rather high, you pay for the location.

Good but nothing more, needs a bit of modernization, outdated.
Take the lift to Level 3, turn right as you enter the terminal and look for Camden Foods then take the escalator to the 4th Floor, follow the signs for the Observation Deck and you should see the food court.
The only thing that made us not to enjoy our stay so much was the city itself as we thought it was very crowded and dirty, but anyway, the hotel has nothing to do with it!

I would never stay here again - well certainly not until all the renovations have been completed and by this I mean ALL the rooms not just the lobby and they get a better chef.
The price is higher - quality-for-quality by comparison, than even much better hotels in Central BKK as the management's business plan takes advantage of a 'captive audience' obliged for convenience to use its offerings.
They advertise that you can pay by the hour, but when you arrive they tell you that you cannot, and the price is outrageous if you want to pay directly with the hotel.

Location: What guests say
View Amari Don Muang Airport Bangkok1,328 relevant reviews
The hotel is repeatedly praised for being exceptionally close to Don Mueang Airport and convenient for early, late, or connecting flights, with a shuttle available. However, renovation closed the connecting walkway/bridge, sometimes requiring a longer route or 15–20-minute shuttle; the surrounding area is less appealing and far from central Bangkok.

The covered walkway that allows you to reach the airport in a few minutes on foot is the main advantage of this hotel for guests who have a morning flight or who arrive late at night.
It would be great as a base for a few days, although 30 minutes from the middle of town there are ample transport options, with rail, bus and taxi connections to the city.
The biggest advantage of the Amari Don Muang Airport Bangkok is its unbeatable location, right next to Don Muang Airport with a convenient walkway connecting directly to the terminal.

Very convenient location if you have a flight the next morning - direct access to Terminal 1 & 2 via a small bridge (walking time about 3-5 minutes).
It is good for people who have the transfer flight or early flight in the morning because there is the connecting way from airport to the hotel.
It's perfect if you need to spend a night at Don Mueang airport, as you can reach the departure gates in 5 mins across a walkway.

Location to Don mueng airport - enclosed bridge takes you direct from airport to hotel so you do t have to go outside at all
Dark rooms, there's not much around the hotel, it takes about 10 minutes to walk to 7/11, but the selection there is very limited.
The passage from the airport building is a bridge over the road, and previously you could walk directly to the hotel along it.

The hotel has a direct walkway to Don Muang airport, making it ideal for people who have to leave early in the morning.
Very close to the airport and has its own bridge to the check in so you don’t even need to cross the street.
It's consistently our most convenient and comfortable place to land and depart when flying into or out of Don Muang (DMK) airport.

Great for catching a flight the next day at any time and terrible if you book it for a holiday in Bangkok
The location was superb - a short walk across the covered walkway and we were in the check-in area of the airport.
The location near the airport is optimal, especially when you have a very early flight, as was the case for us.

And we understood that if you really want to go to Bangkok, you can get there by taxi in 30 minutes.
300m N to the 7-11 or 500m back to the many restaurants between T1 & T 2 on Level 4.
The accommodation was located directly at the airport and we could easily walk over through a tunnel in the morning.

Directly from the hotel lobby over a private covered bridge straight into the airport building, relaxed over streets and railways.
The best part is that it is connected directly by a private corridor from the hotel to the airport
Connected by bridge with airport you will be at the check in desk in max 10 mins by foot.

The hotel is located right at Don Muang Airport, you can walk directly into the terminal over a bridge.
The immediate proximity to the airport and the direct access walkway to the hotel are a real plus.
There's also a 7/11 just a few minutes walk down the road if you want snacks or drinks.

The directions to the hotel are so well-marked that you won’t need to be worried about getting lost.
The location is very good, just very, very close to the airport, within walking distance. After checking in, it only takes about ten minutes to go back and forth to the airport's 711 if you want to buy something, and they also provide luggage storage, so you only need to carry a few things when you go out, which is very convenient.
Neither the website nor at the entrance to the overhead pass from the airport terminal said that the walkway is currently closed from about 3/4 of the way across and you need to carry your luggage down a long flight of stairs and cross the main road to get to the hotel.

The bridge to the airport is on the 2nd floor of the hotel and the concierge will arrange for your bags to be taken from your room to the bridge making for a seamless step free walk over the freeway to the airport entrance in less than 5 minutes.
The hotel is within walking distance to the airport, which is perfect when you have an early departure. You avoid having to leave very early from hotels in Bangkok and the chance of getting stuck in traffic, which is always heavy.

Rooms: What guests say
View Amari Don Muang Airport Bangkok1,108 relevant reviews
Rooms are frequently described as spacious, clean, comfortable, quiet, and well-equipped, especially after renovation, with large beds and good bathrooms. However, older rooms need updating, and recurring problems include poorly adjustable or noisy air conditioning, bathroom odors, thin doors or walls, occasional cleanliness lapses, and minor maintenance faults during ongoing renovations.

Poolview king #4065 showed some wear but was spacious, carpeted & clean; fully outfitted bathroom with tile/glass shower, full closet(safe), hotpot/coffee/water/refer, a very comfortable king across a large TV with a printed channel guide(Al Jazeera, AXN, BBC, DW, Euro News, NHK, Nat Geo, movie/sport channels, cartoons; all in English, then many Thai channels), easy chair with table, shelf desk with chair, good lighting/good secure wifi, 2 outlets, central AC and large opening window with view of the courtyard pool.
The fact that we booked for an early booking and the room was not available, we were made to change from a room with a view of the pool to another with a rather ugly view behind.
Rooms are 'okay' for one night, unfortunately, especially the bathroom was not particularly clean and the rooms are extremely soundproof (you can even hear the alarm clock of the neighboring room quite well)

The corridors are very long and my room was on the far end of the main lifts .. it was a bit challenging with all my luggage rolling on old carpets.
We are a group of three: 2 adults and an 11-year-old child, and we chose a room with a very large bed, but we got two combined 1.5 meter beds.
All the doors bang or they don't close, so lot's of banging in the night so didn't sleep well at all, noisey guests but that's not the hotels fault.

Very old furnitures and dirty carpet and old room interior and really it is not fair for such perfect location to have such hotel in poor conditions
The bus (shower) and toilet are separated by glass doors, so you can use the toilet without worrying about your feet even after taking a shower.
The rooms are functional, but there are some renovated to a high standard but some still need to be renovated and works are happening now.

A tile barrier ridge to trip over on bathroom entrance 4 inches wide 1 inch in height with sharp edges. Cut instep, stubbed toes.
If you're disabled, ask for a room close to the elevators - I struggled a bit with the distance getting to the room.
The rooms are a little outdated in decor but of course that’s a cosmetic thing and didn’t take away from the stay overall.

At first the room was a little musky but we immediately brought this to the attention of concierge which was immediately rectified.
Parts of the hotel were renovated (lobby, outside, elevator) but places like the bathroom are still a bit older/worn out in comparison.
Terribly cold air from the air conditioning, set it to 30 degrees, but it was still icy cold in the room.

The room and the bathroom are a bit dated, and you can see signs of wear and tear, but nothing major.
We had a connecting room as were a family of five, very comfortable rooms and beds with everything we needed.
The water in the shower in the morning was lukewarm and didn't help to warm up after a cold night.

Waste bucket in the bathroom full of rubbish whish show the room was not cleaned before i checked in
When I went to the room, there were dirty cups from coffee and tea used by the previous guests.
The room is clean and spacious, but I got one on the first floor and there wasn't much daylight.

Generally it was clear the hotel wasn’t new and there was some noticeable wear and tear, but not serious.
Although the hotel is quite old the bed and pillows are amazing and the room and facilities excellent.
As a regular customer, we were given a small part/room of a family room, which was therefore noisy.

There is only ONE PLUG SOCKET in the whole of the room, on the other side of room.
The hotel is in need of major renovations except for the entrance and reception; the rooms have old, dark furniture that has been renovated multiple times, and there is more paint on the walls than plaster. The air conditioning cannot be set to a desired temperature because it always cools to the minimum. The reason is simple: the thermostat is as old as the hotel, which is quite a lot. There could be many more issues to mention.
The bathroom had quite a few black spots and mold stains - and the room clearly showed some signs of wear, but considering the price (which is equivalent to 2 brunches at a café in Copenhagen), one can't complain too much, especially taking the location into account

I booked a large bed and they gave me two small ones; when I complained, they moved me to another room that looked like it had a large bed, but it was actually two small ones with a blanket over them to hide the gap between them.
The air conditioning really needs to be readjusted, facility management! Because 26 degrees still felt like 18 degrees and the Soft setting was actually the Hard setting. And two other settings were Extreme Hard and Hurricane. You don't want to feel strong wind on Soft.
The room is musty, the bathroom smells of sewage, like a broken sewer pipe, and the toilet doesn't flush properly. The cleanliness of the room is very low and not worthy of the price paid and the level of this hotel at all.

Staff: What guests say
View Amari Don Muang Airport Bangkok649 relevant reviews
Staff are overwhelmingly described as friendly, helpful, attentive, professional, and welcoming, often assisting with luggage, airport transfers, flight changes, and special requests. Recurring concerns include occasional slow luggage delivery, unanswered reception calls, poor communication around shuttle arrangements, and isolated complaints about impolite check-in handling or insufficient help during heavy rain and accessibility needs.

I would have given a higher rating but the receptionist said that breakfast would be the same price whether buying at the hotel or through booking, and at breakfast they charged us double! I found that disrespectful.
Top hotel with a nice and large pool, great breakfast and restaurant, and a very friendly reception, great rooms on the 5th floor and only 1000 BHT from the major Bangkok airport.
The staff were so efficient as we had to leave at 3.30 am they had a taxi ready and the bell hop came to take our cases.

Bad service, only one towel for two people, then the drinking water was not replenished and two beers with room service cost me $20 Australian
When asking the staff about getting to the airport, they failed to mention the bridge that leads to the airport from the hotel.
And not to mention the front staff “A” he just went above and beyond so that our trip is at ease.

Even at that hour, there were two friendly and welcoming staff members at the reception desk to check us in.
The staff placed an empty box here, why didn't they check the box to make sure it was tidy?
Our room service “Song” she’s amazing (she got everything that we wanted and our room is super clean).

We ask for take to airport because strong rain they say No because we didn’t make appointment.
-No or very late response on Booking, not professional and you leave people worries with the questions!
Staffs were very friendly especially the cleaning lady who dropped off some treats from the hotel.

Great staff, great food, great location; perfect for flying in and out of Don Meuong.
Even took time to teach me some word in thaï (because I ask for it).
There were a few friendly staff members, but most were neither approachable nor polite.

The hotel had tried their best to accommodate the guests in all aspects
He was exceptionally courteous, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to helping guests feel comfortable.
Just to make a couple of extra bucks from the (overpriced) taxi service.

Excellent and helpful staff but not such a great stay this time.
I am a very patient and understanding person, but she was rude.
The staff was exceptionally helpful in getting my belongings back to me

Check in was Quick and staff at the reception very nice
There were no false smiles like you can get at times.
His excellent hospitality truly enhanced my experience at the hotel.

No explanation of pool times or restaurant or anything else.
Front desk receptionist all very kind n friendly very professional especially khun Kwan khun kann khun manow khun almond khun pong chamber maid khun nana n khun toom all very helpful n kind gave me a very good experience during my stay at amari n khun A she is very professional n helpful may yr company general manager or hr department give them good commendation praise for their good job all staffs in armari is very kind n good to me it's my honour to know all of u n I will continue to stay at armari don mueng forever thanks
The staff member at check-in had very poor manners: I booked 2 rooms with breakfast through Booking, but the staff couldn't find the breakfast included in the reservation. I emphasized twice that my booking included breakfast, but the staff did not believe me and asked to see the list on the Booking app. When I opened it for her, she did not look at it. Instead, she told me to wait a moment, then she did not click anything on the computer and eventually seemed to find the reservation. Finally, she was able to check me in.

What bothers me the most is that the staff member did not even bother to feel sorry or say a word of apology. After completing the check-in, she didn't tell me where the breakfast room was located or what time it opens and closes. I have never encountered such low manners from a welcoming staff before.
The attitude of the staff who moved the luggage was poor; I don't know if they were too tired or unhappy, but they had a grim face and were very rude when handling the luggage, bumping the suitcase against the cabinet.
The housemaid who come to apologize was such a sweet lady we felt sorry for her and apologized to her, for bringing her in trouble because management blamed her for not checking the balcony doors after moving to the 2nd room.

Breakfast: What guests say
View Amari Don Muang Airport Bangkok530 relevant reviews
Breakfast is overwhelmingly praised for its extensive, fresh Asian and continental variety, live egg/noodle stations, and vegan or gluten-free options. Recurring drawbacks include crowded dining rooms and long coffee queues, limited vegan choices, poor bread or missing items such as cheese and smoked salmon, high pricing, and one reported prepaid-breakfast substitution with Starbucks credit.

As for breakfast, it was unfortunate not to have had the time to enjoy it; in fact, few times you see buffets so well-stocked, but flights don't wait...
The breakfast was good by in a hotel in this range, I would expect fresh, real coffee rather than something from a machine.
The next day, 5 minutes before my departure, the breakfast place was open, so I got 2 breakfasts for nothing

Excellent and opulent breakfast with incredibly many options (costs 440 B/person if remember correctly, but is worth it)
Breakfast was good and was there for the convenience of catching a plane to Chiang Mai.
Think I would have a la carte breakfast in future as food plentiful but cold.

The breakfast is always great with a good selection of Asian and European food.
Excellent choice on the breakfast and menu for evening meals had a good choice,
The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options to choose from.

Not slot of vegan /vegetarian options at breakfast not enough of fruit
The breakfast was very good, they had absolutely everything you could want.
Without doubt the biggest breakfast buffet selection I have ever seen!

Breakfast was excellent with great variety of Asian and western food.
Grab breakfast in the extensive and reasonably priced food court.
The breakfast was fantastic and opens already at 6:00 am.

In the evening, Zeppelin restaurant offered breakfast for 250thb.
Breakfast was one of the best I had.
Very comfortable bed, clean room, and good breakfast.

The breakfast buffet is a wonder to behold!
The bed and the food were very good.
Breakfast was delicious and lots of options!

Breakfast was great, with an amazing variety.
Clean room, great breakfast and comfortable beds.
My Thai partner loved it !

The breakfast is really unbelievably good!
The breakfast is excellent: multiple hot Thai entrees, hot noodle soup, full salad bar (with sliced gouda cheese, tiny pickles, olives and salmon), egg station, pancakes, rice soup, sausages, multiple kinds of fresh fruit, breads and pastry (including gluten free bread), at least six kinds of tea, plus fresh coffee, hot cocoa and juices.
The 6 AM lobby breakfast buffet was one of the most extensive we’ve experienced & nicely serviced: fresh fruits/juices/2 kinds of muesli, bread pudding, great egg station, breads/rolls, fried rice, veggies, meats/cheese, pancakes/pastries/Smuckers jams/honeycomb sheet, 2 coffee machines & a full Asian section.

Breakfast buffet included: indonesian rice with toppings, Thai congee, Japanese Miso soup, Thai dishes, lots of bread choices, coffee/tea/speciality teas, Thai noodles, egg/omelette station, salad bar that included Japanese pickled vegetables, and many different fresh fruits.
Top hotel with a nice and large pool, great breakfast and restaurant, and a very friendly reception, great rooms on the 5th floor and only 1000 BHT from the major Bangkok airport.
Breakfast was included however it did not begin until 6 am and we had to leave at 5.30 am so were not able to use this even after paying for it

Facilities: What guests say
View Amari Don Muang Airport Bangkok273 relevant reviews
Major refurbishment is the dominant issue, with construction noise, temporary areas, maze-like access, and the airport skybridge closed; heavy luggage can be difficult. Guests still report clean, functional facilities, good service, Wi‑Fi, a large pool, gardens, restaurants, and attractive renovated rooms, while some describe outdated areas, poor value, or closed gym and pool.

It's a large hotel, so there are multiple elevators to the guest rooms and the corridor from the front desk to the elevator can be complicated, making it easy to get lost if you don't remember the route to your room on your first visit.
Instead of running the air conditioning full blast in completely empty meeting rooms, it would be better to spend the budget on a moving walkway within the corridor to assist heavily-laden tourists who are the reason for this hotel's existence.
Lo and behold, lift out on 3 rd night and once again had to “ schlep “ to / from lift, then to the other set of lifts and the additional distance on the floor itself.

I would like to request that parking be prepared in front for guests who are staying and checking out the next day, not just for those attending temporary training seminars.
Great facilities, nice bath and shower and had shampoo and conditioner as well as body wash, nail file, tooth brush and paste and even a razor!
I informed the reception on the 2 nd night that they should have a sign up advising customers to prevent them walking the lengthy distance.

In photos it looks one way and in person it looks another. The pool, for example, was dirty and the facilities look old.
The smoking fine is higher than the value of the room reservation as they fined me an amount equivalent to $120.
It was a shame that the bar was closed but couldn't be helped as it was due to renovations.

Non slip mats are available for the shower and probably safer as the water pools on the floor.
We had to walk nearly 100 meters from the reception to the elevator, which was not signposted.
Facilities are not very modern, but sufficient for our purpose (short rest before the connecting flight)

The tunnel leading from the airport is not air-conditioned - it is very hot there.
TV? Only ONYX members get Smart TV, so join before you book, for free.
When we arrived, the hot water was not working for a few hours.

We were able to leave our suitcases until the evening and change there.
One of the lifts playing up ended up in kitchens somehow ?
The hotel engineering requires immediate attention or closure of the hotel.

The bridge directly to the airport is the only positive thing!
But you could remove key card and turn all power off.
The hotel temperature was a little on the cool side.

The Reception Area and Dining Rooms worked very efficiently.
Many things in the hotel need to be repaired.
No feel-good factor in the hotel and its facilities.

Could offer a nice bar/lounge which would help travellers
The furnishings and carpets have seen better days
The facilities are adequate, elevator, pool, comfortable rooms.

Whirlpool was broken but it's not 5 stars
All the amenities of a classy hotel.
Very clean and full amenities .reasonable price

Restaurant: What guests say
View Amari Don Muang Airport Bangkok261 relevant reviews
Guests frequently praise the varied breakfast buffet, tasty Thai and international dishes, friendly staff, and live music. Recurring drawbacks include high prices, limited or repetitive menus shared across restaurant, poolside, and room service, and slow service, sometimes involving waits of 45–60 minutes. Food quality is inconsistent, with several poorly cooked or undersized dishes.

My only complaint was that the menu for the pool area, room service and (rather too modern for my taste) dining room, is exactly the same and not very imaginative but perhaps when the hotel is totally refurbished this will improve.
We ate at the restaurant, I ordered the Australian beef burger, it came very undercooked, I sent it back, the second one came back just as undercooked but greyish, that ended my meal, they didn’t charge me, which was appropriate.
However, we went to eat at the street food place across the street and there, beware, the prices are not displayed and it's a rip-off at the moment of payment, 800 baht for 2 pad Thais and two beers

Ditto for the restaurant where the food was definitely passe-partout, ubiquitous and designed to satisfy all tastes at - again - not really prices that were justifiable for the quality on offer.
Unfortunately Thai defamation laws prohibit my writing as to how we were treated - but after having stayed here numerous times previously, we will never return.
Good food & ambience at The Corner Restaurant/Bar & good street food choices across the road if local food is preferred.

We arrived late and thought that we would be unable to get food, but it stays open until 11.30pm.
The restaurant (expensive) is very decent and the chef Pattra Sae Ouan is lovely and cooks very well.
Restaurant too busy with conferences not enough staff although staff try very hard, must be very stressful.

Had a nice burger with French fries in restaurant where staff was extremely friendly and pleasant.
The only downside is the dinner at the hotel restaurant, which we did not like.
We had a few drinks and snacks in the evening. The soups were excellent.

The restaurant was perfect it's got plenty of seating even during busy periods.
Since we waited so long for the food, we were served free bread
Since the customers are hostages to the location, it could have been worse.

Zeppelin restaurant no atmosphere abd boring menu but good for buffet break
The corner cafe gives great food and we had live music too
The restaurant staff were lovely and the live music was pleasant.

Two restaurants are good! But the menu is almost the same!
We went across to the airport and had a McDonalds.
They accommodated our request to make the food less spicy.

Just add more veg options in their food menu
The staff in the restaurants seem bored to annoyed.
The hotel offers good food for dinner and breakfest.

There are no real restaurants in walking distance.
This was very much appreciated by our group.
הארוחה במסעדה של המלון מעולה אבל יקרה

Excellent restaurant with breakfast and lunchtime buffet.
Expensive restaurant s of poor quality food.
The attached restaurant is top notch.

Transport: What guests say
View Amari Don Muang Airport Bangkok240 relevant reviews
The hotel is very close to Don Mueang Airport, but renovation-related closure of the connecting walkway frequently caused confusion, detours, difficult walking conditions, and waits. A free shuttle runs roughly hourly and can be efficient, yet guests reported 20–45-minute waits, crowded or hard-to-find buses, and journeys taking up to 40 minutes instead of a five-minute walk.

Enter Terminal 1 at check-in counter 6; there's an elevator on the right side opposite the counter. Take the elevator down from the third floor to the second floor, then walk along the corridor for about 100 meters and turn left. Go down the elevator to the first floor, and you'll reach the hotel front desk.
We stayed here for that reason, it's expensive but if you want to avoid transportation in the morning to get to the airport, it's perfect, there's a walkway that connects directly to terminal 1 (you can also walk to T2)
The exit from the airport area doesn't work, and you only find out about it after you have almost gone through it; the part of the transition that was supposed to lead us to the hotel is simply closed.

After booking and arriving at the airport it turns out the walkway was closed so you had to use a shuttle instead which added a lot of time to and from the hotel.
If you've just landed at Don Mueang Airport, you'll need to take the elevator up to Terminal 1 and go to check-in counter 6, then follow the signs.
Distance to Don Mueang train station is no more than 100 m, to the airport counters it's a 5-minute walk (about 400 m) via the pedestrian bridge.

From airport to hotel for check in, should give for guest use lift if they have big lugguage cant use stair very difficult to carry
The hotel is directly connected to the airport by a bridge and you can reach Terminal 1 on foot in no time.
I wanted hotel close to airport but there are now 2 international airports and i was close to the wrong one.

Unfortunately, you cannot walk to the airport via the pedestrian bridge as it is closed due to structural instability!
I wasted so much time running around to try finding it to finally end up in a taxi.
You can go directly to the hotel from Don Muang Airport without leaving the airport, using the overpass.

You can find the Amari elevator on the arrival floor and take a bridge to the hotel.
On arrival we had to wait for a shuttle bus to take us to the hotel
It took about 10 minutes to arrive after a rather long detour to the hotel.

Yes, since I only need 8 hours, I have to pay the full day prices.
And tell the rest of us it’ll be another 20-30 minutes for next shuttle.
Incredibly convenient stay connected to the airport for those who prefer fuss free travel

Now we have to use the hotel shuttle, which takes about 10 minutes.
The footbridge used to be very quick and the bus was very slow.
Just across the road from the airport, so convenient for a morning flight.

I surmise that the walkway does not connect on arrival or departure level.
The hotel is not located in the terminal but requires a shuttle.
My journey was about 10 minutes early on a Saturday morning.

Excellent access to airport with a quick walk along the bridge
Easy access for early flight next morning from Don Meaung airport
Hotel located almost in the airport, connected by a walkway.

We took a free shuttle from the international airport here.
Only a short walkway directly to check-in at the airport.
So easy to get to from Don Mueang Airport.

Pool: What guests say
View Amari Don Muang Airport Bangkok218 relevant reviews
The pool is repeatedly praised as very large, clean, pleasant, quiet, and well maintained, with plentiful loungers, a pool bar, and warm or refreshing water suited to relaxing after flights. Recurring drawbacks include construction noise, dated surroundings, occasional maintenance issues, inconsistent bar service, high prices, and some poor food and drink experiences.

Food is all delivered from the main kitchen, sometimes a waiter brings it out but sometimes the girl tending the bar (she is doing her best) goes inside to collect it and leaves the bar unattended, definitely a management issue!
Unfortunately no one active outside at the bar to get a drink or snack, so you need to go indoors to the restaurant to order - and they will bring it outdoors to you.
Top hotel with a nice and large pool, great breakfast and restaurant, and a very friendly reception, great rooms on the 5th floor and only 1000 BHT from the major Bangkok airport.

Also the pool area looks abandoned, uncared for, lots of cracks, you had to ring a bell and wait 15 minutes for any service at the bar.
I also ordered a glass of Chardonnay at the pool, and it was half diluted with water—completely unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber.
The chlorine in the pool stung my eyes but I was pleasantly surprised that the sensation stopped as soon as l stopped swimming.

The pool is fine, but nothing special; the pool bar where you can get some food and drinks is open until 9 p.m.
It was really nice chilling round the pool in the afternoon before getting something to eat in the evening and an early night.
There is a pool with good loungers to relax, but it is located in an indoor garden and the building is depressing.

It is said that there is a pool bar, which is true, but the service there is very slow.
The pool area was dated and some of the hotel was still in need of updating.
The pool was closed on the day of our arrival, and we weren't informed about it.

Large swimming pool , great if staying for a few hours for a connecting flight
The pool bar doesn’t open till 12.00 noon and serves good food and drinks.
A great hotel for relaxing by the big & clean outdoor swimming pool.

You have to order by phone and it takes ages to get something.
Excellent swimming pool with well manicured gardens and a water feature.
Work was being done with a jackhammer by the pool

Building work around the pool with lots of drilling
The pool water was a bit warm, 29 degrees
Hotel as a very large pool in the quadrangle.

Nice pool, easy to order food to room.
Convenient terrace with a view of the pool.
The pool allows you to cool off

There is a pool to relax at.
Pool was perfect, not to busy.
Big pool in middle of hotel.

The pool was a great size
Subtropical garden with swimming pool.
I didn’t use the pool

View Amari Don Muang Airport Bangkok210 relevant reviews
Check-in and checkout are often described as quick, smooth, and flexible, including helpful late arrivals and late checkout. However, renovation-related temporary facilities frequently caused chaos, long waits, confusing directions, and limited desks. The airport bridge was reportedly closed without notice, with hourly shuttles and awkward luggage access replacing it.

When I arrived at the reception to book a room directly, the person presented me with a small piece of paper showing the room rates that were almost four thousand baht, unfortunately for him I knew the prices because I had been there before, I sat down in front on a chair and booked via booking.com and I immediately got the normal price, I showed him my reservation and there you go, thanks Booking, that night I saved thanks to your site.
Booking through an agency means that you cannot leave your luggage for more than one day (the guest did not book themselves, as they are a speaker and the event organizer booked for them). They should have the same rights because sometimes they can, and sometimes they can't, for reasons unrelated to the guest.
My room number 4030, my mom tried to many time, I decided to call service center and let's them check my password, after that she told me for my password is " aaen " ??? My mom waiting me to check the password at noon.

There was not very good organization around the alternative transport, either a shuttle (only happening once every hour) or a golf cart taking you 100m before you need to carry your luggage up a flight of stairs to reach the airport.
Long queue to check in to the hotel and slow check in process : presumably most guests stay for one night so there is a high turnover : having more staff at the front desk would have helped a lot
And from inquiring with the person who made the booking, I received the response that the hotel recommended booking through an agency as well (which clarified that the charge for leaving a car is only 360 baht per day).

We had just spent 12 hours on a flight and traveled from one airport to another - so all we were looking for was a place to sleep for the next day.
My receipt from booking.com said I had ‘paid by credit card …714,’ but it appears that while the cc number had been provided, no payment had been made.
Despite some confusion at chekc in, the Manager took very good care of us and sorted the issues out and made sure we were settled.

So I had to book through another source. The hotel should improve its IT system instead of placing the responsibility on the customers.
One odd thing: during check-out, I was asked if I consumed anything from the minibar, but ours hadn’t been replenished at all.
They had a concierge luggage storage area to leave our luggage while we headed out to the city before check in.

At reception we were met by Khun Kwan Manow who took our passports and organised check-in with Khun Almond.
Check-in took far too long, 45 minutes queuing at the reception, when you just finished a long trip
The check-in didn't go very well, the staff were very unfriendly and came across as quite arrogant.

That made me have to go back 2 hours later to pay for my additional days.
Khun Kwan then showed us to our room and explained everything we needed to know.
I also found the check in to be quite effortless and very welcoming and efficient.

Complete chaos with makeshift desks, which were supposed to organize both check-in and check-out.
Please check on this, as I cannot find a transaction on my bank statement!
Quite a long check-in procedure, even though the stay had already been paid for.

When we arrived - around 8 pm - there was no concierge service.
Quick in, quick out - we would do it the same way again
Despite me arriving a day early they were able to accommodate me.

We arrived at night and had an early flight, perfect for sleeping
I went to do my check in process and walk back
I had to wait 40 minutes before I could check in.

The receptionist was slightly overwhelmed during check-in (spoke little English).
Checkin was too slow, too many documents to sign.
I was allowed to check out at 1.30pm.

Gym: What guests say
View Amari Don Muang Airport Bangkok35 relevant reviews
Gym availability is unreliable: several guests found it closed or nonexistent, including during renovation. When open, it is repeatedly described as a small, basic facility located in a corridor, with old or malfunctioning equipment. Heat and inadequate air-conditioning are recurring problems, though a few guests called it good or enjoyable.

Many guests come here from all over the world and need to exercise at odd hours before/after a flight- the hotel would be wise to build a wall (glass or otherwise) and install air conditioners that could be turned on/off by the guests whenever they use the area.
The multipurpose weight lifting machine is old and not maintained well- friction in the cables adds extra tension making is difficult to choose how much you are really lifting.
Aircon is supposed to come on at 6am but it doesn't automatically- had to call front desk and get them to send a worker to turn it on.

The free weights are brand new- however seem to be made of PVC plastic, likely with BPA because they are releasing very strong gases.
Gym facilities were lacklustre. Cheap equipment, no AC. Felt like it was just on a corridor so cleaners walking past with vacuum cleaners.
The biggest issue is the fitness "center" is really just part of a hallway and the aircon doesn't get turned on until 6am.

I found the gym very basic tucked into the hallway, as if they didn’t know where else to put it.
The gym is also a bit old-fashioned (who puts carpet under bikes, it's the least hygienic thing in the world).
The fitness center, the weight machine is so unstable it feels like it could fall apart at any moment.

They were supposed to have a fitness center, but was told upon check in, it was not available.
The gym was very weathered and needs a lot of love and attention to make it properly functional!
Exercise area was very hot because it takes over half an hour to cool down.

The gym and the equipment in it were not great at all and quite old.
I lift weights regularly and am in good shape so this was quite a surprise.
We only used the room and the gym so can't comment on anything else.

I couldn't try the gym not the swimming pool but they seemed good enough.
Maintenance could be a bit better here and there, for example in the gym
The gym is in the hallway (usually there is a separate room for this).

There are three treadmills, two ellipticals, and four bikes- all older but still work.
Such plastic is suspected to cause cancer and at the very least smells awful.
The gym was located in the hallway of the hotel, which was very strange.

A small investment would make it a much more attractive property for future trips!
Some of the gym equipment was in bad condition and did not work properly.
None of the treadmills work properly in the gym and there's no AC.

The gym may be functional but it’s odd and set in a corridor!
There was no gym, which was the reason we chose this hotel.
The GYM is located in the hallway in front of the rooms!?

Gym equipment broken and not working properly
Only complaint is the exercise room.
Pool and gym that I enjoyed

Parking: What guests say
View Amari Don Muang Airport Bangkok21 relevant reviews
Parking is often free for up to seven days when booked directly, but third-party bookings may incur THB 360 per day and surprise charges. Guests repeatedly describe the car park as distant, sometimes unavailable during meetings, and lacking luggage shuttle service. Positive reports mention security, free parking, and convenient car-hire pickup.

I ended up spending a thousand, which is about the same as the parking fees at the airport... I guess I have to rethink if I fly from Don Muang again.
Originally, I could park for 7 days. Currently (July 20, 2024), I stayed for 1 night, but when I returned from my trip, I was charged for parking again..
As we were leaving the car for several days we were shown to a carpark right at the back with a security guard showing us the way.

If you book through their site you can park the car there for free for six nights, otherwise it's 360 baht per day.
I am very sorry. I had no idea that if I didn't book directly I would have to pay an additional parking fee.
No one expected to be charged another thousand for parking because I saw in the reviews that.. parking is free for 7 days..

I don't like that guests have to park at the back, which is very far away. If they have luggage, it's very inconvenient.
The car park was far from the lobby mean you have to dropped luggage then park and walk back without transport service.
Car hire company also picked up our car from the front of the hotel car park which was a bonus.

Want parking lot for guest stay in hotel in front hotel and Guest for meeting should to parking at backside.
Rip off rate THB360 p/d to park car, but only if you book thru 3rd party app like booking.com.
Car parking is far from the main entrance and I needed to wait for the shuttle for a while.

The parking for hotel guests was terrible as you could never get a parking spot on the premises.
Secondly it will be perfect if the access to the car park is improved by installing continue shelter.
I am very sorry. I came back and was charged an additional parking fee.

Parking is a challenge, especially if meetings are taking place in the lounges.
I didn't book directly from the hotel website. They charged parking fees..
I didn't see any indication that booking directly was the only way.

Was advertised could park for 7 days but actually could not
Parking is far away, no shade in the parking area
You had to always park a long way away.

Hotel guests (paying) come after attendees of the meetings.
If you book direct then 7 day free.
There was no shuttle service for your baggage.

There was no shuttle service for your bags.
This hotel even lets u park there free.
Parking car there was a very big bonus.

Can park 7 days for free.
Free parking for 7 days
Wish I knew that.
