Overall: What guests say
View W Bangkok Hotel213 relevant reviews
Reviews frequently describe W Bangkok as a hip, modern, centrally located hotel with striking architecture, views, high-standard facilities, clean stylish rooms, comfortable beds, and professional, friendly service. Guests repeatedly praise the varied, fresh breakfast and homemade juices and say they would return. A few mention dining or service disappointment.

The fact that basic information sharing between check-in, the restaurant, and the front desk did not occur meant that customers had to prove it themselves and run back and forth, which is hard to accept for a 5-star hotel.
Everything about this hotel is just amazing we loved it so much when we landed in Bangkok that we had to book it again before we flew home.
There are some scuffs here and there, but for this price, considering all the other advantages, you really don't pay attention to such minor details.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the W Hotel in Bangkok, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience.
Even though it was only for one night, everything made us want to come back for a longer stay next time.
The W Bankok has always been my favourite hotel but it can use a little love again in some places.

From the moment you walk through the doors, you can feel the difference compared to many other hotels.
W Bangkok is where style meets vibe, and for most of my stay, they delivered both flawlessly.
And thank you to every single person at W Bangkok who has contributed to this experience.

Everything! We just love the W chain of hotels, it’s just a piece of us really!
I remember her bright smile that made me want to come back to this hotel.
I genuinely thought: “Wow, W Bangkok is actually making sustainability visible to its guests.”

Anyone could always think of something they didn't like, so it's not worth mentioning.
I’m in contact with them over it and shall not Eleni rage too much.
I will definitely be returning to this hotel on future trips to Bangkok.

Thank you to the entire W Bangkok team for another fantastic stay.
Magnificent, welcoming and curated to create the most magical experience for us!
The truth is that the guest experience is created by everyone.

I’d love to come back here again soon! Two thumbs up
We have been on our honeymoon trip, me and my husband.
I was blown away by the interiors of this hotel.

Comfortable with a bit of personality guaranteed at the W
Those people are the ones who create emotional connections.
Highly recommend it for a romantic and comfortable stay.

Definitely will stay here again during my next visit.
My flight is TG471 at 10.30 pm on Monday, 20 July 2026, so being able to enjoy more daylight hours at W Bangkok tomorrow will make I am genuinely excited to enjoy our final day and make the most of the remaining time before our journey home.
A guest sees the message in the restaurant, experiences the initiative personally, learns more about the hotel's sustainability DNA through conversations with the team, and then carries that story beyond the hotel through word of mouth, reviews and social media.

One of the most stylish hotels in town, once stepping foot through the front door you feel that energetic vibe around - the music, the decoration theme, the joyful, professional and helpful young staff all contribute to that.
I believe initiatives such as GO GREEN can become an important part of W Bangkok's wider sustainability legacy and an excellent example of how environmental responsibility, healthy living, guest experience and commercial hospitality can work together.
From the moment my niece and I stepped out of the taxi after a rather enduring journey from Pattaya we were treated like VIPs. This special treatment then continued for the full duration of our stay.

Staff: What guests say
View W Bangkok Hotel318 relevant reviews
Reviews overwhelmingly praise the staff as warm, attentive, proactive, and willing to go beyond expectations. Dodo, Pangpond, Aon, Chompu, and others are singled out for personalized care, language support, restaurant reservations, and dietary accommodations. Recurring negatives include occasional snootiness, overuse of guests’ first names, and one turndown-service communication lapse.

The kind front office girl and the duty manager did their best to make up for that by apologizing and providing something special - thank you ladies, I appreciate you both despite this not being your mistake.
Sun had also assisted us with getting the technician to check on the electrical issues in our room when the lights were flickering, power sockets not working and even moments of blackout.
Staff brilliant can not fault any staff although one I think was new and very nervous you could hear the coffee cups rattling on the way to the table.

The team around the pool are so friendly and welcomed us by our names on almost every visit - not an easy task with so many guests!!
Pinny, the concierge staff, she had given very informative suggestions on the food that we wanted to try but had no time to explore all.
I would especially like to recognise Bi, Aon, Pangpond from the front desk, John from the bar, and Kookkai and Mesa from the lounge.

Khun Boom AFOM, who had already taken such heartfelt care of us on our previous visit, was just as warm and sincere this time.
They took extra care when I fell ill during a business trip and did everything they could to make sure I was comfortable.
A special thanks to Dodo who greeted us warmly every morning, and went beyond to build rapport and spread a positive energy.

What truly stood out was the outstanding service and friendliness of the W Bangkok staff, which surpassed that of any other hotel.
Sincerely wishing Katie all the joy and success in life—may she keep shining brightly and spreading such warmth to every guest!
Each morning, he was present in the Social Room during breakfast, personally ensuring everything was up to the highest standard.

Khun Eton (Assistant Director of F&B) had been checking in and asking about us, which was such a thoughtful gesture.
Even after leaving the hotel, Puen remained helpful, responsive, and attentive, showing sincere care for guests beyond their stay.
They ended up doing something after being reminded but it certainly wasn’t the same as the surprise on arrival.

He was incredibly kind, professional, and helpful—offering amazing recommendations and making sure I felt welcomed at every step.
Crystal at front desk was friendly and she spotted us to do check out at the far end.
They greeted us with welcoming refreshing drinks & introduce us with what W hotel has to offer.

She went above and beyond our expectations to make our stay is as comfortable as possible.
They are definitely the kind of standard where they could bring smiles to their guests everyday.
The greeting by Crystel was great, all of the staff were always very friendly and motivated.

Pangpond made us feel welcomed and well taken care of from the moment we arrived.
Also excellent for and service at the Thai restaurant and bar from Pina and team!
I was surprised as I only just managed to purchase one earlier in the day.

For the money you spend at this hotel, that level of service should be there.
Service in the hotel is really a hit and a miss, and different responses from different staff (like the durian mooncake issue when one staff said it was available and another taking the time to see if it was still available, or when the waiter just tells us that there was no table available but another managed to find a table for us) can make things confusing and doesn't entirely reflect well on the whole.
The exceptional service provided by some of the staff together with the assistance provided by the various assistant managers and general manager Alexander Kellermann (who came over to personally apologise for our experience and also shared his thoughts on the mooncake and which flavours he thought were nicest) to ensure that the rest of our stay remained pleasant more than made up for it.

However, really it was the hits that really makes the stay in the w hotel memorable as some of the staff really go above and beyond what is required and really spend the time checking and clarifying something before saying that something cannot be done or is unavailable.
When i need sewing kit i go down and ask front service agent, her name is Bentz, name sounds like male, is she, i’m little bit weirdo, too much talker, but she answered my detailed question very kindly and warmly with bright smile.
And finally, I would like to say, when you see the GM of the hotel supporting his team during a peak period and clearing tables, that's when you truly know everyone at this hotel puts their guests at the heart of their actions.

Rooms: What guests say
View W Bangkok Hotel230 relevant reviews
Rooms are repeatedly praised as stylish, spacious, clean, well maintained, and exceptionally comfortable, especially the beds, with many rooms offering impressive city views and thoughtful upgrades or decorations. Recurring drawbacks include traffic or train noise, limited bathroom privacy from curtains and glass doors, occasional maintenance issues, and some rooms feeling small or overpriced.

One of eight different W hotels I’ve stayed in around the world… it was very typical W but the fit and finish with the rooms and Hotel unfortunately had a bit of a Thai quality to them and they weren’t up to standard but you would expect for a five star hotel.
Hotel Room was noisy from trains screeching on BTS and felt like a converted office rather than luxury hotel plus room wasn’t cleaned until 6pm (after we got back from busy days out and wanted to relax) on 2 occasions until We complained.
The poor quality fit out. It wasn’t bad per se., but only a design and build company means I pick up with cut corners and the fit and finish just wasn’t up to scratch for a five star hotel.

One aspect to be aware of, which is quite typical for W hotels and more a matter of personal preference, is that the bathroom is almost completely open.
The bathroom can only be separated from the room by a curtain, and the toilet has a transparent glass door, so privacy is practically nonexistent.
The room, and hotel through out, is very well designed and has many items available at the counter and minibar of the room.

The beds were dreamy, and the bathroom was pure luxury: an oversized tub, a stunning shower, and thoughtful high-end details throughout.
Room is spacious, comfy and clean with sufficient water provided, which is nice for replenishment in this hot tropical country.
The rooms were very comfortable, the bathroom and shower were fine, but the highlight was undoubtedly the sensational view.

The room was spacious and the mattress was so good, never slept so good in a hotel.
The rooms are spacious, modern, and immaculately clean, with super comfortable beds and great city views.
The room is huge, clean, and tidy. The shower is large and equipped with everything needed.

We were given a room on the 30th story, offering excellent views of the city.
I stayed in the Spectacular Room, which is spacious with a gorgeous city view.
The room was spacious and we had a lovely view of the city

The beds and pillows are heavenly. You can’t find much better than this!
The room was very well laid out and the bed very comfortable.
Also nice big room, we were lucky getting an upgrade ;-)

The facilities, the staff, the room were all top notch.
Room was comfortable, amazing bed and pillows, fantastic city view.
Loved the comfy bed, city view, and thoughtful amenities.

Room was well presented, good size and well equipped.
Room size was nice, the location was okay.
The decor is blingy but tired and broken.

Booked a King bed wonderful guest room
Room was spacious, great view, nice products.
The beds and pillows were super cozy.

The rooms are very modern and clean.
The hotel itself features excellent rooms
Hotel is dated and carpets stained.

Breakfast: What guests say
View W Bangkok Hotel155 relevant reviews
Breakfast is a major strength: guests repeatedly praise the extensive, fresh, high-quality buffet, rotating dishes, Thai and international choices, Indian options, noodle and salad bars, and made-to-order items. Service is often warm and personalized, though some report reduced selection, average or tasteless dishes, delays, loud seating, and expensive non-inclusive pricing.

Chef Pravin who is the international cuisine chef at their multi cuisine restaurant was kind enough to prepare ala carte menu for our breakfast including the baby as we had an early flight and could not take the breakfast.
This time, Khun Boom AFOM, Khun Pat Group Director of Sales & Catering, Khun Puean (Restaurant Manager), Khun Dodo, and Khun Aoy came by to sing for me and wish me a happy birthday in person.
Hotel breakfast was overpriced and not included in our fare but right around the corner was Not Just Another Cup and we LOVED getting breakfast and smoothies there to start our days.

When I was feeling unwell and didn't go down for breakfast one morning, Puen actually asked my husband who went down alone whether if we (me and my girl) need anything.
Service was a hit and a miss, with some who would take the initiative to ask if there was anything else we required ordering and others who just cleared plates.
Even though the place was very busy, Dodo took time talking to us and made us feel very welcomed in W Hotel - thanks a lot, we will be back!!!

The highlight of this hotel would be the breakfast, which in my opinion, is the best that I have ever had at any hotel that I have stayed at
There are noticeable reductions in selection—most notably, the memorable sweet burnt coconuts are no longer included and have been moved to a paid lunch offering.
One day we requested prepared breakfast for an early departure, they said it could be done and then informed us it was a communication error.

It’s a little pricey for Thailand especially on food and beverage but I suppose that’s to be expected of such a quality hotel.
They have Indian food every day on the breakfast buffet(2-3 items) but on most occasions it was not Indian breakfast food.
Breakfast was ok but definitely not a WOW. Found the things we ordered off the menu were tasteless.

I love the noodle bar and salad bar where they grow their veggies organically in their garden.
An extra indulgence at breakfast was both the buffet, and ala carte menu included in the price.
The breakfast is vast and probably one of the best we’ve had in a larger hotel.

Improvement is required on the Indian ( I was traveling with Indian colleagues) section for breakfast.
The breakfast was sensational but too expensive; we paid 80 € for three of us.
Previously a highlight, the buffet now feels more average compared to other 5-star properties.

A bit disappointing, and reflective of the broader trend of less included value.
Oh, and a magnificent breakfast buffet - top quality all the way.
Not a bad breakfast, needs improvement in terms of variety and abundance.

The breakfast buffet was spacious and had a terrace as well.
The best breakfast I have ever had at a hotel
In other W Hotels, the breakfast was minimally better

Enormous and delicious breakfast buffet, really a must-try.
The breakfast was the highlight of our trip.
The food exceptional and a fantastic variety.

Each morning we had different dishes.
Breakfast was nice and enough options.
Very comfortable beds and superb breakfast

Location: What guests say
View W Bangkok Hotel150 relevant reviews
W Bangkok is repeatedly praised for its location beside Chong Nonsi BTS and near St. Louis station, enabling easy citywide travel despite Bangkok traffic. Guests mention nearby restaurants, cafés, nightlife, Silom, Mahanakhon Tower, and local attractions. Some find the neighborhood less lively or the hotel farther from major malls and tourist sights.

We greatly enjoyed our stay and would strongly recommend the hotel to anyone who is considering staying at an area that isn't too expensive but also close enough to the bts and the shopping district of siam area where luxury hotel prices can get very high.
This was our 2nd stay at the w Bangkok, which is conveniently located a short walk away from chong nonsi station, which is also just 3 stops away from siam paragon via bts.
The hotel is walkable to Sala daeng (and onwards to Silom/central park mall/dusit park/lumphini park) area, so it is in a very lively part of town with lots of street food available.

We were a bit outside of the areas we wanted to explore so we probably spent some extra $ by staying here on cab fare over the trip but it wasn’t bad.
For those who want to use the BTS, this is the perfect place. You can quickly get to the train station and pass by a 7-Eleven or Starbucks in the neighboring building.
The hotel is directly connected to one BTS station and another one is within walking distance, which is extremely useful since traffic in this part of Bangkok can get quite intense.

That simple gesture led to one of my most beautiful Bangkok moments: watching monks in their saffron robes collecting morning provisions, the city's spiritual rhythm unfolding over exceptional coffee.
The hotel sits perfectly between St. Louis and Chong Nonsi BTS stations, making it easily accessible—especially handy when the weather turns rainy, as Chong Nonsi provides a convenient route.
Two BTS stations are very close to the hotel .. as is Arabica coffee on the 55th floor of the Empire Building, be sure to check it out.

Within a 5-minute walk from the hotel, there are several high-quality coffee shops, bars, and restaurants that offer a good variety of food and drinks.
The neighborhood is a bit sterile, i was expecting a bit more lively restaurant / club / park scene from the description.
The location is also extremely good with 7 eleven in hotel premises and major shopping malls and restaurants nearby.

Restaurant, train station, and all the shops are not in working distance, need to use cab to reach.
Literally just around the corner, a skyscraper with a panoramic floor is a 5-minute walk away.
There is a small portion between the hotel and Sathorn Square that is not sheltered.

A convenience store (7-11), a pharmacy and cafes including Starbucks are at Sathorn Square.
The hotel is perfectly located, with the Skytrain station right across the street.
The hotel is also just a 15-20 min walk to the Silom area

Very close to sky train and easy to explore the city from here!
We mostly had to take a taxi but that was no problem.
Not that close to the malls, need to still get a taxi.

Compared to the areas closer to BTS, it is not as noisy.
Everything was perfect very close to the centre of downtown Bangkok.
Location is centralized with a short walk to the metro.

Great location was great, close to restaurants and nightlife.
Location is also well located, in the business district.
The Mahanakon Tower is just around the corner.

Good location if you shop near CentralWOrld area.
Conveniently located next to the train station.
The location of the hotel is perfect.

Pool: What guests say
View W Bangkok Hotel87 relevant reviews
The stylish rooftop pool is repeatedly praised for its 24/7 access, sunshine, attractive setting, lounge chairs, DJ atmosphere, pool bar, and friendly staff. However, many guests find it small, cramped, oddly laid out, and sometimes cold, with occasional poor service, aging furniture, disrepair, or temporary closure for cleaning.

Although the pool was great and the bar service was good, the fact remains that the pool is in disrepair and the lounge chairs are old and used to their end.
I'm definitely not a pool guy, but from the looks of this pool and the services being offered, I will definitely make an exception the next time I come!
If you’re looking for the perfect place to chill, enjoy a refreshing (and beautifully cold) swim, have the best drinks, and great conversations, this is absolutely the spot.

It was a bit disappointing that I couldn't use the swimming pool in the last 24 hours of my stay because it had been cleaned.
The W hotel also lacked any outdoor evening space - the area signposted as the lounge was simply a collection of gazebos with no seating!
It feels more like a stylish place to relax rather than a pool meant for proper lap swimming, but it’s still a pleasant space.

However, I understand it's necessary, and I was indeed offered a chance to use the swimming pool in another hotel, if I wanted to.
There were also the free Solar Plunge experiences weekly on Sunday at the pool, which was perfect to me for some after-sport recovery.
The pool bar serves excellent foods and drinks, our softshell crab springrolls have the chewy texture that I had never experienced elsewhere.

Pool was closed for a party and only notified 48hrs beforehand, was offered use of other hotel and free transport there.
The gym (with Technogym equipment) and the WET deck pool remain standout amenities, just as impressive as our last stay.
Loved my time at The W Hotel Bangkok — huge shoutout to Anil and Mr. Gunz at the rooftop pool!

There were a few things looking a little worn and in need of repair, including missing tiles around the pool.
The 24-hour swimming pool is stylish and perfect for taking wonderful photos, adding plenty of fun to our trip.
Lastly, don’t miss out on exploring the historic House of Sathorn and indulging in the stunning signature swimming pool.

Really great pool. When there are several people in and around the pool, it quickly gets crowded and lively.
The pool staff told us the pool is shaped like a cat eye 🐱👀 when viewed from above.
The staff at the swimming pool, sauna, and fitness center were almost perfect in their service and facilities.

“Shadow” was very helpful around the wet deck pool assisting us with family bits when we visited.
They were not enjoyable to look at and not what was expected from a W Hotel.
The service from the staff was well below the W standard and badly managed.

The pool is small and difficult to enjoy due to its eccentric layout.
The pool is okay, however very small and the water very cold.
We stayed over Songkran and the Splash pool party was amazing.

The pool is small compared to similar hotels in Bangkok.
Pool was out of action for the next day
The pool was cosy and very nice.

Great drinks great burger great vibe.
Relaxing day spent by the pool
The pool area was just beautiful.

Facilities: What guests say
View W Bangkok Hotel68 relevant reviews
Guests consistently praise the stylish, clean, well-maintained facilities, excellent gym, comfortable beds, distinctive dining, and attractive pool atmosphere. Recurring drawbacks include a small pool, long and crowded elevator waits, expensive food and drinks, limited lobby space, and occasional spa/jacuzzi maintenance or temperature problems.

Only quirk with our stay is that waiting for the elevators takes a very long time (only four elevators serving the whole building, and the staff also use this elevator).
I also noticed the “GO GREEN” initiative and the healthy menu options during my stay, and I have to say, I was genuinely impressed.
The pool was boring, the food sucked, the sauna, spa and steamroom were barely warm, and the spa had no pressure in the jets.

Haha, perhaps not everything was fully understood, but there is a console next to the nightstand that you use to control all the lights.
I thought it was such a beautiful example of how W Bangkok translates sustainability and wellbeing into something tangible and visible to guests.
The pool, with fun floaties, great view, and fun regular events like the ice plunge and the sun chasers pool party

From the lobby to the corridor leading to the elevator, to the corridor of the room, it is all relatively narrow
Also, we need to tap the card to go up to the designated floor but the process is not always smooth.
The facilities are excellent, and the beds and pillows are among the most comfortable I have experienced in any hotel.

There were also moments where the lift could not register the key cards, though this was a much smaller problem.
The buffet is incredible, really unique options available and would satiate a foodie looking for a bit of difference.
The ground floor of the hotel has air conditioning however the lifts don’t have it and are uncomfortably hot.

This hotel is simply fantastic in terms of location and amenities; I will definitely visit this hotel again.
Everything is great quality and lots of small but noticeable details that make the experience beyond just good.
Prefer to have more professional looking shower gel, shampoo bottles given the “high class” feels of the hotel.

There is a Michelin Star restaurant on campus which we did not try but heard good reviews.
The aircon in general public areas make it seem like you’re in a fridge haha but nothing.
I’m sure Davines is a good brand, focused on sustainability but I find the bottles cheap looking.

The hotel features sleek, modern installations, excellent facilities, and a very high level of cleanliness throughout.
We visited the bar which is set in a traditional colonial Thai house in the grounds.
From the lively common areas to the relaxing amenities, everything felt thoughtfully curated and high quality.

There was one time the lift had problem with me and 2 other passengers in it.
The bar in the lobby was very boring with not much entertainment in the hotel.
A long wait for food by the pool and room service to the room

We enjoyed our stay at W Bangkok, facilities and staff were excellent.
The hotel facilities were equally impressive, offering both style and comfort.
The snack menu was very contemporary and fusion.

Very inexpensive in room dining and mini bar.
The temperature in the lobby is very cool
The light feature infront of the elevators.

Restaurant: What guests say
View W Bangkok Hotel63 relevant reviews
Dining is generally praised, especially Paii, The House on Sathorn, Japanese offerings, cocktails, breakfast, and flavorful dishes such as green curry, pasta, sliders, and seafood fried rice. Service can be warm and memorable, but prices are high and experiences are inconsistent, with reports of chewy lobster, unripe mango, slow service, and early kitchen closures.

When we went to order two of the same cocktail at once however, the response was "sorry you cant order that as there is no sharing allowed"… we tried several times to understand what they meant but couldn’t figure it out and ended up grabbing a cocktail at another bar down the road.
The food was excellent and we enjoyed it very much, and we're extremely grateful that the female staff managed to get us a place at the buffet as we were checking out the next day.
However, upon checking, I found out that coffee had an additional charge, and there was no prior information about it, which made me feel like I was being led to place an unwanted extra order.

And while you’re here, don’t miss The House on Sathorn @barsathorn , lead by talented bartender @marcodongi - a stunning heritage mansion turned into a restaurant and bar or having lunch/ dinner at Paii.
I arrived at the restaurant at the scheduled time and was guided to my seat, but during the ordering process, the staff refused by saying, 'This is not a dinner included reservation.'
As I was finishing my meal, a male staff member approached and asked, 'Would you like tea or coffee?' so I ordered an iced Americano thinking it was included in the service.

I wanted to give an order at 9:45 PM and I was refused because it was closing even though it was normally stated that the restaurant was open until 10:30 PM
Special thanks to Khun Opal (Restaurant Manager) and the amazing team who prepared a surprise birthday cake moment along with a signature cocktail that was not only stunning but delicious.
In particular, the response from the restaurant staff showed a lack of respect for the customers, and I could understand why there were so few guests in the restaurant.

Had dinner at W Bangkok’s Coffee House and we were served by *Four* — she was super friendly and attentive, always checking if we were okay.
Only after I went back down to the front desk to reconfirm the reservation details did the front desk staff contact the restaurant to rectify it.
Although we originally reserved for 7:00 PM, we ended up lingering a bit longer by the pool, enjoying cold beers and the perfect evening breeze.

Later, we found out that Khun Eton (Assistant Director of F&B) had been checking in and asking about us, which was such a thoughtful gesture.
We found it disappointing that we were not allowed to visit different dining venues (bar and restaurant/bar inside) at certain times with our 11-year-old daughter.
The nearby old colonial building (part of the hotel) where you can go for a cocktail or something to eat is a delight.

A nice additional plus is that the Nobu restaurant is located right next door, so you can easily walk there for dinner.
Since it was a business trip, I did not venture out for food, and had lunch and dinner at the Kitchen Table.
When I mentioned this to the front desk, hoping for the service recovery W is usually known for, the response fell flat.

Enjoyed the food in the main coffee shop restaurant too which has a very nice breakfast, and lunch too.
We went for their buffet lunch and despite not reserving a table, we managed to get a sit.
The bar had very a unusual promotion: "Two (approved) drinks for the price of one during happy hour."

3. There is a wonderful restaurant in the hotel courtyard - cozy and with a good menu
The restaurant felt more like a living room where guests and staff mingle and socialize.
The dining experience was especially memorable thanks to Dodo, the waitress at the restaurant.

Superb Great Restaurant the House of Sothorn , Best Thai Food in Town ..
Very much enjoyed bar and restaurant at House on Sathorn(next door)..... highly recommended.
The bar in the lobby has always been a feature of W

It gave our entire trip in Bangkok a very vibrant night.
At the restaurant, I cannot say enough about Dodos.
The restaurant/bar was waiting staff was not good.

Check-in / Check-out: What guests say
View W Bangkok Hotel45 relevant reviews
Check-in and check-out are often described as smooth, efficient, warm, and attentive, with some guests receiving early check-in, upgrades, or complimentary late checkout. Recurring negatives include long or messy procedures, reservation and payment errors, unclear information, language barriers, rude receptionists, malfunctioning keys, and denied late-checkout requests.

When I asked for an explanation at the front desk during checkout, they said there was a spark from the external power source, but if that were the case, the same thing should happen in other rooms too, so it was clearly not just an issue with my room, and I could not accept that explanation at all.
We were allowed to check-in as soon as our booking was confirmed and was offered an upgrade to a suite due to some defects in our room, although this took about 4 hours to confirm and by then it was late in the evening at 2200.
The worse part was the receptionist: the Lady was very rude, tried to charge my card way more than what I had to pay (considering room rate and deposit) and didn’t greet me as an old time customer, literally a very unfriendly approach.

We pre-paid for our booking through booking.com a few weeks in advance to staying here however, when we checked out we then had to pay the full price of the hotel again!
After the room assignment, I had to personally go back to the front desk to inquire, and only then was I finally informed that dinner was included and available from 5:30 PM.
And when I enquired about where I can take ATK self test before leaving Bangkok, she replied as though it is no longer the hotel’s responsibility since I’m not staying with them.

From the moment I checked in, the staff were welcoming and attentive—especially during check-in, where their warmth set the tone for the rest of my visit- was handled by Aye.
Even though I only stayed for 2 nights, the hotel could do better by giving me ample advice especially during times of Covid where travel procedures are so messy.
Without us explaining her medical condition, one of the W Amsterdam Heartists seemed to instinctively notice that she was tired and offered her a seat while we waited.

There was a language barrier with the reception staff so did not understand what we were trying to say.. wouldn’t stay at this hotel again because of this!
The omission of information regarding dinner inclusion at check-in, despite the reservation confirmation clearly stating that dinner was included, was completely unmentioned by the front desk at all.
When our room wasn’t ready by 3:30pm, Nurse immediately explained the situation and kindly converted the Platinum welcome breakfast into points, while still offering breakfast to us.

I asked what I should do with my 5th day ATK self test, the receptionist wasn’t too sure how to upload results to Morchana app.
We faced an issue with the air conditioning at the time of check in but was rectified as soon as we informed the staff.
Upgraded without asking because of our Marriott status and preference in a quiet location already organised upon check in - Thank You!

Initially, I had planned to check out on the 11th and return to Japan, but due to work, I extended my stay.
As a SHA Plus hotel, I would have expected all staff to be well informed & helpful as ambassadors of Bangkok.
Even on the day of my checkout, she took care of me with a warm smile, which I deeply appreciate.

At one point, I was locked out of my room due to a misunderstanding about extending the length of stay.
Faustine handled check-out smoothly and remembered my mother’s birthday (even speak Taiwanese to my mom, what a lovely surprise).
Our flight was delayed to midnight, we requested to check out at 4:00 PM and our request was denied.

I once progressed into management without a traditional supervisor role and became an Associate Director in my mid-twenties.
My check in was fantastic, helped by Aye at the desk, and I had all my questions answered.
I arrived early, before official check-in, and a thoughtful front desk attendant didn't just process my early arrival.

Upon checking in, although w/a little hiccup, everything else for the next 2 nights were beyond pleasant.
From the moment we checked in, the service felt warm yet professional.
From check in to checkout and every thing in between.

The staff wasn’t pleasing on the day we checked in
Very messy process of check in and check out.
Everything was excellent I would say until check out.

Gym: What guests say
View W Bangkok Hotel28 relevant reviews
The gym is generally praised for modern, well-maintained or premium equipment, with Technogym machines, cooling towels, ginger water, and 24/7 access noted. However, several guests find it small for the hotel and crowded at peak times; equipment variety and maintenance can be limited, while cleanliness, changing facilities, and occasional closure are concerns.

The gym is surprisingly small considering the size of the hotel and can get quite crowded at peak times, although the machines are very new and well maintained.
No hygiene practices guests no shoes, no shirts I was the only one that used a towel and sanitized the equipment after use.
The gym (with Technogym equipment) and the WET deck pool remain standout amenities, just as impressive as our last stay.

My son used the fitness but mentioned it was a bit small for such a big hotel with many guests.
The machines in the gym could be more varied, there were two treadmills in operation and one under maintenance.
Gym is well quipped with premium machines, cooling towels and chilled refreshing ginger water for recovery.

Although advised not supervised a simple check would be helpful as staff are within 10 meters.
Unfortunately the gym was closed but they let us use the one from the Standard nearby.
Big thank you to Anil who took very good care of me in the gym.

The gym was nice and cool and up to date with the latest equipment.
Cleanliness and modern design makes a beautiful rooms from Pool, to gym and dining.
The gym and pool are perfect for relaxing or staying active during your stay.

I really appreciated the gym being open all night because of my jet lag.
We booked the day pass to use the pool and gym.
A gym (larger and with more equipment than most hotel gyms)

Gym are equipped with very good equipments for great fitness workout.
The gym has all the machines you could possible need.
Room, Pool, Gym and Spa is all is very good.

On positive side the gym and pool are nice.
Gym/pool has no proper changing room or shower facilities.
The gym is fantastic for a hotel gym.

Sadly this was a let down again.
The gym was sufficiently equipped.
Great rooms, gym & pool.

Well equipped with fitness,
Great gym and amenities.
A good gym

Gym well equipped.
Large clean gym.
Nice gym

Spa: What guests say
View W Bangkok Hotel23 relevant reviews
Guests repeatedly praise the spa as relaxing and well maintained, with excellent massages, sauna, steam room, hammam, jacuzzi, pool, and convenient complimentary use for showering before late flights. However, the jacuzzi was repeatedly out of order, some guests disliked female staff entering men’s facilities, and treatment variety and Bliss products were limited.

Joyce, Ao, Pim and Yo did an amazing job on making me feel special ans relaxed for my birthday jubilee spa treatment at W Away Spa Bangkok.
The Jacuzzi was not working ( didn’t work in March either) I told the staff that contacted maintenance who said this is the way it should be.
The attention on departure day allowed us to use the Spa to shower and whatever we needed at no charge

Being able to use the spa facilities to change in the evening just before our late night flight
It’s a bit uncomfortable having female staff wander into the men’s spa rooms/changing facilities on frequent occasions.
Together with the great breakfast and amenities (lounge, pool, spa) made it to a very pleasant staying.

Next day they called me as said the jacuzzi was out of order until further notice.
They agreed that it didn’t work and they would call me when it was fixed.
Spa was ok, I would've wanted more variety of treatments like pool, wrap, etc.

The spa with sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and hamman room is awesome.
I also spent sometime at the in-hotel spa which was delightful.
And all the way there with massages for men from men

Room, Pool, Gym and Spa is all is very good.
Unfortunately we haven’t been told of the Hammam and Spa.
Sauna and steam lovely after travelling all day

Incredible Spa & Pool Experience at W Bangkok
I highly recommend the services and hotel.
Had a good massage in the wellness.

The pool and spa facilities are wonderful
Especially at the spa and pool area.
Everything was beautiful, relaxing, and perfectly maintained.

My biggest disappointment, no more Bliss products.

Transport: What guests say
View W Bangkok Hotel14 relevant reviews
Transport is a strong point: BTS/metro stations are about a 2-minute walk or two blocks away, making city travel easy, while Grab and taxis are generally convenient. The hotel’s reasonably priced airport pickup is repeatedly praised, though freeway traffic can sometimes make taxis difficult to obtain.

As the hotel is right next to the freeway there is a lot of traffic so getting taxis can be an issue at times.
It was always easy to get a Grab/taxi directly to/from the hotel (other locations in Bangkok can sometimes be gridlocked with traffic).
There were no issues also to arrange pickup from the airport, so easy and steady free with details on where to meet.

I paid to be collected from the airport which was such a seamless experience and very welcomed after a long flight.
Basically between two stops on the BTS (Saint Louis and Chong Nonsi) so getting around the city was a breeze.
About a 2-minute walk from the hotel there is a train station from which you can reach the whole city.

The hotel also offers a top-notch airport pickup service at a reasonable price, which adds comfort and convenience.
A Grab will take you to the places of interest relatively quickly (Bangkok’s traffic is pretty heavy).
Airport transfer was also available and we used it on the way in.

A shuttle to the airport wouldn't be a bad idea.
But we used Grab due to the convenience.
There is a metro station 2 blocks away.

It is also super convenient transport-wise.
Very close the BTS station
Easy access to BTS stations.

We used taxis.
Close to transport.
