Guests most often praise Ascott Thonglor’s cleanliness, modern luxury, attentive service, excellent location, views, facilities, pool, gym, breakfast, and welcoming touches such as complimentary juice and refreshments. Several would return. Recurring criticisms are inconsistent cleaning and breakfast, limited attention to detail, an older feel in places, and value below comparable five-star hotels.

The stay was really wonderful.. the hotel is excellent and clean and met all my requests.. my stay included breakfast which was very excellent and there are two complimentary drinks for each guest in the room daily.. honestly, I classify the accommodation as luxurious 10/10 and I recommend it
In my opinion, Ascott Thonglor fully deserves all 5 stars and has one of the best value for money ratios I have ever experienced in a 5-star hotel.
To be greeted with a Refreshing drink on arrival was a brilliant precursor to the very pleasant stay I enjoyed at the hotel

The view from the panoramic window of the skyline is breathtaking and the window to the bathroom is a nice detail.
10 out of 10, a hotel where everything is wonderful: the view from the panoramic windows of the city.
I celebrated my 40th birthday in Bangkok and stayed at Ascott Thonglor — what an amazing experience!

A new modern hotel, an amazing room with panoramic windows and a view of the city.
I recently visited two Ascott hotels, one in Bangkok and the other in Kuala Lumpur.
If I had a reason to live in Bangkok, would just move in here.

Overall it was a brilliant stay and I would definitely stay here again.
Absolutely everything, great value for all you get but I’d like to highlight:
Also they have a baby sitting service they can arrange for you.

The management should consider adding another 'S' to the name Ascott.
It's ok for few days stay but without proper F&B service
It's perfect for one night with the buildings and the lights!

Nothing to say except that we had an excellent stay!!
Been here the 2nd time and will come back again.
This hotel is one of the best hotels in Bangkok.

Good location, but the hotel itself could be better.
I recommend it. A hotel with very nice amenities.
Good hotel, not optimal location for travel by car.

All what you expect from a 5 stars hotel.
The hotel is very beautiful and very clean.
Brilliant hotel, top standard with the best staff.

I can only recommend it again and again
2. Regarding the hot water in the bathroom, I noticed from other reviews that many mention issues with the water. In my 8-day, 7-night stay, it starts with very hot water, so you need to fill the bathtub first and then add cold water to adjust. After a while, the hot water becomes lukewarm, about the same temperature as body temperature, and you need to wait another 30 minutes for it to circulate again. I'm not sure if it's environmentally friendly, so I just had to adapt.
If you ever see this comment, just book it already , the best hotel ever , from the amenities, staff , food , location ,facilities, decoration , smells of the lobby , everything is just perfect !!!

What a fantastic property: from the cordial and exceptionally friendly staff, to the lovely makeup of your room for our anniversary, to the immaculate room and excellent Wifi, it was an excellent overnight stay.
No restaurant or room service but advertised as having but I was told it is opening soon but still not happy as I don’t want to have to leave the hotel for a dinner
The hotel is very pleasant, everything is great from the welcome to the room, including the very nice pool, as well as the quality of the breakfast and the size of the rooms.

Rooms: What guests say
View Ascott Thonglor Bangkok440 relevant reviews
Rooms are repeatedly described as spacious, modern, clean, comfortable, and well equipped, often with excellent high-floor city or sunrise views. Kitchens, refrigerators, and some in-room washers and dryers are useful. Recurring drawbacks include poor soundproofing, occasional housekeeping problems, cramped bathrooms, noisy or faulty air conditioning, and leaks from bidets, showers, or washing machines.

But the room smelled like cigarettes… We figured out at the end that it’s from the kitchen fan (someone who stayed in our room before probably smoked into the fan).
Very quite in the room except for the ac, but it didn’t bother us at all, even if normally we are very sensitive to the sounds.
Water tank capacity is only 40L in executive studio so there’s no way to enjoy a hot bath even a nice shower sometimes.

The bed is extremely comfortable, and the huge bathroom with a bathtub and shower is visible from the sleeping area through a window.
Love Ascott! Very clean, spacious rooms ours was an apartment although we booked a normal room, there was a washing machine.
On the day of arrival, since we were there well before check-in time, they upgraded us to a superior room.

Short and narrow beds (more suitable for Japanese); if you are over 1.80 m, sleep with your feet out
We stayed in a room with a kitchen and a washing machine, which was very convenient by the way.
We stayed in an executive studio and really appreciated the washing machine after traveling across the whole country.

Everything is great. I had reserved a well-organized and suitable executive studio that was clean. Honestly 😍❤️
Clean and cozy room with all amenities I want, love the complimentary snack, bed is comfortable.
It has everything you need for a short stay: small kitchenette, washing machine, a TV, fridge.

My son cut his leg on the interior in the room cause it was sharp.
Beautiful and extremely comfortable room, had everything i needed from a kitchen to washing machine.
The insulators are so weak that you can hear the noise from a high floor.

There is absolutely no power outlet in the bathroom for a razor, toothbrush, etc.
There was also a welcome vase with fruits and chips, 2 bottles of water.
I am just used to staying in properties with much better designed rooms.

Luxurious and comfortable room with a really nice bathroom and an astonishing view.
The bedding is comfortable, the bathroom is excellent, and the view is breathtaking.
We had a room on the 31st floor - so a wonderful view.

A small kitchenette as well as a washing machine were also available.
Rooms are brand new, kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need.
A stove, microwave, fridge and freezer, kettle, coffee machine, crockery and cutlery.

The toilet is smelly all the time when you open the cap
Fully stocked kitchen (besides the usual plates, cups and cutlery (which also include chopsticks, cutting knives, ladle and more) there are a can opener, wine bottle opener, 3 size bowls, frying pan, cooking pot, a toaster, kettle, coffee machine), comfortable bed, bath and shower stall, washer dryer, working area, bedside lamps that have a softer light.
I was given a room different from the reservation and we were not notified of this and after informing the reception about the mistake they asked us to wait until the next day in the next day after several attempts we were given the required room.

The small kitchen in the room is equipped with pots, bowls, plates, and various utensils, as well as a wash basin, allowing us to buy our favorite food during the trip and enjoy it slowly in the room.
BUT the washing machine in the third room also leaked water..... There is nothing wrong with the machines, it must be the drain that cannot handle the water and the machine spills it on the floor.
Beautiful room with everything you need - body cream, hand cream, lip balm, gel and shampoo with a wonderful citrus and herbal scent (only missing a hair conditioner), there is even an iron and ironing board

Staff: What guests say
View Ascott Thonglor Bangkok427 relevant reviews
Staff are overwhelmingly described as friendly, helpful, attentive, and responsive, with concierge and bell teams frequently praised. Guests highlight personalized birthday assistance, transport arrangements, luggage help, and excellent bartending. However, some found reception unpleasant or unhelpful, while isolated reports mention ignored requests, dishonest treatment, or staff feeling invisible or overly watchful.

Our stay at Hotel Ascot was marked by exceptional hospitality from Job, Bibi, Mith and Jay, who went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable throughout our visit.
A special thank you to Goki San for making our stay extra special - we promise not to forget you and look forward to returning back in 2024.
A special mention to Pete and Tong at the concierge desk for organising the taxi to take us to the railway and floating markets.

I like when the staff is attentive to your needs and almost invisible but I felt here the staff is completely invisible.
The front desk staffs are very slow and rude during check out and other times when I ask to get extra keys.
Job at the front desk provided exceptional service with a warm and professional attitude, making our stay even more enjoyable.

That might be because the hotel is too big and the staff cannot spend time paying attention to you.
The staff were not attentive and I had to call more than once to get the order through.
Most important is their service from front desk to house cleaning is 11 out of 10 rating.

I would like to mention that the concierges excell in their personable and authentic customer service.
I could feel that everyone is doing their best for the best service all the time.
A shout out to PuPae for the wonderful bed arrangements with flowers and swan towels.

The staff are polite and smiling all the time, friendly and welcoming to the guests
Staff are helpful, esp the on ground staff and housekeeping staff are really polite.
All staff are registered and ready to help, especially the receptionists and room cleaners.

The hotel staff was very good, the concierge gave us great food suggestions.
Friendly staff and very accommodating :) They even gave a surprise birthday cake!
Despite our late midnight arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the staff.

Very friendly staff that go out of way to provide good service.
Special mention to Bibi, Mina, KJ, jay, mith, pele and jack.
I asked them whether I needed to change rooms or not.

The bartender, Jay, provided excellent service service throughout my visit.
Staff here are friendly and ready to help whenever needed
Staff are young, motivated, always with a smile and greeting.

The front desk team was well trained and friendly.
1. When entering the hotel, the reception staff will actively help you with your luggage. During check-in, the front desk staff will invite you to sit in the lounge area to relax, and after completing the procedures, they will bring it to your side for you to sign, and during this time, service staff will serve you sour plum juice and hand towels.
On the fourth day, our reservation ran out, so we went downstairs in the morning to ask if we could stay in the room and extend it for a couple more days. In response, we were told yes, it's possible, we agreed that we would go upstairs, tidy ourselves up, and bring cash, to which the girl said yes, of course!!!!

The first time he said it was impossible, look for cash or other cards. I sat in the lobby for an hour after my 9 o'clock flight, thinking about how to pay for the hotel, since I expected all charges for accommodation to be automatically deducted from the card and I simply didn't bring any cash with me for that.
On our last day we were invited to a festival to thank the Goddess of Water - this was lovely as we were able to interact with other members of staff and felt we could be part of something that is so important to the culture of Thailand.
Upon entering the hotel, there will be a receptionist to help carry your luggage, and when checking in, the front desk staff will ask you to rest in the nearby sofa area while waiting, during which a service staff will bring refreshing drinks

Location: What guests say
View Ascott Thonglor Bangkok333 relevant reviews
Location is the strongest recurring advantage: the hotel is typically 3–7 minutes from Thong Lo BTS, surrounded by restaurants, cafés, bars, massage shops, street food, 7-Eleven, shopping, and rooftop venues. Some guests found major attractions farther away, and isolated reviews mentioned a noisy street or obstructed views.

Location is kinda outside the main shopping areas like CentralWorld and Asian Paragon but what makes this a fantastic place to stay is their wonderful staff (Job and Nina) who helped us with settle in very quickly.
The location is extremely well placed as it takes only five minutes to walk to the Thong Lor BTS station which few stations away from the major malls, with EmQuartier - Emporium only one station away.
The hotel's location is convenient, a 5min walk from Thong Lo BTS station and along the main road which is dotted with eateries and shops so it felt safe walking alone at night.

The temples and chinatown are all about an hour away on the BTS but it’s not as bad as it sounds as Bangkok is just really spread out.
If you don’t like taking a taxi, the train stops right in front of the door – it worked great and is very easy.
Con, if you’re always going to platinum mall, siam paragon or 4 face buddha, the bike ride would take around 17 mins.

The location is good and they offer a free shuttle that departures every hour to different places, is super convininet!
And most importantly, the view from the window is breathtaking; I watched the sunrise as if I were mesmerized.
Less than a 5 minute walk from two amazing and popular rooftop bars the Octave and Tichuca.

The location is perfect, and the hotel takes care of getting a taxi if you need one.
Location of the hotel was great, walking distance to sky train and many massage places nearby
The hotel provides a shuttle bus to the surrounding area every hour, which is very thoughtful.

Great location only 3 minute walk from Thonglor Lo metro and plenty of restaurants around.
The hotel is also also on a great location close to the skytrain station.
In the immediate neighborhood, we could visit 2 rooftop bars to unwind at night.

On the other side of the street there's a rooftop bar, highly recommended.
Unfortunately, the view from the pool is obstructed by the hotel in front.
I’d definitely recommend this hotel for a short stay, location is perfect.

But the skytrain station is very close and will often be faster.
The views on the 35th floor with all the sky scrappers
Nice & convenient, if you want to stay in Thong Lor

Great location and setting to end your Thai stay beautifully 🥰
1. It is a bit far from the BTS station.
Love the comfy bed and location near to BTS Station.

The location and the design of the whole facility
I really enjoyed everything about this hotel: its location,
Great place to explore the city and cultural places

Good location and the hotel has very high standards.
Location is quite central and strategic to our needs.
Its location is in a classy and safe neighborhood

Breakfast: What guests say
View Ascott Thonglor Bangkok262 relevant reviews
Breakfast reviews are mixed: many praise plentiful variety, fresh food, egg stations and Asian and European choices, while recurring complaints cite the undersized Japanese-restaurant venue, queues of 10–20 minutes, crowding and weak service. Quality is inconsistent, with limited Western, vegetarian, gluten-free and halal options, poor pastries, warm food and sugary juices.

The breakfast facility I know it's a separate business but packages are sold with breakfast so hotel should take some responsibility for it, it's too small for the number of customers I took a group of 4 in and we were seated separately hard to get service eg get tea or coffee delivered to table food was only average
Although the breakfast is good, considering the location and price level in Bangkok, I don't see much point in getting the hotel breakfast, as there are plenty of great places nearby where you can eat excellently for 800-1000 Baht.
I had read several critical reviews on the hotel breakfast about the limited range of food and shortage of seating spaces, but the hotel has taken this feedback seriously and made some improvements.

In this case, I think the hotel should limit the number of people who subscribe to breakfast, rather than pushing for sales on booking as was the case for me.
The breakfast area was small for a 41-story hotel, but there was space for everyone, and they quickly provided a table with no waiting 😄
I am very picky and have high expectations when it comes to hotel breakfasts but I was not disappointed at Ascott.

There was a good mix of local Thai dishes and international food; there were new options to pick from everyday.
Everything is great, but during breakfast they do not pay attention to bringing cheeses, especially for us as Arabs.
The Thai dishes do change every day while the regular bread, cereals, juices, fruits stay mostly same.

The breakfast offering could be improved - perhaps more variety of fresh fruit would be nice.
Breakfast is not included in the price, and if you still want it, it's 550 baht/person...
But we were provided information regarding the breakfast (time and place) and the fitness center.

There was a very good breakfast where the chefs could make whatever you wanted.
(As I stayed 5nights, a little tired of eating the same fruit every day.
The breakfast staff had bad manners, but the next day, another cheerful woman came.

When one comes to Thailand wants to have mangoes or jackfruit for breakfast.
The breakfast was, in our opinion, quite meager for such a high standard.
There is only one type of bread and otherwise exclusively Asian dishes.

Breakfast is diverse and of very good quality - always refreshed,
Breakfast slightly below the Ascott standard but still very good.
Breakfast delicious with big selection of sweet and savoury food.

First, the breakfast experience was terrible on the 11th floor.
Really tasty varied breakfast that is worth the money.
Their breakfast needs improvement as they are newly opened.

There were a wide variety of breakfast options.
Breakfast staff were indifferent and not so helpful/friendly.
Super breakfast at attached Japanese style restaurant

The breakfast buffet was sufficient and delicious.
The breakfast spread was a little disappointing.
Buffet breakfast had a good selection.

Pool: What guests say
View Ascott Thonglor Bangkok182 relevant reviews
The 11th-floor rooftop infinity pool is repeatedly praised for its striking city views, sunset atmosphere, cleanliness, spacious length, and relaxing design. Recurring drawbacks include cold water and extensive morning shade, only three sun loungers in direct sun, limited pool-bar service, and frequent influencer photography making swimming feel uncomfortable, especially for families.

There were too many people constantly taking pictures in the pool and by the pool which meant we could not swim as a family, we was always full of people just taking photos for social media it seems and it felt awkward swimming as you ended up photo bombing and just didn't feel like it was family friendly or even swimmer friendly
I can understand this rule and accept it but but there were other people taking selfies with the same glass water bottle for hours right in front of me and nothing was said.
The pool bar (2 free drinks for ASR members) is an excellent place to unwind after a busy day in Bangkok and after a quick dip in the pool.

The pool on the 11th floor is very beautiful, and if you sign up for the hotel program you get one complimentary drink per day per person.
The swimming pool. The pool itself is perfectly fine, but hordes of guests constantly come to take photos in the pool with the buildings in the background.
- Since our flight was late in the evening, a hassle-free extended stay by the pool and a shower before departure were worth their weight in gold.

It would certainly be nice if we could sunbathe by the pool during the day, but the neighboring buildings cast a shadow over it all morning.
Odd opening hours for the pool bar - may be useful to allow soft drinks to be served throughout day whilst the pool is open.
At 11:00 AM, one could enjoy the sun, but there are only three sun loungers in the sun at that time throughout the entire hotel.

The swimming pool, in addition to being perfect for relaxing after a long day, allows you to enjoy a beautiful view of Bangkok.
The only downside is that the water in the pool is a bit cold, although we swam in the evening.
Swimming pool is a great way to relax and enjoy the view on Bangkok skyscrapers at the same time.

There was a constant flow of young ladies posing in bikini and taking photos of each other.
The pool, which was just incredible on the 11th floor, made the place even more magical.
Didn’t spend much time at the pool or in the gym but it looked pretty good.

Watching the sunset from the infinity pool was definitely the highlight of my trip!
The swimming pool is stunning, and we spent a lot of time enjoying it.
Such a spacious and well designed pool a long with great city views.

Not great for “normal guest” and clearly hotel struggle enforcing its own policy.
On the 11th floor, there is a pool with a sunset view too.
The rooms and the pool have an amazing view for the city.

Even in open area like the pool area smoking is not allowed
Pool with a nice view and a lot of comfortable loungers.
The pool area is way too small and totally ugly.

The hotel is new and got a nice swimming pool.
Has a really good vibe in the pool area.
The pool, the view, the room, the location.

Very beautiful pool area on the 11th floor,
Gym and swimming pool area were immaculate.
The views from the pool are stunning

Facilities: What guests say
View Ascott Thonglor Bangkok169 relevant reviews
Facilities are frequently praised for their modern design, cleanliness, spacious rooms, well-equipped gym, attractive 11th-floor/infinity pool, lounge, and useful kitchen or laundry amenities. Repeated drawbacks include small lobby and breakfast/restaurant areas, limited mostly Japanese dining and room service, slow standard Wi-Fi or paid faster access, unstable bathroom water pressure, and limited children’s facilities.

There are weekly activities like working out classes, yoga, arts and crafts for kids, movies for kids (shown in the kid's room), movies for adults (shown near the pool, where you can also buy popcorn for 60 baht) at no charge, plus monthly activities like a cooking class, a trip to the planetarium, a trip to the flower market etc also at no charge (but here it's limited by numbers. you can still join if all the complimentary spots are taken, you'll just have to pay) and single activities like on international father's day (we had a mocktail making workshop at the lounge).
2. The water pressure in the bathroom is extremely unstable; the hot water for the bath turns cold before it even fills up, and you can only soak for about 3 minutes. I have already notified the front desk staff about it, and although it has been reported for repair, the situation remains the same. I only stayed for three days and didn't want to report it again on the last day.
8. The switches for all the lights are not easy to identify, and there are issues with poor contact; sometimes after pressing a switch, a light turns on for 3 minutes and then goes off, but after another 3 minutes, it lights up by itself.

The air con must have been connected to other rooms that were smoking as I woke up one of the days during my stay with a heavy smell of smoke all around.
There is a fine of 5000 baht in case of smoking any type of regular or electronic cigarettes, and even incense according to what they wrote when signing the contract.
First, there’s no socket for the hair dryer in the bathroom, so I had to dry my hair in the kitchen. Quite unusual, especially for the 5 star hotel.

From the design and aesthetic of the hotel, the spacious rooms, cleanliness of the entire place and the exceptional service and friendliness of the staff.
There is always a bad smell at the end of the lobby, it seems there is an issue with the sewage drainage..
The cleaning staff is too diligent. They even want to clean the room when we were still inside.

The breakfast area is small in size and capacity compared to the hotel, and breakfast options are limited..
I think it would be better to either replace the coffee maker or change the coffee beans.
On a high floor, you will hear the disco on the roof of the neighboring building

The boiler is not enough for the entire bath. need to wait until it heats up
Making customers pay for a faster Internet is not acceptable for a five star hotel.
Above the pool bar sat a simple sign directing guests to the lounge for orders.

The breakfast area is also on the 11th floor and is stylishly and comfortably furnished.
The toileteries provided were of very good quality, and replaced as I used them.
I like the comfort, cleanliness, and the staff here are really friendly and professional.

Flexibility with the time for the housekeeping staff, which is very appreciated.
Really nice gym and pool as well as amenities throughout the hotel.
The aesthetics, facilities, food and the cherry on top- Customer service.

6. The placement of laundry detergent is not easy to find.
Room service is truly a disaster, offering extremely limited options.
8. The entrance garden of the hotel is excellently designed.

This hotel has gone over and beyond my expectations.
There are plenty of outlets (including near the TV).
I love the modern design of the building.

Location, room (size, amenities, cleanliness, common facilities etc).
But there are no facilities or catering!!
Pool/lounge, gym and breakfast facilities were good.

Restaurant: What guests say
View Ascott Thonglor Bangkok63 relevant reviews
The hotel relies on one ground-floor Japanese restaurant rather than a dedicated, varied dining operation. Many guests praise its sushi, Japanese dishes, breakfast, and room-service quality, but others report terrible or subpar food, high prices, limited spicy/Japanese-only choices, unclear menus, cramped breakfast seating, and no late-night alternatives; service feedback is mixed.

The only downside was the food, yes it was delicious and tasty but did not cater to everyone, I’m not into spicy food and yet I had to eat spicy food everyday, this really affected me.
Restaurant and lobby ( it very cold ) it a no smoking policy !!!!! but not respected it smell cigarettes in our hallway !!! the should charge the fine .
And when I was at the pool I ordered some food (fish & chips and pizza) and it was absolutely not good for a 5 stars hotel.

We had a couple of dishes from the in-house Japanese restaurant (Kinki) brought up to the lounge bar and they were just perfect (if a bit pricey).
The “pool bar” is practically non existent as everytime we tried to order something from it they would tell us we needed to go inside to order
The only thing that could be improved is the lack of alternatives for food service if you don't want to leave the hotel on some days.

The menu was limited with mostly japanese items... charged us for bucket of ice and few pieces of lime (i guess nothing is free)
The property does not have a dedicated restaurant and depends on a Japanese restaurant on the ground floor to service the guests.
It does not have a range of restaurants and bars, just one, but there is so much close by it’s just fine.

That there were no Food and Drinks that could be purchased at the facility. No restaurant, bar or mini bar
Akthough we did not eat at the Japanese restaurant on premises, the room service food from it was delicious.
The restaurant setup , too small to cater for numbers of guests fo breakfast variety wasn't that great.

The kinki restaurant has great food too and very good that you can order it to your room
Some of the staff were rude at the restaurant and we experienced racism as a result of it.
Location of the restaurant/breakfast. A very small space where you occasionally had to wait for a free table.

Only place you can ear is at the first floor Japanese restaurant, but barely no one goes there.
If you buy a package including breakfast you expect hotel to have some control over this facility.
It seems the hotel outsourced it's restaurant and the staff there didn't care much about hotel guests.

We were offered 2 complimentary drinks at their own restaurant but ... the restaurant was close so.
There is a great cafe called Dark nearby for breakfast and it has many types of coffee
The Japanese restaurant on the ground floor, which provides breakfast for the hotel, was extremely disappointing.

Restaurant and roof top etc. additional is nothing but lobby is very good than merriot.
The restaurant will open later we understood, but its good to know this.
Complained to hotel management but they said restaraunt separate and independent business.

The food in the restaurant was very much tailored to Japanese tastes.
Having a proper restaurant on site would be really helpful.
The restaurant was also very high quality and tasted delicious.

The restaurant can be a bit bigger for breakfast.
The menu only has Thai and Japanese names.
Lack of any acceptable restaurant

Check-in / Check-out: What guests say
View Ascott Thonglor Bangkok53 relevant reviews
Check-in and check-out are usually fast, smooth, and handled by friendly, professional staff, often with welcome drinks and comfortable waiting service. Early check-in is sometimes generously granted, but fees can be high or policies unclear. Recurring negatives include rooms not being ready, crowded lobby queues, occasional miscommunication, and delayed luggage handling.

1. When entering the hotel, the reception staff will actively help you with your luggage. During check-in, the front desk staff will invite you to sit in the lounge area to relax, and after completing the procedures, they will bring it to your side for you to sign, and during this time, service staff will serve you sour plum juice and hand towels.
The delay in the check-in process and not giving us adjacent rooms that connect to each other despite making the reservation nearly two weeks ago, and the rooms were not ready which delayed our check-in, and we were also delayed during the check-out process and in getting our bags down.
Encountered a service lapse with bag handling on the day of my check-in: I arrived before check-in time and my room was not ready so the staff took my bag for storage and I was handed a bag tag.

I Know This Is policy that it wasn't allowed to check in but ther is the lovely staff Mickey and Nod help me to check in at least I need to go police station and provide the report.
The person at the reception woke me up at 11:50 a.m. for check-out when I had told her the day before that I would stay for the rest of my stay.
When checking in, the front desk staff will ask you to rest in the nearby sofa area while waiting, during which a service staff will bring refreshing drinks

According to the front desk, there was some kind of miscommunication about checkout in another room and that resulted in staff going to the wrong room (my room).
She called me three times about this when she could have, out of consideration for my state, let me rest until 2 or 3 p.m.
In fact, i do not understand that there is no outlet in the bathroom !!!!! Not even hidden, none, not at the location near mirror.

The only thing I complain about is the price of the room when you have an early arrival due to the early morning flight
Having to pay for early check-in, but I understand that offering it for free is a practice that only a few hotels have.
Usually hotels let the customers know upfront that this is happening. While ascott didnt inform us before but rather they did at arrival!

We arrived early at 8 AM, expecting to wait for check-in, but the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us right away.
Would have been good to know on day one. So a positive really but just need to know about it on checking in!
One staff asked me to pay at check-in, told me my credit card was not working, and then I gave her another card.

The lobby was small, and during check-in and check-out, there was no place to sit when it was crowded with group guests.
Check in: was a breeze. Very helpful staff. The whole hotel is a smoke free zone, which was music to my ears!
When I returned at 4pm, I collected my room key and handed the bag tag to the staff to retrieve my bag.

We reached the hotel at 7 am but early check in wasn’t provided until 10 am even though the room was ready.
This is our second time here, the only thing is that they could be a bit more attentive when checking in.
Elevators never took long and the lobby and entrance areas with lots of trees are an immediate oasis off of Sukhumvit.

I arrived at 3 a.m. after a 15-hour flight with delays and 2 hours of waiting at the border police.
Thank you to Nina, Boot and Kate for allowing me to check in early after a long flight.
I was in my room after a long day in less than 90 minutes after landing.

They even sent us a link via SMS so that we could track the ride.
The staff checked us in efficiently whilst we sat comfortably sipping a welcoming drink.
The front desk quickly found an upgraded room for us so that resolved everything.

The hotel arranged for a ride that brought our smartphone to the airport.
Got the room before the official check in time.
Nice hotel spoilt by poor check in staff

Gym: What guests say
View Ascott Thonglor Bangkok37 relevant reviews
The gym is generally clean, well-maintained, comfortable, and adequately equipped, with several guests praising city views and temperature control. However, repeated criticism describes it as small for the hotel’s size, with limited equipment. One guest reported the gym had temporarily moved to the garage during their stay.

- No matter where you looked, everything was well-kept and clean and felt high quality, whether it was the gym equipment or the door handles, fittings, etc.
Gym is a little small for such a big property if you are looking to hit the hotel gym.
The gym could have more equipment. Maybe an additional bench, a bar for squats, bench press etc.

Pool, fitness center and lounge on the 11th floor are easy to access and nicely equipped.
Didn’t spend much time at the pool or in the gym but it looked pretty good.
The lobby was a little cramped if there are just a few guests checking in/out.

Maybe the gym could have been a little better but still more than good enough
Great location only 3 minute walk from Thonglor Lo metro and plenty of restaurants around.
We also loved the gym; it was well-maintained and had everything we needed.

Aircon throughout the hotel and especially the gym was a perfect temperature.
The gym was small and didn't have many options, which was disappointing.
Big Gym with an amazing view and many machines for good workout!

The gym had magnificent views of the city, making workouts more enjoyable.
Really nice gym and pool as well as amenities throughout the hotel.
The pool, gym, and amenities in the room were very good.

The gym had to move to the garage during our stay.
The gym is quite small considering size of the hotel.
The gym is great even though it's a bit small.

The gym and pool are sufficient for a chill holiday.
Beautiful room and magnificent common facilities (swimming pool and gym).
In the gym you will find everything you need.

Gym and swimming pool area were immaculate.
Pool/lounge, gym and breakfast facilities were good.
And the fitness center is small.

Gym was ok for hotel gym.
The reason is unknown to me.
Most hotels have small gyms.

Breakfast and gym were great.
Basic but decent fitness Center.
We liked gym.

The hotel is highly convenient for city travel: BTS and MRT access is about five minutes away or nearby, with free shuttles to stations, malls, supermarkets, and other locations. Airport transfers were sometimes well organized, but no airport shuttle was provided for some guests. Taxi pickups can be confusing because of the rear drop-off point and inaccurate map location.

Train station that is a 5 minute walk, free shuttle service that runs for most of the day and goes to all the important places (supermarket, mall etc).
The hotel also provides a shuttle service, but if you prefer, it’s just a short walk to Thong Lor BTS station, making it incredibly convenient for getting around.
Drop off point was at the back of the building, often causing confusion to drivers who couldnt find the right point for pick up.

As with most hotels the main attractions involve a train, tuk tuk or taxi which were all accessible.
Taxis mostly don't know about it even though it's on the main street and adjacent to the Marriott
It is difficult for taxi drivers to reach due to the inaccuracy of the location on the maps..

I wanted a car to pick me up at the airport as I was arriving in late.
As soon as I arrived it was presented to me and delivered up to my room.
Metro directly at the hotel, many restaurants nearby, but heavily influenced by Japanese and Korean cuisine

Free shuttle to bts station was a bonus and make our travelling around bangkok easier.
Easy to get anywhere in the city using BTS as station was just outside.
If not, Grab app was easy to use with plenty of drivers nearby.

There's free drop off shuttle to nearby locations by the hotel as well.
The Air train runs 5 minutes on foot, so it's very convenient.
I ordered some things online and put the hotel address.

The MRT station is easily accessible from the hotel.
Very close to the BTS and convenient for travel.
Near BTS Station, so you can move around easily.

Shuttle service to the airport was not provided.
BTS metro station next to the hotel.
Transfer were well organized to airport.

Offers shuttle to nearby malls.
5 min to metro rail
Easy transfer from airport

I was expecting that from a 5 star hotel in Bangkok.
The in house massage was excellent and would recommend that too.
I reserved a room massage service, and the masseuse named Koi.

Finally I missed the inhouse spa option for a massage.
The swimming pool was as great as always.
Sauna for men and steam room for ladies.

Could have a bit more wellness elements
Lack of a jacuzzi, sauna
Tight sauna
