Guests repeatedly praise the beautiful design, comfortable rooms, excellent service, strong location, impressive pool, and exceptional breakfast. Recurring drawbacks include a small gym, unusual two-lobby layout, room-maintenance and operational inconsistencies, overpowering fragrance, and concerns about value at high rates. One recent review alleges an incorrect 1,400-baht charge at checkout.

Honestly, if you’re not giving a five star review of this exceptional property then you are living in a parallel universe or, more likely, you have such inflated expectations that you are sadly numb to warm, attentive and uniquely Thai hospitality.
In retrospect, the employee escorting me to my room repeatedly missing the elevator — because neither of us could actually tell which elevator had arrived — turned out to be an apt preview of the entire stay.
As a long-time Hilton Honors Diamond member and someone who booked this stay through the AMEX Fine Hotels & Resorts (FHR) program for a special birthday celebration, I had high expectations for the Waldorf Astoria Bangkok.

Without trying at all to bignote, i've stayed at over 1700 hotels for both work and pleasure over the years and this hotel is about as close to perfect as it gets.
This trip was a milestone anniversary which was fore mentioned upon booking and honestly, the half hearted gesture only came to fruition after I did my initial review with Expedia.
While the location and breakfast are strong, hotel room is clean, the operational inconsistencies and room maintenance issues do not match the pricing or five-star positioning.

They did come through with a Happy anniversary balloon and mango sticky rice but really, the surprise element moment was gone on day 1.
1400 baht is not much but it is the principle and that you don’t expect this shady practice from a Waldorf.
I will definitely not be recommending this hotel to anyone and would not stay here even if you paid me.

Waldorf Astoria Bangkok beautifully blends Art Deco elegance with Thai cultural elements, creating a warm and luxurious atmosphere.
When entering a Waldorf Astoria, I feel calm - with the atmosphere being spacious, luxurious, and modern.
Good, friendly service, I would definitely stay here again when I need a hotel in Bangkok.

Great hospitable team & very delicious food prepared with ((Fine Ingredients)), served by Top guys.
This is how a five star hotel scammed us for the equivalent of $50.
Thank you to everyone at the Waldorf Astoria for another truly memorable stay.

10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a luxury getaway in Bangkok!
I have been to many WAs worldwide, none compare to this place.
Our stay at the Waldorf Astoria Bangkok was perfect in every respect.

I want to mention first and foremost the breakfast server Am.
Would I pay thousands of dollars to come here again? Never.
It has a lot of charms for a large chain hotel.

Luxurious, quiet opulence with unrivalled service and food! Top-notch 5-star!!
Overall hotel felt so quiet with not much noise issue.
No alternative rooms were available — until they were.

Unfortunately, my experience was far from what I anticipated.
Incredible concierge services, impeccable rooms, great restaurants and bar.
Great quiet hotel with not too many guests.

Enjoyed my stay and will visit again.
Look forward to my next stay here!
I should have gone to Shangri La.

Staff: What guests say
View Waldorf Astoria Bangkok152 relevant reviews
Staff are most often described as warm, professional, attentive, and consistently helpful across front desk, restaurants, concierge, and housekeeping, with personalized touches such as remembering names and preferences. Nobel receives exceptional praise. However, some guests report slow communication, cold front-desk interactions, inflexible service, inconsistent elite-benefit recognition, and rooms not ready at 2pm.

You have to ask for everything - for a hotel that is so expensive - 600 dollars a night - there is no shaver, no comb, alot of amenities are deliberately left out and you have to keep calling for it - which should not be the case.
The service is . . . . can you be Six Star? Kuhn Nopparat, Kuhn Tawanchai, Kuhn Yameera and particularly Kuhn Mai (who has a brain tantamount to Einstein's) all make me feel . . . . well, MUCH better than a guy like me deserves!
But I just must come back to the staff. All of them are superb and, sitting writing this at the airport just prior to heading home, I cannot thank them enough - ALL of them - for providing us with such an experience.

We also had the pleasure of meeting the food and beverage manager, such a friendly person — we discovered we grew up a stone’s throw from each other, him on the Dutch side of the border and me on the German side.
I'm not sure there was an instance in a public area where we had to open a door ourselves as staff were already there ready to do so.
They did prepare the room after we arrived as a honeymoon special decor and mentioned we would be expecting a cake, but never got it.

Special thanks to K. Giib for taking care of my room preferences—service that truly lived up to the hotel’s luxury vibe 💫
To basically accuse or rather warn us not to take the aesop amenities left such a bad taste in our mouth.
Everyone in the hotel was an absolutely superstar in making our experience here the best we have had in bangkok.

Be more careful when staff call and be mindful not to call at midnight unless life and death situations.
We asked for newspapers and were told no hardcopy- so much for personalised service & anticipating your needs.
Thank you so much Ms. Luna, Khun Nathana(Jib), and Waldorf Astoria staffs for your hospitality ka 🙏.

The staff goes out of their way to make the stay feel personal rather than transactional.
Special mention to Liew (sommelier) in The Loft bar - very friendly and super knowledgeable.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I look forward to your response.

When I mentioned that They said I can have nice view when I swim....
We did not feel the fantastic service levels as some other customers had.
We received a honeymoon cake, which was a thoughtful gesture and appreciated.

From arrival to departure, the service was consistently attentive and professional.
The staff are nice to welcome and give the sweetest service.
Dining experiences were handled professionally by Mel, Dunk and First.

Staff was real friendly and helpful with the top service.
Not the standard of other hotels in the area.
Staff is amazing, the service incredible, especially for breakfast.

Will even negotiate with the cab driver for you
Even though I had only mentioned Ms. Luna.
What impressed us most is Ms Kapook's initiative.

We were greated by a couple staffs.
A Luxury hotel with great staff.
The staff were courteous and helpful.

Rooms: What guests say
View Waldorf Astoria Bangkok130 relevant reviews
Rooms are repeatedly described as spacious, beautifully designed, clean, quiet, and comfortable, with excellent beds, bathrooms, amenities, and skyline views; upgrades can be exceptional. Recurring concerns include disappointing or misleading views, shower water pooling or lacking separation, occasional mildew, fragrance, maintenance defects, and one cockroach report. Baby equipment is notably high quality.

The bathroom soap/shampoo/hand wash etc are in huge bottles - which is really not hygienic - you really have no idea how the previous guests in the room use the moisturizers etc or if they added anything into those bottles - either secure the bottles so they cannot be opened by anyone except the staff or just provide small travel size bottles that for a guest's peace of mind - you know for sure that the bathroom amenities are not tampered with.
The rooms were properly segregated with the luggage being places near the walkway from the bath to the toilet, so when i get ready, did not have to scurry around the room waking up my partner as everything is done inside the toilet area which was very comfortable and brightly lit.
If the category description states "Park View," then guests should actually have a park view and not have to go close to the window that they actually can catch a glimpse of a small part of the park to the right.

In my previous visit, I found that the absence of a door created unwanted loss of heat & steam from the shower since it was an open area all the way to the bedroom itself resulting in chilly showers!
The room was kept spotless, housekeeping did an excellent job and it felt like every time we left the room and came back, it had been cleaned again, yet we never saw housekeeping during our stay.
I was later moved again due to a pronounced damp/mildew odor in the first room, and then again to another room where the issue shifted from mildew to overpowering air freshener.

There are too many high tech gadgets and it takes time to figure out how to sort out the lighting the curtains etc - it is not userfriendly or elderly friendly.
I had to receive help from a maintenance employee to reach the plug-ins due to my disability, and even then, they weren’t universal or USB, if I recall correctly.
We used our Hilton Honors points and Diamond status to stay in the Astoria Suite at this hotel and the experience was exceptional from start to finish.

The bathroom amenities are sorely lacking - no comb even?? We should not have to call or ask for anything in a real 5 star hotel.
Our room was stunning, featuring a huge bathroom, a separate WC, a rainfall shower, and a bathtub that was basically a mini swimming pool.
But despite its 50sqm, there is not a lot of empty spaces in the room itself due to the choice of furniture and placing.

Right now, there are two mirrors, a large one above the two sinks and vanity & a full length one at the side.
As part of our babymoon, the hotel prepared a lovely surprise for us in the room, which was such a thoughtful touch.
The room I was given was small and poorly designed, with bulky furniture that made it difficult to move around comfortably.

For rooms that cost so much compared to other hotels in Bangkok - the mini bar is NOT complimentary.
Every detail felt luxurious, from the plush bedding to the elegant bathroom amenities and the breathtaking city view.
The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and offered the amenities you’d expect from a luxury five-star hotel.

There are no cloth or floor mat by the bedside where the slippers are placed at turndown.
Despite my having turned the climate controls off before bed, the room became uncomfortably cold overnight.
No view and outdated furniture in the deluxe rooms at a price of 400 EUR/night.

The flooded room is 614 and I think there is something wrong with the bathroom.
I had to have the blinds drawn in the room most of the time.
This slightly marred our arrival, but it was resolved extremely professionally and courteously.

I had expected and pre-requested a more pleasant view, but nothing was considered.
I am not sure about is the room that I only stay.
Comfortable room but wish there is a sofa or really comfy chair.

But It was horrible view cannot think this is Waldorf Astoria.
Both the bathroom and the tea/minibar set-up are ridiculously classy.
You never hear them in the hallway outside your rooms.

Location: What guests say
View Waldorf Astoria Bangkok96 relevant reviews
The hotel is centrally located in Bangkok’s main shopping and dining district, with CentralWorld, Siam Paragon, Gaysorn, Erawan Shrine, and BTS stations walkable. Guests praise convenience and a peaceful interior, but heavy traffic can slow journeys, while nearby construction has caused noise and blocked park views for some rooms.

The location was also great—it’s very close to CentralWorld and the MRT, both within walking distance. Of course, traffic in Bangkok can be really mind blown during peak hours (especially when people are heading home)
The Waldorf-Astoria Bangkok, located in Ratchadamri, one of Bangkok's most prestigious and important neighborhoods with endless shopping and dining options, numerous religious sites as well as very convenient walking and public transportation options.
Despite changes to its surroundings (blocked views) resulting in a huge loss of open park views from the south side of the building, affecting many south facing rooms and particularly the rooftop pool.

Situated in the heart of Bangkok, it’s within walking distance of several high-end shopping destinations like CentralWorld and Siam Paragon making it incredibly convenient whether you’re visiting for leisure or family travel.
The hotel's location is also very convenient, with easy access to shopping, restaurants, and many of the city's attractions, while still feeling like a peaceful retreat from the busy streets outside.
Whilst it has unfortunately taken some of the sweeping park views away from many of the rooms, it otherwise did not have an impact on our stay.

Across Ratchadamri Road is a vast sports club and green space…not open to the public I don’t think, but still neat to admire from the hotel.
The location is super convenient near BTS station and shopping malls where we spent most of our time given it was really hot during the day.
The room to the location was amazing, you wouldn’t need a taxi honestly as you got almost 3 super malls right next to the hotel.

Amazing hotel in Bangkok, located in one of the best area, just next to Lumpini park and the golf area, foot distance from BTS.
Not easy to find as the entrance is not facing the main road and the sign is too subtle, bronze lettering on bronze background.
The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Bangkok, with easy access to shopping, dining, and everything the city has to offer.

My stay at the Waldorf Astoria Bangkok was fantastic, even if I essentially used a luxury hotel as a very fancy hibernation cave.
Dozens of other luxury properties are in the neighborhood, indicating it’s a reliable district to stay in on trips both leisure and business.
It was convenient given it is a a few stone throw from Centralworld and a 15 minute slow walk to Central Embassy.

Location is close to central world, big c, gaysorn, walkable to BTS station as well to get to Silom area.
Unfortunately there is a new hotel construction which is loud and the cranes where right by my window.
Currently, the large buildings on both sides of the Waldorf are being demolished and under construction.

The hotel is situated 10 mins from alot of night activities, restaurants and central world.
Bangkok is a great city for luxury hotels, with many to chose from.
The position is great in a beautiful area safe and full of restaurant

The hotel was in a great location walkable to all the shopping centres
Location is best as it is near central point, siam and chitlom.
Very well-located next to BTS station, Central World, Gaysorn and Paragon.

The location is ideal, right in the heart of Bangkok.
Like in every city location in bangkok…. Traffic noise….
Location is central to shopping, sightseeing and dining.

In the most desirable location in Bangkok.
Location: in the heart of downtown.
One regular and one higher end.

Breakfast: What guests say
View Waldorf Astoria Bangkok96 relevant reviews
Breakfast is repeatedly described as a stay highlight and among Bangkok’s best, with extensive high-quality Western and Asian choices, fresh fruit, pastries, made-to-order dishes, juices, and distinctive mango sticky rice served from a trolley. Service is usually excellent, though some guests reported crowded periods, slow drinks, and limited daily variation.

This one ran 360° for half the floor& had the most insane stuff, including multiple, novel egg preparations(the truffle cream Eggs Benedict was finger licking good!), soups/broths, a lady who kept cutting mangoes for the sticky rice( and a cart delivered to your table).
The breakfast exceeded all expectations, and the entire team, from the food and beverage staff to the front desk and the pool and spa staff, is fantastic and made our stay an unforgettable experience.
Alongside all of that, a huge Asian buffet with Japanese, Chinese, and Thai dishes — the mango sticky rice was a favorite I couldn’t resist most mornings.

The coffee and tea were wonderful, the juices too — I had the vitamin C boost every morning, and my husband’s smoothie was out of this world.
While there were international options, I believe a wider variety of international dishes, along with more daily variety, would better match the standards of a luxury hotel.
I then went to breakfast, where I was questioned about whether breakfast was included in my stay despite the reservation and benefits clearly indicating that it was.

When enjoying the breakfast, we hoped to have the bear picture coffee, Ms. Noon smiled to understand our wishes and finally we got the lovely coffee.
The food is consistently fresh, with a wide variety of both Western and Asian options, and several dishes rotate daily, so it never feels repetitive.
Breakfast: The absolute highlight of our stay. There was a wide variety of cuisine and fresh cuts available (God bless whoever serve us Jamon Iberico).

When seeing that we didn't finish our mango she asked if it was sour and initiated to pick us one which was sweet as honey.
At breakfast - the staff seemed rather annoyed when we kept ordering and only turned very chirpy and customer service oriented after we tipped them.
One of the highlights was, as always, the exceptional service at the delicious breakfast, with a huge selection of very diverse options, excellent drinks.

The breakfast was good in terms of quality, but it became repetitive as the menu was almost the same every day.
Breakfast is great and plenty of choices to begin with and we also have different fruits daily in our room.
We loved breakfast experience, the buffet was massive, and the staff went above and beyond to look after us.

Having fresh mango sticky rice served from a trolley directly to our table at breakfast felt so special.
I’m a huge breakfast lover, and pastries especially are what I look forward to most when traveling.
The breakfast delicious with a great choice and such a nice way to start the day

I’m usually not a breakfast person, but breakfast here is genuinely worth waking up for.
The Brasserie had very nice view and serve one of the best breakfast in town.
It is well-known that their breakfast is a top draw and rightly so.

The overall experience is enhanced by the friendly and attentive service provided.
And of course, I have to mention the mango sticky rice.
The food was amazing, lots of delicious healthy options for breakfast.

Very big fruit selection including all peeled and cut.
Guter Kaffee (LaMarzocco machine, fruchtige Röstung und guter Barista)
Food (breakfast and Bull & Bear) was nice.

Breakfast can have a bit of variation.
Speaking of the breakfast it was delicious!
We also particularly enjoyed the breakfast

Pool: What guests say
View Waldorf Astoria Bangkok54 relevant reviews
Guests frequently praise the rooftop/16th-floor pool for panoramic city, park, and sunset views, with attentive touches such as cold water, fruit, and in-water loungers. However, it is often described as small, shaded or windy; nearby construction can obstruct views and create substantial noise. Isolated reports mention dirty, debris-filled, lukewarm water and poor maintenance.

You will be deceived by the pool bar with service collection and taxes that are not included in the price, and there was no information on the menu.
On a hot day, the pool was heavenly, as was their ritual of offering a glass of cold water & a fruit skewer.
The only negative would have to be the view from the pool is obstructed due got anew building being built next to it.

The entire team, from the food and beverage staff to the front desk and the pool and spa staff, is fantastic.
We really don't have any complaints. The only thing missing was a hot tub but their pool was spectacular.
The pool, along with noise, has water that is too lukewarm and debris floating, making the water quality poor.

Similarly the pool and fitness centre, although the wind was pretty epic on a couple of afternoons.
The rooftop pool is a stunning spot to relax with panoramic views of the city skyline.
Pool was good size to use with nice view of looking over city center and park.

We only managed a quick dip in the pool, but we can’t wait to return.
On the 16th floor, the wind always blows and it is cool in the shade.
The pool area has shade in the afternoon, which was nice on a hot day.

The swimming pool was dirty, there were face mask & contact lens in the pool!
The pool is great albeit rather noisy from the construction side right opposite of it.
The swimming pool unfortunately faces this same renovation and is noisier because its outdoor.

The pool area is nice, but unfortunately the loungers are in the shade.
Wonderful pool and gym and even there is sauna and steamroom with it.
The swimming pool is small, lacks a proper view, and is poorly maintained.

The pool was a bit disappointing as well the construction with its noice.
The only bummer was that the big swimming pool was under maintenance.
The view from the pool itself is worth the price of admission.

Leider Baustelle nebenan oben auf dem Pool, deshalb dort zumindest (zu) laut.
At the pool we had ice cold water as well as fruits.
The pool is in the shade most of the day until 2.30pm

The Swimming pool is very nice, the view is so cool.
The pool was nice but new construction blocks it.
I loved I could do lap swimming overviewing Bangkok.

We also enjoyed the 16th floor pool area.
The pool area was very nice.
The pool is quite small.

Facilities: What guests say
View Waldorf Astoria Bangkok45 relevant reviews
Guests most often praise the rooftop Loft bar for cocktails, atmosphere, and sweeping city views, plus the infinity pool, sauna, steam room, spa, modern interiors, and immaculate common areas. Recurring drawbacks include a small gym, limited green space, construction, unreliable WiFi/TV/access cards, and bathroom amenities that feel below luxury standards.

The elevator chimes were either muted or inaudible, the sightlines to the elevator doors were poor, and the setback from the elevators was so shallow that even staff repeatedly missed arriving cars while trying to determine which doors had opened.
The shaver was terrible, the bedroom slippers are functional but not luxurious or plushy as one would expect from a hotel that bills itself as luxurious and has a price tag to match.
At one point the following morning, attempting to step backward to see the elevator doors more clearly caused me to bump directly into a decorative object behind me.

...beautiful facility, a little weird concept, a 15 floor lobby reception and a ground floor concierge ... because of the covered terrace, there is no sun all day!
Even though ambience in public spaces is pretty luxurious and exclusive, some more care for details such as loose wall panels in the aisles would not harm.
Facilities: The infinity pool, sauna, and steam room were fantastic. They even had an ice fountain for hot-and-cold contrast therapy, which was a unique touch.

The wifi was down, the TV was down, card assess also not working well, have to change assess card 4 times during my stay.
Common areas are squeaky clean (my wheelchair wheels literally squealed against the floor every turn I took!) and kept up immaculately.
The interior is so modern .. lobby is full of natural light due to the floor to ceiling windows.

Atmosphere: The property has airy, open-feeling ceilings and contemporary, minimalist textures—absolutely stunning, albeit not entirely unique to Thailand.
Having access to regular Thai TV is not really up to what we would have expected from Waldorf.
On the downside, it has limited green space, the southern views are mostly blocked by neighboring buildings.

Pool is fantastic with nice views of golf course and city. Plenty of shade and sun.
The elevator lobby, despite being visually striking, appears designed with little consideration for actual human movement.
A most memorable cheers on their rooftop lounge overlooking a city where modern dreams are made.

Building construction next door visible from window in room but no noise in room from that
Bar on top floor amazing. Great cocktails and small food options and inside smoking area.
The bar "The Loft" keeps on serving great drinks with a breathtaking view of Bangkok.

The night bar is also great and can enjoy the relax night and vibe there.
Located at the top of hotel, very nice vibe and fantastic view of city.
Can’t tell you more about the facilities available at the property, no business center!!

The unique design of the pool and the beautiful design of the breakfast venue.
Also like they have fresh coconut water for welcome drink is great too.
The only thing I would suggest would be to change the entertainment system.

Loft bar on the 55th floor was amazing where we watched the sunset.
As a Diamond you get extra credit for food/beverage and spa.
Free parking was also a big hit for our guests.

Hotel have spent lot of money in bathroom facilities
Good facilities and location proximity to shopping center.
AC, shower wasn’t working correctly.

Restaurant: What guests say
View Waldorf Astoria Bangkok43 relevant reviews
Dining is generally a major strength: Bull & Bear’s steaks, views, service, and seafood tower are repeatedly praised, while Front Room Thai cuisine, breakfast buffet, desserts, and rooftop drinks also receive strong reviews. However, some report limited dinner availability, average or poor room service, restricted menus, and one detailed complaint about unexpected restaurant charges.

Our bill came and they had given us a 25% discount as guests of the hotel so our dinner bill went from 3600 baht to 2600 baht and we left 500 baht tip so our total was 3100 baht (rounding to make math easier).
Dinner at Bull & Bear was similarly uneven: a perfectly decent steak paired with oddly amateurish sides — sweet mashed potatoes and aggressively salted truffle butter — interrupted midway through by a lengthy tableside apology from the duty manager while the food cooled.
Waldorf said they could not apply 2 discounts to the dinner so they removed the 25% discount, and said our dinner bill was 4500 baht even though 3600 baht pre-discount + 500 tip is only 4100 baht.

The Bull & Bear restaurant on the 55th floor offered a gourmet experience with stunning views - rsvp required to ensure a seat (ask for one by the window!).
So even though we overall liked the hotel and enjoyed our stay, be aware that Waldorf Bangkok will slip in extra charges to your bill when you leave.
Additionally, the service and food at their Western restaurant on the 55th floor are top-notch; I believe this is one of the best places for steak in Bangkok.

Among the highlights for me were the bidet in the bathroom, lush plants and fountains outside the sky lobby, and classy on-site restaurant, the Brasserie.
The “Bull & Bear” restaurant near the top is also right up there for ambience, the staff, and the quality of the food.
First of all, as a guy who ONLY eats Plant Based food, their buffet is the best I've experienced in all of Asia.

Only one disappointing factor for me was in-room dining where the food was a bit average despite the expensive price vs. local price.
The Bull & Bear restaurant on the 55th floor and bar on the 56 floor offered a gourmet experience with stunning views.
Also, the chefs's tasting menu at The Front Room was divine and featured a number of fusion Thai dishes that were incredible.

Our first night, we went to their Loft restaurant and had a light dinner to make sure we utilized the credit.
We didn’t even ask or know about the 25% hotel guest discount at the restaurant until they gave it to us.
There’s also the bar you’ll find at any Waldorf, Peacock Alley, but I didn’t have time to go on my visit.

Always there asking if i need more coffee and asking if i have any questions with the meal choices.
At no point, until we literally were checking out, did Waldorf tell us that discounts could not be combined.
On our first night, we dined at Bull & Bear, which offers breathtaking views of the Bangkok skyline.

The food was outstanding — some of the best I’ve ever had — and the service was flawless.
My last night, I was only able to eat at the bar, which has a very limited menu.
I would say its one of the best meals we have had in bangkok (pls try their desserts).

We also tried the red velvet cake-which the Waldorf actually invented, and it completely blew us away.
One is called the Front Room which serves Thai cuisine but we didn’t eat at this place.
Dinner at the Front Room was equally as enjoyable with dishes excellently executed while service was exemplary.

The food was delicious, and the prices were very reasonable compared to other five-star hotels.
There are limited dinner options unless you plan well in advance.
The service in the restaurant was very kind and thoughtful.

There were no restaurants open after lunch and before dinner.
The Thai restaurant was another highlight of my stay.
An exquisite selections of snacks at Peacock Alley.

Check-in / Check-out: What guests say
View Waldorf Astoria Bangkok33 relevant reviews
Check-in experiences are mixed: several guests report long waits or rooms unavailable, including arrival at 5 p.m. with a room at 6 p.m., plus luggage delays. The upper-level/two-lobby setup can feel inefficient. Late checkout and upgrades—especially for Diamond/FHR guests—were inconsistently honored, while some praised seamless, personalized arrivals and helpful staff.

No upgrade was given at check in even though you can see there are empty rooms in higher tiers when you search for the hotel rooms on check in day at the hotel front desk when you are checking in.
We pre-paid so after 15 minutes and getting on the phone with Amex, it wasn’t until we literally had Amex on the phone that, Waldorf “found” our reservation and everything was fine and we were able to check in.
At check-in, I was informed that the hotel was fully booked and therefore I would not receive a room upgrade, despite the fact that both Diamond status and the FHR program entitle me to one, subject to availability.

Checked out in the morning, they waived the pizza and a glass of wine I ordered by pool side, nice gesture, but still doesn’t justify the pest control/hygiene issues.
Also, there was this 1,000 Thai Baht credit I was supposed to use at the bar, but when I was checking out, they tried to charge me for it.
It wasn’t until I got on the phone with Amex that they miraculously “found” the reservation and it was not cancelled and everything was fine for check in.

Afterward, an associate personally walks you to your room and offers a full introduction to the space and its features—something you rarely see even at top-tier hotels.
Later on, I saw in the Hilton app that there were indeed better rooms open, which made me feel like the staff wasn’t being totally transparent.
However, during my time at the hotel, I checked availability online and saw upgraded room types appearing and disappearing — clearly indicating that there was availability.

Upon arrival, I was asked to wait approximately half an hour because I was told the hotel was attempting to upgrade me to a suite.
As a Hilton Honors member, I usually get some kind of room upgrade, but when I checked in, they said there were no upgrades available.
I spent my time to arrived at the hotel 1.5 hrs after the standard check-in time, but I was told, "your room is not ready".

Unfortunately during check in they didn't offer me the welcome drink and refused to give me the guaranteed 16 late check out (FHR reservation).
At arrival, we were told the max upgrade is to Deluxe Suite and since we already booked the deluxe suite, no further upgrade.
Pat from the Personal Assistant team kindly confirmed a late check out, allowing my schedule to remain comfortable before my evening flight.

When we checked in, they tried to tell us they found our reservation but it was cancelled so we had no reservation.
The late check-out at 1.30 pm went smoothly, even though a prior call revealed that not all team members had been informed.
The incidental fee for a 3 night check in is 18000 baht which would be released 7-14 working days upon check out.

Yes its weird that they have two lobbies and the check-in takes place in the upper lobby for some reason.
We experienced a delay during check-in, and it took quite a while before we got to our room.
Only negative was that when we checked out I think they forgot to order our transport to airport.

Everything from the check it, the turn over service, even the front door men and women were fantastic.
For anyone booking this as an Amex fine hotels booking, also beware that they may “lose” your reservation.
The staff kindly accommodated a late checkout, which was much appreciated and allowed for a more relaxed departure.

We tried to check in at about 5 pm but was told that there was no room available.
It’s been almost one week, I still not receiving the e-bill via email as they promised me.
There is not one interaction from check in to check out that I could fault.

Check-in was less efficient than expected, as it takes place on a different floor.
I was told I would be upgraded if something became available during my stay.
At that point I simply returned to the room, packed, and checked out.

Spa: What guests say
View Waldorf Astoria Bangkok18 relevant reviews
Guests repeatedly praise the spa’s massages, professional therapists, and treatment quality, with some calling them among their best and noting they fell asleep during treatments. Private changing rooms, Aesop toiletries, sauna, and steam room are distinctive amenities, though one guest found the spa average and others were disappointed when the sauna was unavailable despite prior confirmation; treatments cost more than local parlors.

I love the fact that guests have their very own private room to change adjacent to but separate from the treatment room complete not only with standard toilet & shower facilities, but thoughtfully equipped with lens solution & case, Aesop toiletries etc.
The massage was indeed more expensive compared to local parlors, but it was also one of the best I’ve ever had (special thanks to Patty).
Other than that, I love their massage so much that I even fall asleep which is the way I personally rate masseur.

I had called to check (before booking) if the gym had a sauna and was replied with the affirmative.
I was very disappointed as my colleague and I were very much looking forward to using the sauna.
The Spa experience was coordinated with swiftness by Mesa, together with Suthinee Ketnak and Vilaiporn Buntoonmahattana.

The Lavander Oil is what i just what i Need at a very reasonable price.
Unfortunately, we didn't have time to use the spa, but we would definitely recommend it.
My therapist, JJ, delivered the treatment with calm assurance and professionalism.

The spa was great and patty the masseuse was spot on.
The spa was fantastic and I highly recommend having a massage.
The other disappointing part is that the sauna was unavailable.

I even went back to get another 2.
Im thankful for your advice with oil.
The spa and pool were superb too.

Another highlight is the spa treatment rooms.
The sauna/steam room was also great.
The spa services are great

The gym is repeatedly described as very small, limited, or poorly equipped, with some older equipment and no cable machine. Other guests find it clean, well equipped, and open 24 hours with Technogym machines; the pool, sauna, and steam room are notable added amenities.

Very clean, water towels everything wonderful, but some of the equipment is a bit older or needs servicing and the room size is limited.
The fitness room is by far the smallest and most sparsely equipped I’ve ever seen in Bangkok at this level.
Gym: Open 24 hours, fully equipped with Technogym machines and had a great amenities (towel, locker room, wet wipes, etc)

Nicest surprise was the amazing gym with a little spa that has both a dry and a steam sauna.
And the small gym with very few opportunities stick out like a sour thumb.
If you like going to the gym, you will not like this hotel.

Wonderful pool and gym and even there is sauna and steamroom with it.
The gym while it’s not that big, it’s well equipped and clean.
Gym is not big but has enough and high quality equipment.

The Waldorf gym doesn’t even have a simple cable machine.
We know it differently from hotels in this category.
Their gym equipment and pool are also quite impressive.

With a tiny and poorly equipped fitness area
The fitness area is okay, but nothing more.
The gym and spa is not good equipped.

The pool and gym are great.
I enjoyed the fitness center.
Gym - mediocre

Gutes, modernes Gym.
Anständig klimatisiert.
Great gym.

Only negative was that when we checked out I think they forgot to order our transport to airport, it arrived 20 mins late and did not have a baby seat as requested, then traffic was bad so it was a stressful ride to airport.
Only negative was that the signage could have been done better as almost all taxis and transport were not able to locate the hotel entrance.
It’s about a 45 minute drive by taxi which cost us 500 baht or around $16 US so not bad at all.

We used the hotel’s chauffeur service for our airport transfer — a lovely touch.
Several of the Grab/taxi drivers almost missed the turn in.
Signage to the hotel lobby was not clear.

Transportation is too expensive
Mercedes airport pickup.
