I will definitely stay at the Carlton hotel again as I believe it would be hard for any other hotel to deliver the same level of service for the same price.

★ 10.0Couple

There’s nothing else. Really. For those who are hesitant, I think it would be great to make a reservation and enjoy the hotel after reading this review.

★ 10.0Family with Children

We have stayed in several 5-star places around the world, especially in Europe, but in our opinion, none has lived up to this one.

★ 10.0Couple

As someone who is also a hotel host I can definitely say that this hotel is one of the best hotel in Bangkok.

★ 10.0Couple

Brand new five star hotel, modern interiors, outstanding staff, special thanks to amazing Ms. Rosie in the reception, so professional and helpful.

★ 10.0Couple

The hotel was brilliant! Very modernly furnished, yet extremely functional - you can tell that everything was considered during the planning.

★ 10.0Couple

We had a wonderful stay at the Carlton Bangkok Hotel, booking a Carlton Club Room, and everything exceeded our expectations.

★ 10.0Couple

It was a very clean modern hotel, and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Bangkok.

★ 10.0Family with Children

The hotel is really nice, we booked the family room which was great for our trip with the kids.

★ 10.0Family with Children

An excellent hotel that is highly recommended. The hotel is modern, beautiful, and designed to a high standard.

★ 10.0Family with Children

The put effort in the small details, it’s the best and cleanest hotel I have ever been in!

★ 10.0Extended Group

Service at a very, very high level, cleanliness, comfort, location, just everything, I wouldn't change a thing.

★ 10.0Solo Traveller

Beautiful, modern hotel in a great location with a short walk to the Emsphere and Emporium malls.

★ 10.0

A luxurious dining room, there's nothing else to add except that the hotel is simply worth it.

★ 9.0Extended Group

Cleanliness, beautiful rooms, any request we made, whether culinary or otherwise, was always met, impeccable staff!

★ 10.0Couple

They charge a lot of money to stay with no breakfast so won’t be staying again

★ 6.0

But the atmosphere for the restaurant doesn’t have a warm and romantic feeling, needed some cozy!

★ 10.0Couple

A truly fantastic stay at the Carlton Hotel Bangkok from July 28th to August 2nd.

★ 10.0Couples

What disappointed me most was the lack of ambiance typically associated with a 5-star hotel.

★ 8.0Solo Traveller

The Carlton club was great and the lounge amazing with great pre nibbles before dinner

★ 10.0Couple

We will definitely book the Carlton Hotel again for our next stay in Bangkok.

★ 10.0Couple

The corridors look very boring wit almost no colors or paintings/decor on the walls.

★ 7.0Solo Traveller

The hotel is very stylish and luxurious, the staff incredibly attentive, friendly, and professional.

★ 10.0Couple

The hotel is of a very high standard, with great attention to detail.

★ 10.0Family with Children

The Carlton Hotel in Bangkok is a fantastic hotel for a city trip.

★ 10.0Family with Children

The hotel is very clean, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the hotel is family-oriented with no noise or disturbances. Additionally, there is no alcohol in the room's refrigerator, which is a feature that is rarely found in five-star hotels, especially in Bangkok.

★ 10.0Couple

We stayed at this hotel for our honeymoon, and they were so kind as to put roses on our bed, upgrade us to a higher room, and give us a slice of cake to share.

★ 10.0Partner

My overall impression of the hotel is that it's a very well-run and professional establishment, with high-quality facilities and a staff that went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable.

★ 9.0Extended Group

A new hotel, modern, excellent location, the staff is 10 out of 10, the views from the room, good breakfast, and the price compared to other 5* hotels in Bangkok seems good to me.

★ 10.0Couple

Air conditioning operates across all floors & in the hotel lifts which is not always the case in Bangkok hotels, so a pleasant bonus as was the well cooled reception / foyer area.

Big thanks to Mr Kook who always welcomes us with his smile and always makes sure that we don’t forget any belongings from the taxi which i really appreciate this point (as many others hotel don’t do it) so they are unique.

★ 10.0Couple

One hotel employee stayed with me while going down the stairs from the 29th floor, though I was slowly and told him a couple of times he can move on and doesn't need to wait (thank you!)

★ 9.0Couple

He even tried to get mango sticky rice from a particular stall that wasn’t in season — instead of giving up, he called other shops on his own time to check for us.

★ 10.0Couples

They went out of their way to help me with an administrative issue I had and printed off a lot of documents that I needed urgently, all with a smile.

★ 10.0Couple

First of all the person at the reception told us that the rooftop was completly closed because it was a Buddha Day and that he could not sell alcohol.

★ 6.0Couple

The staff is very friendly; I would like to highlight the staff from the lounge, who are very accommodating and helpful with questions not only about the hotel.

★ 9.0Solo Traveller

The front desk staff appeared very uninterested in us and we got the sense that they were not interested in having us stay at the hotel.

★ 5.0Couple

Not only was every staff member courteous and attentive, they often anticipated my needs or wishes and fulfilled them before I even had to ask.

★ 10.0Solo Traveller

What really impressed me that the Hotel Manager was also looking after his team and provided for all water and chairs and medical attention.

★ 9.0Couple

Was woken at 2am with the do not disturb sign on the room asking to pay a room service bill from an hour ago.

★ 6.0Couple

The staff made extra effort to add some heart felt touches to the room along with an amazing dessert to celebrate our honeymoon.

★ 10.0Couple

Pretty poor customer service for a five star hotel, especially given the money I spent in the bar and for the accommodation.

★ 9.0Solo Traveller

All the staff are trustworthy, always listening to you, treating you with so much courtesy and a smile, without any social distinction.

★ 10.0Couple

The lounge staff always remembered my name and treated me kindly and comfortably every time I visited, which made me feel great.

★ 9.0Couple

The staff is very welcoming and gave us great advice on places to shop as well as where to buy jewelry.

★ 10.0Family with Children

Nothing was a bother for them, especially the front door staff of Kook and Phun who always had a smile.

★ 10.0Couples

The front desk team, bellmen, and even the drivers who took us to and from the airport were all fantastic.

★ 10.0Family with Children

This was made up for by the rest of the staff in the breakfast restaurant and on the door.

★ 9.0Solo Traveller

NOK - our maid was great and Immy, Nee, Nicha, and Bai from the club lounge were very lovely

★ 10.0Couple

When I asked for a restaurant reservation, they brought back a wonderful answer and I was very satisfied.

★ 10.0Solo Traveller

The staff reacted excellently in this exceptional situation and provided us with water, seating options, and beach sandals.

★ 10.0Couple

We would like to give all credit to all staff who were there during our stay, without them.

★ 10.0Couple

I would also like to highlight Mr Wat, who was especially helpful and friendly throughout my stay.

★ 10.0Family

I did ask them for assistance twice which must have been inconvenient and they obliged without hesitation.

★ 10.0Family with Children

We love the breakfast staff too because they ask us about our daily plans and suggest places.

★ 10.0Couple

On the last day of our stay, we encountered inappropriate behavior from a staff member who communicated with us in a threatening manner, stating that if we did not check out before 1 PM, a full day would be charged, despite the fact that it is mentioned in Booking that a 1 PM checkout is allowed for elite clients.

★ 8.0Couple

The first 3 days was the same gentleman on duty, every time when we ask questions he always on his personal phone doing text messages, the answers from him was very basic and no better expedition or recommendations, no one time see him put his focus on, we were kinda lost from the beginning.

★ 10.0Couple

I requested a late check-out from the reception manager, and he allowed a late check-out until 2 PM, while the club room I booked mentions the possibility of extending the check-out time until 3 PM, so he is not being generous; on the contrary, he tried to give me less than my right.

★ 7.0Solo Traveller

I want to thank and highlight the wonderful experience that was provided to me specifically by the lady at the reception who is learning French (a very delicate and kind lady) and the best hosts in the world; Nuam, Art, Jack, and Wat, extremely dedicated, courteous, available, and warm in their welcome.

★ 10.0Couple

A few staff members really stood out - Alex at the front desk made check-in a breeze, Kook from the bellman team was super friendly and helpful, and Duty Manager Patsita and the FOH team even arranged a surprise birthday cake for my dad, complete with a cute towel art design.

I specially stated a preference for a king size bed when booking more than 1 month in advance, when I arrived they say they don't have king size bed available, I had to pay extra money to get it.

★ 8.0Solo Traveller

I booked a double room with a double bed , then when I arrived they said they only had a room with two singles unless I upgraded to a club room for 8000thb

★ 7.0Solo Traveller

I didn't request an accessible room but was assigned one, which I didn't like because the bathroom floor which leads to the toilet bowl became all wet and slippery.

★ 8.0Solo Traveller

The hotel upgraded us and also in our room we had a anniversary cake and the bed was covered with flowers saying happy anniversary a great surprise

★ 10.0Couple

We choose one big bed because we are cople on honey moon, and we also send message which was immediatley responded that they can not guaranty.

★ 8.0Couple

The design of our room and the amenities it offered were quite good! (For example: City view, TOTO toilet, spacious bathroom & bathtub, King-size bed)

★ 10.0Couple

99 out of 100 times, the silicone edges in hotel rooms are moldy and dirty. I always take the silicone edges as a guideline.

★ 10.0Family with Children

At the beginning, we had a room with a view of construction sites. However, we were able to change it, which was wonderful.

★ 10.0Family with Children

I had booked it in advance and always stay here whenever I come over to BKK but my request couldn't be accommodated.

★ 10.0Solo Traveller

Only small downside: we can hear the BTS pass from the 16th floor if we are not on the pool side.

★ 10.0Extended Group

The room is very comfortable, the view is magnificent (don't hesitate to ask for the higher floors to enjoy the view)

★ 10.0Family with Children

We stayed for a one night stop over in a club room on the 32nd floor with an amazing view.

★ 10.0Couples

We were on the 31st floor - stunning view of all of Bangkok from the huge window of the room.

★ 10.0Couple

We upgraded to the Carlton Club room and the shower didn’t have wall mounted body soap, shampoo or conditioner.

★ 10.0Couple

The bathroom and toilet floor is very slippery, so be careful when getting out of the shower or bath.

★ 8.0Family with Children

However, I was surprised to find that the standard room we were assigned was designed for disabled guests.

★ 8.0Couple

In the second room, the toilet was separated from the shower with a wall and drainage was bitter.

★ 9.0Family with Children

The air conditioning units on the balconies are just not pretty and spoil the beauty a bit.

★ 7.0Couple

In this hotel, the silicone edges are spotless, as if they were just installed a day ago.

★ 10.0Family with Children

Curtains can go all the way close or all the way open. It's a bit annoying.

★ 10.0Couple

The bathtub may not be long, but it is wide and deep, making it very pleasant.

★ 10.0Family with Children

The king size bed is made of 2 mattresses that are not aligned in height.

★ 8.0Solo Traveller

There was a damage trash can in the toilet that i reported them about that.

★ 8.0

She also made a very vivid towel elephant on the bed welcoming me, quite touched.

★ 10.0Solo Traveller

TV had some problem at night, not sure it’s because of bad connection or what.

★ 10.0Couple

I had two short stays here and the first room I had was set up with the toilet directly in the shower and the water from the shower not only surrounding the toilet area, but it also seeped out into the rest of the bathroom due to improper drainage.

★ 9.0Family with Children

Got twin best for the first three days promised they will move me to king bed on the next 3 days (I extended my stay) they fail to keep that promise due to lack of rooms as They, I felt that they just didn't want me to move.

★ 7.0Family with Children

There was one downside with the room that we had, it was on the club floor, but underneath the kitchen so at 1 AM when they were closing the kitchen and cleaning up, all we heard were pots and pans and banging.

★ 10.0Partner

1. We flew in with family, we booked 3 identical rooms. In one of the rooms, there was a very heavy smell embedded in the fabrics, we couldn't air it out. The smell of cigarettes(( even though I requested a non-smoking room.

★ 9.0Solo Traveller

We had booked and paid for a room for three people, but we had to buy a bed for our 12-year-old daughter upon arrival for 50 euros per night (as if three people could fit in a double bed otherwise).

Also the location right next to Sukhumvit Road means that you need to consider for additional for a Grab just to reach you and get out of that ongoing traffic jam, might be just Bangkok though.

★ 9.0Solo Traveller

The hotel is set against a very busy road, which makes it convenient, but the constant traffic is a real downer, so it would be great if it was set back somewhat.

★ 9.0Solo Traveller

I took a look up and decided to go up here, it was one of the best decisions I made while I was in the Sukhumvit area of bangkok.

★ 10.0Solo Travel

Though the hotel is not directly connected to any shopping mall or BTS station, it is just 7 to 10 min walk away from the nearest BTS stations.

★ 9.0Couple

In addition it is central to some nice malls including Emsphere, Terminal 21 as well as the asok BTS & MRT lines in terms of transportation.

★ 10.0Couple

The location is suitable for those who want a clean place that is 1.5 kilometers away from the Arab Street, about a fifteen-minute walk.

★ 8.0Solo Traveller

Amazing stay, I would come back only for the quality of the room, the location and the excellent staff of the hotel.

★ 9.0Solo Traveller

In walking distance of a number of malls and only a short walk of about 5-10 mins to the nearest BTS station.

★ 9.0Couple

The building suffers from wind noise on one side, the other side is facing the BTS which makes a noticeable sound

★ 9.0Couple

Carlton is located in a fairly busy area; it is recommended to take public transport during rush hour if possible.

★ 5.0Family with Children

A very stylish hotel in a good location with great facilities and exceptional staff; but charging for them denying club

★ 9.0Solo Traveller

It also took over an hour to reach Khao San, for example, due to the traffic in the area

★ 9.0Couple

The hotel is in an excellent location, making it very convenient to get around and explore the city.

★ 10.0Family with Children

This is a “wanna be” 5 star hotel but the service is not indicative of a 5 star!

★ 3.0Couple

There are tons of things to do with malls and so many different food places near by!

★ 10.0Couple

The comfort of the room, the location close to the elevated subway, the kindness of the staff.

★ 9.0Couple

The hotel is ideally located, just a stone's throw from the metro, which is very convenient.

★ 10.0Extended Group

It was fantastic from start to finish and I really couldn't fault the hotel at all.

★ 6.0Couple

An oasis in amoung a hectic city, right by the metro, couldn't have wished for better.

★ 10.0Couple

The location is perfect, close to everything you need, just steps away from EmSpehere Mall.

★ 10.0Couple

The area felt safe in the evening and there are lots of options for food.

★ 10.0

Hotel and area felt safe and welcoming and I would recommend for couples and families.

★ 10.0Couple

It's about a 15-minute walk to Terminal 21 Mall and to the train station.

★ 10.0Solo Traveller

Great hotel. The location is fantastic. Cafes and the metro are within walking distance.

★ 10.0Family with Children

However, it is also very busy, loud, and a bit grimy around the edges.

★ 10.0Solo Traveller

Great location in the center, within walking distance to Terminal 21, about 400 meters to Asoke Skytrain station, a train ride from the station to the Nana area, within walking distance to the luxurious and shaded new center mall with an endless selection of restaurants on the first floor, nightlife, massages

★ 10.0Couple

The only downside not related to the hotel is that the famous malls like Siam Paragon and Central are 3 km away, which seems very close, but due to the terrible traffic in Bangkok, it can take an hour and a quarter to get there.

★ 10.0Couple

The metro station is close, behind it is a huge central shopping mall, a bit further is the Siam Paragon mall, in the other direction across the road is an excellent gastro space, not far from the canal and the boat station.

★ 10.0Family with Children

While there is a metro not too far from the property (about 10mjns walk) it is a bit of a commute to get to a lot of the key tourist places eg. China Town, Wat Pho, the river and any floating markets.

★ 6.0Couple

Although very well located, the establishment is in a lively and central neighborhood, but the environment may seem noisy due to constant traffic; however, this is secondary compared to the overall quality, mainly the availability and professionalism of the staff.

Breakfast: What guests say

View Carlton Hotel Bangkok Sukhumvit

I hope that breakfast includes some Middle Eastern dishes in the future. This doesn't mean that breakfast was not good; on the contrary, it was very good, but I hope it includes what I've mentioned above, if the management allows.

★ 10.0Couple

Unfortunately, the breakfast buffet is nothing special compared to other hotels, and if it's not included in the hotel price, 800 THB per person is too expensive but decent.

★ 10.0Couple

Breakfast is rather pricy and only available until 10:30, but there are plenty of other options closeby if you choose to go for alternative options.

★ 10.0Family with Children

I undesrstand we are in Asia but there was plenty of not Asian customer and the breakfast should reflect also this aspect

★ 9.0Couple

The buffet breakfast, whilst it was excellent, lacked some variety in pastries and the fruit provided was a little variable.

★ 10.0Couple

The wonderful gentleman at the entrance who always ensured we went down to have a great breakfast each morning.

★ 9.0Couple

In the end, I couldn't use it and went for a cup of tea in the afternoon instead..

★ 7.0Couple

The breakfast was a little pricey, opted for local options that were excellent and much better value.

★ 9.0Family with Children

The only down side is that breakfast was not included and it was an additional charge.

★ 8.0Friends

Breakfast might have been a little more varied given we were staying for a week.

★ 9.0Couple

We accidentally booked without breakfast and they asked for an unreasonable price for the addition.

★ 9.0Family with Children

On the other mornings of our stay, we decided to have our breakfast outside.

★ 8.0Family with Children

The range of food catered for many nationalities and the staff were amazing.

★ 10.0Couple

Breakfast location (lower ground) had a sewer smell, which was really off putting.

★ 9.0Family with Children

Morning breakfast has a huge verity, very tasty and the service is amazing.

★ 10.0Business Travellers

The breakfast buffet was plentiful and tasty, there was something for everyone.

★ 10.0Couple

- the variety and quality of products available at breakfast is impeccable

★ 10.0Couple

Breakfast is the only reason I don't give it a 10.

★ 9.0Family with Children

The breakfast was a bit too expensive for the food offered.

★ 10.0Family with Children

Great hotel with very good breakfast, in a top location.

★ 9.0Solo Traveller

For this price I think breakfast should have been included.

★ 9.0Couple

20 euro per person is quite expensive by local standard

★ 10.0Family with Children

I especially loved the fresh baked baguettes from the cafe.

★ 9.0Solo Traveller

Super nice breakfast cafe/happy hour on the 1st floor

★ 10.0Couple

Both Thai, Asian, and European dishes, hot and cold.

★ 8.0Couple

There could have been a little more effort on the breakfast box such as chopped fruit, yoghurt, mini cereal, milk carton, bacon & egg roll, etc instead there was minimal effort in the box with apple, lime, croissant, juice in carton, danish, cheese & ham sandwich and luke warm coffee.

★ 10.0Couple

It would have been nice to be able to have breakfast until 11 am instead of 10:30 am (at least on weekends). Many tourists travel to Bangkok to enjoy the nightlife, so it makes sense to have the possibility to have a late breakfast.

★ 10.0Solo Traveller

Okay, one small point, we found the breakfast too expensive; we only had it one morning, it looked perfect but I don't eat that much, so we decided to eat outside the hotel. There are plenty of other cafes where you can go!

★ 10.0Couple

Also, the fact that the breakfast room is in the basement and has no windows did not make the experience any more attractive. However, it is definitely a good breakfast by Thai standards, and everyone can find something.

★ 9.0Family with Children

About a 5-minute walk away is a small breakfast place - overpriced for Thai standards (around 250 Baht), but you can be sure it's clean and it's cheaper than the hotel breakfast (800 Baht per person)😊

When getting off the crowded elevator, I mistook the number display on the wall for the floor number when the doors opened, resulting in getting off at the wrong floor. It seems that there were other guests who experienced the same thing.

★ 8.0Couple

Although I didn't use it this time, there is also a small sauna, and it seemed really nice to be able to enter the pool after the sauna.

★ 10.0Couple

As we had plans every evening during our visit, we weren't back at the hotel room to see how their rooftop bar was.

★ 8.0Extended Group

The location of the smoking area on the first floor is at the exit of the hallway, which was a bit inconvenient.

★ 10.0Couple

The 33rd floor club lounge serving pre dinner food and drinks was a great way to spend the early evening.

★ 10.0Couple

The club lounge was also great with snacks and drinks in the evening, included in the room rate.

★ 10.0Couple

Only after I make a commitment that they will not take "from the food" are they allowed.

★ 9.0Couple

The shower has unstable water pressure; sometimes it’s strong, sometimes weak, sometimes hot, sometimes cold :(

★ 9.0Family with Children

The rooftop bar must be seen, and the beautiful cocktails and oysters are highly recommended here.

★ 10.0Couple

The windows in the room do not open, resulting in poor ventilation of the space.

★ 1.0Solo Traveller

There is a pool and a rooftop bar, making it comfortable to spend time there.

★ 10.0Couple

For such a massive hotel the personal men’s spa barely fits two people each.

★ 2.0Solo Traveller

Everything was clean and tasteful, I really enjoyed the centre-piece chandelier in the lobby.

★ 9.0Couple

Pool on the 10th floor was quiet and could use in the evening.

★ 9.0Extended Group

The CARLTON Club launch was worth it all and is highly recommended!

★ 10.0Couple

The lounge very stark and clinical looking with no ornaments, plants etc.

★ 7.0Couple

Great facilities, has everything you could need and expect from Carlton.

★ 9.0Solo Traveller

But when you are 63 years old, that's how it is.

★ 10.0Couple

The rooftop bar is also brilliant and again- fantastic service.

★ 10.0Solo Traveller

Need to improve especially when I am in a suite

★ 10.0Family with Children

Lifts were a bit annoying could do with more lifts.

★ 10.0Couple

The corridors are wide and have a nice scent.

★ 8.0Solo Traveller

The cleanliness as well as the very attentive staff

★ 10.0Extended Group

The rooms are spacious and very well soundproofed.

★ 10.0Family with Children

Beautiful big hotel with nice rooms and facilities.

★ 10.0Couple

The pool area does not match the same standard as the rest of the hotel, the pool water is not heated, and the sauna and hammam area is not very high quality and has an unpleasant smell.

★ 9.0Family with Children

(Maybe I just couldn't find it, but) there was only a razor-specific outlet in the bathroom, so it was a bit inconvenient not being able to dry my hair in front of the mirror.

★ 10.0Family with Children

The hotels right next to it were priced significantly lower at the time and I paid extra assuming Carlton was going to be a more modern hotel with better pool and gym facilities

★ 9.0Couple

The club lounge was very poor – only tea, coffee, and the same biscuits during the day, and in the evening only the cheapest alcohol selection, which we did not even touch.

★ 4.0Couple

The Carlton Club Loungs has no really addintional value. Some drinks, some nuts thats it. If i compare it with other 5 star hotel in Bangkok so the offers there are poor.

★ 9.0Solo Traveller

Plenty of seating areas, the is a children’s play area too and a restaurant so you can buy a nice drink and sit and enjoy that while you swim and watch your kids swim around safely.

★ 10.0Family with Children

A second pool would be good for size of the property to allow more space for more sun beds/bathing but current pool and area lovely just a bit small for amount of guests

★ 10.0Couple

Not enough lounge chairs by the pool, not to mention a pool crowded with people swimming fully dressed and thinking it's an Olympic pool, so if we want to relax, it's hopeless.

★ 1.0Couple

The pool on the 10th floor is great; since it's facing west, swimming in the morning isn't hot, and there weren't many people even at 6:30 AM.

★ 10.0Extended Group

The lack of facilities, particularly the swimming pool where it is impossible to find a spot to lie down after 10:00 AM.

★ 8.0Couple

Only enjoyed the pool for a short swim, so unfortunately had no time to see the rest of the facilities.

★ 9.0Solo Traveller

We used the pool several times, it can get a little busy around the pool in the afternoon.

★ 10.0Family

The pool is very large and allows for good relaxation away from the city, like a resort.

★ 10.0Couple

The pool area on the 10th floor is very relaxing with a view of the city.

★ 10.0Family

The swimming pool is very large, as is the gym, which has all the necessary equipment.

★ 10.0Couple

Several guests claimed pool beds very early in the morning, even if not using it.

★ 9.0Couple

It never seemed to be busy in the lobby, rooftop bar or pool area.

★ 10.0Partner

We enjoyed the pool - a great respite from Bangkok’s incessant heat & humidity.

★ 9.0Couple

The pool is big and has a lovely chill area with a bar.

★ 10.0Couple

We liked the pool a little less, although we can't explain why exactly.

★ 9.0Family with Children

Really, the only thing I thought was overrated is the pool area.

★ 9.0Couple

The pool area could benefit from an additional one or two sunbeds.

★ 9.0Couple

The rooms, pool, service (especially Jack!), the Cantonese restaurant, the location.

Not sure if they did not want to open it at all, or if there was anything wrong with me (short pants + short armed button shirt, so maybe my touristy appearance - but all hotel guests were casual those days).

★ 9.0Solo Traveller

I was first told the restaurant was fully booked for lunch, then after ordering the meal set in the cafe in the lobby, I was told it would be possible to get a seat in the restaurant.

★ 9.0Solo Traveller

The cocktails in the rooftop bar, Cit Cooling Tower, were very disappointing; first, our reservation was forgotten or mishandled, and then the cocktails were completely watered down, the worst we've had on vacation.

★ 8.0Family with Children

It looks great but the cake was awful and a panino was filled with cheap cheese you normally find on a pizza, which should be melted but it wasn't on the panino.

★ 7.0Family with Children

The food served at the pool and rooftop bar was exceptional—delicious, generously portioned, and complemented by the friendly and attentive staff who ensured we felt well cared for.

★ 10.0Family

There are many restaurants in the area with cheaper food, as well as in the shopping mall Terminal 21, where there is a food market in the basement.

★ 8.0Couple

We ordered room service twice and the food was below average which is not acceptable at a hotel at such scale and a food city as bangkok.

★ 9.0Couple

The service at the restaurant at night was appalling: maybe 4 tables filled and it took 30mn for a dish, had to remind things as forgotten.

★ 4.0Couple

During our meal, the staff were preoccupied with side tasks, such as setting up tables for the next day’s lunch, which created unnecessary noise.

★ 8.0Partner

The quality of the catering really needs to be revised, and the prices do not match what is served.

★ 4.0Family with Children

Loved the rooftop bar . Great views over city and the staff could not have been nicer.

★ 10.0Extended Group

The tuxedo café is excellent and the rooftop has a magnificent view just like the room.

★ 10.0Couple

Don’t have much to say other than the room service food was some how just okey.

★ 10.0Family with Children

While the taste was good, the options nearby the hotel are better in my opinion.

★ 10.0Family with Children

However, those who enjoy Japanese or Korean food for breakfast will be very satisfied here.

★ 10.0Solo Traveller

The rooftop is sad. the restaurant is in the basement, what a strange idea!!

★ 4.0Family with Children

The hotel itself has a couple of restaurant options with a rooftop and spa.

★ 10.0Extended Group

Fortunately, we were able to sit by the window as there was an opening.

★ 10.0Extended Group

Especially the restaurant Wah Lok offers very good Dim Sum and Cantonese specialties.

★ 9.0Couple

Chinese food 🥢 - not bad (I’ve eaten it three times) 😆

★ 9.0Family with Children

On the first evening, we ate at the Espresso bar, delicious Thai.

★ 8.0Couple

The cocktails and food at the rooftop bar was super yummy!

★ 10.0Couple

It is worth the extra money to take a Club room.

★ 9.0Solo Traveller

We dined at the Wah Lok restaurant at 9:30 PM.

★ 8.0Partner

We do not put ragù alla bolognese in Pad Thai!!

★ 9.0Couple

We booked a nice table at the rooftop bar.

★ 10.0Family with Children

And the food at the hotel is excellent.

★ 10.0Family with Children

Breakfast at the the Plate Restaurant was wonderful.

★ 9.0Couple

The Cantonese restaurant could have been better.

We flew out at 8:30 pm, these were not available so we had to check out of both rooms at 12- we paid a fair amount of money to stay ands one room would of done us on New Year’s Day so we could comfortably get ready for flight.

★ 7.0Family with Children

We haven't use our last night as our flight is very early in the morning but i think that was my fault but could have get at least snacks out of not using the last night ! That's my opinion.

★ 10.0Couple

I booked through Booking.com, but the double payment issue hasn't been resolved. This is the first time I've encountered something like this, and it was frustrating as it ruined my trip; it still hasn't been resolved, so it's really frustrating.

★ 8.0Family with Children

I had to pay holding fee with cash as all my Visa and Mastercards were not accepted because they were debit cards, even though I had plenty of money in them and have used them at lots of different hotels.

★ 10.0Solo Traveller

Their stay is decent until you checked out and you see all these charges held onto your credit card for a week and nobody bothers to reply to explain WHY the need to hold these double charges for SO LONG??

★ 4.0Family with Children

We had been given an extended check out time of 15:00 upon request but when we tried to get into our rooms at 14:45 to take our bags and checkout, we were locked out as they had locked the rooms.

★ 9.0Couple

The reception has taken a deposit of $600 from my card. Upon check-out they charged the card for my $500 accommodation. The deposit charge was not returned. I only got it back on my card a full month later.

★ 9.0Solo Traveller

The stay was decent until you checked out and you see all these charges held onto your credit card for a week and nobody bothers to reply WHY the need to hold these double charges for SO LONG??

★ 4.0Family with Children

Only one thing I didnt like was when I checked in I had lots of debit mastercard and debit visa which have plenty of money on them but I could not use for hold at hotel.

★ 10.0Solo Traveller

On check in we did not receive the room we requested, we requested a double but got a twin room and were not told before check in that the double was not available.

★ 7.0Couple

The check in procedure which lacks a bit of comfort, unlike other 5 start hotels, we were required to stand at the front desk instead of sitting and being welcomed bu staff.

★ 10.0Couple

Secondly, I was asked to leave a deposit of 2K baht per night(which added up to 12K baht for my entire stay) as security deposit and I was taken aback.

★ 10.0Solo Traveller

Upon check-in, it was necessary to leave a deposit of 2,000 baht; we couldn't freeze it on the card because it was a debit card, and we didn't have cash.

★ 9.0Couple

From check in, concierge, Carlton Lounge, the delicious and variety of breakfast menu (included with Carlton Club), being on the 32nd floor … everything was beyond expectations!

★ 10.0Couple

We did inform the hotel that we would be checking in around midnight and the front desk staff well noted this by the time we arrived.

★ 9.0Couple

We got to the Hotel a few hours before the check in time and the staff were very helpful and organised an early check in

★ 10.0Family with Children

I asked for at least a slightly late check-out, but they didn't grant it, even though I booked 7 rooms for 6 nights.

★ 4.0Family with Children

The only thing that we thought was missing was being welcomed with a refreshing drink when we first arrived at check in.

★ 9.0Couple

After I explained that I had asked in advance, the staff simply told me that this was “another department’s responsibility.”

★ 6.0Family with Children

Check in was at 2 however I arrived 12 30 and they did not allow me to check in

★ 8.0Solo Traveller

The check-in where we were asked for a cash deposit because Visa card payments do not go through.

★ 10.0Family with Children

Also making use of the general facilities after check-out time before leaving was no issue at all.

★ 10.0Family with Children

Nothing to complain about since did not really communicate otherwise, apart from checking in and out.

★ 8.0Extended Group

We checked in early after arriving by night train at a reduced and fair rate.

★ 10.0Family with Children

The late checkout for Club guests needs a re-think given they are paying a premium.

The fitness center is very nice and I don’t know why it’s not 24 hrs since there is no attendant anyway and it’s accessible by card.

★ 8.0Family

Gym is quite outdated and the machines and accessories were really faded.. I also didn’t see it being cleaned as often as I would expect.

★ 9.0Couple

We were also able to enjoy the well-equipped gym (it could use a few more gym mats).

Gym is more than adequate for a decent strength workout & plenty of cardio to use too.

I booked the massage trusting the hotel, but I didn't want to receive the massage in a different building, and I said I would wait, but eventually, after 40 minutes, I was told to wait another 20 minutes and had no choice but to cancel the reservation.

★ 10.0Family with Children

There is a massage facility on the 10th floor, but it is not exclusive to guests, and it was fully booked, leaving no availability. It's very disappointing that there are no benefits for guests regarding massage services.

★ 8.0Family with Children

If other locations are available, it would have been better if there was a shuttle service from the hotel to the same chain of Let’s Relax stores.

★ 8.0Family with Children

Despite having the same store in the hotel, having to travel to another location at night defeats the purpose of staying at the hotel.

★ 8.0Family with Children

The one thing that could have been easier or more convenient was if the spa bill could be added to your room bill.

★ 10.0Couple

This was the first time I experienced a hotel asking customers to wait until 9 o'clock for a reservation made at 8 o'clock.

★ 10.0Family with Children

There was also a chain massage spa in the hotel, so I comfortably had a massage during my remaining time before the flight.

★ 10.0Family with Children

This means you have to go back to your room after the sauna to shower and take care of your hair accordingly.

★ 10.0Solo Traveller

The spa was amazing throughly enjoyed a massage, very relaxing and great service with a pre and after drink and snack included.

★ 10.0Family

Also there is a spa called "let's relax" on the top floor which is amazing, loved the whole experience in the hotel.

★ 10.0Couple

If desired, you must book online for this hotel's store just like other Let’s Relax locations, at least 24 hours in advance.

★ 8.0Family with Children

Spa was one of the best. The heavenly Thai massage is a must! I discovered pressure points incident know I had.

★ 9.0Solo Traveller

The sauna is so small that you hesitate to go on the upper level for fear of falling into the heater.

★ 10.0Solo Traveller

My friend had a spa appointment and the spa room could’ve been warmer and atmosphere more calming by dimming the lights.

★ 9.0Extended Group

The hotel provided me with outdated pricing information, and the massage itself was quite painful, especially on the back and shoulders.

★ 9.0Couple

I arrived 10 minutes before the appointment time, but I had to wait an additional 15 to 20 minutes,

★ 10.0Family with Children

Don’t miss the spa — such an awesome and relaxing experience before our 8-hour flight back to Sydney!

★ 10.0Couple

The sauna is very small (fits only one person at time) and has no working light in it.

★ 9.0Solo Traveller

And they said that if I went to a different building, the massage would be available right away.

★ 10.0Family with Children

Although the massage options are relatively cheap, you will find better spa and massage options elsewhere in Bangkok.

★ 10.0Couple

Had a very bad experience! Unfortunately it’s not run by the hotel and it’s an outside company.

★ 8.0Couple

Also, the Leta Relax SPA located within the hotel was of very high quality.

★ 10.0Couple

The hotel arranged a hotel transfer to and from the airport, which was very convenient, but I'd recommend downloading the app "Grab" and arranging a taxi to get around at a fraction of the price.

★ 8.0Couple

Traffic is very heavy and therefore there are a lot of traffic jams, but it depends on the hours and it's not at all the fault of the hotel

★ 9.0Family with Children

The next morning, trying to catch a taxi to Don Mueang Airport, none of the taxis used the meter due to the early hour and only quoted '400 THB'.

★ 10.0Couple

I took a ferry from there and barely made it to the check-in on time. Because I arrived an hour early, I was able to make it, but

★ 9.0Couple

After 5 minutes in the meter taxi, the driver told us, the roads leading to the Palace were closed and instead we would need to take a boat.

★ 8.0Family with Children

Also, if the concierge calls you a taxi, they clearly state the price out loud for the driver to hear so they won't overcharge, which happens occasionally.

★ 9.0Family with Children

Hotel airport transfer from Airport to hotel was great, the driver was polite and ensured the safety of the hotel, did not push for other packages.

★ 10.0Family

He drove us to some pier where an old rickety boat was waiting, with what we assumed were the patrons asking us eagerly 1500 baths each.

★ 8.0Family with Children

Now in the middle of nowhere, we called the Carlton enquiring about the taxi driver they got us and the roads 'closure' to the Royal Palace.

★ 8.0Family with Children

Since there was only a handwritten ticket and no pamphlet, I asked around in broken English and figured out it was on the opposite bank.

★ 9.0Couple

By chance we managed to flash another taxi who stopped us after 10 minutes right in front of the Royal Palace for a 100 baths.

★ 8.0Family with Children

Mainly we used 'Grab' for transport when we left the hotel in the morning, and arrive back late afternoon with BTS (high train).

★ 9.0Couple

Thanks to the kind advice about the traffic condition in the city, I managed my itinerary in timely manners with peace in mind.

★ 10.0Business
