Twin Towers Hotel Reviews: Everything Guests Say

In general, I don't understand how this hotel can have 5 stars; what is noticeable is that it may have once been an important hotel with services (for its time) that were exclusive, but currently it is just a large and old hotel with inadequate staff and poor facilities.

To be upfront, you might find large tour groups using the hotel, and this makes perfect sense given the size of the property, but I didn’t find this too intrusive because there is just so much room at The Twin Towers.

I realized that the shuttle provided by the hotel for Euros takes you to the BTS station almost on the last day, and I thought it was near Siam close to the MBK mall.

When I asked a hospitality industry colleague for his tips on a decent, comfortable hotel without the brand name price tag, he suggested The Twin Towers Hotel.

I had the opportunity to stay at the Twin Towers Hotel recently, and I must say that my experience was both memorable and disconcerting.

I didn't like it at all, even though it was a couple visiting, many were being hung up on my boyfriend.

Only the lobby area which looked new and can easily make ppl think its a great place but not!

This is an acceptable hotel stay in terms of location (near MBK) and Yaowarat at short distance

Would highly recommend to all for stay in Bangkok for short or long trip :)

Thanks to the upgrade, I was able to sleep comfortably in a spacious room.

Positioned as a five-star hotel - perhaps it was that way 15 years ago.

Will definitely come back to this hotel on my next trip to Bangkok.

But i kinda of feel that, the amenities cut down is rather disappointing.

It was a good deal.

I highly recommend this hotel.

The bathroom does not have a bidet, and Thai people are accustomed to using one. There should be one. There is no instant coffee in the room for those who do not go for breakfast. Also, the lights should be brighter; it's a bit too dark with insufficient lighting.

There is NO safe in the room to put your passports and valuables in, the bath water is DIRTY, the sheets and EVERY piece of furniture in the room was stained and smelled.

When we enter hotel, the lobby was spacious and so happy but as soon as we got our room, we literally knew we made wrong decision to stay there.

There is noise from the rooms overlooking the hotel’s central air conditioning units, as the room was changed more than twice due to the noise

Some lights didnt work on the master control panel thing in the bedroom so it was kinda bummy but nothing too bad.

The room was very large, the bathroom is quite old and the light in the bathroom was also not very good.

When we arrived and came into the room, there were flowers and petals on the bed, which was very nice.

It became clear that the rooms had not seen the same love and investment in their design and upkeep.

The mattress was very uncomfortable, leading to a restless night's sleep, which is highly undesirable for any traveler.

The room amenities and furniture are very basic and do not meet expectations for this price range.

Absolutely noisy room!! I heard everything what happening on the street, EVERY single car. the Whole night.

Also the room was not cleaned after 6 PM even though we left at 9 AM

One night when we charge our phone, one of the room was totally black out

Apart from the black hair (I'm blonde) found in the bathroom, the room was clean.

The room, in stark contrast to the exquisite lobby and elegant structure, seemed disappointing.

There were six power outlets in the room, of which exactly one worked.

The rooms are indeed very large, but the rest does not match up.

The rooms are not up to the standard of a 5-star hotel.

However, as I entered the room, the beauty-and-beast conundrum unfolded before me.

Toilets look old and worn, a contrast to rest of the room.

Pillows were dirty, we complaint about thus then they changed,

Room is so spacious, just the way I like it.

Beds were soft and supported a good night's sleep.

We are very unhappy with our current room (712), it's under all criticism, there is only 1 electricity socket that is barely useable(it's broken from the wall as well), the lamp in the living room is not working due to the electrical socket isn't working at all so there is only 1 socket left working in the whole room, bathroom socket is also broken/not working.

The rooms where dirty dark out of date bathroom was dirty cockroaches running around the bathroom power points not working Air Conditioning-was other to hot or to cold TV was hard to switch on and I will leave out the gift found behind the bedside table as this would be inn appropriate to discuss

When we arrived and came into the room, there were flowers and petals on the bed, which was very nice and then on Friday it was her birthday and we came back to the hotel and they did the same thing and also with the dessert, it was really nice.

The bathrooms were in need of some investment, the whole set-up looks like it has been the same since the 80s or 90s (whenever the building was built) even just new grout round the tiles would make it seem less old and for lack of a better word run down.

The floor was dirty in the room from the start and was daughter’s feet were so dirty she had to wash her feet after 10 minutes of walking around in bare feet in the room just in the first 30 minutes of checking in.

The room service (1 out of 2 orders unsatisfied), small supplies like toilet paper are provided in small amounts, lack of cleanliness (towels are changed once every two times, beds are made but the floor, dishes, and sanitary facilities are not cleaned daily);

The only thing that was positive for us after the stay was the staff, but now after more than 1 week after they haven't answered my messages about the room we stayed in I'm changing this to bad as well.

They balanced out the very poor service, experienced in the evening by the Chinese Restaurant staff person on the 1st floor one evening who greeted me w/ a frown, and did not return to assist me once I was seated.

I will not recommend this hotel simply due to the fact they apply zero consideration so for me this translates to "we don't care what you think", not the right attitude in the hotel business.

I have to say in all the many years I have been visiting Thailand she is without doubt the most condescending, patronising, sarcastic and downright rude above her station staff member I have ever experienced.

Staff at reception were able to call airport lost property for me, and guide me to the local police station with a cctv photo of the taxis license plate which they gave me.

Compared to other hotels I've been to in Bangkok, front office staff are not as welcoming and helpful... Not saying that they don’t want to, but they always seem to be under pressure.

And when we asked for a bottle opener they told us that if there wasn't one in the room (there wasn't) we should go to the Seven Eleven to have our beers opened...

The hotel workers were amazing very respectful and accommodating special mention to the security person who assisted us in the hospital when my friend had a medical issue.

They did not find our booking when we arrived and when I showed my reciept they just stayed silent so we thought some thing was wrong.

If I were her manager I would put her on notice that she must make changes to the way she speaks to guests.

All staff we encountered, save for the man who took our bags up for us, are stone faced unfriendly, rude and unhelpful.

The staff were extremely friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a smile, which really made the experience special.

Many of the staff were very helpful and were willing to help but not everyone understands English well.

We asked a couple of things at the reception and they couldn't help us at all.

Located on the major Rami IV Road in the Pathum Wan district, a few hundred metres from the Hua Lamphong railway station, once the main hub of the Thai rail network, the hotel is within walking distance of such landmarks at the MBK Shopping Centre and the Siam Fashion and shopping districts.

Firstly the hotel is situated very far from any sights or central locations (50 min walk to the palace) and therefore it was necessary to get taxis which are quite expensive for tourists as they will rarely use the meter.

The biggest downfall is the location where there are no BTS stations or bus stops nearby and you will have to either take a tuk-tuk or a taxi to get around the city.

The location is very close to the beach, about a 5-minute walk, and close to the Benjla street and restaurants. The location is really excellent and the price is very reasonable.

Once went up to the room it smelled like somobe just smoked in it And it smelled like that everyday, people were smoking outside in thebhall waybtoo noise nobrespecr for others

Not a really good location if you want to explore a lot of the neighborhood as most stores are closed. Also it's not walkable distance to the hotspots (like malls)

Among other hotels in Thailand this one stood out, the only place where I felt like I could have been staying in New York not Bangkok.

It was 193 baht from the hotel to Wat Phra Kaew, and it was convenient for sightseeing as it was close to the three major temples.

The location was very very far away from any where you wanna go as there was no place to eat or drink near or exchange shop.

The location was not far from places but not very close to walk so if you are in rush you need taxi

There's not much around, but it was fine since I could walk to the venue for my purpose this time.

The hotel is in a good location, situated close to the MBK Centre and Siam BTS station.

There is a Lawson’s on site and a 7 Eleven a 1 minute walk from hotel.

Could be a little noisy because of the road outside and the tuktuks who park here

The hotel location is not great - Far from BTS or any major shopping malls.

Fairley well situated as only ten minute walk to the Siam centre and BTS.

The location is fairly close to the skytrain (BTS), making everything easily accessible.

The hotel is also very close to the beach which is a plus.

It’s a great place in the heart close to many happenings destinations.

Now when I come to Bangkok, I will know where to go.

Room was facing a busy highway and noise level was very high.

Otherwise very easy to catch a tuctuc or a Grab outside.

There's a 7-Eleven next door, so it's easy to get supplies.

The location was perfect, close to major attractions and restaurants.

Near with Food location and only 50m away from 7/11

It was reasonably centrally located in relation to shopping.

It takes 30 minutes walk to MBK.

The location of this hotel is good.

Like so many properties worldwide, the hotel was closed during COVID and stayed closed for several months afterwards to complete extensive modernisations, which are immediately evident in the cavernous ground floor foyer.

Nothing is complimentary (No tea or coffee inside the room, No WiFi - Please note that expedia says there is free wifi but there is no free WiFi)

The pool is located between the two towers and is arranged in such a way that you don't get even a minute of sunlight throughout the day.

They did have another sauna in another room for 400THB but this was small and enclosed so wasn’t what I had booked for.

While I didn’t use the spa, pool or gym, I did have a quick look and here again, the facilities are quite extensive.

However, I was gutted to be told that the sauna and cold & warm water would not be open for another month.

For longer stays, or for guests who prefer to prepare their own meals or do laundry, these amenities would be incredibly beneficial.

I believe adding an oven and a washing machine would significantly enhance the guest experience and make your hotel even more accommodating.

The only thing that can be better is the Bathroom, the bathrooms are outdated and so is the television set with cable.

The electrical outlets do not work well enough and the shower type is too fixed without using the hose for better cleaning.

Old bathroom and the jacuzzi has limited hours for use, (only possible to use it 3 times a day for 45 minutes)

Hallway carpets are soiled, it seems the property had water damage in the past which has not been fixed since then.

In January unfortunately there was no bar staffed in the hotel, as the entire hotel was closed during the pandemic period.

There is wildlife in the hotel)) one crept in through the sewer, it was half-alive, meaning traps are set and working.

Apparently 3/4 of the hotel is closed, while all of this still seems to be open in the photos.

Gym is closed (has evidently been closed for months as another traveler wrote about it months ago).

Our bags with winter clothes have been there for 20 days at no cost

Their technician came down to us 3/4 times during our 4 night stay.

Sauna on site is not free, pay 200 baht for one hour.

No supporting power sockets to charge phone - all sockets are old

The common areas are beautiful and pleasant, the pool is comfortable.

Not on the list apparently so it will cost 377b each.

However all the equipment looked clean and in working order.

I missed some plugs, especially close to the bed.

Very old hotel: old furniture and bath facilities.

The layout and look was amazing lobby.

I liked the cleanliness and the wifi.

Only one pillow was available per person

Good local facilities but nothing waw.

Do not eat breakfast here, its heavily overpriced at 509 bath per person, its much more worth eating somewhere else, even if you take the sky rail you're not gonna get up to 500 bath per person.

The breakfast buffet was terrible there was little selection and the food was cold eggs were under cooked and they had fried potatoes that were cold as well

The breakfast buffet is ok, although they could have given more options for children's food and there was no hot chocolate and limited selection of juice.

The breakfast wasn’t very good and is definitely too expensive for Bangkok considering what you get (very limited choice and not very tasty).

The breakfast is good, with a variety of food for the price, tasty and clean, and the food staff is very helpful.

Oh and we had breakfast included but it wasn't in the end because of a Booking issue they told us ?

I was disappointed that we were not advised of charges for transfers as well as breakfast fees for our youngest child.

The buffet wasn't that great if you like a western breakfast id suggest going to a cafe or else where.

The breakfast advertised in the lift is far behind the photos, not really worths the hassle nor the price.

It was included, and there is so much food available, many different kind of bread, salad, rice and meals.

A very rich and diverse breakfast with all the additions and options that breakfast has to offer.

I was the only person in there on my first night then the buffet didn’t happen again.

No juice available during breakfast or lunch, but that's only a very minor thing to point out.

I opted for no breakfast as there are two small shops like 7-E nearby.

A wide variety of foods are served for breakfast, with ample choices for vegans.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast every day while we were here.

We were a family of 5 but was charged for breakfast for the child.

The breakfast was very good, just like the meals offered in the restaurant.

The breakfasts, during my 10-day stay, were terrible; the same thing every day

Most important is that everything taste super good so kudos to the chefs!

At the breakfast buffet, there was almost exclusively hot food.

Not sure if the breakfast were catered for muslims.

I thought the prices were a little high.

The restaurant where the breakfast was served has one problem, which is that the orders take a long time, about 20-30 minutes of waiting, and when you order, you feel they are not paying attention to you, and the order comes incomplete, and their service was not good honestly.

The large main restaurant, the Gold Teak, on the ground floor sparkles with new fittings and furnishings and seats 300, while the fancier Fu Marn Lau on the 3rd floor seats 150.

I went for an early lunch in the Gold Teak because I heard a tour group was coming, so I got the first go at the sumptuous spread laid out for them.

It offers a pleasant atmosphere with delightful food and excellent service, making it a suitable choice for those seeking a dining experience away from the more bustling buffet settings.

I'm not sure if it was especially for the tour group who came in later and stripped the plates bare or if they do this every day.

It’s there anything open she said no no breakfast right now @@ but there was people inside eating and she wouldn’t let us go in to eat

The restaurant is very clean, the service is excellent, the staffs are friendly and the food is delicious, especially the lunch buffet and the dinner buffet.

The bar and restaurants are quite expensive but there is a street 5 mins walk away with excellent small restaurants with great food at great prices.

I return at 10 am oh my god she that lady standing there ignore me and went behind that counter talking to others staff ignoring me

The hotel restaurant was closed at 8 pm on 27 Dec so we ended up eating streetfood - with a few other hotel guests.

Than I say okay than any breakfast than she said yeah American breakfast I say ok than she said it’s open at 10 am

The food is somewhat high priced for what you get, it's like they are trying to be The sky bar quality but failing badly.

I have a very great time with Fu Man Lao restaurant ... lovey staff and services .. and the food is very delicious.

Again did not use the restaurant however did think a little on the expensive side especially if with a family.

It stated the hotel had 4 restaurants and a bar, only 1 place was open for food & drinks.

Pool restaurant was closed early (8pm) though the doors were open and they should officially close at 9pm.

A lady who stand there to supposed to greet guests told me dim sum open at 11 am

You can order anything and eat at the restaurant which is conveniently situated just attached to Lobby.

The concierge service is good and choices of breakfast menu for both veg and non veg guests.

The 4, yes four, restaurants offer different food styles (allegedly) but seem to cross over somewhat.

Why does a hotel only stock small 330ml bottles of beer and sell really bad wine.

Otherwise, everything was so neat and clean and the food in their restaurant was lovely.

They rarely have more than a handful of people in, giving them a cold ambience.

We were very disappointed as the menu looked appealing.

The restaurants in the hotel are highly recommended.

The thing was the bar shut until February.

Pool was nice but the ooool side bar the hour was supposed to start at 10-10:30 am no one was her and when staffs pass by when I ask they don’t seem to know anything about the hours

They are not giving permission to women's swim in the swimming pool without bikini which is very bad as I am Muslim. For that my wife can't swim.

The pool which was a very nice outside area had no snacks or drinks to purchase as the bar/restaurant was closed!

Was mis-sold as nowhere to get drinks from at the pool and this was on the 5th floor.

The swimming pool facilities are inadequate, with no proper locker room—only a restroom available for changing.

There is no hot water or soap for showering, and the jacuzzi water is cold.

The pool was definitely a highlight, great for a dip under the Thai sun.

Great to have a pool to relax at the end of the end.

Had a good swimming pool and sauna & steam facilities free of charge.

My request to have both rooms next to each other (there were three of us, no possibility of an extra bed in the room for our daughter) was confirmed by message but when we arrived at midnight, we were given two rooms on the same floor but on opposite sides!

I did not realize that the exercise facilties at this point were only opening at 7AM as I arrived around 23:00 and I did not read small print (my bad).

They are very strict at check-in time, as if you arrive before 2 PM, they won't even let you do a pre-check-in to make it easier when the time comes.

Please be aware that there will be a THB 1,000 deposit and will be return on your last day when you check out of the hotel.

I requested through booking.com a consideration on the last day (2nd booking charges) and was told no, this is our policy, we cannot help you.

They don't accept early check in or guide us like to drop bag, there is a shuttle so i can burn the 3 hours.

Requested early check in but was told very sternly not until 2pm however i saw many other guests being allowed to check in early.

Though I understood policy I asked for a refund due to fact I departed hotel one full nday prior to 2nd booking began

When I returned at 14:05 (official check-in time), I was told that the room with the large bed (my special request) wasn't ready.

The next day, I left early and returned to the hotel around 16:00, the cleaning and the bed had not been done.

I had already paid for the room through booking and they refused to refund me, telling me to contact the website.

For one night or two, it's still acceptable, but for a longer stay, 10 days for us, this is unacceptable! Shameful!

We were warmly welcomed by the receptionist, who kindly upgraded our booking from a standard room to a premium room.

Hotel messed up with the blocked money in my visa card and haven’t got my blocked money back yet.

I found out when I went to the hotel and they offered me no solution despite my distress.

Check-in and out is hassle free, fast and convenient especially with nice and helpful staff attending to you.

There was not the option for early check in when we arrived to the hotel at 5:30 am.

Background: I booked the hotel through booking.com 2 separate bookings as my travel plans changed mid-stride.

Check-in time was delayed by two hours even though I arrived early enough before check-in time

Last day when chekout they came acussing we smoked while we didn't that was uncomfortable.

We had to wait 7 hours after a long way.

They did not reply my messages or phone calls.

There is a shuttle going to MBK Centre but chargeable - I wish they could arrange for a shuttle going back to the hotel as well as the tuktuks charges twice the amount!

Called instead which cost a bomb only to be fobbed off and told to email and surprise surprise got no reply again so we ended up paying for an expensive taxi.

Tried to book the airport pickup service 3 times, first over email a week in advance then again two days before but got no reply.

Shuttle service available every 30 minutes (not operating around the clock), otherwise Grab is cheap and available like everywhere in Bangkok.

They were trying to be helpful and it was probably the (apparent) informal way of doing things in Thailand.

But they have great services for Taxi and the gaurds are extremely helpful in fetching you a taxi.

Advice is to ask the friendly doorman to get you one and ensure they use the meter.

Difficult to get to via public transport in the heat (easy by Grab though)

Be aware of miscommunications with the tour service at the front of the building.

But they booked tickets for us though we did confirm that we wanted them.

Then the shuttle costs money, while in any hotel it's free for guests.

The sites on internet all say they provide that service but apperently not.

Hotel Tuktuk / shuttle every 30 mins for only 30 bahts per person.

With good traffic conditions, you can reach the airport in 35 minutes.

They have a very cheap bus that takes you to strategic places

The taxi drivers in front of the hotel are a bit expensive!

Just walk a few meters and you'll find normal prices again.

Taxi's & tuktuks waiting outside to take you anywhere, can't complain.

Can recomend everyone to download grab. (Like uber) best price.

Easily accessible via any type of taxi and well situated.

No skyline nearby but TukTuk or Grab works too

My experience was good until the point I asked for consideration to use the exercise facilities earlier than 0700AM - refused on consideration due to policy.

The gym demanded gymshoes and that info is not provided anywhere so we could not use it if we didnt buy new shoes.

I brought them from the hotel room to play after gym staff told me a few minutes before that it would be ok.

I was really looking forward to the gym. When we got there, we were told that the gym was closed.

Gym and ping pong: lack of signage about their policy that you could use these facilities once a day only.

This left my kids very disappointed that they could not play ping pong.

Gym was open but staff at the gym followed you everywhere, very annoying.

Lacks a gym (the hotel has plenty of space for one too!)

I booked this hotel because it had a gym and spa, when I arrived I found out they were doing building works so only the pool was in use

Spa is only open 2 hours in the morning, but plenty of other options else where.

Tried the Boran spa on the 5th floor (next to gym) and it was excellent.

They also get you out of the sauna if they suspect you haven't paid extra!

Also appreciated the jacuzzi, quite a bit of space to relax and unwind.

The water is not hot enough for showering, it was cold.

Inexpensive and the therapist did a great job with the massage.

The Massage in the hotel is very good as well

As a guest of the hotel this seemed ridiculous.

This is a big total with great massage service.
