Marriot is still maintaining the discriminating approach, that rooms booked by booking.com get no mileage or night-counting (totally stupid in direction of sill loyal members. If we choose Marriot - doesn^t matter by which portal - we are loyal!!!!
The value for money because normally I go to RADISSON BLUE, which is cheaper and also a 5-star hotel, and better located, but when booked through Booking, they put you in an adjoining room (not great)
The food and drinks there are really very good, everything hot despite the buffet, and especially very varied, staff super friendly, booking the Executive Lounge is a real recommendation!! We will definitely come back…

The hotel is beautiful and it was an opportunity to visit the Octave lounge on the roof with its beautiful view of Bangkok
Never stay in this stupid expensive place 1 night amount the charge in me $188 and even not breakfast included.
Nice hotel, staff in reception and concierge amazing, good food, nice hotel, had all of the comforts

A year-end and New Year that I will never forget as the worst in my life.
Prohibition of going to the top floors if you are not 20 years old.......
I stayed with my family for 7 days and had a pleasant stay.

Both the staff and the facilities of this wonderful hotel were luxurious.
It was nuanced, with a blend of first-rate and second-rate aspects.
It was our 8th stay at the Marriott, still very good.

The hotel staff made you correct the advertisement since then.
Very good as always, especially the Executive Lounge is perfect!!!!!
Very good city hotel with all comforts, perfect staff

Additionally, a lot of free water was always provided.
The value for money seems questionable to me.
Positive stay, it's very pleasant in this facility.

I would stay again when in bangkok.
Very nice place with a cool rooftop.
Thank you very much for everything.

It was a memorable experience otherwise.
Good stay and great rooftop bar!
And the rooftop bar was spectacular!

I recommend this hotel for everyone.
Okay. No more and no less.
There wasn't anything to dislike.

The bed is very uncomfortable.
But really an amazing hotel,
I demand a refund.

We had a family size room for 2 adults & 1 teen and there was more than enough space with 2 double beds, we especially loved the bathroom door that slides all the way open to provide even more space.
We were very disappointed; the air conditioning in the room couldn't adjust the temperature, even after calling maintenance it was still the same. In the end, we had to request a room change because it was too hot
2 rooms booked each has different layout of the bathroom . One is corner room and has a smaller bathroom . I like they arranged 2 rooms next to each other , very kind of them .

The bathroom was very nice (huge bath), the room itself was great but what's worth the price is definitely the bed, most comfortable bed I ever slept on.
Renovation was taking place in the room next to ours, and an extremely pungent smell came through the ventilation, which forced us to change rooms.
The shower in the ceiling was always dripping, so the floor was always wet and my wife almost fell (risk of accidents)!

When ringing reception for a new scale and more toilet roll it took more than 40 minutes to bring up.
I would have preferred to stay in a rectangular bedroom rather than the wasted space at the entrance.
The room colors are gloomy; the wood leans towards black; a lighter wood would have been better

There’s no closet space in my room & the wardrobe area is kinda tight and dark.
The room key didn't work, four clothing hangers, bad shower, and 90 min wait
Two ensembles with one large bed on top does not make one king bed.

Unfortunately the room did not accommodate two adults and an 11 year old!
There were very obvious shoe prints on the pillow in the other room.
Rooms were beautiful and extremely comfy especially after a long travel day.

The room is spacious, equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay.
Comfortable room with everything we needed for our one night stay.
Very small room, worn out furnishings, not worthy of 5-star status

Decor felt a bit outdated and would benefit from an update.
We got a high floor room and loved the view.
The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is functional.

Our room was sleek and it had an amazing view.
There was cake made and decorated in our room.
Hotel and rooms void of any personality or warmth.

Beautiful room but not a good value for money
Spacious room with a comfortable bed and walk-in closet.
My room was located next to a technical room.

Too small a room for the value !
The room was spacious, the views were fantastic.
The bed in our room was extremely soft

I would like to thank all the hotel staff for the quality that I describe as exceptional and especially the way in which they execute it with open arms, a big smile on their face, smiling mouth, very welcoming look.
The security box was broken, and when I informed the front desk, someone came to check but was unable to do anything. The next person also couldn't fix it, and it ended up needing to be replaced.
Waitress at octave bar, very rude, we ordered drinks ask for a coaster as condensation dripping from drinks rude even we said thanks no reply blank, then asked for menu rude again blanked us after passing menu.

The person in charge of check-in, as well as the bellboys, the café staff, and the Octave staff, were all very kind and always smiling; I had a very comfortable three-night stay.
The majority of the staff is very unfriendly, everything is done under pressure and stress, it was quite a transition for us after the 'island vibe'.
One of the servers Jiruchan, was the saving grace and made it a pleasant experience with her efficient and smiling service.

Rooftop bar: hectic staff, longer waiting times, and a waiter did not want to give me my change back!
But none detracted from the overall pleasure I felt staying in s lovely hotel with beautiful attentive staff.
Unfortunately, the front reception staff were inefficient, unhelpful, and made the overall experience much less enjoyable.

Different staff members gave us conflicting information, leaving us confused and unsure of what to expect.
The front desk lady, however, gave me a kind of politeness that I couldn't quite describe.
The staff is very accommodating; due to celiac disease, we always received great alternatives.

Partially poorly trained or informed staff, and I got food poisoning from room service.
Thank you very much to the whole team for making this trip extraordinary
But in Thailand, that´s an easy task since Thai people are very friendly.

The hotel had no idea although I showed them the actual booking.
The location was good and most of the staff were helpful.
The service at the reception, the cleanliness of the room.

The rest of the staff gave me a good impression.
Staff were super friendly and always around to help.
The smile on their faces made every interaction pleasant.

That was provided in half an hour. Kudos!
The staff at Marriott took care of us.
Incredible staff, really enjoyed our stay- would recommend!

Good service and good value of money
The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive.
The staff is very courteous and competent.

The staff were friendly and helpful.
Team is super friendly and helpful.
The team there was very attentive.

The hotel is very conveniently located - not far from the metro, practically in the center, and yet in a fairly quiet place - we have been to Bangkok three times and this hotel seemed perfect, I would like to come back here.
We were recommended this hotel for the location & found it easy to get to most places all within 30mins taxi (Lumphini park, MBK, grand palace, KHAO san road, Asiaatique) & the BTS is 2 min walk if you prefer that.
The location was close to Lacol Bangkok and Tichuca rooftop, but apart from that it is relatively far from the malls (half an hour drive, and during rush hour it took us an hour and a quarter by taxi.)

I thought it's "Sukhumvit Soi 2", as in, the JW Marriott hotel on Soi 2, but instead it's "building #2 on Sukhumvit Soi 57", entirely different part of the city half an hour car ride away.
The location, the view from the roof with a lounge and bar for a stopover before continuing the journey when one wants to save time and experience a lot in a short time.
The location of the rooftop bar and the fact that my room was right next to the bar lounge allowed me to use it like a living room and relax.

Its location is a bit far from the malls and temples and Chinatown, so we had to take long and exhausting taxi rides for all the trips.
For families, the hotel is about half an hour away from shopping and entertainment centers, and this should be taken into account
As you come out of the hotel, there are steps to the BTS that go direct to the station.

Good location for BTS sky train, so it is easy to get to most tourist attractions.
Found more than once that the drivers were confused of where we wanted to go.
Too 50 mins to get to the river as the traffic is just gridlock.

It is very well situated and access to public transport is very easy.
The location is okay for Bangkok, but there are better ones (like Asoke).
The location is good and it's beautiful, but everything else is terrible.

Location was great a one block walk to the BTS SKytrain station.
Location, room service and facilities and staff were polite and supportive
Not a good location for families, but it definitely meets expectations

It was probably further away than I realised to the centre.
Great location for good restaurants, trendy bars and close to everything.
We used taxis and tuc tucs as the main transportation.

And the view of Bangkok from the high-rise was beautiful.
With all the traffic, it's cumbersome to get ahead.
Location near the BTS, very comfortable bed, well soundproofed

Definitely a recommendation for a stay in Bangkok!
A magnificent hotel in the heart of Bangkok.
Hotel is in Sukhumvit area of Bangkok.

Close to the bts and local shops.
Not a pleasant place to stay
Close to BTS for easy access.

Please be aware for the Halal food at the breakfast, we wanted some chicken noodles in the morning which is Halal, unfortunately they warm it up in the same hot water with all other type of noodles like pork for example.
There were the most diverse and delicious breakfasts of all that I have tried: corners of healthy food, Indian, Japanese and several other cuisines, a huge selection of desserts and fruits, everything is very tasty.
But THE best thing about this hotel has to be the breakfast! Freshly made to order waffles, pancakes, omelettes, eggs, Thai dishes, Korean…. The variety was endless! We’ll definitely stay again!

Breakfast staff is always right behind you, certainly to do well but it feels a bit oppressive, as if they want to make the customers leave quickly during the breakfast rush.
What's even more outrageous is that when I went to get yogurt, I discovered a cockroach crawling around in the chia seeds nearby, and I immediately lost my appetite.....
The breakfast now closes at 10.30 a.m. & it's too crowded, once it used to close at 11 a.m. & it was much better, less rush & more quiet.

The breakfast buffett was the best we ever had in 5 star hotels, the quality and different selection was amazing, only the Marina Bay Sands in Singapur was better
After taking the food back to our table, I realized another server had seated another group of guests at our table when I had left my things there.
For breakfast, the omelette must be ordered and you have to tell them your table number; there was quite a long wait for it to be served

The breakfast should be for a longer time or at leas if weve missed it we get to order it to the room because we’ve already paid!
Comparing the breakfast, it was just like an ordinary two or three-star hotel, nothing different. The taste was average and not like the reviews suggested before
Small things like taking away my breakfast which was full and only just put on the table when I went off to get a croissant.

Even though I paid hotel reservation with breakfast but I had 2 days breakfast outside hotel because we didn't like it.
The breakfast price is too high; it shouldn't be charged separately for customers but included in the room package.
Breakfast was a bit disappointing especially the way the staff welcome you and place you.

No one understands espresso or double shot or good coffee unless you pay extra?
For breakfast, I would have liked scrambled eggs, bacon, and fresh fruit juice
So far, one of the best breakfast buffets in terms of variety

The breakfast buffet was unbelievable! So much choice and amazing quality.
Best hotel breakfast I’ve ever seen - so much variety!
Whether international or Thai specialties, everything was fresh and delicious.

The breakfast is particularly noteworthy. very rich and internationally diverse.
We booked breakfast, but the server was quite unprofessional.
The breakfast in the executive lounge is very inadequate

Because of this inconvenience we wouldn’t rate it 10/10.
Admittedly it was the busiest time to go.
Breakfast was very poor located in conference room

Cozy Breakfast for both asians and europeans.
Central location and the decent breakfast.
And I've seen quite a bit

When I sat by the pool waiting for it to open I got splashed by water from window cleaning, which also caused a lot of banging against the windows from 9am onward.
You can see the property is already aging, and unfortunately they do not do too good of a maintenance to keep it up the standard.
We were told that we could be seated at a table but that we had to leave it before 9 PM because it was reserved;

We had taken lounge access and that was a boon since evening teas and dinners were in a lovely setting with view of Bangkok skyline.
The laundry service at the hotel is a bit too expensive, and you should take this into account if you plan to use it,
Air-con didn`t work properly - you could only choose between cold and icecold, if if you increased the temparature to 27 degree celsius

Wish it was open longer as it was a beautiful and peaceful area to hang out and work or just chat at.
The view from the rooftop was exceptional, but the overall experience left much to be desired for a hotel of this caliber.
There's a great rooftop bar on the, well, rooftop of this hotel that is a sight to see on its own.

This is a pity because you pay a lot for an overnight stay and you want it to be spotlessly clean.
Then go up to the Sky Bar and enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the city over a couple of cocktails.
We booked with access to the lounge which was fantastic, good food and drinks are served pretty much all day.

The rooftop bar is also nice and compared to the bar directly across the street, it’s not overly pricey...
We got a fantastic spot and were able to end our trip perfectly on our last evening.
Lobby full of Randomer’s off the street looking for an over hyped roof top bar .

I did like the amenity to be able to find in the business lounge.
The facilities are just meh, not up to date, hotel rooms are basic.
Lifts full of none guests heading to the roof top bar .

The air conditioning in the dining room was set too cold.
Rooftop bar had music off at 1:30 AM. Request to leave.
Nice Executive Lounge Floor and pool area to chill out.

And across from the hotel, there is a nice roof.
The building is kept looking new and is very clean.
Pretty boring. But of course, the view is excellent.

Also went to the rooftop bar which was amazing.
The type without cushions. This simply can't continue.
Haven’t had exchanges bathrobes, and haven’t restocked towels.

The facility was very old and rundown.
The gym is very large and state-of-the-art.
The hairdryer is a bit weak.

We were the first to arrive in the bar and wanted to sit were the sun was setting, to be told No, another couple shortly afterwards cam and asked if they could sit were we wanted to sit and it was given to them, wasn’t happy about that, we should have been given first priority if someone had cancelled their table.
The dinner: We dined at the hotel's restaurant on the 45th floor, where unfortunately one member of our party got food poisoning. The good food did not make up for a day with fever, stomach pain, vomiting, and bathroom visits.
Maybe if I am sitting in a poorly positioned seat, maybe I could get the option of moving to a better position as reserved table are made available by cancellation and not going to people just turning up?

The sky bar, we did not find the staff efficient, we waited and waited for drinks order, took the order , however he didn’t actually put our order in, so waited longer, close to 45 mins …
This roof top restaurant may be famous by Bangkok standard, but I live in Singapore and regular to high end restaurants in Marina Bay Sands like Lavo, or SKAI in Swiss hotel on 70th floor.
Thursday night dinner at octave, I was fortunate enough to get a seat, it was directly in front of the entry and had the fan blowing directly into my face.

The servers did not check us in at the reserved table, made mistakes with our order, and took over an hour to bring us 2 dishes that required minimal preparation.
Rogan Josh (this was stale and it felt as if it was leftover food. I felt like puking. we ate a little and had to go out to eat again)
We also wanted the sticky rice and mango dessert that was only available at Octave, so the staff at the restaurant brought it down from the rooftop for me.

We ordered a drink after a long wait and we waited over 45 mins for it to arrive and that was only because we chased it up 3 times.
We were told we had to vacate the table by 9 PM even though our reservation was until 10 PM, and the servers did not apologize even once.
Just a small problem with the order at the rooftop restaurant but resolved by a manager so we forget about it and the rest is very positive

Not nice esp when we were there to celebrate my birthday which they knew as my husband has requested for a little cake.
The service at the restaurant could be a bit more attentive for the price, otherwise the food is excellent!
Mango Sticky Rice (the worst sticky rice in Thailand. Mango was mushy and rice was almost like Mochi)

The variety of meals was exceptional considering there were a number of restaurants within the hotel.
Choco Bakery appeared to be closed most of the time when we stopped by.
The 45th floor restaurant and bar very nice to see Bangkok beautiful night view!

While the buffet was decent, it didn’t feel worth the price we paid.
Unfortunately, there weren’t many options, and the items didn’t seem very fresh.
The restaurant on the ground floor was very good and reasonably priced.

The restaurant and bar on the rooftop terrace come highly recommended.
All restaurants could increase their vegetarian options.. they were quite limited
The view of Bangkok was breathtaking and the atmosphere unforgettable.

Biggest mistake was to order food in the room.
Everything served in the bar lounge was delicious.
I think the nearby cafe is much better.

Liked the rooftop bar apart from the service.
It also was cooling down my meal.
The rooftop and its seafood meal

Once again, the sun loungers by the pool are dirty and in need of replacement. My advice is to buy sun loungers without mattresses.
Sunbeds around the pool are very dirty and in need of replacement. [...] Everything around the pool is actually in need of replacement.
After a long day in the city, it was wonderful to relax in the pool and enjoy a drink at the bar.

Pool closed for maintenance during our stay and we were not informed by the hotel otherwise we would not have booked...
The view from the pool was blocked due to renovation, but that's what happens when you renovate so no big deal.
The swimming pool was under maintenance during our stay, and we were not informed of this before making our booking.

The pool: The pool area was clean and tidy, and it was not a problem to find sun loungers.
At the pool, they closed too early; staff said 5 minutes after closing that there were no more cocktails
Already at 6:30 PM no drinks at the pool bar, even though there should be service until 7:00 PM.

I think it would be best in future for guests to be made aware of this in advance.
There is also a bathroom, a stunning view from the window and the pool, and a magnificent spa.
No rooftop access because of our 2 teenagers aged 15 and 16 who are still young women!!!

The rooftop pool is an absolute highlight: beautiful view over the city and great for relaxing.
The pool was a little bit cold but I was in January, so to be expected.
Unfortunately, the pool is positioned a bit too low... Too much shade from the neighboring buildings

The pool has plenty of lounge options and offers a lot of space for swimming.
Had to wait a long time for food even though it was not busy .
The loungers by the pool are worn out, it was unpleasant to lie on them.

There is an infinity pool on the 7th floor that guests can use for free.
It was a hassle that I had to write my name to borrow pool towels.
The swimming pool lightning should be fixed and some of the seats behind the pool

The pool area and the pool could be more appealing in this hotel category.
Lounge chairs consist of two parts, one of which is a mattress.
Pool area also lovely to escape the hustle and bustle of Bangkok!

The pool and the bar were simply fantastic.
The pool was being serviced so unavailable.
Lounge chairs around the pool are dirty.

Prices at the pool are too expensive.
Nice swimming pool and great gym.
My teen loved the pool.

I didn't understand the payment system for the rooftop bar, so it was my mistake; I thought it would be okay since I had given my room number, but apparently a signature was needed. I got woken up by a confirmation call while I was resting at night.
The only slight issue I had was the check in, it had nothing to do with the service, but they had some IT issues which meant I had to wait longer than expected to get the keys to the room
Complicated check-in (no passport scanning, so it was very complicated to manually copy the information, and in the end, a message from reception asking me to come back again due to a passport issue... for a Marriott...).

When we provided our bank card to receive the refund of the 2000 Bahn deposit at check-out, they charged the room fee to the card a second time while we were waiting for the refund.
At the very first time when we check in, they gave us the wrong room that already occupied, it was awkward that when you open the door and see people stuffs. Wasn’t happy at first.
Delay in check in / There is no flexibility in changing the days of breakfast. I tried with the reception to make breakfast on the other day instead of the last, but he refused.

First impressions count , on arrival at check in the hotel staff member was rude, based on the fact that we wanted to pay upfront and not be billing everything to room basis.
Even for the refund/ cancel of the deposit, no receipt or anything was given citing that would be done in the office and would take 5 to 7 days.. I find that weird.
It was nice that a porter came to take my luggage at checkout, but when I finished checking out and returned, no one was at the entrance, just my luggage was there.

At check-in, even though payment was received from Booking, they asked for payment again. It took us 15 minutes to prove that we had made the payment.
Slightly disappointed that politely requesting a later checkout from 12 to 1500 (due to late night flight) was disapprovingly addressed by one member of the reception staff.
We were asked to pay a security deposit even though our stay had already been paid in full online. The deposit has still not been refunded.

We had to carry our own luggage upstairs, and we were not shown the furnishings in the room nor was the elevator explained!
I felt it was bad, but since I had a taxi pickup, I took the liberty of carrying my luggage outside myself.
Since I made a reservation through booking, the tourist tax should be included in the price and not collected by the receptionist.

If they had replaced the box or moved me to a different room from the beginning, it wouldn't have taken so long.
Payment for the room was taken in cash, they did not accept the bank card, citing the non-functioning of the acquiring system.
Unfortunately, no late check-out is possible, but you can use the pool and spa area free of charge until the evening.

Amateurism at check-in; we had booked a room with access to the club lounge but our room keys were not formatted
So back to the concierge who fixed the issue, but for a room costing nearly 400 euros for three, that's disappointing
Still waiting to refund of my money 2000 THB for security they mentioned it will be returned after the check out.

On check out when you check the room shpuld have contcated me as i was awaiting a taxi
I asked the front desk lady if it could be changed, but was refused.
When checking in, the attitude of the service staff was not very good

So may I ask can add back point to my member account?
The front desk charged a deposit and haven’t returned it yet.
I was helped by the late check-out (until 6 PM).

Everything was ruined by the check-in and check-out experiences.
They should inform about additional charges in advance.
It took a long time to check in.

Finally, the hotel is a bit far away from the city center, which could be uneasy for taxi reservation (Bangkok is still lacking of it).
Make sure to instruct your Taxi driver to go to the Thong Lo Station Marriott- we were taken many times to the wrong hotel...
It takes a little while to get to the main attractions, but it didn't really bother us thanks to Grab or the Skytrain.

There is a skytrain station directly at the hotel, which is nice if you plan to explore the city.
Moreover, the taxis offered by the hotel do not use the "meter," even though the valets swear they do.
It is very unpleasant to feel like you are being scammed by both the valet AND the taxi.

BTS station 3 minutes from the hotel, from there everything is super easy to reach in Bangkok.
Drop off in front of hotel was a little small but we never had any issues.
The hotel is close to a train station, which made local travel easy.

My departure taxi chose a very congested route to the airport.
Do not attempt to drive in city traffic - crazy.
But I don't blame him, Bangkok traffic can be challenging.

The Skytrain station is right outside the door.
It was close to the sky train.
A Skytrain station is right next door.

Overpriced allied services like airport transport.
The transportation location is great

Gym have additional charges if bring friends from outside, even the payment for room is for two person. why must have to charge additional charges for gym if the room rate for two.. not fair!
Small fitness area, well-equipped with Life Fitness machines (unfortunately, a spinning bike is missing).
Everything is available in the gym. There’s even a sauna in the changing room.

Gym was ok but floor was direct and water everywhere on the floor
It would be nice if it was larger and offered more equipment.
The hotel gym facilities are large and has everything you need.

The gym is nice, but it is limited because of space.
Both a big pool with a bar and a gym available.
Fitness centre is clean, welll equipped and well maintained.

The gym and swimming pool were also satisfied.
The staff at the gym was exceptional.
Nice swimming pool and great gym.

You can go to the gym,
Solid gym facilities
Gym not good

Gym and location
Good gym,

They ask what kind of facial treatment I would like and offered me a “deep clean treatment with massage.
There is also a bathroom, a stunning view from the window and the pool, and a magnificent spa.
When I asked they say they don’t do a deep cleaning- I felt like I was scammed.

The spa area looks a bit old and too tiny and asking to be renovated soon...
It was 1.5 hours of good massage and another 30min with mask on the face.
The hotel doesn’t have jacuzzi which I found upsetting

Massage services good (but expensive)
The treatment was very expensive.
Spa - massage food

The spa was fantastic.
Very professional massage
The spa.
