Reviews repeatedly describe a spacious, clean, well-located hotel with friendly staff, a pool, views, and generous breakfast at good value. However, many guests say it is aging, dated, damp, neglected, and not genuinely five-star, citing worn furniture, weak maintenance, equipment problems, occasional hot-water shortages, and unreliable room cards.

The hotel is poorly maintained, the room was old, the floor panels were loose, the air conditioning in the bedroom was directed straight at the bed, overall it is not worth the price in Bangkok.
I paid about 2700 euros for a one-month stay but when I got there found that it was more around 800 euros for the actual value of the property.
Very functional and very spacious accommodation, large swimming pool, very good restaurant (a bit expensive), 15 minutes from Lumpini Park and other restaurants nearby

The hotel could use some renovation, but otherwise everything was fine.. the hotel has a good location and friendly and accommodating staff.
It's really a tourist hotel, so it's a missed opportunity for a change of scenery, there are all nationalities except Thais
The facilities have become outdated and need to be renovated to restore the shine it surely had in its day.

Excellent hostel for the price, very good location, very good view, very good spa and great staff thank you
Honestly, considering the price for this level of facilities and service, I wonder what there is to complain about?
The Urbana Hotel in Bangkok offers excellent accommodation for travelers who appreciate both comfort and a central location.

I find the Hotel very convenient and supports all my needs, both for Traveler and Business work.
Our site had a good place to work from and the internet connection was stable and good.
This is my second time at this hotel, and I love it even more each time!

The whole hotel gave an unkempt impression and did not correspond to the stars indicated.
Everything is close by, great pool, views from the window of the city, friendly staff.
Our stay was really lovely and a perfect place to start our travelling journey!

We like everything here, we always enjoy being guests during our stays in Bangkok.
I booked a Presidential suite with 2 bedrooms for a family of 4.
Overall, I was happy staying with my family even after so many shortcomings.

The hotel is beautiful, clean, and I had a comfortable and pleasant stay.
Hot water only after a least 5 minutes of spilling cold water.
Overall a very good hotel for a short, relaxing stay in Bangkok.

Surely a nice hotel in the summer, but not suitable for winter!
I would come back again if I visit Thailand next time.
Very dissapointed but as they say GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

It was very satisfying, I would recommend this accommodation to others.
Failure to Provide Clear and Accurate Information (Section 4 & 22, Consumer Protection Act B.E. 2522): In the booking listing, the hotel stated under “General”: No smoking, which can reasonably be understood as applying to indoor areas. Under “Outdoors,” the room is advertised with a Balcony. Nowhere did the hotel explicitly state that smoking on the balcony is also prohibited. A balcony is, by definition and logic, an open-air area, and Thai law permits smoking in open-air spaces. The omission of this important detail deprived me of the ability to make an informed decision, in violation of my consumer rights.
Misleading and Unfair Business Practices (Section 22, Consumer Protection Act B.E. 2522): Advertising a balcony while prohibiting its ordinary and lawful use (such as smoking in open air) constitutes misleading representation. This amounts to an unfair contract term and deceptive business conduct, as defined under Thai law. A balcony that cannot be used as an open-air space is no different from a window, making the advertisement deceptive and misleading.

And this was despite the fact that we wanted to extend our stay because we arrived earlier due to our flight. It happened to us twice, and we paid each time. One of those times included a forced upgrade due to "lack of availability". I can't even imagine what would have happened if it had been the other way around.
The worst hotel you could stay in. You feel like you are surrounded by people just waiting to catch you on anything so they can make you pay. The hotel is old, and the elevator got stuck on us several times. The rooms are infested with cockroaches, and the location is bad.
The overall service is very bad, you should definitely avoid this place, I have been working and traveling in Bangkok for the past 2 years, staying in a multitude of hotel, this is the first time I experience such a poor behavior. I will never go back there again.

Rooms: What guests say
View Urbana Sathorn Hotel, Bangkok1,445 relevant reviews
Rooms and suites are consistently praised for being exceptionally spacious, comfortable, well-equipped, and often offering excellent Bangkok views. However, repeated reports describe dated, worn furnishings and bathrooms, weak or leaking air conditioning, drainage or hot-water problems, dust and damp smells, poor street-noise insulation, and inadequate blackout curtains; maintenance quality varies considerably.

I made a mistake with the room reservation and booked different room types for one night each, but to stay in the same room, I had to either pay an extra fee for one night or downgrade, so I downgraded and stayed while paying the same amount of money.
We are smokers and chose this hotel because the room had a balcony, when checking in, we were told that the only place in the hotel where smoking is allowed is next to the entrance door, on the street, outside the hotel.
The hotel that was more like an apartment with a kitchen, living room, and lounge was great, very clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen was equipped with a microwave, plates, pans, among other things.

You could see the difference in terms of the somewhat inconvenient location of charging spots, completely randomly placed light switches, coffee/tea being basic nescafe/lipton despite the high price of the rooms, relatively patchy internet, etc.
No hot water for 2 days and they forgot to take care of it after the first call, I had to go down and complain physically to get it resolve within the day
After a second attempt at trying to rectify the problems with rooms and the hotel's refusal to honour the booking for rooms which included the facilities as specified on the booking.

There was a smell of cigarettes in the room. The trash cans were never cleaned, and that was where the smell was coming from. The air conditioner worked poorly.
We especially appreciated that the bedroom was separate and could be closed off from the rest of the room, which had both a kitchen and a living room.
I stayed on the 10th floor, but unfortunately, there was a lot of noise from the busy street below, where traffic runs more or less around the clock.

You shouldn’t need darkness to sleep because the curtains are not at all blackout, and it’s completely bright in the room as soon as the sun rises.
The air conditioning in the rooms is very poor, the washing machine needs a technician to wash your clothes or you won't be able to open it.
Which of course is an even bigger pain in the behind when you know that you also need a working room card to use the elevator.

The room was so big and there are two independent rooms and a living room in our rooms which is great for a group of travelers.
Even though we were on the 27th floor, there was very loud traffic noise from the road until 2:00 AM. It was impossible to sleep.
I requested to change to an upper floor room, they gave me a room on the 9th floor while I was originally on the 10th

We said we wanted to speak to a manager to refund our stay but there was no one available till 7am the next morning.
The room is fully equipped with everything you need, though some items may be a bit old, they are still in good working condition.
In the bedroom the wallpaper was starting to peel off of the wall and was also very dirty and the windows also were filthy.

The furniture was pretty old, it’s a bit dark in the room and the hot water in the shower needs a clear instruction.
The interior was rather dated, desperately in need of a renovation - we found the price to be in line with this though.
I say rooms in plural because I asked to be moved to another room because of the smell, and it was the same.

The closet doors are missing, some curtains are torn, lampshades are broken, wallpaper is scraped, and there are cracks in the sink.
We loved the spaciousness of our apartment, and the view was really beautiful over one side of the city that overlooks PATONG.
The bathtub faucet was not working, and what was really bad was the falling apart air conditioning in the living room.

The shower was cold and dripped, and I couldn't get in the shower properly (the door was the wrong way around).
The suite made available to me is not worth five stars; there was no safe, and the furniture where the safe should have been was damaged and had holes where the fittings were. The carpet in the room was dirty and stained in many spots, the hardwood floor in the living area was dirty and scratched, the shower faucet did not hold properly, thankfully I have plumbing knowledge, the TV cabinet door was misaligned and ready to fall down, and it had many dents which made it look ugly.
It was dirty under the bed, a lot of dust, when we arrived the bathroom faucet was broken and I had to call for maintenance to fix it, and they charge you for anything that's dirty when you check out, they charged us for a dirty towel and bathrobe that just needed to be machine washed and the stain came out, and they charged us the full price of the item, something I had never seen anywhere, it disappointed me, it was unfair.

The carpets are dirty, the walls are dirty; the hotel needs to pay more attention to cleanliness and furniture. It lacks the simplest amenities, and specialized staff. Everything is by request; they didn't clean the apartment for two days. Towels were not available even though I previously asked them in a message and they confirmed they had them, but they only provided them upon request and brought two that were worn out, one of which was torn in part.
Despite months of advance notice AND written confirmation from the hotel, I did not get a room on the upper floors, but instead in the basement --> extremely loud, impossible to sleep due to the location on a six-lane road and opposite a hospital, the room was totally run down with torn headboards, holey towels and bathrobes, dirt, wallpaper peeling off the walls, broken fittings held together by screws, curtains ripped down, doors broken off the cabinets.
They gave me a junior suite but it was an old room with broken furniture, dirty carpet, animals in the bathroom, a missing shower plug, stains on the carpet, torn curtains, leftover furniture filling the room, non-functioning internet, a broken balcony handle that didn't close, letting in all the noise from heavy traffic.

Location: What guests say
View Urbana Sathorn Hotel, Bangkok940 relevant reviews
Reviews most often describe a central, convenient location in Bangkok’s Silom/Sathorn area, near restaurants, convenience stores, parks, and public transport. BTS/MRT access is typically a 10–18-minute walk rather than immediate. Some mention heavy traffic, street noise, and frequent ambulances; upper-floor city views and nearby local food are notable positives.

Beware of tuk tuks standing in front of the hotel - they constantly tried to bring us to some place to take a river boat to a floating market - DO NOT TAKE IT.
Our biggest annoyance was the noise from the main road in front of the hotel, even on the 12th floor (this hotel has 34 floors). I'm already a bad sleeper!
However, it is 1km to walk to public transport, and getting a ride in the evening during rush hour is almost impossible due to constant traffic jams.

The location is a bit far from the bts station and it’ll be more convenient to travelers who take taxi as their main transportation in Bangkok.
There is Convent Street nearby where you can buy food at night, and there are many massage shops in the area as well.
Overall, the hotel is well located, the rooms are full apartments with everything you need, including all kitchen utensils and a washing machine.

Then we asked the girl driver to take us to the right place and she did, and we paid the right price.
Bad Location - located in the worse traffic area in Sathorn and not very convenient to connect to downtown shopping district.
This place is centrally located, so moving around party places like Silom Soi 2 and 4 was just so easy.

Location is great u can reach bkk city center quickly, china town, Chaophraya river is also not far away.
Location is in the quieter area of Bangkok so getting out for food for the kids was sometimes difficult.
A bit far from the subway stops, you have to walk between 12 and 18m to the stop

The place is far from Nana Street and the Arab quarter; you need a taxi for every trip.
This is not the right place for those who want to be in the middle of the action.
In principle, if you want to live in the center and are not picky, it will work!

The view from the 21st floor was outstanding and the apartment itself was in a good location.
Great hotel in the center, with a beautiful view of the city and a scenic pool.
If you are into public transport, the hotel is close to the Metro, Skytrain, and buses.

A decent view of the city in the evening if you have a high floor.
You can buy alcohol if you go to a convenience store a little further away.
The location is ideal, in a neighborhood well-served by the tram and also by taxis.

This was our second stay in Bangkok during our previous visit to Urbana Langusan.
The view is consistently magnificent. Especially the view of Ole Scheeren's (German architect) building.
The view is very nice, even though we were only on the 13th floor.

The location is ok, not the best location if someone doesn't like to walk.
Unfortunately, the good location has a downside; it is located right on a busy street, and there is a hospital around the corner - emergency vehicles passing by frequently, also very difficult to reach by taxi and tuk-tuk during rush hour - better to use the BTS or metro.
Also, if you head towards the MRT station, there’s Don Quijote and a small shopping mall, and if you go downwards, there are delicious coffee shops and local markets, so I found the area around the accommodation to be the most authentically Thai and impressive.

Nearby 7/11, Lumphini Park, shopping centers within a 15-minute drive, beautiful view from the 26th floor, easy to call a taxi (the area in front of the hotel allows the driver to pull up nicely and safely board the car).
The location is about a 15-minute walk from the MRT station, so we mostly took taxis, but from the bus stop in front, we went directly to Asiatique and took the MRT to Korea Town without any trouble moving around.
Additionally, the hotel's location is very convenient, situated just a short distance from popular attractions such as Silon, Lumpini Park, and various other significant landmarks throughout the city, making it an ideal choice for both leisure and sightseeing.

Staff: What guests say
View Urbana Sathorn Hotel, Bangkok871 relevant reviews
Most guests describe the staff as friendly, welcoming, helpful, and responsive, with particularly positive mentions of receptionists, doormen, luggage assistance, and quick service. However, several reports cite unfriendly or indifferent reception staff, poor problem follow-up, inconsistent late-checkout and deposit handling, and occasional unprofessional attitudes or limited customer-service training.

The staff was rude and they were asking for extra money juat to bring blanket for my 1 year old boy as they don’t have crib for him while they mentioned before making reservation that they will provide, but they were saying it is with other customer !
The staff were quite friendly, and since we stayed for six days, we didn’t request the cleaning service separately, but if you called for towels, water, or toilet paper, they would bring them to your room and pick up the used ones.
They are not interested to upgrade themselves when we ask them to provide something they ask us to come down to get those things and go back to our room which is located in 27th floor

If the dishes in the kitchen are not cleaned in time or if you're too tired to do so, the hotel staff who clean daily are very helpful and wash them (super heartwarming).
Surprisingly, we were then offered a late checkout if we paid the full room rate for an additional night, which seemed inconsistent with the claim that no rooms were available.
They refused to give us a clear answer, leaving us "on hold" until 3 PM, not even telling us whether we should pack our bags or not.

The receptionist collaborated with the airport driver and pressed an option to assist him, and I was fined an amount of money because of her intervention.
But when we told the staff about it, they quickly came and checked it, apologized for the inconvenience and immediately changed the room for us.
So...I pulled out my phone, showed him multiple messages back and forth for the entire week through booking, most messages were from him directly.

However, our request for a late checkout until 1:00 p.m. was declined, and we were only allowed to stay until 12:30 p.m.
Also, we are all girls and it is very dangerous if the door cannot be locked. Overall, the accommodation experience was terrible!
The employees who work in front desk are highly appreciated specially Ms. Pear and one more lady who wear teeth braces

It was heartbreaking to feel like we were being a nuisance just for wanting our child to breathe clean air.
When I requested again an hour later, they told me I had to buy water, so I just checked out.
A security deposit of 2,000 Thai Baht was confiscated due to the staff's delay in bringing down my luggage.

Despite staying for 5 days in our apartment they only allowed us 2 hrs after much persuasion and deliberation.
So we waited 3 hours at the reception after a long journey without anyone coming to see us.
I needed another card key they warning me if you lost it you have to pay 200 bht.

Overall, the experience with the staff feels like they are looking for reasons to complain about us.
I was welcomed with rules like boarding school, NO smoking in balcony, you can’t have extra towel.
Pitty the people that should welcome you at the reception are really unfriendly and not helpful

Staff were courteous and the location is convenient, and they did respond to our complaint.
I only recommend taking a tour from the hotel, the person arranged only provides transportation.
The hotel staff came to the room and left in the same way they came.

We mentioned it to the staff and they acted as if it wasn't their issue.
I asked one of the reception staff who was working that night for the lighter, she was telling us with a cranky voice that we can’t have smoke in the room so that made me upset from her cranky attitude, instead she should remind us about the rule and should use a nice voice not a cranky voice.
When I arrived at the hotel and completed the check-in process, I asked the staff for help with a late check-out for two hours, and their response was that it depended on the availability of rooms and that there was no objection to a late check-out if they were vacant.

The charge me twice and the promise to return my money if I show I paid by booking . Com but first I have to pay cash, but later after I show the msg they refuse to return my money, and said it’s not there problem it’s booking.com problem
Especially a receptionist named (Fofo). During the earthquake, my daughter was in the elevator, and she tried her best to calm us and help us open the elevator despite the danger of staying inside the building; nevertheless, she did not hesitate to help. It was an unforgettable moment.
The hotel receptionist came up to give me another towel and when I told her about the smell she told me it was because the AC hadn't been turned on in a while... (we left the AC running for a few days and the smell did not go).

Pool: What guests say
View Urbana Sathorn Hotel, Bangkok750 relevant reviews
The large seventh-floor rooftop pool is repeatedly praised for its skyline views, especially at night, and for being spacious, clean, and relaxing. However, recurring reports describe missing or broken glass railings, inadequate barriers and serious fall risks, plus worn loungers, slippery or outdated surroundings, broken hot tubs/saunas, and occasional renovation disruption.

You can use the pool, but they are doing construction on the pool bar and it is impossible to relax with all the noise from the construction in the background...
The pool itself is so nice that you could easily lounge there all day, eating and drinking all day long, if the prices weren't so ridiculous.
The pool bar does not serve cocktails at 6 PM, only beers or soft drinks; it's a shame, it's a beautiful place but poorly managed.

I chose this place because it had the most appealing pool among those I looked up, and it was even better in reality.
Unfortunately, the pool area is not suitable for children as there is no children's pool or a separate area for kids.
A nice pool on a high floor, but there are never enough loungers; there was not a single one available.

It only gets 4 hours of sun in a day before the sun goes behind all the surrounding buildings.
Prices at the pool bar are not a bargain, and communication regarding the order was a bit clumsy.
Artificial grass over wooden planks with holes that you can't see and loose boards. Loungers with protruding nails.

The pool could use some cleaning, it shouldn't be so dirty, especially the edges at the pool
The infinity pool on the 7th floor is awesome, and they have a bar next to it.
No towel on hardwood deck chairs without mattresses, not to mention the construction around the pool

The pool was comfortable to play in (it was better because there weren't many people).
Sometimes you cannot get a towel for swimming pool because they say “we’re all out.”
About 3 meters of the glass railing is missing... free fall into the yard.

When walking on the AstroTurf you felt there were places under that needed repair.
The pool on the 7th floor has an excellent view on the skyline
The pool is very pleasant but a bit cold for this warm climate

Pool was in refurbishment but we got to use pool from another Urbana
The pool on the 7th floor with a bar is a highlight.
The pool is on the seventh floor and it is incredible too.

PS: It is supposed to be back in operation from February 6th...
Lovely pool and bar area with great views across the city!
Great location beautiful rooms and pool area and a great breakfast

Decent pool with a great view, neighboring Hilton would be envious.
They offered us the option to use the pool at another hotel, providing taxi or Uber transportation - it wasn't very comfortable - especially since the pool at the other hotel had fewer than 10 sunbeds, so when we got there we ended up sitting on the floor because only one sunbed was free.
Looking at the pictures we thought the swimming pool will be at the rooftop or that it will be kind of infinity pool, it turned out to be on around 7 floor, neverthelles the view was still great

We were somewhat tempted by the photos of the pool in the evening with beautiful lighting and a lit skyline in the background, but before it even starts to get dark, the pool is already closed.
We had noticed the not many were drinking from the pool bar as the prices are very high,we had a couple of drinks but stopped due to the prices and no happy hours or specials.
Knowing that they had a planned pool renovation, they should inform customers about it in advance - we could have looked for something else, and as it was, the stay turned out to be poor.

Breakfast: What guests say
View Urbana Sathorn Hotel, Bangkok581 relevant reviews
Breakfast is often praised as abundant, varied, delicious, and international, with fresh fruit, juices, and made-to-order eggs. Recurring drawbacks include a small, crowded cafeteria-like room, noisy conditions, Asian-heavy choices with little European food or no cheese, tasteless dishes, poor coffee, waiting for eggs, and slow buffet refills.

Maybe ask the chef not to use his fingers to pick on the food to put into house mouth that he has played out to us for the breakfast buffet would be really appreciated.
The buffet breakfast was varied and what I liked a lot was finding options for Thai food and from other countries in the region every day.
I stayed for 7 consecutive nights this time, and overall, the breakfast was pretty good. However, there could be a bit more variety.

The room was spacious, and it was nice that the breakfast area and pool were adjacent, creating a sense of openness.
We were also unable to purchase drinks at the breakfast buffet (10:00 AM) on the morning of our arrival.
When we asked why there was no cheese, the staff simply replied, “We don’t have a cheese section.”

Breakfast was also outstanding great variety and one of the better hotel breakfasts I’ve had in Bangkok.
Breakfast - last time (two years ago) the breakfasts were better, now there is less choice.
The breakfast room feels like a canteen, which does not match the rest of the hotel.

Breakfast was fantastic every day! Something/s new everyday. Never the same. I can appreciate that.
The breakfast could be more varied, I found limited options in the sweet breakfast.
Breakfast room has also had an upgrade is now new but plain and uninviting.

The breakfast is a bit expensive compared to the available options around the hotel.
We didn't have breakfast but went out into the city, which was nice.
The breakfast coffee is one of the worst I’ve had maybe ever.

An extractor fan in the breakfast room is not a luxury there.
The breakfasts are varied, with plenty of options to choose from.
I find the price of breakfast to be a bit expensive.

During breakfast, we could watch the workers with the construction noise.
Breakfast was not as European as we would have liked.
Breakfast buffet was good and everyday they change menu too.

The breakfast is in a hall on the 7th floor.
The breakfast was very Asian-focused (warm rice and vegetables).
(I did miss cheese, but that's just a detail.)

The breakfast menu was excellent with a wide choice.
One downside is that the breakfast variety is not very extensive, and there are very few drink options; the fruit is not very fresh, with even small flies flying around, and the taste of the dishes is not very good, but it's enough to fill you up.
The service during breakfast was not organized, they mixed up orders between tables and did not serve them in order, but that was just part of it, most of it was a buffet and there was enough food

Our stay did not include breakfast, so when we went, they told us it was 300 baht for adults and 150 baht for children, but when we checked out it came to 940 baht, how?!! I don't know.
On the last day, there was chicken that was edible, but it finished quickly, and not everyone got some, and they didn’t replenish the hot dishes. Instead of chicken, they served a pile of fatty sponge balls.
Breakfast was a pleasant mix of cuisines, with homemade dumplings, meat with vegetables and rice, or soup available for those who wanted to try, otherwise there were fresh eggs prepared in various ways.

Facilities: What guests say
View Urbana Sathorn Hotel, Bangkok486 relevant reviews
Guests praise the excellent location, large apartments, city views, cleanliness, covered parking, pool terrace, and generally good service. Recurring concerns include aging furniture and facilities, poor maintenance, sparse kitchenware, weak or delayed hot water, noisy or leaking air conditioning, slow or faulty elevators, and pool-area safety and repair issues.

I don't understand why you have to leave a deposit of 4,000 Baht in cash or by credit card in case you damage the room, when they have your card information from the Booking reservation.
It seems if they would charge a reasonable prices for things like a rum and coke or a banana shake I would have spent much much more.
The hotel is a bit dated and could be spruced up with little effort (modern, stylish curtains, a bit of wall paint...), new chair covers.

There is a table for table tennis, a badminton court, but the equipment is very worn out, we couldn't find a table tennis ball.
It's a shame that the bathroom is not very well stocked with certain supplies and there are missing utensils for the kitchen.
As a result, there is a gathering of smokers at the "smoking area" which is located not far from the entrance.

Unfortunately, the information about the troublesome elevators was confirmed; fortunately, we got stuck only once and for a short time.
We did not cook, but with only a small pot available and a frying pan, you definitely can't cook.
In general, the hotel facilities are quite good (common areas, the pool, the room on the 27th floor).

Lobby area of the hotel is too hot, they are not using a air condition outside the room
The furniture in the dining room looks very cheap and does not correspond to a 4-star hotel.
It was clear from the faucets that the hotel has been around for a few years longer.

There weren’t bath robes in the room and just one qty of shower gel and shampoo.
The AC had a water drip issue which was fixed as soon as I reported.
But this may be due to the fact that we were on the 26th floor.

Lift can only be used with a room key, which had to be renewed twice.
There were clearly too few pool loungers - especially since families were also on site.
No toaster, no kitchen towel, no dishwasing liquid, you have to ask for ropes

The facility doesn’t have a disability equipment that were easy for us to access.
Nice swimming pool, Gym and sport hall with basketball, tennis table and badminton!
The facilities on site are really great including a large pool and view.

Facility, water heater boiler wasn't working had to call housekeeping but promptly repaired.
It was not clean at all, outdated decoration, damaged furniture and equipment.
The hotel is a bit worn out, but it doesn't stand out.

Later that day both were working again and there were no problems.
Even though the website states that there is a swimming pool for small children, there isn't one at the hotel because the webpage has not been updated. There is only a jacuzzi, which the staff understand to be a children's pool, where small kids can play, but it has to be shared with adults and is quite dangerous if they don't balance well.
That your breakfast room ceiling was leaking water & it was very easy to see when sitting at any table, that the leak (which obviously has been there for some time by the condition of the ceiling where the leak was)... not acceptable to have water dripping from the ceiling into buckets whilst having breakfast.

Scam with the dirty towel at the moment of leaving the hotel while the taxi was waiting for us and we didn't have time to explain, forced to pay for the room in advance and not on-site as mentioned by booking, they circumvented it by saying that the credit card was not valid!!
Average waiting times on lifts to 10th floor is 10 to 15 mins just to get to room or back to reception as there 4 lifts which go to different floors and does not help when they got lifts out of order and there slow also when going to different floors
Additionally, you can tell that the problem has been there for a substantial amount of time as there is an overwhelming amount of black mould appearing on the ceiling & around the aircon vents - this is an absolute health hazard and should be addressed asap.

Check-in / Check-out: What guests say
View Urbana Sathorn Hotel, Bangkok230 relevant reviews
Check-in/out feedback is mixed: repeated complaints cite a strict 3 PM check-in, waits, rushed or complicated service, and deposits of 3,000–6,000 THB, sometimes held 30–35 days or refunded slowly. Guests also report disputed minibar charges and room checks, while some praise fast procedures, room changes, luggage storage, and flexible late checkout.

The reception was frankly unpleasant after you have traveled for a whole day, the only issue with the receptionist is her deposit and I assure you it is not the amount of 1000 baht that bothers me but the principle of suggesting that I withdraw money at the counter, or make a credit card that will be returned to me a month later
Their booking policy was unclear and they refused to let us in even though we had a reservation and had paid, for a reason that doesn't make sense, which is that the visa must match the one used for booking. Unfortunately, we didn't have it and had to pay again to enter and are now waiting for them to refund the first amount.
I didn't like that when I was leaving at 12 noon, I asked them to delay for an hour, and when I came down to reception exactly at 1:05, the reception staff asked me for 1900 Baht for the hour. This was very disappointing and an unprofessional way to treat a customer in just one hour.

The organization and the booking logic are a bit questionable; we reserved our room with breakfast included via booking.com, but upon arrival, we were charged extra for breakfast, not to mention that we had to pay a deposit upon arrival which was not indicated on the website.
As a Booking.com guest, I was eligible for a late check-out benefit. Instead, they only gave me an extra 30 minutes to pack and leave, claiming the hotel was fully booked—which I honestly find hard to believe.
Instead of sleeping and resting on my first night, I had to wait while the hotel staff tried to make the room usable—something that should have been done before a guest checks in.

They took 4000 baht from me for four nights as a deposit, and I gave it to them in cash and they returned it to me in full at checkout
They are very keen for you to check out on time and if you are more than 10 minutes late they will charge a half days hire.
As the clock struck 3, everyone was allowed to check in, meaning a massive queue, and we didn't get into our room until almost 4pm.

Took a while to get used to the room service and front desk closing at 6pm but was fine after a couple of days.
I promptly raised the issue with them, but they seemed unaware of the double payment and insisted that it was an advance payment.
And at our check-out, we waited 10 minutes before being able to leave, although we hadn’t been informed of this at check-in.

They charge you a high deposit which they return to you a month and a half after your reservation starts.
When we walked to the reception, the ladies we had previously spoken to were gone and someone else was there.
At the hotel, they forced her to pay again, promising to refund the amount I paid to my card.

We were called several times in the morning and reminded that we had to check out by 12.
If you arrive even 1 minute before the check-in time, they will never let you into the hotel.
But they charge the money on the card and the refund is made within the following month.

However they have a large lobby and are happy for you to use until whenever you need.
The service, when I checked in, offered us a much larger room at no extra cost.
When we arrived in the morning the staff told us our room was not ready!

We liked that after check-out they let us stay by the pool all day.
They said OK and threw away the printout, they didn’t take any money.
When we got there, we were told they were still cleaning our room.

They charged us almost five euros for a small bottle at check-out
Make sure to book when you're certain, as it’s a non-refundable reservation.
Check in was slow and no rooms was available till almost evening.

After 6 PM until midnight, about 2800 Baht will be charged.
Check in and out a bit slow and not very welcoming.
The deposit has still not been refunded 14 days after departure.

Gym: What guests say
View Urbana Sathorn Hotel, Bangkok84 relevant reviews
The gym is generally considered spacious, functional, and well equipped, with distinctive basketball, badminton, squash, table-tennis, and multipurpose sports facilities. However, recurring complaints mention outdated or rusty equipment, worn seating and carpets, poor upkeep, broken machines, occasional access problems, and an early 20:00 closing time.

- The gym had old and worn equipment, it could have been much better since there was a large space and a great view.
The building looks a bit old/poor maintenance (especially the gym and elevators), but still functional and comfortable.
The gym is really very good, with also a badminton court, basketball, and table tennis!

The gym is very well equipped, with a basketball court, futsal, and other possible activities.
The hotel offers plenty of activities such as the gym, swimming pool, badminton court, etc.
The existing gym is well equipped, although it could use a little cosmetic attention.

The fitness room, the gym (our child loved playing soccer, basketball, table tennis, badminton)
We have being in the gym and the basket place and was very good.
Room, breakfast, gym, pool all very good and the staff were wonderful

There are also a huge multipurpose sports hall and a squash court.
The same goes for the gym and sports area. A bit dated.
Use their amazing GYM and sports facilities, SQUASH court, BADMINTON and BASKETBALL.

My daughter also really enjoyed the basketball hoop and the gym.
Super fitness room with all the essentials and a great view.
The gym, although serving a purpose, is in need of maintenance.

The gym was adequately diverse and there was plenty of space.
The sports hall had a leak and badminton rackets were damaged
The gym is great with just the right amount of equipment.

The machines where outdated and one of them was fully broken
As well as a gym with all the necessary equipment.
We were able to enjoy the gym and the pool.

I'm not even talking about the fitness space
Great gym, basketball, badminton court, ping pong table
The small gym is adequate for vacation.

Gym is also very well equipped.
The gym provide activities to do
The gym closes too early (20.00)

I liked the fitness center.
- gym poorly equipped
The gym, the playgrounds....

Restaurant: What guests say
View Urbana Sathorn Hotel, Bangkok82 relevant reviews
Reviews repeatedly describe the in-house restaurant and pool bar as severely overpriced for Thailand, with average, basic, or sometimes poor food and limited menus. Many report the kitchen closing around 5:30–6:00 PM, leaving no dinner or bar service. Positives include good tom yum, hamburgers, Pad Thai, breakfast, and friendly staff; nearby restaurants are often preferred.

The thing we liked the least was the food in the restaurant. It was extremely expensive, a pad thai cost 4 times more than elsewhere, but the worst part is that the food at the hotel is disgusting.
Well, when you sell a can of beer that costs 40 in the store for 180, at least include tax in that price and add 7 percent for service, but no!
The in-house restaurant was also ridiculously overpriced, the Pad Thai costs over 300 Baht here and doesn't taste any better than the classic street Pad Thai for 80 Baht.

I didn’t like about the restaurant staff… While walking suddenly got hit to the glass… Nobody came and atleast showed no concern on me. i felt bad for that
Taking coffee from the restaurant is okay if you pay for the paper cup (they say is "takeaway") but if you drink your coffee inside the restaurant is free...
And of course, on the site the restaurant closes at midnight, but in reality it closes at 6 PM, that was one of the reasons for my choice

No restaurant or bar open after 6 pm - which with children was tricky as you had to go out every day for dinner
We were 8 travelers and could not eat together in the restaurant, which for the size of the complex was very small.
We went to Khao Lak to a 4-star resort and the restaurant food was the same price but incredibly good!

The good food and the clean facilities were what I liked the most, and the hotel staff were very friendly.
We met a lady who got very sick and left early back to Germany because of food issues.
It was still charged to us, I mentioned it to the waiter but received no feedback or apology.

Restaurant very basic, staff not very attentive, ok for breakfast but not for more, use e.g. Grab Food.
Despite the mention of a restaurant and bar in the hotel's description, neither were available during our stay.
The kitchen closes at 6 PM, which would be more convenient if it were two hours later.

We declined, as we did not feel like eating there after finding both mold and cockroaches.
The restaurant was relatively small for the size of the hotel, but the food was delicious.
The hotel restaurant should be avoided, we ordered a dish with shrimp that smelled awful.

The food and drink at the restaurant and pool bar are not very good comparatively.
The dining room is a bit dark and hot even though the Ac is on.
An outdated hotel. There aren't many dining options unless you order Grab from outside.

The only negative thing was that the internal restaurant closed early, around 5-5:30 PM
It was double or triple the price compared to outside the hotel.
The restaurant would receive an award from me, very, very good food

Hotel Restaurant is overpriced and the quality of food was very average.
The food is acceptable and they have an excellent fruit platter.
The restaurant for dinner is only really a last resort.

Good restaurants (especially the Philippine one around the corner)
The food was okay but it still needs improvement.
Again, it is overpriced for food and drinks.

Transport: What guests say
View Urbana Sathorn Hotel, Bangkok53 relevant reviews
Public transport is reachable but not immediately adjacent: most guests report a 6–15-minute walk to BTS/Sala Daeng or the subway, while some estimate 20 minutes, uncomfortable in Bangkok heat. Grab/Bolt and taxis are generally affordable and easy to arrange, though evening congestion is heavy. Several guests report hotel-arranged taxi overcharging or unreliable airport transfers; no hotel shuttle.

You exit the hotel, go to the right, and walk quite a distance to reach the Chong Nonsi station. If you go straight out from the hotel and cross over the pedestrian bridge, you walk to the right, take the first street on the left, and walk to the end; then a bit to the left, and you'll find Sala Daeng station.
The door men try to cheat me when asking for a taxi going to China town at Monday 8Am he said I bring you sir you just stay here at lobby , he talked to the driver in Thai and told me price 300 baht one way and no meter coz traffic jam.
Em we booked a car to the airport one day ago, but the day we gonna go haven’t seen the car, it took our 30mins time and made us feel anxious about the plan.

The journey to the international airport takes about 50 minutes, but there are frequent traffic jams in the city center, so be mindful of the time.
Grab also does a lot of food delivery like Uber in Japan, so ordering Thai food for dinner in Bangkok can also be a fun experience.
But it was exhausting and took a long time to crawl through traffic for half an hour each way (walking probably took about the same time).

You can go anywhere in Bangkok for around 1000 yen, and if you go to the suburbs, it will be about 2500 yen one way.
As long as you don't exit at the gates, you can try everything out; you just travel somewhere and catch the next one back.
Whether it's the pink line, light green, or dark green, always check what the endpoint of that line is; that's on the signs.

It's not far, but it is difficult when it is very hot, and it was 39 degrees in the shade when we stayed.
Once we waited 15 minutes for the elevator because there were so many people... we had to walk up all 14 floors.
The card system for the lift is dreadful and we had to ask numerous times for our cards to be re-set.

The subway is a 10-minute walk away, but it's more convenient to get around by taxi if it's not rush hour.
No payment with tap & pay or Amex for security deposit, made me to go to an atm and get cash.
I stopped taxi myself let go away and went with75 baht and back 95 including Tip and was per meter taxi

It was about a 20 mins walk to train and about the same distance walking to the sky train.
We were given the alternative to take a taxi to the partner hotel and be picked up again.
Unfortunately, the hotel is not correctly marked on Google Maps, so the navigation to it did not work.

Staff said it was just our card but we met several people in the lifts also complaining.
Taxis are easy to catch, but be cautious as the area can get congested in the evening.
Hard to find by taxi at night cause the front logo has no light at night

You do have to walk quite a bit to get to a BTS (skytrain) station.
They didn't want to go more than once, even though we stayed for 3 nights.
From there you can go to central Siam; from there you can go anywhere.

The hotel provides a free taxi transfer to another hotel with a pool.
It is a good 10/15 minute walk from the skytrain or subway.
In Tokyo, that distance would cost about 20,000 yen.

I strongly recommend using Grab taxi for transportation.
Don't forget to install the Grab app.
Samui taxi drivers are an outright ripp-off.

Spa: What guests say
View Urbana Sathorn Hotel, Bangkok19 relevant reviews
Spa facilities are frequently unavailable: guests repeatedly report nonfunctional jacuzzis, saunas, or a closed spa, with one saying the jacuzzi remained unusable since 2022. When operational, the sauna is described as hot, relaxing, and spacious, but also aging and poorly maintained. Massages are available in-room but considered overpriced.

The worst part was that both in the spa area (where both the jacuzzi and the sauna were not working) and in our room (Deluxe Suite Horizon), only very cold water came out instead of warm, which should not be the case at this price category.
The sauna was not as expected; in the pool area, part of the glass balustrade is missing, and you can still see that it was once cordoned off (7th floor, but not in the place where you would usually look).
None of the saunas (neither men's nor women's) nor any of the Jacuzzis (neither the men's, nor the women's, nor the outdoor one) were working.

I didn't use it, but there is a room service menu and you can order a massage to your room (1200 THB for 60').
In the shared sauna, the wooden slats on the floor were loose, which made it easy to hear oneself poorly on nails sticking up.
Massages, better not to do it there; it's four times more expensive than a massage on the street.

The jacuzzi was not in use in 2022, and it still isn't.
Sauna (maybe a bit old but still very hot and relaxing)
It's a shame that the jacuzzi was not working....

Jacuzzi and sauna were not in operation
The condition of the sauna has deteriorated.
Unfortunately, the hot tub was broken.

Good stay, but spa is closed
The hotel itself has a sauna.
Spa was out of outdoor.

There is a sauna.
Sauna is a plus.
Pleasantly large men's sauna

Very good spa
Spa not working
Sauna was unserviceable.

The sauna!

The parking spaces are way too small for large cars
Parking spaces are also very convenient and free to use.
Parking free if needed

Very useful private parking.
Ample parking space provided.
Parking was available

Parking for guests.
Parking access great.
Free parking

Convenient parking
