Overall: What guests say

Guests repeatedly praise the attentive, welcoming service, spacious and impressive hotel, good food and diverse breakfast, and direct access to Central Ladprao mall. Many return year after year. However, several say the property is showing its age and needs renovation; one guest noted a toilet odor, while another found club facilities disappointing and dinner hours too limited.

As someone who has significant credibility in accurately assessing hotels, since I am professionally engaged in this job, I could compose and write a whole report regarding my four-day stay in this grand hotel, but I will be brief.
We recently stayed for 4 days and 3 nights at Centara Grand at Central Plaza, and it was such a wonderful experience from start to finish.
I highly recommend the hotel, both for those seeking comfort and structure, and for those who value service that really makes a difference.

Despite having stayed in the same hotel for 20 yrs,, since she was sofitel centara... I am not given any preference.
Furthermore, i attended a meeting at the hotel and the catering for the breaks and the lunches was great.
A hotel that will charm you and leave a lasting impression for a long time! Go for it!!!

The hotel is a bit worn, but everything works fine and it doesn't spoil the overall impression.
Getting a bit tired and dated looking and expensive to eat and drink in the hotel
Better hotel than Novotel Rangsit but their breakfast is far better than Your hotel.

I come twice yearly to Bangkok since 7 years, only during pandemic time,I didn't come.
At one point or another, you notice that the hotel is somewhat dated.
5 star hotel past its glory days but still signs of greatness.

We were offered an upgrade to Club room, take it if offered!
Club room but club facilities leave a lot to be desired.
We're looking forward to our second stop later in the month.

I have known this hotel since 2006 and keep staying here.
I feel hotel is abit old but all functions ok.
However, it's worth noting that the property is quite dated.

The atmosphere was lovely, and the service was excellent.
I frequent this hotel many times for work purposes.
Really nice hotel, comfortable sleep and very helpful staff.

We celebrate birthday here for the second time.
Stayed for 10 days during the xmas period.
A hotel that is too large and aging.

Good and comfortable hotel for work and leisure
This was my second stay there after having already spent 8 nights from December 25th to January 2nd, 2025; that tells you how much this establishment has won me over, whether it's for its comfort, its plentiful and delicious breakfast, its ideally accessible location close to all the points of interest in Bangkok (Chatuchak market), Siam Paragon, Icon Siam, the Chao Phraya River, Platunam, Central World, MBK, the royal palaces, etc.
In short, it was a real dilemma not to return after having left for 9 days because I felt so good there that I feared I wouldn’t find the same bubble of comfort in Bangkok again, and yet there are no shortage of comfortable hotels in Bangkok, but the CENTARA GRANDE LADPRAO was my favorite, and I have no regrets about going back, quite the opposite.

The hotel is impressive with its grandeur and the size of its building and facilities. Although the building is old, due to the creativity in the design, you can feel its luxury and beauty along with the arrangement of the rooms and the beauty of its furniture.
We have a trip to Pattaya 2 days before our stay with them and they allowed us to store our luggages without any additional fees in the hotel while we are in our tour.
That said, this hotel remains a solid choice if you're looking for a reasonably priced stay with good food, helpful staff, and easy transit access, even if it’s a bit outside the city.

Staff: What guests say
View Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok537 relevant reviews
Staff are repeatedly praised for being friendly, courteous, attentive, and helpful across reception, dining, housekeeping, and concierge. Guests highlight smooth check-in, thoughtful restaurant service, and practical local recommendations; several mention staff by name for going above and beyond, including helping retrieve a phone. One guest notes a free room upgrade came with twin beds.

Special thanks to Chef Arun and the restaurant manager; Khun A; who always greet us at breakfast and helped us getting the foods we wanted, they were very attentive, polite and made us feel special.
I loved the club lounge experience. Big thanks to Khun Tik, Khun Fah, and Khun Pui for their wonderful service mind and for taking such great care of me.
There was a little bit of a smell from bathroom drain however I often find this in warm countries and not sure how it can be helped.

Special thanks to Khun Puifai, Khun Tik, Khun Saipan, and Khun Su for making our experience even more pleasant with their kindness and dedication.
From the moment we arrived, she was warm, attentive, and thoughtful in ensuring that every detail of our dining experience was perfect.
If you are pure vegetarian, just ask for Chef Arun who will take special care of you with lots of choices...

I met Chef Arun and he was very pleasant and was glad to help me order a dish for me.
I had the pleasure of being served by Airry, who went above and beyond to make our evening special.
The location of this hotel, its amenities, and staff, make it the perfect base to work from in Bangkok.

The staff was of amazing help, especially Sarat made my stay very pleasant with the help he provided.
The very special doorman who remembers my name even after some years away and asks after my wife.
All the staff were lovely, especially Khun Reya, who once again gave me such a warm welcome.

They quickly worked to find an alternative and we still got to the airport on time.
Very very warm welcoming staffs (Miss Air and Mam) always giving good advice for food drinks.
P’Poo, Nann, Tom, Ked, and Ploy were attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the entire visit.

The staff's dedication and efficiency were remarkable, turning a stressful situation into a positive experience.
A special thank you to Khun A and Khun Poo for your exceptional hospitality.
I must add that the service we received from our host Airry was amazing.

Reception did not however amend the system or communicate with the coffee shop staff.
It started from the bellboy, receptionist, housekeepers and the security at the back.
Special thanks to Fong, Pat, and Nuda for their excellent service and hospitality.

Regardless of how many guests there were, the reception and concierge were helpful.
She made sure that we got the right massage for the service.
Service and take care especially Sompak and Srisuda really take care customer.

Housekeeping kept our room cleaned and stocked with fresh bottles of water.
I requested to delay my checkout by just one hour, they informed me that the hotel was fully booked, and when I went to the reception, it was the same response. I opened the Booking site, and most of the rooms were available, and bookings were available with the hotel mostly empty. After that, they said there was no problem with the delay, but I refused and preferred to leave due to the bad treatment. Their bad treatment and lies are something I have not experienced during all my travels... I do not recommend the hotel.
I was very, very disappointed that I forgot my jade ring which is precious to me. I asked to check the room to retrieve my ring. I think the housekeeper stole it, and no one wanted to help me because I don't speak their language, which doesn't help me enough.

Specially Phan save pat the girl from the reception when she told me that I was checking out a day earlier and I was in my way to the airport a day earlier so she saved my life and I am very grateful for her attention
A special mention to a server at breakfast who went out of his way to make me a cappuccino "manually" because the machine only dispensed coffee when I had selected "cappuccino" (there was a problem with the milk dispenser); and to the bellboy who welcomed us.
It is the people who make this hotel so special. Every team member made us feel genuinely valued and cared for throughout our stay. Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail created a truly memorable experience from beginning to end.

Location: What guests say
View Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok433 relevant reviews
A major draw is the direct connection to Central Ladprao, with abundant shops, restaurants, and a supermarket nearby. BTS and MRT stations are a short walk away, and Chatuchak Market, a large park, and Don Mueang Airport are accessible. The hotel is north of central Bangkok, so allow extra travel time to major tourist attractions.

Its ideally accessible location close to all the points of interest in Bangkok (Chatuchak market), Siam Paragon, Icon Siam, the Chao Phraya River, Platunam, Central World, MBK, the royal palaces, etc., the Central shopping center adjacent to CENTARA LADPRAO, where you can easily lunch or dine at will with its myriad of Asian restaurants or dive into an exhilarating shopping experience with its multiple brands if that interests you, but all of that is just one of its many attractive facets in addition to the BTS Sky Train station Ha Yaek Lat Phrao, which provides direct access to CENTARA LADPRAO and the hotel.
Close to Don Mueang airport and can avoid the traffic to the city centre, a huge shopping mall is just next to it where you can find lots of restaurants and shops.
Personally, I found the daily round trip from the hotel to the city and back quite cumbersome, and I would choose a hotel in the city itself next time.

The BTS Skytrain Ha Yaek Lat Phrao station on the green line which is one station away from the large open-air market of Chatuchak at Mo Chit
Business hotel with direct access to the BTS and very close to the MRT, good for moving towards the city center (in about 30 minutes).
The location of the hotel allows easy access to Chatuchak Market for shopping, and MRT and BTS stations for easy travel around Bangkok.

Location is the best! The hotel connected to the mall Central ladprao which is so convenient and have everything for you there
Since it's a bit far from the city center, they couldn't come to pick us up for the bus tour.
You're not far from the train lines, which can take you just about anywhere in Bangkok, and it's cheap.

Good location to the BTS station, making it easy to reach via Skytrain, MRT, and BTS from BKK Suvarnabhumi.
Hotel is very well equipped and in a good location. Close to Central shopping center and rail links.
Walking takes at least 30 minutes, and otherwise, you can reach Jodd Fairs Night Market in 7 minutes.

The location from Suvarnabhumi is a bit far and traffic in Bangkok that is a bit awful.
Good property at a good location with Value for money - Easy of transportation by public transport
The proximity to the metro, the skytrain, and the shopping mall is very close and convenient.

The location, we are far from the main activities, about 40 to 50 minutes by subway
Loved the place as it has easy access to the mall and train station as well.
If your airport is Don Mueang Airport, this hotel will be the best 5-star option.

Hotel location is still good with access to Central shopping mall - good restaurants etc.
We have stayed here a couple of times now because the location is good.
Where you can easily dine with a plethora of Asian restaurants of all kinds

Really love the proximity to BTS/MRT, Central Ladprao and Union Mall, through M floor/carpark.
Great location (linked directly to shopping mall and super close to metro line)
Easy links to skytrain and subway (but only when shopping mall is open).

Centrally located near the BTS, which help access important landmarks in the city
Amongst the shopping at both the Central mall [which was a short walk through the garage], Topps [both the grocery market & food court], the morning street food on the lower level of the garage], the Lotus Market... we not only enjoyed ourselves, but we will also definitely return... and with more baht to spend!!!
Overall I like the location because it is connected to Central Ladprao Mall and another 15 mins walk, there is another mall called Union mall where you can eat out and buy stuff like water etc (although the hotel provide this everyday).

You can also easily and quickly reach the city center with the Skytrain, which you can access on foot and through a covered walkway from the hotel via the adjacent shopping mall (without transfers to the Siam station).
There is a big shopping mall and plenty of restaurants and food stalls on site which I can access from my room by lift to the M floor and walk through the carpark to the 2D door.
In particular, there is a large shopping mall connected to the hotel, and by using the shopping mall to access BTS (Hua Lamphong Station), you can reach Central Mall and MBK Center without transferring at Siam Station.

Rooms: What guests say
View Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok386 relevant reviews
Rooms are most often described as clean, spacious, quiet, comfortable, and well equipped, with good beds, showers, and city views. Some guests report dated furnishings, carpets, or bathrooms, plus occasional bathroom odors, limited hot water, and noisy or overly cold air conditioning; one guest had to change rooms twice over unresolved odor and condensation.

A large sliding door had to be closed to completely shut off the bathroom if either of us used the toilet, as one could be seen sitting on it through the glass which was a bit disconcerting!
After another two days, my girlfriend became so ill from the contaminated air conditioning system that she was hospitalized with a serious respiratory infection, where she had to recover for 5 days.
The curtain beside the bathroom glass wall, makes me feel a little bit awkward if I have to share a room with others who are not my partner.

Room very small . desk in room would peeling off . hotel is at least 40 years old and it shows in the room .
The internal AC would not keep the room cool despite being on HIGH non-stop for 24 hours and set at 17-degrees (lowest setting).
One of the other rooms we booked also had a similar problem but only happened 2 times on the first night.

A mini bar menu was supplied but opening the fridge, nothing at all inside which we found a little odd.
The only downside is the noise from the air conditioning in the room, which is a bit bothersome.
Very important to me, I get the same room every stay, the same that I got last night.

Rooms and carpet appear outdated as if you are in a rundown old strip Las Vegas hotel.
It is a bit old but I think the standard was okay but lower than expected.
If not for the cigarette smell coming from the toilet, the stay would have been perfect.

The AC can be inconsistent at times with the room being hotter than living room.
The pool, the service treatment, in general the facilities, the room, and everything was perfect.
The first room I had was conjoined room which I felt uncomfortable and unsafe.

Once changed to a newer room on a higher floor all was better.
The room's carpet worn out real bad between the bed and bathroom wall.
The room is not as large as the standards of a 5-star hotel

The hotel room was somewhat worn but clean and without strange odors.
When I entered that room, I felt "This is 5 star room".
As well maybe a little bit more lights in the room.

The room looked a little dated, but was spacious and comfortable.
Spacious room and walk to my destination Union Hall under cover.
Rooms are spacious, with all amenities, beds are very comfortable

The working desk and chair are provided in the room.
Our room was well provided with all the usual goodies and an extra special effort with two towel swans making a heart shape and ‘Happy Wedding Anniversary’ written in leaves with a sprinkle of pink flowers on the bed, made us feel a bit special!
I also don't like the open plan style of the bathroom (there's no fixed door for the bathroom which means you can smell and see everything from your bed) there's a huge lack of privacy so bare that in my mind when booking this room.

I don't know how the other rooms are, but in the room we stayed in, when the air conditioning and the bedside light are on, a lot of dust is very visible, especially on the glass table, which makes the dust even more noticeable.
This would wake you up every time because one foyer light would come on, the phones would beep when charging starts, also a beep above the ceiling in the foyer and the A/C temperature would default to 26 degrees and low fan.
Even though there is no inter-connecting rooms, but the entrance to the 2 rooms were diagonally facing each other with a small common area that we can close and lock, functionally like 2 inter-connecting rooms when we keep both doors open.

Breakfast: What guests say
View Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok324 relevant reviews
Breakfast is repeatedly praised for its extensive variety, plentiful buffet, and delicious food, including Thai and Indian options, egg stations, and attentive chefs. Some guests found it crowded and noisy at peak times. Criticisms include limited vegetarian or vegan choices, pork-heavy options that disappointed Muslim guests, and occasional reports of poor quality or unappealing food.

The breakfast was a mess (maybe because it was January 1st), they took a long time to let us in and the juices are from a can and very bad, it's a pity that a country with so much richness in fruit juices does not have natural juices in its buffet (it is a 5-star hotel).
The breakfast is 11/10, it took 5 minutes to run around the breakfast area until you reached the end, so many food types you cant decide what to eat, you end filling 2-3 plates without dessert, not to forget the middle area where they cook you special food.
On one day, there was a large event at the hotel, and the morning after, a quiet breakfast was out of the question; I had to wait quite a long time just to get a table for one person.

You can also have a drink such as any type of coffee and pair it with some sweets, as there are plenty of sweets to choose from.
I particularly enjoyed the breakfast buffet, with all the choices, the iced breakfast drink station, all the staff and especially the amazing assistance from Chef Arun.
The breakfast buffet was amazing but it will be exeed above the expectation if there is a menu rotation for the salad bar.

The breakfast was excellent, with a really diverse selection, from soups and eggs prepared in various ways to desserts and drinks.
Breakfast was a little hectic but i guess that means busy hotel, staff in breakfast room were a bit disorganised.
Buffet breakfast offered wide variety of food and even at the busy times it didn’t feel over crowded.

My daughter said she was getting anxiety about going to breakfast, which I thought was funny.
We had breakfast in the club lounge on 24th floor, there is plenty of choice.
Breakfast - well organised to manage a large number of guests during peak hour

Of course, there are also muesli varieties, salads, fruit, iced coffee/tea, and much more.
Have never seen such a large breakfast buffet, incredibly delicious and definitely recommendable.
The best breakfast I have had yet in a hotel in BKK.

The variety of Thai and international food used to be much better.
Clean, spacious, and breakfasts to cater for all tastes, amazing variety.
The breakfast was extensive and there was something for everyone's taste.

The chef Arun attended to me in very professional manner.
A buffet breakfast so complete that you can't try everything.
Huge breakfast with great variety, many items are freshly prepared!

The breakfast has a very large selection of dishes.
The breakfast offers a wide variety of international options.
The food was exceptional and lots to choose from.

Thanks to Chef Arun and the whole team.
There is a lot of variety for breakfast
So much choice and the fruit was amazing.

Chatuchak Cafe with an excellent Breakfast Buffet.
The high-class breakfast with a welcoming staff.
Great variety for breakfast buffet and dinner.

Restaurant: What guests say
View Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok234 relevant reviews
Guests repeatedly praise the hotel’s varied restaurants for delicious, well-presented food and attentive service, especially Chatuchak Café’s international buffet and the Chinese, Italian, Japanese, and Thai dining options. Several reviews highlight fresh ingredients and accommodating chefs, including vegetarian and Indian dishes. One dinner review reports a confusing ticket system, tiny portions, and cold food; another mentions limited desserts.

The in room dining is such good quality, I have had so many different dishes and have stayed at this hotel I think 5 times now.
Suan Bua Thai Restaurant has had no guests and zero atmosphere since the renovation from a cozy garden restaurant to a lounge-like, impersonal venue.
I didn't eat in the hotel, because for elections was not allowed to drink alcohol and I cannot eat good food without wine.

I ordered a very rare steak and the Chef came to make sure it was exactly as I wanted it.
We order a set meal, so worthy, ms. Pla & a manager who gave us a good food advice..
Also the sky Roof bar is well over priced for what you get and no way worth it.

I would truly consider Suan Bua, the hotel’s Thai restaurant, to be one of the very best.
A special thank you to Ms. Jupaporn for her outstanding hospitality and care throughout our visit.
The Chinese food at Dynasty was even better than what I had in Hong Kong.

Food served during our meetings in the different restaurants of the hotel were also outstanding.
There was something for every palate and everyday was a treat trying something different.
We came for dinner at Blue Sky, and it was truly a wonderful experience.

Indian chef Arun and Mintra take care of guests and serve delicious food!
My favorite was the fresh salad bar and Thai dishes and Indian dishes
For the Buffet dinner its exceptional with so many dishes to order,

The service is superb esp. khun Parn, Khun Eye and Khun Preaw.
The waitress here, Kanittha and Prapaporn was also very attentive and welcoming.
Good restaurants, of which the rooftop restaurant has a fantastic view,

I particularly enjoyed the seafood dishes and the creative signature cocktails.
Chef Arun & Chef Nattapong were excellent—great service, very delicious!
I really recommended fine-dining restaurant nearby highlight spot central Ladprao.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Don Giovanni.
The meat is juicy and the sauce is flavorful.
Would definitely recommend visiting here and would come back!

Each individual had to consume the second free drink.
I recommend the green tea dessert with ginkgo nuts and the shrimp spring rolls with mango sauce, as well as the orange sorbet. They are very tasty, and the desserts are just sweet enough, not overly sweet, including the cream-filled buns as well. The prices are very reasonable too, and the staff provides excellent service.
Thanks to K. Sompak, K. Lamjuan, K. Srisuda, K. Janisata and Chef Tun that made my 7-year old son the super happy boy to host the wonderful and delicious Japanese meal to our big family of 12 people.

Chef Arun is one of the Best chef in the hotel , he makes delicious Indian food and very warm and welcoming :) Must recommend ! A taste of india outside India :)
The hotel has a club where you can eat and drink all day, delicious food and the staff are really cheerful and bright, especially the reception and the Club on the 24th floor
Thank you for the amazing dining experience and excellent customer service from all the staff (especially Khun Pattama and the Male Manager) at Blue Sky Bar and Restaurant.

Facilities: What guests say
View Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok149 relevant reviews
Guests often praised the extensive facilities, cleanliness, and upkeep, including the pool, gym, restaurants, gardens, and welcoming Club Lounge. The rooftop bar and direct mall access stood out. However, the hotel and some furnishings feel dated, with calls for refurbishment and occasional maintenance issues; restaurant and wellness prices were also considered high.

I would also like to add that the hotel has a mall connected and also two night markets (one of it is the famous weekend chatuchak market which the hotel offers free shuttle) so there are still plenty to explore for a more laid back holiday.
The shower and faucet were stiff (rusty?) and did not move smoothly, so it was difficult to adjust the temperature (there was plenty of water, and if you waited a few minutes, hot water would come out, which was satisfying).
It is a decent hotel with good infrastructure, but with improved service quality and better upkeep of facilities, it has the potential to deliver a much more satisfying guest experience.

Not a massive selection, but certainly enough Asian and western dishes and finger food to fill us up without needing to have a full meal in a restaurant.
The swimming pool and fitness center should be expanded and renovated to be larger to accommodate more customers and to be more modern, since it is already 2025
This was our first time using the Club Lounge (24th floor) and it was incredibly impressive – so cozy with a great variety of snacks and drinks.

The hotel has the atmosphere like resort in the city with full facilities of gym, swimming pool, spa, meeting rooms and many high standard restaurants.
We enjoyed the pool, which is on the ground floor, so be prepared for a bit of a trek from your room to the pool.
Although the hotel has a good maintenance, there are some facilities that can not properly work such as air conditioning and lights in the room.

You need a bigger swimming pool and indoor pool as it rains so often and not able to enjoy the facilities, also no steam room
The Club Lounge on the 24th floor was welcoming with cheerful, smiling waitresses and we had a choice of tables overlooking the city.
In the hotel is a great tailor shop for individual, measure to body, suits and shirts with Italian fabrics for 15.000 bhat each.

The plug points are limited, and when looking for them behind the table, you found quite a lot of layers of dust..
The jacuzzi was not heated and only lasted on for 2 minutes with the switch very far from the jacuzzi
However, by late morning on some days, you had to look for sunbeds since they were mostly occupied.

Great hotel , great buffet , friendly staff and great outdoor pool with good sky view.
Theres no really seating area where you can just sit to wait or hang out.
The club lounge is open all day, offering a variety of drinks and food options.

Wifi is only available on the mobile but not strong enough for working laptop.
The location is excellent with easy access to Central shopping Centre and BTS.
The old carpet needs to be changed or replaced with tiles pls

It's just a little outdated. But very well maintained and clean.
The hotel's services, drinks, and restaurants are a bit pricey.
Room services were prompt whenever you asked for one.

This seems to be an excessive overkill in security.
Well maintained grand hotel with 5 star service
The rooftop is not accessible before 6:00 PM.

There is great water pressure in shower
Facilities are excellent as is the location.
It is combined with the shopping center.

Pool: What guests say
View Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok101 relevant reviews
Guests often praise the pool as a clean, relaxing oasis amid greenery, with loungers and a pleasant garden setting. Its size is disputed—some find it large, while others call it small or crowded. Recurring drawbacks include dated facilities, chipped or loose tiles, worn loungers, and occasional shortages of poolside service or sunbeds.

The pool area could benefit from a little maintenance with a few cracked/lose tiles near handrails etc. but overall the pool and large surrounding gardens are a lovely feature and one of the main reasons we booked this hotel.
The swimming pool and fitness center should be expanded and renovated to be larger to accommodate more customers and to be more modern, since it is already 2025
Swimming pool is small and devided into lanes like it is used in sport events, swimming is thereby restricted and not possible to use as in earlier times.

It looks green from the photos, but in reality, the backyard was there and there were no activities while we were there.
We were able to enjoy the pool and the showers in the gym for a late departure to the airport.
I'm bummed that I didnt have time to enjoy the pool area but I would definitely stay here again.

The pool / spa had some debris in them but other than that there's nothing really to fault.
Located near a main highway the air is not too pleasant but that is most of Bangkok anyway.
Swimming lanes in the pool ….. maybe good during Covid but time for them to go now !

The lounge chairs by the pool were already worn out years ago; a reinvestment is urgently needed here.
Sometimes too many group trips, making it loud and some facilities crowded, like the pool and breakfast room.
Lovely pool and sunbathing area with no overcasting shadows from surrounding buildings all day from around 9am.

Unfortunately, there are always people who reserve sunbeds at the pool and only show up after hours.
Over the New Year period, the hotel was well booked and pool chairs were in short supply.
Has a pool, nice to relax after touring the city / although you hear the city noise.

The pool (water) itself was clean but pool had some sharp tiles and cracked areas where ill-repaired.
As mentioned after the last stay, the pool does need some renovation in a few areas.
Pool needs renovation and the water is too hot, it's not pleasant to swim in it.

The pool offers a great tropical vibe that feels miles away from the city bustle.
The swimming pool with the view of the garden contributes to great feeling.
The pool area had plenty of loungers, with some shaded areas too.

The swimming pool was nice but small and still had swimming lanes.
Pool area, loungers weren't the best and could have been cleaner.
The pool area is very green with lots of sunbeds.

There is a good swimming pool in the grounds.
Lounge chairs by the pool are somewhat worn out!!
It is the size of a children's pool.

Great pool area, although a bit dated.
Nice hotel, with a great pool area.
The pool area needs a refresh.

Check-in / Check-out: What guests say
View Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok54 relevant reviews
Check-in and check-out are often described as smooth, quick, and efficient, with staff sometimes granting early check-in or late check-out. Experiences vary: some guests faced long waits or slow service, especially when rooms were not ready or the lobby was busy. A deposit may be required, and one guest reported inflexible handling of a rebooking.

The staff informed me at check-in that my room booking did not include breakfast. There was a promotion to pay an extra thousand baht for breakfast and an upgrade to the room, so I agreed.
Although we had requested that our rooms be as close to each other as possible (five in total) we had rooms on two different floors, which wasn't a deal breaker, just a bummer.
On arrival there was no second bed added for my 5 year old son, even after we made sure at reception when we checked in & proof of booking on booking.com.

The idea of leaving a deposit but good they can take it in foreign currency so you don’t need to suffer to exchange it last minute before flight.
For your information, a deposit of 1000 baht will be required; if in cash, it will be returned upon your departure, if by card, within 15 days.
I requested early checkin at 1300 hrs, since I had to rush for a late lunch but the hotel could not accommodate that request.

Eventually, in the second instance, I found a friendly receptionist who gave us a check-out option for 19:00 (after paying for half a day).
We were also allowed to use the showers in the gym after checking out and after visiting the temples on a very hot day.
In the same day at 1 pm I came down with my reservations still on and I paid in cash and left.

It's especially nice that I was checked in at 9 AM instead of 3 PM as stated, without any extra charge 🙏
Moreover, they were kind enough to give me an hour early check-in when I arrived at the hotel from a long flight.
I would like to thank the front desk lady for an uncomplicated and quick check in, on saturday May 6,at about 2.30pm.

2 points deducted because we communicated with the reception the day before that we would check out at 4 AM.
The lack of cooperation on the day of departure at 6:45 am to take something to eat with us
The asking for a deposit when you have already payed for your stay is a blow below the belt.

Check in and out is good (some time it takes time because just two receptionist and number of guests)
Because of the group tour check in /out, and seminar event are in the hotel at the same time.
I requested in advance that, upon payment of a half day rate, I could check out at 20:00.

It’s better you wait me on the check out I will come to pay the last days only.
We managed to catch a few hours of good night sleep before checking out early next morning.
We then had to call 1 hour later to arrange but all good in the end.

Front desk gave us early check in and late check out so thankyou for that 😊
When I asked the check-in staff, they understood and didn't make me pay the deposit
I unfortunately had to cancel my appointment and fly back earlier in the last days.

The staff were great and checked us in early as our suite was ready.
We don't understand the check-in before 3, if you arrive after you can't enter.
We ended up hastily packing some pastries in a 7-Eleven bag :(

I asked her if possible pay in my checkout the last stay.
The hotel was completely inflexible and passed everything to booking.com.
This time it was the case at check-in.

Spa: What guests say
View Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok43 relevant reviews
Spa Cenvaree is repeatedly praised for skilled, attentive therapists and relaxing massages, with guests highlighting Thai, aromatherapy, hot stone, foot and facial treatments. Therapists often check pressure and avoid rushing; ginger tea and melon are a welcome finishing touch. Less favorable reports mention one below-average aromatherapy session, a cold spa, early closing and expensive prices.

Had an amazing experience here! Sine, the masseuse was attentive and very meticulous in the entire massage. Polite and skilful and making sure the experience was a wholly effective one.
I had the opportunity of getting aromatherapy massage from Sine Mook and I cannot forego mentioning that she was quite diligent, kind and attentive.
We booked some treatments in the spa and I can say that the service, and treatments were amongst some of the best we've had.

Massage with Noi very good. She Is very professional and now the jetlag Is over thanks I Will come back for sure.
The spa cenvaree also has superb quality service (special thanks to massause Mdm Wassama who did my aromatherapy body massage).
Our spa experience was amazing — Nui and Sun are highly skilled therapists who made us feel completely cared for.

They made sure that they are not over doing the massages and asking if the pressure is good enough.
Love the massage service at Spa Cenvaree, Ms. Sun provided excellent treatment and relief my back, shoulder & neck.
A Thai massage by Sine and Mook at Spa Cenvaree is the best experience of my stay!

Our therapists (K. Yong and K. Sun) are super superb!!!! Feel so relax!!! Will definitely come back.
She speaks good English and was very attentive to whether the pressure she was applying was comfortable.
I chose a 2-hour aromatherapy body massage (with a 20% discount) and the treatment was fantastic.

And of course, every visit includes a trip to Spa @ Cenvaree — it never disappoints!
I didn't get a chance to go as all my dinner meetings ended by 10pm +
Sine, a professional therapist has a high skill of massage and a great service mind.

During my last visit, I had the pleasure of being looked after by Miss Sun.
Aromatherapy spa was below average, need to improve ( staff was attentive and helpful)
I had a deep pressure massage on my back and an aromatherapy massage elsewhere.

I would highly recommend giving them a try if you're staying at the hotel.
Nui really helped with her professional and great skills to help me!
I felt rejuvenated and will do it again in the future.

The ambiance was very good and the massage was beyond perfect.
I would like for it to be opened later.
I took 90 mins Swedish after Long flight.

A steam sauna would have been great too.
My masseuse Sine was excellent and very professional.
I highly recommended to check it out

Massive kudos to her, and much love!
The massage provided the best relaxation.
It was cold in the spa.

Gym: What guests say
View Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok33 relevant reviews
Guests often praise the gym as unusually well-equipped, clean, and supported by helpful, professional staff; the pool is also described as tidy. However, the fitness room is small and can feel crowded, with only four treadmills reportedly causing daily waits. One treadmill was also reported out of order across two years.

The swimming pool and fitness center should be expanded and renovated to be larger to accommodate more customers and to be more modern, since it is already 2025
I went to the fitness center and met a staff name Khun Por who gave me advice about weight training and how to used our equipment.
Many guests wanted to use the gym early in morning before breakfast, 4 treadmills were not enough for the demand.

We were able to enjoy the pool and the showers in the gym for a late departure to the airport.
The fitness center and swimming pool are well managed, and the trainers are professional and very helpful.
A defective treadmill last year and still out of order this year in the fitness room.

The gym and sauna were especially great because of their cleanliness and quality machines.
We were also allowed to use the showers in the gym after checking out.
The hotel gym is one of the best in hotels I’ve ever seen.

Took a core class today with Puntsree — she’s an amazing instructor!
Gym facilities could be better & add on Steam Room & Jacuzzi
The gym should be expanded and upgraded, especially with real racing bikes.

The gym, pool, and spa are a great way to recover.
The gym had plenty of options to get a good workout
I waited 10 mins for treadmill to become available everyday.

Energetic, encouraging, and knows exactly when to push her students.
One of the best gyms in a hotel.
The fitness room is okay but rather small.

The pool and gym are super clean.
The gym is surprisingly high-end and well-equipped.
The gym is a little too warm.

Gym has a good range of equipment.
Stretching Class at Centrara Gland Ladpaow
The staff at the fitness room.

Gym and pool opened early.
I really enjoyed the class.
Gym and pool always tidy

The gym is well-equipped.
This hotel deserves it.
Gym is nice

Transport: What guests say
View Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok31 relevant reviews
The hotel connects directly to a mall and nearby BTS/metro stations, making public transport convenient once you find the route. First-time guests reported confusing access and inadequate signage from the car park. Traffic near the entrance can cause delays, and taxi experiences varied; a free shuttle to Chatuchak Market was appreciated, though return transport was not provided.

The taxi returning to the hotel (from the downtown area) had a long wait because the road to the hotel entrance from the main street was blocked by cars entering the shopping center parking lot, making it take a long time (if coming from DMK, it's smooth as you can drive straight in).
They arranged for a taxi early in the morning accurately. It was cheaper and faster to get to our destination than with grab, so I was very grateful for that.
Travelled with young children and found it easy enough to get around all the sights on the bts, which is accessible through the shopping centre joined to the hotel.

There is lacking of signage to direct first time customer where i go( like how to get to the lobby from the the level 2 car park etc.
The taxi called from the hotel was very old, not clean, took a long route, and the service was poor; placed our bags on the floor
It will be great if we can take the shuttle bus back to hotel via the bus sending hotel customers to the market.

Not ideal to arrive on public transport but the access in the shopping centre is great once you find it.
From local transport options like the BTS Skytrain and river boats to tips on using taxis and avoiding tourist traps.
It was very convenient for me to travel by BTS to Ha Yaek Ladprao station to reach the hotel.

We booked a car from the hotel to take us to the airport and the driver was almost asleep.
I was particularly impressed by how clearly and patiently she explained the different ways to get around Bangkok.
Didn’t like organization from car park to hotel reception, took some asking to find as out first time.

They quickly worked to find an alternative and we still got to the airport on time.
It would have been good to inform us of the shuttle services available for tourist purposes.
We booked a taxi to the airport with the hotel for our check out time.

While waiting for the taxi we soon realized that they had forgot to book it.
Great at sorting out taxi to city and advising you how much this should cost,
You need to take a taxi to get to the shops, not walking distance.

Traffic to get to the hotel on the way to parking and hotel confused
Above a parking garage, the hotel is accessible from a mall.
There are hotel shuttles that can send us to the market.

Convenient access to Don Mueang Airport, about 15 minutes by taxi.
The hotel had a shuttle over to the weekend market.
Taxis will increase prices on collection which is standard anywhere.

Connection to mall and train station is very convenient
But we need to come back by our own.
We really appreciated the free shuttle to Chatuchak Market.

Direct access to the mall and BTS station!
The traffic around is a bit tense.
Free shuttle to Chatuchak.

Parking: What guests say
View Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok14 relevant reviews
Parking is a mixed experience: guests value the large, free parking lot and some report easy access or reserved spaces. However, it is shared with the shopping mall, can be very busy, and hotel guests may need to validate their ticket at the lobby each day. Some found parking difficult or poorly explained, though staff and security sometimes helped.

The car park was very busy when we arrived, but a member of staff was able to get us into a space.
You have to park in the mall car park and get your ticket validated at the lobby every day.
They provide parking spaces for customers, so we can come anytime we want — it’s very convenient.

Both hotel and department store using same car park, no reservation for hotel guest.
I could not manage to park my car after driving for long time.
Finally I managed to get car park after called to hotel's call center.

Parking lot for hotel guests at 2nd floor sharing with the shopping mall.
I didn't like walking in the parking lot to the shopping mall.
The presence of a large parking lot is a plus.

Location, staff (reception, concierge and housekeeping), facilities, free parking.
Car parking was a pain and poorly communicated.
There are car come and go very busy.

I'm not satisfied with car park management.
Big thanks to security in the garage.
Car parking is easy to find.

Play attention in the parking lot.
Reserved parking was also available.
Parking was good.

Free parking.
Parking great
