Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queens Park Reviews: Everything Guests Say

From 1,574 reviews of Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queens Park, 275 contained specific and relevant feedback about the hotel. We’ve organised these comments by topic so you can easily explore what guests say about each aspect of the property.
Of the reviews analysed, 1,299 were excluded because they contained little or no specific feedback relevant to the detailed analysis.

Due to the hustle and bustle of the countless travel groups and events (we had a large cosmetics company with 1200 people from India at an event that seemingly all departed for the same tent) and the thin walls/ceilings/poorly insulated glazing, there is no feeling of "luxury/spoiling."
I stayed here couple of times for business and this time spending short weekend break with my wife so she could experience the same what I did when I stayed here previously.
I will always use this hotel when I come to Bangkok….maybe a late check out offer would be good without having to pay for the whole day.

Might stay again if the price is right but probably would try somewhere else as there's no shortage of choices in the area.
I’ve been to Bangkok 8 times and stayed at many 5 star hotels, and this one was the best with the best location.
However, having stayed at a number of Marriott properties, I expected a little more from the room itself, particularly considering the price.

I will never set foot again too expensive for what you offer to avoid 5 stars which I don't have one yet
To learn much about the hotel business unless your manager is a beginner but above all not a professional, that's for sure
Too big! I have the feeling they couldnt manage it well due to the huge size of the hotel.

Apparently, as I find it silly, they could have at least given me 3 nights out of 5.
It is a huge hotel, which one must know. You might get lost at first.
Wonderful stay, and will definitely stay there if and when I go back to Bangkok.

An amazing hotel with a lobby like something out of the “Great Gatsby” Movie
Fantastic hotel but a little costly compared to other local 5star hotels in BKK.
Unfortunately, the hotel has gotten much worse; it used to be really good.

Despite these issues, it seems the overall experience was still enjoyable.
Very big hottle which made us feel like a tourist factory.
Truly an unforgettable experience for someone who travels for business.

The property and the amenities it offers are great.
Great hotel if you like a hard bed :)
Beautiful hotel; very clean; comfortable bed; delicious food.

We had a highly memorable and comfortable stay.
I changed hotels because I felt stressed...
Centrally located, easy to walk around Bangkok.

It feels like being in a factory.
The hotel lobby is luxurious and beautiful.
But it's only suitable for business people

Really difficult to find something similar!
Magnificent traditional Asian 5 star hotel
Spacious, beautiful, and very clean rooms.

My suite was a joke , the lounge area didn’t have a window, I thought booking 8 months early I would at least be rewarded with a decent room as my reward , no - they took it a different way and gave me what has to be the worst suite I’ve even seen at this level of hotel.
I asked for the room which could see the fireworks side, but they didn’t organize it for me, what I mean is if you can not arrange it for me or if I need the extra payment, I hope the hotel could inform me in advance.
We were on the 36th floor and the first few days went well, but on our last night there was a birthday party on the rooftop located on the 38th floor, it was impossible to sleep with the music so loud and people jumping around

Charges were not commensurate with the size of room- ideally a room sleeping 3 needs to be larger (esp if hotel is charging far more than it would for just an extra cot).
Was given a room that was facing a multi storey car park, requested I be given a room with a better view and was given a room that was facing the park.
We booked a room for 3 with 2 double beds. In retrospect, it was a small room, and the beds are more suited for a single and a half than a double.

I have reserved the room for 3 adults but when we moved into the room and found that only 2 sets of towers, cups, slippers, etc. are prepared.
Rooms are a bit tired - need an upgrade - TV is not smart tv yet and cannot even connect with iphone.
TV in my room was faulty and needed to be changed (which they did the next day to their credit).

Room was tidy, and well designed when they were last renovated but starting to show some age.
Hot AC during the our 1st night but was immediately fixed right after we reported it.
Some rooms had a Music speaker, bath tubs, Spouts for WC while other rooms didn't.

The room was nice and I liked that the toiletries were all organic based.
We came for a late night and received a distant and uncomfortable room
It had a shower and a tub, but I only needed shower.

The pictures of the room on Booking do not match the room.
I also wasn’t particularly fond of the smell in the room.
Room still had communication and (perishable) welcome amenities of previous guest.

Clean, quiet, spacious room with a nice view of the city
The room was spacious, with a large bathroom and comfortable bed.
Everything, a huge room, a very luxurious and service-oriented hotel.

Clean, comfy bed, good amenities, good Wi-Fi and strong connection.
Most of the countertop in the hotel is already broken
It was really good and the bed was so comfortable

The air conditioners in the corridors are not working.
Iron was dirty and old and scratched my dress.
The cleanliness of the room was not 100%

Most rooms facing each other so NO privacy
The room was cozy, but too cool.
The rooms are showing their age somewhat.

They so generously (sarcasm) offered to give me a 50% discount on breakfast, and I laughed in their face and said I would eat elsewhere if $400 is not enough for me to eat breakfast.
My only hitch - breakfast was way overcrowded ( maybe because of high season ) sharp 10.30 am they shut . Sharp . ( I’m not an early riser when on holiday .
I find it slightly annoying.... but since i had the bad breakfast the first night, I couldn't cancel it and remove it from my bill since i had already paid for it!.

Wonderful breakfast buffet, very friendly staff, Marriott beds !!!! - they are simply the best, very good location - 5 minutes from BTS, great rooftop bar!!!
The F&B staff at the breakfast counter was rather rude and confused between hotel guest and those guests who were there for company event as well.
But unfortunately I encountered a large group event, making the breakfast area very crowded and uncomfortable, like waiting for a checkout line at a supermarket.

The breakfast room is large and noisy so we sat outdoors which would've been charming except for pigeons that ate food off the tables.
It is not uncommon to go to sleep only at 3 in the morning; instead of 10:30, 11:30 would be better for breakfast.
I must mention, the breakfast - one of the best and most varied I have experienced in any other place and hotel!

I was also impressed at the breakfast buffet that the male greeter asked if I wanted coffee or tea to take away.
The breakfast becomes monotonous when you come back to the same venue 4 times a year for 3 years already.
The breakfast was unbeatable, because they’re catering for so many from all over the world they have everything available.

The restaurant for breakfast!!! oh wow! so good I have had to diet on the return home!!
The breakfast is truly unique, showing the effort put into serving and catering to the guests.
Selection at breakfast (even if the large number of people makes it feel less cozy).

The breakfast experience has got to be one of the best ones out there.
This is the BEST breakfast out of any hotel i've ever stayed at.
Saturday morning breakfast in the biggest crowd, which was out of control.

Breakfast was the best in all of the places we have visited.
Breakfast is the highlight of this hotel. An endless array of options.
Breakfast is enjoyable, so we should take our time with it.

Wonderful breakfast with a wide varieties of Asian and Western Food.
No options for vegans/ vegetarian in breakfast buffet or overall menu.
We missed breakfast by 30 minutes and they didn’t accommodate us.

Not an enjoyable experience unless you arrive early. Ie 7am.
Could have been much better for a 5 star hotel.
They sat us down to a really dirty table.

Very great breakfast, everything one could wish for.
Breakfast was definitely one of the highlights.
Wonderful breakfast with amazing food choices.

We were very very pleased with our guide Bantitha- a thorough professional, good communicator, very caring and considerate towards my mother who was not fully mobile- she planned things very well to ensure my mother was able to alight and disembark easily and didn’t have to walk as much. She went well beyond our expectations.
The staff in the front desk, very uncourteous, when I check in, I asked several times, is somebody can help with the luggage to room, the person in charge, continues talking or playing by his cell phone and he did not take any action, stay stand and do not said nothing !!!!
Also I requested to clean our bathroom as the water was leaking from shower and flooded our floor but nobody came to clean it even the they promised to send some staff to our room.

Several times they tried to scam me, just asked to pay some extra and after a hard conversation they stayed - sorry so we got a mistake , this situation appeared several times.
We were left with the feeling that the staff always works in a hurry and with little interaction with the guests, creating an atmosphere of apparent disinterest in the guests' comfort.
At the time of payment for the stay, the card failed, and we had the feeling that they were suspicious of our ability to pay, which made the situation quite unpleasant.

When I asked reception why there was no housekeeping service they said housekeeping forgot to do my room because there were a lot of rooms and they were "busy".
Wifi was very flaky on 3 different devices at different times - could have been due to Cloudstrike problems but no information given and staff couldn't really help.
I requested milk for my kid, they delivered it to room after 1 hour despite calling them 2 times and my kid went to sleep without having it.

Wonderful breakfast buffet, very friendly staff, Marriott beds !!!! - they are simply the best, very good location - 5 minutes from BTS, great rooftop bar!!!
The concierge service works efficiently (they will carry the suitcases, park the car, guide you through the hotel, and tell you everything you need to know).
The staff were greatly reduced and the one waitress we had seemed to be permanently flustered and trying to wait on too many tables.

Their messaging system through booking.com did not answer my question which I sent on July 22 with a follow-up on July 27.
The staff was excellent—everyone I encountered was incredibly nice, professional, and helpful, which made me feel very welcome throughout my stay.
She could have easily told me the room number so I could sort my laundry out but refused to .

I even saw the floor supervisor give her a light push telling her to go back to work.
She asked me if I had any feedback and was open to criticism, which I didn't have.
I ended up to call some staff from the floor to mop water at the bathroom.

Best luxury hotel I’ve ever stayed in thanks to the incredible people who work there.
Excellent personalized service despite the size of the hotel and high level of facilities.
However, there were 2 staff members in the buffet that could use improvement.

After waiting for more than 30 mins, I need to call again.
The customer service is excellent, from concierge/reception to restaurant to housekeeping.
Sometimes our requests from rooms are not met or ignored.

The hotel can be recommended with a clear conscience.
Hotel staff is helpful and full of smile.
She truly made our stay extra special.

Phone operatoe was not polite at all.
The staff at the reception weren't nice.
Staff is very attentive and helpful

There are many massage shops and supermarkets nearby, and currency exchange is also very convenient. It's a 3-minute walk to the fashionable department store, where there are many dining options, and getting to the BTS is only a few steps away.
Good location- 5min walk from sky train and EmQuariter mall, 10min from the metro station, access to a small park which is nice, and in front of the hotel there are a lot of taxis, restaurants, massage, and supermarkets.
The location cannot be better (off to the main Sukhumvit rd), so it's not heavy traffic in your face and also close to lots of bars, restaurants, and shopping centres either by walking or taking the Skytrain.

I know traffic in Bangkok is bad so it might be that without traffic (impossible in BkK) you take less time but it would take us at least 30 minutes to almost anywhere we wanted to go.
While the location was slightly removed from the main tourist areas, it was conveniently close to public transportation and several shopping malls, ensuring ease of access to key attractions and amenities.
Lots of massage places on the street, and a fantastic shopping mall at the end of the street that has super cool designer shops and a fantastic food hall.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, close to the Sukhumvit subway station and the Phrom Phong BTS station, which made getting around Bangkok very easy.
The location is perfect and it has enough facilities to keep you happy even if you are not in the mood to go out !
Also for sightseeing it’s too far from all cultural landmarks - 1 hour in traffic on taxi or more than - hour in metro.

Location close to the BTS (there is an exit at the back through the park very near the BTS) and several shopping malls.
The location was very beautiful near to BTS / Metro Rail and for morning jogger lovers the beautiful park to jog and excercise.
The location behind the central park was the best part of the trip for me; I really enjoyed walking over every day.

Nearby is a large coast park with a lake where turtles swim, a metro, and a bunch of shopping centers.
To SIAM CENTER - only a few stations from the SKYTRAIN which is very close to the hotel.
There is a park near the hotel, many massage parlors, and places to grab a bite to eat.

It's not far from two metro stations, but not too close either; it's right in the middle.
The hotel is located in the Sukhumvit area, just a 5-minute walk from the subway station.
Location, amenities, efficiency, very responsive and attentive staff; everything you need from a good hotel.

First class hotel in the middle of BKK - great access to the BTS
Beautiful hotel in a nice location but can be improved in some areas.
Location good but to use the exec floor was too over priced

Additionally, the heavy traffic in the area may have been inconvenient.
The view facing the park and the swimming pool is good.
Close to Sky Train, Shopping Mall, Park and etc.

An excellent hotel close to the center of Bangkok.
Huge Hotel: Great Location overall a satisfactory experience
The prefect place from which to explore Bangkok!

Alot if activities and things to do.
Good location close to mall food court
Great location to the Sukhimvit area.

For a hotel of this standard with a fairly high price, there is no water in the minibar, no welcome pack, the minibar is completely empty, and quite a few aging pieces of equipment have not been replaced.
Left "make up room" hanger on door when went out at 10:20am. Returned at 4pm and room was untouched. Was resolved quickly but we had to go for drinks while the room was made up.
The lobby is very large and luxurious for those who are not looking for a more intimate feel; it is at a crazy level, which was also a disadvantage for us.

The room key (that also had to be used for the lifts) constantly stopping working whenever it got close to anything magnetic... e.g. close to your mobile!
The roof bar needs a bit of improvements such as cooler or water sprinkles so it will put the temperature down in a hot day weather
Not so impressed with the rooftop bar- there really should be better food/bar food items available there so one can linger and enjoy their drinks.

The location is perfect and it has enough facilities to keep you happy even if you are not in the mood to go out !
The hotel is not a small one, there are many guests and breakfast area, elevators etc. can be quite crowded during peak hours...
As I mentioned the pool is very small for 1300 room hotel , they have another but you can’t use it ???

I kept losing email drafts because they would not save without wifi, I sent multiple emails that did not get sent, etc.
After walks in +37° outside, it may seem that the hotel is cold because the air conditioning system works very well.
They have a concierge service and they helped us get last minute reservations at a nice restaurant on New Years eve.

Prices are on the higher side, as you would expect from a hotel rooftop bar, but the setting is lovely.
The executive lounge was really nice, open 24 hours and food and drinks when available in there was really good.
For 8 operational lifts the frequency was too slow - too many people cramming into one lift at busy times.

The restaurant is also very, very large, to a level that is not seen for those who love it.
We paid a lot of money for the lounge and did not really enjoy what we got in return.
The hotel lobby is impressive, with luxurious decor that transports us to the East, very spacious, bustling, and pleasant.

I have always loved the huge lobby, even many years ago when it was Imperial Queen’s Park.
If a bathtub was available for a hot bath after a golf game would be wonderful!
So many services: gym, two swimming pools, plus many excellent restaurants and a spa.

Cleaning could be better and especially around and at the pool it was dirty.
It was, in a word, a disaster for being there for work.
The rooftop was also excellent and the service there was perfect

The lobby is really grand, and the scent is wonderful.
I couldn't read the menu, it was very dark.
The facility was beautiful and on the park.

The hotel lobby was spacious and welcoming.
No place to hang in bathroom 。
The hotel facilities are truly excellent.

Speaking of the pool- if you sell your hotel on the basis you have a pool it’s morally wrong to turn around as say sorry we’ve rented it out to a wedding today - it’s like renting a car and them saying can we have a wheel back as we’ve rented it to someone else , same goes for the 38th floor bar.
At least during the time of year we went (December), the sun only hits the pool area until 12 pm and after 4:30 pm... during the period between these hours, we were in the shade...
The sun doesn't shine on the sun loungers by the outdoor pool for long, only in the morning until around 12:30-1:00 PM, and on the other side for sunbathing until 2:00 PM.

Was also closed early (16:30) for a conference on our last day which was inconvenient and unnecessary as the pool area wasn't being used for the conference.
Until half past one, you can still catch a bit of sun in a secluded corner, but after that, it's really completely in the shade.
The pool itself was small for the number of guests at the hotel (the hotel has two towers with over 30 floors...).

There is one pool on the premises, and despite the hotel being fully booked, there were no problems with sun loungers.
While my stay at the Marriott Bangkok had many highlights, the swimming pool not being temperature controlled was a drawback.
The rooftop bar is a bit pricy for drinks and snacks, especially as numerous good quality low-priced bars are nearby.

The hotel is huge and has two average sized pools and not a lot of chaise lounges to accommodate guests.
The pool is in the shade from noon, unheated water, a few sun loungers on the pavement, zero charm.
Nice rooftop bar, unfortunately when it rains they do not cover the sofas that do not dry for hours.

There was construction noise from a nearby site, annoying if you wanted some peace in the swimming pool area
The hotel is very convenient, with a pool, gym, and SPA reservations, making it quite comfortable to use.
7th floor swimming pool and everything was not available to use and I still paid full price.

Very friendly staff, great breakfast buffet, nice pool area, and the sky bar is really worth recommending.
It's a shame that you can't enjoy the sun all day long at the pool area.
If someone expects to sunbathe at the hotel's 9th floor all day, they will be disappointed.

The outdoor pool on the 9th floor had water that was too cold for sunbathing.
The rooftop bar, ambience and atmosphere was great, including views across the city at sunset.
Some felt like they were stationed in the car park and many missing bed cushions

The pool is between two buildings of the hotel, so there is usually no sun
The pool had sharp deck boards and holes in the ground, which requires renovation.
Nice pool…although I didn’t get time to use…so good reason to come back.

Small pool and sun for 2 hours only. no sun from 11am-evening
Pool area was poor. 30 loungers for a 1000 room hotel
The pool area is practically without sun (between two buildings).

Loved relaxing by the pool on 9th floor.
As a result, the water is very cold.
The pool bar serves good snacks and drinks.

Sometimes we had lunch and dinner at the Goji restaurant (despite the hotel having more restaurants, this one was the most affordable), and we were always well served, and the food was very good.
For me Goji restaurant at times felt like a zoo free for all , way to many people and only average food ( I only ate breakfast there )
The food at Akira Back restaurant especially the vegetarian variety was very delicious as well. And Not the usual token items one gets as a vegetarian. Highly recommend.

Guest services and the in-room dining team went above and beyond by sending a complimentary birthday treat and ginger tea when I wasn’t feeling well.
We specifically chose this hotel as we had eaten at the Goji Kitchen in 2019 for Sunday brunch and dinner and it had been superb.
Furthermore, we signed for our consumption plus tip at the rooftop bar, and then we were told that we couldn't charge it to the room.

About ordering food and and made mistakes also forgot to put one menu on bill I have to called and tell the staff
We do every dinner in hotel tea room , that was also very good and fish recipes are plenty in the menu.
We also visited the ABar Rooftop, which is on the terrace of the South Tower and has incredible views of the city.

We were involved in an event and the snacks and buffet catering was the best we have had in many years.
My stay at the Marriott Bangkok sounds delightful, with an impressive lobby and an amazing breakfast to start the day.
There is a Chinese restaurant, but the food there is not tasty at all, I do not recommend visiting it.

The hotel could set prices more in line with the market and encourage guests to eat at the hotel.
I highly recommend going for dinner at the same restaurant, a buffet with excellent food, oysters, sashimi, and crabs.
The ABar Rooftop has a nice vibe to it and a great view of Bangkok, perfect for photos!

On the other hand, an exceptional buffet for the choice and quality at the restaurant in the evening.
The Sunday lunch was still very good but it just wasn't as good as it had been before.
We always have dinner here when we are in Bangkok, even if we are staying somewhere else.

Very friendly staff, great breakfast buffet, nice pool area, and the sky bar is really worth recommending.
The restaurants have a variety of great food for people who want meat in their diet.
I would like to Thank Siam Tea Room for coming up with the little Birthday Surprise.

There is a large variety of food, including a section for vegetarians and those observing kosher.
Had the worst cocktail I have ever had, in any country, at the rooftop bar.
A shame, because the alcohol service did not meet the very high standard of food.

We had to order room service, it was not good and very expensive.
The restaurants didn’t offer a variety of vegetarian and vegan options.
This time there was large prawns and pan fried scallops.

The only restaurant is open starting from 5:00 PM.
A restaurant with a stunning view on the roof.
I wish there was at least one western restaurant.

We requested a late check out due to a night flight, thay did not understand what we wanted and ask to book anther night... until they finally offered a reasonable offer for late chack out....but at 2:00 PM the room entry ticket was locked because it was not updated in the system.
Further I requested for late check out for 3 pm and I am ready to pay full day rent for the same room or basics room but they says the entire hotel is fully booked.
I changed my schedule and forgot to cancel one of the two bookings I made, realizing it on the day of check-in and hurriedly canceling, but I ended up being marked as a no-show.

I checked in at morning 8am (I have confirmed booking from one day before. Total 4 nights) they make me to wait for 1 hour and they simply says the room is not ready.
The reception was poor; the check-in was difficult and inflexible due to untrained staff, and the manager was absent and did not intervene even though I was tired and upset about the situation.
Woman at check in told me the room is getting ready the two rooms and she cannot tell me the room number even though she knows it .

Although it was my fault, I wish they had been more mindful of the possibility of double bookings since there were two reservations under the same name.
At check-in we were told that the hotel is taking a security deposit that exceeded the price of the stay with the breakfast that we requested.
I had to book for two nights though I was only staying one because they would not do late check out as late as I needed.

Despite email communication with the manager, the problem has not been resolved yet, and I must wait at least 14 days to get my money back.
Was teased and told that i might be getting a room upgrade, but because i had booked it thru booking.com they said i wouldn't :(
Many counters are only for check in ? There are no one checking in .. so they are empty.. only few counters for check out..

When booking, we requested a higher floor (but in fact we were on the 6th floor, the view was of course not what we wanted).
I got there at 2:25 I asked them for the room number so I could organise laundry pick up from an outside company .
Check-in and Check -out takes too long as there are not enough staff at the counters + very slow in processing each customer.

On the next day after make-up the room, there were only 2 towers provided and this was happened again throughout the stay.
I asked if they could apply the discount for me, which in basic customer service would be an automatic, "OF COURSE!"
Hotel was kind enough to offer extended check out to help with my late night flight !! That was great.!!

When I show the same to them, they says you check out 11 and re check in at 3 pm.
I called the front desk to arrange it back for 3 persons before we went out at about 3pm.
When we came back after the dinner, it was still not yet ready that I needed to call again.

Room was not available when we arrived at 3:30pm, check-in was stated as 3pm. Was ready at 4pm.
When I asked if Marriot offers a day bed accommodation, they graciously offered an extension to check out.
They never informed us that this deposit would be returned only up to 2 weeks after departure.

When we checked out the charged a deposit on the card that was to be refunded.
We were supposed to pay for the room upon arrival, which we did.
This shocking information met us at the counter at checkout.

Elevator waits were very long even with eight elevators.
Rooms not ready when went check-in at 4pm.
I had to pay again in check out

The hotel is very convenient, with a pool, gym, and SPA reservations, making it quite comfortable to use.
Would also have liked the gym + pool to be open for longer hours.
Enjoying the gym and sauna added to my relaxation.

Fitness center on the 9th floor is top-notch.
Pool and gym are very good.
When I finish my exercise,

Whenever I finish my exercise.
Gym is nice,
Very nice gym.

Gym was fantastic.
Gym was OK.
Good gym.

Excellent gym
Gym

I ordered a taxi to the airport and confirmed it 4 times with 4 people at the reception, and every time they said it was noted. When I went to take the taxi, it turned out it wasn't noted for them, pay attention to that.
They got a driver off the street and the DOORMAN laughed with the driver and told me it was 600 baht (double price) to the airport at 10pm.
The traffic on the road in front of the hotel was terrible, and the Grab that should have arrived in 10 minutes took over an hour.

Anyone who wants to be really close to the malls should keep in mind that it is close but still requires a short taxi ride.
The taxi drivers rip off foreigners, or refuse to use the meter, etc.
So, leaving to go to the airport, this is what I did.

Taxi from airport is 500 baht and takes about 1 hour.
The concierge told the security/doormen to get me a taxi.
Easy to get food via Grab outside the Lobby.

Ease of getting taxis to take me around
Free travel to Shopping center.
Close to the train station

Waiting for the elevators

The hotel is very convenient, with a pool, gym, and SPA reservations, making it quite comfortable to use.
We booked a spa at the hotel and it was simply indulgent and beyond description.
And never any last minutes appointment in the massage

Also needs a cold bath in the spa area
I also had a fantastic massage with Khun Beth.
With an additional spa area.
