Banyan Tree Bangkok Reviews: Everything Guests Say

We examined 2,754 guest reviews of Banyan Tree Bangkok, finding specific, relevant feedback in 1,091 of them. The feedback has been organised by topic to give you an easy way to see what guests say about different aspects of the property.
Of the reviews analysed, 1,663 were excluded because they contained little or no specific feedback relevant to the detailed analysis.

We booked the Banyan Tree in Bangkok for our 3 night stay when in city on route to a further 11 night stay at a sister hotel in Phuket, before returning for one night before we fly home next week.
The Sky Bar was beautiful and with our room we received free food and drink at the Club Lounge in the afternoons which made us feel really special!
Upon arrival, we were greeted with welcome drinks and snacks, and the daily live music in the lobby added a charming touch to the atmosphere.

The hotel is well-known and has a great deal of foot traffic. However, the hardware and software facilities are in urgent need of updating.
I had been there years ago and it still gave me the impression of a high-quality establishment, although slightly less well-maintained.
Large Hotel with all of the amenities - we enjoyed the larger rooms and washrooms and found service was good.

It’s our second visit to Banyan Tree the first 10 years ago and must say it’s just as good.
The pictures make the hotel look beautiful, plus as it’s a Banyan tree property I had high expectations.
Despite very clean and well maintained, hotel is getting in its years however without loosing its unique charme.

True 5 star hotel where the guest experience is the most important aspect of what they do.
We’ve been traveling more this time staying in 5star hotels and this rates among the best.
By now, you can see from the style that the hotel is already several years old.

The atmosphere carries a sense of timeless elegance that makes the entire stay feel special.
This is a first time stayed at Banyan Tree Bangkok for my friend birthday celebration
We wanted a top class hotel in Bangkok and we got our wish plus more

A very good location in Bangkok for areas such as Central World and Erawan.
Complimentary drinks for the kids is a great way to make them feel welcome!
Overall we were really happy with our stay and cant wait till return again.

Class hotel and service, good location and accessibility, for short and long stays
So Yes we had a great time in Kyoto in this hotel !
I was really looking forward to the rooftop which was kind of disappointing.

Can I just say what an absolutely luxurious fabulous hotel this is.
Classic old school luxury hotel in a lovely quiet part of Bangkok.
All the other "5-star" hotels were so far away from this hotel.

Facilities are the top you can find in Bangkok and not only.
I'll give you two more examples...my partner's cooking class was on the Tuesday...I arrived on the Thursday (overnight from Melbourne), dinner Thursday night (in-room) was going to be what she had cooked on the Tuesday....no, we (kitchen) think it might be a little 'stale', we will cook another Pad Thai....(fresh) and send this instead....amazing
So neither of us are neophytes to either Thailand or BKK, but COVID put a massive dent in our regularity to Thailand, I was a little worried that my partner (Female) would be 'overlooked', in the hustle and bustle of a big hotel.....

It's difficult to put into words how perfect our initial 3 night stay was (expectations now extremely high for our return for a night), from pick up at the airport by their staff and the limo drive from airport to hotel.
Clearly this was once one of the best hotels in Bangkok and now needs a bit of investment tho feel that was reflected in the price as value for location and room is outstanding to rest of the city.
As part of the deal with luxury escapes the package deal we had was amazing with it including free high tea cocktails and canapes for 3 hours and guaranteed access to the 61st floor roof top Moon Bar.

All the staff we encountered from transfers from/to airport, Club Lounge check in and throughout our stay, Spa, Vertigo Too, Saffron Skybar, guest services (house keeping, laundry etc) were all very friendly and attentive.
After contacting reception, I was informed that these works were indeed planned, that they would continue until around 5 PM, and that a room change could be arranged… in the afternoon.
Great service like that makes a huge difference — and honestly, it’s one of the big reasons I’d happily stay at Banyan Tree again next time I’m in town.

A receptionist spoke to me in a rude and dismissive manner when I asked about and the concierge was unhelpful and raised their voice during our conversation.
I brought these concerns to the attention of reception, but unfortunately, the response was not satisfactory and the issues were not fully resolved during my stay.
Visit at roof top bar is troublesome: staff can not manage the many visitors, and finally arrived at top you wait ages for a drink

Our waiter Benz went out of his way to find us a great high table and took a wonderful photo to remember the evening.
Hotel staff apologized and said they checked the laundry area, but no real follow-up or compensation was offered – just a simple “sorry”.
I wanted to give special thanks to Wendy, the hotel manager, who went above and beyond to make my visit truly memorable.

Last but not least, Mr Terry, the duty manager, was extremely helpful in my room regarding a problem with the deposit box.
Excellent service!!! You will get best take care by Manager K. Ann and staff K.Film & K. Tai super pay attention.
We were immediately taken up to the club level and what a warm and sincere greeting we received from their staff.

From the moment we stepped on board, we were greeted with warm smiles, utmost care and highest level of professionalism.
The staff at the hotel are very attentive, always looking to support you and ensure you have a wonderful stay.
A special thanks goes to Mr. Police, who made our stay unforgettable with his professionalism, helpfulness and warm manner.

They made everything so easy and comfortable for us, which really added to the good vibes of the place.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Jack Fah for making our cruise experience so special.
Special shout out to Amy, she was very kind and welcoming on our arrival and throughout our stay.

Korn and Mew gave excellent service, kind, polite and friendly, which is proving the standard across the hotel!
They made up an extra bed for our son and provided him with his own robe and slippers.
All the staff were very nice and supportive, Hill, Job, and Mile took great care of us.

Also wanted to say how great Mr fame was as the concierge, his so attentive and helpful.
In particular, Chef Kwan! He made us some excellent vegetarian dishes which catered to our needs perfectly!
Very friendly and helpful staff; concierge helped us plan and arrange various tours and transfers in advance.

An exceptional welcoming and caring team of staff, who aim to satisfy to the smallest detail.
James! I finally failed to bring those products back to Japan... At the airport my only option was to check them in at about 100 times their actual cost, so I just gave them to a local worker. However, I want to stress that the memory from that experience is not the failure but your enthusiastic help and effort. Thank you!
Phenomenal experience with Banyan Tree - the service was amazing (especially Annie Park as she went above and beyond - Annie recognised we were unhappy from another hotel and she made sure our stay at banyan tree was comfortable and enjoyable) from arrival to departure.

The staff were exceptional, we had a dedicated Front Office representative, who welcomed us from our car and looked after us throughout check in, until we were ready to go to our room (after visiting the Club first!).
My wife and I would like to express our sincere gratitude to the entire team of the hotel, the organizers of the excursions we booked, and especially to PIM for everything we received during our stay.
The following day, before our trip to the Wat Phra Kaew temple, a wonderfully friendly front office staff member approached us while we were waiting for our ride and offered us some refreshing canned water.

Even though it was spacious and had a great view we felt our room looked a bit tired and could use a refit, particularly the carpets which, disappointingly, had a number of very bad stains.
It was also great for the ladies as we could do some shorter tours and then they could relax in the room or in the club room afterwards.
The room was spacious and clean, and had a fragrance burner and incense which we could use to make the room smell like a spa!

Additionally, the bathroom is located right next to the bedroom, which is so poorly insulated that it leaves the partner with no details hidden.
Overall the hotel feels a bit dated, but this is totally compensated for by an exceptional welcoming and caring team of staff.
The suite itself was spacious, with large bathrooms and extremely comfortable mattresses, aligning with the expected standards of a five-star hotel.

The bed was wonderfully comfortable and the lounge area comfortable with a proper sized desk if you wish to work.
The room we were assigned was not a one bedroom suite it was just a single room of about 45sqm.
Speaking of master bathroom, the shower cubicle doubled up as a steam room (controls were near the bathroom entrance)!

Our room wasn’t cleaned and made up one day however the staff were very apologetic and corrected it immediately.
No hand towels or amenity kit placed in bathroom upon arrival - again had to call to ask.
Since my last visit almost 10 years ago, the rooms have not been kept up to standard.

The room was big and came with a huge bathroom, the size of the actual bedroom.
Great stay with the family in a two room suite which comes with complementary lounge access.
No housekeeping for 2 nights that I stayed in the hotel, no one cleaned the room.

The most serious issue was the disappearance of my Apple AirPods Pro from the room.
The view wasn’t particularly impressive, but the room size definitely made up for it.
It was like water fall leaking from the roof and carpet got wet too.

Felt it was dangerous and room was very loud due to the thin glass.
Our bed was rediculously soft we both got back ache climbing out of it.
No USB charging options in the room, everything through a power outlet instead.

Bed is amazing, if you like a softer side bed with fluffy pillows.
The comfort of the bedding and the little touches with the flower necklaces...
There is no way to charge phones, a tablet, and a laptop!

I stayed 5 nights Feb 10-15 in room 2307 with club facility.
I need to change room twice because the room type that I booked were not available and the second room they trying to 'upgrade' but lights are not working and the windows are blocked by a huge piece of panel with no view at all.
We booked the Horizon room and looked at a building about 30m away. When we asked to change rooms, requesting a view of the Bangkok skyline, they first offered us a room above the opposite building, but it had no view of the city 👎🏻

Upgraded to an executive suite, an ultimate experience of luxury; the room facilities, services, and cleanliness are impeccable and flawless, with special praise for the housekeeping being extremely attentive and meticulous, adjusting and customizing daily according to guests' habits.
While we appreciated the offer, and it was very large room with a seperate living area and extra large bath, we asked for the Panorama Club Room booked preferring the views of the city and park.
The plumbing was noisy when people flushed toilets from above, they forgot to clean our room one day, the tv did not work properly which was frustrating (then we learned we were missing a controller).

And when I decided, last minute on a Saturday night, to join the hotel’s Saffron Dinner Cruise, the guest relations team still managed to secure a spot for the two of us despite it being fully booked.
So much choice - each was good quality - not just quantity - with great juices and smoothies, hot and cold options from around the world and a fantastic noodle bar.
Very nice atmosphere, the restaurant was very busy, but was not noisy the service was very good and we did not have to wait long for our food.

We tried the hotel's restaurants and they were all wonderful, delicious food and amazing cocktails at the rooftop bar with the most beautiful view!!!!
Dinner at Vertigo was exceptional even though the prices are more in line with Western prices (€420 for two with wine and cocktails).
I also treated myself to a dim sum buffet at the Chinese restaurant on level 59, which was delicious and good value.

Very good experience at the Saffron Grill restaurant : good quality, reasonable and excellent service by Ms. Kung, thank you 🙏🏻
Had dinner in vertigo, it was little more £££ but worth every penny and food portions were big and beautiful cocktails.
The rooftop bar is probably one of the best in the entire Asian region and is highly recommended without reservation.

We purchased Come 2 Pay 1 for package on a Thursday, which is very reasonable and worth the price.
The Thai food we had at the Saffron restaurant on the 52nd floor was delicious, would highly recommend it.
Thanks to Aor, Kung and Folk for assisting and accommodating us they are the sweetest in the planet.

The restaurant on the roof is nice but we believe it's not worth the price of the dishes.
Rooftop bars are lovely - make sure you visit. The slightly lower one is the better one.
We had a blast at Vertigo, the Location, the food the service, everything was above the top!!!

The menu features international and fusion cuisine, with well-balanced flavors, high-quality ingredients, and beautifully presented dishes.
When it rains, you can neither get something to eat nor can you drink something anywhere.
Went to the Saffron grill at the banyann tree in Bangkok tastefully decorated relaxing atmosphere.

The food is exquisite; if you’re staying at the Banyon Tree hotel, I’d strongly recommend!
Food and hospitality was over the roof with excitement waiting across the short voyage.
A true dinning extravaganza!! I’m from California and this was an absolute must dine!

The rooftop bar/restaurant (Vertigo) was exceptional, the views are stunning and drinks were delicious.
The service overall was great, and Jack really made our dining experience enjoyable.
What a wonderful dinner set experience with Saffron Cruise Dinner by Banyan Tree.

We enjoyed breakfast with a view of the garden and the fish pond.
Went to the restaurant on the 61st floor and I’m sorry to say what a waste of money ordered the lamb and got fat when asked about the meal pointed out that if I wanted fat I would have ordered fat, nothing done about it, will not be doing that again and will be telling friends also.
THE FACT THAT I BOOKED THIS HOTEL SO I COULD DINE AT THE RESTAURANT ON THE TOP FLOOR OVERLOOKING THE CITY AND THEY COULDN’T SEAT ME BECAUSE APPARENTLY YOU NEED TO MAKE RESERVATIONS WEEKS IF NOT MONTHS AHEAD OF TIME!! HOW IS THIS FAIR TO YOUR PAYING GUESTS STAYING AT THE HOTEL?

Both the restaurant on the rooftop, which offers a phenomenal view over Bangkok and where one can enjoy the sunset better than anywhere else, as well as the emerging lights at night and the fantastic massages always excite us.
20 minute plus waiting time for hot drinks, staff running around with hot fresh cooked food only to find customers had left due to the long waiting times and the restaurant was only half full!
The food and drinks are wonderful, the staff are attentive, but what is most special is the view once the sun has set and the city lights create a fabulous view to get lost in!

While we didn't time the walk, the MRT was at the end of the road (approx. a couple of blocks away - around a 10 or so minute walk) the BTS was also just a few blocks away, which made it easy to get around to different places.
If you dream of waiting for one of the 4 elevators for at least 5 minutes every time you want to go up or down, all to find yourself stuck in the middle of groups of drunk Americans from morning until evening, then this hotel is for you...
The first, I believe it is newer it was very quiet and in the second you have a food hall with Michelin stars restaurants, we did not eat in any so I cannot comment on those, it was a busier shopping centre than One Bangkok.

The location is in the middle of quite a bit of construction and traffic, walk to the closest shops or train station is at least 15 mins away and 15 mins is a long time in Bangkok heat and humidity.
Outside the hotel is pretty busy so just be aware that you cannot always get taxis quickly and traffic is really bad at peak times so walk to the metro and use that instead.
It’s in the very smart area of Sathon just east of city centre but getting in in taxis/tuktuks/metro all very easy, just allow enough time in rush hour.

It stopped in front of What Arun with plenty of time for pics and the crew even took pics of us in front of beautiful landmarks.
It was in a great position for lumpini park, and also a nearby excellent night market and food markets, which seem to have now moved.
Sathon can get extremely busy with traffic which can lead to large delays (it once took me 45mins for a 2.5km journey).

The location is not very suitable for sightseeing in Bangkok. The attractions are in the old town, but quite far away.
The location was all far away, we needed a taxi and there's a lot of traffic on the road.
You need to take a taxi or bolt always just to get in and out of the hotel.

Good location, the best breakfast (we stayed in a total of 6 different hotels on our trip).
The rooftop bar had an open location where the night view of Bangkok could be seen.
The location is great easy to go by walk and the neighborhood is magic !

You could walk to a park or shopping center or any other tourist attractions.
Go to the Grand China building for an equal view and less overpriced cocktail.
Little bit of a walk to the metro in the heat but doable.

The street where the hotel is located is very busy and lacks restaurants.
The hotel is located in a busy area in terms of traffic.
Such a wonderful experience with superb view of the city 360⁰.

Ideal location, the center is reachable on foot within 15-20 minutes.
Excellent location near Central Park, Lumpini Park, and metro/BTS stations.
Don't come here on vacation because its the financial district.

There isn’t much around the hotel no bars, restaurants etc.
Sanctuary from the chaos and heat that is Bangkok
The location is a bit of a miss.

What a beautiful hotel in a perfect location.
The view up there is very nice.
The staff, the location, all in all

I did not like the breakfast, good range of things to eat but all was a little cold, also when ordering eggs found I finished what I was eating before the eggs arrived and again when they did I was already full, would be nice to have everything arrive on time and Hot.
Pim in the Executive Lounge...."there will be a breakfast bag for both of you at reception in the morning when you leave @ 0400" , there was, hot coffee, sandwiches and fruit & croissant, no charge...just part of the service...that really stunned me
While still enjoyable, the rotating daily highlights we once loved – such as Eggs Benedict with truffle, giant strawberry croissants filled with fresh cream and berries, or the dedicated sushi station – were no longer offered during our stay.

Only complaint would be that only one person making the coffee to order on arrival and most days due to numbers coffee was arriving after we had finished breakfast and just about ready to leave.
Club access is well worth it, with afternoon tea served daily and canapés and drinks in the early evening, plus a great breakfast option.
We ordered 2 omelettes they took 30mins as we had to go and remind the chef who had forgotten our order.

There's not enough tables for breakfast at B floor (9am), but it's not too bad that I have 19th floor.
Food was mostly cold and we had to ask for it to be warmed before we ate it.
The breakfast is amazing with a vast variety to cater for all tastes from Western to Thai.

If possible, book with the Serenity Club. There is delicious food and drinks available for free.
The breakfast at this hotel is also quite good, with a decent variety of food.
The breakfast buffet was outstanding with many options for coffee, juice, meats, and breads.

There was honestly something for everyone, and I left very full both mornings.
Fantastic breakfast! (based on the Horizon room. Separate breakfast on the 19th floor)
We had a breakfast, snack and afternoon drinks included in the price.

Breakfast with a queue, as there are far too few seats.
However, this room has a classic seminar ambiance and lacks atmosphere.
The egg station and bakery at the breakfast was good.

We stayed during Christmas and opted for the brunch.
The breakfast is the best I have ever had.
Private lounge access for breakfast and afternoon tea

The breakfast is somewhat sparse for such accommodation.
They left our table with dirty plates.
The buffet breakfast is amazing, excellent value.

Amazing breakfast and a lot of options.
Food options for breakfast was also great.
Food was reasonable and had variety.

The breakfast is to die for.
Breakfast was very good and plentiful,
The breakfast selection is amazing.

4) Should make an effort to first check whether guests prefer for the incense to be lighted in the room in the evening/night during check-in time; as some guests may have sensitivity about such scent and do not want incense to be put on. Housekeeping should not take it for granted to come into the room to light the incense in the absence of guests. Not very respectful in this manner as this is considered as an additional activity/entry from the usual cleaning up of room.
1) Wifi was not stable and connection was poor quite often, which is surprising for such a high end hotel. Wifi strength should be steady and strong as hotel guests need it to stay in touch for business communications/purposes and/or family members. We have stayed at other hotels that have better wifi connection.
We had the opportunity on booking to pay more to receive Club lounge access which provided free coffee and teas, drinks and food at certain times of the day plus laundry once a day, which was well worth paying the extra money.

...afternoon tea (for around 3 hours), and canapes/happy hour (2 or so hours in the late afternoon/evening includes cocktail options as well as other beverages) and drinks available in the lounge all day until 8pm.
We went up to the 59th floor and were immediately turned away and sent to the bar (which is very nice) on the 52nd floor?
We really wanted to go to the hotel's rooftop bar in the evening, but it was closed that evening due to the bad weather.

Club lounge access - def worth the extra money if you have hungry teenagers - afternoon tea 1-4 and cocktails and canapés 5-7
Late check-out only until 1 PM, but at least we could still use the gym, pool, and sauna until the evening.
The property also features a must visit roof top bar and restaurant, which we indulged in every night of our stay.

We had the pleasure of having access to the lounge on level 19 and the quality of service was phenomenal.
We used the spa facilities and I could have had a treatment every single day we were there.
The food choice was limited and not much choice for non-drinkers apart from juice or fizzy sodas.

And what can I say about the rooftop except that it must be experienced for oneself..
Floor 19 was where we had afternoon tea and happy hour in the evening.
Live music in the foyer, a pond full of koi, a great pool....all fabulous.

I also enjoyed having access to the steam room, sauna, and shower facilities.
They could do a better job prioritizing hotel guests for the rooftop bar.
The hotel was top of the line clean, beautiful and nice pool/facilities.

Everything felt smooth and well taken care of throughout the stay.
If you can go once in your lifetime , you should.
Hope the classes continue because it's unique to this hotel.

View from the terrace on the top floor is magnificent.
Property is quite aged and so are the facilities.
Starting to look a little tired round the edges.

The rooftop terrace and the food were really great!
Service in the rooftop bar was very slow.
Every area was clean and oozes quality.

Rooftop bar has great views across Bangkok.
Absolutely worth seeing rooftop bar: Moon Bar!
The hairdryer was not working properly.

The pool has a very nice view but the water is freezing cold and for a cloudy day with not much sun, arriving tired from visiting temples makes you want to get in the pool, but we couldn't because of the cold water.
We spent a much needed lazy day by the outdoor pool on 1st January where the lovely Kavin and the rest of the health and wellbeing team were constantly on hand to ensure a relaxing day.
As we expected the pool was a little chilly due to little sunlight hitting it, but it was a wonderful escape from a busy city and we enjoyed some afternoon sun whilst we relaxed.

The pool could be open a bit longer. Often we couldn't make it back to the hotel before 8 PM and would have liked to relax for another 1-2 hours.
The pool was under renovation for 2 days of our stay, we couldn’t enjoy it but we did on the last day, a bit small considering the number of rooms.
Also, at this cost, we would have expected that the swimming pool would have been heated - we could not swim for long as the water was too cold.

The pool was a bit cold, the food at Vertigo is good but not TOP or a gourmet restaurant - but definitely worth a visit for the view..
The building blocks out any sun to the swimming pool and the water is freezing cold therefore not really useable by children or adults to be honest.
A small detail that fell short was that the hotel's pool was under renovation and inaccessible, but it did not affect the overall concept of the hotel.

We were very disappointed when we checked in and were already in the room to hear that the pool would be under renovation starting that day.
The pool area isn't the biggest and open air on the 21st floor but the day we visited we still got a sun bed each.
Pool area is smaller than we expected but to be honest was out doing trips most of the day so not a major issue.

Not a huge pool being the location that it is, but enough for a relaxing cooldown in the city heat.
The gym and pool are both excellent and the pool has the most comfortable beds to recline on.
Pool area was permanently in the shade with very limited seating which was simply not good enough!!!

The pool for the hotel this size was very small, and not up to the mark.
The pool is of little interest even though the service provided is of high quality.
The bar was well-stocked with premium drinks and the atmosphere was relaxed and sophisticated.

Pool is on wrong side of building :) only gets sun from 1-3pm.
Rooftop pool is a little small considering the size of the hotel
Pigeons and lack of available staff for drinks orders by the pool.

Should of emailed guests to notify, would of been good .
Only one pool which is outdoors and it was cold.
We like to sunbathe and couldn’t, due to this.

The pool area was smaller than the photos suggest.
Pool is quite cold as it stays in shade.
Pool, Moonbar (however, way too crowded with self-promoters)

Excellent outdoor pool with views across the city.
Had a nice time at the pool
Pool was nice but in the shade

It took a lot of time to check in; initially, the hotel couldn't find the reservation information for half an hour. After completing the check-in, it took over an hour, and at two in the afternoon, we still couldn't enter the room because it had not yet been cleaned properly.
At check in you guarantee a deposit by credit card, and you are charged, in Thai baht which is converted into your currency; two weeks later you get the amount back, at the then current exchange rate; thus customer looses exchange rate changes plus difference buy/sale;
To be fair we weren't standing in a queue, which clearly the process of sitting in the lobby and being 'served' was intended to prevent and we did get the aforementioned complimentary room upgrade, so it would be unfair to be too critical.

I do not say with the receptionists should know everything but they when they see the initials of the airport should see said, sir should go to this airport and advise better, it is no longer the money,
Because today I have suffered that, they are no longer the 2000 bhat, they have been belongings that have stayed in the They didn't get into the car and I noticed when I got to the other airport.
Wawa welcomed us by phone call during our transfer from the airport , greeted us on arrival and assisted us with check in at the Club Lounge was able to quickly arrange this for us.

Not only were we transported in style with the hotel’s private bus to the airport, but when we arrived, we were immediately welcomed by hotel staff at the airport who took our bags to check-in.
I went up at 11.30 to ask if room ready and was checked in however it was evident that room had been ready for sometime even though reception had said they would email us/inform us.
During the check-in process, we had to wait a long time in the lobby, even though we knew that check-in for executive rooms actually takes place in the lounge on the 19th floor.

We had arrived at about 1.15pm, so a bit early for 2pm check-in, but nonetheless the process was slow, with staff going back and forth from the reception desk to several customers checking-in.
After we checked out of the hotel, we were able to use the showers in the afternoon, as our flight was not until the evening and we still wanted to explore the city.
On the first day at this hotel, check-in was very slow, taking 15 minutes, and there was only one welcome drink even though they knew I was arriving with 2 persons.

Check-in was slow (about 20 minutes), although to be fair we were shown to a seating area in the lobby, given a welcome soft drink and pumpkin crisps.
We weren’t flying until the evening and we were allowed back into the hotel after a hot day out to shower, lunch and collect our bags.
It still took 20 mins to process and we were shattered so that was unexpectedly inefficient whilst seemingly hundreds of staff were milling around.

The reception boys did not know well to advise us on what our airport was and we have taken the wrong airport,
We were told we could have a room as soon as one available and sat in reception for over 2 hours.
Escorted to the 19th floor by the helpful and personable Lux to complete the check-in process with Wawa.

For example we have paid a nominal fee at other hotels to have a 6pm checkout.
Check-in took about 30 minutes and the luggage arrived in the room after almost 60 minutes.
We had some lunch and came back to find the room was still not ready.

Because we flew for many hours, we were tired and wanted to rest quickly
From the check-in to our check-out they have been always welcoming and friendly.
From check-in to concierge to F&B to spa treatment and curated activities.

Which caused a delay in checking out and heading to the airport.
However, there was one major downside: the required deposit at check-in.
WiFi doesn't work because the name was incorrectly set at check-in.

Fortunately, this time the checkout went smoothly without any problems.
This was incredibly frustrating, room was finally available at 4.20pm
They allowed me to check in 2 hrs early.

We had a lovely couples spa at the Banyan tree and were treated very well by Tik and Wahwah , who were very professional and polite .
The best way to spend here is to take a relaxing stay that you don't need to go out and use the hotel's spa and amenities.
The spa experience was exceptional, what you would expect from a Banyan Tree from the check-in by Palmy to the massage therapists Nidia and Maida.

To top off my trip, I enjoyed the 150 minute spa treatment. Was world class in every way. Feeling very clean and refreshed.
The instructor guided the session with clear and gentle instructions, making it easy to follow whether you are a beginner or more experienced.
I asked to see a menu, the staff member initially told me I had to view it on the television in my room.

I messaged early before we arrive and the staff told me that he/she sent it through the spa but it was not done.
When I said I wanted it 'for now,' she abruptly stated that they were fully booked and required bookings 'days in advance.'
The setting is serene, the ambiance refined, and the therapists are exceptionally skilled—delivering a level of care that reflects true expertise.

Late check-out only until 1 PM, but at least we could still use the gym, pool, and sauna until the evening.
The relaxing ambience, coupled with the excellent skills of the therapists (Nicha A, Wawa and Shasha) melted all our stress away.
The facilities of the wellness area, especially the pool and saunas, are not in good condition and can be significantly improved.

Thanks to Nid who customised the qigong program for me, and P’ San who taught me the basics of Muay Thai.
The atmosphere was serene, the setting was calming, and the whole experience left me feeling deeply relaxed and recharged.
I especially enjoyed the balance between stretching, breathing, and relaxation, which left me feeling both energized and centered.

The therapist in the day spa, A provided a very relaxing treatment just what’s needed on holiday.
Highly recommend this for anyone looking for a unique and peaceful wellness activity during their stay!
The Banyan Tree Spa made me feel completely relaxed from the moment I walked in.

A stay at Banyan Tree is never complete without a massage at their spa.
I had the most amazing spa experience and the service was second to none.
It was a gift to enjoy such a truly quiet and peaceful moment.

As expected from a spa brand, the soap and shampoo were very good.
I left feeling refreshed, happy, and already wanting to come back again.
Having checked out, we spent our remaining time in the spa.

Special mention to the incredible team in the Banyan Tree Spa.
And also much needed rest that I was looking for!
Thank you so much for taking care of us today.

I chose back massage and the therapist is Poj.
My masseuse was courteous and thoughtful about my needs.
Susa guided the session beautifully with warmth and presence.

The gym was well equipped for a hotel, a good range of dumbbells, some cardio equipment, and a floor space to work out in.
I was also very impressed with the gym, which was well equipped and even had a StairMaster — a detail I really appreciated.
Late check-out only until 1 PM, but at least we could still use the gym, pool, and sauna until the evening.

The spa and gym are excellent, and they offer complimentary classes like yoga and Muay Thai, which was a great bonus.
There’s also free activities around the gym area such as kids Muay Thai and learn to make mocktail.
The gym offered a good selection of standard equipment, making it easy to stay active during our stay.

The gym and pool are both excellent and the pool has the most comfortable beds to recline on.
We learned a lot from him and looking forward to participate in future classes with him.
The hotel is walking distance to Dusit Central Park Bangkok or 5 minutes drive by Bolt.

My husband had a Muay Thai training session with Suk San which was absolutely fantastic
Very detailed explanation and such a nice training in the morning to lighten the day.
Most equipment is old, some padding is torn, and there’s no variety in strength equipment.

Suksan Muay Thai very good I have gained new skills and trainer was amazing.
Tried the private Muai Thai class, the coach was funny and good at teaching.
It’s not just about fitness, but also about building discipline and balance in life.

We did a muay thai class with K.Badminton and the experience was amazing.
Highly recommend for those who’s looking for exercise class in the Bangkok city.
We asked about alternatives but were only offered a small partner gym nearby.

I’ve gained strength, better focus, and a sense of happiness after every session.
Excellent pool & gym on 21st floor with great views of the city.
They organize yoga classes, Muay Thai boxing, and other activities at the gym.

That allowed our daughter to participate in boxing training at short notice.
A good teacher and exhausting session to finish off my holiday.
For the price of the hotel, I’d expect better-maintained fitness facilities.

The pool and gym area was also really nice.
Gym was a bit on the small side.
Lots of fun and a great workout!!!

Perfect fitness room with the necessary equipment.
However the gym was below expectations.
We went to the gym

We arranged a BMW transfer with the hotel which was more expensive than other transport options but we felt was perfect in our circumstances being very comfortable (very spacious, clean, cool and given a drink and moist towel) and most convenient (greeted at arrivals) after a long time travelling and considering the luggage we had with us.
Only mild criticism is the traffic get SO congested outside the hotel and you can be sat in traffic for ages when heading offsite. Allow plenty of time for anything you choose to do outside of the hotel.
We mentioned that to the hotel concierge as we would expect honest drivers or at least clear fares agreed with hotel staff when the driver is organised through them (as it happens in other places in Bangkok).

Not using the hotel's own car service added stress to our visit as I have stayed at the hotel before and used their service I know how much more relaxing it is.
Driver refused to bring us back to the hotel even if he literally just started the journey when we asked to confirm then price and had to bargain a lower fare.
I get luxury cost more but I believe the times when you can jerk of customers so badly are over and just reflects extremely negative on the Hotel.

Even the airport drop-off, just like the pickup, was seamless — warm smiles, smooth coordination, and the perfect send-off to end an exceptional stay.
Transport Tuk tuks and taxis are cheap and easy to get about as the hotel is about 10-20 minutes away from nearby attractions.
I would highly recommend this as we were coming off a long overnight flight and it made the 40 minute journey a pleasure.

Easy to walk to the BTS/Metro to get around the city and the hotels tuktuk can take you to the BTS too.
We were promptly presented with an offer, which we gratefully accepted, and we were received on time with signs and cool towels.
The airport picked us up from the airport and took us to the hotel as part of the room rate.

Pe explained to us how to use the Sky Train which was a ten minute walk from the hotel.
We became good at using the Sky Train which really helped avoid the traffic jams below us.
The difficulty of getting the shuttle, there should be many more departures per day and larger capacity.

They called us a taxi who asked us 1000 bath for a distance that would require 200.
A High end Taxi from the airport is 1500 a normal Taxi does the job for 700.
15 minutes on foot to the metro or by taxi to the riverside and boat taxi

There is a lot of traffic around the hotel so you’re always stuck travelling anywhere.
We contacted the concierge by email regarding the pickup which is about 2.5 hours away.
The MRT is close by so gives you easy access to the whole of Bangkok.

There was a shuttle provided for the train station but this stopped running at 6pm.
Very difficult to book transportation to the airport because it wasn't 24 hours in advance....
There is a metro stop 5 mins from the hotel, so is still pretty accessible

The airport pickup service was impeccable — smooth, punctual, and executed with quiet precision.
It’s an hour by cab from the airport but that’s the same for everyone
We used the hotel’s transport service to and from the hotel which was seamless.

It's not the easiest place to get to from the airport.
Many traffic jams around the area but not the hotel’s fault
The staff helped us book a taxi to the airport.
